Good morning, h So, lesson from Daniel. Today, We're gonna
-
explore a number of scriptures. The Holy Spirit wants to
-
get it to a certain point before the end of
-
the meeting. So I'll pray and then we'll crack the Jesus.
-
I think it you are here by your spirit, h
-
these nighting people to hear what the Holy Spirit is
-
saying to us today, that we can all receive what
-
you want us to receive in Jesus name. Amen. So
-
four young men were taken from Judah to Babylam. We
-
read in the book of Daniel. The chief of the
-
Eunuchs or Eunuchs gave them new names. Daniel, whose name
-
means God is Judge is my judge, became beltaz Our
-
Hanayah God has favored became Shadrak. Michelle, whose name was
-
who is what God is, became Meshak, and Asare, whose
-
name was Jehovah has helped, became a Begnigir. They changed
-
their names in attempt that they lose their identity, but
-
in these individuals lives, that didn't work because their hearts
-
were rooted and planted on the word of God. Israeli
-
kids are to go to school. The school in the
-
Word of God, and these boys have been schooled in
-
the Word of God. Proverbs for twenty to twenty three
-
says my son, attend to my words in cling your
-
ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from
-
your eyes. Keep them in the midst of your heart,
-
for they are life to those who find them, health
-
to all their flesh. Keep your heart with all diligence,
-
for out of it springs the issues of life. So
-
although these boys were in Babylon, Babylon was not in them.
-
Jesus said to the Father, speaking of disciples, have given
-
them your word, and the world has hated them because
-
they are not of the world. Just as I am
-
not of the world. I do not pray that you
-
should take them out of the world, that you should
-
keep them from all evil. They are not of the world,
-
but I am. But just as I am not of
-
the world, sanctify them by your truth. Your word is truth.
-
That's John seventeen fourteen to seventeen. Our world is very
-
familiar to us. Some of us grew up in the
-
world before we knew who Jesus was, before we had
-
the personal relationship with Jesus others procedures at a very
-
early age. So there we live in a new world.
-
We've been born again, not a flesh, but but of
-
the spirit. We're still very familiar with the world. But
-
we are not of the world of the spirit, as
-
is young boys who were in Babylon. We're not of Babylon.
-
We are not of this world. And God calls us
-
to walk by the spirit. Jesus walked on water physically.
-
God calls us to walk on water spiritually. He calls
-
us to see into invisible and to do the impossible
-
by the word of God. So these young Hebrew boys
-
decided not to compromise, decided to put the word of
-
God first place in their lives. We read the account
-
of nebukinessa building a large statue about twenty twenty eight
-
meters high, about three meters wide Daniel three, four to six.
-
It says, the herald cried aloud to you is the
-
command o people, nations and languages. At the time you've
-
heard the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lear, and
-
salterray in symphony with all kinds of music, you shall
-
fall down and worship the gold image that kim Nebuknesza
-
has said up, and whoever does not fall down and
-
worship will be cast immediately into the midst of the
-
burning fire refurnace. Nebuza had made a plan and time
-
with this plan was toast Daniel three eight to twelve. Therefore,
-
at the time, certain cordials came down and accused the Jews.
-
They spoke and said to King Nepkanza, O king, live
-
forever you, O King, have made a decree that everyone
-
who hears the sound of the horn, flute, harp, lear,
-
and sultry in symphony with all kinds of music, shall
-
fall down and worship the Golden Image. And whoever does
-
not fall down and worship the image shall be cast
-
into the midst of a burning fire refurnace. There are
-
certain Jews who set over the affairs of the province
-
of Babylon, Shadraq, Mishak and the Begnigo. These men, O King,
-
have not paid due regard to you. Do not serve
-
your gods or worship the gold Image that of use
-
that you set up. Then nebukanis in a rage and
-
in fury gave the command to bring Shadrak and Mischak
-
and the Begnigo. So they brought these men before the
-
king in Nebuchan, as I spoke, saying to them, is
-
this true, Shadrat Mischak and the Begnigo, that you do
-
not serve my gods or worship the golden image which
-
I have set up. Now, if you're ready, at the
-
time you hear the sound of the horn, flute, harp,
-
lea and sultry in symphony with all kinds of music,
-
you shall fall down and worship the image which have
-
made good. But if you do not worship, you should
-
be cast immediately into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.
-
And who is the God who will deliver you from
-
my hands? Well? The choice in life whether we follow
-
the word of God or we follow the crowd, whether
-
we apply the word of God or do what is
-
right in our own eyes. These boys said, oh, nebu Canezza,
-
we have no need to answer you in this matter.
