  1. Paul's gods, and Israel is not following God at all,

  2. but he is in Samaria, which is the cultural head.

  3. It's like saying, you know, go to Las Vegas, tere

  4. the prophet is okay, none of you'll know what las

  5. Vegas means. Okay, you are too holy. Right. So he

  6. goes there and he's waiting to meet Elisha. Very interesting passage.

  7. He's going to meet Elisha and he says to the attender,

  8. go tell Elisha that I name and has come to

  9. meet you. And Elisha does this most funniest things. He

  10. just he doesn't even come to meet him. He just

  11. send a word, go tell Naman, go dip yourself in

  12. the Jordan river and you'll be healed. Oh my god

  13. name and lost it? What even, dude, what even? You

  14. didn't even come out to meet me? Do you know

  15. who I am? I am naming the mighty One, the

  16. valiant one? Who is who you know who raids your

  17. cities and takes loodes? You don't even come and you know,

  18. do something fancy, you know, wave your hand around me

  19. and then say whosh, your healed. No, No, Jazz, Naman

  20. got really mad. I'm sure if you were there in

  21. this place. None of y'all would have got mad, because

  22. y'all are so so calm. You don't like me. I'm hyperactive,

  23. but I was thinking about it. Naman had expectations, he expected,

  24. and I'm coming for my healing and I'm coming with

  25. everything gives and everything else. Elisha would come and treat

  26. me in a different way and do this whole miracle

  27. thing in such a fancy way. But he didn't do it.

  28. So why did Elishah not do it? A couple of things.

  29. Elisha was helping name and understand a root problem. Elishah

  30. didn't bother about the leprosy. Leprosy was not the issue.

  31. There was a root problem which Nayman had to be

  32. dealt with, and that was pride. None of you'll have it.

  33. I'm just telling what Naman had. Naman had this issue

  34. that you know. It's like this sometimes when we go

  35. to God, we have our expectation. Lord, I need this healing,

  36. but I need it like this. Okay, none of you'll

  37. pray for healing. Okay, so you don't know what I'm talking. Okay,

  38. I'll give you a much more easier exams. Lord. I

  39. like this guy, not me, I'm just saying, somebody, some

  40. be serious. Okay, somebody saying this. Okay, let's take a teenager.

  41. You know, teenagers are the best. Teenagers at least agree

  42. with me, right, okay, Okay, So I'm a teenager. I'm praying.

  43. I like this girl, Lord, she should be like this,

  44. like this, and ten different characteristics that I need. Your will, Lord,

  45. always your will Lord. But these are the things that

  46. I need. And then you're praying, You're fasting about it

  47. every Tuesday, you're praying every Friday. That's a prayer request.

  48. It's a secret one though. We don't tell all these

  49. real prayer requests. We give all a dignified prayer request, right,

  50. Pray for me to get closer to God. Pray that

  51. I read the word of God. Those are the good ones.

  52. That's what we usually tell people, the real ones. If

  53. we have a time of prayer, that's what we would say.

  54. The real prayer request comes in there, what we really need,

  55. and that we would have one set of lists. I'm

  56. sure you didn't have. I had. I had a lot

  57. of lists which God, God had to deal with me

  58. on that we give them. We give him the list

  59. and so we say, look this is what I exactly need.

  60. I'm sure God doesn't know how what we need right.

  61. He needs help, and we are trying to help him

  62. to understand what our real needs are. We're so helpful,

  63. you know, but if God sends another person, you're just like,

  64. be away from me. This is not God's will. The

  65. number one issue Namean had was pride. I'll give you

  66. another example. You have a shoulder pain, right, and when

  67. you're standing in here in church, the spirit of God says,

  68. worship me, lift your hands. The first thing that you

  69. your mind would say, I don't have to lift my hands.

  70. I'm worshiping God in my heart. I don't have to

  71. lift my hands. I don't have to open up my mouth.

  72. My heart is worshiping the Lot twenty four past seven. Anyway,

  73. I don't have to do this. You see, God's instructions

  74. are very very simple. If you would have obeyed and

  75. raised your hands, you would have got your miracle. But

  76. we didn't want to. We want the miracle the way

  77. we want it, not the way God prescribes it. So

  78. Elijah didn't go to meet Naymen. That was one pride.

  79. Second things. Second second point was Elishah wanted Naman to

  80. know that God's power works on his terms, not on

  81. Naman's expectations. You can expect anything that you want, but

  82. it's not going to work because you expect it. It

  83. works because on his terms. His power works on his terms.

