  1. Church. I'm a governing elder there and I operate out of there. We've

  2. been there twenty two years, almost twenty three years, and before that I

  3. passed her down in the state of Florida, I planted a church in the

  4. early nineties. Before that, I was at a church in Tampa, Florida

  5. under one of my greatest mentors, doctor David blogn who's also been here.

  6. Keith who he mentioned and Dave were kind of cohorts in prophetic ministry, and

  7. so I trained under them, traveled with them, came to England with them.

  8. They're both in heaven now. So guess what, I'm still carrying some

  9. of their work. I have to get the work done. It's a real

  10. privilege. So yeah, we have four children. We've been married forty years,

  11. coming up on forty one. Four children, adult children. We have

  12. five grandchildren and our youngest son is getting married in May. So there's hope

  13. for more grandchildren still and keep it going. Scraped me with David Juliet as

  14. always in the RCF family, who have come to know and love. So

  15. this is exciting. So I you know, it's a prophetic weekend right,

  16. which means we have license to do whatever we want and just blame it on

  17. God. I just felt prophet like, Dave, well, I feel like

  18. we need to do this. I'm like, yes, it's like so we

  19. kind of have rules, but we kind of can slide around. And I

  20. wanted to do something this morning because of what's kind of on God's agenda.

  21. Man, there's a lot going on in the spirit. Last fall a friend

  22. of mine and I think, Dave, you know Jim Lafun right, Yeah,

  23. yeah, Jim Lafoun is a prophet from America, but he came up

  24. under our family of churches in North Carolina. But now and Jim works with

  25. another major network called Every Nation. Jim travels a lot, and he's he's

  26. a little bit older than I am, but very well known in America and

  27. around the world. But God gave him a very powerful world or a powerful

  28. vision for some things happening in the world. And the context he gave it

  29. in was for the United States, but I believe it's got a global impact

  30. that's coming. I just want to read it. A couple of highlights of

  31. the word that God gave him, and it was about revival and the way

  32. he put he says the Holy Spirit focused my eyes on the feet of Jesus.

  33. He said they were very dusty. As I pondered this vision, I

  34. realized we were in danger of the God had shaking the dust of our nation

  35. off of America's ongoing rejection of the Gospel. And we are guilty of that.

  36. I mean, and I'm sure you sense over here in Britain. We

  37. sense it in other parts of the world where people are just really don't want

  38. anything to do with God, you know, just shaking off the Gospel.

  39. And I asked Jesus, when will this revival begin? And he said,

  40. the first drops are already falling. This is last this is the fall of

  41. twenty twenty two. And suddenly an unusually large rain drop fell from heaven right

  42. next to Jesus's dusty feet, and much to my amazement, it did not

  43. evaporate immediately. It glistened in the burning sunshine. It actually created a dome

  44. like canopy over the hot, parched ground. Then Jesus spoke to me again

  45. and said, tell my church to create cisterns, spiritual water storage systems to

  46. track the first drops of revival rain. These words, luckily, with an

  47. unusual sense of urgency, I realized watch. We had to create fresh space

  48. in our churches for the Holy Spirit to move in touch lives. Dave just

  49. actually said that he didn't know I was going to read this. You,

  50. Dave say that we have to make space. We have to make space for

  51. the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit impressed upon me that without these first drops,

  52. our people would not have the spiritual strength they need in order to press

  53. in for the fullness of the outpouring which would come soon. As this vision

  54. was coming to an end, the Holy Spirit spoke to these words to me

  55. repeatedly. It's not business as usual, business as usual. It's not business

  56. as usual. And there's many other things. I'll send this today. Maybe

  57. you can can share it and elaborate more. But there's something happening. Two

  58. and a half weeks ago. There's a Asbury University in America had their normal

  59. Wednesday morning chapel and when it was so students wanted to linger and stay.

  60. And maybe you've heard about it, maybe it's been on the internet over here,

  61. but launch story short, it was an ongoing prayer meeting for two weeks

  62. twenty four to seven. People began to come from all over America. People

  63. even came from the UK and other nations to come and see. At one

  64. point they closed the streets to the city because over one hundred thousand people come

  65. to a town of six thousand, and they said, we can't. We

  66. don't have room for any more people talking about making room for God. It's

  67. interesting. Our pastor coming into the new year, felt like God said.

  68. We started out the year with twenty one days of prayer and fasting, and

  69. we had live prayer meetings every morning at seven am at our church Monday through

  70. Saturday, and we had the greatest turnout we've ever had. We had seventy

  71. or eighty people live in the room, sometimes up to one hundred, and

  72. then double that online. We had a lot of young people coming, a

  73. lot of young people, and something was happening. And we started a series

  74. in our church and we called it Make Room for God, and we opened

  75. up our altars on Sunday mornings. We've always had prayer, but we really

  76. there was such a move of God that people were staying after church and coming

  77. up for prayer like we've never seen such a move of God. People coming

  78. for prayer. There's a hunger going on in these campuses, and now there's

  79. other campuses breaking out. Would you call it revival? I don't know.

  80. They're calling it all kinds of things. I like the word of waiting.

  81. There's an awakening, and I think it's the one thing we keep hearing is

  82. there's hunger. There's a hunger. Why we're not satisfied. We tried everything,

  83. We binged on Netflix, We've tried this, we've tried that. Right,

  84. we were all locked down for you know, in COVID. But there's

  85. this unrest, but a hunger for God. And so that's kind of what

  86. we're being launching into here is I want to challenge you from what Pastor Dave

  87. said too, let's make room this morning, let's make room for God.

  88. And to launch that, I'm actually going to be talking about the prophet of

  89. Elisha and how there's a woman, the Shunamite woman made room for him,

  90. made room for the prophetic. We said, the prophetic, but which just

  91. means the voice of God. There's all kinds of voices out there. First

  92. Corinthians fourteen eleven. Paul was teaching the Corinthian Church. He said, there's

  93. many voices out there, and I don't think I don't think he had the

  94. internet in mind back then when he wrote it. But if Paul could see

  95. the Internet, he'd say, yep, I was right. There's many voices

  96. out there, more than ever. We have voices twenty four to seven.

