Well, I want to begin by if I can't just
-
commending Jonathan. I don't think i've seen anyone work so
-
hard in church since like the apostle Paul just running
-
around he said to me, he said, I eat it
-
like EQ your microphone at the start. So just just
-
chat some rubbish. So, Jonathan, you've not heard me a
-
prief before. Most of it is me chatting rubbish, so
-
we should be all right. But okay, I was worried
-
because my ears are bigger than Dave's. Oh we okay,
-
We're good, Yeah, brilliant, excellent. Well, a couple of things,
-
just to mention slightly offended. If I'm honest, you've stolen
-
our niece. Yeah, you stole Annie Carris. And then on
-
the day when I thought I would be the most
-
exotic visitor today you bring Americans in as well, So
-
thanks for that, because we're from Yorkshire, which is pretty exotic.
-
And how last time I came, I promised I would
-
talk slowly, try not to speak too much broad Yorkshire.
-
This time i'm here, I've broke my translator with me.
-
So if I do just start speaking broad Yorkshire, he'll
-
jump up. She'll start translating. Maybe a bit of sign
-
language for us as well. She's brilliant. Okay, well, yeah,
-
it's been a while. It's been a couple of years
-
since I've been her last And for those of you
-
who don't know me, as they mentioned, we the church
-
in Sheffield and an incredibly insecure preacher. Just gonna put
-
that out there for you. Okay. So what I need
-
is we have these rules in Sheffield in Grace Church
-
that helped me out right, and that is, if someone
-
feels like clapping in the preach, that's fine, but if
-
one person does it, you've all got to do it, okay,
-
because it's really a weirdness. One goes and they just
-
wish they hadn't started it. Okay, that's wrong. Number one.
-
The other rule is that you have to like give
-
me some feed back of some kind. So you know,
-
if if you like saying Amen, praise the Lord, if
-
you're really spiritual, you can say hallelujah as well. That
-
would be really really helpful. Then that's not a practice,
-
that's just clap amazing. You've done this before, definitely, and
-
online if you're tuning in just and I've be a
-
bit late to the game and you're just tuning in
-
and just let you know. And if you're wondering why
-
we're clapping, it's because I just said something really really good. Okay,
-
tune in for more. Ah right, great, awesome. Well you're
-
you're in the middle of a series about miraculous times,
-
and I think that's really really apps for you guys
-
right now. Genuinely merely a follow you online all the time,
-
Like almost every Sunday, we tune in, usually just before bed,
-
we'll watch we'll watch it back just to keep up
-
to date what you guys are doing. And it's just
-
it's just brilliant to see what God's doing in this place.
-
It really really is. And even just from an outside perspective,
-
I can just see some of the changes over this
-
this last couple of years, even with the online stuff
-
that you guys are doing, just looks amazing. I hearing
-
great stuff about the student ministry, although we take credit
-
for that because of we broke Carris into your life,
-
you know, hearing about small groups, hearing about the academy,
-
hearing about you guys being involved in fasting, and hearing
-
about you guys just even just talking now already about
-
hiring a bigger space in this place. When I came
-
to you last time, you were still at Virginia Lodge,
-
and to see you all this is just fantastic. It
-
really really is. And I hope you're really proud of
-
your church because it's a great church. It really is.
-
And when I was when I was here last in September,
-
I think it was twenty twenty three, I said at
-
the beginning of my message that I felt like God
-
was saying that He's on the move in this place.
-
In fact, I encouraged you with something that Clem Ferris
-
if some of you I know some of you know him,
-
encouraged us with field and I said, put out more
-
chairs as I get ready for more people and probably
-
more problems like that comes with people than it. And
-
God's definitely moved this place since then. And I felt,
-
as I was just praying for you guys before I
-
came here, that God wanted just to add on to
-
that there's definitely more. There's definitely more for you guys,
-
more good things, and also that I think that God
-
would encourage you in this season to not stop celebrating
-
what He's doing. It's really important for you guys. Here
-
we go, oh there, we go. So it's been a
-
bit of an interesting year for me this year. For
-
those who don't know, I mean some of you might
-
have even been around when this happened. Like Dave said,
-
I've known for many, many years, and going back over
-
I think it was about twenty five years this year,
-
I think it is. I had a car accident and
-
it was a pretty serious one and it meant that
-
I couldn't walk for five years and I had a
-
lot of pain to deal with, a lot of recovery
-
to deal with, and it was a very interesting time
-
in my life and I thought i'd moved on from that,
-
and then this year I've had to go back and
-
have some further surgeries. So I'm number sixteen so far
-
clocking them up, got one more to go. So it's
-
been a bit of an interesting time for me. I
-
don't like kind of sitting still. I don't like kind
-
of the process of sitting and recovering right, and so
-
it's been quite difficult. But I realized during this recent
-
recovery period that I have a trigger. And you know,
-
if you know what trigger is something that you know
-
someone says or does it it just sets you off,
-
just you react to it a week, can't help it.
