Before I shed the word for today, I'm just going
-
to say a word of prayer. Lord Jesus, we thank
-
you for this day, Holy Spirit. Father, thank you for
-
you our present here in our midst today. Because your
-
word says we're two or three gather in my name,
-
I am there in their midst. So we thank you
-
for being here today. We honor you, we glorify you.
-
We'll lift you up, for you are worthy. You alone
-
are worthy of our praise. Holy Spirit. I surrender myself
-
into your hands. Every word that I speak may be
-
the words that you want to say today. I pray
-
Lord that there will be healing today. I pray Lord
-
that there will be healing of the heart, mind, body, spirit.
-
I pray Lord that deaf years will open in Jesus' name,
-
spiritual years, physical years, and deafness in every possible in
-
Jesus Mighty name. Amen. Okay, I'm just going to hold
-
this because I'm scared it's going to not hold the
-
weight of this, but I think it should be fine.
-
The title of the word for today is Jesus was
-
born for you and me. I just want you to
-
think about that He was born for you and me.
-
It is very personal charge. I know it's a national,
-
no internet holiday. I know that countries around the world
-
are celebrating Christmas. Everyone is in their Christmas best clothes,
-
sharing cake and wine and good food. And that's great.
-
It's it's wonderful to celebrate a good thing, because we
-
do celebrate good events occasions. But this is not Christmas
-
is not just an international holiday. Christmas was an event
-
that was personal. It's about you. Jesus was born for you.
-
Make it personal because it was very personal. Hmm okay,
-
what makes it to the headlines today? What do we
-
see on the news today? Do we see politics, Yes,
-
I think there's a lot of that in the news.
-
Do we see sports, Yeah, we know who wins the
-
World Cups? Fashion trends. How many of us follow the
-
news to see the fashion trends? Yeah? Now, celebrity gossip
-
very important, isn't it? Who got divorced? And you know, well,
-
not the best thing to say on Christmas, But anyways,
-
on the occasion, we do see in the news an
-
event that may change your life, that impacts your life directly.
-
Many years ago, there was one such event that changed
-
the life of humanity civilization. The invention of the telephone. Okay,
-
so this was a Scottish man, Alexander Graham Bell. He
-
worked as a speech and hearing expert. His mother and
-
wife both were deaf, and seeking to improve the telegraph,
-
he researched voice transmission and in eighteen seventy six he
-
patented the telephone. Now we all know that this device
-
revolutionized communication. Until then it was just letters. You had
-
to post handwritten letters or telegraphs that were typed out,
-
and that was how you could communicate to your loved ones.
-
It was one of the most significant advances of the
-
Second Industrial Revolution, to the extent that it marks the
-
beginning of modern society. Without it, the world would not
-
be as we know it today. How many of us
-
have a phone a mobile phone? Yeah, everyone has a
-
mobile phone these days. You can't in India, where there
-
are different classes. Across the world, there are different classes,
-
the middle class, the upper middle class, you know, the elite,
-
the high and mighty, the wealthy. But in India even now,
-
if you go to India, you would find in the
-
most remote villages you'd find you know, fruit sellers or
-
vegetable sellers on carts with mobile phones in their hands,
-
and you don't even have to pay them in cash.
-
They'll say, you can, you know, g pay them Google pay.
-
Telephones are everywhere and we wouldn't have it without the
-
Scottish man Alexander Graham Bell. Why is she talking about
-
telephones on Christmas? Like? What's wrong with this, lady, Deborah?
-
I mean you seriously got all your lions crossed. No,
-
despite the advancement of technology, the rates of loneliness and
-
depression of skyrocketing. We are so technologically advanced. We have Facebook,
-
we have WhatsApp, we have Twitter, we have Instagram, all
-
means of communication to keep in touch with each other. Right,
-
we had to write handwritten letters back in the day.
-
Now you can send a message to a friend with
-
the click of a button. You can How many have
-
you sent letters? No? How many of you send a
-
text message on What'sapp saying Merry Christmas to my family.
-
See that's how easy it was. But sadly, despite despite
-
the technological advancement, loneliness depression is skyrocketing today. And do
-
you know why? It's because God the Father has been
-
reaching out to us. You are not alone. God the
-
Father has been reaching out to us through the lips
-
of his prophets. There are over hundreds of prophets in
-
the Old Testament who have prophesied about the birth of Jesus.
-
Why because God, the Father's heart is filled with love
-
and longing. He wants to commune with you, connect with you,
-
bond with you like He did with Adam and Eve
-
in the cool of the day. God was not far
-
away from us. God created us, and he met Adam
-
and Eve every evening in the cool of the garden.
-
He did that. Why did God do that? Was God lonely?
-
I don't think God was ever lonely. He is triune.
-
But God knew that the human heart can be lonely
-
without him, and you will be lonely without him. But
-
you don't have to be God the Father made a
-
way for the human heart to never be lonely. Again,
-
we have the prophets in the Old Testament, Isaiah, Micah, Samuel.
