-
Each week, we share a message that's rooted in the faithful teaching of God's
-
Word and open to the vibrant work of the Holy Spirit among His people.
-
Here's this week's message.
-
Thank you for Gilbert, Lord. Thank you, Lord, for the gifts that you deposited into him.
-
God, we thank you, Lord, that as it comes, bring your word, Lord,
-
that you'll be speaking through him, Spirit, that you would move lightly.
-
God, we just ask them that you would cause a fruitful heart from your word of
-
the Lord today. In Jesus' name, amen. Amen.
-
Hallelujah. Okay, I know in Israel we like Hallelujah so much,
-
so every time I say Hallelujah, I expect you to respond back by Amen. Hallelujah.
-
Thank you very much.
-
Yes, like what Steve has said, my name is Gilbert.
-
I am one of the elders in Nehemiah Church. and today we got this privilege that I should speak to you.
-
I am married, Dostela, and I have four teens.
-
I love Jesus Christ. I'm born again.
-
Today we are starting a new series titled The Fruit of the Spirit And today
-
I will talk about one of the fruits of the Spirit.
-
So before I go deeper into the word of today, let me invite Huzain to come and pray for us.
-
Okay, so I'm going to be reading from Galatians 5, verse 22 to 23.
-
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance,
-
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
-
Against such things there is no law.
-
Then I'm also going to read from Isaiah 9, verse 6.
-
For to us a child is born to us a son is given and the government will be on
-
his shoulders and he will be
-
called wonderful counselor mighty God everlasting father things of peace,
-
Amen thank you very much for the readings,
-
today we'll look at peace as being the one of the fruits of the Spirit,
-
when you go into somebody's house,
-
most of the house, you are going to find a fruit bowl.
-
Above, inside, there is fruit.
-
And in that bowl, So, the what those fruits look like will enable you to distinguish an apple, banana,
-
orange, or maple.
-
And these fruits are put at a place where it's visible for everyone to see.
-
So, you can go wherever you go, you will see this.
-
That means these are fruits for the world, which are the product of the tree for helping mankind.
-
All these apples, bananas, they are there to help mankind.
-
They are there to help you and live. So even in the Spirit, we have the fruits,
-
which are spiritual food for helping others. Hallelujah!
-
We have this spiritual fruit, spiritually.
-
And these fruits of the Spirit are spiritual characteristics for a believer.
-
Who is a believer? A believer is someone who accepts Jesus Christ as the Lord and the Savior.
-
And when you accept Jesus Christ and the Lord and the Savior,
-
automatically, these fruits, these spiritual fruits are born.
-
And when these fruits, spiritual fruits, are born in you, they become visible to everyone. world.
-
So when you receive Jesus Christ, the fruit which has been read,
-
they become visible and everyone can tell that this is a Christian.
-
This is a believer. What makes some people to tell that it is the fruit of the
-
Spirit which are sealed in us? Hallelujah.
-
So I hope from the first day you received Christ,
-
those spirits became visible to you and to all the people surrounding you,
-
that whenever they see you, they notice and they realize that you are Christ's child.
-
So from Galatians 5, verse 22, K'hiyaan, it mentions this fruit,
-
and one of the fruit which it has mentioned, it is peace.
-
The fruit of peace must be seen to every individual and every believer who accepts Jesus Christ.
-
So, a believer, when I say peace, I believe.
-
When I say peace, everyone understands what I mean.
-
I don't want to ask people saying, what do I mean? When I say, what does peace mean?
-
Some people will start to go into dictionaries and search for the meaning of the word peace.
-
But I know and I believe that we understand what it means by the word peace.
-
But I want to define it for you in a simplest and a spiritual way so you can
-
understand what it means.
-
Yes, this piece, I mean piece, it is the calmness of the heart.
-
The calmness of the heart and the thoughts based on the understanding that all
-
things are good in a believer and the Heavenly Father.
-
So this is the peace I'm talking about. I'm not talking about the peace of the world.
-
You know, the peace of the world, it is like people...
-
You hear that there is conflict somewhere, and then they said peacemakers there
-
to try to bring the peace.
-
And at the end, those people stays five years, 20 years, 30 years, no peace at all.
-
A good example is my country in Congo.
-
From 1996, there have been war, and there have been people, peacemakers all
-
over the world, having there, trying to bring peace, but there is no peace yet.
-
Now, the peace. This peace I'm talking about here,
-
which is the front of the Spirit, is quite different from the word peace. Hallelujah.
-
When you gain this spiritual gift, when you get this spiritual fruit in you, you have peace.
-
So no matter what you are going through, sicknesses, pain, trouble,
-
heartbreak, you just know.
-
Or in the world, you just have to know that you have peace.
-
Because when there is everything between you and God, when there's calmness
-
of your heart, when there is calmness in every situation,
-
because you have Jesus rest with the Savior and the One who is the place of the peace.
-
This is spoken of in the fruit of the Spirit.
-
It comes only from God.
-
It is only from God where I will get this peace.
-
So, if you are troubled, my friend, my brother, my sister, the only place you
-
can get peace of mind, it is from Him, the Heavenly Father.
-
It's the only solution. is the only place.
-
And let me surprise you. You might be having problems at home,
-
you might be having challenges at home, but when you come to church,
-
you forget all those challenges, you forget all those problems,
-
and you find when we are singing Cornerstone, we are all singing with each other,
-
because in the hands of the Father, there is peace. Hallelujah!
-
Now, like I said before, this piece is only available to believers,
-
and it has one goal for the believers.
-
It only has one goal.
-
And this goal is what we want to look at all together.
-
And for that reason, I will ask everyone to open this bag.
-
In the book of Phoecians, chapter 4, verse 7.
-
Everyone, open your Bible in your own language, because this verse,
-
we are going to read it loud, all of us at once.
-
So I will count to 1, 2, 3, and then we'll read this verse.
-
Philippians chapter 4, verse 7.
-
I hope you are there.
-
I hope you are there. Let me give you time to be there.
-
The Book of Philippians, Chapter 4, Verse 7.
-
You're reading your own language? We read loud? So it will be very interesting. Candidate 123, go.
-
Na amani ya Mungu ipitayo akirizote itawaifadi mioyeno na niyazeno katika Christu Yesu. Amen.
-
It says, And the peace on God that surpasses all understanding will guide your
-
heart and demand in Christ Jesus.
-
So, when you answer the Jesus curse, the fruit of the Spirit of peace automatically
-
dwells in you. And what is one purpose?
-
To guide your heart and your mind.
-
When you are God, your heart and the mind are guided by the Spirit.
-
Automatically, the fruit of the Spirit of peace bears its fruit to the world.
-
You find you are the person, you are a kind of a person who may give peace wherever
-
you go and wherever you are.
-
Because this fruit bears fruit. Hallelujah.
-
The fruit bears fruit. Now, the fruit bears in you, and then from you, it bears to others.
-
In conclusion, let our hearts not desire things that are contrary to the will of God.
-
And so, the peace of God will guide us, will guide our mind,
-
will guide the way we walk, and everything we do will be peaceful in Jesus' name.
-
Amen. God bless you for
-

-
