A Call To Seekers (John 12:20-26)

If you have your Bible, it's turning with me to

John Gospel John's chapter twelve. If you will Gospel John

chapter twelve, this morning, chapter twelve, and we're gonna start

this morning.

And verse twenty John Chapter twelve, starting a verse twenty.

I remember on Easter Sunday as a child. Every Easter Sunday,

we would go to my grandmother's house and all of

us would get together. We'd have a meal, and at

some point Grandma would get.

Some eggs out like these, and she.

Would go around the yard and different places in the

yard and she'd hide these Easter eggs. And then after

the meal we would all have a certain time that

all of us grandchildren would go out and we would

search the highways and the hedges for these little Easter eggs,

and she would she would have She would hide them

in the magnolia tree, she would hide them in the

little or spouts along the house, different places, but there.

Was always one egg.

You'd be looking for all the eggs, and you knew

in these eggs they'd be some little candy inside of them,

but there'd be one egg and only one.

Person would find it.

And then that prize egg they'd be a little cash,

a whole lot, think of like five bucks. But hey,

for us it's grandchildren, that was a lot of money.

You know today, you know in that moment as a child,

all of us participated, all the grandchildren participated, and we

were all seeking.

We were all seeking to.

Find those eggs, to find that prize eggs. You know,

this morning, I wonder, as you come on a Sunday morning,

on Easter Sunday, what are you seeking? What are you

by coming this morning? What are you seeking? Maybe today

you're seeking to be with your family this morning and

worship together in church. Maybe this morning you come to

dress out in your fit or your Easter outfit and

want to get a picture for social media later on.

Or maybe today you come you're seeking Jesus this morning.

As we come to John chapter twelve, today, in this passage,

we see seekers. We see some who are seeking Jesus

that morning. They're looking to find Jesus.

They're not looking for the prize of a candy or

a dollar. They're trying to find Jesus.

And this morning, I want you to see, this morning,

as we explore this pasture together, what Jesus calls how

Jesus calls to these seekers what questions he wants them

to consider. And this morning, as you come, I.

Hope today you come seeking Jesus.

And today I want you to hear from the Lord,

from Jesus himself, of what questions Jesus calls you today

as a seeker. We stand with me, and let's read

God's word together. It's John chapter twelve, Starn, verse twenty.

When we're just through verse twenty six. This morning, the

Bible says, now among those who went up to worship

at the feast were some Greeks. And these came to Philip,

who was from Bassdia and Galilee, and ask them, Sir,

we wish to see Jesus. And Philip went and told Andrew.

And Andrew and Philip went and told Jesus, and Jesus

answered them, listen to this. The hour has come for

the son of Man to be glorified. Truly, truly, I

say to you, unless a grain of wheat falls unto

the earth and dies, it remains alone. But if it dies,

it bears much fruit. He says in verse twenty five.

Whoever loves his life loses it, and whoever hates his life,

and this world will keep it for eternal life. If

anyone serves me, he must follow me where I am,

there will be my servant also. And if anyone serves me,

my father will honor him. Let's pray together, Father, we

come today. Lord, we come seeking you, Lord Jesus, and Lord,

I pray that as a body that's gathered together today, Lord,

do you bring us from different places, from different families,

from different circumstances. But Lord, I pray today as we

gather together in harmony, in unity, Lord, we come seeking you.

Lord Today, Lord, I pray the Lord that you would

honor the posture of our hearts today. And Lord, today,

as we seek you, Lord, today, we may find you.

Lord.

May we hear your voice through your word. May you

hear your voice through the speak of your spirit. And

as your spirit speaks through your word. Lord, I pray

today that we would have hearts that would open to

your gospel, to your message, and we would have hearts

that would surrender, Lord to your word. Lord, So lead

us now through your word. Lord, I pray. I'm a

desperate man. Lord, that's desperate Lord for you. Today, Lord,

I pray the Lord that I might decrease.

That you might increase in me.

Lord, I pray the Lord, may the words of my

mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing.

Lord to you to now.

And Lord, I pray that you would feel me, that

you might pour me out. Lord, that today they would

not move leave this place, moved by a song, moved

by my words. Lord, I pray today they'd be moved

by your spirit. So Lord, feel us and move in

us today.

In your name, we pray. Amen, you may be seated.

As we begin, look at won't you look at this

pastor scripture want you first as we begin. I think

it's important to ask who are these seekers? The Bible

tells us in verse twenty that among those who went

up to worship at the.

