  1. It has been a long time since I have been here,

  2. so I feel very thankful to the Lord for this opportunity.

  3. And well, what a difficult part. I mean, Dave asked

  4. me to prepare. That is the last part of the

  5. book of Daniel. As many of you have read, well,

  6. it's an interesting book. And, well, the past weeks we

  7. have been hearing about a lot of stories about courage, okay,

  8. about Daniel and his friends going through all sorts of challenges,

  9. the lion's den and the furnace of fire, all sorts

  10. of things that we really see that it was a

  11. lot of courage. and the hand of God was on

  12. top of all of them. Amen? And it was really

  13. good for them. But now, I mean, as we move

  14. into the last part of the book of Daniel, and

  15. there are still a lot of lessons that we want

  16. to learn, Daniel is moving us from those stories of

  17. courage into visions, deep prayers, warfare, prophecy, and... some information

  18. about the end times. And you know, the book of

  19. Daniel sometimes is also called with the book of Revelation

  20. as our apocalyptic books, okay? Because there are so many information,

  21. so many visions and prophecy about what is coming. That's

  22. the reason why we would like to read those two

  23. books kind of a, Not that they are matching word

  24. by word, but they give us an idea about how

  25. the Lord is preparing his people to embrace what is

  26. coming ahead. Well, what we have already done, because of

  27. course Daniel was a long time ago, but still many

  28. of things that we are going to hear and learn

  29. are still yet to come. Okay? Okay? So that is

  30. very important why, I mean, in the book of Daniel,

  31. we want to spend time meditating and asking revelation from God, okay?

  32. And as you can imagine, Daniel was in the middle

  33. of political situations, opposition, unanswered questions. And that sounds familiar

  34. to us nowadays, right? Because we can see that we

  35. are in the middle of geopolitical things. everywhere we can

  36. see governments and kingdoms going up and down kings coming

  37. up and down dying all sorts of situations and we

  38. can see war and chaos around us so it is

  39. quite important for us to be aware of that but

  40. well with that one let's just move into the first

  41. lesson that we are going to be reading or learning

  42. today and the first one is Seek God through prayer

  43. and repentance. Okay? And in order to go through that one,

  44. it is important to see what Daniel was going through

  45. in chapter 9. In chapter 9, Daniel had been reading

  46. the prophet Jeremiah. And then all of a sudden, Daniel

  47. realizes that the seven-year exile of Jerusalem is coming to

  48. an end. But guess what? He can see how the

  49. people of Israel are behaving. And despite Daniel being faithful

  50. and following the Lord's commandments, etc., he was aware, very

  51. much aware, about how Israel, the people of Israel, were

  52. not doing that. So here, Daniel goes into a deep prayer.

  53. And deep prayer just to come before the Lord asking

  54. for mercy. Asking for the Lord to help and redeem

  55. the people of Israel. And he was saying, we have sinned.

  56. We have departure from your commandments. We have gone astray.

  57. Even when he had been faithful and he had been

  58. with us, I mean, showing us how he had been

  59. doing this, he took the sin of the people and

  60. brought it before the Lord. Amen. So that is something

  61. that we need to learn, how passionate he was about

  62. prayer and that he knew that the Lord had the

  63. answer and the Lord could redeem and forgive and bring

  64. these people into the right place or to the right place.

  65. So let's just read what it says in chapter 9,

  66. 3 to 5. So it reads like this. So I

  67. turned to the Lord God and pleaded with him in

  68. prayer and petition, in fasting and in sackcloth and ashes.

  69. We have sinned and done wrong. We have been wicked.

  70. Can we move to the next one? We have sinned

  71. and done wrong. We have been wicked and have rebelled.

  72. We have turned away from your commands and lost. So

  73. here is Daniel checking before the Lord and saying, Lord,

  74. we have done wrong before your eyes. We have not

  75. followed you or what you have asked us to do.

  76. And how many of us, all of a sudden, we

  77. find ourselves perhaps doing something similar. The Lord has instructed

  78. us to do something or behave in some way or

  79. give us his word. And all of a sudden we realize,

  80. oh God, I mean, I haven't done what you are

  81. asking me to do. Or I have gone astray or

  82. I have done the wrong thing. But here is one

  83. lesson that we can learn. That we need to remember

  84. God's promises and that should drive us to prayer. We

  85. must be quick to confess our sins, even if they

  86. are tiny. Sometimes we say, well, it's a tiny thing.

  87. It's not too big. But the sooner that we repent,

  88. the faster the Lord will redeem us. And the faster

  89. will the Lord bring us into something else. Prayer, remember

  90. that prayer is not our last resort. It's our first response, okay?

