Have Thank you Carrius, think you worship team. So today
-
we'll be talking about a different theme, isn't it. We're
-
now learning from the Book of Daniel. Allelujah. Thank your
-
pastor Dave for putting me in the first because I
-
want to enact that best lesson. Whoa hallelujah. Anyway, we
-
start with our word, how many of you are in
-
a waiting season this time? Raise your hand. Don't be embarrassed.
-
You will get your answer if you raise your hand. Allelujah,
-
Raise Jesus. We are all in a waiting season of
-
some sort. And isn't it the hardest part is to wait?
-
How many of us are just impatient or just I'm
-
so tired? Lord? What are you putting me through? All right?
-
The Book of Daniel is very famous for a lot
-
of lessons, but one of it is about waiting. And
-
I wanted that lesson because it's such a powerful it's
-
such a powerful message. Daniel ten speaks about Daniel's final vision.
-
You know, this prophet is always hearing getting visions from
-
the Lord, and this one, the last one that he has,
-
is particularly difficult because it speaks of the difficulty that
-
is coming ahead of Israel. And he was so tormented
-
by the vision, and he wanted to know what it's about.
-
And he's been waiting and waiting to hear from the Lord.
-
What is this about? Amen, So just setting you the
-
context of this message. And so he was waiting for
-
the message to come, but hasn't arrived. And so he
-
prays and he fasted, and he murned and he fasted,
-
and he prayed constantly for twenty one days, that famous
-
twenty one days of fasting that we all know. Now
-
it's not really the same calendar days though we have
-
right now, but it could be. It could be. Heavenly
-
time is a different timetable, isn't it. At the end
-
of the twenty one days, finally the message came and
-
this is what it's all about, Daniel. Ten twelve, He said,
-
do not fear, Daniel. For the first day that you
-
set your heart to understand and to humble yourself before
-
your God, your words were heard, and I have come
-
because of your words. I have come because of your words.
-
We must know that the word of God has a
-
very powerful effect. They don't respond unless you have the word.
-
And he has come watched this church since the first day,
-
since the first day. The Lord has heard their prayer.
-
Are man from the first day. So this is what
-
happens when we pray, right, we think that when we're waiting,
-
we're just our prayers are not going anywhere. They're not
-
being heard at all. And what happens is fear set sin.
-
And when fear sets in, it tells us no, God
-
has not heard you. Nope. The answer is no, No,
-
it's not going to happen. But you need to understand
-
today that God is not ignoring you. There is no
-
lag time, there is no delay. There is no buffering symbol.
-
You know that buffering symbol that you get from your phone, buffering, buffering, buffering,
-
When is it going to end? He heard the very
-
first day you cried to him. He heard that very
-
first sigh you gave to him. He didn't need to
-
listen to your prayers one hundred times for him to care.
-
He didn't. Psalm thirty four, verse fifteen says the eyes
-
of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears
-
are attentive to their cry. They're attentive to our Christ.
-
His eyes. When you pray according to his will, his
-
answer is dispatched immediately. But if you haven't seen the
-
fulfillment or the manifestation in the physical reality. Yet it
-
is not because God did not hear you. It is
-
because there is a delivery process that is happening in
-
the realm we cannot see. There's a traffic jam. There's
-
a delivery jem in the heavenly realms. And this is
-
what it's all about. The battle in the unseen realm.
-
There is a battle going on, So the Angel told Gabriel.
-
Gabriel the Angel told told David Daniel Hello that he
-
had to pass to fight the spirit of the Prince
-
of Persia. There is a demonic power that is trying
-
to block what he is waiting for. While he was fasting, worrying,
-
and wonder if God even cared, a massive war was
-
raging in the heavens. A demonic principality, the spirit Prince
-
of Persia. He was actively trying to block the angel
-
delivering Daniel's answer. The warfare was so intense that Michael
-
the Warrior Exchanged had to be deployed. This is the
-
top angel in the heavens, and he had to be
-
deployed because that battle is raging. There is an extreme
-
importance in the message in the vision that the demons
-
were trying to prevent it very much so that it
-
doesn't get delivered. Church, we must stop evaluating God's faithfulness
-
in what we can only see with our human eyes.
-
Ephesian six twelve says, for our struggles, it's not against
-
flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities,
-
against the spiritual hosts of wickedness. In the heavenly places,
-
there is someone. There are a lot of principalities that
-
are trying to block what God has for you. Because
-
what God has for you carries destiny. It carries a
-
powerful weight. Your breakthrough is currently being heavily contested by
-
the enemy because the enemy knows exactly how powerful it
-
will be when it arrives. Satan doesn't fight dead things.
