  1. Let me pray, Father, thank you for Peter. Father, I

  2. thank you for his ministry.

  3. Father.

  4. I think he's got a heart for the world, for

  5. the nation, for preaching the gospel, for seeing churches arise

  6. and be different and be touched and filled by your spirit.

  7. Father.

  8. I pray that Lord, you move in our hearts as

  9. we hear your work today in Jesus name. Amen, Amen,

  10. thank you.

  11. Yeah. Good to be with you in this expression of

  12. what was running meat Christian fellowship or community church in

  13. it's various times. I've been in four different meeting places

  14. I think since I've started visiting you many many years ago.

  15. We were in a little chapel kind of Then we

  16. were in a school, then we were around the corner

  17. by the station, and here we are, and I think

  18. this is the best of the lot. Yeah, yeah, and

  19. is the beginning of a new adventure for you, I'm sure.

  20. So it really is encouraging to be with you. I

  21. was Saturday and Sunday morning. I play the keyboard a

  22. little bit, well, the piano. I don't like the keyboard,

  23. it's too complicated. The acoustic piano is my limit. But

  24. I play a bit like Les Dawson for those of

  25. you are older and remember but I was playing this

  26. morning and one of the songs I played was for you,

  27. O Lord, art high above all the earth, I exhort you.

  28. So I was really encouraged this morning to feel, hey,

  29. we're in the flow and this is good news. So

  30. I'm encouraged that we're going to experience something of God's

  31. presence and God's power this morning as we meet together.

  32. I've been around for many years. Last week, last Sunday

  33. was my birthday. How old do you think I was? Yeah?

  34. So how old do you think I was last Sunday?

  35. Come on, come on, be honest. I've got a daughter

  36. of fifty three. Or we've got a daughter of fifty three,

  37. so we're one hundred and three nearly. Yeah, up higher higher, Yeah. No.

  38. I was seventy six last weekend. And Irene and I

  39. got married in nineteen seventy, so we've been married fifty

  40. three years. We also started in ministry not that far

  41. from here in Barnett, North London, in nineteen seventy, so

  42. we've been around and we're still going and we're looking

  43. forward to a new season for us as well. We're

  44. actually moving to Warton on the knees up on the

  45. Essex coast there in the next couple of months. Not

  46. to retire, well kind of, but in response to prophetic encouragement.

  47. And we believe we going into another new season for us.

  48. So we're excited. We're not settling down or dying. We're

  49. living with a real sense of expectation of being part

  50. of a move of the Spirit of God. I've written

  51. five books, actually, Dave the first one. It's about the

  52. Holy Spirit. Lots of prophetic words about what I believe

  53. God is going to do, and also a basic theological

  54. outline of the work of the Holy Spirit. Anybody like

  55. that book, Here you are, my dear catch that, Yeah

  56. all right. I shouldn't have thrown it. I should get

  57. you to get it. Here's one on the gifts of

  58. the Spirit. Number two, Yes, sir, you're very encouraging. Yeah,

  59. come and get that. Yeah all right, yeah, all right.

  60. And then anybody wondering what God has for them and

  61. the ministry my brother from Iran at the back. Yeah yeah, yeah,

  62. that's for you. All right. I've got two and I'm

  63. not giving them away. You left to buy them. This

  64. one's called Our Journey. It's the story of our journey

  65. with God. Somebody read it and said to me, I

  66. believe God is going to use this book to bring

  67. people back to Him, people who've known what it is

  68. to walk with God and have walked away from God,

  69. that they're going to read it and be touched by

  70. God and start their journey back to God. That's available

  71. fiver of that one. And this one is a funny book.

  72. It's called A Time to Laugh. I wrote it after

  73. the COVID thing when there was a lot of miserable

  74. people about. And it's full of stories of mission experiences.

  75. When we've been on mission. Some funny things have happened.

  76. Some of them will make you smile, some of them

  77. will make you laugh, laugh out loud, some of them

  78. will horrify you. But all the money from that book,

  79. I raised the money to have it printed, and every

  80. penny from the sale of that book goes to missions.