-
It came about when I was in my bedroom with
-
Leah and she was she was trying to put a
-
box back up on top of the wardrobe. And at
-
this point, I was kind of hot hobbling around a
-
little bit. I was, I was on crutches a bit,
-
but I was able to hobble around a bit. But
-
I could definitely, definitely, definitely pick up the box and
-
put it on the wardrobe. But Lea was trying to
-
do it, and she was struggling because she's a bit
-
vertically challenged, and so she was trying to and she
-
was trying to get into a chair to climb up
-
onto this put up there, And I said, let me,
-
he has a big, strong husband move his box for you.
-
And you know what she said to me. And when
-
I tell you this, right, you'll think, Luke, that's grounds
-
for divorce. She said, Luke, you can't. What should tell
-
me I can't do something I'm not able to? And
-
it threw me back to a time when I was
-
just really in deep recovery, and it was like I
-
was being told I couldn't do stuff all the time
-
by people. I was being fetched chairs and told I
-
couldn't lift stuff and look kind of stuff, and my
-
nan was the worst. And I remember this one time.
-
I'd been pretty much bedbound for like a year at
-
this point, and I just started moving around a little
-
bit and I was able to walk from my bed,
-
which was then in the living room, through into the
-
kitchen that was as far as I could walk and
-
back again. And this one morning I got up and
-
I thought, I'm gonna go for it today. I'm gonna
-
make myself some breakfast. It was like a milestone moment
-
for me. And I got out of bed and I
-
said my NaN's like, do you want some some breakfast?
-
I said, Nan, don't you worry yourself. I'm going to
-
make my own breakfast this morning. Say you can't, and
-
I just got I was like, watch me. So I
-
walked on the critchures into the into the kitchen and hey,
-
guys is coming in and finds a shit, finds out
-
a seat. I walked to the kitchen and I made myself.
-
I got some corn flakes out. I went to the
-
fridge and I kind of carefully, kind of using all
-
the surfaces, got back and pulled the milk in and
-
put some sugar on and I did this. I learned
-
this thing like I did. That's a really strong thumb.
-
And I could like grip bowls and glasses like on
-
on the side of my crutches and walk like this.
-
And I was doing it and the milk was swashing everywhere.
-
But I got in there and I sat down the
-
bed and I said, nah, I did it. I don't
-
tell me I can't, that's right, And she had to
-
agree as she went to get the mop and clear
-
up a little bit. But yeah, you can't, you can't. Yeah,
-
there's there's a there's a quote as I was saying
-
that they don't really know where it comes from, but
-
they most people attribute it to Nelson Mandela, to be honest,
-
but but they don't really know. And it goes smart
-
like this, it all. It always seems impossible until it's done,
-
until it's done, And you know, I think maybe that
-
that comes back to time where I forget the name
-
of the gentleman who he ran the mile in four
-
minutes for the first time. Everyone said it couldn't be done,
-
and then as soon as he did it, everyone wanted
-
to do it. Says in Matthew nineteen verses sixteen to
-
twenty six, although we're just going to read twenty six,
-
but it's a story of the rich young ruler, if
-
you know that. And this is a young guy who
-
comes to Jesus and he says to Jesus, I've done
-
everything that I'm supposed to do, right, I've ticked all
-
the boxes. So what's left for me to get into
-
the Kingdom of God? And Jesus replies, sell everything and
-
give it all to the poor, right, and then come
-
on follow me, and he goes away discourage because he
-
just can't. He doesn't want to do that. It's not
-
really about money. The thing about this whole story is
-
it's about money was an issue for that guy, right
-
and so and so Jesus is chatting to disciples it
-
say it's really hard for people like him to get
-
into the Kingdom of God. He says, he's almost as
-
hard as a camel going through the ether needle. And
-
if you've been in the church for any length of time,
-
you'll know that's actually referring to a little door that
-
was on the gates that a camel at nighttime when
-
the gates was shut, would have to take all the
-
luggage off get on the knees and crawl through this.