Feast, there were some Greeks.

The Bible tells us the seekers here this morning in

this passage, he identifies them. The gospel writer Johnny identifies

these as Greeks. Who are these Greeks? And it refers

the term Greeks. It refers to someone who speaks Greek.

It was known as someone who was a gentile, someone

who did not worship Judaism, but is who spoke Greek.

It doesn't necessarily mean that they were Greeks, being native Greeks,

it just means that they may be gentiles who spoke

the Greek language at the time Greco Roman world who

Greek language was the predominant language at the time in

many different places throughout Jerusalem, in different areas, and so

here it's someone who speaks Greek.

But it was termed.

It was used in the Bible by God for writers

to describe unbelievers, unbelievers.

Who were leaking for Jesus.

We know in Acts and other passive scripture when we

see this term Greek, so it refers to what we

understand has another term used for people who's seeking Jesus,

and they're called god fears. If you remember an Ax,

there was a man named Corneus. Corneus is described as

a god fear. Corneus was Greek. He was a gentile

who spoke the Greek language. But he also Scripture tells

us an Acts he was a god fear.

What does that mean? What does a god fear mean?

What does that mean?

In that idea, The idea was here were people.

Who were gentiles, who were people who did not follow

the Lord, did not follow Judaism, but they desired it.

They saw the God of the Jews as.

Someone that they looked to, they were curious over, they

were inquisitive over. They desired to know more about the

God of the Jews. And so forth, these gentiles, these Greeks.

Would seek the God of the Jews.

They would go to the sin of God, and they

would go to the I mean the Temple. And there

in the temple there would be the court of the Gentiles,

and that was a place that people.

Who were not Jews could go and worship.

And then there was a sign there was a limited

place where they could come in the Temple, and they

would go, and they would go to explore.

They would go.

To understand who this God of the Jews is. Well,

that saying God fears is who we see in John

chapter twelve, verse twenty. These are men who've been to

the temple, tell us. The scripture tells us that in

verse twenty. Now among those who went up to worship

at the feast, here these Greeks are God fears. They

know there's something about the God of the Jews.

And they have been to the Temple.

They've been to the Court of the Gentiles, they've been

the worship there, and there among some point, as they

went to worship God, they've heard something about Jesus. Maybe

they heard that Jesus overthrow the tables. We don't know

exactly what they've heard, but they've heard something about Jesus,

and now they've come seeking Jesus. And Scripture tells us

verse twenty Now, among those who went up to worship

at the feasts were some Greeks. And so what do

they do? Verse twenty one tells us what they do?

Verse twenty one. They come to Philip. Why Philip. Philip

is one of the twelve disciples. We know Phillip's name. Actually,

Philip is a Greek name, and some say that he

came to Philip because he had a Greek name, so

they thought that maybe he was had some Greek background.

He spoke Greek.

Also, some say they were from Decapolis, which is one

of the Greek cities, and the closest city to Thecopolist

was Bastia, and Scripture tells us that Philip, who was

from Bastia Galilee. So maybe they say, hey, this guy

is kind of from our region. He's from our hometown,

he's from near where we're from. He's the one we

should talk to, but we don't know exactly what. But

they go to Philip and Philip at this point, you

have to understand, you come to this gospel. Jesus's ministry

has been focused on the Jews sharing the gospel with

the f sees the Jews. And then the first time

in this passage scripture, we see the gentiles now coming

to Jesus. And in this passage Philip he.

Doesn't know what Jesus is going to say.

That these gentiles who were in the Jewish minds outside

of being able to find God, there was only certain

places they could worship. In many minds of the Jews,

these were seen as outcasts. Philip doesn't know what to do,

and so what does Philip doing Verse twenty two. Philip

goes to Andrew. Scripture tells us and he went and

told Andrew. And then here Andrew and Philip come together

and they come to Jesus. Another thing that we know

about these seekers this morning, these Greek god fears are

seeking to know who Jesus is. We know they're persistent

the Greek word there, and Philip went and told Andrew.

And Philip went and told Jesus.

But you look at verse twenty one and from he

was from Bath, and they asked him.

They wanted to see that. The term here is.

They kept on asking. They've persistently asked Philip. They're wanting

to see. Another thing we know about these god fears

is that they want to know. They want to understand.

They're seeking Jesus. The term to see, and we understand

that term is to interview. It means it's set down

with someone, and to interview them you would have to understand.

They would readily be able to see Jesus. Jesus was

passing by. Jesus had gone into the temple. He passed

down through many different areas, so they would see him

in many different places. They're wanting more than just seeing Jesus.