-
He fights against things that car that carries destiny for
-
each one of us. If your waiting season feels like
-
a brutal battle, it is proof that what God has
-
dispatched for you is worth fighting for. It's worth fighting
-
for because it's something amazing that's waiting for you, and
-
the devil knows what it is and he's trying to
-
block it as much as he can. The delay is
-
heavenly time. It takes as long as it takes to
-
completely defeat the enemy. The next point is God's promise.
-
All of God's promises carry a guarantee. When we're stuck
-
with the not yet, when we haven't received the answers
-
to our prayers, it's not a no. It's never a no.
-
It's just not yet. Fear tells us that when it
-
doesn't come, then, you know, God might say no, But no,
-
it's not. It is never a no. Why because God's
-
word says so tewod Corinthians, Chapter one, verse twenty. For
-
no matter how many promises God has made, they are
-
yes in Christ. Yes in Christ. Every promise is a
-
yes in Christ. And so through Him the amen. We
-
are the ones who say amen. Grand says yes, we
-
say amen. There's always a co laboring, a partnership that
-
comes between us and God. He says, yes, what do
-
we say amen? Amen? When God speaks a promise over
-
your life, He's part of the contract, is already signed.
-
It's a done deal. It's already guaranteed. His answer is
-
a definitive, unshakable yes, no matter how long it takes
-
the answer is yes, no matter how impossible it is.
-
The answer is yes, No matter how big it is,
-
the answer is yes. Why because God says so and
-
it God says so. It is so. Our only job
-
during the not yet season is to stand our ground
-
and declare Amen. Amen, that's all we have to do.
-
Amen doesn't mean I hope. So you know what the
-
amen means. It's a Hebrew word that means it is certain,
-
or so be it God. I don't see the healing yet,
-
but Amen God. I don't have the job yet that
-
I really need. But Amen, God, this is too much
-
for me to bear. But Amen, Cad, I don't see
-
that restoration yet. But amen, Amen, you are agreeing with
-
what God said, not with what you currently feel. The
-
timeline belongs to Heaven, but the final victory has already
-
been guaranteed to you, So don't focus on the ordeal,
-
focus on the outcome. Look at what's waiting for you.
-
It's a yes, it's a yes. So how do we wait?
-
Like Daniel? We can learn from Daniel on how he
-
waited because waiting is such a horrible process. We're all
-
so impatient and we all need to learn how to wait.
-
But how do how do we do it? So we
-
don't lose our mind and our faith. Daniel gives us
-
a blueprint of what we can do. Number One, don't complain.
-
In all this time that Daniel was waiting, he never complained.
-
What did he do? He prayed, he prayed, he fasted,
-
and he prayed again, and he prayed again. But never
-
ever complain about the faithfulness of God, because He is faithful.
-
Number two, you renew your strength daily. When he heard
-
from the Angel, he said, I have been strengthened by you.
-
The Angel told him, don't be afraid. Peace be with you,
-
Be strong, be courageous. Waiting drains you physically and emotionally.
-
But when Daniel was completely wiped out by the spiritual weight,
-
the Angel touched you. In your prayer. You will meet
-
with God and he will send the spirits, the Holy
-
Spirit to comfort you. And when you feel like quitting,
-
the Holy Spirit will renew your strength. He will renew
-
your strength. So lean on him, Lean on him. I
-
love this. This has been a word given to me
-
last year by the Lord. Consecrate yourself to God. Joshua
-
three point five says, consecrate yourself for tomorrow. The Lord
-
is going to do great wonders on you. Isn't that
-
a beautiful promise? Again, we have our part, and God
-
does his part. We are to consecrate, separate, dedicate ourselves
-
to him, spend time in his presence. Daniel prayed and fasted,
-
and as such he bet with God. God is going
-
to do great wonders? What do waiters do in the restaurant? Anybody,
-
when you come to a restaurant and you see the waiters,
-
what do they do? Serve while you're waiting? Serve, Serve
-
your church, Serve your brothers and sisters, Serve everyone who
-
is in need, find something you can help with. Serve
-
Because what you do for others, you do unto the Lord.
-
Ay Man, trust heavenly time. Recognize that the Lord is
-
actively fighting your battles. It's not sleeping, is not dozing
-
off extra Thus, fourteen fourteen says, the Lord will fight
-
for you. You need only to be still. We have
-
to be still and let him fight our battles. Don't
-
fight it on your own strength, and remain unshakably loyal.
