  1. For a short time to a reading in Colossians chapter 1.

    Colossians 1 chapter mention

  2. We're going to look at the end of the section that we read.

  3. The reading from verse 11.

  4. May you be strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might,

  5. for all endurance and patience, with joy, giving thanks to the Father,

  6. who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

  7. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness

  8. and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son,

  9. in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

  10. As you go through this letter that Paul wrote to the church at Colossae,

  11. and indeed as you go through many of Paul's writings,

  12. and as you go through the scriptures in general,

  13. you find that the writers, inspired by God,

  14. they are able to put into words, just in so few words,

  15. such a clear teaching.

  16. It's a gift I sometimes envy in people,

  17. being able to put into a few words,

  18. something that you would struggle,

  19. even in a few sentences or paragraphs, to put across.

  20. When I first went to study in Edinburgh,

  21. one of the first essays I handed in came back, marked,

  22. and I'd passed, and I was delighted,

  23. but there's a little bit of feedback on the essay,

  24. and the professor had said where I'd been writing strongly,

  25. or where I could improve,

  26. but one of the comments that really stood out for me was,

  27. a bit wordy.

  28. And you think to yourself, it's fine for a professor,

  29. he's able to put things across so clearly,

  30. but I was obviously struggling just to find words,

  31. and when you've got a word count to reach,

  32. you maybe just fill it in with a few extra words here and there.

  33. But I'm sure you all know people,

  34. and you're trying to get something across in words,

  35. and then someone just comes in,

  36. and in one sentence they're able to sum up things so beautifully,

  37. and just in a way that is so clear,

  38. and makes so much sense.

  39. It is a gift to be able to do it.

  40. And it is a gift that we have from God,

  41. that we have his word in such a way to us,

  42. and that his word comes across to us with so much clarity.

  43. Even when there's times when you're reading through something,

  44. and you've got questions about what you're reading,

  45. and you're wondering, where's this going,

  46. and how can we go forward with this?

  47. And yet it's followed so often by a qualifier

  48. that just sums up things so beautifully,

  49. and puts everything into perspective.

  50. And here as Paul is writing to the Colossians,

  51. he does this for us.

  52. He's talking here about living a life pleasing to God,

  53. which really begins there in verse 10,

  54. fully pleasing to him,

  55. bearing fruit in every good work,

  56. and increasing in the knowledge of God,

  57. being strengthened in power according to his glorious might,

  58. for all endurance and patience with joy,

  59. giving thanks to the Father.

  60. So there's so much there for us

  61. about the wonder of all that God has done for us,

  62. joyfully giving thanks to God.

  63. But there are people who are enduring things,

  64. who are suffering things,

  65. and so just to leave it there would make you leave you wondering,

  66. how can this be so?

  67. How can we go on in a manner worthy of the Lord,

  68. fully pleasing him,

  69. bearing fruit,

  70. being strengthened,

  71. enduring with patience,

  72. with joy,

  73. and giving thanks?

  74. How can you go on in this?

  75. Well, he goes on to give a reason why.

  76. In just a few words,

  77. he sums up for us

  78. a reason why

  79. they and we can go forward like that,

  80. looking to walk

  81. in a manner worthy of the Lord,

  82. fully pleasing him.

  83. And how is it?

  84. Well, he gives us

  85. great reason for thanksgiving

  86. and seeing the bigger picture

  87. and reminds them here

  88. of the love of God towards them,

  89. the love of God

  90. that will never leave them

  91. in the midst of all

  92. that they are seeking to do for him.

  93. And there are three reasons

  94. why they can focus here

  95. that we want to think about this evening.

  96. Three things that they have

  97. and we have through faith.

  98. You will have heard

  99. or seen the idea

  100. of a genie in the bottle.

  101. Maybe it's in a cartoon

  102. or something like that

  103. where someone finds a bottle

  104. and rubs the bottle

  105. and the genie pops out

  106. and you've got three wishes.

  107. It's make-believe, of course,

  108. but sometimes when you see this,

  109. it makes you think,

  110. what would I ask for?

  111. If I had such an opportunity,

  112. what would I ask for?

  113. But what if God was asking you?

  114. What do you want of me?

  115. So when I think of that question,

  116. I come back to Bartimaeus.

  117. Blind Bartimaeus who met with Jesus

  118. and Jesus asked him that very question.

