Messianic Gifts: The Gift of God’s Glory

Good morning. It's good to see. Welcome to be, Doesden.

I'm glad that you're hearing. Pastor Jonathan. I'm glad that

you're worshiping with us this morning. If you have your bibles,

I hope that you do. If you'll turn with me too,

We're going to be in two passages of scripture this morning.

So Isaiah six, if you'll turn there, Isaiah sixth chapter one,

and then also if you'll turn in the Gospel of

John John twelve, and we'll start in verse thirty seven

in just a little bit. But Isaiah six and then

John twelve thirty seven. I mean, yeah, Isaiah six '

to one and John twelve thirty seven. Have you ever

seen anybody famous? You ever encountered you ever been maybe

into the airport and you saw a famous person in

the airport, or maybe you went to a restaurant he

saw one of the Carolina Hurricane players. Or maybe maybe

you went to a concert of someone and you heard

someone seeing or perform. I remember the first time I

encountered seeing someone famous. It was Ricky the Dragon's Steamboat.

I won't know if you know that is, but he

was a wrestler back a mini Medie Media years ago

and he was at an air show. Me and my

dad were at and and I got to meet hum

in person. And I remember as a little kid, I

was just amazed by Ricky the Dragon Steamer, how big

he was compared to what he looked like on TV.

And a friend of mine who lives in Montana and

he lives in the area with a lot of celebrities,

and he sent me a picture of the other week

of Harrison Ford. He actually was in the grocery store

and Harrison Ford was there and he got to talk

with him. And this week we're in. We were celebrating

Thanksgiving in Disney and we were, you know, going through

doing some different sites and seeing different things that we're

in this one place where this gingerbread house was and

we noticed a lot of people were looking over this

one vicinity and we saw Josh gadd. I don't know

if you know Josh gadd is. He is the voice

of Oloff. If you ever heard of the movie called Frozen,

He's the voice of Oloff. And so we got to

see Josh gadd in person. But you know, when you

if you see someone person, you're you're quickly you're amazed

maybe by them. And maybe it's if you saw the

man concert, maybe you heard their voice on the ready

or on TV, but you're amazed by what their voice

was like in person. Maybe if you saw someone in person,

maybe they did a show and you were amazed by

what they could do and how they performed. And many

times when we see someone in person, we're amazed by

maybe their voice, or maybe we're amazed by their performance

or what you see them do. This morning, we're going

to come to a passage scripture in Isaiah chapter six

where someone doesn't just see a person, where someone sees God,

sees the glory of God. And who is this person.

This person is Isaiah the Prophet, and I want us

to see as we begin in Isaiah chapter six, someone

wants us to see what he was amazed by and

what he saw and what he heard. And so that's

how we want to start at this morning is Isaiah's

chapter six, and see Isaiah who sees the glory of

God and how he's amazed by what he saw and

what he heard. Now, this morning, we're starting our new

Christmas series and the title of our Christmas series is

The Messianic Gifts and throughout a Christmas season. This year,

we're going to look at Isaiah's prophecy of the coming Messiah.

These are what we call messianic prophecies. And as we

look at these Messianic prophecies prophecies, we're going to see

how these prophecies were fulfilled in christ. You know, if

you think about a prophecy in the meant first minute

you think about a prophecy is a promise. It's a

promise of something that the Messiah when he came, something

he would do, or something he would give. And this morning,

as you look at this passage of scripture, we're going

to look at this prophecy of Isaiah and something that

through the prophet Isaiah, God promised to give his people,

promise to give you an I. And so this morning

I wanted to see what was this promised gift that

this Messiah would give. And also there's two parts of

this prophecy. This morning, not only did Isaiah prophesy about

a coming gift from God to his people and to

you and I, but he also prophesied how you and

I would respond to that gift. And so this morning

I want to look at us look together and I

want us to see Isaiah's vision, how we saw the

glory of God. See what he heard and what he saw.