-
It was just big enough to get the camel through,
-
and the idea being it was really really hard for
-
the camel to get through that doorway. And the disciples
-
said to Jesus, well, how is it possible? How can
-
anybody enter the Kingdom of God? Then? And this is
-
Jesus reply. He looked at them and said, this is
-
verse twenty six. With man, this is impossible. But with God,
-
all things are possible. Now. I know about Versus talking
-
about salvation. But if Jesus said all things are possible,
-
and then guess what. All things are possible? There is
-
no can't in the Kingdom. In Philippians four, verses thirteen,
-
it says this, this is the new king. James version
-
says I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
-
In Jeremiah thirty two, verse seventeen, says, our Sovereign Lord,
-
you have made the heavens and the earth by your
-
great power and outstretched arm. Nothing is too impossible, too
-
hard for you. There is no cant in the Kingdom. Amen. Amen,
-
we are living in miraculous times right now today, in
-
twenty twenty six. There's no cart in the Kingdom. You know,
-
I'd be careful when I say this, because that's time
-
I said this, I had like seventeen people come to
-
me after the service. But I love it when people
-
come to me after service and say, you know, that
-
was a great, great message today, Luke, I really encourage me.
-
I enjoy that. And like I said genuinely when I
-
said it last time, seventeen people came to see me,
-
one of which sees me every single week and tells
-
me I preach really well, which is great a part
-
of the fact that I don't preach every week, but
-
he always comes and says it anyway, which is really
-
really nice of him, A really great message. Today. I
-
didn't preachte I didn't. Sorry, Pete, I didn't preach today.
-
It's always nice, isn't it to have people kind of
-
say nice things and encourage you, and you want to
-
kind of please people. But actually, there is one person
-
that I really want to please. It's one person in
-
my life that when she says, well done, it was
-
a good message today. That's the person that I most
-
want to please, and that's Leah, my wife. Because when
-
Liah says it, I'm like God. But Leah thinks it right,
-
Leah's pleasing me. And the thing about Lear is as well,
-
is you got to know Leah can't lie. It's impossible
-
for to lie. There's like Jesus and then there's Leah
-
and then everyone else. Okay, I just got lucky when
-
I married Leah, and so like, I just want it's that.
-
That's the praise that I want to receive from Lear.
-
And you know what, though, it's the same with God.
-
We want to please God, right. And what it says
-
in Hebrews eleven, verse six is this. It says that
-
without faith, it's impossible to please God. In other words,
-
we have to believe in the impossible, or it's impossible
-
to please God. Faith. Faith is the currency of the kingdom.
-
It's all that matters to God. In Judges six, we
-
have the story of Gideon. You probably know the story.
-
A bit of a crazy story, really, you know. The
-
Angel of the Lord comes to Gideon and says, hey,
-
mighty warrior, I go and save Israel. And Gideon is like, no.
-
In fact, what he says is this, his verse fifteen
-
is pardon me, Lord, because his polite was Gideon, pardon me, Lord.
-
Gidding replied, how can I save Israel? My clan is
-
the weakest in Manassa and the least in my family.
-
In other words, it's impossible. It's beyond me. It's too
-
big for me. And do you know what I think?
-
The trap sometimes, when we're thinking about faith and think
-
about trying to see God's kingdom grow a douceman for
-
God is to actually think that maybe we are big enough,
-
maybe we are capable of doing it, but actually the
-
truth is is that we're not. Gideon was right. He
-
was the smallest. He was the smallest guy in his family.
-
His family was the smallest family in the clan, was
-
the smallest clown in the tribe, and his tribe was
-
probably the smallest tribe. That's probably why I was picked.
-
And this is how God answers Gideon. He doesn't say no, no, no,
-
you're okay, you're good, like I believe in your Gideon
-
doesn't say anything like that. He says this, I will
-
be with you and you will strike down the mediaite Midianites,
-
leaving none alive. This is the guy who was hiding
-
in a wine press threshing wheat, hiding from the enemies
-
who have been attacking the Israelites and he's like, I'm
-
a nobody and goes like, yeah, but I'm with you.