  81. And that's a fiber as well. In fact, every book

  82. on the back table there is a fiver and if

  83. you buy four for twenty pounds, you can have the

  84. fifth one for nothing. So there you are. I'm not

  85. trying to get rid of them. I just want to

  86. give you the opportunity to take these of their hands

  87. and whatever. Okay, so that's the commercial and I can

  88. take cards by the way, yeah as well. So I'm

  89. speaking this morning on a prophetic word that came to

  90. us at a little while ago in the church. But

  91. I felt it's more than a word for our church.

  92. It's a word for the church, and therefore you, as

  93. part of the church, this is a word for you.

  94. It comes in three statements, wake up, look up, and

  95. rise up. And I believe in those three statements we

  96. have a word from God to encourage and inspire us

  97. in this present day in which we're living. Wake up,

  98. because if you don't wake up, you'll sleep through it

  99. and miss it. Have you had that experience? At seventy six?

  100. It's increasingly happening to me. I'm a football fan, and

  101. for some reason, they put Match of the Day on

  102. late Saturday night, and my team are never on first

  103. because they're not good enough. And so I start at

  104. half past ten watching the football and I get through

  105. the first couple of matches, and then I wake up

  106. in the middle of some other match and I've slept

  107. through it and missed it. You had that experience? I

  108. know my wife does. She starts watching a film and

  109. then she goes to sleep. She wakes up, she said,

  110. what happened? What happened? Because you go to sleep. Now

  111. here's a really deep thing. We've got some students here

  112. this morning. So yeah, so they're clever, aren't they students? Clever? Yeah? Anyway,

  113. so here's a really deep thing. Listen to this. You

  114. don't know you've been to sleep until you wake up.

  115. Think about it. This is very deep. You don't know

  116. you're asleep until you wake up. It's true, isn't it.

  117. You don't look back, So, hell, I went to sleep.

  118. Then when you wake up, you think, oh, I've been asleep,

  119. And you don't know that you've been asleep until you

  120. wake up. So it's possible to be asleep and not

  121. realize it. In fact, you never realize you're asleep until

  122. you wake up. You think I've been asleep. And I

  123. think for many believers and many churches and networks and

  124. Christians today, they are asleep and they're not aware of it. Asleep.

  125. I'm not aware of it. That's a really unfortunate, disappointing

  126. condition to be in. I believe that God wants us

  127. to wake up, you know, God worked amongst these people

  128. through Joshua. And there's a very powerful chapter, chapter three

  129. of Joshua. And in that chapter we find Joshua waking

  130. up early in the morning. It says, a Joshua arose

  131. early in the morning, and God did incredible things through

  132. him that day they went through the Jordan. The Jordan

  133. opened up miracles. But if he'd ha stayed asleep, he'd

  134. have missed it. If you're going to be part of

  135. what God's doing, you've got to wake up. And we

  136. have to wake up to what he's doing. You know,

  137. in Isaiah fifty one and fifty two, three times God

  138. says exactly the same thing, and he starts all three

  139. of those verses with these words awake, awake, oaion, awake awake.

  140. Why did he tell his people to awake because they

  141. were asleep? In fact, here's some really deep theology. Following

  142. Isaiah fifty one, You've got Isaiah fifty two, and it's

  143. in those chapters. Three times God says, awake awake, I'm

  144. going to do something. I'm going to move, I'm coming.

  145. And in Isaiah fifty three, which follows I fifty two,

  146. we have this prophetic word about the coming Messiah who's

  147. going to come and suffer and die and pay the

  148. price for people's sin, and God saying, wake up, wake up,

  149. because your salvation is coming. And what happened when he

  150. came to his people, they were asleep and they missed

  151. it because the very people he came to, the Jewish nation,

  152. to Israel, when he was born and lived when Jesus came,

  153. what happened they missed it because they were asleep. And

  154. he longed for them to respond to him and come

  155. to him and experience this wonderful salvation. But they slept

  156. through it and missed it. It's really serious, you know,

  157. to be asleep and not aware of what is happening.

