13th September - Prophetic Conference - Clem Ferris - Session 2

We're sharing. We'll take a little bit of time at

the end of the day for some Q and A

if you haven't, if you want to write them down now,

then we can expedite that. But happy to answer some questions.

So here we go this next session. I had to

read it. Make sure we talking about, you know, sharing

our faith, finding our voice to share our faith. Boldness

rooted in revelation. I like that. So we're first going

to talk about boldness, and then we're going to talk

about this everyday evangelism and prophetic encouragement. I love that,

just having the faith just to speak in love, and

that's remembered. I think the way we started this, this

whole thing centers around the love of God. God loves people.

God so loved the world right, and boy, that's what's

really under attack, you know, the displaying the love of

God into a broken world. So this time the topic

is just simply this. It's a prayer. Ready, it's dangerous.

I gonna want a little danger. Here's the prayer, Lord

make me bold. Let's try that together. Ready, Lord make

me bold. You just said it. Now, that's a dangerous prayer.

He heard it, and he's going to help us. So boldness.

I don't have slices for this, but we got some scriptures.

Jonathan's going to do his magic over there. Boldness is

first of all, it's a mark of spiritual empowerment. It's

spirit empowerment. Doesn't come from your personality. That's a misnomer.

We often think, well, you know, they're just bold, have

a bold personality, and some people have a bold personality.

But spiritual boldness is spirit empowerment. And here's the thing.

It's most often granted in response to our prayers. That's

why you can actually pray, God make me bold. Some

people are naturally shy, timid. You have the whole thing

about introvert, extrovert all that. I found out a new word.

Actually my wife found it recently. I don't know if

you ever heard of ambivert. Have you? All the ambiverts

are shaking their head because now I know what I am,

because like I I was always torn. You're a little

bit of both anyway, So this whole The Greek word

for boldness is parasa parisia. It means assurance, confidence. And

by the way, I have this all printed out, so

just chill. I want to wunt you to enjoy today,

not work so hard. I'll do the work you just receive, okay,

And I'll get this document to David who'll get it out.

So assurance confidence to be frank in utterance, to be frank,

or to be confident in spirit and demeanor. This is

all that one word, paraceea. So the idea of the

Holy Spirit making us bold. Okay, I want to take

us to Acts chapter four. Well, first let's go to

Ask three and how it ramps up into the Early Church.

Because here you got the Early Church brand new believers

had been the Bible College. Don't you have a Bible?

I got the Old Testament. But there's so much that

began to happen when the Holy Spirit came. So in

Acts chapter three we know the Holy Spirit was poured

out in Acts chapter two, and so in xt chapter

three we have this. We have a healing, then we

have a trial, and then we have imprisonment of the

early believers. It's like, you know, when you sign up

for the church, they didn't know what they were getting.

So in Acts chapter three, just real quickly have the

healing of this this lame man. Peter and John were

going up to the temple at the hour of prayer,

a man lame from birth was being carried when they

laid the daily at the gate at the temple. This

is called the Beautiful Gate, to seek alms of those entering.

Seeing Peter and John about to go to the temple,

he asked to receive alms, and Peter directed his gaze

at him, as did John, and said, look at us. Now.

That was that took boldness, That took an assurance, like

what you're begging for money. The Holy Spirit triggered something

in James and John, who were used to going up

to prayer. Everybody saw this guy. They knew who this

guy was, said look at us, and he fixes his

attention on them, expecting to receive something from them. And

Peter said, I have no silver and gold. You know

the story. But what I do have I give you.

Now this is where the boldness comes. Something triggered in him.

Holy Spirit, in the name of Jesus Christ, rise up

and walks. That takes boldness. I've prayed for the sick before.

Sometimes I'm just like, it takes so much faith because

all of us inside had this fear like what if

it doesn't work? And then well then you have to say,

was your reputation on the line or Jesus, you know,

we have to work through the psychological part of it.

But they just were filled with the Holy Spirit. Something

was happening, and we know what happened. He got healed.

He went from a beggar to a proclaimer. Right, so

you have this healing, well, then you have this trial.

So now the trial comes and they're thrown in prison.

And so I love and now we go to chapter four.

This is what happens, which I think is this boldness

thing when when I'm going to go verse five four five.

On the next day of the rulers and elders and

scribes gathered in Jerusalem with Ans, the high priest Caiphus, John, Alexander,

all those when they set them in the midst they

inquired to the James and John by what power or

what name did you do this? How did you pull

this off? Because if we'd got out real quick, here's

a guy everybody knew was lak from birth and he's

been healed. Right, you notice what he said, by what power?

And what we all we had to redefine power this morning,

didn't we like? What kind of love you got? Rights?

What's running in you that wasn't there before? And by

what name did you do this? Then watch here's how

Luke wrote this. Particularly then, Peter, what filled with the

Holy Spirit? We can't miss those moments when when Luke's

writing the Book of Acts, how he emphasizes, this is

the Holy Spirit at work. This is this is the

acts of the Holy Spirit. I'd like to say, then,

Peter filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, rulers

of the people and elders, if if we're being examined

today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man,

by what means this man has been healed? Let it

be known to all of you and all the people

know that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nandreth,

whom you crucified. Oh, he's getting bold now by the way,

who you crucified, whom God raised from the dead by him.

