Thank you pas today and thank you everybody for coming
-
today and those listening online. Yeah, ma'am okay, most of
-
you know me, but for the doubt of those who
-
don't know me and those online. My name is Juliet Naga.
-
I originally come from me Uganda.
-
Yay, but I live in the UK and I also
-
in my spare time, I do run an orphanage in
-
Uganda called.
-
Above Father's House, which you know and which you most
-
of you support, Thank you very much. As we all know,
-
we are in the season of lent, whereby each one
-
of us is dealing with remembering what Jesus has done
-
on the cross. Differently, however, they are led by the spirit.
-
So thank you Jesus. So to start the salmon, I'm
-
gonna reed from Collations one twenty four to twenty seven.
-
I really want to get to the last verse, but
-
it's incomplete if I start from the last verse and
-
it says, so Father, thank you for this day that
-
you've made Holy Spirit. I depend on you to speak
-
anything from you grace the word, grace, our ears, our hearts,
-
and help us to receive from you, and help me
-
to deliver in Jesus' name. Amen. So it says, now
-
I rejoice in my suffering for you, and fill up
-
in my flesh what is lacking in the affliction of
-
Christ for the sake of his body, which is the
-
Church of which I became a minister to the stewardship
-
from God, which was given to me to fulfill the Word.
-
The mystery has been hidden from ages and from generations,
-
but now has been revealed to his saints. To them,
-
God will to make known what are the riches of glory?
-
And the mystery among the gentiles, which is Christ in you,
-
the hope of glory. I think we are all here
-
for that one thing. Christ in us is the hope
-
of glory. I'm also going to read John one fourteen.
-
Sorry about I didn't tell you. The title match of
-
my sermon is the mystery of Christianity through the Cross.
-
So that's why I'm reading things to do with the Cross.
-
And we are in Lent and this ideal to speak
-
about the cross. So John one fourteen says, and the
-
Word became flesh and relt and mangers, and we beheld
-
his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of
-
the Father, full of grace and truth. Christ sacrificed by
-
death on the cross, and the resurrection refers to the
-
reconciliation between God and humanity achieved. The Trinity is one
-
of the central mysteries of Christianity, referring to the existence
-
of one God in three persons. I et God, the Father, Son,
-
and the Holy Spirit. So that was my introduction. Now
-
I'm going to talk about the journey of the mystery.
-
We are born in the world as human beings and
-
raised the way of the world. But at some point
-
a mystery happens in our destiny, anywhereby we encounter God
-
or someone shares faith with us, and the quickening takes
-
place where we become born again, not through our mother's womb,
-
but supernaturally. As you can identify with me. Everyone has
-
a different experience of this new bath or being born again,
-
or conversion if you like, but the same God does
-
the work and we are given a measure of faith.
-
When we get born again, we become a new creation.
-
As it's written in Second Corinthians five seventeen. He says, therefore,
-
if anyone is in Christ is a new creation, all
-
things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
-
This is a mystery whereby our lives changed on that inside.
-
When we get checked, we get changed on the inside.
-
The next day we look the same and we'll feel
-
the same. So that is a mystery in its own way. Yeah.
-
We but we are left with the responsibility to seek
-
out this new life. Yeah, and to learn to live
-
in both the spiritual world and the natural world. What
-
are we gonna do? Are we gonna handle this? Yeah?
-
This requires us to nature and feed our new man
-
in order to experience the evidence of faith as well
-
as bare fruit both in our in our own lives
-
and growth, and also in witnessing and advancing the Kingdom
-
of God. So this really is where the challenge keeps.
-
The challenge comes in. I'm born in the world of
-
my mother. My mom dad taught me to live this way.
-
So how am I have I changed? But inside of
-
you you feel the bubbling, You feel the change. And
-
the good thing is that the Holy Spirit God doesn't
-
leave us on our own. Once his begotness, he fills
-
us with the Holy Spirit and we start. This quickening
-
stirs you up to want to know to this God
-
like you would want to go to a party if
-
you're still in the world and your thing is dancing,
-
you look forward to dancing. Likewise, if your believer, you
-
look forward to meeting with God. Yeah, when we get
-
converted into the newness of life, which cannot be seen
-
or tested and proved through that test tube to prove
-
our salvation. Yet we believe God, we beyond a doubt
-
that he is God, though he's invisible. Many of us
-
experience some degrees of change, sometimes through miracles, sometimes through wonders.
