Father, I pray for an anointing up on her now

to share with us the heartbeat of heaven. Father, let

our hearts be open, let our ears be open. Let

us be ready, Lord to hear something we've never heard

before in Jesus' name.

Amen. Amen, Amen, Thank you, Dave, and thank you everyone.

Good morning. How are you doing today? Why don't you

turn around and tell your friend it's great that you're here.

It's great. It isn't listen it? Okay, very good? All right,

So well, and today as we have been listening through

the songs and what they have shared, today is a

very special day. Well, every day is a special day

in the Lord, but today has a special meaning because

it is Pentecost Sunday, and Pentecost means the Greek says

Penta means fifty okay, And in the Jewish, in the

Jewish festivals, the pentacus was fifty days after the Passover, okay,

So there was already a pentacus that it was there

for us as Christians. It has another different meaning now

because it is fifty days after Easter, meaning when the

Lord has been offered as the lamp for all of

our sines. I mean so it is fifty days after that,

and that is where we are now celebrating that situation.

But let's get started and just let me just do

a brief prayer. Lord, thank you so much, open our hearts,

our ears, and help us to be recipients of your

Holy Spirit. Whatever you want to do in our lives today.

Thank you Lord, in the name of Jesus. I pray.

So you know that the Lord was here, we went

through Easter. We know exactly what happened the resurrection. But

before he left, he gave a promise to the disciples,

and he said that they will receive a comforter, someone

who was going to be I mean, not a replacement.

But they were concerned that the Lord Jesus was going

to be away, and then he advised them that he

will send someone else, and someone else was going to

be the Holy Spirit I mean. So let's read what

the promise was all about. If we go then now

into the Book of Acts, that is where we are

going to find and now well it is and Acts

one eight and it says, but you will receive power

when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will

be my weakness in Jerusalem and in all Judea, in

Samaria and to the ends of the earth. It was

a big promise, right, it was a big promise. Perhaps

they didn't understand exactly what that means, that I will

receive the power. What does that really mean? Does that

mean that I'm going to have money, power, arms, or horses?

I don't know. But the Lord knew what exactly he

was talking about when he said the Holy Spirit comes

on you. So that was the promise. And guess what.

The Lord fulfilled his promises because he's not a man

to say lies. He really when he says something, He

really fulfilled those promises a man. So in this case,

that particular promise was fulfilled. Let's read exactly how it

was fulfilled. So let's continue working and bear with me,

because what I would like you to do today is

like going into a tour. We have alread this, or

perhaps most of us have read these verses, but I

really would like you to go in your mind to

the very present moment when the holyp it had been

poured upon all the disciples. And just imagine, you know,

when someone reads to us a book for children, our

imagination goes and think about that, and we picture that

I would like you to do exactly the same thing today.

Just picture what had been happening in that precise moment.

So let's go to now and to the Book of Acts,

chapter two, verse one to four. When the day of

Pentecos came, they were all together in one place, and

that is important. They were all together in one place.

And why was that? They said, well, it was great.

The reality is that they were afraid, you know, after

all the persecution and all what was going on. For sure,

they were afraid, but they knew the Lord had advised

them that they had to be together. So they were

in one place, like we are this room Stross College.

We are here, one place, all together. So that is

exactly how they had been. And then it says, suddenly

a sound like the blwing of a violent wind came

from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting.

It's easy to think about that, but imagine now all

of the sudden are very blowing out wind strong that

all of the sudden, perhaps all the windows and everything

starts opening, and we will be perhaps afraid, what's going on,

what's happening? What is that wind? But there was a strong,

violent wind. So the Holy Spirit didn't come quietly. He

came with power, and he came from heaven, and he,

the Holy Spirit filled the whole house. There was not

a single space where that wind, with that power was

not present. So everything was just immediately filled with his presence.