This man is standing before you. Who is Peter confident

in the acts of Jesus, The Holy Spirit and all

the Holy Spirit is just witnessing. You shall be my

witnesses when the Holy Spirit comes upon. He's just witnessing

to who Christ is, that's all, and what you did

to him? So I love that this Jesus is the

stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which had

become the cornerstone. And there's salvation and no one else.

I love verse thirteen. What do they observe when they

saw the boldness of Peter and John? They saw it.

It can be perceived, and they perceived that they were

uneducated common men. That's a kind way of saying, like

Clem said, they're idiots, because it's the word common is

idiotastes in the Greek is where we get the word idiot. Really,

they're saying, these guys are uneducated idiots. They were astonished,

and they recognized they'd been with Jesus. So it's like,

first of all, they say, by what authority? You know?

Where's your authority come from? To speak this way? Come

from the Holy Spirit. See, the Holy Spirit can give

you boldness to say things you wouldn't normally say. And

then people are amazed. People are amazed by these guys,

ordinary ignorant men. So I have a question for all

of us, do you ever amaze anybody with your boldness?

Have you had any friends come and go? You know,

I'm just amazed the things you say when the Holy

Spirit moves in you. He'll make you bold, but you

won't know until you try. See, we think we got

to have boldness rise up within us, and then we

have a say, an unction to function right. But sometimes

you just got to You got to speak out. It's

like prophesying to speak on behalf of God. You've got

to say I'm going to do it by faith. I'm

just going to say it. It's coming. I'm going to

say it. And once you do, you tap the flow

of the Holy Spirit in you. It's not a personality trait,

it's not the way you're wired. I think if you

look at Peter and John, two different personalities, we see

the way Peter did things and John was the beloved

late on Jesus chest and Peter's tearing off his tunic

and jumping in the water. So I mean, there are

different kind of guys. But we see then something happens

to the church. If we look at the prayer meeting

starts in verse twenty three, Peter and John get out

of prison amazingly. So when they were released, they went

to the friends and reported what the chief priests and

eldest had said to them. And when they heard it,

they lifted their voices together to God and said, now

here's a filter. We talked about filters we need in place.

Their theological filter set the tone for the one of

the first prayer meetings of the church. First words, Sovereign Lord.

They went right into sovereignty. Here's a baby church being

already being persecuted. They're leaders, are thrown in jail, but

there's been a healing. Something's happening. The Holy Ghost, they're

speaking in times, all this is happening, and they realized

this is sovereignty and action. I love that sovereign dispotacy

in the Greek unrestricted power, absolute dominion. That's the God.

We serve, no restraints. Sovereign Lord, who made the heaven.

And then they just capitalize on who made the heaven

and the earth to see everything in the who through

the mouth of our father, David said, by the Holy Spirit.

Now they go Holy Spirit again, and then they quote

Palm to he says, for truly in this city that

were gathered together against your Holy Servant Jesus, whom you

anointed herod, conscious pilot, along with the gentiles and the

people of Israel. Watch this is how they're praying back

to God history, and it's good sometimes to pray history

back with God to remind you of how sovereign he is.

This is what you did for David. This is what

you did through nothing. He's talking about how the sovereign

God worked through unregenerated men. I love this, you anointed.

I love this Jesus. And we're gathered in the city Herod,

ponscious pilot, the gentiles, people of Israel, watch to do

whatever your hand and your plan had predestined to take place.

What a prayer for a baby church. Baby believers never

been to Bible school, but here they are. You can

see when you start praying this way, you get boldness.

You start literally pontificating the sovereignty of God in our worship.

It's important we do that in our worship songs. And

then this is how they're praying. And now, Lord, I

love this verse twenty nine. Now Lord, look upon their threats.

They're being persecuted. They could go to y'all. They're still

crucifying people in the streets. It's not like the slatest

white point Jesus rose from the dead. Everything's fine now,

No Rome is still breathing down their necks. Look upon

their threats and make it all go away. You protect

us and hide us in a cave until this all

blows over. No, that's not how they prayed. Look upon

their threats. Grant to your servants to continue to speak

your word with all boldness. They're not afraid. They might

be afraid, but they're not speaking that way. While you

stretch out your hand to heal, and signs and wonders

are performed through the name of your Holy Servant, Jesus,

I love this. And when they had prayed, by the way,

guess what word that is deayomi. That's for supplication. See,

you cannot only pour out your problems. You can pour

out the sovereignty of God or your situation. When they

had supplicated, the place in which they were gathered was shaken. Said,

we all want that, we all want to meet, and

we see it once again. We were fascinated by phenomena

and not principle, the principles. Here they went sovereign in

a time of persecution and said, God, give us boldness.