  119. What do you want me to do for you?

  120. And what was Bartimaeus' response?

  121. Lord, that I may see.

  122. All the things that he could have asked for,

  123. it was that he could see.

  124. And that is what Jesus gave to him.

  125. Well, here we see three things

  126. that are ours through Christ.

  127. And they're not wishful thinking.

  128. They're not make-believe.

  129. They are ours through faith in Christ.

  130. And that's what Paul is reminding the Colossians here of.

  131. That in their going forward,

  132. in their living a life pleasing to God,

  133. bearing fruit,

  134. and all of these things,

  135. with patience and joy and giving thanks,

  136. he gives them three things

  137. that they can hold on to.

  138. And that's what we have in the middle of verse 12

  139. down to verse 14.

  140. And the three things that are highlighted for us

  141. are there is a share in the inheritance of the saints.

  142. That there is a deliverance,

  143. as it speaks of in verse 13,

  144. delivered us from the domain of darkness

  145. and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved son.

  146. And then the final one we see there in verse 14,

  147. that is redemption,

  148. the forgiveness of sins.

  149. Three things that could seem almost like wishful thinking for us.

  150. And yet it is what we have in Christ.

  151. I just want us to focus on these three things together

  152. just for a short time.

  153. And we begin with that,

  154. share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

  155. Everything that we have here,

  156. as Paul is writing,

  157. is the foundation is God.

  158. And what God has done for us

  159. in Jesus Christ,

  160. our Redeemer,

  161. who lives.

  162. That is the foundation of all of his writings.

  163. It's the foundation of scriptures,

  164. as we have it.

  165. It's the foundation of all that we see

  166. in the Old,

  167. right through to the New Testament.

  168. And language that Paul uses here

  169. has so much of it

  170. reflecting the Old Testament as well.

  171. In summing up in a few words,

  172. there's a depth of teaching here

  173. and a breadth of teaching

  174. that covers all kinds of situations

  175. down through the generations

  176. of God's people.

  177. And here as he speaks of a share

  178. in the inheritance of the saints in light,

  179. it takes us right back to the Old Testament

  180. and to the promises of God,

  181. to his covenant promises

  182. that he gave through Abraham,

  183. Isaac, and Jacob,

  184. that they would have an inheritance,

  185. that God's people would have an inheritance.

  186. And when you go back to the Old Testament,

  187. so much of it was to do with land

  188. and the promise of a land for God's people.

  189. And it's the promises that you see fulfilled

  190. during the Old Testament days

  191. with the Exodus,

  192. as God led the children of Israel out,

  193. he was leading them to the promised land,

  194. taking them out of slavery in Egypt

  195. to the promised land.

  196. And so there was a kind of exclusive side

  197. to that inheritance,

  198. that it was for God's chosen people

  199. in the Old Testament,

  200. God's chosen race.

  201. But yet there is a change for us here now

  202. in the New Testament.

  203. Still the same kind of language,

  204. this inheritance and a share in the inheritance,

  205. but there's a change.

  206. And that change is because of Christ's coming

  207. and of what he has done for his people.

  208. You see, the inheritance is broadened out.

  209. It's for all of the saints in light.

  210. And you think of this in light

  211. of how the Old Testament,

  212. we're looking at God's chosen people,

  213. but the New Testament speaks about Jew and Gentile.

  214. It speaks about all of God's people

  215. in a broader sense.

  216. And it's not just speaking about a land,

  217. it's more than that.

  218. We have an inheritance,

  219. a share in the inheritance of the saints in light.

  220. Of what?

  221. Of God's chosen place for his people.

  222. Not just a land in an earthly sense,

  223. but in a heavenly sense.

  224. Of what we have through Christ as our Lord.

  225. And when you think of inheritance,

  226. it's something that so often causes difficulties

  227. in this world.

  228. Especially when there's a lot to be gained

  229. from an inheritance.

  230. How many people and families

  231. have fallen out over an inheritance?

  232. Something that has been left by someone

  233. for somebody else.

  234. And maybe somebody's been left out.

  235. Feeling that they were due something.

  236. And they get nothing.

  237. And if you look at it so much

  238. in the world of the rich people

  239. who have passed away,

  240. how often you see it's caused

  241. so many problems.

  242. Famous people,

  243. you could almost list them off.