Imagine the same thing here. We're just here all together,

and if the Holy Spirit will come like that in

a minute, that would be great. Then it reads they

saw what seemed to be tones of fire that separated

and came to rest on each of them. We had

been singing, rest on us, rest on us, and that's

exactly what happened when the Holy Spirit came. All of

the sudden day saw like fire. But that fire immediately

started like getting tones of fire, like if they were

just splitting, and one little one of those were resting

on each one of them, So that powerful fire was

shared amongst all the people that were there, So it

was not just for one, it was for absolutely everyone,

and it was resting on each of them. I mean,

then we say all of them were filled with the

Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as

the Spirit enabled them. So all of the sudden, that

place was like going crazy. You know, you can imagine

everybody started talking and speaking and shouting, and well they

imagine what it is the feeling of feeling our hearts,

our souls with the Holy Spirit. We want to shout,

we want to dance, we want to wrong, we want

to do, we want to hog other people, we want

to do all sorts of things, because the power of

the Holy Spirit is so great. So that is exactly

what they were feeling. And all of the sudden, so

many different languages were spoken, and the Lord was really

in the midst of everything because he wanted that to

happen like that. I mean, it was not just a

miracle that happened that nobody were talking, but it was

a mission in itself that was going to happen in

that case. So well, the promise in that verse was fulfilled.

Pentecouse is the fulfillment of the promise. The Spirit came

not quietly, but with power, with wine, with fire, and

with everything we needed just to move forward. I mean,

so God keeps his promises. The Holy Spirit is not

just for the old Church. It is for these days,

for our church, for our cf. It is not a

promise that has been forgotten. It is a promise that

it is actually for us today. I mean, so my

question for you today is are we waiting expectantly for

God to move in the midst of our congregation? I

believe so, Amen, And we have to do Now let's

continue because it didn't finish there. We have the power

for witness. And at the very beginning, the title of

what we were going to speak was empowerment for purpose.

So that empowerment, that Holy Spirit, that promise of the

Holy Speed, didn't come just like, ah, by the way,

you will have something with that. No, there was a

purpose in itself for that empowerment to come to you

and to me. I mean, there was something special that

Jesus Christ came from heaven to fulfill a mission. But

the mission didn't finish there. So after he left, he

was empowering every single one of the twelve Disciples and

more to do exactly what he had done to show

the love of God, to exactly share what he was

witness in the power of what the Lord has done.

So now through the Holy Spirit is that he was

going to do that mission, accomplished that mission with everybody else.

So now we have power for witness. And let's read

in Acts Chapter two, verse five, to eleven. Now there

were staying in Jerusalem, God feeding juice from every nation

under heaven. When they heard this sound, a crowd came

together in bewilderment because each one heard their own language

being spoken. Utterly amazed, they ask, are you all these

who are speaking Galileans? Then? How is it that each

of us hears them in our native language? Parthians, Meads, Ilamites,

residents of Mesopotamia, Judea, Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, Rgia and Panphilia,

Egypt and the parts of Libya or Syeni, visitors from Rome,

both Jews and converge to Judaism, Cretans and Arabs. We

hear them declaring the wonders of God in our own tongues.

Wasn't that amazing? All of a sudden, all the people

that were there talking in different tongues, et cetera. Perhaps

some of them didn't understand what was happening or what

was being said. But these people that were just passing by,

they said that they were Jews from every nation under heaven.

Imagine that Jews that were from every nation from under

the heaven. So that means that several nations were represented

and we have read a very difficulty from my side

because English is not my native language. But we could

read how many different countries, how many different nations were

represented there, that they all of the sudden, herd Arabs, urittens,

all of them, that they were not really expecting to

hear their native language in that place. But guess what,

they were so excited that they had came rushing coming together.

It's like we are here and all of the sudden

that is happening here. Imagine the people from the coffee

coffee shops and around and all of a sudden, what

is going on in that place? Let's go, I can't

hear my native language, so they can come and they

can speak and hear. Just think about it, how many

different language we have represented here. Can you shout your

country please? You can? Zambia, Yeah, Tanzania, England, India, Persia,

that Mexico come in. Whoa, imagine that's Ghana. Wow, that

is amazing, isn't it so? Well? Think about this. This

is not just a coincidence that RCF has a mixture

of so many nations, nationalities, cultures, and all of us

are here because one purpose. We love the Lord Jesus

we have believed in him. We want to do what

he wants us to do. We want to fulfill the promise,

we want to do the commission. We want to be

in this place being a blessing. We will be sharing

later on about the blessings that we had in Love

egga mission last week. And actually that was just a

glimpse of what the Lord Jesus wants us to do,

wants us to be for the community that we are

living here, and we can see it is our school.