That's what we want. The place was shaken. They were

all filled with the Holy Spirit and continued watch to

speak the word of God with what boldness, Lord make

me bold. Right by the way, cheat, go to the

very last chapter of Acts X twenty eight x twenty

eight end of the book Paul's story verse thirty thirty

one versus he lived there two whole years at his

own expense, and welcomed all who came to him, proclaiming

the Kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus

Christ with all boldness without hindrance. That's the end of

the Book of Acts. It ends with It starts with boldness,

It ends with boldness, and even Paul's own life. Great

great way to finish that. So that's a dangerous prayer,

Lord make me bold. So three attributes. I'll call it

of boldness. Number one. Boldness almost always triggers spiritual opposition.

Isn't that exciting? I told you it's a dangerous prayer,

but you already I tricked you. You already prayed it.

We have it on film. Anyway, there will be a

triggering of spiritual opposition because the devil thinks he's he's

in control and he's the bold one, and he's making

the calls. And then you do something like they did

in the Book of Acts. He's going, oh, Oh, there

they go. Sovereignty again like ah, so acts chapter five.

Now you have the apostles arrested, put in prison. You

know the world, the world is creating spiritual prisons. They're

trying to capture what we believe and put us in

prison for what we believe, by words, by voices, by websites,

by you name it, so h chapter five, I'll see

you pick it up. In verse seventeen. But the High

Priest rose up, and all who were with him, that

is the part of the same sadducees, and filled. Now

you can be filled with other stuff. They were filled

with the Holy spirit. They were filled with jealousy. They

arrested the apostles, put them in the public prison. But

during the night an angel of the Lord opened the

prison doors and brought them out and said, go and

stand in the temple to speak. There's the voice again.

Can't shut down the voice. They put him. They're trying

to imprison our voice. Good luck. If God has to,

he'll send an angel. Right. But see how their boldness

triggered oppositions. Let's put them in prison. Let's capture them

and put them in prison. Go and stand in the

temple and speak to the people all the words of

this life. And when they heard this, they entered the

temple at daybreak and they began to teach. I mean,

that's boldness. You think I got out of prison. I'm

going to go hide, I'm going to go run. I

don't want any more of this life. Right, what do

they do? Let's go back and do it again. I

love that. So can't lock up the gospel as long

as we keep speaking it right. So a second attribute

of boldness. Boldness often will release God's miracles. That's exciting.

That's called good motivation. During the night, an angel of

the Lord opened the prison doors and brought them out.

Why because they were bold. They had been bold, and

they knew they were opposition more bold, God says, good angels,

go get him out of there. If they just sat

in prison and whined and cried and said we're never

doing this again, I don't think an angel would have

showed up. But they said, let us out of here,

We'll go do it again. Oh, angels love it. So

I just think it's you know, Luke's writing this. The

apostles arrested, they rose up against them and all that,

and one verse no big deal. You know it meant no.

They were seeing in the night, the Lord opened the

prison doors, brought him out, and then they went and

what look just one little dry report of an angel

coming and opening prison doors. That doesn't happen, No big deal.

And then the faith to speak again, boldness always requires faith.

That's what I said. When you say, Lord, make me bold,

then you say and give me faith to be bold.

Because behind that is it's like, Lord, make me prophesy.

But the Bible says you prophesy according to the proportion

of your faith, almost twelve to six. So it requires faith,

which is God's word was designed for action. So that

what they did is they went and they stood. They

see the Angel said go and stand in the temple

and speak to all the people. And so when they

heard this they said, no way, Jose, I'm not going

back in there. No, they said, okay, we'll do it

faith boldness. So sometimes God will prompt you, he'll speak

to you, they'll challenge you, sometimes even by others. That's

what preaching on Sunday helps inspire, challenge and all that,

and a lot of it is to get us just

keep moving us out of our comfort zone because we're

all comfort creatures. Leave me alone and let me have

my comfortable life. Right. Not so, if you're going to

be Bible people, how would you start in boldness? Where

do you want boldness to affect your life the most?

I would say, in your own sin? Can you confront

your own sin? It's pretty easy to confront other people's sin,

isn't it. You know what they did? You know what

they did? Yeah, you know what they didn't. Suddenly work

got the gossip machine going because it's so easy to

talk about other people's weakness and sin and they're falling

short and all that. How are you doing well? God

knows my heart, I get a pass. Nobody else does.

See You're only as strong as you are honest, and

so start privately. Let me say this way, where does

boldness start? Start privately? Start with you and God, say, God,

give me boldness? What to confess my own sin? To

be real with me? Like when Clem said, you're such

an idiot, and he goes, no, I'm not gonna call you.

It's like, I can be real with the way I

even see myself. But how about taking the next step?

If you're sincere with God about where you're falling? Short,

it might lead you to apologize to somebody you never

wanted to pologized to. That's called humility. God gives grace

to the humble. See when you you say I want boldness,

at the same time you're saying I need grace to

be bold. It's faith and grace and it takes humility.