  97. And he says none is in the Greek, it's a double negative. He

  98. says none is without signification. In the Greek it would say literally and none

  99. of them are a non voice. In other words, they all have something

  100. to say. They all think they're significant. So whether it's an advertising slogan

  101. or the news feed or whatever you're listening to, there's voices out there.

  102. There's a lot of voices. We need to make room for the voice of

  103. God. And so let's pray that way. Let's just say God, I

  104. want to make room for you. Father. We come and there's no buttons

  105. to push, there's no abricadabras or we just say in our hearts, God,

  106. we want to make room for you. Speak to us, meet us.

  107. We're hungry, we're not satisfied. But the world has to give.

  108. So God give us what only you can give, your presence, your voice.

  109. You can hear the voice of God. Amen, you can hear him.

  110. You're gonna hear him today. Let me know that when God created the

  111. first man Genesis one. The first thing God did when he created man was

  112. talk to him. He made him, and then he said, and the

  113. Lord said, we stopped there because well, what did he says? That's

  114. secondary. What's primary is God made man and the first thing he ever did

  115. was talk to him, which means the first requirement of man was to hear

  116. the voice of God, not be a Christian. He didn't make mena say

  117. now you need to be a Christian and behave No. He made man and

  118. then began to speak into his creation. That's who we are. So let's

  119. go to Second King's chapter four. We're going to be in Second Kings in

  120. several different chapters and uh, there's a lot of ways to describe this scenario.

  121. I think, big picture, I want to call it residing faith for

  122. the supernatural church. The church has to maintain the status of we are a

  123. supernatural church. We're a church, but there's something about the church that's supposed

  124. to be supernatural. Natural. You can have natural gatherings, all kinds of

  125. natural gatherings. You can be in a club, you can have an organization,

  126. you can have sporting clubs. There's always to gather people. But we're

  127. a gathering of God's people, where the ecclesia the Greek word the called out

  128. ones. And so we need a residing faith to be the supernatural people God

  129. called us to be. So in Second King's chapter four, we're gonna pick

  130. up this story in verse eight about this Shunamite woman. I want to suggest

  131. to you, using metaphors now and looking for symbolism here, that the Shunamite

  132. woman represents the needy church, the hungry, needy church. Look at yourself

  133. today as the Shunamite woman. I need something from God. I want something.

  134. So one day Elisha, who represents is the prophet, but he also

  135. represents the voice of God, hearing from God. Elisha went on to shun

  136. Him, where a wealthy woman lived who urged him to eat some food.

  137. It's the problem of traveling, ministry, Dave. Everywhere I go people want

  138. me to eat food. So anyway, it's your last name. It's terrible.

  139. You guys do it really well. So whenever he passed that way,

  140. he would turn in there to eat food. And she said to her husband,

  141. behold now I know that this is a holy man of God who's continually

  142. passing our way. Let us make a small room on the roof with walls,

  143. and put there for him a bed, a table, a chair,

  144. and a lamp, so that whenever he comes to us he can go there.

  145. I call this building the Prophet's chamber, in other words, building something

  146. that can contain not only a person, but the voice of God, someone

  147. that represents the voice of God. And now it's not just I'm not talking

  148. about a physical room. I'm talking about the chamber of your heart. I

  149. know your heart is the chamber of your faith. It's where you say,

  150. if I said right now, where would you locate your faith? You say,

  151. well, my left foot. No, it's like in my body.

  152. I is it in my head? Is it in my arm? Like it's

  153. in your heart? Why, well, you become a Christian by believing in

  154. your heart Romans ten right, How do you say, believe in your heart

  155. and confess with your mouth. So that means the heart is the chamber of

  156. faith. That's where God puts faith. God gives you faith, and your

  157. mouth is the organ of your faith. How do you know if someone has

  158. faith? Listen to him talk, Listen to the way they talk. Are

  159. they filled with faith or fear. It can be both. So faith resides

  160. in the chambers of our heart. And so what we want to do today

  161. is help all of us build what I would call the prophet's chamber in our

  162. heart. You could actually, you know, you can't just build it on

  163. a building. Say there, we've built a We've built a prophet's chamber out

  164. back here. We want to build it inside. But there's some principles here

  165. that we can understand. And it starts out with relationship has to be relational.

  166. Back to verse eight. One day Elisha went on to shoot him where

  167. a wealthy woman lived who urged him to eat some food. That's relationship.

  168. Hey, let's have a meal, let's have a coffee, let's get together.

  169. God build relationship. And that's true of all nations. I've been just

  170. blessed to be in over forty eight different nations over my time of ministry.

  171. And everywhere you go, whether it's Asia, Africa, wherever you go,

  172. you create relationship with a meal. We're probably going to have food today,

  173. right, mister food or we gonna have food, okay, missus. Food

  174. are going to make sure we have some food because it's part of how we

  175. build relationship. We have a joke saying, you know what, there's no

  176. food. It's not actually an official Christian gathering because Christians have to eat something,

  177. but we do. And every culture in the world is built around food,

  178. right, So eating bread urged him to eat some food. Whenever he

  179. passed that way, he would turn in there to eat food. So there's

  180. this idea of building relationship. And it says, and she said to her

  181. husband, behold, now I know that this man is a holy man of

  182. God. Perception something about when you start building relationship, you get to know

  183. not only the person, you get to know what their spiritual status is.

  184. I perceive something about this guy's holy It's like I don't know, well,

  185. he hasn't cossed yet, he hasn't done any cussing, and he talks about

  186. God. And so there's this perception that comes. I perceive the sky is

  187. a holy man of God who's continually passing our way. So let's do something.