  158. We need to be aware of what's going on in

  159. our world. There's a verse in one Chronicles twelve. It's

  160. one of my favorite verses, and it says this. In

  161. One Chronicles twelve thirty two talks about the sons of

  162. Isakah who had understanding of the times to know what

  163. Israel ought to do. There were these people who had

  164. understanding of the times and knew what the people of

  165. God should do. And I believe for us as the church,

  166. with this prophetic anointing, that we have and this prophetic

  167. gifting that we have. We need to be aware of

  168. the times in which we're living and know what we

  169. ought to be doing. The world is in chaos, The

  170. world is in a mess. What is going to be

  171. the next horrific news item that we watch. It's almost

  172. like at lunchtime today, you might switch on the news

  173. and you just know that there's going to be another

  174. bomb drop, There's going to be another chaos chaotic situation.

  175. There's going to be another flood, another fire, another disaster,

  176. another train crash. It's like we're living in a world

  177. full of chaos, and we need to understand the times

  178. because Jesus spoke about times of chaos and wars and

  179. rumors of wars. And as I understand what I'm reading

  180. and what I'm seeing, I believe that God is saying

  181. to us one of two things, or even both one thing.

  182. Either Jesus is coming again very soon because this world

  183. is in such chaos, or we desperately need a move

  184. of the Holy Spirit to come and change the situation

  185. because we can't go on in this chaotic world. I'm

  186. kind of I know many people were looking for the

  187. change of government to make a difference. It's almost like

  188. within three months the answer is not there. The answer

  189. is in a significant, powerful intervention of the Holy Spirit.

  190. That's the only thing that's going to change it. Or

  191. Jesus is coming again, or it's both, because the scriptures

  192. speak of both, and we need to wake up to

  193. what's happening. I don't know if you are aware of this,

  194. but in nineteen seventeen in Moscow in Russia, Oh, what's

  195. the bloke's name, Stalin and his friends Lenin Rather and

  196. his friends were gathered together to plan the over pro

  197. of the Czar of Russia and to initiate a communist regime,

  198. and very successfully, within a few years, the whole of

  199. the Eastern Lot countries came under the domination of an

  200. atheistic communistic philosophy and up the road. At exactly the

  201. same time, the Orthodox Church were having a convention and

  202. they were discussing what color vest the priest should wear

  203. on Easter Sunday, whether it should be purple or blue.

  204. While the world is coming under demonic influence and activity,

  205. the church is discussing what color shirt to wear. We

  206. need to wake up to what's happening in church. We

  207. need to wake up to what is happening in our world.

  208. There are things going on in our world that we

  209. need to be aware of in order to respond as

  210. God comes. You know, in the church, extraordinary things are happening.

  211. God is pouring out his spirit in unprecedented ways in

  212. unprecedented places. The church is in decline in the West,

  213. but in extraordinary growth patterns in the East. It's interesting

  214. that we've got a brother from Iran here. You know

  215. where the fastest growing church in the world is today.

  216. It's in Iran and Afghanistan, both of which get a

  217. bad press as countries for their political stance and activities.

  218. But God is working and moving in those very places.

  219. And China is still expressed, experiencing extraordinary growth. And God

  220. is working in India. The church in India is larger

  221. than it has ever been in the whole of history. Hey,

  222. so God is working. God is moving by his spirit.

  223. God is doing extraordinary things in extraordinary ways. We've got

  224. some students here this morning. Let me encourage you. God

  225. is moving amongst the student population. Last year in February

  226. or at the end of January in a small college,

  227. small Christian College University in Asbury, a few students stayed

  228. behind after their service to pray and wait upon God.