-
These miracles are helpful to help us remember when doubt
-
it comes in and you say well, because at some
-
point doubt comes in and you wonder, did I actually
-
hear God? Am I actually saved? But if you've had
-
some of these experiences, you just will go back to
-
say that he said, but he did this, and that
-
helps you to keep going. Nonetheless, if you haven't, do
-
not worry if you haven't had any encounter with God,
-
because the Lord Jesus encourages us in his statement that
-
blessed are those who have not seen yet they believe.
-
And that's John twenty twenty nine. And that takes me
-
to my next point of trusting the Lord is key
-
to our faith. Re Genesis twelve from verse one to four.
-
God asked Abraham to leave his country. So let's read.
-
God said to Abraham, get out of your country, from
-
your family, from your father's house, to a land which
-
I'll show you. Pretty much we can identify with that.
-
We didn't probably hear God saying get out of here,
-
But we are not residing with our parents. So somehow
-
we've been shifted and moved somewhere and there God is
-
separating us from in a kind of ways, separating us
-
from the world. Ma'm cooks this way. Dad says this.
-
And now he's exposing you to another life where you
-
can blossom, probably where you can hear him and start
-
working his way. And he says, I'll make you a
-
great nation. I'll bless you and make your name great,
-
and I'll be a blessing. How nice to be a blessing.
-
Our bless those who bless you. And I'll cuss him
-
who curses you, and in you all families of the
-
earth shall be blessed. What did Abraham do? He trusted God,
-
and so he departed as the Lord had spoken to him.
-
And Lord went with him. And Abraham was seventy five
-
years old when he departed from Haaren. Then Abrah, Abraham sorry.
-
Abraham took Sarah his wife, and Lot, his brother's son,
-
and all their possessions that they had gathered, and all
-
the people whom they had acquired in Aaron, and they
-
departed to go to the land of Canaan. So God
-
tells Abraham, but Abraham says, well, I'll take my people.
-
I need to go with my people. In Genesis fifteen,
-
verse five to six says to help God. For God
-
to help Abraham, it says God brought Abraham outside and said, look,
-
look now towards the heavens and count the stars. If
-
you're able to number them, and he said to him,
-
you shall, so shall your descendants be. And Abraham believed
-
the Lord, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
-
In various ways. We have also experienced this where God
-
has said something and we have believed, and it's accounted
-
to us again for righteousness. Although we are righteous in
-
Christ Jesus. Yeah, God is love, so faith must be present.
-
So love and faith must be present in us all times.
-
Upon these two we need add wisdom and knowledge, and
-
not the knowledge of the world, but the knowledge of
-
God to be able to discern right and wrong, not
-
only right and wrong. But as we live, we know
-
that we've had a generation Ma'm grandma, great great grandma.
-
Some of them were not believers. All shall we say
-
most of them are not believers. So then in this
-
discerning we need to examine as we read the word,
-
what is the words in? What is in me that
-
is not ideal? What is did I leard? What did
-
I carry forward that is not of the kingdom. It
-
is our responsibility to do that because many times we
-
fall we fall short because we've not taken trouble to
-
check what happens. Sometimes we can see similar patterns of something,
-
whether it's sickness. Where there's something, you will see it.
-
And at this point is when you need to bring
-
it to God to say, Dad, there is this in me,
-
deliver me from it and give me grace to not
-
take it on board. Yeah. And so by trusting and
-
applying God's truth in our lives, were able to see
-
manifestation of the mystery becoming tangible, where the impossible becomes possible.
-
I'm sure we have all seen areas in our lives
-
where what we thought was impossible God has made possible. Yeah,
-
let's take the example of Abraham a Kain and Sarah,
-
who were as past the age of child bearing in
-
Genesis twenty one, verse one to three. And he says,
-
the Lord visited Sarah, and and he said, And the
-
Lord so as he said, And the Lord did for
-
Sarah as he had spoken for Sarah conceived and boe
-
Abraham a son in his old age. That at the
-
time of which God had spoken to him, Abraham called
-
the name of his son who was born to him,
-
whom Sarah bow to him. It's like emphasizing it over
-
and over again. He called him Isaac. So we need
-
to be We also need to abide with God, abiding God,
-
pursue God. The things of the world are not the same.