  84. Elisha wanted Naman to clearly understand few things, and that

  85. is this. You cannot transaction. You know, you can't transact healing.

  86. God's power is not for sale. You can bring all

  87. your gifts, you can give one million dollars, It's not

  88. going to give you his power. You know why, because

  89. it's not for sale. You know the I know should

  90. I tell this, but anyway, I'm going to say it anyway.

  91. You know we have we we live in an age

  92. where we have evangelists on TV saying send your ten pounds,

  93. send your ten dollars and get your healing. I think

  94. that's something a dear friend, dear friends of mine in

  95. the Catholic world did it all a long back. They

  96. were masters at it, you know, buying forgiveness. I don't

  97. know if you know the concept. By in the dark ages,

  98. you know, the Catholic used to, you know, write out

  99. scripts and say, okay, your forgiveness this much you know,

  100. ten bags of gold coins. He has your forgiveness. It's

  101. the same thing. There's nothing new under the sun. But

  102. God's power is not based on your transaction. Elisha also

  103. wanted Namen to know that God's grace cannot be purchased.

  104. You cannot purchase God's grace. It comes because of a relationship.

  105. And also one thing Elisha wanted to make it very clear,

  106. it is not the messenger. You know, if Elisha came

  107. before Naman and did all this you know, fancy stuff,

  108. and moved his hand round and you know, told the

  109. twelve names of God and all of that, Nayman would think, okay,

  110. this guy Elisha, let me build a statue of him

  111. and keep it at home and start praying over it.

  112. Humans are very good idle man, because that is why

  113. we have the show called American Idol, in the Indian

  114. Idol British Idlers. He wanted Elisha wanted name him to know.

  115. God alone is able to do things and it's not

  116. about people. He uses people. This instruction that was given

  117. to name in to name in, it was humiliating. He

  118. got so mad and he's saying, Jordan that X y

  119. Z river do you want me to go dip in

  120. that I have better rivers, better rivers from where I am.

  121. I have, you know, he he says, in the name

  122. of two rivers, Abana and Parafra. And if you don't

  123. know tongue starts speaking the words in the Bible, you'll

  124. automatically get tones. The most dirtiest river muddy all the time,

  125. muddy is Jordan. You know, we have some imaginative at

  126. least I have some imaginative paths where I think Jordan

  127. is this amazing river. You know why, because Jesus got

  128. baptized in that. You know, sometimes you would hear super

  129. super super holy believers saying I want to get baptized

  130. in Jordan river. If you wait for that, I don't

  131. think you'll You'll get baptized in Heaven directly then, So

  132. don't don't wait for that. Wherever you find, whichever opportunity

  133. to get baptized, just jump into it. Elijah was testing Namen.

  134. He wants to get healed, But is he going to

  135. obey God's word or no? Because end of the day,

  136. regardless of whether you're name Mean or whether you're Jerobo

  137. or King David or Abraham or whoever you are, be

  138. it a Jew or a non Jew. God's looking for

  139. one thing. Are you obeying what I say? So? Here

  140. name is in this place where he has to decide.

  141. Am I going to obey? And he's super pissed and

  142. I'm not going to obey and he walks out. You know, like,

  143. have you seen these small kids when you when you

  144. don't buy them something? You know, you take them to

  145. this supermarket and they see all these chocolate and say mommy, mommy,

  146. can I buy this chocolate? And you say lovingly, no, dear?

  147. And what there's a childhood? Does a child say yes, mommy? No?

  148. Stomp your foot and say get angry, get mad? You know,

  149. we're all laughing at it. But you know what, we've

  150. all done this, not as kids, though, but as adults.

  151. God didn't answer me. I'm not gonna pray. God didn't

  152. answer me for this. I'm not gonna talk about. Why

  153. should I talk about I'm not talking about you, I'm

  154. talking about me. I've done this. I've done this you know,

  155. many many times, many times. God didn't come through for

  156. this or He's put this difficulty in my life. I'm

  157. so upset with God. Yeah, you can get upset with God.

  158. True belief in God manifests itself in full obedience to

  159. the word of God. I'll repeat that again, true belief

  160. in God manifests itself in full obedience to the word

  161. of God name and thank God. Was a man of

  162. logic in reason. So when his friends who came along

  163. with him basically servants actually who came along with him, said,

  164. Father or Master, you know, if the prophet would have

  165. told go take a dip in that river, wouldn't you

  166. obey it? Or if you have told you to do

  167. something else, wouldn't you not obey? Then why not give

  168. it a try? Why not give it a try? You

  169. know what? Sometimes God, God waits for you to get

  170. to the point of desperation. That's like the antidote for pride.

