3rd April 2022 - Communion Service - Simon Chaffer - Resurrection Life

Sharing with us this morning. I'll pray and and I'll hand over to Simon

as he shares the word with us this morning. We step into a new

new theme in April, and resurrections absolutely part of that. What a great

way to bring some focus to our word this morning. So, Father,

I pray that our hearts would be softened, Lord, our ears would be

opened. Speak to us and through us we pray our God and Father.

As Simons has given time, Father, I pray that you give back to

him and more. Father's anoint his his word. Lord, as you've anointed

his preparation. Speak to us. So, girl, we pray in your

mighty name. Amen, Good morning. So the title of this, this,

this this preach is a resurrection life. The SWNG a lot of songs

this morning about what Jesus has done for us as we approached Easter. Remember

his death, Remember his resurrection, because he died and rose again. We

have a way, whether no, there was no way to come to the

Throne of Grace, to come to come to God as the part of his

family. We're adopted, aren't we into God's family? File says Jesus was

the first born from them the dead where the second bone, third bone,

the fourth phone, the fifth bone. When we went into that relationship Flossians

one eighteen, just as foundational scripture, keeping up, please thank you.

He is head of the body, the church, or the ecclesia, which

is the beginning, which is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead.

But in all things he may have the preeminence Jesus the firstborn. We will

follow after him. As we follow after him, we need to walk as

Jesus walked, and live as Jesus lived. Romans eight and burst two.

Just looking at the foundation of scripture says, for the law of the spirit

of life in Christ, Jesus has made me free from the law of sin

and death. For the law of the spirit of life in Christ, Jesus

made me free from the law of sin and death. Jesus has set us

free. We're no longer bound by the bond of slavery. We're no longer

bound by drugs, We're no longer bound by alcohol or other habits. When

Jesus comes, he sets us free. And sometimes not all that wants,

sometimes progressive that Jesus sets us free, and he wants us to live a

life of liberty, freedom, from bondage. He wants to live in his

resurrection life. Two Corinthians five seventeen's are very familiar scripture for most. It

says, we are a new creation. All things have passed away. Behold,

all things have become new, All things have become new. Purpose this

way. In Galatians two twenty, I have been crucified with Christ. It

is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me, and the

life which I now live. I live in the flesh. I live by

faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Some very foundational scriptures which communicate the tenants of the Christian faith. This

morning, I want to speak about resurrection life. That's what the holyspits gave

me, so I'm going to stick with that. But it's my body where

it's his life. The life will live in the flesh. I live by

faith in the Son of God. Is his life. When we come from

the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light, we receive his life that's

in, that's in abundance to the full, to that overflows, and he

wants his life to flow through us. People might argue about the resurrection how

can that happen? How can both is so? But they cannot argue about

the life, the Zoe life, the life of God which flows from each

one of us as we walk with him. And that is the essence of

this this this message this morning. So and in the pose of the two

questions, and let's see what the Holy Spirit does for I've got a particular

pattern for this. So so he goes, yeah, m hm hm.

So it's my body, but it's his life. It's your body for his

life. So a question, are you letting that life flow through you to

other people or have you bottled it and put it on the shelf. He's

his life flowed to other people if you allow him to speak through you,

move through you. Do you allow that life to flow and touch people?

We are his hands and we are his feet. H m hm hm m

m m hmm. Cover of three points. I think three points. H

To walk in the resurrection life, we must be connected to the sauce.

Now that life flows out of us. We must draw continually from that source.

So you must be connected to the sauce. When you have a host

pipe and you turn it on and it's all laid out, you're going to

walk to the garden. I don't want the garden last night. You turn

it on and the hose do do do? Do do? Then it just

shoots out. If you're not get hold of it, it starts doing this.

Otherwords, the hose flips around. If you connect to that source,

you're going to flip for around too. We need to allow the Holy Spirit

to flow through us, so we don't flip for around. We need to

be connected, and that flow of gotl likely to be directed to those people

around us. To do that, we must be connected. We're not connected

to the sauce. There's no there's no power flowing through. If you kink

that hose and you turn it on, when you look in for the water

come out, and then it comes out, kinks out, and then the

kink comes out. You get water in your face. You know when when

there's a blockage, there's no life flowing. We need to be connected.