-
We are bad. We are quickened from inside. So we
-
need also to abide with God. Great time with God,
-
so that we cannot identify. Oh God, allow God to
-
do some of the miracle through us as well. Now
-
that takes me to a simple question here. How can
-
we share the mystery with our communities? That was my
-
main focus here today. How can we share this mystery?
-
Because we know about the things I'm sharing already, well,
-
how can we effectively share this mystery with our communities? First,
-
Corinthians one eight one eighteen. I beg your pardon, he says,
-
for this for the message of the cross's foolishness, as
-
we sang earlier to those who are perishing, but to
-
us who are being saved. It is the power of God.
-
To most of our community, the ghost boils foolishness, if
-
not all. And some of them worship idols. Some of
-
them say I don't worship anything, but if you check,
-
they actually worship something. Yeah. First, and more importantly, we
-
need to let God's love when we are going to
-
reach out. That's when we are intending reach our We
-
need to get God's love take root in us in
-
order to be able to deal with the responses from
-
their community. Those who have been out. You know how
-
hard it is. You're gonna talk to somebody and he'll
-
give you a mouthful. So you need to have the
-
love of God to be able to bear up and
-
to find an answer, to say to him and to
-
forgive them and to let go. But your purpose is
-
wanting to succeed in this person. So first join four
-
seven from seven to eleven, says beloved, let us love
-
one another, for love is of God, and everyone who
-
is Everyone who loves is born of God and knows God.
-
He who does not love does not know God. For
-
God is love. In this the love of God was
-
manifested towards us. That God will has sent his only
-
begotten son into the world that we might live through
-
him in this love. Not that we loved God, but
-
He first loved us and sent his son to be
-
appropiation for our sins. Beloved, If God so loved us,
-
we also need ought to do it love another one another.
-
Sometimes we talk, we think about love and anything. We
-
go to the market. I love this, I love you,
-
I love your dress, something. But we are talking about
-
the love of God. He says, we need we ought
-
to love one another. And this is bath through our
-
seeking and hiding with God so that He melts away
-
the wrath, the corruptible seed that was so done in
-
us from the wicked one. When we are born, we
-
are born with these things, will live as the city lives.
-
If I live in this city, the people of this
-
city do things this way. So you need the love
-
of the love of God is what we are talking
-
about here. Secondly, we need to be aware of the
-
strongholds in the community that in the Gospel as God
-
shows us, and to root them out as we got
-
to witness to them. What are strongholds? Know that I'm
-
talking about strongholds? Are the deep rooted generation attachments or
-
if not, allow me to call them demons that affect
-
our lives, if not dealt with and deprove, deprive us
-
from advancing the kingdom. So we take from well read
-
from Detronomy away some of the ways God advised the
-
children of Israel, and how Jesus in the New Testament
-
tells us to handle these things. Tetronome trail of two
-
to three says you shall you shall utterly destroy all
-
the places where the nations which you shall possess, serve
-
their gods, on the high mountains, on the hills, and
-
under every green tree. And you shall destroy their oats,
-
break their sacred pillars, and burn their wooden images with fire.
-
You shall cut down their carved images of their gods,
-
and destroy their name. From this place. So Jesus says
-
in the New Testament, I'm gonna take it only from
-
mark now mark three twenty seven. Now when one no
-
one can enter a strong man's house and plunder his
-
goods unless he first binds the strong man and then
-
he will plunder his house. Yes, we cannot well people
-
to Christ whilst they are still held by strongholds. We cannot.
-
So we need to go. We need to. Later on,
-
I'm gonna share about how we can raise others to
-
pray together to bring this stronghold down, one from us
-
first of all, and then from the community. So is
-
it says so and so he's got a stronghold. What
-
about you? Yeah, we can say we are born again,
-
but we are not flowing how God says we should.
-
We are still short of so many things. So we
-
need That's when I said we need to identify these strongholds.
-
Our faith has to be active, not that. Take for example,
-
the children of Visor Daniel Mischakabedigo. They had this story.
-
They lived their life that was godly. They were committed
-
to God. So now they are taken into captivity and
-
guess what they are told it? This is that? What
-
this is? How we live here? Worship this idol? And
-
they say, no, sir, even if it goes us life,
-
we ain't gonna do that. Can we do that? Life?