They want to interview, they want to know him. And

I want you to see in this passage of scripture

how Jesus responds to them. To these gentiles. Again, this

is the first time we see gentiles who are seeking Jesus.

And I want you to see what Jesus says to them.

Look at verse twenty three, and Jesus answered them, says,

the hour has come for the son of Man to

be glorified.

It's very interesting.

If you go to verse nineteen and verse nineteen, we

see the Jews. The Jews are represented in verse nineteen

by the Pharisees. This is a group within a sect,

if you will, within the Jews. And it says so

the Pharisees said to one another, you see that they're

gaining nothing. Look, the world has gone after him, you see.

The Jews have had came to a place where the

Jews are now rejecting Jesus. Jesus had pursued the Jews.

He has sought the Jews. He was seeking to share

with them who he really was, and the Jews are

now turning him away. And in turn, John is showing

when the Jews start turning Jesus away, there's another group

who begins seeking Jesus. And who is It's the gentiles,

It's these God fears, and in that moment it is

a bit of a trigger for Jesus. Up into John's Gospel,

there's this all through up to up to chapter twelve.

You see Jesus referring to an hour, an hour's coming.

But the imagery of the hour is this hour's not yet,

but there's an hour coming that Jesus keeps running, referring

to but that hour is always in the future. In

chapter twelve, in verse twenty four here or twenty three,

a switch hits. Jesus stops saying the hour is coming.

And now Jesus says the hour is come. Why is

that significant? For Jesus, he was pursuing, pursuing, pursuing, sharing

himself with the Jews. The moment the Gentiles begins seeking him,

that is the switch that flips that now is the

time for me to go to my death. You see,

for the hour for Jesus is very important for the

hour of Jesus. The hour for Jesus represented his death.

His resurrection, and his exhortation.

So when Jesus says the hour has come, he's saying,

now it's time for me to go die. Now is

time for me to die. Now it's time that God's

appointing for me to die. Now it's time for me

to die. Then I'm gonna raise again, and then God's

going to exalt me to heaven.

It's now the time for that.

All this time before I've been doing my ministry, I've

been doing the miracles.

But when the Gentiles come, it's time for me to die.

You know why, because Jesus explains this, and he explains

us further listen to because this is so important, he says.

He describes it even more in this passage. He says,

the hour has come for the son of Man to

be glorified. Not only is the hours come for my death,

but it's time for me to be glorified. What Jesus

understanding is is what Jesus referring to. As you think

about Jesus, and you think about all that Jesus did,

the miracles, the raising lazards from the dead, healing the blind,

walking on water, all those different miracles, and all those miracles.

He gave God glory, right.

But Jesus knew the greatest demonstration of giving God.

Glory would actually be his death.

And so Jesus says, the hour has come that I

might die, and the hour of time has come that

I might give God the ultimate glory through my death

and resurrection and exaltation. But I want you to understand

as you look through that understanding for Jesus. For Jesus

that all came when the gentiles sought him. What you

see as he walks through this, he explains something else

about his death. He's alluding to this, and he uses

analogy of that his death is to come. In verse

twenty twenty four, he uses truly truly, that means, listen,

this is really true. This is it's a point of emphasis.

Truly truly. He's saying, I say to you, unless a

grain of wheat falls into the earth dies, it remains alone.

But if it dies, it bears much fruit.

Jesus is using the analogy of a grain of wheat

dying and falling to the ground and in its death

at what produces this fruit? Jesus is explaining that I

now must die what I that I might produce the

fruit of what your salvation you see. For Jesus, it

was the pursuit of a seekers. It was the outcasts

who were seeking Jesus that triggered Jesus's death and glorification.

Do you know today Jesus.

Died that you might know him. Jesus died that you

might find him. Jesus died that you might know the

power of the cross. Jesus died that you might see

the glory of the cross this morning. Do you recognize, seeker,

that Jesus died so that you might know how he

died and rose again for you, that you might know him,

and you might have a relationship with him, and you

are the fruit that he pursued this morning. I want

you to see that Jesus not only recognized that it

was the seeking of the gentiles that began his ministry,

but he calls these seekers. He calls us today. I

want he calls us a few questions. I want you

to see what he says in this passage. To look

at verse twenty five.

He says, whoever loves his life loses it.

Whoever hates his life, and this world will keep it

for eternal life.

The first question he asked.