A scripture which Jesus used to explain this is John fifteen and verse four.

It's the amplified version dwelling me and I will dwell in you. Live in

me, and I will live in you. Just as no branch can bear

fruit or b itself without being vitally united to the vine. Neither can you

bear fruit unless you abide in me, dwelling me, or live in me,

or abiding me, depending the translation, and I will live in you.

Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in the vine

or being vitally united. Either can you bear fruit unless you abide in me.

It's you. The key to walking in in resurrection life is relationship.

No relationship, no power, no life. Daily communion with the Lord means

when you come from your place, a prayer, come to your face,

wherever you do with him, when you go out to the world, his

life flows through you. You've got to receive that life that you flow out.

We tend to leak a better way putting it. We need that daily

communion. You can't if you go without food for a meal fair enough.

If you go without food for three or four days, you start to feel

it. If you go for about twenty eight days, you really feel it.

You've got nothing to give. We need to be conected to the sauce

so that we can give what's what He's got for us to give is the

pipe analogy of the house pipe. If the host pipe is not connected to

the water source, you're going to get nothing coming out of it. The

conduity is still there, the means of communicating the water still there. But

if you're not connected with the sauce, you can stand there all day.

We need to be connected to the source. He wants us to release that

resurrection life to those people around us. It all starts with a relationship.

So where are you and where do you want to be? Is everything going

well? Are you regularly connected or do you have a disconnect? That would

had the Internet kicking off earlier? As song was going to stick Carter,

wasn't it. You know, when everything's connected, everything flows. When we're

not connected, we don't get that. And it's his desire and it's his

plan, and this is purpose that you and I and those people listening and

watching on the stream flow in that resurrection life every day. It's not necessarily

what we say, but it can be. But it's an expression of God's

love, God's power, God's person, God's presence through our lives, which

makes a difference. People don't necessarily remember the big things that you do for

them. It can be the little things that make a difference. A lot

of hurting people out there. We were hurting people. We were people who

walk through the link. Now we have that resurrection life and us we should

be walking in the fullness that God has died to give us abundant life to

the folk that it overflows. John ten ten. I'm not going to go

there, but look at a it's number one. Must be connected to the

source that resurrection life flow through us. Number two, we must follow God's

plan. God's a purpose and a plan for our days. God doesn't do

random He has purpose and he has plan. I always prayer them in the

right place at the right time, so I can fulfill that plan through my

life. And God does that every day. Jesus put it this way in

John five nineteen to twenty one, most assuredly, I saved you. The

son can do nothing of himself, but he sees the Father do and do.

For whatever he does, the son also does. In like manner,

Jeeus only did what he saw the Father do. We should only do what

we hear. The Holy Spirit give us the direction to do. Overstep the

mark. Give what God gives you to give, Be what God gives you

to be. Walk in that anointing presence of the Holy Spirit. In you.

For the Father loves the son and shows him all things that he himself

does, And he will show him greater works than these, that you may

marvel for the Son raise. For the Father raises the dead and gives the

life, gives to them. It gives life to them. Even so,

the Son gives life to whom we will. For the Father raises the dead

and gives life to them. Even so, the Son gives life to whom

he will. H h. John twelve and verse forty nine says, if

I have not spoken on my own authority, but the Father who sent me,

he gave me a command. What I should do, what I should

say, what I should speak. We need to walk in such a way

as when we hear what Jesus gives a direction to say. We say words

carry power, they carry life, or they carry death. We can bless

some of the day, or we can curse some of our words. When

we walk in His person and we want that resurrection life to flow through us.

We need to be connected to words of life. Resurrection words of life.

The power of God is deposited in us. We are earthly lessons with

the heavenly treasure, and there we got to let that life out. Paul

said, it's my body, but it's his life. It's my body for

his life. We've got to let that life out. We do that through

our maths. We do that through our actions. She is only said and

did what he saw father say, and do think about that everywhere he went.

He only said and did what the Father said I did. H Are

we doing that? M hm? Are we doing that? We're all different

places that way. That's how we need to stretch too, is what they

call it work, a stretch target. You've got to stretch to it.

You're not you don't feel intimidated, but you're stretched to it. Or as

postive, you pressed towards the goal. In Christ Jesus, he pressed towards

the goal. If it was easy, I wouldn't be doing it with me.