  188. Then you want to do something, so let's make a room for him.

  189. So this whole. So then there's the idea of reception. Once you

  190. sit and have food with somebody and you begin to perceive who they are,

  191. you get to know them. Sometimes you want to make a connection, and

  192. so there's this idea of let's make it inspires building, and I think that's

  193. in the body of Christ whenever we get together. God is a builder.

  194. God likes to build stuff. He builds people, that's his best work.

  195. And then he inspires people to build stuff. And we've been building stuff ever

  196. since the beginning, all the way back to Genesis. I'm reading a book

  197. right now. It's been fascinating. It's called God Technology in the Christian Life.

  198. And you look back on how God has given man the ability to create

  199. technology for himself, and it goes all the way back to the beginning,

  200. and early technology was building building stuff. First of all, they made tools.

  201. Goes back. You know they they've just made tools out of metal.

  202. You know, they formed tools. And here's Noah got a job to build

  203. a boat that had never seen before. There was no Google, you couldn't

  204. google it, say how do I build a boat? And the technology just

  205. in the ark. You know, the greatest technology of the arc was not

  206. the wood. It was the pitch. Not the pitch to seal the boat.

  207. It would have never made it, it would have sank. So I

  208. mean, you look back and say, God just gave men amazing ability to

  209. build stuff. So she says, let's build something. So the profits profits

  210. were inspire building. They inspire how to build lives, build people. So

  211. a prophetic word like all bright and see, God was at work already,

  212. first thing this morning, building somebody up. Dave got up and said,

  213. I feel like somebody's here and you need to hear this. What was that

  214. inspired? Building? Somebody's life needs to be built. Let's jump ahead into

  215. the New Testament. The theme of building is throughout all of the New Testament,

  216. but particularly when it comes to the gifts of the spirit. When it

  217. comes to the work of fivefold ministry is to equip the saints, equip them.

  218. We know that Ephesians four right eleven God gave apostles, prophet and advantage

  219. of pastory teacher four verse twelve the equipping of the saints, and the word

  220. equipping is is a word. It's a compound word that has to do with

  221. crafting toft like through the work of a craftsman. So basically fivefold ministers are

  222. craftsman. Kat Artismus is the word and the root Where are artismus is where

  223. we get the word artisan, so kata to artismus kata is a prefix that

  224. when you put it on there, it kind of says a standard. It's

  225. a standard by which you hold something to. So fivefold ministers have a standard

  226. on how to build people. They build them according to the standard or to

  227. the book. Right, here's our standard for building people's lives. Right,

  228. it's all in the book. And so we build in craft lives according to

  229. God's standards for marriage, life, family, morality. And the beautiful thing

  230. is we build with words. Our tools are our words. That's why we

  231. preach sermons, That's why we teach in small groups. That's why we hand

  232. you out endless amounts of paper and websites because they're full of words, right,

  233. And those words are what shape us and change us. So when a

  234. prophet speaks, he's shaping your life. When a pastor preaches, he's shaping

  235. your life. He's crafting you with his words. So building is in the

  236. heart of God. There's still a how many know there's a new Jerusalem coming.

  237. The plans are already in heaven. It's great architecture. It's done.

  238. There's a new Heaven, a new Earth. Y'all look at me like really,

  239. it's like it's gonna be good. Folks. You look around and say,

  240. this isn't it. Thank God, this just isn't it. This is

  241. like practice. Some of you smiling now. I like to see the smiles

  242. on your face. Say yeah, that's right. This isn't all. There

  243. is no not business as usual as the problem. My prophet friend Jim said,

  244. there's new things coming. So here the prophetic presence inspires building. Let

  245. us build something. Let us make a small room. And what we're gonna

  246. do is we're gonna put a bed in there, table, in a chair,

  247. in a lamp. Interesting, I like that. What does that mean?

  248. Well, you know, you got some ideas, but I like I

  249. like beds in bed like beds. I sleep in a lot of beds in

  250. any given year. I haven't met a bed. I haven't gotten in love

  251. with you know, I just love I love you. I'm so tired.

  252. I've never met you before. But here I come. All over the world.

  253. Rest building. Part of the presence of God has to do with how

  254. we rest. Very important concept we think, you know, serving God and

  255. being busy for God is so important to God. And I'm impressing God.

  256. And here's my list of things I got done for God today and everything,

  257. and oh, I can't do anything more for God because I'm exhausted. So

  258. I'm just going to rest and God goes finally good rest. Rest is important

  259. to God. God rested, He set the example right, He worked six

  260. days and then he rested, because it's very important to God. How we

  261. rest without your phone on? I'm guilty, guilty, it's right next to

  262. my bed. Where's my phone? We're just terrible, So I'm telling you

  263. myself. A few weeks ago, I went to a retreat in Florida.

  264. Some guys that I've mentored and everything. They invited me to retreat and I

  265. thought I was going to be ministering there until towards the end I got the

  266. revelation I'm not ministering. I'm going to receive. I was like, there's

  267. only twelve of us. Great retreat it's called a Centurion's retreat, and you

  268. deal with scripture and your identity in Christ, and there's a lot. There's

  269. exercises, and there's sharing time, and there's prayers. It was really good,

  270. and I had to switch off my ministry brain and get into receiving mode,

  271. and it was hard at first, but after a while, I just

  272. so I had this forced quiet time. That sounds good, forced quiet time.

  273. So here's what. So this started on a Thursday afternoon and that was

  274. great. Friday was great. We had sessions. I had notes Saturday morning.

  275. Friday night. We finish after dinner and they go, so tomorrow,

  276. they're like, tomorrow's our last day. Now we're gonna start at seven am.