-
If that is the case, our God, whom we serve,
-
is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace
-
here delivers from your hand, O King. But if not,
-
let it be known to you, O King, that we
-
do not serve your gods nor will we worship the
-
gold image which you are set up, which is Daniel
-
three sixteen to eighteen. We all know the Count Nebuknsa
-
lost his cool, and he was full of fury, and
-
his expression changed towards Shadrat Music and the Begnagirl. He
-
gave the command, and the heat of the furnace seven
-
times more than it was usually heated, and he commanded
-
certain mighty men to throw Shadrat, Michic and the Bendigo
-
into the furnace with the coats, trousers and turbans. The
-
fire was so hot that the people throwing the boys
-
into the furnace died, and the boys fell down in
-
the midst of a fiery furnace. In the natural there's
-
no escape, but all things are possible with God three
-
twenty fourth through twenty five, says King Nebuzza was astonished.
-
He rose up in haste and spoke, saying to the counselors,
-
did not cast three men into the midst of the fire?
-
They answered, true, O King, He answered, I see four
-
men loose walk in the midst of the fire, and
-
they are not burnt, are not hurt. Sorry, And the
-
fourth is like the son of God. Interesting nebicon Nezza's
-
response changed. In Daniel three twenty six, he said, Shadrak,
-
Mischak and Abegnigo, servants of the Most High God, come
-
out and come here. His perspective changed. People in the
-
world focus on different things. They're not rooted in the
-
word of God. They haven't had that understanding. They'd chase
-
after the latest thing. God wants us to be rooted
-
in the word of God. These boys were rooted in
-
the word of God. They had learned, and they would
-
not be moved. It's interesting that when they came out,
-
they didn't smell of fire. They were not burned. When
-
God does something, he does it well. It's time to
-
get our eyes off what the world is doing and
-
get eyes on what God is doing. Exs. Twenty three
-
to six says you shall have no other gods before me.
-
You shall not make for yourselves a carved image, any likeness,
-
or anything that is in heaven above, or in the
-
earth beneath, or in the water under the sea. You
-
shall not bow down or serve them. For I am
-
the Lord your God. I'm a jealous God visiting the
-
iniquity of the fathers upon the children to the third
-
and fourth generations of those who hate me, but show
-
mercy to thousands, to those who love me and keep
-
my commandments. These boys knew the word of God. We
-
need to know the word of God in every situation
-
and circulants that we meet on a daily basis, so
-
we don't flip to a natural alternative. We need to
-
not put our arm on the flesh. We need to
-
put our trust in the spirit. Easy to say, but
-
God wants to get us to a place individually and corporate.
-
That's where we That's where we live. Shadrack, Mucha and
-
a Benny were promoted by God. Daniel was promoted by
-
God because they honor God. Sam seventy five six says
-
promotion comes neither from the north, from the east, from
-
the west, nor the south. But God is the judge.
-
He puts up, and he sets up, and he sets down.
-
God is no respector of persons. If you honor Guard,
-
if you apply his word, you will be successful in
-
this life. If you don't, you won't. The choice is ours.
-
Choose who you will serve this day. He is no
-
respector of persons. If we believe and apply the word
-
of God in our lives. We will be successful. So
-
let's talk about the lions. Then, Daniel six says that
-
Daniel had an excellent spirit. He had been promoted to
-
a very senior position in Babylon. Darius had taken over
-
from Nebuconessa's son and a new order. But yet even
-
as a new order, Daniel was still in a position
-
of authority because God had given him favor. As God
-
gave Daniel favor, he will give you favor when you
-
apply the word of God. In Daniel six four to
-
five we read so the governors and Satraps sought to
-
find some charge against Daniel, concerned that his king of
-
the kingdom, but they could no fight, could not find
-
no no charge or fault, because he was faithful. Know
-
is there any error or fault found in him? Wouldn't
-
it be good if something could say that others we
-
cannot find any fault or charge because he is faithful.
-
So what do they do? We shall not find any
-
charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him
-
concerned the law of his God. And remind us Psalm
-
twenty three, verse five. I shall put it up here
-
on that which says you prepare a tale before us
-
in the presence of my enemies, you annoint my head
-
of or my cup runs over, even in the time
-
of struggle, even in the time of difficulty, even the
-
time of persecute. E when people have said things against
-
us which are just not true, God prepares a table
-
before us in the presence of our enemies. So Daniel six.