  171. He'll wait, He'll wait till you come out to a

  172. place where you're desperate, because when you're desperate, your pride

  173. will take the back seat and you will want to

  174. try anything that's possible to get you out of that situation.

  175. This guy is good, and Aymon is good because he listened.

  176. He listened to his peers or his servants and said, okay, fine,

  177. Thank God for good friends. You know, some of you

  178. all have good friends in your life. Thank God there

  179. aren't many, so hold them close. Amen. Pride will make

  180. you deaf and blind to God, just like how Israel

  181. was come to that moment, you know, the moment nay

  182. Man decided, Okay, I'm going to do it, even it

  183. be it's a dirty river, I'm still going to do it.

  184. The moment he started walking, his healing process began. We

  185. always think that the moment he dipped in the river

  186. at the end of the seventh time is when he

  187. got healed. No, okay, is my personal thing, is my

  188. personal understanding of it. But I believe this, the moment

  189. you obeyed, his healing started. You may be sitting here

  190. with so many issues. There are certain recurring issues with

  191. certain issues that you don't know how to deal with

  192. if you obey. You know, one thing I've noticed is

  193. this God doesn't ask complicated things. He's a very simple guy.

  194. You look so serious. You know who makes it complicated? Yeah,

  195. you can tell his name. Yes, we but we are

  196. in inspired by somebody else. You know. At home, we

  197. call them the diablus. It sounds fancy, that's why. But

  198. the devil, basically religion makes it complicated. I'll give you

  199. an example. When I was studying in a Catholic school,

  200. everybody thought I was a Catholic, even though I kept

  201. shouting at the top of my tongue that I'm a Protestant,

  202. you know. But in Catholics, when I have a lot

  203. of friends of a lot of Catholic friends, so and

  204. so that they think I'm a strong Catholic. Right. I

  205. don't know how that makes sense, But anyway, you know,

  206. when when when they need a resolution for an issue,

  207. they'll say these standard prescriptions ten Hail Mary's twenty half

  208. other day and night such and such a day. Simple.

  209. You know you do all this. You're done any other religion.

  210. You know, you go climb this mountain bare foot, take

  211. take bath every day in the hold water, and go

  212. to this high mounted barefoot and fast for three days.

  213. You know. Surprisingly, we would all love to do it.

  214. We would all love to do it because you know,

  215. we like to purchase the miracle. We don't like something free.

  216. We devalue it. God gives it free, not because it's cheap,

  217. because you can never purchase it. You don't have the currency.

  218. All the money in the world cannot purchase him. I

  219. cannot purchase even a drop of his anointing. He gives

  220. it free because He has his mercy towards you. He

  221. is merciful towards you. God. It can be a simple

  222. thing to this. You have an issue. But when you

  223. come Sunday, God's telling okay, open up your mouth and

  224. praise God. I ain't doing that. Lord. I can do

  225. this when I'm in college. I can shout in the

  226. party that's going on, I can scream my lungs out

  227. that the next day I can barely speak. Or in church,

  228. I'm gonna be all other Lord, Why because my grandfather

  229. was lothers or because I come from the church which

  230. is off chosen and the frozen. That's pride and stubbornness.

  231. And that's exactly what Israel was doing. They think they

  232. knew God very well. They treated God as their personal property.

  233. But God did all the healing, not with Israelites. That's

  234. why Jesus quoting the scripture that he didn't he anybody

  235. in Israel. He healed people in Samaria because you know what,

  236. they obeyed God and sit here hear a nice sermon

  237. and do zero obedience and be still stuck in the

  238. same Omal problem, Whereas people on other side of the

  239. world who are going through enormous issues believe God, obey

  240. God and walk in his miracles. You see the choices

  241. with us. Are you going to obey the simple things

  242. that God asks you? Or are you going to complicate

  243. it and then think if God does this, I will

  244. do it believe me? Or no place to bargain with God? Okay?

  245. Can I go a little deeper? Is this too heavy? No?

  246. Can I go deeper? Are you with me? Are you

  247. with me? Amen? Thank you Lord. That's an indication. You know.

  248. I was curious as to you know, why seven times.

  249. I'm sure he would have dipped himself in the river

  250. and he would have got healed. It's not like God's

  251. power works in some sort of method or anything, you know.

  252. I was just curious about it. Why the seven times?

  253. Of course, seven is the number of divine perfection. Somebody

  254. said that, thank you. I think it was you don't. Okay,

  255. thank you, it's the number of divine perfection. But I

  256. just wanted to go deeper. You know, what does it

  257. actually mean? Because anywhere in the scripture you see God

  258. loves to hide little nuggets. Do you want a little

  259. nugget today, not the chicken nugget that you'll get later.

