25th September 2022 - Teaching Service - Forgiveness A Kingdom Principle

The morning. Hmm Sorr. We pray all this perps are welcome with this

morning, take these words and speak to our hearts so we can learn something

more of the Kingdom of God, your way of doing things and being right.

So we're continuing the series of wash Free this morning and we're going to

look at the subject of forgiveness, the Kingdom principle. Now, any journey

we take as a beginning, as the middle, and there's an end.

If you know your destination, it's easy to know these points on your journey.

You map it out on your map as you go. We just returned

from a five hundred mild trip around the Highlands of Scotland, lots of locks,

mountains, white sandy beaches, so journey we chose to make, and

we also planned our stops on that journey all we wanted to see. In

life, we also journey, or we navigate through situations and circumstances. Often

the start, we don't necessarily know where these are going to end, never

mind where the middle is. Some of these can be rewarding and some can

be very challenging, and some can be a real grind as we go through

those situations. As we go through those circumstances wherever do it can just push

through and keep on going. And it can be like that in life,

can't it. Life is not a picnic. I think it's other people say

there has good bits and they have notts so good bits for its life.

And when we receive Jesus, we enter through the door Jesus himself into the

Kingdom of God, and our liies change two Corinthians five seventeenth. There's all

things are passed away, all things become new. And my paraphrase, all

things passed away, all things because news. So we move from one life

into another life. We leave behind the past and move forward. Life doesn't

stop, but a new life begins. We're on the journey, but we're

not alone. We walk with Him, we talk with him, we rely

on him by his Jesus, whatever happens, we are never alone. God

is with us. He said, I'll never leave you or forsake you,

or to paraphrase that, I'll never give up on you. I'll never desert

you. So however tough it gets in life, you never give up on

us and never desert us. O good it gets in life, can never

give up on us. You'll never desert us. It's the truth we really

need to know, especially the journey gets tough. In the king of God,

we run on God's track. Our lives are directed by the Holy Spirit,

who helps supply the principles of God's Kingdom. So today I want to

take a few moments to look at the principle or the kingdom principle of forgiveness.

How this can change lives, unlock situations, and set people free.

As I said earlier, there's a beginning. There's always been beginning, as

as the middle and as as an end on any journey. Yeah, and

on the journey of forgiveness. Before we can give forgiveness, we need to

receive forgiveness. You can't give where you haven't gone. It's that simple.

We're not that good. Paul write into the church in Colossa said in two

Colossians thirteen and verse fourteen. And you being dead in your trespass and the

uncircumcision of your flesh, he has made a live together with him, having

forgiven you all trespass, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements against us,

which is construe to us, he has taken it out of the way,

having nailed it to the cross. So we were separated from God by sin.

He died, he rose again while we're here today. The Bible says,

he who knew no sin became sin for us. When we receiving to

our hearts, we turn from our sin and were forgiven. This means more

to something just to others, like any gateway you go through. But the

fact remains that when you're born again, your sins are forgiven. They put

away. What's in the past is in the past. Then we go forward

too. Corinthians five seventeen is are very reliar scripture which I think will pop

on the screen. There is there. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ

is a new creation. All things have passed away. Behold, all things

have become you. All things have passed away, all all the things become

you. That's a fact. That's God's truth. It's also a fact.

We need to remember that. So mustn't dwell on the past. I must

focus on the future. I've met many people who dwell on the past,

past mistakes, past misdemeanors. I remember one person who name, and they

had a conversation with God and he went on the lines I've messed up an't

i And I said to him, what are you talking about? He said,

well, you know yesterday, as I said to him, didn't repent

of that sing? He said yes, he said, look John, and

that's when you repent of it. When I found out about it. It's

in the sere forgetfulness now. So let's move on. It's gone, it's

finished. It is finished our years londo crost. He said, it is

finished. We need to remember that if you make a mistake, we repent.

I move forward. We don't carry a big sack of the past with

us when we enter into the Kingdom of God. We'll leave it at the

door and we go forward. The Bible says, here the sun sets free.

He's free indeed, And to me, free is free. It's not

free with some conditions. Hyah. So we start again. It's a new

chapter. There is no condemnation. John eight thirty six. Ripus quoted the

other sunsets free is free indeed. So we need to receive God's forgiveness.

If all can give God's forgiveness. Once we receive God's forgiveness, receive God

into our heart in a position to give. But you can't give where we

haven't got and we need we need the power of God in our lives to

be able to give give forgiveness to people m and once to receive his forgiveness.

We are if you like agents a forgiveness, we're qualified to give forgiveness.

Forgiveness is God's love in action. It's not a man made for me.

I gets you and go to the bookstore and buy a book about how

to forgive some today. And there's so many books. I could ran my

own book and probably earn the mint. But that's not how it is.