And I want us to see how Isaiah prophesied what

God would give, and how we respond to this gift.

Let's stand together, Let's read Isaiah chapter one, and let's

look together. And I want you to listen as we

read this passage. I want you to listen for what

he heard, and want you to look for what he saw.

Listen to what it says. And it says in the

year that King Isaiah died. What I saw the Lord

seeing upon a throne and lift it up, and the

train of his robe filled the temple, and above him

stood the seraphim. Each had six wings. With two he

covered his face, and with two he covered his feet,

and with two he fell. And one called another and said, Holy, Holy, Holy,

is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is full

of his glory. And the foundations of the threshold shook

at the voice of him who called, and the house

was filled with smoke. And I said, woe is me,

for I am lost. I am a man of unclean lips,

and I dwell in the midst of people of unclean

lips from my eyes have seen the King, the Lord

of Hosts. Let's pray together. Lord, We thank you Lord

for this morning. We thank you that you've brought us

to gather together, Lord, as your body, as your people, Lord,

to hear your voice, just as Isaiah heard your voice

that day. God, we long today Lord to hear your voice. Lord,

we longed today to see your glory. God. We recognize

you give us many great gifts God to Father, and

you give us the gift of your son, Jesus, say

the Lord today. May we see him in his glory.

May we hear about his glory, and may we receive

the gift of your glory. Lord. We love you. Lord.

I pray today that everything that I say today would

not be for my glory, for the glory of Bethesda.

What would be but for your glory and our good.

So move today in power and your name, We pray, Amen,

you may be seated. So what did Isaiah see? So

we see this vision and encapsulated in this vision as

a prophecy, And what did Isaiah se? Isaiah saw the

glory of the Lord. Scripture says he describes this glory

of the Lord that he saw. He saw the Lord

what high and lifted up right. He saw him seeded

on the throne. He saw seraphion right, who were giving

God glory glory. He saw the foundation's shake right, Scripture

says in verse four, and the foundations of the threshold

shook at the voice of him. He saw the glory

of the Lord. Scripture says in verse five, where he declares,

from my eyes has seen the King, the Lord of hers.

Isaiah saw the glory of the Lord. Not only did

he see the glory of the Lord, the scripture says

he heard the glory of the Lord. Scripture says he

heard the glory of the Lord. When the seraph and

cried out, Holy, Holy, Holy. Scripture says he heard the

whole earth is full of his glory. Was What was

Isaiah's response to what he saw? What was Isaiah's response

to what he heard? His response when he fell in worship,

and he says, woe am I I am a man

of unclean lips, I am a what I'm a sinner?

God nothing in me, there's no good in me, and

nothing compares to how glorious you are. God. I need you.

He responded to the glory of God by brokenness. What

was this Messiah's messianic prophecy. In Isaiah six well and

Isaiah sixth, Isaiah sees the glory of the Lord. Now,

if you go with me the John chapter twelve, the

gospel writer of John, talks about Isaiah's vision of seeing

the glory of the Lord. He talks about Isaiah of

hearing the voice of God, and he says that Isaiah

saw the glory of God. He saw Jesus. Now, let's

look at this passages together. Go back and go with me.

Now to John chapter twelve and verse thirty seven. Let's

look together how John saw that this was part of

the promise of the Messiah, and how Isaiah saw this promise,

and what the promise Messiah was supposed to give, or

what God was going to give through the promise Messiah.

Look at verse thirty seven and it says this, though

he had done many signs before them, they still not

believe in him, so that what the word was spoken

by the prophet Isaiah might be fulfilled. The Lord has

believed the Lord who has believed what he heard from us?

