Now let's get right to the message.

Praise the Lord.

How's everybody doing today?

I was thinking while we were worshiping, I was thinking about a time when I was a kid and how we had this old rooster.

And this rooster was a mean old cuss.

I mean, I was a I was scared.

I was a little guy.

And I remember, you know, growing up on a farm, you knew that, you know, the roosters were a little aggressive, but this one was just a little bit more aggressive than the normal rooster.

He was a mean thing.

And I remember as a kid, I could not, for the life of me, get in that backyard because the moment I get in that backyard, I get chased out by that big old rooster.

And I swear that rooster had to be this tall.

It's probably a little thing.

When I was a kid, it looked bigger.

But but I remember one day I mustered up enough courage to go and get in that backyard because man, that was my yard.

I'm not gonna let this chicken take over my yard.

And I'm out there just having a good time playing, just pretending, you know.

I used to be able to fly like Superman and uh just pretending and having a good time as a kid.

And as I'm out there, I remember that moment that me and that chicken caught eye to eye.

We were just standing looking at each other.

One of us was going to run.

And that chicken decided that day it wasn't gonna be him, and he started running after me, and I took off running, and I was shouting, and I was running, and I looked foolish.

And I remember running and screaming and jumping through the screen window.

I had to get back to the house and get in there.

You know, there's certain times of our lives you remember things like that, and it just kind of reminds you of something, you kind of tie it into something spiritual, and you know, anticipation, expecting something will cause you to do things that you normally wouldn't do.

And I I remember anticipating that chicken and what it was gonna do, and I'd already thought in my mind, what is this?

If it runs after me, I'm gonna take off.

I can beat this chicken.

But I know this for a fact that I'm no chicken, um, I'm not a chicken anymore, and I'm not gonna run from the devil anymore.

And I'm not gonna look like I'm foolish running from things that I don't need to run from anymore.

As a child of God, you're not a chicken.

You're strong in the Lord in the power of his might, and you have authority in the name of Jesus, you have his power, his blood, his anointing is it's a part of your life, and you don't have to be scared anymore.

You serve a powerful God.

I thought Steve was gonna take off preaching there for a minute.

He's got a little preach on him, doesn't he?

A little singing preach.

Amen.

That's good stuff.

Today I'm gonna be talking just a little bit about shout in the storm.

Shout in the storm.

Everybody say shout! Shout in the storm, celebrating the promises before we see it.

Praise is not based on what we see, but who spoke.

We'll say it again.

Praise is not based on what we see.

When I say see, I'm saying what we see with our natural eyes.

Praise is not based on what you can see with your natural eyes, praise is based on what he spoke over your life.

Many people praise God after the victory comes, but faith learns to praise God before, everybody say before the promise is manifested.

You don't have to wait to shout.

You can go ahead and start shouting now.

We can go ahead and praise God right now.

You don't have to wait until your prayers come to pass.

You can go ahead and start praising God in the journey.

Our praise is not reaction to our circumstances, our praise is a declaration of our confidence in God.

Do you have confidence in God?

Do you believe that he will always come through?

Do you believe that he's always made a way?

Do you believe that he's ever failed you?

No.

So do you have confidence in God?

Amen.

Romans 4 20 and 21, it's talking about Abraham here.

It says he did not waver at the promises of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God and being fully convinced.

Fully convinced.

There's a difference in being convinced of something and then being fully convinced.

Meaning you've thought it through and you've determined that God is faithful.

If he promises, he'll make it come to pass.

It'll take place in my life.

If it's a promise with God, it will always come to pass.

Said that Abraham staggered not at the promises of God through unbelief.

He staggered not.

I want you to turn to the person right beside you and tell them, I am not a staggernaut.

Wait, I am a staggeronaut.

Say it again.

I am a staggernaut.

See, you all should listen to me.

You all should be correcting me.

I am a staggernaut.

I stagger not at the promises of God through unbelief.

But Abraham stood in faith and he believed God when God told him that you're going to have a child.

And that and Sarah, his wife,'s going to conceive.

That would make anybody laugh to think they were in their 90s that they're going to have a child.

But he staggered not.