  244. People who have passed away.

  245. Michael Jackson,

  246. Bob Marley,

  247. John Lennon,

  248. Nelson Mandela,

  249. Robin Williams.

  250. There's been a whole host

  251. of famous people

  252. who have passed away.

  253. And if you look it up,

  254. what you find is

  255. what they've left behind

  256. has just caused

  257. so much tension.

  258. Fallouts.

  259. People claiming

  260. what they feel is rightfully theirs

  261. and somebody else has got it.

  262. even in some cases

  263. has been left to an animal

  264. or to a charity

  265. and they feel so hard done by.

  266. And it causes

  267. so many problems.

  268. But yet here we have

  269. a wonderful inheritance

  270. that is for all

  271. and for any

  272. who will put their trust

  273. in the Lord Jesus.

  274. It's for the saints,

  275. the holy ones,

  276. for Jew and Gentile,

  277. for young and old,

  278. for rich and poor.

  279. No matter what,

  280. it covers all.

  281. By faith in Christ,

  282. he has qualified you

  283. to share the inheritance

  284. of the saints

  285. in light.

  286. It is a wonderful promise.

  287. And Paul puts it

  288. to the Ephesians as well,

  289. where he speaks there

  290. in chapter 3,

  291. in verse 6,

  292. he says,

  293. this mystery is that

  294. the Gentiles are fellow heirs,

  295. members of the same body

  296. and partakers of the promise

  297. in Christ Jesus

  298. through the gospel.

  299. Again,

  300. just a few words

  301. that sum it up for us.

  302. The mystery

  303. that the Gentiles

  304. are fellow heirs,

  305. partakers of the promise

  306. in Christ Jesus

  307. through the gospel.

  308. So there's no debate,

  309. there's no dispute.

  310. It's what is ours

  311. through the gospel,

  312. through faith

  313. in Jesus Christ.

  314. And when you think

  315. of the famous people

  316. and the disputes

  317. over their inheritance,

  318. just looking at it

  319. for money,

  320. and yet the gospel

  321. has so much to offer

  322. on people

  323. who should away,

  324. they don't want it.

  325. And this is what is ours

  326. through Christ,

  327. an inheritance

  328. with the saints,

  329. something that can be

  330. never taken from us,

  331. that is ours

  332. through Christ.

  333. What a wonderful

  334. blessing that is.

  335. So then,

  336. in light of

  337. what he has spoken

  338. about before,

  339. of fully pleasing,

  340. bearing fruit,

  341. increasing in knowledge,

  342. having patience,

  343. with all joy,

  344. giving thanks,

  345. here is one reason

  346. why,

  347. the inheritance

  348. that is ours.

  349. The second thing

  350. we see here

  351. is a rescue

  352. from darkness.

  353. He has delivered us

  354. from the domain

  355. of darkness

  356. and transferred us

  357. to the kingdom

  358. of his beloved son.

  359. So as well as

  360. having something

  361. that we really

  362. had no right

  363. to,

  364. this inheritance,

  365. ours through

  366. the mercy of God,

  367. verse 3 leads on

  368. from there then.

  369. And it's telling us

  370. that there are two kingdoms

  371. that we have

  372. around us.

  373. That there is

  374. the kingdom

  375. of darkness

  376. and the kingdom

  377. of light,

  378. the kingdom

  379. of God.

  380. And we can only

  381. be in one

  382. or the other.

  383. And the one

  384. that should cause

  385. us fear

  386. is the kingdom

  387. of darkness.

  388. darkness.

  389. And yet,

  390. when you read

  391. in other places

  392. like in John's

  393. gospel,

  394. you read there

  395. that the people

  396. loved darkness.

  397. They loved that

  398. aspect of life

  399. where they felt

  400. hidden from God.

  401. And yet,

  402. there is that assurance

  403. that God will bring

  404. all into the light.

  405. But in what way?

  406. Well,

  407. here we are given

  408. assurance that

  409. when we put our

  410. trust in the Lord,

  411. he has delivered us

  412. from the domain

  413. of darkness

  414. and transferred us.

  415. So he's taken us

  416. from one

  417. and put us

  418. into the other.

  419. And we are put

  420. into the kingdom

  421. of his beloved

  422. son.

  423. Again,

  424. when you think

  425. of Bartimaeus,

  426. blind Bartimaeus,

  427. how he was brought

  428. from darkness

  429. to light.

  430. He was blind

  431. and could not see

  432. and yet,

  433. by the mercy of God,

  434. he was brought

  435. to see Jesus

  436. and follow him

  437. on the way.