Humility is our superpower. You can you can quench an argument,

you can stop an argument, you can diffuse a situation

with humility. Because boldness, all boldness, let me say this

is all all boldness is grounded in forgiveness. What makes

us bold about Christ is the fact that we've been

forgiven all boldness. Why that's those early disciples, why'd they

do that? Had such a revelation of they've been forgiven

and been filled with the Holy Spirit. David god Old,

Psalm fifty one, right, no condemnation, Romans eight. I call

it this way forgiveness. It's the salt mine of biblical boldness,

because we're the salt of the earth. But the salts

has to be dug out. We have to go into

the salt mine. And when you forgive, you become saltier,

you become the salt of the earth. So then you

might be Once you confront yourself, then I think you'll

have boldness to help someone else confront themselves. You can

confront in love, Come on, somebody in love, and then

you might want to stand for truth somewhere where you

haven't stood for truth before. See, this is all progress

of what's happening on the inside of you to become

an external witness. Give us what boldness to speak your word,

not boldness to be arrogant and prideful and stand up

for my Christian And it's like boldness to speak the

truth and love right, stand for some truth somewhere, not

just on social media. That's easy. That's a cop out,

anonymous posting, you know, which should lead you to then

share Christ with someone. He is the way the truth

in the life. This is where this all has to

lead to. Somehow our witness gets better and stronger. Grant

to your servants boldness. I love their prayer to speak

your word with all boldness confidence. I love that. Well.

You go ahead and stretch out your hand to heal.

If you want, you can use my hand, but God

bring going to trust you to heal. This is the

way they prayed. When they prayed the place was shaken,

and they continue to speak with boldness, which leads to

what I would say, then, just start by praying for people.

People want prayer like never before. This thing we call

the Quiet Revival and other things are happening around the world.

It's a result of I think years of prayer. My

friend Julian Richards, who leads New Wine Whales, when he

first got out of Bible School thirty forty years ago,

he did what they call open air campaigns and street evangelism.

He said it was so hard. We know the Welsh

are really hard anyway, but I'm picking up nobody. He said,

it was so hard. People would reject the gospel, getting mad,

cuss spit, rip up tracks, throw them down. I mean,

he said it was so hard. But they've had a

great move in Wales over the last number of years.

New One has been part of that, and a lot

of it is because of the prayers. And he said,

Julian just said it this. He goes, people are softer

now and they actually they want prayer. And even if

they don't want the gospel, he said, most people are

saying thank you because they reject the gospel, but they

thank you for sharing that something's happening in the softening

of the hearts of people. Right, and prayer, I think

does that? And people want prayer, they don't. They don't

have answers, they don't know who to talk to, they

don't have a relationship with God. So when you become

the relationship that they're craving, do you mind if I

pray for you? Go ahead, pray for someone. So I

was in an elevator in a hotel in Florida. It

was I think it was either during COVID. Still we're

wearing masks, I think. And social distancing, remember that one

y'all are sitting too closest, Social distancing, all that, all

that stuff. Anyway, So I get in the elevator and

the doors are closing and then they pop open. Well,

there was another man outside had pushed the button to

go down and just cut it in. The door open,

and I'm standing there all by myself, and he looks in,

looks around, and he takes a step back. I'm like whatever.

The door start to close again. His timing was off.

They opened again. He looked at I, and I looked

a third time. I'm not kidding a third time, and

I go, okay, God, you must be in this because

this is third time doors popped. I said, why don't

you come on in. I'll stand over in this corner.

You stand in that corner. I'm good. So he did.

He got the corner. I stood there and I just went,

how you doing today? He goes, Oh, my back is

killing me. I'm here for some surgery at the back. Clint.

He just went into this whole thing about his back. Now,

now we're starting to go down right. I can't remember

how many floors we had, three or four floors. And

I said, so, what's your name? He says, my name

is John. I said, John, I'm a praying kind of guy.

That's how I put it. I said, I'm kind of

a praying kind of guy. Do you mind if I

pray for you? Pray for your back? He goes, would you?

I said sure. I just prayed a quick prayer, got

it all done in Jesus name. I hope you have

a great day. John, door's open. We're gone. But it

was that quick, and he was so open to the

guy that didn't even want to get in the elevator

with me. And God kept the doors. Gods like he

needs prayer, And finally when he gets in there, he

was like, I want prayer. I didn't know why the

door kept opening. Who knows what he was actually in

the inside, going God, I just need to touch from you.

I'm so scared about the surgery. Please send an answer.

And God goes, Okay, watch the doors, there's your answer.

Go in, you'll get an answer. So anyway, all these

actions take faith in God. To be bold picks faith.

So Peter and John were men of faith, the early Apostles,

men of faith. Can I just say they didn't all

live happily ever after, married, had kids, grandkids, had beautiful weddings,

had great family reunions at the beach of Galilee, all

prospered in business, all had villas. They all died gruesome deaths. Yeah,

not a glamorous finish, as we would say. This is

a great finish. But we're called to be oppositional to

the enemy, not to each other, to the enemy. So

one more time, Lord, make me bold, amen, and just

start where here. Start with yourself. Get bold. God, give

me boldness to talk to me about me and your

Bible to help me talk to someone else, Help me

speak the truth and love, Help me share Christ, help me,

help me pray for somebody spontaneously. It's amazing. If you

start listening to people, they're crying for help, they want answers,

they don't know where to go, and we do. So

just be quick to offer prayer and I think you'll

see doors open, elevator doors open. Okay, so that's part one. Lord,

make me bold. We want boldness. But now we need

this to be practical. Like Dave says, this every day

evangelism prophetic encouragement. How can we bring prophetic encouragement? Certainly

in the church, that's where its first design is for

building up the saints and building up each other. But

like Isaiah said, give me the tongue of the learned

for he that's weary. There's weary people walking right by

us all morning. They're going shopping, they're doing life, but

inside they're worn out because they don't have answers. How

can we help them? So I call this how to

build up anyone's life? How to build someone's life up.