He was a staggernaut.

That's where I wanted to get.

There you go.

Faith celebrates because God's word is settled.

Come on, somebody.

Faith celebrates because God's word is settled.

God doesn't just speak off the cuff, He has already declared over you victory.

You say, Well, I'm just struggling.

I'm not having that victory.

Where's it at?

Listen, you're not a staggernaut.

Or you are a staggernaut.

Which one is it?

But God's word is settled.

Before the circumstances change, you've already declared that God is victorious.

And you've already started your little Holy Ghost jig.

You've already started shouting, celebrating, rejoicing, acting wild.

David said, I'll become more undignified than this.

Why?

Because he believed something.

He was standing on the promises of Almighty God.

He wasn't going to relent.

He was going to stand there and see the promises fulfilled.

We should be the same way.

We're not going to worry about how it happens or how it's going to take place.

All we know is that soon and very soon we're going to be dancing on the promises of God and we're going to be singing and praising and shouting and running and dancing and celebrating the victorious triumph of God.

Amen.

Hallelujah.

I am a stagger knot.

Israel celebrated the victory, but they could have been, when they were going to the promised land, they could have been, I underlined, could, they could have been celebrating the entire journey.

Amen.

They could have been shouting and talking about the goodness of God the whole journey.

They didn't have to wait till they went over the Red Sea.

They could have gone ahead and started praising the moment they stepped foot out of Egypt.

And even before that, when God told them through Moses that you would be delivered from the hand of Pharaoh, that's when they should have started celebrating.

Because when God says it, that settles it.

It's a done deal.

Exodus 14, 30 says, The Lord saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians.

And Israel saw the Egyptians dead on the seashore.

Thus Israel saw the great works which the Lord had done in Egypt.

So the people feared the Lord and believed the Lord and his servant Moses.

Now let's look at this.

Then they began to worship after they had seen the Pharaoh army completely swallowed up by the water.

Then they worshiped.

Come on, guys, we can go ahead and start worshiping before we cross through the Red Sea.

Exodus 15, 1 and 2.

Then Moses and the children of Israel sang this song to the Lord and spoke, saying, I will sing to the Lord, for he has triumphed gloriously.

The horses, its rider, he has thrown into the sea.

The Lord is my strength and my song, and he has become my salvation.

Let me ask you a question.

Has he became your salvation?

So is it time to praise?

So is it time to glorify God?

We don't have to wait anymore because Jesus is the Savior, the one who took away the sin of the world.

So we don't have to wait to rejoice.

We are already sin free and rejoice in his name because he is victorious already.

Amen.

Hallelujah.

They could have been celebrating before they even reached the banks of the Red Sea because God had already promised deliverance.

Exodus 6, verse 6 through 8 says, Therefore, say to the children of Israel, I am the Lord, I will bring you out from under the burden of Egyptians, I will take you as my people, I will be your God.

Exodus 6:6–8

You know those promises still ring true today, that he will still be your God.

When you're going through trials, you're going through tragedy, you're going through pain in your body, whatever it might be, whatever you're going through, he's still your God.

And he will still bring you out.

Hallelujah.

He's bringing you out.

Don't worry, don't fear, don't put God in a box and say, well, one day, someday He could.

You can say right now, because His Word declared it, that I'm free.

You don't have to wait to get it.

You have it right now.

The Red Sea did not create.

Everybody say, did not.

The Red Sea did not create God's faithfulness, it revealed God's faithfulness.

God is faithful.

No matter what you're going through, God is faithful.

The Bible says he's faithful, the one who promised.

If he promised it, it will come to pass.

Amen.

Hallelujah.

If he promised it, it's going to happen.

So don't wait to celebrate.

Go ahead and get your feet moving.

Put your shouting clothes on.

Don't wear tight clothes.

Wear clothes that you can raise your hand.

Don't worry about your belly button flopping out.

You know.

Go ahead and start praising God.

Amen.

Start wearing tennis shoes like Bob has there.

Wear tennis shoes to church because you might want to dance and run every once in a while.

Amen.

It's hard to dance in boots.

All you can do is line dance, you know, and do those crazy.