-
Time is coming? You see war going on. We never
-
know where we are ending. Yeah, but we need to
-
be prepared. We need It's not a joke. Christianity seems easy,
-
but it's challenging to live. So we need to get
-
ready to where we can be like these boys. Yeah,
-
so where is your missive? If I may ask you
-
a question, where are you in this journey of the mystery?
-
Where are you? I'm gonna say, encourage you and me
-
to say, we already a new creation. We are children
-
of God. If we have already invited Christ into our
-
life and given us God to be Lord in our lives.
-
So we already on a good record. We are already
-
in the right place. Shall I say? The Holy Seed
-
of God has been has already been sown into our hearts,
-
and we have been we have been given a measure
-
of faith. As it were. God didn't just damp us.
-
Gives us a measure of faith. It gives us the
-
Holy Spirit. It gives us the word of God. Now, child,
-
read your word and find me there. Yeah, so, Roman says.
-
Romans tell says, I said, though I say, through the
-
grace given to me, to everyone who is a mang
-
you not to think of himself highly than he ought
-
to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt
-
to each one of us a measure of faith. I'm
-
trying to prove what I said to you is also
-
give power doubt his love into our hearts, which we need.
-
The love was talking about earlier Romans. Fife says, So,
-
so Jesus Christ, the very seed of God is the
-
source of life. He's in us, and everything we need
-
is already in us and with us. If we just
-
need to believe, so ready in us. It's not visible.
-
You cannot test it, the doctor cannot test it, find it.
-
But it's there. Yes, So for that reason we need
-
I would say I would liken it too. When a
-
house is built, the houses we live in, we find
-
them built. There is power, there's water the thing. So
-
you enter into the house and all you got to
-
do is turn on the light. If you need the light,
-
you want the water, turn on the top. On the
-
other hand, if you are in that house and you
-
don't turn on the light, you live in darkness, won't you.
-
And then you go without a shower or cap of
-
tea because you've not done what turned on the tap
-
to get water out of it. So our faith is
-
within us. But the difference between one who sees God
-
more is that time they spend with God. Sometimes we
-
think sons it's called disanointed. There's a lot of investment
-
behind the scene for people to bring anything tangible. So
-
that's what we need to do. Are we there, That's
-
what I'm saying. Where is that? Where are we in
-
this mystery? Let's take Egham. We want to take Eggham,
-
but we are not just going to walk to Eggerm
-
and say hi, Egam, come here. No, we need to
-
really take individual responsibility and corporate responsibility to first of all,
-
wait on God to give us what is the stronghold
-
in this area, and then we pray the grace to
-
we pull it down. It may take forever, but we
-
will get there. And then obviously our one needs to
-
come out as well. For example, what shall I say
-
if I lived in a family that lived on stealing. Yeah,
-
I'm born again, but the spirit that I'm not quickly
-
going to stop stealing. Yeah. I give you a quick
-
example when we bought again, when we got born again,
-
that we were in a place we started arguing about alcohol.
-
Some of you saw those of you who take alcohol,
-
and you were saying, oh, you can drink a little,
-
and I said to myself, what is this alcohol and
-
that can be equal to God? Yeah, at the time
-
I was taking alcohol, not as a drunkard. Yeah, but
-
when I thought, no, this cannot there is no way
-
compared to God. So I said, Holy Spirit helped me
-
to hate this thing. That's exactly what happened. I've never
-
desired a drink. And the one time I went with
-
my friends and tested wine for the we were not
-
drinking wine, but we were taking Holy Communion. At that night.
-
God told me that what you've done is what you
-
would have done before you got a bone. Again, those
-
from Africa and probably other places know that there are
-
things we don't say we don't eat. Yeah, I don't
-
know some of you identify with that. You don't eat
-
the cow, you don't eat that because our client doesn't
-
eat that. So he told me what you did is
-
like you would have done that. I said, I'm so sorry.
-
That's why you see me not even taking Holy communion
-
with with wine. But I'm not stopping those of you
-
who take it. By the way, for the record, that's
-
my thing. Yeah. So so we going on, going forward,
-
we need to take on board what God said to
-
the Israelized, take take that, pull down the otters, the
-
strongholds you're going to in the country where you're going.
