Seeking God's Heart

I got born again at the age of eleven. I

was excited for God. I slept getting ready for Jesus

So she granted me and eventually I drifted. I drifted

back into the world and messed up a bit. Then

he translated me to the UK for a purpose.

So enough of me. I just wanted you to.

Know who I am and give you a little bit

of history about me. So the theme for you is

peace in the storm. I'm hoping that the words God

has given me will touch that a little bit. And

my title is seeking God's Heart. So I thought that

we can think and talk about this because the Kingdom

of God is big. The word is big, you can't

exhaust it. Other people coming with this their vibe and

another one. So then we need to just know that

seeking God is where we find our silence, our calling, and.

What to do for the hour, for the day.

So the heart of God represents the innermost character, encompassing

his love, compassion, justice, and desire for relationship with humanity.

God's desires a relationship with you and me.

That's the main thing.

This is evident from creation narrative where God created man

in his own image, as Genesis one twenty seven says,

and he worked with Adam and Eve in the garden.

To start off, we're gonna start with the Isaiah fifty

seven and it says, for that says the high and

love to one who inhabits Citanity. By the way, I'm

taking it from New from New King James version. So

for that says the high and love to one who

inhabits Sitanity, whose name is holy. I dwelt in the

high and low and holy place with whom with him

who has a contract and humble spirit to revive the

spirit of the humble and revive the hearts of the

Countract Ones this verse we see that the comparison between

God's holiness and his compassion reveals that he's the majestic God,

yet accessible to those who approach him with humility. So

he may look like he's a big God is up there,

but whever humbles themselves, he's there. We just to recap

God comes into our hearts once we accept Jesus, and

I believe that the entire Kingdom sits in our heart. However,

we go without because we don't think about this. We

don't draw from the Kingdom from every in every need.

And Isaiah forty five, verse nineteen, he says, I have

not spoken in secret in the dark place.

Of the earth.

I'd not say to the seed of Jacob, and we

are the seed of Jacob. Seek me in vain either

Lord speak righteousness. The visible God created man in his

image that he may rule over the creation through him,

man need.

God gave us authority to rule.

And reign on the earth, but through Him and not

by ourselves. Yes, and it all starts with you, honestly, you,

honestly accepting and believing that God is who he says

he is. That's the first thing you need to bring

to yourself to that even when you're going through a situation. Remember,

do I actually believe there is a God? Do I

believe there is God? Does he want to help me?

That helps me a lot when things don't go well?

So and then, of course in the New Testament he

says in John fourteen twenty, at that day we will

know that I am in the Father, and you in me,

and I in you. The same thing, he repeats over

and over. God is in us, and we are in

Christ and Christ easiness. Although we were created in God's image.

After the fall of man in Genesis three, when Man

disobeyed God, things didn't go well. However, God then reconciled

Man backed himself through his son Jesus, Christ, and he

gives us another chance to be in Him, to live

with Him, to do things like they should have been

before if we believe.

So.

Today, I want to share a few nuggets of the

ways we can actively have a relationship with the invisible

God in a natural world. So we see that Jesus,

the Son of God, was led by the Spirit into

the wilderness. Jesus was God, but to be able to

manage to do what God sent me, sent him here.

For he was sent into the wilderness, and there he

fasted for forty days and forty nights, and that helped

Jesus to be transformed and equipped with the power and

wisdom and ability to overcome even Satan. As it is

written in Look. We won't go there, but it's written

and look for if we want to see that, look

for that one to to eate. It's also a direct

necessity for every believer to allow the Holy Spirit to

lead us in order to be able to live a

Christian life here in a fallen world. We know how

allow the Holy Spirit to lead us. How does he

lead us. Because you can say I'm just gonna speak

the word. That word without your obedience and faith in

a mixture of your faith in Him and your trust

that he can do it and he will take you

a day at time. Is no need to stress about

next week or tomorrow. Day at the time. Yeah, And

I always say to people that church is the spiritual hospital.

Those who I hang out with I always whenever things happen,

I say, but you know, church is a hospital. We

come to hospital. So it's founded on love, the love

of God. The word church is a translation of a

Greek word ecclesia, which is defined as us and assembly,

oh the cold ones. The root meaning of church is

not a building, but the people. The people, you and me, we.

Are the church. Church is in you.

You've got your spies, I've got my spies. You've got

your vibe. I've got my vibe, and we bring it

all together for the use of the church. Now, many times,

depending on your motive to come to church, you may

come to church to judge whether the speaker speaks well,

whether this past is compassionate enough, whether answor is gonna

help me, But none of us is the answer.

The answer. The answer is in Christ Jesus. So you

are special. God has got a plan for you and me.

It's up to you to come to church with their

obedient hat and open her to humble heart to say, God,

I want to meet you. I knew you yesterday, but

I want to know you more. Then, as you enter

that church, prepare your heart, stop looking around your purpose.

We can look around after the service and hug and

have tea and everything else, but we purpose God. We

come here and you needed to praise you. But I

change us well, make us a new creature. And there's

no point church, is you. We are not looking for

honor in church. We are all children God dwelling together

me feel me. Let me have a drink of water.