-
It makes all the difference, and church were living in
-
miraculous times. It doesn't matter whether what you think of
-
yourself does the matter, Whether you think you've got X
-
amount of skills, or whether you're confident or not confident,
-
doesn't matter. Nothing matters. The only thing matters is one
-
thing is God with you. And God is with you,
-
and He's with this hr Men now often mainly have
-
been passion in the church in Sheffield for seven years.
-
There have been numerous times where I've just felt unqualified,
-
just not having the answers that everyone's looking for. But
-
I have to keep believing rim miraculous times. And it's
-
not because of my qualification, not because of your qualifications.
-
It's not even because of Lea's qualifications. It's just muchow
-
than to Jesus. It's because God's with us, and so
-
I believe in the impossible, rim miraculous times. I want
-
to ask your church, what are you believing for right now?
-
Are you believing God for anything right now? Maybe God's
-
put an idea or a thought or a ministry in
-
your head and it seems impossible. I want to speak
-
to those of you who God's spoken to in the
-
past and you've laid it down because it hasn't happened.
-
I want to encourage you today pick it back up again.
-
We're living in miraculous times and Kingdom of God is
-
built on those that believe in the impossible. So I
-
want to give you a few I don't know, a few,
-
I guess, encouragements about faith. I want to encourage you
-
about how you can grow your faith today a little
-
bit because your face face an interesting one. You know.
-
Sometimes I know I've been guilty of this, especially in
-
my younger years. I felt like as if it was
-
on me. So I felt as if I had to
-
have enough faith for God to do stuff. And so
-
what I would do is I'd almost like squeeze my
-
eyes tighter, like that, Okay, God, I don't just believe anymore.
-
I really really believe. And still maybe they're tired offing happened.
-
I just I call that Disney faith, you know what
-
I mean. It's like, if you believe enough, it will happen.
-
Maybe for Cinderella. That's not how it works in the
-
Kingdom of God. It's not about that. It's not about
-
the size of your faith really, because Jesus said, what
-
you know, it's size of mustard seed. Right. But the
-
good news is this is that you all have got faith.
-
You've all got faith. Why because the first thing I
-
want to know about faith is that God gives faith.
-
He actually gives us faith, So you haven't got to
-
start from nothing. There. Romans twelve, verse three says this,
-
for by the grace given to me, I say to
-
every one of you, do not think of yourself more
-
higher than you WoT, but rather think of yourself with
-
sober judgment. And it comes with the faith that God
-
has distributed to each of you. You know, God's given
-
us everything in our life, really, hasn't he He's given
-
us I mean, get we get locked into his idea
-
that we've earned certain stuff, like we've earned our wage,
-
and yeah, we put the effort in, but God's given
-
us the ability to earn that wage. You know, God's
-
give us everything. Praise God for all the things He's
-
given us. Right, and even faith comes from God. So
-
right now you may have a small amount of faith.
-
God's given you with faith the size of mustard seed,
-
but it's enough. The second thing I want to mention
-
about faith is that faith is built. It is built.
-
You can grow your faith. It's not kind of like
-
a muscle. That's how I like to think about it.
-
And you know, there's two ways, two elements of building muscle.
-
And you'll know this if you're into like the gym
-
or fitness and stuff like that. There are two elements
-
for building muscle. The first thing is nutrition, and that's
-
all about what you put in. We put into yourself.
-
It's the building blocks. It's the fuel that you put
-
into yourself. And faith comes by putting the word into
-
yourself ten seventeen. As consequently, faith comes from hearing the message,
-
and the message is heard through the word about Christ.
-
You know, the interesting thing about that word word is
-
that the word for word in that verse. I always
-
thought it meant like the written words that the Bible.
-
And if you know your your Bible, you know your
-
your Greek, you know there's different a couple of different
-
words that the word that the Bible uses for different things.
-
And there's two words. I'm gonnat confused saying this now,
-
there's too many words in what I'm saying. There are
-
two words for the word word. The first word is
-
the logos, and that means the written word. It means
-
like the scriptures, right, what you're reading for yourself. And
-
then there's another words, the rama word, and that means
-
the spoken word. And actually this is referring to the
-
spoken word. I mean back then when they first wrote
-
these words, they would have a lot of people were
-
illiterate anyway, right, so a lot of people would have
-
been listening to the Word of God through speech anyway.