I love that song that our worship ting was singing everywhere.

I was just ticking all the different places and all

of them were ticked school Boss, the cue in everywhere

we want, at the bank, at the supermarket, well, every

part of our lives, the Lord is there and we

have a mission filled in every single part of those

because that is exactly what the Lord wants us to be.

He wants us to be light. He wants us to

be the flavor of this earth. He wants us to

share with others what the Lord has done for us.

Sometimes we are really afraid, how am I going to

speak to people? And when someone says let's do evangelism,

Oh no, I don't do that. I don't do evangelism,

but in reality, evangelism is exactly what we should be

doing in our day to day life. And it doesn't

have to be a three or five point sermon. It

is just shedding about what the Lord has done for you,

what the Lord has done for me. I am pretty

sure that we all that are hit in this place

have at least one or two miracles that the Lord

has done very powerful in our lives, and we can

share about that. We can share about what the Love

of God has done in our lives and how we

have been transformed by His power, by his love, and

that is exactly what the Lord wants us to do.

I mean, so when we are talking about that power

for weakness, it is that we need to remember that

the Spirit enable the disciples to speak in other languages,

to reach out to people from every nation. And again,

this wasn't just a miracle, it was a mission in itself.

I mean. So the Holy Spirit empowers us to be

witness in our communities and beyond. So let's use our

gifts to reach out to others. I mean, let's continue.

The next one is unity in diversity. We have been

talking about how diverse our church is, and something that

the Lord is showing us is that he really wants

us to work and live in unity, not in uniformity.

I should be clear, because the Lord loves our individual characters,

our individual gives, our individual nature. He made us I

mean differently, in different sizes, in different colors, in different skills,

different everything. He made us like that, and because he

made us like that, he rejoices with the diversity I

reckon when the Lord was saying, and the Lord said,

everything is good, and he was looking at goodness me.

I made so many different nations and ways of doing

things and our own nature according to where we have lived.

He was rejoiced and we have to build on that.

We need all to feel proud of where we come from. Then,

the way that the Lord made us, the things that

he gave us, the skills that he had allow us

to do, and because not all have the same things,

I really have a lot of respect for our worship

team that they know how to play and sing. I

am not in that area, but perhaps the Lord has

something different for me. And I also always recognized that

Julia was in the first place in the queue when

the Lord was giving away the cooking and baking skills.

So she was there so she got it all. I

was in the last the queue. But it was amazing

how the Lord gives each one of us with different things,

and each one of us can dedicate that to serve

and bless the community. Thinking also about Sean Sean with

that heart that she has to bring people together at

the place in Egham, I mean just trying to bring

them to work together, to have fun, to get to

know each other, for those that are in isolation, to

feel that they belong to somewhere, and that is a

key for sure. And what about Juliet, she just came

from Uganda with a big heart and the vision that

she had. I mean to open that orphanage in Jinja, Uganda.

I mean to give shelter and food and education to

those children. So the Lord is amazing in the way

that he had given us different things. So we shall

not give those for granted, because there is a purpose.

The Lord didn't give them to us that way. Just

to okay, I will keep it high hidden, I will

keep it that no one knows. No. Sometimes, yes, sometimes

I am afraid that as soon as I speak, they

notice my Latin accent and say where are you coming from? Okay, Well,

after twenty two years, my Latin accent still is showing

that I'm not from here. But it is a blessing,

you know, because in that case, that gives me opportunity

to say, yes, I'm from Mexico. What are you doing here? Well?

And I start giving a bit of a story that

I have been given here because of work, but because

the Lord had a different purpose for me, and talk

about our ef et cetera. So the Lord always gives

us a little bit of an opportunity just to speak,

just to share and to provide a bit of love

of what the Lord does for us. So think about

this unity in diversity. And the Lord doesn't want us

to be uniform in terms of all the same color,

all the same language, all the same size, all the

same No, he wants us exactly how we are I mean.