-
So the governors and start traps stronged before the king
-
and said to him, King Darius, live forever. All the
-
governors and King, all the governors of the kingdom, the administration,
-
the start traps, the councils, and the advisors have consulted
-
together to us, how it's a royal statute, and to
-
make a firm decree that whether petitions any God or
-
man for thirty days, except you, o King, shall be
-
cast into the den of lions. So the king established
-
the decree and assigned the writing so it couldn't be
-
changed according to lower the Meds and the Persians, which
-
does not alter. Therefore tis King Daris signed the written
-
degree notice verse ten. When Daniel knew the deal was done,
-
he went home in his upper room with the windows
-
open towards Rusmiel down, and he prayed and gave thanks
-
before God. Daniel did not compromise like the other lads.
-
Daniel did not compromise. God doesn't want us to compromise
-
what we believe because somebody house has a different idea.
-
We need to stay true to what the Word of
-
God says, whether it's comfortable or convenient. So Daniel six sixteen.
-
So the king gave the command, and they brought Daniel
-
and cast him into the lion's den. But the King
-
spoke saying to him, your God, whom you serve continually,
-
will deliver you. And the stone was brought and laid
-
on the mouth of the den, and the king sealed
-
it with his own signet ring. How the signate rings
-
of the Lord's with a purpose concerned Daniel might not change.
-
Notice the difference between Darius and Neby kindnessa Darius knew
-
about the most high God. He knew who Daniel served.
-
Darius was tricked. Daniel sixth nineteen twenty two says the
-
King arose very early in the morning, went in haste
-
to the lions den. When he came to the den,
-
he cried out with a lamenting voice to Daniel, Daniel,
-
servant to the Living God, has your God whom you
-
serve continually being able to deliver you from the lions, Daniel,
-
and you said, oh, kingly, forever, my God sent his
-
angel and shut the mouth the lion's mouths, so that
-
they have not hurt me, because I was found innocent
-
before him. And also you, oh king, I have done
-
no wrong. When God is for us, no one can
-
be against us. If you honor Guard, he will honor you.
-
So I'm reminded now of a very old film called
-
Chariots of Fire, and the lad called Eric Little who
-
refused to run in the heats thinks for one hundred
-
meters in Paris back in the early nine eighteen hundreds. Instead,
-
he had a swap has had to run. I think
-
it was the foreigner two under me. They don't remember exactly.
-
And one of the maker runners gave him a note
-
which said, if you wanted me, I will honor you.
-
The man run, ran his race and won the race.
-
It's just another analogy to what God's trying to get
-
over to us in this in this meeting. If we
-
honor God, he will honor hers. Apply the word, believe
-
the word trust God. Don't look at your circumstances, your
-
circus as are hindrances for you achieving the goal that
-
God wants you to do. God doesn't give you a
-
goal to achieve which can by yourself. It wouldn't be
-
a goal for God, he says, stretch to it. Well,
-
that's in your workplace, or in your home life, or
-
in the vision that God's got for you. I think
-
Juliet said recently that she didn't fancy building the norphan
-
age when God asked her to do it, and had
-
the conversation we got for some time before she decided
-
to get there. But with God, all things are possible.
-
That orphening exists. God is moving. It's not about your resources,
-
it's about God's resources. It's about learning to tap in
-
to the supernatural, to see into the invisible so we
-
can do the impossible. So God bet those boys at
-
the point of their need quite miraculously. In everyday life,
-
God makes us the point of our need miraculously. But
-
sometimes we do not recognize the miraculous in the every
-
day because we haven't been pulled out of a fiery
-
furnace literally or been thrown into a downer lions literally.
-
But God is working in our lives. I remember driving
-
on the motorway a little while ago, and a Lorry
-
tire come bouncing across the road towards the car we
-
were in. I always pray with be in the right
-
place at the right time, and the wheel missed. It
-
was a big wheel as well, and it just bounced past.
-
Remember number time driving past accidents would happened before I arrived,
-
Just before I arrived. God works in our lives. He
-
wants us to recognize that He is working. So here's
-
where the rubber hits the road, so to speak. As
-
God met shadrack me shak a beg nego and Daniel's need,
-
he will meet your need. Romus ten seventeen says faith
-
comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.
-
You've had a lot of the Word of God this morning,
-
read the shed loads of it out this morning. For
-
a reason, God wants to build your faith. Romans twelve
-
three says we've all received a measure of faith. You
-
said you've got faith out of a mustard seed. You
-
say to the mountain be removed, because he shall be done.