  260. So when Naeman walked into the river, you think about it.

  261. Put yourself in Naeman's shoes. I did for the first time,

  262. check my leprosy not healed, second time, third time, fourth time,

  263. fifth time. Now I'm like the saying working bro. And

  264. then seven times his skin was brand new, like the

  265. skin of a new baby. No cream in the world

  266. can give you that. What's the name? Some of the

  267. creams holy or I don't know, that's not my division anyway,

  268. you know, none of those creams, garner or whichever cream

  269. can't give you that. You know, it's the same with us.

  270. We stand in worship and then we raise our hands

  271. and then they say, Lord, it's not working. We'll try again,

  272. try again, try again, and you will see God working,

  273. because when he says something, he will do it. Okay,

  274. let's go to why seven times. Right, when a person

  275. is inflicted with leprosy, there is a purification process. You know,

  276. Israelites had a lot of customs and traditions to follow, right,

  277. So in the Leviticus book, if you go to the

  278. leven Tickets book, you will see when they are healed.

  279. They need to take two birds. I had two clean birds,

  280. could be pigeons or whatever. Right, one is slaughtered over

  281. a fresh water in a clay pot. The second is

  282. dipped in the blood along with sed word, scarlet yarn

  283. and hippos. Okay, one is slaughtered. The other one is

  284. dipped in the blood of this bird along with word scarlet, yon, hippos,

  285. and the blood is sprinkled seven times on the heal

  286. person and the live bird is released into the open field,

  287. symbolizing freedom and cleansing. This was mind blowing for me

  288. because God has put in a small nugget there even

  289. in the healing of Namen. If I look at the

  290. Seder word, it symbolizes the cross. If I look at

  291. the scarlet yarn, it symbolizes the blood. If I look

  292. at the hippos, it applies. It is the application of

  293. faith in Christ's sacrifice the two birds on his death,

  294. on his resurrection, you are set free. It's complete freedom.

  295. You know, Naman was not just healed of his leprosy.

  296. He was restored three sixty degree in such a way.

  297. See we are looking at just the healing of the flesh.

  298. But what happened to Naman was you know what Namon told?

  299. Now I know there is no other God but the

  300. God of Israel. That is what God wants. He wants

  301. you to know. The healing is not the whole purpose.

  302. The healing is for you to know who really the

  303. Lord is. Today, I want you to I want to

  304. ask you this. What is God asking you to do?

  305. Is he asking you to get baptized? Is he asking

  306. you to connect with any of the teams. Is he

  307. asking you to be more faithful in prayer? Is he

  308. asking you to be more faithful in your giving? Or

  309. is he asking you come to me and accept that

  310. I'm your Lord? What is stopping you? Ask yourself this question.

  311. Don't leave this place without answering that question, because the

  312. Lord is answer asking you that question. Today. Before we close,

  313. I just want to read one verse that is fust

  314. Samuel fifteen twenty two. But Samuel replied, does the Lord

  315. delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as in

  316. obeying the Lord? To obey is better than sacrifice, and

  317. to heed is better than the facts of ram Amen.

  318. Let's pray, Lord, Holy Spirit. I thank you Lord for

  319. moving on our heart's Lord. I pray Lord that you

  320. will give us the grace to answer your question. Lord,

  321. help us clearly know what you're asking us to do, Lord,

  322. and give us the strength to do it. Lord. I

  323. pray Lord that you will move our hearts and minds

  324. from indecision Lord to firm decisions. Lord. I pray Lord

  325. that commitments will be made today morning. Lord, that broken

  326. altars will be repaired. Lord, that hearts will be returned

  327. to you. Lord, that souls will be one today. Lord.

  328. Every person listening to this voice, Lord, I pray that

  329. your spirit will move upon them. Lord, speak to the Lord.

  330. Don't remain silent, speak to him. If you don't know

  331. who this Lord is, cry out to him and say, Lord,

  332. I want to know you. I really want to know you.

  333. I want to know you as my Lord and my savior.

  334. Thank you, Holy Spirit, because you are able. Thank you Lord,

  335. because you know where we are, and you know the

  336. questions that you ask is the answers that we seek. Lord.

  337. I thank you Lord because you're able. I thank you

  338. because you love us immensely. Lord. Thank you because you've

  339. heard and answered our prayers. Lord, and Jesus Mighty name

  340. me pray thanks. Sherrian okay story of