-
But the point trying to make is this, Yes, it
-
comes from reading the Bible. It also comes from digging
-
into the preachers on a Sunday morning. It also comes
-
from people giving prophetic words at times. Faith is built
-
on anything that comes from God. If he spoke it,
-
it'll build your faith. I remember, going back now, like
-
I said, twenty plus years, I was in a bit
-
of a mess, and it's a miracle itself that I
-
kind of just even stayed with God. I remember just
-
there being a whole season, like six months where the
-
only thing I could pray to God was why. And
-
I remember one time I said, it's such a mess.
-
I had just come out of the hospital. I'd to
-
go and have an emergency operation, and I was in pain,
-
like serious pain. But I was invited to go to
-
a service at church where they had a cup pathetic people.
-
So Clem Ferris was there, which I know, you guys
-
know Keith Hazel was there. Not was anymore, but some
-
of you may remember Keith. And they were prophesying other people,
-
and I was invited to go and be prof sied over.
-
And so something in me said I need to be there,
-
and so I went and they called me up from
-
the front and they profit said over me, and they
-
said some things in that prophecy that kept me going
-
that I held onto for years. I mean, what part
-
of it was just a scripture that even now I
-
go back to and I read it and I quote
-
it to myself, and I encourage myself with it. Isaiah forty,
-
verse twenty seven to thirty one. Why do you complain,
-
oh Jacob, Why do you say, oh, Israel, my cause
-
is disregarded by my God? Do you not know? Having
-
not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the creator
-
of all of the heavens and the earth. He does
-
not grow tired and weary, and he's understanding no one
-
can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases
-
the power of the week. Even youths grow tired and weary,
-
and young men stumble and fall. But those who hope
-
on the lad will be new their strength. They will
-
soar on wings like eagles. They will run and not
-
grow weary. They will walk and not saying I hell
-
onto that for so long when I couldn't walk, And
-
even this year again I've revisited it and it's kept
-
me going. The word from God will sustain you, and
-
it's the nutrition you need to build your faith. But secondly,
-
the second component of building muscle in the natural is exercise.
-
I mean, the technical term these days is time under tension.
-
It means it means basically, trifle as long as possible,
-
to put your muscles in as much uncomfortable position as possible,
-
make them work for as long as possible. That's how
-
you build muscle. Sure, just just recently, just a few
-
months ago, like November ish kind of time, as I mentioned,
-
I had operation back on crutches, and I I decided
-
this morning, I'm going to walk to the shops. And
-
I said to myself, Luke, if you can walk to
-
the shops, you can buy yourself some sweeties. But it
-
was a risk. I don't know if I can make it.
-
Like I've been walking around the house a bit. I
-
say walking, it was more hobbling, you know, kind of
-
a bit wonky kind of thing, and I was like,
-
can I do this? I don't know, But I thought
-
to myself, well, what could what could happen? I could
-
walk so far, I could get really tired and had
-
to stop. I could turn around and come back. Or
-
I could walk so far, I could get really tired,
-
or maybe even hurt myself a little bit, and I
-
just had to sit down for a bit and rest.
-
And then after I've rested for a while, I look
-
a bit silly. I might be walking past me thinking
-
what's this guy doing in the dirt? You know, but
-
that's the worst guy. And I can get up and
-
I can walk, So I thought, you know, I'm gonna
-
I'm gonna go for it. So so I got ready
-
and I started walking to the shop. And I got
-
this Father's like to become generals. What do you call
-
them little paths in between the houses, Ginnel's backstreets, alleyways? Okay,
-
so I got to the alleyway on my street, cut
-
through and I walked up that and I had to
-
stop and arrested, and I thought, can I go any further? Yeah,
-
I can go a bit further. So I went across
-
over the street, went down the next alleyway, and I
-
came to a bridge. At this point the story, I
-
realized it kind of sounds like a children's tale, you know,
-
But there was no troll under the bridge. Were okay,
-
and so then I thought, can I make it up
-
the bridge? I crossed over the bridge. It was a
-
railway bridge, and then I and then it was a
-
bit further. I walked up. When I got to the shop,
-
and I bought myself some jelly beans, praised the Lord
-
for jellibeans, and I said, right, I'm not gonna eat
-
until I get home, So put my pocket and I
-
walked home. And I walked a bit and I stopped,
-
and by the time I got to my street, I
-
was literally hanging onto walls. I was set in carl
-
arms off. I was like my cars. But I made
-
it home, which is great. Was great. I thought I
-
was such a buzz amazing. But you know what, like
-
last week I walked, I did a six mile high
-
cupper hill in the Peter Streets. The point is this,
-
I don't worry about going to the shops anymore because
-
I've done it, I've lived it, I've got through it,
-
I experienced it. Now I worry about what's the next
-
biggest hill I can climb. And that's the same with faith.