And that is the richness of the church that the

Law has been building. I mean. So the crowd what

we were talking about, was diverse. They heard the same

message in their own language. The Spirit brings unity without uniformity,

as we said, the church and we can go to

the next one. Well not yet, so let me just

read one more. It says, Amazed and perplexed, they ask

one another what does this mean? Some, however, made fun

of them and said they have had too much wine.

Just imagine, have you seen someone has been drunk. They

are behaving a bit like wobbly and shouting and all

sorts of things. Well, these people thought that the ones

that were inside they perhaps were drunk they have had

too much wine because of all what they had been listening.

But in reality, you have Thatchaday were so full of

the Holy Spirit that they wanted to make noise, They

wanted to shout, they wanted to make aware about what

was happening there. So in that case, that is exactly

what the Lord wants is for us. So the next one,

that is exactly how we can see our church. The

church is called to be a spirit feel multicultural and

united body, I mean, and for us to meditate on today,

are we embracing the diversity of God's kingdom? Can we

really feel like that is exactly how the Lord has

thought and plan for his church and we are CEF.

Just look around the number of flags, the number of

flags that we represent from our CEF, and it has

been all over the years as well. Perhaps today we

don't have all the people that are on those flags represented,

but over the years since I remember that I arrived

to run him Christian Fellowship in two thousand and two,

well there was a reason to buy one flag for

each country because they were represented in our community. So

today just it is Pentecostal Sunday, Pentecost Sunday, and for

us it is something that we just need to allow

the Lord to bring again. And the Holy Spirit is

not that shows up one day and forgets about it.

He is with us every day. But it depends on

us if we open the door, if we spend time

just to be aware, because it is not that he

is not there, It is that we are not aware

when he is just operating to us. It is that

we do not recognize when the Lord brings us an

opportunity to speak to someone. It is not always that

we are are just there to say, Okay, this is

my mission, feel, this is my moment, this is my time.

This is how I can fulfill the Lord's purpose in me.

And this is the reason why the Holy Spirit is

resting on me to speak in my own language, in

my own tongue, or even if it is not my

own tongue, on my own language, that others will learn

through me what the Lord has done in my life. Amen.

So today, as we were singing that last song, I

would like us to just meditate on that. And because

we need to remember the last verse that we have

for this morning is the Great Commission. Amen. So all

what the Lord came to do and showing us and

everything and suffering and raising from death, et cetera, was

with one purpose that we may know the love of God,

that we may be wiedness of who the Lord is

and receiving his Holy speeded is for us to be

empowered to do that. So the mission Jesus christ mission

didn't end when he went to heaven. It is still

here every day. So think about this. Can we I mean,

expand the Kingdom of God with those that speak the

same language that we do, or even in English here

I mean we can actually talk to them, share the

love of God and be doing tick. Every time that

we say, Lord, I have done one more, the Lord

wants us and I always remember something that I heard

before this, Each one, rich one, if at least we

would do with that, each one, rich one, imagine how

many people will be saved, how many people will get

to know about the Lord. Sometimes we can say it

is too much work. Lord, I can't change the world,

but we can change one life. And if after sharing

our love, our testimony, testimony, our being witnessed to them

about what the Lord is, if we reach out and

gain that soul for the Lord, I think, Wow, then

that person can do the same and the same, and

then it will become exponential, because it is not just arithmetically,

it is exponentially. In that case. Amen, So well, today,

if we can ask our worship team to come again

to sing again that song, the last one that we

were singing about the Spirit of God resting on us,

and I will ask you everyone, just think about it

again when you sing it, think about how the Spirit

of God can rest on you, and you can make

the Son rest on me because we want it. You

may need perhaps just a refresh of the Holy Spirit

touch today, or perhaps you have been living in the

Holy Spirit. I mean strongly there's no need to, but

perhaps there is. Or if you have never felled the

touch of the Spirit, because that could happen again. In

my case, I was Christian for so many years and

the Holy Spirit had not came to me until one day,

and when that happened, the whole thing changed. So that

is how we can ask the Lord today, please touch me,

fellows on you, or touch me for the first time

and feel me so I can be empowered to meet

the commission, to fulfill the commission that he asked us

to do. I mean, let's sing, let's a stand up