-
You won't be able to live well with these, so
-
first take them down. And then of course even Jesus
-
tells us to buy the strong man. So we need
-
to buy these strong men in the city in us
-
so that we ask God for deliverance. You sit down,
-
ask the Holy Spirit to show you what is not right,
-
as Kim to help to deliver you from it, and
-
you be free from it. And the same thing goes
-
with when we are reaching out, we meet, we raise
-
up holders, to meet the community, and then God tells
-
you the community you're going theb this is the thing,
-
this is the stronghold. Deal with it. So by the
-
time you go, if you've already dealt with it, you're
-
able to speak to people's hearts and they are able
-
to listen to what we are supposed to do. Her
-
maney with time past a day, okay, and then we
-
need to continue our faith daily. It's not something we
-
visit once in a while. We need to continue daily.
-
We need to when we have identified this idols or
-
things that we are doing contrary, or somebody comes and
-
says that a wicked word to you, or anything. We
-
got to be like Jesus take it like Jesus didn't
-
look for for to twelve. I'm not gonna read there.
-
But Jesus overcame Satain by saying it's written, It's written. Whatever.
-
He says for us to say that we need to
-
know the word. So when anything comes, he says, their
-
voice written. Yeah, and once he knows you know what
-
you're saying, he will certainly depart from you for that day. Yeah, Satain.
-
Many users fear to attack us, and Isaiah fifty one
-
here tells us to not fear. As he says Isaiah
-
fifty one, I'm only just going to read verse thirteen D,
-
which says you have feared continually every day because of
-
the fury of the oppressor when he has prepared to destroy.
-
If you are devoid of the truth, the enemy will
-
take advantage and bring scary things, and you don't even
-
know how to to come out of them. You're gonna
-
run to pastor Dave, gonna run to somebody else to
-
pray for you. Sometimes they are not even available. Yeah,
-
and you stress. So Jesus has already overcome the devil,
-
and we needn't be intimidated by the devil any longer. So,
-
sister brother, make it. Let's make it our business. That
-
is what I'm requesting. Let's if you online, make it
-
your business. Two, routinely meet with God and make him
-
the anchor of your life. All these I mean. It's
-
too difficult to find time as it is, Yeah, too difficult.
-
But if it's priority, then I may not eat food
-
that day, the time I would have spent cooking and
-
sitting down to eat, I can invest it in doing
-
what in seeking God. Yeah, that's one way. Some of
-
us can stay on TV for hours, sow that to
-
God and see how He will quicken you. And that's
-
the more you do it, the more television will become
-
of no value to you. The more you do that,
-
you find most of the things stressing you are not
-
a point any longer because you've sown your life into
-
a into the right place. Yeah, and this is it's
-
important to raise alters. Yeah, we alters. What are olters? Though?
-
Outers are places where we can choose to meet God.
-
There secret places where individuals or a team of people
-
or churches can need to connect with God. These various
-
can be in video orters. You need to have an
-
ltar that is burning within you that even if you're
-
not talking or you're on the street, I see someone here,
-
I want to embarrass them. Praying in tanks all the time. Yeah,
-
and that's how we need to be. You need to
-
keep your focused on the Lord so that he can
-
show you things that you don't know, things that you
-
need to know, but you don't know them. Yeah. So
-
we need to learn from Jesus his example, like he
-
always separated himself from the crowd after teaching, he separated
-
himself from the crowd and prayed, and by the time
-
we came out was he knew what is going to happen.
-
He was full is full of anction to function. That's
-
why we see that Jesus said get up and walk,
-
and he walked and people walked. But we think we
-
can do that without separating ourself and getting lead and
-
getting hot and quickened by God, we will only be
-
frustrated and we even start thinking that the world of
-
God doesn't work. But does Yeah, it does? Yes. So
-
if we learn from this, then also continue daily to
-
look at us this life is new, look at you
-
in a mirror or somewhere and say, boy, I'm a
-
child of God. I'm blessed, I'm favored, I am enriched
-
with spiritual, physical, financial grace. I lack nothing even if
-
you're skined. That's what you're saying to yourself, and you're
-
drawing the grace. The grace starts to man, I'm not accusable.