  229. The service was over, the benediction that happened, and half

  230. a dozen students began to cry out to God that

  231. he would come, and he came, and the power of

  232. God broke in upon that place. And God came with

  233. his presence and his power, and the rest of the

  234. college was impacted, and students began to gather from There

  235. were only a thousand students in the college, and they

  236. into the auditorium, the main one, which held six hundred

  237. and fifty people, and within a short time it was

  238. jammed packed with students crying out to God, and the

  239. Holy Spirit fell upon them, and kids were having radical

  240. transforming experiences and encounters with God. And it broke out

  241. all over the place until people from all around the

  242. world were gathering. And a friend of mine called rich

  243. Wilson actually went and was part of it. He knew

  244. the leaders of it, and he came into the middle

  245. of this thing. He said, it was the most extraordinary

  246. thing he'd ever seen in the church. The police had

  247. put up signs half a mile out from the town,

  248. the small town of Asbury, saying revival for no car

  249. parking space because people couldn't get into the town they

  250. were and people the move of God was so power

  251. that people watching on the screens outside waiting to get

  252. in the gatherings. We're having these transforming encounters with the

  253. power of the Holy Spirit. Hey, and it didn't stop there.

  254. All around the world we're hearing stories of student communities

  255. being impacted by the presence of God. You're in the

  256. right place, girls, Yeah, you're in the right place because

  257. God is coming by his spirit and moving powerfully in

  258. the world in which we live, and we need to

  259. be aware of that and respond to what God is doing.

  260. It's great to hear that you moved out to accommodate

  261. that because you believe God is going to work in

  262. that way for you. Guys, we need to be aware

  263. of what's happening in the world in terms of mental health.

  264. I don't need to go through the statistics with you,

  265. but just to say it is absolutely phenomenal what is happening.

  266. I watched the news just about a year ago on

  267. BBC News and they declared that three hundred thousand people

  268. had not returned to work following COVID with mental health issues.

  269. Three hundred thousand. The next week, there was an article

  270. on the news BBC News that one hundred thousand eleven

  271. to eighteen eleven to eighteen year olds had not returned

  272. to school due to anxiety and fear. When I spoke

  273. about that in the Midlands, the Director of Education for

  274. the West Midlands was in the meeting. He came to me.

  275. He said, it's not just one hundred thousand, he said,

  276. it's a phenomenal number of eleven to eighteen year olds

  277. whose mental health has been absolutely devastated by the COVID experience,

  278. and fear and anxiety and depression is rampant amongst our teenagers.

  279. We're living in a world where people, you know, people

  280. in your street, your neighbors, are struggling with mental health issues.

  281. It's a massive, massive problem. And I could speak for

  282. ages about that, but I don't want to accept. To

  283. say this that I believe God's heart is moved by

  284. people who are in need, and I believe that God

  285. sees the need of the people in our nation, and

  286. I believe the cry of the people is being heard

  287. in heaven. You know. In the Old Testament, in Exodus

  288. chapter two, it talks about the children of Israel, and

  289. it says this in Exodus two twenty three, the Israelites

  290. were still groaning under their slavery, and they cried out

  291. for help. Their cry went up to God, who heard

  292. their groaning. He saw the bondage of the Israelites and

  293. was concerned for them. God heard their groaning. I believe

  294. God hears the groaning of people who are struggling and

  295. suffering with anxiety and fear and depression in our day,

  296. in our country, in our streets, in our towns. I

  297. believe that when Jesus spoke in Matthew nine, as he

  298. looked across the multitude, and his heart was moved with

  299. compassion because he saw they were tired and scattered like

  300. sheep without a shepherd. I believe that Jesus' heart is

  301. still the same in heaven, and he sees people who

  302. are struggling and suffering, and his heart is moved with compassion.

  303. And I believe we as the Church are the people

  304. with the answer to Thank God for every organization for

  305. national health, for every medication and help that is available.

  306. But actually it's an encounter, a transforming encounter with Jesus

  307. that's going to make the difference we need to wake up.