For these seekers first question, I think we all must

ask his first which life do you love? In this

pastor of scripture, Jesus after describing that it is now time,

the hour has come for his death, the resurrections and exaltation.

Is now the time that He's going to glorify God

through his death that will bear fruit of the gospel,

that salvation will go to the Jews into the gentiles.

Now Jesus calls the seekers and he says to the seekers,

which life do you love? And in this he's contrasting.

He's comparing, contrasting. He gives two examples, which life do

they love? There's two lives in this passes. It's this life,

it is today. It's the life that we live while

we live on this earth, or how many every years,

many years, God gives us.

It's this life. Do you love?

This life or the other life that he gives an

example of in this passage's eternal Life? And Jesus asks

seekers to consider which life do you love? And then

he first describes this first one look at the passage

of scripture. He says, whoever loves this life loses it.

Whoever hates this life and this world will keep it.

The one who loves this life is one who lives

for this life. They live to fulfilled in this life.

They live to find happiness in this life. They live

for their desires, their wants, their plans. They look for

life and their abilities, their academics, their hobbies, their athletics,

their careers, their achievements. They love the life that is

here in what they can find in this life. They

look for life and love in relationships with family, friends,

co workers, classmates. He looks for life and his materials

and his homes his cars, whose retirement he describes one

who loves this life. I think of this. Think of

the story. You remember the story in Mark chapter ten.

There's a story of a rich young ruler. Scripture describes

it comes to Jesus. He too is a seeker. He's

looking to find out who Jesus is. He's looking to

find eternal life. He goes to Jesus and he says,

good teacher, what must I do.

To inherit eternal life?

And Jesus says to him, do not murder, do not

commit adulter, do not still, do not bear false witness,

do not defraud. Honor your father and your mother. And

the richer ungruler thinks, great man, I'm looking for eternal life,

and I've done all these things. And he says to Jesus,

I've done all those things.

And Jesus says to this.

He says to him, teacher, I've kept all these from

my youth. And Jesus looking at him and loved him

and said to him, you like one thing, go and

sell all that you have, give to the poor, and

you'll have treasure in heaven. Come and follow me. Scripture

says to the rich ungruler left disheartened by the saying,

and he went away sorrowful, for he had great possessions.

You see, the rich young ruler who saw Jesus. He

wanted a relationship with Jesus. He wanted the eternal things

of heaven, but he loved the things of this world

more than he loved the things of God.

And Jesus is using that example here.

He's asking you and I today, as we seek him,

and as we seek the one who is because we

sought him that he went to the cross, he died

and rose again, And he's asking you and I today,

which life do you love? Is your love that you

have of this life and in this life alone. The

other example that he gives in this passage is one

who doesn't love this life, but he gives the contrasting instead,

they what hate this life? Look at the passage and

verse twenty five. Whoever loves this life loses it. Whoever

hates this life in this world.

You think of the term, it's not literal hating life.

It's a term that's found in other places in scripture,

like Matthew twenty I mean Matthew six, verse twenty one.

It says no one can serve two masters, he would

hate one and love the other. Who were devoted to

one to despise the other. You cannot serve God and

money is the term that you will love one or

the other. You can't love both things. It gives another

example in Luke fourteen and verse twenty six. If anyone

comes after me and does not hate his own father

and mother, and his wife and children are brother and sister. Yes,

even his own life, he cannot be my disciple. In

contrasting compared to loving the things in this life, when

we love God more than we love the things in this.

World, it looks like we hate the things of this world.

And so that's what Jesus is referring to, is loving

God above self and more than things in this life.

If you hate this life, then you in turn you

love God in eternal life. It's the same thing that

John said right in one John two fifteen. Do not

love the world or the things of the world. If

anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is

not in him. All that is in the world, the

desires of the flesh, the desires of the eyes, of

the pride of life, It is not from the Father

but it's from the world.

The world is.

Passing away along with its desires. But whoever does the

wild of God abides forever. Children, it is the last hour,

as you have heard from them of Christ's coming. I

ask you today, which life do you love? Do you

love this life more than the life to come? Do

you love your life more than God? Do you love

your desire more than God's desire for you? Do you

love the things of this world more than the things

of God?

It's a calling to all.

Seekers, Which life do you love? Second question, Jesus asked here,

which will you receive?

Do you know what you love.

Demonstrates what you will one day receive. That's what Jesus

says in this passage of scripture. He says, whoever loves

his life, what in turn loses it? Whoever hates his

life in this world will keep it. And this passage again,

he's using this comparing contrast to give them two contrasting things,

those who love versus those who hate. Now, he's those

who love. What will happen to those who they love

the things in this life? He says, what they'll lose it.