  277. You all need to be in the room at seven am. And tomorrow

  278. we're having a monastic fast. We are. I didn't see that on the

  279. he goes, No, it's not on the schedule. You'll start at seven

  280. am. It'll be fasting all day and it's a monastic fast, which means

  281. you'll also be not talking to anybody all day. So there's no talking and

  282. no eating all day. We've got water and some juice. I mean,

  283. they had stuff and cakes. What am I gonna do all day? You're

  284. gonna talk with God. We're gonna be with God. And we had some

  285. scriptural assignments and everything. We actually had some exercise isis and it started at

  286. seven. I was done with all my exercises at eight thirty. Now what

  287. I'm like, I'm filling out everything and so, and one of the things

  288. was, what's the Holy Spirit saying to you right now? I'm a theologian.

  289. I could come up with a lot of great stuff, right but guess

  290. what he said? Rest. It's so clear, like, what are you

  291. saying to me? What's this retreat all about? I'm a busy guy,

  292. Okay. I did all these asignments. What are you saying to me?

  293. And I just wows And I put it in big capital letters on my notes

  294. there rest, And then I had to say, I don't know how.

  295. I really I came to the I don't really know how. Here's the other

  296. funny thing is we started a series in our church after the first year on

  297. the twenty third song, and our theme is make room for God, and

  298. to do that, we went through the twenty third Psalm six weeks. There's

  299. six verses. You know, you can create on one verse of the twenty

  300. three song that'll preach and we took it apart, and so I started traveling

  301. pretty heavy. But the last Sunday that I was actually in our church,

  302. the verse that they were speaking on was he leaves me beside the still waters.

  303. It restores my soul. And I'm sitting there listening and they're talking about

  304. rest and everything. I kind of look over at my wife and I go,

  305. I don't rest. I don't rest very well. Almost like a I

  306. was almost prideful, but I was I was being honest, like I don't

  307. I don't really rest very well. I'd like to be busy for God.

  308. And then I go on this retreat and surprise Paris, what are we gonna

  309. do all weekend? You're gonna learn to rest? And I said, all

  310. that, because you know, resting in God is how you prepare to hear

  311. from him. If we're gonna make room for God, how you have to

  312. build that profit's chamber you have to build. Make sure you put a bed

  313. in there. Make sure you have a spiritual bed where you can rest.

  314. So she said, let us put in there for him a bed and a

  315. table in a chair. I think also, if you're going to make room

  316. for God, you got to make room for his word and a time to

  317. sit and fellowship with God around his word, table and chair, sitting reading

  318. the Word. You can study there. You can eat there. Of course,

  319. table and chair we got to eat. I mean, this is all

  320. making. We got to eat the word, sit, down at his table.

  321. And if you do that, if you rest, and if you sit

  322. at the table and fellowship with God and eat his word, guess what you

  323. get? The lights come on and put a lamp there for illumination. The

  324. lights will come on. There will be revelation as you meet with God.

  325. And as you do that, And you know, I don't know about you.

  326. You have to you have to make room for God. You have to

  327. make room and prepare and God will meet you. And I think the reward

  328. if we keep going in this little dissertation here, there's a reward when you

  329. make room for God. Because remember the shoe Tomite woman was represents us the

  330. needy church. We're needy. She was needy, yet she how did she

  331. get her needs met? She ministered to someone else. So verse eleven,

  332. and we'll pick up the story. One day he came there, and he

  333. turned into the chamber and he rested there. He got it, and he

  334. said to GHEs, his servant called this shoe Tomite. And when he called

  335. her, she stood before him. And he said to him, say now

  336. to her, See you've taken all this trouble for us. What is to

  337. be done for you? What do you need, give me needs. Oh,

  338. yes, we are people. We are a needy church. Would you

  339. have a word spoken on your behalf to the king or to the commander of

  340. the army. Great to know that we can have a word spoken to our

  341. king. That's called intercession, that's prayer. And she said, watch I

  342. dwell among my own people. And he said, well, what then is

  343. to be done for her? And hayes I answered, well, she has

  344. no son and her husband is old. And he said call her. And

  345. when he had called her, she stood in the doorway. There's a lot

  346. of symbolism even in that act. She stood in the doorway, and he

  347. said, at this season, about the time, about this time next year,

  348. you shall embrace a son. And she said, no, my lord,

  349. oh man of God, do not lie to your service like too good

  350. to be true. Sometimes God might speak to you and go, that can't

  351. be God, not the voice of God. Why it's too good to be

  352. true? That would be impossible, or that would be impossible. The very

  353. thing you're hungry for, God begins to meet you, and you go,

  354. God, what's that mean? No faith? See, that's why you got

  355. to make room for God, so that God can put faith in you,

  356. and faith comes by hearing. So see the very fact that he spoke,

  357. it began the process of imparting to her what she needed more than a son.

  358. She needed faith in God for a son having faith. Don't lie to

  359. your servant. Is this really true? Are you really saying this? And

  360. then we know the end of the story Verse seventeen. But the woman conceived

  361. she bore a son about that time the following spring. As Elisha had said

  362. to her, spoken, the spoken word brings faith. Faith comes by hearing,

  363. Romans ten seventeen. So that's the reward. So you have the relationship,

  364. you build a relationship. Out of relationship comes recognition and perception, and

  365. then the reception, receiving and building, causing you to build that relationship and

  366. build something. And then comes the reward. And that's a pattern we have

  367. with God. That's building the prophet's chamber, that's making room for God,

  368. making room for him. That's how we want to have a residing faith,

  369. not just on Sunday morning, but when we leave this room or wherever you

  370. fellowship, you leave the gathering with a residing faith for supernatural things to happen

  371. outside the church, outside the church meeting right, it's not how was the

  372. meeting? The question is what are you going to do when the meeting's over?