  308. We need to wake up. I believe God hears the

  309. cry of people's hearts. I've been reading a lot about

  310. the move of the Spirit one hundred years ago, the

  311. Pentecostal move of the Spirit. In the twenties and early thirties,

  312. there was a phenomenal move amongst the working class of

  313. our country. It didn't touch the established church and the

  314. middle classes. It was a working class movement. The twenties

  315. were very difficult years. There was massive unemployment, there was

  316. no national health Any medical treatment you needed you had

  317. to pay for, and people had no money. The homelessness,

  318. homelessness was rife. There were major social problems. Alcoholism was rampant,

  319. and people were living in dreadful poor conditions. And the

  320. twenties and Notorious you read their history, our social history

  321. of this country, and you'll read that in the twenties

  322. there were massive, massive problems. I believe God heard the

  323. cry of people in those days and he raised up

  324. healing evangelists and George and Steven Jeffreys and Smith Wigglesworth

  325. were rampant in this country and held massive crusades in

  326. working class areas all around London. I visit barking regularly

  327. and embarking. In nineteen twenty four, there was an extraordinary

  328. move of the Holy Spirit, and there hundreds and thousands

  329. of people came to Christ. Incredible miracles took place because

  330. God heard the cry of the people. And I believe

  331. God is hearing the cry of people with mental health

  332. problems and anxiety and fear and depression, and He's raising

  333. up people and ministries and Julia to minister to people

  334. with those needs because he hears the cry of those people,

  335. as he did in the nineteen twenties. And God moved

  336. and worked, and extraordinary things happened. I mean miracles of

  337. the most extraordinary order. My favorite miracle is the miracle

  338. of a young nine year old girl who had no

  339. eyes at all, just eye sockets, and hands were laid

  340. on her and she was prayed for by George Jeffreys,

  341. and instantly beautiful blue eyes appeared in those eye sockets. Haha,

  342. What a wonderful, glorious God. How great is how God? Yeah?

  343. How great he is? Yeah? And he hears the cry

  344. of suffering people as he did in the Old Testament,

  345. as Jesus responded to the needs in the New He's

  346. the same God. He hasn't changed, and his heart is

  347. moved with compassion and a generation of people who are struggling,

  348. of young people struggling with mental health issues, of old

  349. people struggling, of single parents, struggling of the knee of

  350. the hour, and we need to be aware of that.

  351. We need to wake up to that and respond. And

  352. the second thing, because I could talk about waking up

  353. for ages, because I believe it's really important that we

  354. are challenged by what's happening and wake up to what's

  355. going on around us. God save us from becoming like

  356. that church in Russia. We're discussing about what color shirt

  357. to wear when there's a world out there that needs,

  358. desperately needs to know Jesus and he's transforming power. But

  359. we don't just need to wake up. We need to

  360. look up. Because the problem with waking up. When you

  361. become aware of the needs, you can go down the tubes,

  362. as we say, you can actually give up. You can say, well,

  363. what can we do about it? You know the government

  364. and can't do anything about it. Whichever crowd are in,

  365. So what can we hope to achieve? We can only

  366. reach this one or that one. Well, actually, the answer

  367. is that having woken up, we then need to look

  368. up because we can't do this. We can't solve this.

  369. We can't resolve this. Only God can, and so we

  370. need to look up. And we're encouraged to do that

  371. in both the Old and the New Testament. In PS

  372. one and the Psalmist says this, I will lift up

  373. my eyes to the hills. Where shall my help come from? Hah?