I'm not a line dancer.

I was a I was a never mind.

I am born again and redeemed.

Now, another example is when the disciples had the promise of God to cross over to the other side of the lake.

Jesus told them in Mark chapter 4, verse 35, on that same day when evening had come, he said to them, Let's cross over to the other side.

Mark 4:35

That was his word, and his word is his promise, and his promise will always be fulfilled.

God gave them a promise.

The promise came before, everybody say before.

Before the storm came, the promise came.

Jesus told the disciples exactly where they were going.

And he's told us today exactly where you are going.

The promise came before the storm, but when the storm came, they forgot the word Jesus spoke.

Because in Mark 4, verse 37 and 38, and a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat so that it was already filling.

Mark 4:37

But he was in the storm.

He was in the storm, asleep on the pillow.

You know, it's funny, when God's sleeping, we should sleep.

But God don't sleep.

So I don't know how that would work.

But Jesus slept.

Jesus was sleeping because he was 100% man and 100% God.

So he slept.

So when Jesus was sleeping, they should have been sleeping.

They should have been taking a nap.

Why?

Because God told them, or Jesus told them to go to the other side.

Now he'd have probably woke up and said, Why haven't y'all taken us to the other side yet?

Y'all are just sleeping.

But he did tell them to go to the other side.

Now, moving right along, the storm calls them to question what Jesus had already promised.

But Jesus never said they would not face storms.

He said, go to the other side.

He didn't say there wouldn't be some trouble.

He said, go to the other side.

You see, when Jesus has called you, you will be victorious in this world.

You're gonna have you're gonna have trials in this world.

But he also said, Be of good cheer.

Guess what?

I've already overcome this world.

Amen.

And then he said, You are more than an overcomer.

And you are more than a conqueror.

And you have the power of God on the inside of you, and no matter what storm you're facing, if the word of God is true, you will come through.

Mark 4, 39 through 40.

Then he arose and he rebuked the wind and said to the sea, Peace be still.

And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.

But he said to them, Why are you so fearful?

And how is it you have no faith?

The storm, it was temporary.

The word of God is eternal.

Your storms, they're here for a moment and they're gone.

They're temporal.

The emotions you're feeling right now, they're here right now, but in a moment they will pass.

But his word is everlasting and true forever.

And it stands forever, and it has always been forever, and will never change.

Your situations will change, people around you will change, emotions will change, but God's word never changes.

Now, here's a great example of someone who understood this.

Paul and Silas praised God before their circumstances changed.

Paul and Silas gave us one of the greatest examples of faith-filled praise.

Sometimes you have to praise by faith.

Sometimes you have to praise when it doesn't feel good.

When it doesn't feel like anybody else is standing in your corner, you feel like you're by yourself on an island and you don't know what to do, everything's dark around you, but you just throw up your hands and begin to praise God.

That's praising God by faith.

That is a sacrificial praise that goes beyond your emotions, beyond your feelings, and God has given us the ability to praise Him in the storm.

Acts 16, verse 23 and 25.

Acts 16:23

And when they had laid many stripes on them, they threw them in prison, commanding the jailer to keep them securely.

But at midnight, Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the prisoners were listening to them.

So that tells me one thing.

Number one is at midnight they weren't complaining and griping about all the situations they were in.

They weren't depressed or unhappy because they were in prison.

What did they begin to do?

They began to sing praise to God.

That tells me that you can praise God in the prison.

Praise Him in the prison.

When you feel like you're locked up and you feel like you don't have a way out, and you feel like the devil has the key and you don't know where to turn, you can go ahead and start praising right now.

Don't wait to praise God.

Go ahead and start praising now.

They were not praising God.

I want you to understand this.

They were not praising God because the prison doors were already open.

They were praising God because He is still worthy, even when you're in prison.

Acts 16, 26, it says, suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundation of the prison was shaken, and immediately all the doors were opened, and everyone's chains were loosed.

Their praise did not come because they were free.

On the inside.

Thank you, Jesus.

You know what the proof of that is?

The proof is this.

Paul and Silas, when the earthquake happened and the doors were opened, they didn't run out the prison.