But those who love the things of eternal life, who

love God what they in turn will keep it and do.

A man once and he was a man who had

acquired him any things in this world. He was a

small business owner in d C. And he had built

a great big business there in d C. Made a

lot of money. And he was from not from d C.

Was from another state and where I was pastoring at

the time.

And after he would kind of retire, he would.

Sell his business and move back home to his family farm,

and there him and his wife, they would have no children,

and she would die her own and he would live

in that little house that they had on that farm,

and had a little house and a little car. But

he had a lot of money, a lot of money

from his business. One day I was concerned about him.

He had many things in his life, but I wasn't

sure that he had Jesus. And me and another church

member went to his house and I began asking him

about whether he received Jesus. You see my concern for

that church member that day was in this life he

received a lot of things. He had had a great business,

his successful career. He had a wonderful wife, he had

a home, he had a car, he had a lot

of money. He had a lot of money in retirement

and stocks.

But slowly he was losing it.

All.

He had lost his wife, he no longer had his business,

he was losing his health, and all he had left

was his money. And I knew one day death was

coming and everything that he had acquired in this life

he was going to lose it. Can I ask you today,

do you recognize today the things that you love in

this life? Do you recognize they're all passing away? The

ones that you love one day will too pass away.

I will pass away. All of us in this room

will pass away, so relationships, they will all pass away.

The money you have in your checking account today is

going to pass away. The beautiful home that you have

one day will pass away. That old, nice truck or

car that you have one day is going to pass away.

Everything that you're holding on to in this life will

pass away. And Jesus says, today, what do you love?

Do you love the things of this life or do

you love the things of their eternal that will last forever.

And whatever you love is whatever you will keep, He says,

Not only if you love the things of this world

you'll lose it. But listen, look at the passage of scripture.

Whoever loves his life loses it. But whoever hates his

life in this world? What will keep it? Will keep

it for eternal life? I wonder today as we think

about this, it also describes another comparing contrast. For those

who love the things of this world, one day they'll

lose it and any eternity, what will they receive hell, judgment,

complete loss?

For those who hate the things.

Of this life but love the God who died for them,

who loved Jesus, who seek him, what will they receive?

Heaven and the treasures of heaven and a relationship with

the one who.

Died for them.

I'll ask you today, what do you love? What will

you receive? Which life do you love? What will you

receive an eternity? Are you going to lose it all?

Or one day?

Will you keep the things of heaven? Lastly, today, this

morning Jesus says, how will you serve? In verse twenty six,

he says, if anyone serves me, he must follow me

where I am. There my servant will be. Also, if

anyone serves me, the Father will honor him. If anyone

serves him. He's describing if we love him and we

love him and surrender our life to him, then we

will serve him.

How do we serve Jesus?

Where the scripture describes that if anyone serves me, how

do we serve him?

He must follow me? How do we follow Jesus?

Jesus just described how he served the Lord?

Right?

How did he serve the Lord by dying? A call

to follow Jesus, A call to serve Jesus is a

call to die, a.

Die to self, a die to sin, a die of

setting our.

Own rules, living however we please.

We are called to die to our own rulership, of

our own lives. We are called to die to our desires,

our comfort, our pleasures, and our glory. We're called to

die to our own self righteousness. Jesus calls us.

To die.

And say, Lord, my life is in is yours, and

it's in your hands. What does Jesus promise if we

follow his example, if we surrender our life and die

to self? Listen to this? This is verse twenty six.

If anyone serves me, he must follow me, And where

I am there will my servant be?

Also? What's God's promise? You say? Today? Lord?

I want you to these gentile seekers who were following

Jesus looking for Jesus. He asked them, what do you love?

Do you love all these things you've been trying to

find in this world?

Or do you love me? Or what will you keep?

Or are you going to try to hold on to

all these things in the world, seeking after things that

one day you're going to lose? Are you seeking the

one thing that's eternal and that's a relationship with me.

One day?

Are you seeking to things that you will keep in heaven?

Are you seeking to things that will pass away in

this world? If you say you want to follow me,

will you die? Will you be willing to die to

yourself and follow me? Was the promise for you and

I if we seek this Jesus, if we to render

and serve him and follow him, The promise is, listen

to this, He will be with you. You may lose

your home, you may lose your car, you may lose

your relationships, you may lose all the things in this world.