  374. He asked the question, where does my help come from?

  375. My help comes from the Lord. Ha ha. That's where

  376. our help comes from. Who made heaven and earth. That's

  377. where our help comes from. We don't give up, we

  378. don't go down the tubes, we don't lay down and die,

  379. we don't come under some heavy depression because we have

  380. a hope that in heaven there is a God who

  381. can move powerfully into any situation and change it and

  382. transform it, as he is doing today, as he has

  383. always done in the past. When we were encouraged to

  384. worship and seeing how great is our God, I was

  385. reminded of occasions when ire In and I of experience

  386. God's help in hopeless situations. I could keep you for

  387. a few hours if you like, telling you stories of

  388. where there was no way out, there was no possibility

  389. of change, but God stepped in. I mean God even

  390. gave a guy a dream one time to come and

  391. help us because we're in a mess and we couldn't

  392. get out on our own. And God sent somebody via

  393. a dream. I mean, he is incredible and nothing is

  394. impossible with him. Nothing is impossible, not anything is impossible

  395. with him, and so we need to look up. In fact,

  396. Jesus told us to look up when these things were

  397. happening in Luke twenty one, where he says about the

  398. time when wars and rumors of wars and famines and

  399. all this stuff was happening. What did Jesus say, go

  400. into a flat spin and go into depression and shut

  401. your door and hope it's all going to go away.

  402. No he didn't. He said, when you see these things,

  403. be happy, begin to happen Luke twenty one, twenty eight.

  404. Then look up, haha, look up and lift up your heads.

  405. For your redemption draws near. Now I know that's talking

  406. about the Second Coming, but I want to tell you

  407. I believe with all my we need to look up

  408. for our redemption draws near, and that may come in

  409. the form of a significant revival, a significant move of

  410. the Holy Spirit. God changes nations. I don't have forgot

  411. any Ugandans here, anybody from Uganda here. Yeah, oh wow, wonderful.

  412. Uganda as a nation was stripped of everything in nineteen

  413. eighty five. He was in an absolute mess. The infrastructure

  414. was broken down. One in four people had been infected

  415. with AIDS as a result of idio means hideous. Ten

  416. years of dictatorship and then five years of civil war

  417. had left the nation absolutely on its knees. And in

  418. nineteen eighty five a move of the Holy Spirit started

  419. and the nation began to be trans formed. And now

  420. there are massive churches all throughout the land. Extraordinary miracles

  421. have been happening for the last thirty five years. God

  422. has been working and their economy has grown. They've still

  423. got a way to go, but it's one of the

  424. fastest growing economies in Africa. The AIDS statistics are one

  425. of the only countries where it's going down because people

  426. are living in monogamous monogamous relationships, and so the statistics

  427. are changing because God has broken in to that nation.

  428. And God can do that anywhere in any place, at

  429. any time. I believe God is going to do it.

  430. I believe God is going to come. I believe God

  431. is going to move. Take you back to that chapter

  432. in Joshua three. You know, he woke up Joshua to

  433. what was happening, and then God says to him, look up.

  434. In in Joshua three, verse five, God says to Joshua,

  435. sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, the Lord will do wonders among you.

  436. Get yourself ready because God's coming. Right at the beginning

  437. of the service, Dave was rushing here and there and

  438. blacking out windows and making sure everything was all all right.

  439. But he did just get a few seconds with me,

  440. and he said, he said, God said to us, at

  441. the end of last year is going to send us

  442. a tsunami of souls. Do you believe that? Yeah? Get

  443. yourselves ready, Yeah, look up, get ready, because tomorrow, tomorrow,

  444. God is going to do wonders among you. It's a

  445. new day, it's a new season. We need a new word,

  446. We need to do things in a new way. You know.

  447. One of the things God says to Joshua in those

  448. early verses in Joshua three is this, you have not

  449. passed this way before. Yeah, you've not passed this way before.

  450. You're going to do things. You're going to be involved

  451. in things that, yeah, there it is, well verse four

  452. of Joshua three. I knew it was there. You've not

  453. passed this way before. God's doing new things in new ways.

  454. What I love about that story is that they went

  455. they were going to march towards the Jordan and to

  456. get into the Promised Land. And God said, you know,

  457. you've not passed this way before. It's a new day,

  458. new word, new things. And because some of the people

  459. would have been around, who remember Moses opening the Red Sea,

  460. And I can imagine some of the old fogies like me,

  461. you know, been around for years, coming up to Joshua

  462. the young man or the younger man and say to him, now, listen, Joshua,

  463. we saw Moses do it. This is what you do.