  373. How was the meeting Sunday? Well it was great? So now what

  374. what are you going to do now that the meeting is over? You just

  375. got imparted faith, you got a sermon preach to, you had prayer,

  376. You've been built up, you've been you've built up your chamber of faith?

  377. What are you going to do with it? Who are you going to minister

  378. to? So whenever there's an encounter with God like this and God gives you

  379. something, so he gave her a gift. The longing of her heart was

  380. what reproduce? That's see, that's what's really the longing of the church's heart

  381. should be what we want more children? What do you think is on God's

  382. heart? So there's been this outpouring at this university and it's young people,

  383. and I think God's saying, I want this next generation, I want more

  384. kids. God's God's hardest to reproduce the family. Back to Genesis, what

  385. what do you speak to the first humans? Be fruitful and multiply. That's

  386. never changed. God's never changed his desire. So he said to Noah,

  387. after he wiped out everybody else? Noah, what continue with what my plan?

  388. A? I know God does a new plan. B. God has

  389. had one plan from the beginning, create a Well, it's because God's lonely.

  390. No, he's not. God would have been fine without us. But

  391. you know what, God is love and the only way he could really express

  392. who he really is it was to create a family to show how much he

  393. loves. So here's this amazing continuation, and so let's read on. We

  394. look at this whole idea of residing faith for miracles. Go back to verse

  395. fourteen. What then is to be done for her? It's almost like a

  396. play on words. He's almost like playing because he knows there's a need.

  397. He's prophetic. He goes, she wants something. She's not just giving to

  398. get. She's actually she wants something. But out of her heart's desire,

  399. God put faith for miracles. And it was to break the band of barrenness.

  400. She was suffering under barrenness. And I really believe that, you know,

  401. God wants to break the bands of barrenness for every believer. We're called

  402. to reproduce, we're called to see people saved. You know what I don't

  403. know. I go through dry spells. Honestly, I'm not the greatest evangelist

  404. in the world. I work apostolically, I have a prophetic gift. I

  405. love teaching, and I've been a pastor and a shepherd evangelist. Not me.

  406. I almost disqualify myself or I say that people get saved by accident in

  407. meetings I have. It's not even what I'm thinking about. And yet there's

  408. times you know that God has to inspire me to share the Gospel with somebody,

  409. you know. And this whole thing about breaking spiritual barrenness in our life

  410. to reproduce more kids for God. And this is what happened. God broke

  411. the barrenness in the shoe to my woman, and God's going to break the

  412. barreness. And so yes, we want revival, and revival means to revive,

  413. to bring life where there's no life. So that's why I call it

  414. an awakening. A lot of people call the thing in Asbury Are an awakening

  415. because Christians are the ones that are getting together. They're already saved, but

  416. God has to reawaken the passion of the Gospel in them. He has to

  417. reawaken the grandeur of the great commission that why are you here on the planet

  418. Earth. I need to have a career. I get a job, and

  419. I have to make this much money, and I have to feed my retirement

  420. plan, and you know, I have to have this kind of a house

  421. and we have all of our things on why we think we're still here?

  422. You're here? Why? Because I want you to reproduce my family. That's

  423. why you're here. We're here to reproduce his family and build his family.

  424. God's a builder. What are we building? Well, I'm building a vacation

  425. home. No, what are we building for God? It goes back to

  426. the early early commandment, right, be fruitful, multiplied. We planted the

  427. earth, so breaks the band of barness. And here's here's the other thing

  428. that's amazing. Now we're going to go a little bit further into the story.

  429. Because the presence of God and residing faith in a Christian we become the

  430. supernatural church that does the ultimate. It brings life out of death. Do

  431. you realize you're an agent of life on this earth to bring people from death

  432. to life. There's dead people walking that lady, we don't know'sus. There's

  433. a bodies there's bodies walking by the window all morning long. How many are

  434. going to happen? Do you ever wonder? You ever get burdened for that?

  435. I need that. I want more of a burden to look at people

  436. and go, God really going. So here's as we say the rest of

  437. the story, verse eighteen. I'm just gonna read through it. I don't

  438. know if Dave has it all on scripture, but you probably know the story,

  439. but refreshed when the child had grown up. Now so that she asked

  440. this, She wanted a child, and God gave her supernaturally gave her a

  441. child. And when the child had grown, so who's an adult? He

  442. went out one day with his father among the reapers, and he said to

  443. his father, my head hurts. The father said, the servant carry him

  444. to his mother, And when he had lifted him, brought him to his

  445. mother. The child sat on her lap till noon and then died. So

  446. she went up and laid him on the bed of the Man of God.

  447. Oh interesting the resting place. She shut the door behind him and went out.

  448. And then she called to her husband and said, send me one of

  449. the servants and one of the donkeys, that I may go quickly to the

  450. Man of God and come back. Why, I've got a relationship. I

  451. know where to go when I'm in trouble. That's part of making room for

  452. God, because guess what, we'll all have trouble. Well, there's going

  453. to be a time you need to call on God. I'm in trouble,

  454. He said, why would you go with him today? She says, it's

  455. neither the new moonder of the Sabbath, And she said, well all is

  456. well? And I always stumble at that phrase. What do you call the

  457. Man of God for? What's what's the problem? Nothing? Your son just

  458. died and you're saying all is well. I have to believe that's faith in

  459. God. In other words, no matter what or is the old hymn says,

  460. it is well with my soul, when sorrows like sea billows, all

  461. is well? Really, all is well. Then she saddled the donkey,

  462. and she said to her servant, urged the animal on to not slacken the

  463. pace unless I tell you. So. She pedaled to the metal as we

  464. say, put it in fifth gear, and let's go. When the Man

  465. of God saw her coming, he said to Gahezi, look there's the shoot

  466. Tomite run at once to meet her and say to her, is all well

  467. with you? It is all well with your husband? Is all well with

  468. the child? And she answered, all is well? Again, I look

  469. at it and go, how can she say that, I'd be freaking out

  470. of mine song? All is well? Something inside of her was there.