-
Faith comes through experience. It comes to time under tension,
-
and right now you might be in the middle of
-
a tenth time in your life. I want to encourage you.
-
It's a good thing. Lean into it because God will
-
use it to build your faith. Just keep trusting in
-
Him Hebrews eleven, verse one. Now, faith is the confidence,
-
the confidence of what we hope for and the assurance
-
by what we don't see. I don't know if I
-
could make it to the shops. Didn't know last week.
-
We can make it up the hill. But it's about
-
having the confidence and trust in God to see it
-
with your eyes internally before you see it with your
-
natural eyes. It's going to the gym, you know, remember
-
the first time you might have gone to the gym
-
for the first time ever, and you just feel like
-
you feel silly right that you go into the gym
-
and you think to yourself, everyone here looks bigger than me, right.
-
But the truth is it doesn't matter how strong you
-
are before you go to the gym. Everyone starts at
-
different levels of strength. The point is when you go
-
to the gym. If you go to the gym, you
-
will get stronger. It's the same with faith. We've all
-
got different levels of faith, but if you start activating
-
that faith, your faith will get stronger. Amen. And when
-
you faith, because you know what we'll live in miraculous times.
-
The last thing about faith that I want to mention
-
is faith really is all about what we do. You know,
-
often we've limited faith to a feeling like it's just
-
that confidence or just that belief. But you know what,
-
the belief is not really believe unless you're willing to
-
act on it. It's knowing that it's going to happen.
-
But it's more than just thinking something's true. It's acting
-
like it is in James two verses fourteen twenty six,
-
I'll not be the whole thing, but it's the whole
-
discourse by the writer that just talks about this. How
-
like faith without deeds, it's not faith. He finishes on
-
verse twenty six by saying, as the body without the
-
spirit is dead. So faith without deeds is dead. The
-
words Faith isn't about good intentions. It's not faith to
-
want something. It's not faith to say you would do
-
something if you had enough cash. It's faith takes action,
-
Faith gives, faith loves, faith encourages faith, praise for faith
-
gets up, faith builds. And anything that doesn't do that,
-
it's just and just, but just sits there. Believing for
-
it isn't faith, it's just wishful thinking. The band up please.
-
In Mark nine, there's a pretty amazing story. I love this.
-
I like sometimes when you read about Jesus. I like
-
sometimes just imagining what he would have he would have
-
said it. And I like this bit and Mark now
-
because I think Jesus sounds almost a bit cocky. Mark nine,
-
Verse twenty two, twenty four is a guy brings his
-
son to Jesus and his sons they believes having some
-
kind of demonica attack or some kind of fit of
-
some kind. And the dad is obviously at the end
-
of his rope, and he comes to Jesus and he
-
says to Jesus in verse twenty two, it's often thrown
-
him into the fire or water to kill him. But
-
if you can do anything, take pity on us and
-
help us. I love Jesus response, he says, if you can,
-
I can imagine him, I can watch. Maybe this is paraphrase.
-
I'm like, he's like, what do you mean if I
-
can do anything? Do you know who you're talking to.
-
I'm Jesus, I'm the son of God. Like if Jesus says,
-
if you can do he said, everything is possible for
-
one who believes. And immediately the boy's father exclaimed, I
-
do believe. Help me to overcome my unbelief. And I
-
think that's a really good posture for us today. We're
-
living in miraculous times and the Kingdom of God. It's
-
built on people who believe in the impossible. Look what
-
God has done so far in this church, even since
-
I've been here last there's more so, what's God put
-
in your heart? Could it be that He's put it
-
there because with him, you actually are the mighty warrior
-
that will get it done. To your feet, please, I
-
want to finish by praying for you. I want to
-
just do some a bit different today to finish. I
-
don't often do this, although I was encouraged to do it.