Forgiveness is God's love in action. It's God expressing his love through us to

other people. One John four sixteen says God is love, and he who

abides in love abides in God and God in him. So God is love,

and he who lives in God, that lives in Love, sorry,

lives in God and God lives in him. So there's a union and a

communion there where when God's in your heart, when god Love is flowing through

you, when you have that relationship with God, you can flow with Him.

And it's easy to be an agent of forgiveness. It's easy to forgive

somebody because God has forgiven us. And let's face it from somebody cutting upon

the road on the way here, or somebody speaking nasty about you, or

or anything of that nature. It takes guts to forgive, but it takes

the Holy Spirit to help us do that, because it takes a quality decision

to say I forgive you, and then the love of God will flow through

you. Faith it's a fact. But faithors and artematical faith into action in

the Kingdom of God's another principle of the Kingdom about God which we want to

touch on today. Because I haven't got the time to do that. So

we give forgiveness, do it with the help of the Holy Spirth. It's

not the work of a man. When we enter the Kingdom of God.

We surrendered our lives to him. That's all our lives. The word all

means everything, not this everything, but this bit here. Jess didn't die

for one of our sins or two of our sins. When they nailed into

that cross. The nails were probably about a good inch or twenty five millimeters

in size through his hands and thro his feeing through his and then they put

spear in his side. So he just gave one hundred percent. So when

we to the kings of God, we give one hundred percent. We surrender

all our lives to him, and we empty ourself of self so that He

can fill us with himself. For those who are listening later, I have

a water bottle and it's half full. So once it's empty, I can

read phill it. It was not empty. I can't feel it. This

represented our life. It's got our lives got to be empty of self,

and then God will fill it with himself, with this Holy spirit. If

isn't empty yourself, you can't feel it with God. Then when you squeeze

it. If I have to squeeze at Matthew, he gets wet because I've

got some wah in him. It's like that only gets squeezed by the circumstance

of life. One needs to come out in God's love, the characteristics of

God, not self. Since says something back bat As, we shouldn't be

punching them in the nose. We should be walking in God's love. We

should be walking in forgiveness. But to do that we've got to be empty

of self then full of God. Then as we journey, we can be

agents and forgiveness. I've talked earlierbout having the journey about mapping out your route

in life, hig what you're gonna do, what's gonna happen, and something

that that journey can happen. But on that journey there there's some tough bits

there, some habits, some good bits as well. Not always a as

tough as it can be, but there's some good bits and habits. And

we've got to flow with the holy baits and be agents of forgiveness. We

can freely forgive because we've been forgiven. This will cost us. It's not

cheap because she died yourself, You died to your own thoughts. You've got

to lay anger aside, and you got to walk in love. But you

do that when you voked of the whole dispirit, not full of yourself,

and when we're full of Him, full of his love, that's when the

forgiveness will flow. Jesus set his mind when he went to the cross.

He knew what was going to do, he knew what's going to happen to

him. And we must set our mind daily to forgive, to walk in

forgiveness. He's liberating to the soul. That means us no bitterness, there's

no malice, there's no anger. It's all very toxic to a person if

they ever met anybody hasn't who has been walking in forgin us for years,

they can become very bitter and very twisted. That's why Jesus taught on this

subject because didn't want a body to be bitter or twisted. H. He

wants us to walk in love, be healthy, be a blessing for those

people around us. Because the end of the day, as a Christian,

the people you know are work or in the street or in the supermarket,

maybe the only Christians you're going to they're going to see. So you need

to be a shining light. I need to be a shining light quite frankly.

So if it's not easy, but we've got all things are possible.

Hm. It's about living a surrendered life again, where you're empty of self

and full of God. So so let's talk about not taking offense, shall

we. That's probably the one of the key strategies that we have to deal

with, is not to take offense. And some distressing thing to you or

you hear about something which may affect you, may affect your reputation. How

do we react? Because knows immune to the challenges of life, knows immune

to bump to the people who hurt. Often hurting people who have been hurt

hurt because that's their vote. It's not they're being bad people. It's just

that when people are being hurt, they walk with a limb and it's not

full of God. When you squeeze them, what's going to come out is

not the love of God. It's going to be there's circumstances and situations in

life. It's the key things when you meet those sort of guys or girls

is to walk in God's lab allowed the hospital to flow through. It's not

about what I can do, it's what he can do. I remember a

story. Yeah, I guess, I guess. The analogy I want to

share is that when you stub your toe, it really hurts. I remember

stupping my toe on the door jam into our lounge and it went purple and

I was jumped up and down for a little while. Who or worse that

effect? And I think I soaked it in some water, and you know,

I went to work. I think for about two or three weeks I

had to wear since we sort of shoes because I have my foot went purple.