You can build anybody's life, man, woman, child, saved, unsaved

because we're human. So I'm going to kind of reiterate

the fact that you know we're here to evangelize, But

we start with just being concerned about other people building

their life. When you say I want to help build

their life, I want to go back to that word

on the slide here, that word eika domain I used

in the first session about building to construct something according

to a blueprint or specific design. If you realize that

God makes people specifically the way He crafted them, he

can give us insight to that person that nobody else can.

Nobody knows you better than God. And when you're praying

and say, how can I help them? God? How did

you make them? What do I see? What do I observe?

So this whole idea of to increase the potential of

someone focusing on the process inside, you can actually say

what kind of process are they in right now? God,

what's the process you have them in? And that's where

you could reveal a marriage pressure they and they and

they might be quick to say my marriage is falling apart,

I don't know what to do with my husband and

wife whatever, And inside you have to say process, God,

give me insight to their process. And this is where God,

this is where we can hear the voice of God

very clearly for other people it's amazing. Sometimes we have

a hard time hearing for ourselves, but I'm convinced when

it comes to other people, God is loud. He turns

the volume up. So this whole idea of building and

we get that. I already gave the scriptures Ephesians four

for Spristina's fourteen. So this whole idea of how to

build someone's life comes from Ephesians, where Paul said this

Fesians five. Therefore, be imitators of God as beloved children,

walk in love. Is Christ loved us, watched this, gave

himself up for us for others, a fragrant offering and

sacrifice to God. The reason why we have a hard

time is listen, we all have measures of selfishness, and

it's hard to give up your own convenience and time

and everything. It's a sacrifice. But the Kingdom of God

was built on a sacrifice. Our savior gave up his

own life. So that's paulse just pointing that out as Christ.

He says, walk in love, as Christ loved us and

gave themselves up for us. Matthew twenty three, eleven and twelve.

The greatest among you will be your servant, not leader.

Always we think, well, the leader, they're the greatest. No,

do you know that leader in the New Testament mentioned

one time in the Bible is mentioned six times. That's it.

Guess how many times servant is mentioned Old Testament and

New nine hundred and sixty nine times four ninety three

in the Old Testament servants plural four seventy six total,

So it's basically one thousand and one. Where's the emphasis

being a servant? Right? Here are us discipleship. So here's

five things that we can continually say and get it

running in our thinking. Simple things we can say to

get entrance into someone's life, to build someone's life. This

is evangelism one O one because you can't. You just

can't go out and just hey, what are you saved? Hey?

Do you know you're going to hell? I mean, we

got to be real about this. How do we win people?

As we say? So? Number one things you should continually

say intentionally And the first one is very simple, but

it's how you say it. How are you? How you

doing good? See we're cliche about a lot of things,

right where you say over here? All right, all right,

you guys are so good at economizing words. Just bring

it down to right one syllable, But are you all right? Right?

And you say how you doing? All right? Good? But

we walk up to someone Dave good to see man.

Good to say it to you.

How you doing? How you doing? You don't have to touch.

But when you sincerely look at them and now, what

do you think? I really care about you? That's a

huge statement. How are you?

Not?

How are you? How are you doing? No? How are you?

You emphasize certain words, suddenly care comes out and people go,

this is not like how you're doing. See you later.

Here's the obstacle. Every one of these challenges comes with

an obstacle, but it can make a difference. The obstacle

is this is funny, but you really might not care

how they're doing, because then the fear comes when they go,

you know, I'm glad you asked, And then the story

starts and you go, wasn't planning on this? I really

don't care. I just heard I was supposed to say

this in the seminar. But what happens when you do

care and you show it and then you start opening up,

you gain something influence. You'd gain influence and hopefully change

his attitudes because people have. Everybody has an attitude, and

even people are suspicious. When you say, no, really, how

are you doing? They go, you really want to know?

Here's our Bible verse for that Philippines two for let

each of you look not only to his own interests,

but also to the interests of others. This takes work,

This takes prayer. This takes Lord make me bold, This

takes Lord keep me humble. I mean, this is part

of the things we have to confess. Like I said,

you're such an idiot. No, I don't call you that. Well,

what do you call me? Lord? I call you my son.

I call you. You're the light of the world, You're the

salt of the earth. And suddenly you have to realize

what God says about us, and then you transfer that

into what God says about other people, and it starts

with how are you really? How you doing? Because God

didn't send people to build his church. Jesus said, I

will build my church. He sent the church to build people.

We build people. If we build people, Jesus can build

the church because we're the building material. So how are you?

Number two can lead to when they tell you, how

can I help you? This is a you talk about

boldness here, because the obstacle is if they actually tell

you how you can help them, you might have to

change your plans, maybe at the moment or maybe on

the weekend. So how are you, oh stressed? Really? What

are you stressed about? I got to move this weekend

and I don't have any help and everything? How can

I know? I want to help them? Okay? How can

I got? I got a fun weekend planned? How can

I help you? Oh? Man, what are you doing Saturday?