But the promise is through it all, Jesus will be

with you. The second promise to you and I is

not only that he will be with us, but listen

to this.

Where I am my server will be also.

But anyone serves me, the Father will honor him.

I don't know about you one day, but I pray.

Just last night we went to a funeral of a

dear saint named Kelly Webster. There's a missionary who surrendered

her life, denied herself as a twelve year old little girl,

saying I'm going to follow the Lord and missions.

She left the comforts of this world.

She left the material things of this world to serve

the Lord in Asia, in many different places, and she

had so many different things, a beautiful family, a wonderful husband,

a great successful missions overseas. But she lost it all.

She had cancer and all those things were taking away.

But today I believe she was faithful to follow the Lord,

surrender her life to Jesus and say, Jesus, I don't

want my will, I don't want my desires, I don't

want to live for my agenda. I want to live

for you, Jesus, and I want my life to be

yours Lord. And today I believe when Jesus called her home,

he said, listen, well done, my faithful.

Servant, and listen.

Through all the trials and through all distribulations, God was

by her side. Today I ask you what do you love?

Which life do you love? What will you receive? And

how will you serve your Jesus?

How will you die to yourself this morning?

And wet Tanner to come and he's gonna lead us

into song invitation. I remember as a little kid, we

took these little Easter eggs and we would at the

end of the Easter eggs hunt, we would come into

house somewhere. We would find a little table whatever it was,

or maybe the living room floor. We would all spread out,

get a little baskets and we would turn them all

under and all the little eggs everywhere would fall out.

And then what would you This is an important part

of the Easter egg hunt, right, that was.

When you started opening them up. See what you got.

Maybe it was a little piece of gum man.

That was good.

Double bubble too, by the way you make big bubbles

with that. Maybe it's some little smarties. I always needed them,

maybe make me a little smarter.

But you know.

What made Easter so great wasn't the double bubble. It

wasn't the smartiest. The greatest thing about Easter was not

the candy to receive. The greatest thing about Easter and

do receive the greatest thing of all, and that was Jesus.

I wonder you today you came in this church service.

Later on you're gonna be with family. You're gonna experience

a lot of great things about Easter. Maybe you eat

a little Easter candy and peeps.

Or some chocolate covered Easter eggs. I like those myself.

But you know what if you miss out on knowing

Jesus that by him, by you seeking him listen, he

died that you might listen, that you might find him today.

Don't miss out on that.

Today? What life do you love? Can I tell you?

Love the Lord above all else? Seek him, put your

faith in Him for salvation.

Today? What will you receive? Will you love the God

and love him that one day you receive eternal life

with the one.

Who died for you. Will you pray with me? Father?

I pray today as we enter in this time of invitation.

Lord, there's some that come. Lord. They're broken, they've.

Tried to find happiness and the things of this world,

and Lord, things of this world continue to slip away.

Lord. Today, Lord, they're seeking you.

Lord, I pray they'd recognize that Lord, that you died,

that they might find you.

Today.

You died that they might know you. Lord, You died

that they might find forgiveness. Today, died that they might

receive eternal life. Lord, I pray today that today would

be the day that they'd put their faith in you

for salvation.

And today, say, Lord, I don't want to love this

life anymore.

I want to love you Lord above all else.

Or I pray they'd be those who put their faith

in trusting you and declare that today, Lord, Today I

pray they be those Lord, say Lord, I want to

I want to live my life or not the things

of this world, but for the eternal things, that one day.

I might be with you Lord in heaven.

done that.

I'd love the things of this world more than I've

loved you. Today, Lord, I believe that you came, You

died on the cross that I might find you. Lord,

I asked for your forgiveness. Lord, I believe that you

I might have life and life everlasting.

I pray they'd be those who confess, Lord, today I

need you.

Who recognize that it's not a prayer that saves us, it's

you that saves us. But Lord, I pray they'd be

those who put their faith in you today for salvation.

I pray maybe some today that are Christians that have

put their faith in you, but they've just been living.

They've got their priorities out of order today.

And I pray they'd be some today says Lord, I

there's some areas that in my life that I need

to die. Lord, help me, Lord follow you. I pray

they'd be those that would confess that. Some need to

come to this altar and pray. I pray you lead

them to do that. Lord, some if I can pray for,

I pray you lead them to come that I might

pray whatever Lord, however you call us a respond Lord,

I pray, right now, in this time invitation, we respond

to you, or we love you. Thank you Lord for

your the cross. Thank you Lord for the empty tomb.