And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Therefore they could not believe for again, Isaiah says, he

has blinded their eyes and he's hardened their hearts. Least

they see with their eyes and understand what their hearts

in turn, And I were here heal them, Isaiah says

in verse forty one. I mean, John says in verse

forty one of Isaiah. Isaiah said these things because listen

what because he saw his glory and spoke of him. Listen,

John is declaring in his gospel. Listen to this is

very important. John is declaring in his gospel that the

glory of God that Isaiah saw was the same glory,

the same glory that Isaiah heard in Isaiah chapter six

after Isaiah died, was the same glory that was heard.

And listen to this and seen in Jesus. You know

what Isaiah's saying this morning? What was this this Messiah

promised to give? What was this gift of God that

was going to be given through Messiah? The gift of

God first this morning, the gift of God that he

gave through the promised Messiah was the promise gift of

God's glory. You recognize today what Isaiah saw. He saw

the very glory of God. He heard, the very glory

of God, that same glory dwelt in Jesus, the Messiah.

If you walk through scripture, if you just read through

the Gospel of John, starting to just chapter one, John

is constantly leading his readers to see the glory of

God that's found in Jesus. He describes that the Word

became flesh and dwelt among us. And in John one,

just the very first chapter of John, he's trying to

lead the Jews. He's trying to lead his readers to

see the glory of God that's found in Jesus. He

says in John chapter one, verse fourteen, very powerful pastor

of scripture, write it down market up next to chapter twelve.

In this passage, this is the way he says, the

Word became flesh, and listen to this, and dwelt among us,

and we have what we have seen, his glory, the

glory as the only son from the Father, full of

grace and truth. Listen, this promised gift, this messianic gift

that God was going to give you and I God

was given the Jews and the Gentiles, was the gift

of his glory. Listen, just as God revealed himself to Isaiah,

God sent his son Jesus, that he might reveal his

glory to you. And I not wonderful that we too

will behold his glory, that we might see his glory,

we might see his power, we might hear of his glory.

And thus believe. John continues to say, we have seen

his glory. But Isaiah was amazed by the glory of

God and what he heard and what he saw. As

you read John's gospel is what happens. People hear the

voice of God. They hear the voice of Jesus, and

they hear the glory of God. The Bible says Inuke

in Jesus' first sermon in Luke chapter four, verse thirty six,

he read the scroll and he spoke. And how did

the people respond that the hearing of Jesus preaches first sermon,

the Bible says in Luke four thirty six, and they

were all amazed, and says, and what is this word for?

With authority and power he commands the unclean spirits to

come out. It was the power of Jesus's words and

his first sermons that had the power to cast out

the demons. He had power to his words, the same

power that was in the words of the Seraphim that

cried out, Holy, Holy, Holy, the same power that he heard,

and the voice of God that shook the foundations of

the threshold was the same power in Jesus's words. Not

only were they amazed at what they heard from Jesus

and how he spoke and by his words he could

connect cast out the demons, but also throughout John's Gospel

and the other Gospels, we saw the power of Jesus.

Jesus had the power to cast out the demon possessed.

Jesus had the power to cast out the sickness and

heal all those from their diseases. He had power over nature.

And Mark chapter four, verse thirty five through forty one.

Remember the storm came upon the boat as they were

in the sea, a galilee, and they Jesus will sleep

on in the bottom of the boat. And they came roke,

woke up Jesus and said, Master, Master.

What shall we do? And the Bible says Jesus spoke,

be still, and diseased were still. Jesus had power over disease,

he had power over demons, He had power over all nature.

And in John chapter eleven, John records the greatest.

Of all of Jesus's powers, all of Jesus's miracles, and

how people saw not only they had heard the voice

and the power of the glory of Jesus, but they

also saw the power of Jesus and the glory of

God within him. Jesus' friend Lazarus Sores passes. In all

scripture is what Jesus wept, crying over his friend. His

friend is dead, and Jesus goes to the grave. He

tells him to roll the stone away and listen by

the power of his voice. He said these words in

John eleven four. But when Jesus heard it, he says,

this illness does not lead to death or is for

what it's for the glory of God, that the son

of Man may be glorified through it. He realized by

the demonstration of the miracle he would do at Lazarus,

he would receive the same glory that his father received

Sitting before as Isaiah saw him high and lifted up.