That's the proof that they weren't praising God to get something.

They were praising God because he's worthy to be praised.

They weren't praising God because they were trying to convince God to bring an earthquake or an angel or something to get them out of prison.

That wasn't why they were praising God.

They were praising God because He's worthy to be praised.

And he deserves to be praised in every season of your life.

So much so that they waited in prison and the guard was about to kill himself because it was custom that if the prisoners were let loose, he would die.

So he was going to go ahead and take care of it himself.

But Paul and Silas said, Don't do yourself any harm.

And they led the prison guard to the Lord, and then they led his family to the Lord.

Don't tell me you can't praise God in prison and God do miraculous things for your life.

You don't have to wait till you're free.

You don't have to wait till the doors are wide open.

Go ahead and start praising right now in the storm.

Amen.

Faith does not need proof before you believe it.

If our faith needs proof, it's proof you have no faith.

If our faith needs proof, it's proof you don't have faith.

Thomas, remember doubting Thomas.

We get on to Thomas, but we do the same things.

Doubting Thomas, he struggled because he needed physical evidence before he would believe Jesus had risen from the dead.

Where was the struggle?

He needed physical evidence.

How many people have you talked to out there in the world that needs proof that Jesus is real?

Listen, you don't need proof.

You have his word, you have his spirit, and there's a there's a knowing on the inside of everyone that there is a God.

The problem is, is a lot of people determine in their own hearts that they should become God instead of serving a God.

They want to do things their way.

John 20, verse 25, it says, So he said to them, Unless I see the hand prints or the nail prints in his hands, I will not believe.

John 20:25

John 20, verse 29, Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed.

John 20:29

Blessed are those who have not seen me and yet believe.

Blessed are those.

Do I have anybody in here?

That has not seen Jesus, but you still believe.

Come on, somebody.

That means you're blessed.

Blessed are you because you haven't seen, and you still throw up your hands to an invisible God that you believe in and you still worship a God that you can read in the Word about, but you have never seen with your physical eyes.

Blessed are you.

That is faith.

To put your trust in something that you cannot see.

Faith does not demand proof before trusting God.

Faith trusts because God has spoken.

If God spoke it, you can believe it.

You can have trust in it and believe.

Hebrews 11:1 says, now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1

So if you have faith, guess what?

It's in something you can't see because if you see it, you don't need faith anymore.

Amen.

So the fact that you're going through a trial right now and you're believing God, that means you have faith.

If you don't need faith, you don't need faith.

If you're already healed, you don't need faith to be healed.

Amen.

But thanks be unto God that we can go ahead and celebrate right now that we are healed by faith.

If you believe what his word says, you can say, by his stripes, I am healed.

Amen.

And you don't have to wait to celebrate your healing.

Well, it just hadn't manifested, brother.

If it manifested, you don't need faith.

You got faith.

Go ahead and celebrate the faith of God.

Knowing that it's a done deal.

Amen.

When Jesus says, go to the other side, we can praise him during the journey.

We can shout in the storm.

We can dance in the rain.

We can celebrate before the promise.

Because God's promises are always yes and in him, amen.

That's 2 Corinthians 1 verse 20, for all the promises of God in him are yes and in him, amen, to the glory of God through us.

2 Corinthians 1:20

There may be seasons between victories.

There may be battles between promises, but we have confidence because God is faithful.

2 Corinthians 2.14.

Now thanks be unto God, who always, I want to say that again, always, always leads us to triumph in Christ.

We are to celebrate before we arrive.

You know, you don't have to wait until you get to heaven to start celebrating and giving God glory.

That song, um, I'll fly away.

We don't have to wait till we fly.

We can go ahead and start dancing and shouting and celebrate.

Somebody said, Oh, when I see Jesus.

So you know, you could go ahead and start singing, I could only imagine.

How does that go?

Surrounded by your glory?

What would my heart feel?

Would I stand before you, Jesus, or in my or to my knees, whatever?

I don't even know the song, but you know what I'm talking about?

Will I dance?

Will I bow down?

Why do you have to ask that question?

Go ahead and start doing it now.

Don't wait.

Don't wait.