-
I listened to Dave a few weeks back. He was
-
saying about, you know, we're believe in that there'll be
-
times of silence in the church. And there's a lot
-
we said about silence. We don't do it very much,
-
definitely not in this type of church anyway. The Pentecostal
-
church were quite loud and we'd like to shout and
-
cheer and that's all. That's great, but there are there
-
are times for moments of silence. And my prayer for
-
you today is that God will ignites something in you
-
just in this moment of silence, that it will speak
-
to you, It'll plant something in your heart that he's
-
calling you to do for him. That's going to take
-
a bit of faith. I believe that some of you
-
who is going to remind you of some stuff that
-
you laid down as need to pick right up right now.
-
And I want to remind you before we do this
-
that quote that I started off this this message with
-
that they all said it was impossible until you did it.
-
Let's pray. Well, let's let's just before praying, No, we'll
-
have a couple of minutes and just as we're as
-
we're standing in silence, I need you to open up
-
your heart to God and allow Him to speak to
-
you right now. Thank you Jesus. M hm m hm
-
h m.
-
M m mm hmmm.
-
S just stay in this moment for a minute. But
-
that's why people are eyes are closed. You know, if
-
you're believing for something impossible right now, God's spoken to
-
you today, or maybe you already were just believing for
-
something in Him. Would you just raise your hands right now?
-
Want to pray for you. Come on the Kingdom of God.
-
He's built on those who believe in the impossible. Thank
-
you Jesus. What I pray for everyone in the room
-
right now is believing for something impossible. I pray Lord
-
God that you would be their provider. I pray Lord
-
God that you would be the one who would step
-
into this moment in time of God and do the
-
impossible through them. Father, we pray Lord God. And only
-
would we in this place believe that we're living in
-
miraculous times or but let the people out there look
-
at this church and say, wow, look at the miraculous
-
things that God is doing that place. Lor we pray
-
you would speak to this world through your church. It's
-
such a powerful way through signs and wonders. We pray
-
for healings in the name of Jesus. We pray for
-
financial provision in the name of Jesus. We pray for
-
relationship reconciliation in the name of Jesus. We pray for
-
testimony after testimony after testimony. We pray this church will
-
be marked as a church who is celebrating consistently all
-
the great things You're doing in their lives because they
-
believe in the miraculous. We believe leave, Lord, and we
-
put our faith in you, and we trust in you.
-
We thank you Jesus. I thank you Lord, and just
-
just once more while while all the eyes are shut
-
and just feel I feel like just asking. I don't
-
know if I don't know want here. I know there's
-
some people here for the first time. I know there's
-
people watching online. Maybe you've never given your life to Jesus,
-
or maybe you've been away from Jesus for a very
-
long time. I want to encourage you. He's waiting with
-
open arms. He loves you, he wants to be known
-
by you, he wants to come into your life. And
-
you know what, He doesn't make everything perfect, but he
-
goes through everything with us and right now you can
-
be introduced to your creator. But more than that, you
-
can give you an assurance and a confidence that when
-
we leave this world physically that spiritually we live on,
-
that we get to live on in God. We call
-
that heaven, and it's so much better than without him.
-
So I want to give you an opportunity to come
-
to Jesus, to come to the foot across and while
-
every eye is closed. If that's to you today, would
-
you just raise your hand? Thank you? Anyone else the
-
first time or coming back to God today, I just
-
send me there's one more to someone else in the
-
whole right now, maybe they were on't like if you're
-
washing online, I'll encourage you write it in the chat
-
and I'm sure someone will check that afterwards and get
-
in touch with you. I'm going to pray for that
-
person who responded so LOI thank you, and as I'm
-
praying this, if you that person, you come back to God,
-
then I want to encourage you to make this prayer
-
your own. God. Today I come to you and I
-
give my life back to You, and I asked Lopie
-
to come into my life, come into my heart and
-
go through life with me. I want to know you,
-
and I want to be known by you for now
-
and for all eternity. Take my life. I'm making you
-
my Lord and Savior in Jesus' mighty name. Amen. Amen.
-
Can we give a round applause? Thank you,