  471. From that deposit there was residing faith for the supernatural in her wife. She

  472. built it. She had built a relationship with the Man of God. She

  473. administered to the Man of God. There was a recognition you're I perceive you're

  474. a holy man of God. There's something about you. And so I'm gonna

  475. make a chamber so that what you have I get, especially when I'm in

  476. trouble. I'm gonna ceasey to say I have faith until you have to use

  477. it. Right, Ye have faith, aye, aye, A lot of

  478. faith until crisis. So all is well. Really. And when she came

  479. to the mountain to the Man of God, she caught hold of his feet

  480. and gaze, I said, came to push her away, but the Man

  481. of God said, leave her alone. She's in bitter distress. And the

  482. Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me. But he perceived

  483. again prophetically, he said, she's in distress. Don't know why? How

  484. men know? God doesn't tell you everything. That should take a lot of

  485. pressure off here. Today I came to hear from God. Well, let

  486. me just tell you. You're gonna hear what God wants you to hear,

  487. not what you want to hear. God's just that's mercy. By the way,

  488. that's not God being mean. That's the mercy of God. I remember

  489. Prophi saying over a pastor's daughter a number of years ago. She was about

  490. fifteen sixteen, she was in that age. I was Prophis saying a number

  491. of things, and one point I said, you know, I see you

  492. going through kind of a dark and sad time. But God and I invented

  493. a word if you've never heard it before, I said, and God will

  494. be your worker outer. It just came to me that way. In other

  495. words, God's going to work it out. But it came out this way,

  496. God's going to be your worker outer. And so I was going,

  497. I can't believe I just said that, but that's how it came out,

  498. going to work it out. And then other things, you know, And

  499. so you think you're sixteen and you hear that phrase I see you going through

  500. a dark and sad time, but God's going to work it out. And

  501. you're think it's six you know, you're think sixteen. What's a six How

  502. does a sixteen year old process that at that time? Well, maybe she's

  503. going to break up with their boyfriend, she won't get to go to the

  504. prom, someone's going to unfriend her on Facebook, she'll lose her cell phone.

  505. Dark and sad time. You think, how does a sixteen year old

  506. process that phrase, amongst the other things God was saying. And she's had

  507. prophecy before, they had prophecy to their church before. Ten years later,

  508. I get an email. I'm in alask I'm actually in a last guy.

  509. I remember it so clearly. I'm in the last guy. I'll put my

  510. email. It's this girl. I don't know if you remember being immediately I

  511. knew who she was. I hadn't seen her in ten years. I'm so

  512. and so so and So's daughter and nahnahbah you prop said over me. And

  513. just so you know, I got married. He's now maybe twenty five pointy

  514. six. I got married. We had our first child. It was born

  515. with severe autism. Severe autism because it's like someone kidnaps your child, but

  516. the body they leave the body my son sits in the backyard and eats dirt.

  517. It has truly been the darkest and saddest time of my life. And

  518. those words that God spoke to me are the only thing that gives my husband

  519. and I any hope. When he said I will be your worker out we

  520. are clinging to that. It's the only thing that keeps us going wow wow.

  521. And you know, we think we hear a word from God and we

  522. think there's what else? God says, I'm hiding the rest from you?

  523. Is there anything else? I see you go through the darkness head time with

  524. what how? What's my dark and said time? God explained it to me?

  525. He goes, no, not no. I can imagine if God had

  526. given me three extra words on that prophecy. I see you going through a

  527. dark and sad time with your child. Three words more, God, I

  528. want more information? You want more? Okay, it's with your child.

  529. Huh, I'm going to go through a dark and said time with a child.

  530. What kind of how would those three words have affected her life? Maybe

  531. she would have never gotten married, or maybe she would have got married and

  532. said I don't want children. I just don't want him the kids. And

  533. yet God hid that from her because he wanted her to focus on I will

  534. be your worker out her. I'm I'm in charge, and I will work

  535. this out so bringing life out of death. Leave her alone. She's in

  536. bitter distress. The Lord has hidden it from me and has not told me.

  537. And then she said, did I ask my Lord for a son?

  538. Let us we heard a little history here. Didn't I ask you for a

  539. son? Did I not say? Do not deceive me? And he said

  540. to Gehesei, all right, tie up your garment and take my staff important

  541. authority in your hand, and go. And if you meet anyone, do

  542. not greet him. And if anyone greets you, don't reply. And lay

  543. my staff on the face of the child. His staff represented his authority,

  544. his position. Thy rod and thy staff comfort me, to bring comfort.

  545. Then the mother of the child said, as the Lord lives, and as

  546. you yourself live, I will not leave you. So he arose and followed

  547. her. Gehesi went on ahead, laid the staff on the face of the

  548. child. But there was no sound or sound or sign of life. It

  549. was just like comfort. I rod and thy staff. First of all,

  550. there's comfort that first comes. God has to comfort our soul. I'm not.

  551. You can't get in a place of receiving unless you get in a place

  552. of comfort. And God is our comforter. Guess what, ding ding,

  553. Ding, ding ding. Who's got the name comfort to her Holy Spirit?

  554. The Holy Spirit is our comforter. Why do you think that's his nickname?

  555. Because we need comfort. I'm a comfort creature. I don't know about you.

  556. I actually confess it to God all the time I get done praying,

  557. I go. And that was just for my own comfort. I admit it.

  558. God, I'm a comfort creature. I like comfort. God says,

  559. okay, I'm going to send you a comforter then, and he will guide

  560. you. So Jesus said. So when Gehese returned to meet him, he

  561. told the prophet, he said, the child has not awakened Verse thirty two.

  562. When Elisha came to the house, he saw the child lying dead on

  563. his bed. So he went in and he shut the door behind the two

  564. of them and prayed to the Lord. Then he went up and laid on

  565. the child. Impartation. There's there's something about the prophetic and impartation to impart

  566. means to make a deposit. And so we have we have a biblical technology

  567. that's given to us, not only here in the Old Testament, that actually

  568. carries into the New Testament what they call the laying on of hands. That's

  569. why that's one of the doctrines in Hebrew six. It talks about the doctrine,

  570. the doctrine, the teaching, and the practice of the laying on of

  571. hands. That's it's a spiritual technology. There's an impartation. God just invented

  572. that. God. God made that technology up and it's it's still alive today,

  573. the laying out of hands. That's why it says lay hands on no

  574. man suddenly, he's don't run around laying hands on anybody anywhere for any purpose.