Have fun in God's presence.

When Jesus calls us to go, he's already on the other side celebrating our victory.

I saw this the other day when I was praying.

I saw just a mental image of Jesus on the other side of the lake celebrating, rejoicing, and saying, Come on, guys, come on.

Just go ahead and start celebrating with me.

I'm over here dancing and shouting on the other side.

So you might as well go ahead and start shouting.

If Jesus stops dancing and stops shouting, you better stop dancing and stop shouting.

But the truth is, Jesus is not going to stop because he's always victorious.

And if he's always victorious, then we share in the victory of Jesus.

So we don't have to wait, we can go ahead and do it now.

Now, a couple more things, and I'm finished.

When we finally arrive, we will realize we have already been celebrating the goodness of God all along.

If God spoke it, he will accomplish it.

So praise him before the answer comes, praise him during the journey, praise him in the storm, because the God who gave the promise is the God who will complete it.

And this is the same when it comes to our righteousness.

And I was back there praying before service, and I felt like I need to say this.

When it comes to our righteousness, it's already a done deal.

When you receive Jesus as your Lord and Savior, you don't have to wait to be righteous.

He already gave you all the righteousness you'll ever have in Him.

So we don't have to wait to feel guiltless or shameless.

We can go ahead and now celebrate by faith that we are free from shame, guilt, and sin.

It has no more hold on you.

Jesus has won it all, and we are in him.

In Jesus' name.

Father, in the name of Jesus, Lord, I thank you so much for your word.

Lord, I thank you that your word is settled.

I thank you, Lord, for your goodness, your mercy.

Lord, we're going to partake together on the Lord's table.

And we're going to celebrate together the goodness of God and how much you mean to us.

And how much glory and honor you deserve.

Father, if there's anyone in here that does not know you as their Lord and Savior, I pray that they would make that commitment today to receive you as their Lord and Savior so that they can begin the journey of celebration, celebrating the goodness of God.

So if you're in here today and you don't know Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, and you would like to make that commitment to Him and confess that He is the Lord of your life, if that's you and you would like to do that today, if you would slip out from where you are and come up here to the front.

Anyone in here that does not know the Lord, amen.

Amen.

So today we're going to take of the Lord's table.

We're going to celebrate in communion together.

And when we do that, I want you to remember.

Remember his goodness.

Remember his grace.

Remember his faithfulness in your life.

Especially if you're going through something in your life right now that's tough.

When we're taking of communion today together, start meditating on the goodness of God and begin to praise him that he'll always come through in your life.

That you don't have to wait to celebrate, that you can go ahead and start now declaring the goodness of God and his faithfulness.

Amen.

Amen.

All right.

We're going to come together, everybody.

Um, you guys know how to do it.

You've done it a few times now.

We're going to take together.

Let's all stand together.

You know, when we take communion together, it's it's it's done as a family.

This is my family.

We are a we're part of the body of Christ.

So we're one together.

The Bible says every joint supplies, and you're connected to each other.

And if there was no connection, then the joint couldn't supply.

But because there is a connection, there is a supply.

And this is to remember what Jesus did for all of us.

The sacrifice he made.

When he said to the Father, Is there any other way?

If there is, let this cup be taken from me.

But nevertheless, not my will, but your will be done.

So Jesus, he followed through.

He went the whole distance because when he was doing this, he said, For the joy that was set before him, he endured the cross, despising the shame.

What does that mean?

That means when he was on the cross, he was thinking of you and he was thinking of me.

And he said, as often as you do this, as you partake of the bread, you do this in a remembrance of me.

His body was broken.

So let us let us all break the bread together and let's partake together as a family.

Thank you, Jesus.

Thank you, Jesus, for what you did for us.

Thank you, Jesus.

Thank you, Jesus.

In the same way, he took the cup and he said, This is the New Testament in my blood.

Meaning there was a new covenant coming.

And he looked at the disciples and he said, There is a new covenant on its way.

And I'm going to be the one that ratifies this new covenant with my blood.

My blood will secure the deal.

My blood will be the receipt that you will need from here on.

And he shed his blood.

He was the Lamb slain before the foundation of the world.