And then John in chapter eleven he said, Lazarus rise up,

and Lazarus came forth from the grave to demonstrate his power.

The power of Jesus's words and the glory of Jesus's power.

You know, it's you think about what it must have

been like to be with those disciples, what it must

have been like to be with them, and to see

the power of his voice. You've all heard great speakers

and great sermons, but can you imagine hearing the sermon

of Jesus, how much his word must speak to the

very hearts of people. That's what they said in God's word.

But only to see that, but see him raised it dead, hell,

the sick, the cast out demons. Oh, what it must

have been to see the glory of Jesus and the

glory of our God. You know, as we were this

week in Disney and we saw Josh Gad and it

was amazing just seeing people respond to seeing him there.

You know. You we were up on like a second

floor and he was on the floor below us, and

we were kind of like a balcony where you could

see and all the different things. And we noticed that

people are like starting to like come around him and

people are taking selfies with him, and you could tell

it's very nice, and he was very sceptive and very

welcoming to people. But people were amazed at his presence.

People were like, I said, getting pictures with him, and

but you know, he didn't really do anything. He was

just walking around. I think he came out of store

and a lot of people saw him. He didn't sing,

you know, one of his o lost songs. He didn't

sing one of the songs in Beauty and Bees because

he was also in Beauty and the Bees. He really

didn't do anything amazing, but people were amazed by Look

that's him. I'll pick up my girls a little bit

before I get me for this. But we got on

a little monorail, you know, which just travels you like

from like you know, stop to stop, and the girls,

one of the girls says, maybe he's on the monorail

right now. We could be on the same monorail as

Josh Goat. And I say that to say, people are

amazed by this celebrity and he didn't do anything. When

was the last time we were amazed by the power

of Jesus' words in our life? When was the last

time at Christmas as we were reminded of this Savior

that was born in a major that came that left

Heaven's thrown to dwell with you and I that we

might see his glory, that we might hear the power

of his voice, that we might see the power of

his power in our life, to deliver us from all

our sins, to deliver us from all our infirmities in

our life. When have we last been amazed by His

power and his voice in our life? It's vital at Christmas,

we recognize that Jesus is the gift of God's glory,

and we're amazed that he would come, that we might

see his glory. We might hear his glory, you know,

in this passage of scripture, and only this Isaiah want

us to see the promise of this Messiah, that he

would give the glory of God to his people, and

they would hear and they would see. He wants us

to see. Jesus is the glory of God. And that's

the same glory of God that I isaiahaole. But Isaiah

not only promised that Jesus would be the gift of

God's glory. Isaiah promised how you and I would respond,

how the people the Jews would respond. And that's much

of what John is saying in John chapter twelve. If

you go back with me to John chapter twelve, Jesus

has been speaking in chapter eleven. As I just mentioned,

Jesus has given the greatest demonstration of his power by

saying by healing Lazarus, but also the power of his

word by saying you. Notice, like in the healing of Lazarus,

he didn't go into the tomb and touch Lazarus. It

was by his power of his words that he raised

Lazarus from the dead. So it's not only the glory

of his his words, but also the glory of his

power that has demonstrated all with one healing of Lazarus

that happened in John chapter twelve, and is showing you

that's the greatest demonstration. The Jews basically have seen it all.

They have seen every aspect of the glory of Jesus.

They have heard every aspect of the glory of Jesus.

It was his final greatest miracle in chapter twelve. Jesus

then makes his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, where he spoke

to his disciples and his crowds in verse in John

twelve thirty five and turn back with me, it's just

a few verses ahead of where we started. Jesus kind

of gives a message to the crowds. It's the same

crowds who saw him hell Lazarus. Same crowds who saw

his power, saw his glory, the glory of his what

he's done, the glory of his words. And this is

what he says to them in verse thirty five. Look

with me, he says. So, Jesus said to them, the

light is among you. Let's say it this way. The

glory is among you. For a little while. Walk while

you have the light. At least the darkness take over you.