  438. And that is,

  439. again,

  440. the Christian hope

  441. that we have here.

  442. The reasons

  443. that we have

  444. to be full of joy

  445. and patience

  446. and all of these things

  447. is that we've been

  448. brought from one place

  449. to another.

  450. John Newton

  451. was another one

  452. who saw that change

  453. and transformation

  454. himself.

  455. How he knew

  456. the grace of God

  457. and he put it so well

  458. when he said,

  459. it's almost like

  460. the darkness

  461. still has a little

  462. hold in some ways

  463. and yet he knows

  464. he's in the kingdom

  465. of light

  466. but he knows

  467. he's still a work

  468. in progress

  469. but he knows

  470. he's in the kingdom

  471. of the beloved son

  472. but he says,

  473. I am not what I ought

  474. to be.

  475. I am not what I want

  476. to be and I am not

  477. what I hope to be

  478. in another world

  479. but still,

  480. I am not what I once

  481. used to be

  482. and by the grace

  483. of God,

  484. I am what I am.

  485. The grace of God

  486. which enables us

  487. to see where we've

  488. been taken from

  489. and taken to.

  490. And again,

  491. this is Old Testament

  492. language for us as well

  493. when you look at

  494. the experience

  495. of God's people

  496. in the Old Testament

  497. of one kingdom

  498. and another

  499. waging war

  500. against them.

  501. You think of

  502. the children of Israel

  503. again

  504. and the Exodus

  505. and how it speaks

  506. of it in this way

  507. in Exodus 6

    Exodus 6:6

  508. verse 6

  509. it says,

  510. Therefore,

  511. say to the Israelites,

  512. I am the Lord

  513. and I will bring you

  514. out from under

  515. the yoke of the Egyptians.

  516. I will free you

  517. from being slaves

  518. to them

  519. and I will redeem you

  520. with an outstretched arm

  521. and with mighty acts

  522. of judgment.

  523. There is the Lord

  524. working in their midst.

  525. He is the one

  526. who brings them

  527. out of the yoke

  528. of the Egyptians

  529. and who brings them

  530. into another kingdom,

  531. another place.

  532. They were physically

  533. delivered from one

  534. to another

  535. but now the emphasis

  536. is on

  537. a kingdom of darkness,

  538. the works of evil

  539. of this world,

  540. to the kingdom

  541. of the beloved son

  542. and the redemption

  543. and the redemption

  544. that we have

  545. in Christ.

  546. And the trouble

  547. that the Colossians

  548. and so many other

  549. churches in Paul's day

  550. faced up to

  551. was the false teachers

  552. coming in

  553. and saying,

  554. you need to do

  555. you need to do

  556. you need to do

  557. you need to do

  558. X, Y and Z

  559. before you can be

  560. qualified for the

  561. kingdom of God.

  562. But no,

  563. he delivers

  564. from the domain

  565. of darkness.

  566. He brings us out

  567. and puts us in.

  568. Jesus does not just

  569. bring us out

  570. of darkness

  571. but he brings us

  572. into his own

  573. kingdom.

  574. Jesus saves us

  575. and he speaks here

  576. of that darkness

  577. and light

  578. and we speak

  579. of darkness

  580. around us

  581. especially in the

  582. winter months

  583. and we talk about

  584. maybe our eyes

  585. becoming accustomed

  586. to the dark

  587. so that you're able

  588. to see a little

  589. at least in the

  590. darkness

  591. when your eyes

  592. readjust

  593. but would you

  594. choose to live

  595. in darkness?

  596. Would you choose

  597. to go out

  598. on a dark night

  599. and say it's a

  600. full moon

  601. so I'll think

  602. I'll switch my car

  603. headlights off

  604. and just go

  605. by that little light

  606. I have from the moon?

  607. You wouldn't.

  608. You would still

  609. keep your lights on.

  610. You wouldn't go out

  611. to the shed

  612. and not switch

  613. on the light

  614. when it's dark

  615. to start looking

  616. around for something.

  617. You would put

  618. the lights on.

  619. and so

  620. as God

  621. speaks to us

  622. here about

  623. the kingdom

  624. of darkness

  625. and the kingdom

  626. of his beloved

  627. son

  628. which one

  629. would you want?

  630. Which one

  631. would you choose

  632. to be in?