Predetermined in the Father's heart that he always had a plan of salvation for us.

And it always was going to come through the blood.

Now we don't believe that this grape juice becomes blood.

It's a type and symbol of the blood.

But we definitely believe that Jesus shed his blood.

And this is us celebrating the new covenant together.

So let us all raise our glass together and thank God for the blood.

Amen.

Let's partake together.

Thank you, Jesus.

Hallelujah.

Thank you, Jesus.

Lord, we love you and we're so thankful.

Hallelujah.

Hallelujah.

Thank you, Jesus.

We love you, Jesus.

We are so thankful for you.

Hallelujah.

Thank you, Jesus, for your blood.

Thank you for setting us free.

Thank you for the new covenant, which was based on better promises.

That we have the promises of God, and we can go ahead and start shouting all the way to the bank.

Hallelujah.

Thank you, Jesus.

Thank you, Jesus.

Hallelujah.

Just lift your voice and praise Him.

Lord, we love you.

We love you, Jesus.

Hallelujah.

Oh, glory to God.

Hallelujah.

Thank you, Jesus, for your blood.

Thank you, Father.

Thank you, Jesus.

Hallelujah.

Hallelujah.

Well, I love you guys.

Wednesday nights we have service, and it it's just every time we come together, I believe the Lord is just doing great things.

And I love seeing you guys, so you guys are more than welcome to come on Wednesday nights.

Don't be a stranger.

And I wanted to say something before we dismissed.

I heard my wife did pretty good preaching at the women's meeting on Thursday.

And I'm proud of her.

You all don't know this, but you know, when I took on the position here as your pastor, my wife's one request, I will not be up on that stage preaching.

Don't even think about it.

Say one step at a time.

One of these days y'all are gonna come in, she's gonna be up here fireball.

Yeah, okay.

And my wife wanted me to let you know, all the ladies that came to the women's meeting, um, that they are now having it at the breadbasket in Rushville.

And it'll be the same time, which was 6:30.

Bring your finger foods.

Um, just so you know, um, this church is blessed.

If you didn't know that, now you know.

We we are a blessed church.

We really are.

Come on, somebody should get a better amen.

I know you're ready to go out the door, but hey, we're a blessed church, amen.

We're a favored church.

Let me say something.

I I you don't have to have faith for favor, it's a gift, and it comes with the package of salvation.

Amen.

All right, never mind.

I'll preach on that one day.

But I want I want to tell you something.

The lady from the breadbasket, the owner of the company, came up to Tiffany one day.

She was talking out loud like she always does, and and the lady overheard her talking about having a women's meeting, and for no reason, the owner of the company comes up to her and she's like, Hey, if y'all want to have it here, you can have it here.

Okay.

Well, okay, we'll we'll uh we'll think about it.

Yeah, that absolutely.

And she goes, and and I'll just give you the key and you all can lock up when you're done.

That's favor, guys.

Come on.

Amen.

Amen.

But I do want to say this on behalf, I really do appreciate her for her allowing us to do that because that that's kind of a step of faith to allow somebody you don't even know to come into your business.

And um, you know what?

I give it up to them for that, and I pray the Lord will bless them because of it.

Amen.

Increase their business and just strengthen their families and heal their bodies, and just the blessing that's on this church will also capture her heart.

And um, man, if we're in there, minister to her, minister to them, be good to people when you're out in the community, amen.

Tip big, love big, give big, be good to people.

And yeah, and also uh Heather and Lynn, their house was available last week, and there was over 26 women at their house.

Lynn had to he kick, well they kicked him out of the house.

He fell asleep in a sofa over by the lake.

One day we'll have a picture of that up on the screen for y'all to see.

But uh, anyways.

Man, the Lord is good.

This family is so awesome.

I love you guys.

This church is just every day I come and I see you guys, I don't want to let you leave right now.

So we're having a women's meeting right now.

So, you ladies, if you're going to Colorado or want to go to Colorado, or one day gonna go to Colorado, I want y'all to stay after church.

She wants to talk to you, tell you how much it's gonna cost and all the details.

All you guys, thank you for being such awesome people.