-
I must have seed, a tine little thing he said
-
in Mark eleven twenty four. Whatever things you ask when
-
you pray, believe that you receive them and you shall
-
have them. And then said Mark eleven twenty five through
-
twenty six, whenever you stand praying, if anything against anybody,
-
forgive that your father heaven, That your father and Heaven
-
may forgive you. If you do not forgive, neither your
-
father in heaven forgive you your trespassers. You know, forgiveness
-
is a big, big thing. It's it's a doorway through
-
to breakthrough. It's a doorway to be free. Some new
-
ones said, do yourself a favor forgive. Hebrews Level one says, now,
-
faith is a substance of things, hope for the evidence
-
of things it's not seen. Faith is the substance or
-
the compound of things, hope for the evidence of things
-
not seen. So why did I waffle off those five scriptures?
-
Because the direction I was given this morning was God
-
wants to meet your need. All right. God wants to
-
meet your need. And unless you're dead, you have a need.
-
If you're dead, you do anything. Everyone has a need.
-
This this is the crack. God wants to meet you at
-
the point of your need. Right. So if you apply
-
your faith, and you've all got faith, or got a
-
measure of faith. I just told you've got a measure
-
of faith, and faith comes by hearing and hearing by
-
the worth of God. And I've given you a lot
-
of word of God this morning. And if you'll forgive
-
those people who need to forgiven, God will meet you
-
with the point of your need. Right Hello, Yeah, it's
-
not me. I just I just work here. So this
-
is the deal. God will meet you with the point
-
of your need. So everyone has got the goods, stand up,
-
believe God to meet you the part of your need.
-
And he's promised me today that he would do that. Okay,
-
that was his plan for today. All the scriptures leads
-
to this particular event. Okay, I am just the messenger.
-
I just work here, all right. So it's not my might,
-
it's not by power, it is by my spirit. Yeah,
-
nothing to do with me. It's all to do with
-
your position with God and how you're going to apply
-
your faith. In the next few moments, we'll decide whether
-
you're successful in God meeting your need or not. That
-
is between you and God and me and God. I've
-
got some need as well, So I invite you to
-
stand up, apply your faith and believe God to meet
-
you with the point of your need. Remember no music,
-
no singing and dancing. This is just you and me
-
and God. Okay, so you know what your biggest need is,
-
apply your faith. Believe God to meet that need. Thank
-
Him for meeting that need. When you've done what you
-
need to do, sit down so I know to move on. Otherwise, Yeah,
-
if you're listen a line or listening later. God is
-
a spirit. There's no difference in the spirit. So you
-
want to believe God. Believe God. He is no respector
-
of persons.
-
Four.
-
Father, I thank you for meeting these people at the
-
point of their need. I thank you saying your word. Behold,
-
I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is
-
there anything to heart for me? I thank you. Speak
-
to the mountain, not walk around it. Speak to the mountain.
-
I thank you this power of life and death in
-
that turn? Amen, the husband, do you want to bring
-
that word you wrote down?
-
Good morning? I believe the Lord gave me this picture
-
for someone this morning. I had a picture of someone
-
in a field surrounded by houses. The field represents your
-
situation in life. Right now. You have some space around you,
-
but you feel enclosed and when you see birds fly overhead,
-
something within you wants that freedom to move around, even
-
if you haven't articulated that thought to yourself. The Lord
-
is saying, let's plant. Let's make the field like the
-
garden of Eden, a place of life and my presence.
-
I'm with you now, I'm with you always, like I
-
promise in Matthew twenty eight twenty. But if you plant
-
my word in your heart and in your home and
-
your circumstances as I lead you, this field will become
-
a garden of Eden, where my presence is felt more
-
strongly and you sense me and more tangibly. Start with this.
-
This is the verse to start preparing your field for planting.
-
It's Isaiah fifty eight, verse eleven. And I'm going to
-
read from the Tree of Life version, which was translated
-
by a joint committee of Messianic Jews and Christian scholars.
-
So this is Isaiah fifty eight eleven in the Tree
-
of Life version. Then Adam and I will guide you continually.
-
He will satisfy your soul in drought and strengthen your bones.
-
You will be like a well watered garden, like a
-
spring of water whose waters never fail. I'm going to
-
read that again, because it's quite a lot to take in.
-
So it's Isaiah fifty eight to eleven from the Tree
-
of Life version. Then Ada and I will guide you continually,
-
satisfy your soul in drought, and strengthen your bones. You
-
will be like a well watered garden, like a spring
-
of water whose waters never fail.