  575. It's not it's not it's not abracadabra poof. It's something that God has

  576. to instill that we do. And he prodded Elisha to go and lay on

  577. the child. That's creepy. I just shut the door too, like I

  578. hope nobody's looking, because I'm gonna be about to do something that, you

  579. know, the politically correct people would not approve of. So he went up

  580. and laying the child, putting his mouth on his mouth, his eyes and

  581. his eyes, and his hands on his hands. It's all symbolic. And

  582. as he stretched himself upon him, the flesh of the child became warm.

  583. He got up again and walked once back and forth in the house, went

  584. up and stretched himself upon him. The child sneezed seven times, God bless

  585. you, and the child opened his eyes. And then he summoned Gehesa and

  586. said, call the Shoonamite. So he called her, and when she came

  587. to him, she said, he said, pick up your son. She

  588. came and fell at his feet, bowing to the ground. She picked up

  589. her son and went out. Wow, bringing life out of a death experience.

  590. You know, we all suffer different kinds of loss as part of life.

  591. We're gonna lose friends, We're gonna lose loved ones. As we say

  592. that I lost a loved one. It's part of life. But can I

  593. challenge you Christians, if you're a Christian, we we should have the best

  594. attitude, we should have the best language around death. Yes, we're sad,

  595. we comfort one another, but in the end, people hopeless, people

  596. need to know what you're hoping in. Yeah, this mortal life is so

  597. short. Bible actually calls it a breath. How long is your life there?

  598. I just describe your life breath vapor done compared to eternity. And we

  599. don't I don't think we talk about it well. We don't think about it

  600. well. And we need to have the same hope. That's our relationship with

  601. God, the ultimate relationship, the ultimate thing in this whole story is a

  602. relationship with God. Okay, that ends in bringing life out of death.

  603. Can I tell you something else? Kind of morbid but true? We're all

  604. going to die. Can I have a do I get a discount on what

  605. I paid for this thing? This is like not what I came for.

  606. And this guy come up here from America and tell me I'm gonna die.

  607. This is kind of getting dreary here. Well, we're gonna have coffee in

  608. just a minute. So no, guys, we have to really think about

  609. life and we want I work with churches. I love working with churches.

  610. I want churches to grow. Why as long as Heaven and Hell are a

  611. reality, we have to grow. We have to keep gathering people. We

  612. have to get the people around Egan. Why because Heaven and Hell are real,

  613. the more real than the room you're sitting in. It's an eternal reality

  614. that it's just too easy for Hollywood and Netflix and everything else to push and

  615. make it a fantasy. It's a reality. So we need to be able

  616. to talk about the greatest event ever to take place on Earth, and it's

  617. coming. Easter Sunday is coming. That's like you ought to be talking it

  618. up. You ought to be inviting your friends. If you're going to invite

  619. anybody to anything, They've done surveys and we all we know the two grades

  620. Christmas and Easter. But Easter is I think there's gonna be a new hunger

  621. this Easter. I just sense it. With all these revivals and things happening.

  622. Invite somebody to say, what do you do on Easter Sunday? You

  623. know what we're having? Just come come with me. I'll pick you up,

  624. God forbid. You might even say I'll buy you lunch. But you

  625. know, bribe them. I say, bribery is bad, No one isn't.

  626. I used to bribe my kids to memorized scripture. I pay them to

  627. memorize scripture. We pay for other stuff. Clean your room, here's a

  628. pound, you know, but memoried scripture here you go, it's like,

  629. you know what, I'm going to reward you. That's good work. Anyway,

  630. that was for somebody. Some parents just got a revelation. All right,

  631. there you o, Dave does it? Yeah, So let me just

  632. finish with this rest. What's our timetable, Dave, we're breaking it?

  633. Eleven thirty No, it was eleven okay, okay, let me let me.

  634. Let me just finish with this. Where we're at balance okay, the

  635. last one, death of life, okay, d balancing, doctrinal, diet

  636. and error. We are living in an incredible time of information overload. Right.

  637. The Internet's wonderful, we all love it. But now it's like it's

  638. too much. Somebody turn it off. They go, No, it's never

  639. going away. To the point we now have AI artificial intelligence and we're just

  640. getting so let me just take this last little portion of this chapter. Chapter

  641. four, verse thirty eight. Elisha came again to Gilgal, and there was

  642. a famine in the land, and the sons of the prophets were sitting before

  643. him, and he said to his servant, set the large pot on the

  644. and boil stew for the sons of the prophets. And one of them went

  645. out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine and gathered

  646. from it in his lap full of wild gourds, and came and cut them

  647. up and put them in the pot of stew. Not knowing what they were.

  648. Interesting. They poured out some for the men to eat. But while

  649. they were eating of the stew, they cried out, Oh, Man of

  650. God, there's death in the pot. There's poison in the pot. We're

  651. feeding ourselves stuff off the Internet, and somebody sent me this link, and

  652. we're we're just eating stuff and realizing a lot of us poison. We're out

  653. gathering wild information, wild theology. There's wild theology out there. Let me

  654. tell you, there's movements going on, almost unbelievable. I'm just gonna say

  655. it. I guess it's being recorded. I don't care. It's on the

  656. internet. Have you heard of that Read letter Christianity. Yeah, where it's

  657. like, we only believe the Red Letters of Jesus. We disavowed everything else.

  658. Are you kidding me? Can't trust the rest? So we just o't.

  659. We're Red Letter Christians. I was like, we're superior, We're better

  660. this phariseeic. Really, we're the Pharisees. Why we only read, we

  661. only read and believe the red letters of Jesus, those black letters, they're

  662. not authentic. I mean, there's such crazy theology floating around out there.