  91. So we need to go in prayer every time that

  92. we feel that we are in need. Amen? So after that,

  93. in chapter 10, Daniel has an important vision. He is

  94. standing by the Tigris River. And this is an important

  95. river in that area. And when he was there, he

  96. was seeing two heavenly figures. And one of them, he

  97. described that it was magnificent, terrifying, and like a man

  98. clothed in linen with a body of barrel and a

  99. face like lightning. And he was overwhelmed. He was still

  100. in this three week of praying and fasting. But when

  101. he saw this celestial entity, he lost completely his strength.

  102. He went to the floor, I mean, face down. He

  103. had absolutely no strength to even lift up his head

  104. to look around and see what was going on. But

  105. we can guess who was that celestial. entity and this

  106. person touched him and at a touch he was still

  107. saying I can't do I can't move this is too

  108. much to me I can't even move around but by

  109. the touch of this celestial person he immediately recovered his

  110. strength and here's another learning for us I don't know

  111. if you have ever felt Laika, you had too much.

  112. And even if you had been on your knees and

  113. praying and crying, or like Daniel, that he was face down,

  114. with not even a strength to look around, because the

  115. challenges that we are going through are so heavy, so bad,

  116. and so many one after another one all together, that

  117. sometimes we feel like that. Sometimes we feel like there

  118. is no more I can do. And remember, if we pray,

  119. we ask the Lord, we ask the Holy Spirit, that

  120. heavenly touch can come. And the same way, at that

  121. point in time, Daniel was immediately recovering his strength. we

  122. can feel renewed, recovered, with strength to say, okay, Lord,

  123. what's the next one? No, no, no, no, we don't

  124. want a next one. But we can say, Lord, I

  125. can deal with this. The Bible also says, I can

  126. do all things through Christ who strengthens me. And when

  127. we repeat that, when we declare that, when we expect

  128. by the touch of the Holy Spirit, everything changes. Everything

  129. gets like, okay, there is light at the end of

  130. the tunnel. And that's how we can continue moving forward

  131. because the Lord is with us. Amen? So that chapter

  132. to us is giving us... some situations trust God when

  133. answers are delayed and we are going to read in

  134. that chapter the verse that we have there that is

  135. Daniel 10 12 to 13 that says Then he continued,

  136. do not be afraid, Daniel, since the first day that

  137. you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble

  138. yourself before your God, your words were heard. And I

  139. have come in response to them. But the prince of

  140. the Persian kingdom resisted me 21 days. Then Michael, one

  141. of the chief princes, came to help me. Because I

  142. was detained there with the king of Persia. In this

  143. particular situation, Daniel had been praying for God's help or

  144. some situation that he needed. And the help came. But

  145. the help didn't come immediately as soon as he was praying.

  146. But how amazing is this response that he gets that

  147. at the very first moment that you have prayed, I

  148. have heard you. Perhaps I haven't replied to you. Perhaps

  149. you didn't see the response immediately. But one thing you

  150. must be sure, I have heard you. My promises are

  151. with you. And I will bring you. to fulfillment of

  152. those promises so that is very important for us because

  153. yes we are in the world we are not part

  154. of the world but we are in the world and

  155. we face these challenges our sister Elizabeth was telling us

  156. that every single person that she talks to has shared

  157. some sort of challenging things and I reckon that we

  158. all We all are going through the same with friends,

  159. with family members, with other people that come to us

  160. seeking for help, advice, or even prayer. And we can

  161. see that every single case is difficult, is challenging, different nature.

  162. But all of them are the same burdening. And here

  163. is where we need to say, Lord, I know. That

  164. you have heard me. I know that my prayer has

  165. not gone, I mean, wasted. You knew that. You know

  166. what I need. You know me. And you are going

  167. to respond. Now, how are we going to wait? How

  168. are we going to spend time in the midst of

  169. all this until the Lord replies or responds to us?

  170. It is important for us to be ready. To get

  171. what the Lord has for us. Amen. And even if

  172. it takes time. Amen. I could do a marketing campaign

  173. now about there are two really good books written by

  174. Pastor Dave. That one of them is Forged in Stillness.

  175. The other one is Forged in the Waiting. Amen. And

  176. when you go through, you can see how. I mean,

  177. sometimes we have to wait. We have to wait for

  178. the time of the Lord. It is not our times.

  179. It is the Lord's timing. But when he replies, God

  180. is so amazing. So in the meantime, we can just

  181. take a bit of that learning and wait patiently. Don't

  182. give up because the Lord wants our faithfulness and he

  183. wants us to be there while we wait. Remember that

  184. spiritual battles are real, so we can't just avoid them.

  185. They are there, and we just have to embrace them,

  186. but with the confidence that the Lord is there with us.

  187. And one more thought. A delayed answer is not a

  188. denied answer, all right? It is there. The Lord will

  189. answer at the right time. We just need to What

  190. to do? Keep on praying. Keep on hoping. Keep on trusting. Amen.

