4th February 2024 - Communion Service - The Surrendered Life

H m hm hm hm m yeah, yeah, yeah, m good morning.

So we're starting you study this week. This week, this month called

Love Costs. The title of this message this morning is love cost the surrendered

life. You know, the Word of God says in John three sixteen,

for God so loved the world that he gave He's only forgotten son, that

whatever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting life. And it

says in two Corinthians five twenty one. So they made him who knew no

sin to be sin for us. That why we might become the righteousness of

God in him. Chayan. So I did a bit my sermon, This

loness is fine. You know. Jesus died for us sins. That's where

it separated us from God. He just washed them away in a couple of

months. It'll be Easter. That's months. Sorry. In the Easter,

we remember when Jesus was crucified and died. But then God raised him from

the dead, so Ephesians one and verse twenty, where it says he raised

him from the dead and seated him at the right hand, at his right

hand in the heavenly places. That's where he's sitting in God's right hand in

the heavenly places, we serve a living God, and that's love that costs.

That's love in action, and that's what Jesus about. Love in action.

Mhm. So if you don't know Jesus today, for listening online or

listening later, you can have that. You can receive that love that Cha's

been singing around about this night, we've been saying about this morning, hm,

mhm. Roman's Eights says, if you'll confess with your mouth the Lord

Jesus, I believe in your heart that you're right, that that God raised

hum from the dead, you will be saved. For the one with the

heart one believes and to righteous us and with the mouth, confession's mate to

salvation. So we pray a prayer, But you know what's got on my

phone out, he says in Matthew four and verse seventeen. From that time

Jesus began to preach and say repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at

hand. That word repent is the Greek word metanoia, which means change.

So we've got to change our mind, change our way of doing things.

So you know, it's not just a case of praying the prayer and going

hey Jesus and then doing your own thing. You've got to change your way

of thinking. So you going to change your way of thinking today. You

can prayer that payer, you can believe, confess with you can cross your

mouth that Jesus Lord. You can believe in your heart that you raise him

from the dead. If you want to do that, you can message Dave

Galatians two twenty the apostle Paul speaking said, I have been crucified with Christ.

It's no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and the

life. I now live in the flesh. I live by faith in the

son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. I have been

crucified with Christ. Is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in

me and the life. I now live in the flesh, in this body,

I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave

himself for me. Just think about that for a moment. Christ, the

Anointing, the Holy One, lives in each one of us. If you

have received Him as your Lord and your savior. Wherever you go he goes

one. John four and verse eight says this, He who does not love

does not know God, for God is love. He who does not love

does not know God. For God is love. So love, our God

lives in us. You know when you travel in a car or on a

bus, on a train, and you wave with a friends of friends are

waving, going to wave you goodbye, if it's to being for a visit,

stand on the station, or they stand at the bus, or they

stand at the side of their house, and they give away, don't you

and you wave back. Everyone smiles and waves. You can see them through

the window of the train, of the bus, of the car. We

have this treasure in earth and vessels. It's setting two Printhians four and verse

seven. High our bodies. When we go about our daily lives, the

roads around us can see Jesus through the windows of our heart. Hm.

I reminded of the woman that with the with the who washed Jeesus' feet Mark

four, verse three. She washed his feet and then she had the alabasta

jar. I think it says in the King Nuke and James of get right,

spinked oil or something like that. Anyway, smelly stuff, so when

you break it, when you break its, let's break it with the person

and pervade the room and we go to town, which for pill don't know

if it was what we called London down here. When we go to town,

as usually goes into a department store and you got to walk through the

perfume bit. And I don't like the smell of all that perfume, but

it really just so overwhelms you, so it just gets up my nose.

I don't like it. But the fragrance of Jesus, when you know,

when he forbades through our lives, when that woman brought that with that that

alabastadja are, the fragness of Jesus through our lives doesn't smell like that.

It's a sweet and it's a precious smell. It doesn't get up my nose.

He doesn't push me away from that place and try to get through a

battle of wind with all that makeup on and get out to the next bit.

The fragness of trees that draws me, and the fragness of Jesus draws

the people. H you know, it's only what we do, the only

thing that we do on this earth that matters is what we do for Jesus.

What we do with Jesus, nothing else matters. Nothing else matters.

So what we do for Jesus, what we do with Jesus, that matters,

because that is eternal value. Hmmm. Dave, they've talked about seeds

a lot, but he isn't a gardener that Julia is. But he's right.

We need to plant seeds. We need to plant eternal seeds into people's

lives. And one of the ways that God does that is through the love

that flows through our heart. M hm. So this morning, John,

get back to the first slide, thanks title page. So this morning at

the top of it a few minutes now about the surrendered life. That's the

only way you can truly manifest the love of God to those people around you.

So if you surrendered your life to God, you can believe, but

not be surrendered. Did you know that you can believe but do your own

thing. So here's the rug today, go on to talk today about the

surrendered life. We're all different, we're all different places. So let's see

what ouch moments we get today or whatever Jesus said in Luke twenty two and

verse forty four in the Garden of not my will, but yours be done.