  633. Why would be happy

  634. walking in darkness

  635. when there is the

  636. kingdom of his

  637. beloved son

  638. the kingdom

  639. of light

  640. to be part

  641. of?

  642. God

  643. is able

  644. to save

  645. and that's

  646. the wonder

  647. of it

  648. and he saves

  649. sinners

  650. transfers him

  651. from one

  652. kingdom

  653. to another

  654. and Jesus

  655. warned

  656. of this

  657. he warned

  658. in the gospel

  659. of John

  660. so often

  661. about the need

  662. to be in the light

  663. that he is

  664. the light

  665. of the world

  666. and in chapter 12

  667. he said

  668. to the people

  669. there

  670. Jesus said

  671. to them

  672. the light

  673. is among you

  674. for a little

  675. while longer

  676. walk while you

  677. have the light

  678. lest darkness

  679. overtake you

  680. the one who

  681. walks in darkness

  682. does not know

  683. where he is going

  684. while you have

  685. the light

  686. believe in the light

  687. that you may

  688. become sons

  689. of the light

  690. and here we have

  691. the kingdom

  692. of his beloved

  693. son

  694. that we would

  695. be his sons

  696. of light

  697. so God

  698. has qualified

  699. you for an

  700. inheritance

  701. he has

  702. transferred you

  703. from the

  704. domain of

  705. darkness

  706. to the

  707. kingdom

  708. of his

  709. beloved

  710. son

  711. there are

  712. two reasons

  713. to go on

  714. and joy

  715. and thanksgiving

  716. and you have

  717. the third

  718. and final one

  719. here as well

  720. in verse 14

  721. the kingdom

  722. of the beloved

  723. son

  724. and it's in the

  725. son

  726. in whom

  727. we have

  728. redemption

  729. the forgiveness

  730. of sins

  731. so we are

  732. brought into

  733. view of

  734. the cross

  735. now

  736. of all

  737. that has been

  738. done for us

  739. on the cross

  740. of Christ

  741. the redemption

  742. the forgiveness

  743. of sin

  744. that is ours

  745. through Christ

  746. so we have

  747. an inheritance

  748. we have a rescue

  749. but perhaps

  750. even more

  751. importantly

  752. we have

  753. the forgiveness

  754. of sins

  755. we couldn't

  756. do any

  757. of these

  758. things

  759. we couldn't

  760. give ourselves

  761. the inheritance

  762. we couldn't

  763. transfer ourselves

  764. from the

  765. kingdom of

  766. darkness

  767. to light

  768. and we

  769. certainly

  770. could never

  771. redeem

  772. ourselves

  773. because as

  774. the psalmist

  775. says

  776. to redeem

  777. my life

  778. is costly

  779. none

  780. sufficient

  781. price

  782. can pay

  783. but the

  784. Lord Jesus

  785. has paid

  786. it for us

  787. we have

  788. redemption

  789. we have

  790. redeemed

  791. a price

  792. has been

  793. paid

  794. and again

  795. that word

  796. has reference

  797. to the

  798. Old Testament

  799. redemption

  800. is so much

  801. related to

  802. slavery

  803. and to

  804. being in

  805. bondage

  806. and to

  807. be redeemed

  808. was to

  809. be set

  810. free

  811. and that's

  812. certainly

  813. what the

  814. people would

  815. have had

  816. in their

  817. mind

  818. here

  819. even

  820. looking

  821. back

  822. to the

  823. exodus

  824. and being

  825. slaves

  826. in Egypt

  827. to be

  828. redeemed

  829. was to

  830. be set

  831. free

  832. from that

  833. slavery

  834. so now

  835. we are

  836. looking at

  837. it in

  838. another

  839. way

  840. a

  841. redemption

  842. the

  843. forgiveness

  844. of sin

  845. the Bible

  846. the New

  847. Testament

  848. speaks about

  849. being in

  850. bondage

  851. to sin

  852. being slaves

  853. to sin

  854. and the

  855. only way

  856. to be

  857. freed

  858. is through

  859. the price

  860. being paid

  861. for us

  862. and Christ

  863. came to

  864. redeem

  865. sinners

  866. to save

  867. sinners

  868. from their

  869. sin

  870. so that no

  871. longer we

  872. will be

  873. slaves to

  874. sin

  875. but we