  191. All right. Let's move to the third lesson now. That

  192. number three says, remember that God is sovereign over history.

  193. Remember that God is sovereign over history. We are in 2026.

  194. By now? There had been loads and loads of year. Well, actually,

  195. 2026 since Jesus Christ came. There had been more, even

  196. more before Christ. And we can be witnesses of all

  197. the wonderful things that the Lord has made over the history.

  198. How the Lord brought the people of Israel out of Egypt.

  199. All the miracles that happened there. And through the history,

  200. you can name one million, thousand millions of things, miracles

  201. that had happened in history. All right? And history shows

  202. that there have been good things. And really difficult things. Amen.

  203. For people, for countries, for kingdoms. There have been all

  204. sorts of things. But one thing that we have seen

  205. is that the Lord is sovereign over all this. It

  206. doesn't matter what happens on earth. He is still sovereign

  207. over everything. And that is something that we need to consider.

  208. That he is not threatening us. For what is happening

  209. on earth. Actually several of these events. Are really taking us.

  210. To the final victory. That is when. Resurrection comes. When

  211. the Lord comes again. To pick up his people. And

  212. resurrection goes. And we will be in heaven with the Lord.

  213. Forever and ever. Amen. So let's quickly read. Daniel 11.32.

  214. With flattery he will corrupt those who have violated the covenant,

  215. but the people who know their God will firmly resist him.

  216. So let's stand firm. Let's keep on praying. Let's just

  217. recognize that the battle is not, I mean, just a

  218. single thing. It is there. There is a spiritual realm there.

  219. I mean, that want to bring challenging things to us.

  220. But God is above everything, and he has proven over

  221. history about it. Amen? Something else that I would like

  222. to mention on chapter 11 is that this is the

  223. chapter where Daniel received the most prophecies and very detailed

  224. information about what was going to happen by the end

  225. of the times. Of course, he gave him idea of

  226. what was going to happen to the people of Israel

  227. during the exile and coming to an end, et cetera.

  228. He mentioned about how the kingdom of the north, the

  229. kingdom of the south were going to up and down, fights, battles, wars,

  230. et cetera, all these around the people of Israel. And

  231. we can see that over the years that has happened.

  232. Even when we were hearing earlier about Persia, Persia is Iran, okay?

  233. The name changed from Persia to Iran. So we can

  234. see that this has been for years. And the Lord

  235. gave Daniel with a specific information about what was going

  236. to happen in the end. So for us, it's important

  237. to recognize that what we are going through at this

  238. point in time, all what we can see between Israel

  239. and the countries around and Iran and all going up,

  240. going down in terms of power, et cetera, it is

  241. part of what was already shared long time ago. And

  242. what it is also shared in the book of Revelation

  243. because there is a lot of information there about how

  244. things were going to happen. But the most important thing

  245. for us in that situation is that regardless of what

  246. we see, regardless of how we feel like things are

  247. happening in the chaos in the world, we need to

  248. be sure of one thing. The Lord is sovereign. The

  249. Lord has promises for us. And the Lord will bring

  250. to completion everything. Every single one of his promises and

  251. the prophecies. Amen. So are we ready to receive the

  252. Lord for the second time? Well, we don't know if

  253. we will be able to see it. Or we will

  254. rest and then the Lord will come later. But that's

  255. something important that we have to live day by day.

  256. Remembering that there is hope. And even if we are

  257. going through like a dark tunnel. There is light at

  258. the end of the tunnel with the Lord. Amen. Okay.

  259. So very quickly we move to the last lesson that

  260. says number four, live with hope in God's final victory. Sometimes,

  261. I mean, when there are races, when there are competitions,

  262. when there is something, and we know that everybody is

  263. fighting for the finals, victory, et cetera, well, there is

  264. always uncertainty. Even in the World Cup, I mean, football,

  265. there were always thinking, okay, oh, my team is going

  266. to win. No, no, no, the team that is going

  267. to win is such and such. At the end of

  268. the day, okay, it was not the one that everybody

  269. was thinking about. But, I mean, there is always this

  270. situation that it's uncertainty around it. But with the Lord,

  271. victory is granted. Okay? He has won the Lord Jesus

  272. Christ even over death. He was raised. He is now

  273. in heaven. He has promised that he's coming once again.

  274. All the prophecies that was given before he came were

  275. completed in Jesus Christ. But now there are so many

  276. others that are still to happen. And if we saw

  277. that the previous ones had became reality, we need to

  278. make sure that we are ready to receive the new ones.

  279. Because trust me, they will take place. The Lord will

  280. come for the second time to pick up his church

  281. and reign forever. Amen. But with that one, will come

  282. a lot of tribulation. Were you aware? Yes. There has

  283. been in the book of Revelation talking about what is

  284. going to be the big tribulation. What is going to

  285. happen to those that will not go lifted up, that

  286. will not be lifted up with the Lord in the clouds?