  464. You take the staff and you hold it out over

  465. the Red Sea and you say, just like Charlton Heston

  466. did in the film, you say, you say, stand still

  467. and see the salvation of God and it will open.

  468. And God says, no, that's not it's a new day,

  469. it's a new word. It's a different miracle. So God

  470. said Tom Joshua, what I want you to do is

  471. get the priest to pick up the ark and walk

  472. towards the red Sea. And I can imagine the old

  473. fogs saying, won't work. You know, that's not how you

  474. do it. That's not how God did it yesterday. That's

  475. because God's always doing a new thing, something different, something fresh.

  476. That's why we need to be open to God doing

  477. something new and fresh and different for us in this day,

  478. in this generation. We've not passed this way before. We're

  479. going to have to adjust to meet the needs of people.

  480. I want to tell you that a lot of these

  481. folks are struggling with anxiety and fear. Can't set through

  482. forty five minutes of worship and forty five minutes of

  483. some old guy out the front spout in his mouth.

  484. They can't do it. We're going to reach them. We've

  485. got to find is that right, Julia. We've got to

  486. find new ways of communicating, of connecting. The Gospel doesn't change,

  487. Worship doesn't change in terms of the importance of all

  488. of these things. But it's a new season, a new day.

  489. God's going to do something new and fresh. We must

  490. be people willing to change. I believe we have a really,

  491. a really wonderful opportunity to be part of what God

  492. is going to do. I'm convinced he's going to move.

  493. I love that you've got ready for I love that

  494. you didn't stay where you were and said, hey, we

  495. can stay here and wait till it happens and then

  496. we'll do it. But you actually took a risk and

  497. took a step of faith and an action of faith.

  498. And here you are preparing yourself because why because you're

  499. convinced that what God says is going to come to pass. Yeah.

  500. There might be a few saying, oh, you know, we

  501. really loved it in the earth. It was so nice

  502. and cozy and all of that, and we live with

  503. all of that, but we understand the importance of moving

  504. forward and believe in God for a fresh new movement

  505. of the Holy Spirit. Oh. I could say a lot more,

  506. but I don't want to. What I want to do

  507. is I want to bring up Isaiah sixty one, verse

  508. one to five. It's there on the overheads. Can you

  509. flip through to the last one? Yeah, okay, well that

  510. was quick, well done. Yeah, these are the words of Jesus,

  511. and I believe, you know, you say, what should we do, Well,

  512. this is what we should do. This is what God's

  513. calling us to. This is why God has moved you here,

  514. so that you can fill this place with people. Huh.

  515. He's moved you here because He has a heart for

  516. those who are struggling and suffering, for those who have

  517. fear and anxiety and are struggling to survive. He has

  518. a heart for people who are going through all kinds

  519. of problems with depression and other issues. For people who

  520. are struggling to pay their bills, for people who are

  521. struggling in relationships, and people who are struggling with issues

  522. of sexuality, for people who are struggling just to get

  523. up in the morning. God has anointed us with the

  524. message of truth. The spirit of the Lord God is

  525. upon me. What for to have great meetings, to have

  526. fabulous worship. Well, the secondary issues, and they're the blessings

  527. that come to us. But this is the reason for

  528. the anointing. The Lord has anointed me to preach good

  529. news to the poor, good news to the poor, to

  530. who the poor. He's sent me to heal the brokenhearted.

  531. We're living in a nation have broken a world of

  532. broken hearted people. You can't watch your television news seeing

  533. people who have lost fathers and mothers and children without

  534. being moved. They're broken hearted people. Jesus come to heal

  535. broken hearted people, whether they're Arabs or Jews, or Iranians

  536. or white British people. He's come to heal the broken hearted.

  537. Has come to proclaim liberty to captives, addicts and people

  538. who are captive in slavery of different kinds. Has come

  539. to open the prison of those who are bound, and

  540. next to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord, the

  541. day of vengeance of our God, to comfort all who mourn.