-
Remain unshakably loyal. Do not lower your standards or take
-
matters into your own hands just because God's answer is
-
taking longer than what your calendar plan. Man, Just be
-
still and be faithful to him. Most of all, don't
-
leave church. A lot of people when they don't receive
-
their answers, you know, they're like, I don't want to
-
go to church. Just what's the use. God doesn't hear
-
my prayers anyway. Spait so long that I pray to him,
-
nothing's happened. You know, if you have a bonfire and
-
you have woods there life that are burning, burning brightly,
-
burning brightly, you take away one lug, take it out
-
of the bonfire, put it away away from where it's burning,
-
and you see the fire we just slowly, slowly, slowly
-
die down. That's what happens when we removed from our community,
-
from our fellowship with the Lord, from places like this.
-
Don't separate yourselves from the burning fire, and the fire
-
burns intensely when there's a lot of lugs, a lot
-
of wood burning. Amen, expect divine elevation after your struggle,
-
after your bottle, after your long waiting. There is going
-
to be a divine elevation. You know. God always overcompensates
-
for our troubles. Always he gives us double for our trouble.
-
Like what happened with Joe the last part of his life,
-
who was more than what he had before, more than
-
what he had before. Isaiah sixty one says, I will
-
give you a double share of honor and prosperity once
-
I restore you. Isn't not wonderful? Lastly, Jesus is with us.
-
And then Jesus is with us. When God dispatched the
-
heavy hitters of the heavenly realms like Gabriel and Michael
-
to answer his prayers, we have a much better helper
-
now we have Jesus. We have Jesus with us to
-
fight our battles. He intercedes for us day and night
-
and night. He's there with us. You remember when he
-
was sleeping on the boat. Though he is sleeping, you
-
have nothing to fear because he is in the boat,
-
and he's still in the boat. He's never left. He's
-
still in the boat. Remember that I had a friend
-
in the States. By the way, I'd like to welcome
-
my friend from America. Whoooo Rowenna. You know we met
-
in a plane. She was traveling back to the US
-
and I was returning to the UK from one of
-
my travels, and we would seated next to each other
-
and were saying. We were talking to each other. We said, oh, yeah,
-
you know, praise God. I got upgraded, but I don't
-
know why. Oh, Jess, he said, praise God. I was
-
also upgraded. I don't know why. And then we found
-
out we're both Christians, of course, and we were giving
-
glory to God. We were both giving glory to God.
-
Since that day, we never left. We were connected with
-
prayers for ten long years. Hallelujah. Never stop praying. Find
-
a partner you could pray with one do one hundred,
-
doesn't matter. And we've seen so many prayers answered other uses. Anyway,
-
that's part of Daniel, you know. He continued to pray
-
until he received the answer. Pray, pray, pray. Well, that
-
was another story. Sorry, that's one last story. This couple
-
couldn't have children, and she said, I don't know what
-
to do. I said, no, Jesus doesn't want you not
-
to have children. It's just taking a while because special
-
orders take time. Because I learned of this story of
-
a man who was in a restaurant and he said,
-
I want to order some I want to order this dish,
-
but I don't want peppers. Can you make the spice
-
just a little bit, you know, light, and I don't
-
want any onions, and can you put a lot of
-
garlic in it? He puts so many things in his order,
-
and so he sat down and waited for his order.
-
And then he saw one couple get their order. Okay,
-
mine is coming soon. And then another I received their order,
-
and then another. Basically everybody was already eating, and he
-
still hasn't received his order. And finally he called the
-
waiter and said, what happened to my order? Where is it?
-
He said, special orders take time, And when it arrived,
-
it's so good, exactly what he ordered. Praise God. Now
-
they have a beautiful child that is top of her class,
-
and they couldn't have asked for a better child. Special
-
orders take time. God is in the process of special orders.
-
You are not mass produced. You are unique. And is
-
building a special character that will be sturdy, durable, will
-
stand any kind of storm. And he's shaping us. He
-
did not deliver Israel and gave Moses and micro waved
-
him as a leader. He had to spend eighty years
-
in the desert for him to be able to lead
-
the children of God. When he promised Abraham he had
-
for a son. He waited how many years? Twenty five years,
-
twenty five years. If you're waiting on God today, it's
-
not because he's forgotten you. It's because you are special.
-
God is taking his time to build something different, something wonderful,
-
something special. Do not rush the process, because the way
-
is always worth the workmanship. He will continue whatever he started,
-
He will finish to the end. It's just on hold
-
for now, but it will happen, and it is going
-
to happen. Could be tomorrow. The Lord is going to
-
do great wonders on you. Amen, Adelujah, Jesus may be
-
prayer a way