  287. What is going to happen with all the people that

  288. will stay and will remain? And they will be looking

  289. around and say, what happened to the rest of the people?

  290. Where are they? Well, they have already been raptured. They

  291. have been gone with the Lord. So what is going

  292. to happen afterwards? So we need to be aware. We

  293. need to be conscious that all these things are to happen.

  294. And if we are confident that we will be in

  295. the list of people that the Lord will take with

  296. him and lift it up, the Lord. Thank God. We

  297. need to keep every day fighting for that and trusting

  298. and keeping faithful. But at the same time, how many

  299. people around us, family members, friends, people in our works, companies, etc.,

  300. they do not know about the Lord. Are they aware

  301. of what is going to happen afterwards? Perhaps not. And

  302. perhaps we are the only person that they will be

  303. able to hear about it. So we also need to

  304. make sure that we can share about our faith. And

  305. if you are shy about, I mean, the Bible or

  306. references or something, just share about what the Lord has

  307. done in your life. That would be the best testimony

  308. that you can share with anyone. And I think that

  309. if we could list all the different things, the testimonies

  310. that each one of us, how the Lord took us

  311. from where, It would be amazing. We would say, Lord,

  312. thank you for all these testimonies. Thank you for all

  313. these lives. Thank you for all what you have done

  314. for us, for each one of us, because we all

  315. were lost. We all didn't know about the Lord or

  316. we didn't have a relationship with him, perhaps the way

  317. that we have it now. But we need to continue

  318. praying for our family members, for our friends, for our

  319. church members, for everyone around us. So let's read what

  320. it says. Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the

  321. earth will awake, some to everlasting life, others to shame

  322. and everlasting contempt. Those who are wise will shine like

  323. the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many

  324. to righteousness like the stars forever and ever. All right?

  325. So that is important. How do we want to wake

  326. up to? In righteousness? In brightness? Or how we want

  327. to be at that point in time? We need to

  328. trust that there is a final victory and we want

  329. to be with the Lord in that case. So a

  330. couple of things. Endure trials with eternal perspective. Sometimes we

  331. are looking at the problem, we are looking at the

  332. challenge as if it would be the end of life.

  333. And perhaps in so many cases that could be a situation.

  334. But if we can see the trial with eternal perspective

  335. in terms of what the Lord has for us in eternity, wow,

  336. that everything changes. Everything gets different and we have hope.

  337. Live faithfully even when results are not immediate. Just trust

  338. the Lord. He will bring response to your questions and

  339. to your prayers. Look forward to God's ultimate victory and

  340. eternal life. Our future is secure because God has already

  341. gritten the final chapter. That's an amazing thing. He has

  342. gritten the final chapter. How it ends, it is there.

  343. The Lord knows it. He has gritten it. And for us,

  344. it is a promise. For us, it's something that we

  345. are aiming to. Amen? So, well, a couple of things

  346. before we finish. And we can summarize four points that

  347. we can learn from Daniel from chapters 9 to 12. Amen? So,

  348. number one, pray with humility and repentance. We have already

  349. talked about it. Humility and repentance. Number two, persevere when

  350. answers seem delayed. Don't give up. Never, ever give up.

  351. Number three, trust God's sovereign control over history. Independently of

  352. what's happening now, the season that we are living in,

  353. the words that we hear, The catastrophic situations that we

  354. have seen, everything is part of the plan. Everything is

  355. what the Lord has told us that was coming. So, again,

  356. the Lord is sovereign over history. And last one, live

  357. with hope in the resurrection and God's final victory. Amen? So,

  358. I would like to close with a verse that is

  359. in Daniel 12, 13. And this is something that the

  360. Lord told Daniel. Because something that was interesting is Daniel

  361. at the end said, Lord, I really don't understand. After

  362. he received all the prophecies and everything, he had to

  363. confess it was too much. And perhaps he didn't understand

  364. all what was on those prophecies. How the end of

  365. the times was going to be. How the... kingdoms were

  366. going to go up and down etc it was too

  367. much he only received those visions he only received the

  368. prophecy and he confessed to the lord lord i really

  369. don't understand and the lord in response he was telling

  370. him as for you go your way till the end

  371. you will rest and then at the end of the

  372. days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance And

  373. for us, that is something that must be very hopeful.

  374. Right now, we just need to continue living, praying, trusting, believing,

  375. having hope until, well, if we have to rest and

  376. die and waiting there until the Lord comes back again,

  377. as in Daniel, that he will arise to his inheritance

  378. at the end of the times. We will receive our

  379. inheritance as well. Amen. So may the Lord bless you.

  380. And I'll give it today.