  542. Every one of those statements about the purpose of the

  543. Holy Spirit has to do with meeting the needs of people.

  544. Heal the brokenhearted, set the captive free, comfort those who mourn,

  545. preach the Gospel to the poor. The purpose us of God,

  546. filling us with the Holy Spirit, is for people's lives

  547. to be radically transformed by the power of the Living God.

  548. That's what you're here for. Are you still running me

  549. Christian fellowship? Yeah, running me Christian fellowship. God is adding

  550. to you, growing you a students at the university. You

  551. are there to do a degree and I want you

  552. to study really hard. But God's purpose for you is

  553. much bigger than that. The spirit of the Lord is

  554. upon you because there's a whole generation of students who

  555. are lost and broken and wounded and struggling with fear

  556. and anxiety. This move of the spirit in Asbury, three

  557. months after it happened, they did an evaluation of the

  558. effect of this move of the spirit. Before it happened,

  559. in any one month, around forty or over forty percent

  560. of the students would go for counseling, mainly for anxiety

  561. and fear. Over forty percent of the students. Three months

  562. after the move of the spirit, they did an evaluation

  563. and they found only two percent two percent of the

  564. students were going for counseling. Why is that world Because Jesus,

  565. Jesus heals the broken hearted, Jesus releases the captive. Jesus

  566. comforts those whom on. Jesus releases us from anxiety and

  567. fear and depression. Ha, Jesus does it. The Spirit comes

  568. upon us and through us, through you girls other students here,

  569. and through you in your workplace and in your street

  570. where you live. God wants to anoint you to bring

  571. this message of good news that Jesus makes people hole

  572. and sets people free, and I prophesy over you. If

  573. you'll respond, wake up, look up, get up, Rise up,

  574. get active. Not just come to meetings on Sunday to

  575. discuss whether you like this song or that song, or

  576. what vest you should wear, or whether you like this

  577. one leading worship or that one leading worship, or whether

  578. the preacher goes on too long or not. Most weeks

  579. we do, but actually get serious, get serious about seeing

  580. this anointing released into a world that is struggling and broken.

  581. I believe God will fulfill every prophetic purpose that He

  582. has for you Running Meat Christian Fellowship. I look around

  583. and I see all the faces. I see some really

  584. black faces, dark skin. I see some brown skin. I

  585. see some lighter skin. I even see some Chinesey skin somewhere.

  586. And I see God bringing the nations to Running Meat

  587. Christian Fellowship. Why, because through you He wants to touch

  588. the world. I see many people from different nations watching

  589. today through the through the camera. Yeah, what do you

  590. call it? Come? Yeah, that's right, the live stream. Yeah.

  591. And I see God wanted to touch and bless and

  592. reach the world through this ministry. Father in the name

  593. of Jesus, call on your name today. I pray for

  594. a new, fresh, dynamic, increasing anointing of your wonderful Holy Spirit.

  595. I pray you will come with new dynamic sense of

  596. your presence upon your people, to release through them your

  597. purpose in this day. Help us to wake up and

  598. see the need all around us, see the people who

  599. are struggling all around us. Pray that we will look

  600. up and understand that in our own strength, out of

  601. our own resources, we can't do this but to rise

  602. up under the anointing of the Holy Spirit and in

  603. your name, to lay hands on the sick and see

  604. them recover in your name, to speak deliverance and freedom

  605. to the captives, in your name, to bring your word,

  606. to bring release to fear and anxiety and depression, and

  607. to see your glory released in our day, in our generation,

  608. in our nation, in the nations represented in this gathering,

  609. and across the live stream. In the name of Jesus.

  610. In the name of Jesus, please come to us, Lord,

  611. we really do want to wake up and not be

  612. irrelevant in our day and generation. Pray for the leadership

  613. of this church. Pray for every person in this gathering.

  614. Pray for the students in this place, Lord, that together

  615. we might rise up to fulfill your purpose for us

  616. and through us, in this day, in this generation, in

  617. Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Books at the back if you want,

  618. and if you would like prayer because you're struggling with

  619. anxiety or fear