-
God is my defense. God is my representative. Yeah, do
-
not mess with me, this child, do not. So these
-
are things we do behind the scene, and faith begins
-
to increase and to bubble. And when you speak them
-
to yourself, confidence comes and you start believing what you
-
just declared. And then you practice it. Start with your card,
-
tell the cat to be well, tell that dog to
-
be well. Before you know it, you start seeing evidence.
-
Yeah and well. Faith. In closing, the Word says, faith
-
is a substance of things hoped for, the evidence of
-
things not seen. Faith comes by hearing and hearing by
-
the word of God. Let us increase our intake of
-
the Word to boost our faith and to keep convicted,
-
to keep alive and to overcome a stuccles as they come,
-
as they come out to attack us, and allow the
-
Holy Spirit to lead us. Yeah, if the things we
-
pay attention to, they will take pre eminence in us.
-
I can be a Christian who comes to charge on Sunday,
-
But if I'm the rest of the day and that
-
week I'm gonna be busy doing other things, they will
-
take over. They will take I will only be a
-
bubbly Christian without seeing any result. And it's not that good.
-
So if we want to see God at work, we
-
need to say to speak and eat the word and pray. Yeah,
-
and pray, And prayer can be a very very prayer
-
can be a very difficult thing, but it's key to
-
our faith, to our living. So many times we say
-
we are praying when we haven't actually even prayed. So
-
but what is the best way to pray? The Bible
-
says we know not what we pray for as we ought.
-
I think that's in romance hate. So what would we
-
do come before God? Surrender lies to him? Because trust
-
that God loves us, is the one who called us
-
to this faith, and he knows what we need, He
-
knows what we are going through, and praise him, magnify
-
him above the problems we are going through. And before
-
you know it, things issues begin to diminish, and the
-
faith of God and the Holy Spirit starts to minister
-
to you. The sonship, the belonging with God starts to come.
-
And then you who didn't know what to pray, you'll
-
find yourself with words to pray, because God has given
-
you those words declaring these things. One past time, you
-
gan that said shared something out of saying, you have
-
to declare these things to yourself. So he went to
-
preach the gospel in a certain area and in the
-
night he was attacked with the Islamic demons that were
-
in the area, and he felt something get enter his body.
-
But because he keeps profit, he kept declaring, and that
-
is his lifestyle. He had the demon saying, oh, we
-
can't get through another and saying you sent me here.
-
I'm on fire, please come send me, send me help,
-
and the others we can't do anything because the man
-
keeps speaking Jesus. He keeps declaring, Now we can't and
-
we are stuck here, you know what I mean. So
-
he had that and he tells us you need even
-
if it's a sickness, speak to the body, say be healed, sickness.
-
You're not part of me. And that's the advantage we
-
have as believers poverty. You're not my potion.
-
I'm rich.
-
My father owns a thousand cows on a hill cart
-
on you. And we have a limited time here on earth,
-
and once we are gone, everything we owned will not matter,
-
and only what we sold in the kingdom of our
-
father will matter. And I shared with you a problem
-
that I had on seventh of January, where I passed out.
-
I didn't elaborate too much, but I passed out. So
-
many things happened, But because I had these words within me,
-
when I saw things going funny, I stood there and declared,
-
I shall not die, but live to declare the Kingdom
-
of God. I'm a child of God. Not evil formed
-
against me will prosper. In that little time I managed
-
to put those words. And who knows whether that's what
-
saved me. One would say, well, Juliet, people pass out
-
all the time, and yes, well you, but some die.
-
Yeah yeah, So I pray that my sharing would have
-
touched you, would have encouraged you somehow. Young people, you
-
have a lord. The generation. The world is getting tougher
-
and you, young people, we are trusting you, and we
-
want to build and pray the Kingdom of God to
-
be so active in you that you may change the
-
culture of and godliness. Accept it and we will stand
-
with you. More importantly, the spirit of God will do
-
what will do a work in you and change this
-
generation for God. Yeah. Yeah, Now, if you're not born
-
again and you're in the house, we want to pray
-
with you because the things have been sharing and not
-
yours till you give your life to Jesus. Yeah. If
-
your unline is so simple, just call upon the name
-
of the Lord a scheme to forgive your saying and
-
come into your life and be your lord and king.
-
Praise the Lord, have a bless week, and thank you
-
for listening. Glory