-
All of these prophets prophesied the Lord's coming. I'm going
-
to read Isaiah seven fourteen and says, therefore, the Lord
-
will give you a sign. The Virgin will conceive and
-
give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.
-
The Angel answered in Luke one pint thirty five to Mary,
-
the Holy Spirit will come on you. The power of
-
the most tie will overshadow you. So the holy one
-
to be born will called, will be called the Son
-
of God. This was prophesied many hundreds of years before
-
Jesus was born, and it was fulfilled in Luke, chapter one,
-
verse thirty five. I wish I could go through all
-
the prophecies. What are these prophecies? These are God's love letters.
-
These are God's telephone calls. These are God's messages to humanity,
-
saying that I love you. You are alone without me, you
-
are not complete, You are incomplete without me. I love
-
you so much. I am sending you messages throughout the
-
whole expanse of time. And I'm telling you I'm sending
-
my son. I am sending Jesus. And why am I
-
sending my son Jesus. It is the passionate, loving heart
-
of the Father saying I'm sending you Jesus because I
-
want to be close to you again. I want to
-
commune with you, connect with you, just like I did
-
with Adam and Eve. Jesus was born two thousand years
-
ago in Bethleh for you, for me. He took the
-
form of man. But his birth had a purpose. It
-
was you because he loves you. He was born a human,
-
went through the human experience for you, for you, he
-
wants to know, He wanted to know how it was
-
to feel like a human because he was God right.
-
Imagine royalty leaving his all of his royal you know, treatments, luxuries,
-
whatever that you know, royal people are used to royalties,
-
used to having and he came down in a human
-
experience because he loved you and he wanted you. He
-
wanted to know you and understand you in every way.
-
Do you know that? Sometimes we don't understand ourselves. Sometimes
-
we do things and we go we wonder like, why
-
did I do that? Why did I say that? Why
-
did I make that decision? What's wrong with me? Jesus
-
understands you. He understands everything about you. And he came
-
two thousand years ago as a baby. But do you
-
know what, Jesus is coming back again, and this time
-
he's not going to be a baby. He's not a baby.
-
He's going to be the king of kings, and every
-
king and every knee will bow before Jesus. He's coming
-
for his bride. Now for those who are you know
-
on their journey with the Bible. We the Church are
-
the bride of Christ. Jesus came two thousand years ago.
-
I'm going to repeat that, but he's coming back for
-
his bride. He wants a bride who's preparing for him?
-
How can you prepare for Jesus? How can you do that?
-
Two ways? No, Actually, I'm going to give you one
-
hundred steps on how you can prepare for Jesus. Everyone excited.
-
We're going to get one hundred steps. We're going to
-
go through each and every step in detail. I'm just
-
finding you all up. Two ways, guys, there were two
-
ways that you can prepare for Jesus. How can you
-
prepare for Jesus? Worship and pray? I know that sounds
-
really simple, right, We're in charge worship and pray. That's
-
the most simple thing to do. Do we give God
-
his due worth? How do you behave? How would you behave?
-
If just right now, Prince King Charles walk through the door,
-
would everyone just sit there now? If Prime Minister Narramodi
-
walk through the door, everyone would stand in respect and
-
in honor. Do we give Jesus his due worth? He
-
is worthy of all your worship. Worship is also worthship.
-
That's something that we learned worthship. How many times do
-
you look at this guy and you see this beautiful
-
sunset and you go, like, God, that's you. You're amazing.
-
How many times do you look at I don't know
-
a rose that blooms and you say, God, that's you.
-
Do you really take time throughout your day to look
-
at things and go, I worship you God, because that
-
is only you, and only you can do that. How
-
many of you have tried in like, you know, growing
-
a plant. Yes, a lot of gardeners in the house tried, yes,
-
that being the keyword. But you know you cannot create
-
a rose. God created the rose. And yet we walk
-
through gardens and we just don't even take a second
-
to worship God. Worship is not coming on a Sunday
-
and singing a song. Worship is every single second of
-
your life. You look at the sky, you say, God,
-
you're amazing, worship you. You look at the rose, you say, God,
-
you're amazing. I worship you. You look at a newborn baby,
-
you say, God, you're amazing. I worship you. You look
-
at the food on your table, you say, God, you
-
are my provider, I worship you. You look at your
-
children and say, God, you have blessed me with this offspring.
-
I worship you. You look at everything around you and
-
you say, God, I worship you. Because worship is not
-
a song. Worship is every breath that you breathe, and
-
God deserves your worship. Pray the second point. Pray talk
-
to God, hear his heart for your future, and see
-
your role in his plan. You have the privilege of
-
being a part of God's plan. I'm going to repeat that,
-
you have the privilege of being a part of God's plan.
-
Can you Can you fathom that? It's like mel Gibson
-
rings you and says, hey, Selma, I would like you
-
to play the lead in my next movie doing Passion
-
of the Christ three and I would like you to
-
play the role of dorcas one of the wealthy women
-
who ran business. She ran her own business and she
-
supported the ministry of Jesus. I would like you to
-
play that role. Sama's going to be like you know,
-
she's going to be over the moon. She's going to
-
be so happy. That's to play the part in a
-
human production movie. You have the privilege of playing a
-
part in God's plan that is amazing, that is massive.