I've worked on the site at the time, so it's very hard to

walk. And it can be like that when you've when you come across to

somebody who was walking in n forgiveness or in the only situation it felt like

it's like you stubbed your toe, and it can very uncomfortable, and you've

got a choice to make. You can put your foot down and start to

walk again, which could be uncomfortable, but eventually it's okay because of you

as a believer. You know, we're a psychotomy, spirit, soul and

body. So this flesh thing is my earth suit. I have a spirit,

so so my spirit is where I connect with God through my solo clife.

So if I hurt my body, it just hurt to my body and

I've just got to get on with it. Because I said, spiritual speaking,

if you've been hurt, it's like putting your foot down and keep going.

You forgive and you move forward. Feelings will change. I'm not going

to base my feelings. Well, I'm not going to base my sins on

feelings and based my sins on the word of God. The Word of God,

which is is my Bible today because it's in my phone. The Word

of God is correct. It's truth, as one man said, Rather the

word of God says I am, Whether the word of God says I can

do, I can do, And that's what we do. That's how we

live our lives. So you stub your toe spiritually speaking, because somebody cut

you up, it was nasty to you, or somebody was really really unpleasant

to you. You forgive, which is an act. If you will,

I forgive as you just given me. I forgive you when you move on.

But the first couple of steps can be quite uncomfortable. When you see

that person again, it might be oh, I see that you curry,

keep on going. It took me two weeks of my foot to go from

orange and orange but black blue purple back to the normal color. It takes

time, but you walk through it. It's you know, it's there's a

challenges things we're talking about here, But you know, I don't We don't

come here to wrap ever thin cotton. Will come here to talk about life.

Jeers gave the ability to overcome, to be an overcomer. As we

talk about these principles and wash free. This series is about looking at what

we can do, what he wants us to do to move forward. So

if somebody offends you, ask somebody hurts you, forgive them and put your

foot down. You might be limping for a few days. It might be

tough for a few days, and then we will move on. God's love

will flow through you. God will cover it. As far as nothing to

say is, don't have a moment of canality. Don't revert to full of

self rather than full of God. And when he tries to say something,

shouldn't be saying to you, learn other analogy. Don't blow yourself and shoot

your mouth off. Because words are containers. They carry power. There's power

in the life of the tongue and the power of death, of life in

the tone. That's probably eighteen twenty one. It's not on the screen,

but that's what it is. Your words are containers. They carry power.

God said, let there be light, and there was light, or Hebrew's

light be light was we are creating God with When you're a Christian, when

you're going again, you went to the Kingdom of God, went to God's

kingdom. We operate how God operates. That's why we have Kingdom principles.

God operates by speaking the word. His words do not return to evoid.

Neither our words return to himvoid. You know, you're not just a hey

and whoever I am. When you went to the Kingdom of God, you

move from the Kingdom of darts and the Kingdom of Light. You're a different

person. There's different way of operating. So maybe your words to carry power.

So use your words correctly. Don't have a moment of canality and flow

off. Stay in the spirit, full of Him, not full of ourselves.

Now that's living the surrendered life. I'm reminded of Matthew eighteen. I

think I've heard put this good shop there any When Peter speaks to Jesus,

he says, she's how many times shall I forgive my brother? I think

Peter suggests seven times. Now, back in the day, the rabbis would

each three times, you know, a good amount of time to forgive.

Someday, give somebody three times. You're doing well, you know, shining,

you shine your hat, You're good, you know. So Peter's thinking

he's been really cool by saying okay, three times, okay, all right,

for seven times. Jesus response is interesting, he said seventy times seven

times. It's just borne from nineteen ten. The bottom line is that you

keep on going, Peter, there's not a time on this. You keep

on doing it. Think how many times God has to forgive us on a

daily basis for the things that we do. We need God every day work

in our lives to forgive. So that's walk in forgiveness and not take offense.

One of my favorite scriptures I suppose is Regulations to twenty, which says,

I've been crucified with Christ. It's no longer I who live, but

Christ lives in me, and the life I now live in the flesh.

I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave himself

for me. I've been crucified with Christ. It's no longer I who live.

I'm dead to sell, but Christ lives in me. It's my body,

but it's his life. It's my body that it's his life. His

life flows through me. He puts me on like a glove, you know,

you put you in nowadays, well with COVID in the past we had

all this. The cost of these rubber gloves went up in me. I

mean, we have a friend here to and I wentures neighbor obviously, and

it's professionally well have to wear these those sort of glooves. Put the glove

onder your hands inside that glove. It's like Jesus puts it on like a

glove. Our body is dead, that glove is lifeless. And to put

Jesus lifeless into that glove, and that the lifeless into that and hands into

that glove. And that's why Jesus taking our body which is dead, putting

it, put his life in it. And then it will like going as

that hand moves. There's life in it. We shouldn't be dead like that

glove. But those rubbiloods of latest loves, and his life flows through us.