The ones who walks in darkness do not know where

he's going. But while you have the light, believe in

the light that you may become sons of light. Jesus

says to them, Listen the light. I'm the light of

the world. I'm hearing with you a little bit. I

don't how much time left. And while I'm here, believe

in me. You've heard the glory of You've seen the

glory of God in my words. You've seen the glory

of God in my power. While I'm here, believe. But

the Bible says in verse thirty six. The ending of

verse thirty six, when Jesus said these things, he departed

and he hid himself from them. And then verse thirty

seven is where we pick up. Look what happens. Though

he had done many signs before them listen to this,

they still did not believe in him. And from there

John attaches the prophecies of Isaiah, and these prophecies now

prophesied of how people will respond to the gift of

God's glory. The first response, and I want you to

see this as we continue on. The first response is

a promise of a rejection of God's gift. He promised

that they would be those who would hear, and there

would be those who would see, but there would be

those who would reject. He actually quotes look at the

passage of scripture in verse thirty eight, so that the

word was spoken by the prophet Isaiah might be for

filled the Lord, who had believed on what he had

he had heard from us, and to whom the arm

of the Lord had been revealed. This passage of scripture

is actually referencing Isaiah fifty three, verse one, and in

the original context of Isaiah fifty three, the reference is

made to the servant of the Lord that actually referenced

in Isaiah fifty two, and the serve of the Lord

is Jesus. It is the Messiah and this Messiah was

a messiah that's going to be rejected by his people.

But God who would exalt him? And so Isaiah says, hey,

I mean John says Isaiah said there was a servant there,

Messiah that was coming, and he was going to be

a servant of the Lord. But his people would reject him,

but God would exalt him. You've seen it. God has

exalted him. God has given him his power. God has

given him his glory. God has given him his words,

and God has exalted him. But his own people have

rejected him. Isaiah he quotes another passage of scripture, and

it is the Isaiah chapter six that we just looked

at verse ten, and we'll look at that together. He says.

Therefore it couldn't Therefore they could not believe. For again,

Isaiah says, he has blinded their eyes, he has hardened

their hearts. Least they see with their eyes and understand

with their hearts, and turn, and I would heal them.

Isaiah prophesied, and Isaiah six ' ten that people would

also see the same glory that he saw, that people

would hear the same glory that he heard. But there

would be people who would hear who would see, and

they would reject the gift. They reject what they would

hurt hear, they reject what they see, and they would

reject the gift of God's glory. You know, if you

think about Christmas, and we're definitely quickly coming up on

the Christmas season, and I'm sure you all are busy

about getting gifts. But you know, with every gift that

you buy and you give to someone, that person who

you give the gift to has a choice. They have

a choice that when you give them a gift, they

can reject their gift or they can accept it. Oh. Sure,

they may unwrap and this is lovely, I just love it.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. But then it doesn't

stop them from going home and like you know, taking

it back right or giving it away, rewrapping it. Oh,

this would be a great gift to give someone else,

and they just give it to someone else, and that's

ultimately rejecting the gift that you gave them. Or they

can accept that they can wear it, they can use

it or whatever. Right, it's a gift that it's a

decision that people make when you give them a gift,

but it's also a decision that you make when you

receive a gift or when you I'm sorry when you

not receive a gift. When you are given a gift,

you have a decision of whether you will reject that

gift or whether you will accept it, whether you will

regift it, or whether you'll keep it, or whether you'll

take it back. I tell you today, today we look

upon the word of God that one of the promises

of Isaiah, the promise of the Messiah, that God would

give you his gift of glory found in Jesus, and

that today listen, you would hear the voice of God.