When they went off, got beaten, scourged and crucified for us,

not my will, but your will be done. And that needs to be

our prayer. Not my will, but your will be done. But how

did this work? You know? That's that's a nice thing to say,

and they're very quick. Pat isn't as simple as as that. There's there's

always a price to pay, m HM. Those things when your value costs

you something. And the honesty is cheers once that daily communion with us and

the Father HM. So you can't give out what you haven't received. And

it's as we dwell in his presence on a daily basis, that were received

from him, that love, that grace, that ability for the day,

a man of a mind, of a guy I know and knowing those in

this this church who MHM was in a hurry one morning and you know,

he didn't do what you did with the Lord. And then he went off

and they didn't work out how it planned, and he he nearly ended up

hitting somebody. He was a preacher, and a lot said to him,

he needed me today. He didn't spend that time with me. That's just

one example. But we need him today, but we need to spend that

time with David said in Psalm sixty three, Verse one, Oh God,

you are my God, Early, I will seek you. My soul thirst

for you. My flesh lungs for you. Oh God, you are my

God, Early, I will seek you my soul first for you, my

flesh longs for you. That was David's heart. The bow talks not about

David, in about his heart, and my heart needs to be in that

place where we're crying out today. Early is different for different people, where

they can be five o'clock, six, seven o'clock, course mid day for

some people, depending what they're doing. Mark one, verse thirty five,

speaking of Jesus, says, now in the morning, having risen a long

while before daylight, he went out and departed to have spirit a soldier place,

and there he prayed. I'm not recommended we go out into they're only

made at four in the morning and pray, and that's God's speech about that,

but I'm recommending that you do. We need to deal with God in

the morning, have that daily connection, that daily contact, so we become

more like him. Paul said in two Corinthians three eighteen. But we all

with on the veiled faces. Behold, as in the mirror of the glory

of the Lord, I've been transformed. And the Greek word is metamorphois to

the same image, from glory to glory, just as by the spirit of

the Lord we had changed from glory to glory. The love of God releases

through our last eye proportionately to the time we spend in His presence. When

you fill the sponge, it's soapy water if you're going to wash your car,

and surely that sponge is very dry. And when you do some mercy

in the bucket and soak it and bring it out there, it's for the

soap, and you squeeze it. And when you wash that car and you

wash that sponge out, there's still soaping that sponge. You never get really

the soap out of that sponge, because the sponge is soapd up with the

soap, and we are like a sponge which you put in the bucket and

we soak up that presence of God. You never get the presence of God

out of that sponge because it's always there. But the more it's immersed in

the soap, the more the Prince is in it. And if you to

pick a sponge out of the bucket and hold it. It just drips and

drips and drips. You've got to squeeze it to get it out. It's

just full. And that's how he wants us to be. He wants to

spend time in his presence so that we drip like that sponge. If he

wants to squeeze us, and sometimes the pressure of life does squeeze us,

then what's going to come out is the presence of God comes the love of

God. If that sponge is never spent time in the bucket and you squeeze

it, it's just a dry sponge. It can kick it up in the

air and kick it and off it goes. When something has weight in it,

and God's presence carries weight, the cab at the anointing carries weight.

Decided to kick it. So we need that daily contact, daily contact,

you know. The Apostle. John's known as the Apostle of Love, possibly

because I think it's about eighty times he wrote the word love in his in

his books, there's John, one John, etcetera, etcetera, etcetera.

And here was a disciple who Jesus loved and in one John for sixteen and

seventeen. He got it, John, God is Love, and he who

dwells and continues in Love dwells and continues in God. And God dwells and

continues in Him. In this union and communion, love is brought to completion

and attains perfection with us. So God is Love, he who dwells,

remains, lives, abides. Where I've a word to put in there of

getting the bucket in love dwells and continues in God, and God dwells and

continues in Him. In the AMPITHI that it says in this union and communion

where we joined with God, love is brought to completion and attains perfection with

us. That's what we should be stretching for to impact this town, to

impact in this nation. He's the God, Love of God, that's going

to do it. It's not going to be the work of a man.

It's going to be the work of the Holy Spirit. But we've got to

do our bit h in that daily communion, daily union with Him, so

that his presence is anointing his love. We take that sponge with it,

that that sponge of represents us and were squeeze it. That's what comes out.

There's not the work of my man. It's the work of the Holy

Spirit. As you walk down the street, you go down the supermarket,

you go to the petrol station, you go to work on the bus,

or they train or whatever. I have a common save somebody at work of

God, when it's in here, will come out. For in there he

isn't going to come out. Well, the things can't come out which might

not be edified. Let's be honest about it. So the aim of God

is when we leave his presence, after that time of soaking in his presence,

his presence as anointing goes with us. Let's be clear. That's not

something you can work up, something can buy. It's all. It's about

relationship. They're saying. It's not what you know, it's who you know.

We know the King of Kings, and we know the Lord of loves.

We're full of his person, with full of his presence. We can

do all things through Christ and strength as us with the head and the tail,

with boven underneath, we more than conquer and whose strength which strengthens.

That's the anointing we know him. Yeah. H So, drawing these strands

together, I reminder that they are selling Hughes a monthly devotional. So when

he's has a place that he's dead. Now, we had a place I

placed down in Waverley. H. He wrote a devotional called every Day with

Jesus, and that sounded out really every day with Jesus daily contact. We

have that when we have that daily contact with Him and we're soaked in his

presence and we're full of his anointing, when we're full of his love.

Thank God, I got opportunities to flow his love through us. Might be

a messy, might be inconvenient, but that's God. I've been crucified with

Christ. It's no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me and

the life which and I live in the flesh by faith in the Son of

God who loved me and gave himself for me. So they asked today,

is that we learned to live and walk in the love of God step by

step, and the step will be a miracle that was in a different place.

It's only what we do for him or with Him that matters. So