The Bibber talks about walking in as I be bad back, talking a

narrow way, the way of Hollings a narrow way. To walk a narrow

path, it's not as you as a white path takes good to take determination.

But with the help of the Holy Spirit, that resurrection life can flow

to people around us. M John fourteen and verse twelve. Keep me out,

please thank you most assurely, I say to you, he who believes

in me, the works that I do, he will do also. And

greater works than these he will do because I go to them, bar them.

He who believes h If you believe, that means you're included. The

works that I do, he will do also. Jesus expects us to do

what he did, So the matter who we are, he expects to do

what he did, and greater works than these, because I go to my

father, greater works than this. So on the Monday morning you wake up,

you've got to go to work or online, whether you do nowadays,

depending what the situation is in your business or your company, be prepared to

do greater works, Be prepared to do what he did. Be prepared to

that resurrection life flow through. You get connected in the morning, if you're

not connect, if you're not conect to the source, and whenever. We

all have these things now, don't in mobile phones or smartphones everyone they call

them. If the smartphone is not plugged in and the patch of drains down,

nothing doesn't work as it you're stuck. Can't you If a laptop's not

plugged in or it is not working. If you're working remotely nowadays, there's

nothing worked at it. You've got to be connected to the source. Like

these devices have to be connected to a source. We've got to be connected

to that source daily in that daily connection, so that power of God is

gracious and powerflows and Dad, we undone anything. But you've got to get

into good habits. We've got to get into good habits. Got on to

stretchers to look at things differently. It's not business as usual. It's not

business as usual M. Because once its people to step up and allow that

resurrection life to flow. We celebrate it and we thank God for it,

and it needs to be celebrated. It needs to be thanked, but it

needs to flow. It needs to flow because people are going to die today

and there's no way back. When it's over, it's over. M.

I mentally say earlier, but I'll mention it again. So step three be

in the right place at the right time. And we do with that by

following the leading of the Holy Spirit. Again, it's all about relationship.

If you don't know him, you can't lead. You to take somebody by

the hand and lead them somewhere. You know that print's got your hand.

You know that you know you are they're leading you. You trust them to

lead you where you're going. Sometimes I take the rain across the road and

I hold that she holds my arm and I take her down the road,

and she trusts me to get her across that road, you know, and

I get her across the road, but she trusts me. We do that.

We need to trust the Holy Spirit to leaders and guide us and directors.

Sometimes when we cannot see where we are going, or we cannot we

do not know what he's doing, because he knows what he's doing. He

knows where he's going. Hm hm hm, look one, look for sorry

and verse one giving up, please, Rachel, thank you. Then Jesus,

full of and controlled by the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan as

led by the Holy Spirit. Jesus was full of, controlled, led and

directed. He was immersed in the spirit, the spirit of God. He

was full of the Spirit of God. Earlier we were, we would do

greater things. Jess wants us to walk full of the Holy Spirit like he

was full of the Holy Spirit. You cannot give what you haven't got.

If that relationship pieced again, no relationship, no power, no change.

We're not seeking power here, we're seeking the person. It's God's power that

changes people. We're just flesh and blood. This is a flesh and blood

God. It's the power of God in these earthly vessels, which makes a

difference that resurrection life. Romans eight fourteen says, all who are led by

the Spirit of God are sons of God, sons and daughters of God.

That's Romans eight and verse fourteen. We are led by the Holy Spirit.

Theres amount of pack up and go home, because you're doing your own thing,

and that's not going to work. Galatians five and verse twenty five says,

for we live if we if if we live by the Holy Spirit,

let us also walk by the spirit. If by the Holy we have our

life in God. Let us go forward walking in line, our conduct controlled

by the Holy Spirit. Relations five twenty five the amplified version of it,

just a few scriptures which points in the right direction. How Jeus wants us

to behave, how Gus wants us to live. It's my body, but

it's his life. The life I live in, the pleasure lived by faith

in the Son of God, would loved me and gave himself for me.

It's my body, but it's his life. It's your body that it's his

life. The Holy Spirit carries the power comes from the Throne of Grace.