  663. Everything's being attacked. Why the devil, devil's been attacking. He's been doing

  664. this a long time. I mean, yeah, the Bible's full of attack.

  665. Paul had to deal with the Galatians right this letter to the Galatians.

  666. It was all about an attack on the Gospel. The Gospel is still being

  667. attacked and we've got there's better tools to attack with today than ever. It's

  668. called the Internet and information overload. It's poison. There's poisonous, and so

  669. we have to train up a generation that can be poison proof. They found

  670. wild vines and wild gourds, and now, oh there's death in the pot,

  671. and they could not eat it. And he said, then bring flour

  672. or meal, bring the word. So the prophet had to counter false doctrine

  673. with a pure word. Bring then flour, and he threw it into the

  674. pot and said pour some out for the men, and they and that they

  675. may eat it. And there was no harm in the pot. So the

  676. antidote to the poisonous doctrines out of there is going back to the apostles doctrine.

  677. We've got to stay pure in our doctrine, and prophets aren't always necessarily

  678. known as being doctrinally, but there's and that's where a lot of the poison

  679. comes from. These fake prophets and false apostles. There's false apostles, false

  680. prophets, and false teachers that are warned about in scripture and so turning to

  681. unknown food sources in a time of famine when people are when there's a family

  682. feels ver are desperate. Go back to the Elisha came to Golge when there

  683. was a famine in the land, which is what hunger. That's what I'm

  684. saying. There is a true hunger for God, but they're gonna people are

  685. gonna try to satisfy it with wrong things. That's bottom line. Why Why

  686. don't people are turning to drugs and alcohol and all kinds of stuff. Why

  687. they're hungry, They're they're in pain, they're hungry, but they're turning to

  688. wild food sources that turn out to be poisonous, and they'll go to false

  689. doctrines. That's why cults are still thriving. So it was Elisha's input,

  690. the prophetic input at a time when people are searching, and his discernment.

  691. He goes, I know what's wrong. You put there's poison in the pot.

  692. So here, let's put the word in. Let's put the flour in

  693. right, let's let's put the right ingredients in the in the in the soup

  694. pot. And so this all happens because of his predictions that came. Go

  695. back, so I'm just gonna end with the beginning. Go back to chapter

  696. eight or chapter four, verse one. Sorry, no, I'm going we

  697. have all day, don't we. I'm not gonna rust that. Just skip

  698. over to chapter eight. Just look at the first person. Then we'll stop

  699. there because we're going to pick it up later. Now, Elisha had said

  700. to the woman whose son he had restored to life, arise and depart with

  701. your household, and sojourn wherever you can, for the Lord has called for

  702. a famine, and it will come upon the land for seven years. I'm

  703. going to close with that only to say it's God that sets these things up.

  704. God sets up hunger, and I believe what's happening right now. God,

  705. God has called for a famine. So here's the question. If God

  706. calls for a famine, how do you pray? You say, take it

  707. away? You say, I rebuke you in the name of Jesus. He

  708. goes, excuse me, I'm the one that called for the famine. How

  709. do you pray when there's a famine and God called for it? Are you

  710. going to agree with the God that called the famine? Are you going to

  711. rebuke him and take authority over? How do you respond when God is moving

  712. in the earth and there's crisis and other things happen? How do we respond?

  713. And I think I really believe God has called for a famine, a

  714. spiritual famine. Why too desperate? Hunger in the people of God. That's

  715. why those kids never left the prayer room at that small college. They just

  716. wouldn't leave, and they just kept coming. Why there was hunger? I'm

  717. hungry. Well, I'm trying all this other food. I'm trying spiritual junk

  718. food. I'm tired of Netflix. I'm tired of this. I'm tired of

  719. I'm so tired of swiping. I can't watch enough reels in a row,

  720. and I get all done and I'm exhausted and going what I just do for

  721. the last hour zen spiritual junk food. There's true hunger. Let's pray.

  722. Let's pray for that. Father. I really believe you want hungry people.

  723. God, if you call for a famine, that must mean you want people

  724. to get hungry. So God, help us recognize famine in our own lives,

  725. and God produce in us that which you want, which is hunger for

  726. you. Nothing else satisfies. Lord. We are hungry for you, not

  727. just for you, but for what you want to build. What is it,

  728. God, you want from us? What did you want from that Shunamite

  729. woman? You wanted to meet her need, but ultimately you wanted to demonstrate

  730. resurrection life. You wanted to show her you are the God that can bring

  731. the dead to life. God put that in us, especially as we on

  732. the cusp of this Easter season. We're right now and lent. God help

  733. us to focus on the mighty resurrection story and make it part of our gospel

  734. conversations. Wherever we go. May we be the very vessels that bring the

  735. good news to people who are hungry, desperate and don't know where to turn,

  736. don't know how to find life, can't answer the question, what's going

  737. to happen when you die. I don't know. I guess I'll just turn

  738. into a frog come back in another life. Maybe I don't know. I

  739. hope, well, I hope this wow nothing. I'm just going to cease

  740. to exist. You know, even that answer doesn't satisfy when it comes off

  741. someone's lips. Deep down inside, they're going, I hope that's not true.

  742. I really do want to know. God, give us hunger, your

  743. spirit upon every one of us today. Let us not leave the same,

  744. let us let us leave hungry. I kind of it's kind of a funny

  745. prayer. I'd like to pray, God just fill us up, satisfy us,

  746. comfort us, maybe walk out floating on a spiritual cloud, happy clappy,

  747. saying that was the best day. I'm sorry, God, I'm not

  748. gonna pray that. God, we want to be hungry, stir our hearts

  749. today, cause hunger to seek you, find you, and then glorify You

  750. in all that we do. Pray this in Jesus name. Amen. Okay,

  751. I totally ruined the schedule, So now daves the