So, continuing with verse seventeen, that Christ may drill in

your heart through faith, that you're being rooted and grounded

in love. May be able to comprehend with other saints.

What is the weed and the length and the depth

and the hide to know the love of Christ which

passes no late. That you may be filled with the

fullness of God.

So you know the fullness of the love of God.

of Christ's gift. The journey of following Jesus might look

like he's challenging, but these challenges can there to refine us.

The refine us and and our character depends our entami

intimacy with God. Isaiah forty five fifteen says, Truela, you

going saying your God who hides yourself?

God hides. In my opinion, I think God.

Hides himself from us according to this scripture because he

wants us to honestly seek him and value him. From

this verse, God seems to be playing a game of

seekers and hide, hide and seek. Yeah, so that you

have to search and seuch and such till you find him.

He's a good father, but he wants relationship. He wants

us to find him.

Yeah.

So now that we know that we need to play

this game of house of seeking God to where he

seems like he's hidden, but yet it's very next to us,

as next as the breath we breathe.

Yeah so.

Matthew Six's thirty thirty three Key Practices of seeking the

Heart of God Matthew Siks thirty three says, but seek

first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all

these things will be added to you. Many times we

don't even do that. We we end up seeking the

things of the world. Then want to come to God

when we are tired in the evening. Whereas he is saying,

seek first the Kingdom of God, and all these things

you're fighting for. Your seeking for the things that are

traveling you will be added to you God to give

them to you. As the Neate was saying earlier, prayer

is central to seeking God, to seeking God's heart. Through

prayer of faith, believers communicate with God according to his

will and express their desires and seek his guidance. Jeremiah

twenty nine thirty three says, you will seek me and

find me if you seek Me with all your heart.

Sometimes I look at when I'm going through a situation,

I check myself if I actually sought God with all

my heart. Yeah. You is always to do a self

check from time to time. Check yourself, where are you standing?

You find that Ah do. I didn't do this, so

you may then God will pick you up when you

choose to be picked up. Okay, emphasizing says Yet, this

verse of Jeremiah seeking God with all her heart is

emphasizing a sincere dedication to God. Seeking and thirsting for

God leads to inner transformation and renew of mind. It

involves aligning personal desires with God's purpose and cultivating humility

and embracing a childlike faith. This Pasit brings joy and fulfillment,

and God delights in those who honestly seek Him, as

is written in Hebrews eleven, verse six. Because of time,

I'm gonna be a bit quick. Seeking God's heart is

a lifelong journey of devotion, trust and love. Inquiring firsting, thirsting, inviting,

and inviting believers into a deeper relationship with their Creator.

The deeper we seek God.

The more we get to know and enjoy the relationship

with Him and to trust that is with me.

I shall not sink.

Yeah. The main purpose the main verse in my my

sharing today would be the Matthew thirteen fourteen. It's about

the parable of the hidden treasure, and it says the

Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field,

which a man found and hid, and for joy over it,

he goes and sells all that he has and buys

that field.

He takes a trust. And now I put a question here, like.

We cannot come to We cannot say that we are

believers and expecting to see the goodness of God. If

we're going to spend thirty minutes, come here to charge

for one hour and then until Sunday, or wake up

and say your devotion until Sunday or until the It's

got to be a lifestyle where you're kind of bringing

yourself back to the to the Lord. Challenges come meeting,

so this get you got to work and you find

people with all sorts of character, but it brings you

back to Him. So we need to spend quality time.

We need if we're gonna be serious, let's spend quality time.

We are rushing and the world is so clever it

has left us no time. If we are waiting to

do everything else and then see God, it will never happen.

Everything is in testifying. Everything is click click, The phone

is blinking, the computer that emails. When are you gonna

do that? There's only a few hours in a day.

So if I may ask you to do a self check,

is there evidence of what you've given to pursue the

love of God has been deposited in you?

Is there evidence that's for you to answer. It's just

a question.

Jesus and all men and women of God we see

operating in power. Set apart days times to seek God,

to inquire the scripture to first, to pray, to fellowship

with like minded believers in order to see God at work,

to say, God, you say this, I want to see

this happen. You don't just sit down and it happens.

Sometimes it could because somebody fights prayed for you. Oh

your mama deposited this blessing over you. Though these things happen,

but they are occasional. But for you, you need to

be at it. I need to be the things I'm

saying to you, I'm saying them to me. So if

you find anything good in them, apply them to Yeah.

So we have to search for scriptures. We have to

first when they call it first, here we fall away.

But one day it's not a big deal. You need

to set your fasting time and this time you need

to purpose. If you're going to take a day off

to seek God. God would love that.

Yeah, but we can only share anyway.

Roman's Age twelve says, therefore, brethren, or a little bit

more about that hidden treasure. God is the treasure. God

is the treasure that is worthy giving our all to

lay hold of him. He's a treasure, is foundable. He

says that he didn't set the children of Jacob seek

him in vain. So if you're not seeing anything shows

you have not actually sought, try a bit more, put

some time in it, put a thought in it. Yeah,

we see men like Smith Rego's worth. He never studied

that much. Yet we've got people with bachelors and degrees

in theology who can only preach the word.