  876. will be

  877. free

  878. in him

  879. and the

  880. image here

  881. you think

  882. of being

  883. set free

  884. from prison

  885. there's almost

  886. two ways

  887. it can

  888. happen

  889. there was a

  890. series called

  891. prison break

  892. where two

  893. brothers escaped

  894. from prison

  895. but all the

  896. time that they

  897. had escaped

  898. they were always

  899. looking behind

  900. them and

  901. wondering

  902. would they be

  903. caught

  904. would they be

  905. found out

  906. would they be

  907. put back

  908. in

  909. and that's

  910. one way

  911. you could

  912. look at

  913. this

  914. a freedom

  915. a forgiveness

  916. of sins

  917. but we're

  918. always looking

  919. behind our

  920. back

  921. just like

  922. being on

  923. run

  924. on the run

  925. from prison

  926. and you

  927. can't live

  928. your life

  929. because you're

  930. always in

  931. fear

  932. you're always

  933. wondering

  934. what's

  935. ahead

  936. but the

  937. image here

  938. is not

  939. that

  940. it's much

  941. more powerful

  942. the image

  943. is of

  944. a rescue

  945. of being

  946. freed

  947. of being

  948. found

  949. guilty

  950. and put

  951. in prison

  952. but someone

  953. else has

  954. come

  955. someone else

  956. has confessed

  957. someone else

  958. has taken

  959. the guilt

  960. that you

  961. had

  962. and taken

  963. it on

  964. themselves

  965. so you

  966. are set

  967. free

  968. because they

  969. have taken

  970. the price

  971. and that is

  972. what we have

  973. here

  974. we have

  975. redemption

  976. the forgiveness

  977. of sin

  978. because

  979. as Mark

  980. puts it

  981. in his

  982. gospel

  983. as it

  984. says in

  985. his gospel

  986. for even

  987. the son

  988. of man

  989. did not

  990. come to

  991. be served

  992. but to

  993. serve

  994. and to

  995. give his

  996. life

  997. as a

  998. ransom

  999. for many

  1000. he has

  1001. redeemed

  1002. his

  1003. people

  1004. so we

  1005. have these

  1006. three things

  1007. three things

  1008. that for

  1009. some

  1010. it can

  1011. seem

  1012. just like

  1013. wishful

  1014. thinking

  1015. that we

  1016. would ever

  1017. have such

  1018. a blessing

  1019. of God

  1020. in Christ

  1021. but here

  1022. we are

  1023. told

  1024. what is

  1025. ours

  1026. through

  1027. faith

  1028. in Christ

  1029. and why

  1030. we can

  1031. go on

  1032. strengthened

  1033. with endurance

  1034. with patience

  1035. with joy

  1036. giving thanks

  1037. because

  1038. we have

  1039. a share

  1040. in the

  1041. inheritance

  1042. of the

  1043. saints

  1044. we have

  1045. been

  1046. delivered

  1047. from the

  1048. domain

  1049. of darkness

  1050. and transferred

  1051. to the

  1052. kingdom

  1053. of his

  1054. beloved

  1055. son

  1056. and we

  1057. have

  1058. redemption

  1059. we have

  1060. freedom

  1061. we have

  1062. the forgiveness

  1063. of sin

  1064. isn't it a

  1065. wonderful

  1066. reason

  1067. to give

  1068. thanks to

  1069. God

  1070. for what

  1071. we have

  1072. through

  1073. Christ

  1074. and why

  1075. we aim

  1076. to live

  1077. a life

  1078. fully

  1079. pleasing

  1080. to him

  1081. in just

  1082. these few

  1083. words

  1084. it is

  1085. summed up

  1086. so beautifully

  1087. for us

  1088. what we

  1089. have

  1090. in Christ

  1091. these

  1092. three

  1093. wonderful

  1094. things

  1095. that are

  1096. ours

  1097. through

  1098. faith

  1099. and may

  1100. God's

  1101. words

  1102. strengthen

  1103. us

  1104. and help

  1105. us

  1106. to go

  1107. on

  1108. living

  1109. for him

  1110. knowing

  1111. and reminding

  1112. ourselves

  1113. of what

  1114. is ours

  1115. in Christ

  1116. let us

  1117. pray

  1118. God's

  1119. I'm

  1120. we're

  1121. all

  1122. we're

  1123. we're

  1124. all

  1125. we're

  1126. we offer

  1127. to be

  1128. we're

  1129. we're

  1130. we're

  1131. going to