Anyway you could help me move? And inside you're going,

I am planning this, So my go to would be no,

but I know somebody can keep my phone up.

No.

But when you come back at somebody that not only

do I care about you, but how can I help you? Wow?

You open them up, disarms the tension that might be

in the initial part of the conversation, and then what

makes you accessible to them? And suddenly they have another

They have accessibility to help someone with their need. Here's

a Bible verse, first Peter four ten. As each has

received a gift, use it to serve one another as

good stewards of God's varied grace. Here's the thing God

made us all individually the way he wanted. We all

have different graces that were varied as multicolored. I love that.

But as you've everybody's received some kind of gifting and

gracing use it. Like I said, I think my gifting

is referrals. No, I can't help you, but I got two.

I know two young guys, two college students. They'd love

to help you move. I mean, at my age, that's

what I'm going to do. I'm not going to move

your furniture, but I know two guys that can, right

and to say no, you know what, but I know

somebody will be really good at that. We can just

refer people what's your grace, what's the grace on your life?

And that opens them up even more. Now they're disarmed.

Now they're really open. Here's another way to just, I

don't know, build someone's life sincere. Thanks right, the word again,

the words thank you, sincerely. Here's the obstacle. You have

to be easily impressed and express it little things, and

we're so good at ignoring the little things. You see,

it's good to get this going in the body of Christ.

If I can say a practice hello at home, Hello

every now and then my wife, I realized. You know,

we're not thinking each other very much these days. We're

just expecting to get this done. I'm going to do

and ever rather said, hey, thanks for that. You know,

just those little things. If you don't have grandchildren yet,

when you get grandchildren, you'll realize how easily impressed you

are with a bunch of scribbling on a piece of paper.

And I made that for you, Papapa. Thank you, Oh

my goodness, thank you. I'm gonna put it on my

desk and put I'm gonna put it right in front

of my desk and go to look at it every day.

Thank you. I'm easily impressed with scribbling. You know, you're

just easily impressed. So what does it do? They feel value?

Suddenly people just feel valued. And so that's why Colossians

four to give thanks in all circumstances, for this is

God's will for you in Christ Jesus. Parenting is a

thankless job. We laugh now because we have adult kids

and grandkids, but slowly, little thank you for coming out

from adult kids. They look back on their life and going, oh,

my dad, you were You're right most of the time,

and you get some thanks that you didn't normally get,

you know, but sometimes it's thankless. You know, you don't

expect your your little toddlers to run around thanking you

for every little thing we teach them. I just say

thank you. What's one of the things we do teach

our kids a lot? It's like, what do you say? Right?

What do you say? I think sometimes we need to

hear the father go what do you say? And when

you think people sincerely elevates their value. Number four A

great phrase something like this you are amazing. And you

say it that way. It's like, oh, you're amazing, but

you are amazing. That goes beyond just thank you, And

I want to tell you something you're amazing, and then

you can reference why you think they're amazing. The obstacle

is you have to notice something that somebody does that

you can say, I want to tell them how that

I notice that I'm observing people. And we get in

church and we get busy. You know, Jonathan, you are

amazing and I mean it. I mean I walk in

and he's buzzing rounds and you know, probably on Sundays,

this guy he's in another world. His mind is looking.

But every now and then, you know, everybody walk over

that's what Jonathan does. That's what you're supposed to do.

But every now and then you need to go Jonathan,

thank you for what you do. You are amazing, right,

how do you feel now he's embarrassed. Look at he's

like stop stop. Yeah, but we need to do that

with one another. If you can't do it here, you

know the impact would have it at work to that

grumpy old man that just bothers you and you just

ignore him, and you purposely don't go by his desk,

or you stay away from him. Every now and then say, God,

point out something. I don't like anything about him, but

point out something. And every now and then you might

go by and see a picture of his family on

this desk. Is that your family? Yeah? People love to

talk about their family. Tell me, tell me about your grandkids.

You're amazing, that's amazing. I really appreciate the fact you

value your family and you have a picture that I'm

going to try to do that. No, little things we do,

what happens, people aren't feel supported by you. It changes things.

So I love this verse first Thessalonians five eleven. Therefore,

here's the word. This kind of seems bland, but it's

encourage one another and build up one another, just as

you're doing. So now we combine the building, okay, which

we understand that now. But this word encourage is para

colatto para coolatto, which is the same word translated for

the Holy Spirit, the helper, the paraclet the paracollect me

coletto is the Greek verb to call and para alongside

the Holy spirits, our helper that we call alongside us

to help us. And so what you're doing when you

encourage someone, you're actually calling the Holy Spirit in. I

want it's just the very fact that your intention is

I want to encourage you. I want to put courage

in you, but I want to call the Holy Spirit

alongside you, because he's the ultimate helper and you can

build somebody up that way. I like that. Here's the

best part. This leads us into what we're seeing in

our our line really kind of prophetic encouragement. So it's

got to come from God. So we have a little

acronym we use. I see in you. You know what

I see in you? And this is where you need

to call on God because you may not see it

in the reader naturalized you may, but This is where

you say, you know what, I not only want to

I want to show you that I care. I'll serve you. You know,

I really appreciate you and encourage you. But not only

do I believe in you. God believes in you. I

really believe in you. Why because this is what I

see in you? And then got to trust God. The

obstacle is trust God to speak through you. Right, God,

give me something for this person. Help me be prophetic,

help me look at them with my other eyes. All

these things prophecy, edifies, exhorts, it's all the same idea

behind for Stisalonians five. You know, don't despise prophesying. Why

people need encouragement. If you start with the category of encouragement,

we're not going to get in trouble with the prophetic.