You would hear the word of God. You have seen

through the word of God, that Jesus came in a manger,

that he lived, and he died on a cross for

your sins. That is the gift of God. For God

so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son,

that whoshoever believe in Him shall not perish, but have

what everlasting life. And just as you have a choice

to do what you're going to do with your Christmas gift,

you have a choice today of what you will do

with the gift of God's glory, what you would do

with Jesus, whether you accept him or whether you reject him.

You know, if you ever had those people at Christmas time,

you're like, they're the hardest person to buy a gift for.

It's so hard to buy gifts war what does it mean.

It's just like when you give them something, they just

they have never seemed happy with it, right, they always

take it back or they're always regifted, So they're hard

to buy. Let me tell you who the hard people

are about receiving the gift of God. You know, the

hardest people who often reject the gift of God. You

know who it is. It's religious. It's religious people. It's

church folk, people grew up in church. You know what,

because they've heard it all. They've seen it all. They've

seen every Christmas program, they've seen every heard every Christmas story,

and they've heard it and they've heard it and they've

heard it and they thought, oh, yeah, I've done something

with that in the past. I don't really need to

continue to be amazed with Jesus. I don't need to

continue to live my life here. I've done that in

the past. I've already have I've already have religion. Yeah,

you may have religion, but you may not ever receive Jesus.

I've always been amazed, Brandy. His dad went to Israel,

and he told me what amazing about Israel was not

only just the amazement of people of all the things

about seeing Jesus and all where Jesus lived and done.

He says, one of the amazing things that he saw

about that was in Israel was how the lostness was

in Israel. He said, the tour god that he had

was a Jew, and he could tell you everything about Jesus,

where Jesus performed his miracles, what miracles that Jesus did,

where Jesus spoke, and where he gave his great messages.

Yet although he knew, although he it's seen before himself,

where Jesus is wont where Jesus has done the miracle.

He did not believe in the Messiah. To be so

close listen, to be so close receiving a gift, but

yet so far away and rejecting the gospel. That's a

lot like many of you today, many of you here

today mean watching today. You're so close. You've heard it all,

you know what many of you know many of the

things about Jesus, but you've never accepted the gift of

God's glory. Listen scripture promise that this gift was come,

but he also promised that many will reject. Why would

they reject, because their hearts become heart to who Jesus

is today. If you hear his voice, were you receiving?

I want you see? Lastly, today, not only did Jesus say,

Not only was there a promise that the would be

those who reject the gospel, there'd be a rejection of

God's gift. But secondly the promise of how people would

respond to the gift be a promise of rejection. But

lastly there'll be a promise of reception of God's gift.

Look with me in verse forty four, and will close

here this morning. The Bible says that Jesus cried out,

whoever believes in me believes not in me, but in

him who sent me, And whoever sees me sees he

who sent me. I have come into this world as

a light, said that who's whoever believes in me may

not remain in darkness. If anyone hears my words and

does not keep them, I do not judge them, For

do not come into the world to judge the world,

but that save the world. You know, Jesus promise they'd

be those who reject him, but he also promised there

would be those who would believe in receiving. Who are

you today? What have you done with the gift of

God's glory? Have you rejected that gift? Or have you

accepted that gift? Today's today to decide? Choose today? On

Christmas no greater time of the year to recognize the

gift that came at Christmas. There's no other greater time

to decide what we're going to do with that gift.

May this be the here that, like Isaiah, we would

fall before our Lord and say, God, you are glorious. Jesus,

you are glorious. Your word is like no other word,

and your power is like no other power. And your

word says, if I believe in you, you came not

to judge me, but you came to save me. Today, Jesus,

I want to believe in you. I'm asked the band

to come forward and go into our time of invitation.

You know, we've always sived a bunch of gifts in

our lives, and a lot of great gifts know about you.

But one of the greatest gifts that I ever received

is his family. In particular. I had a godly grandfather.