-
Do not discredit that. Do you know how you can
-
discredit that by not being a part of it. Do
-
you know how you cannot be a part of God's plan.
-
Don't pray, don't ask God, make your own decisions in life.
-
Just go through life and say, oh, you know what,
-
I think this is the best thing that I can
-
do for my life, So I'm going to do it now.
-
I am not saying don't use common sense. Don't stand
-
in the middle of the road and say, God, unless
-
you tell me to cross the road, I'm not going
-
to cross this road. There's a place for common sense.
-
You do have to get up and cross the road.
-
You have to buy your groceries. But you have a
-
plan in God's life. There might be a person at
-
the supermarket and God wants you to go up to
-
that person and say, Jesus loves you. That is your
-
part in God's plan. There might be a person and
-
your place of work. You might be working, and there
-
might be a person that looks sad or distressed, and
-
it's in God's plan for you to go up to
-
that person and say, hey, you look sad today. I
-
just want you to know that God loves you. You
-
have the privilege of being a part of God's plan,
-
but you need to pray if you want to be
-
a part of God's plan. I think there are many
-
Christians who are going to miss out on so many
-
things that God has intended for you to do because
-
you didn't ask him. If you asked him, he would
-
have told you. How does God talk to you? God
-
talks to you through his word. I've heard so many people,
-
students come up to me and say, I want to
-
know how to hear God. How do I hear God?
-
How do I hear him? Does God even talk? Is
-
it just my imagination? I don't know if God really talks. No, Church,
-
God talks, Okay, he really does. Sometimes he even says
-
things that you may find difficult to follow through, but
-
He will give you grace and strength. But God talks?
-
How does he talk? He talks through his word. Prayer
-
is a mixture or a combination of you talking and
-
reading the Word the Bible. God talks through his word.
-
And so many times people go through life thinking, Oh
-
my God, God is not talking to me. I can't
-
hear him. Does he even talk? No? The Bible says,
-
God is not deaf or mute like the idols. God
-
can hear you when you ask a question. And God
-
does talk to you, and he will answer you, and
-
he talks through his word. So I'm going to encourage
-
all of you this Christmas to take Christmas very personally.
-
Jesus came for you, and it is not just an
-
national holiday. His purpose was you. He was born for
-
you and me, and in his birth the plan of
-
his redemption to save you, to save me. But we
-
need to be a bride that is preparing for Jesus.
-
How can you prepare without prayer, without worship. I want
-
us to go back home and actually reflect for some
-
time and think about do we live a lifestyle of
-
adoring and worshiping God? Do we ask God before we
-
make decisions? Do we ask Him what his plan for
-
us is? There is a prophecy that in Isaiah chapter
-
thirty five, verses five and six, And today I'm going
-
to speak that over us, and it says, then will
-
the eyes of the blind be opened and the ears
-
of the death unstopped, Then will the lamb lame leap
-
like a deer. Sorry, it's all Christmasy, and I'm only
-
thinking of the lamb, and the mute tongue shout for
-
joy and streams in the desert. I'm going to repeat
-
that again. Isaiah chapter thirty five was five to six.
-
And will the eyes of the blind be opened? And
-
I pray in Jesus name that every blind eye will
-
be open today, every spiritual blindness, every physical blindness will
-
be open in Jesus name, the ears of the deaf unstopped.
-
I pray that today every deaf year be open in
-
Jesus' name, every spiritual deafness and every physical deafness. The
-
mute tongue shout for joy, every tongue that is bad
-
and not able to worship God. Not just in church,
-
but when we walk on the road, when we are
-
at our workplace, when we're at the supermarket, when we
-
look at the stars in the sky, when we look
-
at the sunrise, when we look at the flowers, every
-
mute tongue that is not worshiping God. I declare today
-
in Jesus' name, that the mute tongue shop for joy
-
and streams in the desert. I declare this over our church.
-
I declare this over each and every person standing here today.
-
I declare this over my family. I declare that every desert,
-
every barrenness, every fruitlessness in our lives, every area, because
-
the Bible says that if you do not bear fruit,
-
the Lord's going to chop it off. The Bible says
-
that if you do not bear fruit, it's going to
-
be chopped off. So I pray that every dry, unproductive,
-
fruitless area in your life you will see streams life
-
of the Holy Spirit. So I'm going to pray before
-
I end my message, Father, I pray that every desert
-
will see streams flowing today and this year onwards. I
-
pray that you will to dead situations. I pray Father
-
that there will be big truths, there will be healing.
-
There will be not just the birth and the celebration
-
of your birth Jesus, but also there will be your
-
church and a bride preparing for your coming. I pray
-
that we will be a church that worships you in
-
every way. I pray that we will know your heart, Jesus,
-
that we will know what you want for us. For
-
each and every day, Thank you for blessing us, Thank
-
you for being born in Jesus Mighty name. We pray
-
Amen