People get in trouble when they go out of bounds.

They start predicting things that they're unauthorized to predict. So

you stay in your authorization. That's your sphere and encouragement.

Everybody can encourage encourage one another. Guess what, you're all

invited to the party, right, And the difference is people

begin to trust you because you don't just smile at

them and say they're nice. You actually empower them. Then

the power of the Holy Spirit, which comes from where

love they feel the love of God. That's power. That's powerful.

I mean, wow, we've all had those, But man, you

empower them with your words. So Ephesians four to twenty nine.

Let no corrupt talking come out of your mouth out

of the abundance of the heart, and mouth speaks. That's

why we're dealing with heart issues also, but only such

as is good for what edifying. There's the orcadoma building

up as fits the occasion. That's an important part of

your timing. It's the right time to say that. Should

I write it, Should I text it? Should I say it? That?

It may what give grace to those that hear it? Man,

that I need to pray that more. I want to

say God, I want to when I talk to people,

I want them to receive grace from you. Grace comes

from God. So one of the tips look for fruit.

When you say I don't what should I be looking for?

I see in you? You know what I see in you.

Start with the fruits of the spirit. Love. You know,

you're a really loving person. I just see you joy.

You know a joyful person really stands out in our

society these days. I mean, I mean even in churches.

I mean I'm not picking on anybody, but I go

to some churches. I go, y'all do communion with lemon juice?

I mean, how do you? Why is everybody so especially

worship teams. Sometimes they all get up there anyway, not

not here, of course. So love, joy, peace, long suffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance,

those fruits. Look for fruit, be fruit inspectors. When you

see fruit pointed out, you know what I see in you.

There's a gentleness about you. Whatever. Thank you for your patience.

So we have these systems like small groups, missions, outreach,

teaching those that's the infrastructure of the church. We have

to we have to build up one another with our infrastructure.

But then we have the human infrastructure, the human human

side of it. And that's where you have leaders, elders, deacons,

one another, the natural and the supernatural work together to

build people. Jesus said, out build my church. You go

make disciples. We make disciples. Jesus builds the church. They

don't make themselves. I found, so I see in you.

So we're going to do we have a little bit

of time. Here's where you get to move. Stand up.

Have you stand stand at your table. You had your

chance to move tables. Now you can't. Now you have

to stay with your table. And if you have an

odd number of people, find another odd number of people.

Everybody get a partner and it's almost like open dancing.

Choose your partner. Choose wise, I prefer not spouse. Don't

spouse or family member. You can and you have permission

to move. Ready, go move, And it works really well

for this one gender upon gender. Just some ladies pair

up and some men pair up, and if you know them,

that's okay. Just pair up with somebody. Okay, wait, don't

talk yet. It's not not yet. I don't authorize you. No. Okay, listen,

here's the instruction. This is very simple. Okay, it's very simple.

What you're going to do is wait on the Lord

for just this. Wait on the Lord and what inside

You're gonna say the Lord, what do you see? And

my brother, my sister, what do you see? And let

me share that with them? This is the what I

see in you are You can even say the Lord

is showing me or I sense this is what I

see in you, and go into those categories what do

I see? Now? Maybe you know the person real well

and you can point out, you know what, this is

what I see in you? Ask God, maybe you'll get

a picture, a word of encouragement. This is all in

the content of encouragement. Holy Spirit, come alongside and tell

this person something that comes from you that gives them

what grace? All right, so take a minute, stand in

front of your friend. Both close your eyes. You know

who you're praying for, getting a word for, and just

go go quiet and inside, say Lord, what do I see?

Open my eyes? I see in you, and you'll get

it quick, don't Holy spirits quick now open your eyes

and look at your friend and tell them I see

in you, just quickly. Don't preach, just say I see

in you, little phrase, little thought. Remember you're practicing for

the real deal. Good, okay, wrap it up. Remember we're

not giving a lifelong prophecy. See just I see in you.

So when you're done, When you're done, go ahead and

sit down in your your own seats. But we're gonna

we're going to talk about this. So go sit down,

but remember what you said and what you heard. We're

not done yet. Have a seat, but I can see

smiles all over the room. The encouragement of God just

went up a whole new level. And all it took

was some words, your voice, using your voice to encourage.

So I want some testimonies. We want to hear how

that happened and your process and just share. We want

some sharing time. So don't make me call on you.

But that's just mutual encouragement. So not only are you

in the personal receiving it, but then you're oh, I

encouraged somebody, then you film curse is a double blessing?