His name was Jerlin Ear. He was a bi vocational pastor,

you know, and all the times I cherished of how

much he is a gifted me. One of the greatest

gifts that he ever gave me was prayer. I can

remember later on at the end of his life, he

really suffered. He had had a lot of health issues

and had chronic shingles and had nerve damage in his

ear from shingles, and he lived in constant pain from

the nerve damage in his ear. And I would travel,

especially during the holidays, and we would go see him,

and I remember just living in pain all the time.

But when I would come to see him, he didn't

talk about how much pain he was in His very

first thing he would tell me, he'd say, Jonathan, I

won't you know that I pray for you every day.

Pray for you and Brandy and Glory. He can never

say Chloe's name. He called her Glory, my oldest I

pray for you. And that's one of the greatest gifts

is prayer. Can I tell you he's one of the

greatest gifts you can give your family Christmas is praying

over them, but he would pray for me. He'd pray

that God would do a work in my life. You know.

Can I tell you today as we close, one of

the greatest gifts that God gave you is the gift

of Jesus and the gift of his glory, and the

gift that he wanted you to see his glory. Wanted

you to hear his glory. Listen, that you might believe,

but not only that you might believe, that you might

be with him one day in glory. Can I tell

you today as we close, Jesus wants a relationship with

you and on his last day on this earth. Can

I tell you one of the gifts he gave you

as Jesus prayed for you. You know that you know

what Jesus prayed in John seventeen when he prayed for you,

he prayed these words. Listen to this. He said this

in John seventeen. Father, I desire that they also in

whom you have given me, may be with me where

I am. Listen. Jesus wants you to be in heaven

with him one day, and this is what he says.

Why does he want you to be in heaven. Listen

to this. He gets really good here. I'll read it

again because I don't want to just catch it. I

want you to see it all together. Father. I desire

that they also, and whom you've given me, may be

with me where I am to see my glory that

you have given me because you loved me before the

foundation of the world. Listen today, as we finish, one

of the greatest gifts that God ever gave you was

he gave you Jesus. He gave you the ability today

to hear the word of God. He gave you the

ability today to see the word of God, that by

hearing and by seeing, you might believe in His only Son,

and that you will believe in Him and have salvation,

have eternal life, that one day, when Jesus comes again,

that he would take you under himself, and he would

take you to heaven, that you might be with him

in heaven, and that you might see his form glory.

I love the imagery that Isaiah got to see the

glory of God. Do you have a longing to see

the glory of Jesus in heaven? Would you say today

this as we end this service? Lord, Lord, help me

believe in you. Help me be amazed by your word,

and help me be amazed by your power this Christmas.

If you're a believer, don't let me go through entire

Christmas season where I make Christmas all about my glory,

not about your glory. You make that your prayer this

morning and today. If you've never sent to Jesus as

your Lord and savior, will today be the day that

you received the gift of God's glory. I love to

talk to you about how you can do that. Will

you stand with me and let's pray together. Lord. I

love you. I thank your Lord for this morning. I

thank you Lord for your word. God. I thank you

the gift of your son, Jesus. God. I thank you

that you wanted us to see his glory, the glory

of his word, the glory of his power. Lord. Today

I pray that we have heard. I pray that we

have seen, and I pray today we will believe, we'll

receieve Lord, your gift and whether a believer here today,

and I pray that today would be a season when

we start at Christmas where we cherish the gift of

your glory. Lord, we long for your glory to be

amazed at your glory more than we want our glory

at Christmas. So Lord, lead us to surrender. Lord to you, Lord,

I pray that be those today that has heard have

seen them. Maybe they never accepted Lord, your free gift

of salvation. You came not to judge, but you came

to save, as your word says. And i'd pray there

be people to hear today that would received your gift

of salvation today, who would believe in you. Lord. I

pray you lead us in this time invitation that something

did come to this altar. Lord, I pray that you

lead them to do that. Lord. However you lead us, Lord,

I pray that we respond. Lord, to you now in

your name we pray Amen, jsus pain and all to

him