So it's my body, but it's his life. We need to be

so surrendered, dead to self. But when his life flows to us,

we reach out to each other people's lives to flow with God's love, with

God's forgiveness. We need to daily empty ourselves of self and fulfilled to have

flown with him. It's about living the abundant life. John ten Ten says

the thief. The thief comes not but for steal, to kill and to

destroy. Speaking of the devil, I have come that you might have life,

life to the full till it overflows, Life to the full, til

it overflows but take my bottle analogy again, and I haven't do this today,

but if works for me, this bottle has got four hundred out of

seven hundred in it. If I keep pointing up on the water in and

get to seven hundred, it's gonna keep going. It's gonna keep going and

keep going. It's gonna overflow, and I'm gonna get wet. My AM's

gonna get wet because this of the water are gonna go. There's only so

big of a container put the water in. God wants us to live an

abundant life where it was so full of Him that we start to overflow those

people around us. So if you like, they get wet, they get

wet with God's love, they receive forgiveness. Yes, say thing to us,

and we say, that's okay, I forgive it. Some people can't

handle that. They just they can'tunderstand it. Why would you forgive me?

That's so nasty to you. But you have to explain them possible. And

that's a bridge. Shea'd rather build a bridge than burn the bridge with people.

It's easy to cut somebody off, blow them out, that's the self

response. But when we're full of him, his response is to build a

bridge, not to burn the bridge. It's my body where it's his life.

That's where he wants us to be, so that we can be agents

of forgiveness. And there's a journey to get there. We don't just don't

click your fingers, spin round and you're there. God's got to work in

your life to bring it to that point. Anything that's worth anything takes time.

God gets us and in shapes us and your molds us. Remember the

analogy I think it's in the Bible about the potter and the clay in Jeremiah

where he gets his love play slaps on the wheel and starts molding it,

and it starts shaping it into a pot. And that molding and shaping it

into a pot. Down the pot's molding and shaped, They fire it,

blaze it. That's like others with our lives. He shapes us and molders.

He puts in the fire, It puts it on the shelf, and

we sit before users. Then the battle talks about having this treasure in earth

and vessels, but we are the earth and vessels and the treasure. And

it's like it's the process we go through to get where we need to be

it's not it's not a pleasant process, suppers. We all we all go

through when you surrender your life. When you sign up, that's what you

sign up for. Yahka hm mhm h h sir. In summary, we

need we need to be receiving forgiveness now we are free. Before we can

give forgiveness or be an agent of forgiveness, must know that we must learn

not to take offense, hold a grudge, have a moment of canality so

we can apply the principle of forgiveness in our lives. So before we wrap

this, let's just take a moment to reflect on what we what we said,

and let's ask the Holy Spirit if want to speak to us. Maybe

something doesn't Maybe you want to do business with God today, and let's put

it that way. May you want to have a child about something and say,

actually, this has been on my mind. Haven't forgiven so and so?

Or I'm in a situation that I need forgiveness, So I don't want

to rush the reverer. Just give us a commu the whole bit to to

speak to us. And now I pray and then we're rut in the meeting.

Okay, Well, let's speak with are welcome. You know. I

speak to the people in this room, Lord, the people listening online now

and the people listening later. If you speak to our hearts, to show

us anything that in our lives which we need to either receive forgiveness or give

forgiveness for where we've taken offense or all the grudges. Please show us what

we need to release so we can walk free. We can be free from

the things which aren't healthy. Please part of me speak to ours the name

of Jesus. We welcome the hospee. We speak to ours. M m.

So I'm trusting that God, even to God, and you've been speaking

to you. I'll pray, I'll pray, prayer. Another hand back over

to Nikki. H Well, Jesus, we thank you for your death,

thank you for your resurrection. Well, thank you through that death and that

resurrection. We are forgiven. But as if you make a mistake, if

you will, we can be forgiven one job, one night. As if

you know, if wevent your sins, He's faithful. Just give us our

sins intoens and other righteousness. Mhm. But we make a mistake mhm.

Some people in a listening a line men have made even know Jesus. Jesus

died and rose again for you. You surrend your life to him, ask

him to come into your heart and turn from your past. Has seem to

fill you with the Holy Spirit's as simple as that. To just take my

life, use my life, make my life what you want it to be.

Please, minister Lot to the hearts of the people in this room listening

online. This in later about forgiveness, how to walk in forgiveness, how

to receive forgiveness, how to give forgiveness. Sickn be free if you say,

in your word, Lord hear the sun sets freeze free indeed, and

that's where we need to be. We need to occupy that space of freedom.