What I could see in him some of you is

he's a strong man of God with that wonderful heart,

a very loving heart that it is full of mercy

and helping others. And the Lord is going to bring

him from one thing to another, victorious in every area

of his life.

this whole thing, because we're made emotional people and the

world just wants to tear us down and speak negative

and or you're like clam you just tear yourself down.

You're such an idiot. But I mean, we have to

keep confessing what God says about us and through one another.

So good, here's another quick time. I've got a couple

more testimonies because we're let and the ladies have more time.

We're actually ahead of schedule. But what do you do

if you're going to maybe pray for somebody and you

feel something negative, because that's very possible. You feel something negative,

maybe a struggle, maybe maybe you're not looking for sin,

but you say they're really dealing with something. What do

I do? We have a saying you move in the

opposite spirit, that's all. If you sense fear and saying

you know, you know what I see in you, boy,

a lot of fear. That's not going to build anybody up.

But if you sense fear to God, you do a courasion.

I just you know what I see in you? More

courage coming. I see more courage coming. If you say

that you counter the fear that you're sensing, which is real.

They say, you know what, and you know God's just

going to fill you with faith. You just need to

know that God's going to fill you with faith. So

you speak into the deficit that you're sensing. Because we

all have them, so that I'm just saying that because

sometimes it's not always like, lad, we're all happy people.

It's like somebody's struggling. What do I What do I do?

If I I sense this? And God says, speaking the

absence spirit, that makes sense depression, give him something uplifting.

I joy. I feel like I feel like joy is

going to come into your life. I feel like God

just wants to pour joy on you, and he does,

but some people need to realize he does. When you're down,

you need a voice to come and lift you up.

That's that's what we're here for. Somebody else, Come on,

actually get to see the fruits.

can almost combine I see in you. And by the way,

I really appreciate you. You're awesome. You can combine all

those you can do. You can do all those five

steps in one short conversation that leads you into But

here's what I see in you. Yeah, you good for

a jump.

Actually, just to unpack the process as well, not just

kidd So all I saw was a picture, no words,

know nothing. What I saw was a picture of a

tin of fruit salad. A tin of fruit salad, so

pineapple chervyes. You know, that's all I saw. So I said,

I just see fruit salad. And I said, but actually,

you bring different things together and you see something and

you're a man of variety, and you choose to put

it together, and you decide whether it picks together. You

put it together, and it tastes beautiful and it's sweet.

Yeah, So that's what I had to go. I don't

know what you thought about it.

But the bit that mean it's important because you said

it that I first thought.

The first thing that goes on.

In our heads and in our spirits is is that

me hungry?

Or is that something like it earlier?

You know?

So we we take we try to throw it away first.

And then the next thing is, as you said, do

I already notice about Yeah, So there's a lot.

Of stuff going on, well said, yeah, and remember that

we're going to be doing some more of that in

the afternoon. We'll do a couple more workshops where we're

going to actually look for pictures or thoughts or things

anything we can do to get into someone else's world

people's lives and that she'll have the right questions to

ask people that are feeling quite down.

I don't know anything about her, and he just told

me that you know, whatever she's waiting for, it's coming

her way. And it's like, I don't know what she's

waiting for her, but it's coming.

And it's going to be amazing. And was that good

And yeah, that.

Wow works. If we get it comfortable doing that in

our churches, in our small groups, then what Lord, make

me bold out there, because that's what we really want

to be able to touch people with the love of God,

right and just God.

I say, she's ready to give baptized, Wow, to be nice,

Build you up? Huh, builds us up? Yeah, well done,

well done? All right his last. Anybody that wants to

share it hasn't. This is your big chance. Otherwise we're

going to put you in the shy introvert category. Amberbert,

maybe you're Amberburt. So here's the thing. Just think back

through those simple statements and think about I want to

be able to do that almost spontaneously with the people

that I don't even have church with. Right think about

somebody right now. Maybe start praying now for somebody at

work or just that spontaneous person you meet in the

store or whatever we're inside. You're going, okay, God, make

me bold, give me confidence, but let me be loving

and let me give me my opening statement. Like the

guy that came in the elevator like how you doing,

I'm just like, hey, how you doing. I was trying

to diffuse him because he kept sticking his head in

like social distancing. I can't go in, but just like,

how you doing? And he actually so, I think this

guy actually wants to know how I'm doing. So I'm

going to tell him my back is killing me, so

you can just open up conversations. This is like basic evangelism,

but I think the component is boldness because the enemy

wants to shut us down. The enemy wants to say,

what the what if they? Well, what if they It's

like saying, we got these thoughts. I love what Dave said,

don't forget they're We'll touch that after lunch. But the

Holy Spirit is so quick and sometimes we try to

work it out exegete it in our brain. By the

time we get done, we've edited everything the Holy Spirit

wanted to say. Right, don't do that. Just go with

that quick first impression. He's so fast, and then then

it's almost like, that's why I'll talk about later, but

start your day praying in tongues. He's already downloading things

you don't even know you might need that day. It's

just amazing. And I don't know why we don't do

it more. But because we have iPhones, that's why we

don't have to ask God half the time. We just google. Well,