But there's nothing happening.

hungering and thirsting and devotion and obedience that we set

and women have sought God to where things are happening.

Worship may not be enough. You need to worship, washing dishes,

you need to worship, walking down the street. All these

are opportunities because we have no time. Yeah, if you're

working the dog, be washed, being be calling upon the

name of the Lord. This is all time.

It's with us in all situations.

So some of us tend to think, I can't do dishes,

and I'll be dishonored in God if I worship while

I'm doing dishes. Now the dishes can simply be washed,

but your spirit will be well with the Lord, so Romans.

He says, Therefore, brethren, we are debtors not to the flesh,

to live according to the flesh. For if you live

according to the flesh, you would die. And it's not

talking about physical death, but spiritual death. If you work,

if you're a Christian and you choose to walk, but

in the flesh, you certainly not be active spiritually. But

it says, if by the spirit you put to death

the deeds of the body, you will live. You will

do great exploits. Let us do this together. All of

us can take can look like we are doing, all

of us can look like we are seeking God. Yeah,

through the good deeds we do the bad. However, the

motive by which we do these things will determine the outcome.

The motive everything is checking your heart to see why

am I doing this? You know? I pray that the

Holy Spirit will give us a hanger and fast for Him,

that we can experience Christ in our day to day lives.

Prohaps eight seventeen says, I love those who love me,

and those who seek me diligently will find me. He says, Father,

riches and honor are with me. We are chasing the job,

nine to five job or whatever, sad time, but God

is saying, riches are with me. He doesn't say, don't

go to work, but him. Let him be priority. Yeah,

you're choosing a mate. Let him choose him for you.

Don't be rushing. Let's put him number one. You're wanting

to travel, let him talk to you about that journey

if you should or should not take it. Matthew five

six says blest those who hang and thirst for righteousness,

for they shall be failed. The Bible says that those

who seek God, who hurtedly, will find him and experience

his blessings. We need to ask the Holy Spirit to

give us that hunger. That that's it all starts. With

God and what I've seen. Many times we ask God

help me. I'm feeling low, I'm feeling dry. Ignite me,

and he will. The trouble is that we don't maintain

that ignition. It happens to me. Lord, you go for

a week of fire, two weeks, Oh my God, God God,

then you don't know. Suddenly it begins to slow down.

Why you've lost You've lost momentum.

Yeah.

Plus he also wants you to keep seeking him to

go to the next level. So when it helps me

up here, let me not think I've obtained. I need

to keep going higher and higher and higher. If we don't,

example of a sincere heart after God is that of

King David. King David is known as a man after

God's heart. Apparently there's not many too many scriptures that

talk about God's heart.

So anyway, David, what did?

David is described as a man after God's own heart

because his deep desire was to know and follow God.

This can be found in First Summer chapter thirteen fourteen

around there. We are not going to go there because

of time. Blessed, We're going to now go to proverb

he says, blessed is the man who listens to me?

Do you listen to God? When did you last listen

to God? Watching daily at my gates, waiting at the

too weighty compared to what Samuel did.

he disobeyed God. We know that he did.

did this instead of saying, forgive me, I messed up.

So we should always endeavor to repent. One day, God

said to me, I was going through a situation last

year on living and to a person so dear to

me was doing things over and over and this time

I said, ah, being a Christian doesn't mean you can't

say things as there.

So I prepare my message to say, look, the other.

Day you said this, the other day you did this

And then I hear a voice inside me to say

don't know what God did that changed the attitude. Everything

that had been done wrong over the period was put right.

Not because I told somebody off, but because I positively spoke.

I don't know. I've always thought God how did you say?

What did you do? But anyway he did it.

So I would like to say that the heart after

God may see, but she should be quick to admit

the wrong done, ask for forgiveness, turn from her wicked

ways even and not justify herself or excuse herself for

doing what we've done.

It's not right.

This generation is one of blaming others and not ourselves.

One finger is pointing at Julia, the rest is pointing

at me. God is good all the time, but let's

not do that. Yeah, because we want God to be available,

to be active, to be our defense when you error.

Is a God of righteousness. I shared some TESTI money

with one person in the house that God has a

many other things. So as I come to a conclusion,

I like to encourage us as a church. Let's not

you know, when we come in, the message is preached

and it sounds good, and by the time we get

down the road, it's gone out of our ears.

But the letter you had, oh, we hear daily. Let's

put it in practice.

Let us be changed. Let this church be a church

where people come and get quickened and changed, and we

help one another, we love one another honestly. Let it

be sold. The fame is not our goal here. Our

goal is to live as a family of God. There

is no minister here. There's no king here. We are

all children of God. So value one another. Let the

hand help the leg, let the eye help the ear,

as it see then written in First Corinthians. So pursue love,

apply faith, humility. All these things go together.

And may God.

May God help us to thirst after him and to

be roosted and grounded in his love by reading the Word,

by seeking him and allowing him time to build us up.