Supposing our lives. We release it by faith those people around us, through

your mouth or through actions. It's our body, it's his life. To

tend nothing else on this meeting today. Remember it's your body, it's his

life. Let his life flow through you. Do not miss an opportunity to

finis to his grace to those people around us. M hm, m hm

hm h m hm. Can a stand up? Please? Yeah, h

h thank you h m hm h m hm oh h. Father, pray

for those people standing now. They will learn to walk, learn to release

your resurrection life. I thank you, Lord. It's your body. It's

our body, but it's your life. It's our body, but it's your

life. I prayed help each individual, Lord, take them from where they

are and where you want them to be. Mhm. It's not the work

of a man, it's the work of the Holy Spirit. God says,

do not be afraid, Well, Matthew, do not be concerned. God

will take you step by step, and each step will be your miracle on

this journey of releasing his resurrection life through your life to those around you.

Do not try to run before he can walk, but allow him to show

you, allow him to teach you, allow him to minister his grace to

you. This is a defining moment. God wants to work with you and

through you. That's what he asked me to ask you to stand up so

I could pray for you. Forget those people listening on the internet, and

those people listening later receive this prayer. God wants to take you from where

you are and bring you to where he wants you to be. He wants

you to be conduits of his love, his grace, his resurrection life.

Wants that to flow through you. This is not the work of a man.

This is the work of the Holy Spirit. God is a spirit.

Believe it and receive it now in the name of Jesus. Do not doubt,

do not fear. Trust God to speak to you. Trust God to

minister through you to those people around you. In Jesus name. Sit now.

Thank you mm hm. So if you don't know him today, you

can know him. Listen to this message you're watching on the Lives Trade that

you can know him. Romans ten eight to nine says the word is near

you in your mouth and in your heart. That's a word of faith which

we preach. If you confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that

God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. With the heart,

one believes to righteousness. With the mouth, confession is made to salvation.

So with the heart you believe. With the mouth, you confess.

So confess with your mouth. I believe in you. Take my life.

Shape it, make it what do you want it to be. I believe

He died for me and that God raised you from the dead. Take my

life, Jesus, it's yours. It's as simple as that. Then connect

to a local church, or if you can't find the local church, connect

to us. Start your journey of walking in God's resurrection life. Start it

today. M h amen h m hm h m h mh. Just before

we move on from the word, the picture that Simon gave as he talked

about a hose, and as he was talking about that picture, I just

saw a couple of things as I was praying alongside as Simon was speaking,

and I just saw there's one or two people who were kind of looking at

their hose and kind of seeing the dribble coming up and just wondering what was

going on. And I just saw two pictures. And I don't know who

this is for, it's for you. I'm going to ask you to stand,

and I'm going to pray. But there's two pictures I saw. Number

one, I saw a picture where the hose was tangled and the father was

just wanting to gently pull it. It wasn't going to pull it really hard,

and he's just going he's gently going to tease it. And that was

that not just became unraveled. And so if you sense the father pulling on

your hoes as it were, then please would you stand today. I just

sens the Lord wants to unravel some stuff today for you. And then the

second one was a picture of the hose and it wasn't tangled at all,

but there was a foot on it. It wasn't the father's foot. He

wasn't stopping the flow of what he was doing, but there was there was

something some external force, and I just saw the father come and just pull

the hose out from under the foot and the flow was released. So if

either of those two pictures is speaking to you this morning, whether you're at

home, whether you're listening later, whether you're listing in the room, would

you stand right now? I just want to pray. I don't I sense

God speaks through pictures for people at different times in different ways. If that's

for you, would you stand. I'm just going to pray. I'm not

going to call you out. I'm just going to pray for those that are

standing. So, either the hose was tangled or it's a foot on your

hose. And I just sensed the Father just gently pulling in both circumstances,

one to take to take the wrongful authority that's stopping the flow of His life

in you and through you by His Holy Spirit. And the second one was

it's just stuff God's tangled up and and Father God, I want to pray

right now for all those who are standing. Father, would you cause your

spirit to flow again? Father? Would you just gently do the thing that

you do so graciously? Would you release your power of God? Would you

release, Lord God, your spirit? Let it flow. I pray,

O, God, unlock the tangles, unlock the constraints, and let each

one be fruitful in you. We pray in Jesus' name. Amen m hm.
