Second Chronicles chapter one verse one says, and Solomon the

son of David was strengthened in his Kingdom, and the Lord his

God was with him and magnified him exceedingly.

Jump down to verse #13 Then Solomon came from his journey to

the high place that was at Gibeon to Jerusalem from before

the Tabernacle, the congregation, and reigned over

Israel, the word of God for the people of God.

Thanks be unto God as you take your seat, help me out.

I'm worried about a couple people.

Help me out real quick. Let's just do a real check.

Come on, baby. I hear you.

Come on. Glory to God in this third

installment of this series. I've got my daddy's blueprints.

I'm going to preach from the thought putting it all together.

God, y'all got real quiet all of a sudden.

I know it was the heat. It hit me all of a sudden.

Help me out. Hey say hey neighbor, putting it

all together. All right, putting it all

together. You know something funny

happened just the other day. I was on FaceTime Deacon houses

with my siblings and we were all laughing and catching up and

sharing stories. Matter of fact, I'll just go

ahead and tell you I was on the phone on FaceTime.

It's a lawyer Dick and Davis and with my youngest brother

Carrington, to whom sounds very close to me.

Sounds very close to me. And as as we were sharing

stories and just talking, suddenly my, my sister's face

had lit up. She said, wait, wait, wait,

y'all? She said, I've got to show you

something. And so she got up, I believe she

was at her house and adjusted her camera and carefully panned

over to this bookcase. And on those shelves, to my

surprise, for all these intricate Lego collections,

where's DJ at? But they were not just any

little blocks. I'm talking about a full 3D Lego

typewriter. I've never seen them all my

life. I was blown away.

And she said, Matt, look, it works.

I'm not a tea talk. It works.

I said, you put ink in it. And the Lego typewriter, she

said it works. I said, OK, OK, so she's going

just, you know, panning through this collection of Legos 3DS

that she's made, and she stops at this, this Lego version of

Stewie from Family Guy. Praise the Lord.

I knew it was a couple of people who watched Family Guy.

I knew it was. Thank you, Lord.

I knew it was going to come out, come out again.

I sat there. I really was.

I was amazed as I was peeping into my phone at this camera and

I couldn't ask. I said, girl, tell me, how did

you even do this? And Deacon housing and and that

little chest of cat smiles she got.

She looked at me and Karensen from her camera and said, Matt,

the project came with instructions.

She said you've got to follow each instruction if you want the

end result to match the picture they give you.

That's where we find ourselves, in between the black and white

pages of the book before you, or the electronic device on which

you may be reading from. Standing right dab in the middle

of a story where God has handed down the instructions, the

plans, the blueprints. And just like those Lego

projects, it's not about guessing, it's not about

rushing, it's not even about skipping steps.

But it's all about following what's been laid out piece by

piece so that the final outcome looks just like what the

intentions were of the master. If you will ride along with me,

I think I can get in the sky pretty quick.

But I've got a few movements in this text I want to explore.

You ready? I might thank him.

The first movement is in the very first verse, Second

Chronicles chapter one verse, one says, and Solomon, the son

of David was strengthened in his Kingdom.

Then the Lord his God was with him.

Is that what your Bible says and it says and magnified him

exceedingly. The very first movement of this

text is that we find you've got to stand strong with sovereign

support. To put it all together.

You got to stand strong with sovereign support.

Look at this, before Solomon lifted a stone or even raise a

scepter, the word says David, the father of Solomon, was

shrimpened in his Kingdom, and the Lord his God was with him

and magnified him exceedingly. Don't skip past that, because

before Solomon ruled, God had strengthened him.

That's real good. That's real good because it

wasn't about Solomon's title. Nah, it wasn't about Solomon's

experiences to pinky. Nah, it wasn't even about

Solomon's charm TT 2 But it was about the God who stood behind

him. It's here that the text shows us

literally from Psalm 20 and seven that says some trust in

Chariots and some in horses, but we will remember the name of our

God. That Solomon here shows us that

you got to stand on strength and not status.

Well, that's good preaching right there.

You got to stand on strength and not status.

Can I let you know this today that you don't need the crown

when you already carry God's covering?

I don't know who and what you're there is, but you don't need the

crown when God's giving you His covering.

You don't have to chase the world's approval when you stand

under God. God's anointing help me Jesus.

The text also shows us that he is strengthened by sovereign

supply. I was reading and I found this

scripture, but I think so eloquently shows us here how

Solomon in this moment of beginning his reign did not

start, but status did not start, but things that would be

flashing light scam. No, none of that.

He starts here being strengthened by sovereign

supplies. Zechariah chapter 4, verse 6

Zechariah 4:6

says not by night, nor by power, but by my spirit, said the Lord

of hosts, I'll let you know that the oil on your life outruns the

opposition against your life. I know that was that was a whole

lot. I know I got you.

Let me rewind it back for you. I send the oil on your lifeout

runs the opposition against your life.

Why? Because you are not self-made.

You are spirit made and I know we live in the world and

everybody says I made myself and I did this for myself, but I, I

want to call you back unto the mind of God.

That's where you and I originated before we were ever

anything. We were the thoughts of God, the

thought of God that was actualized in His creation of

your father and mother and the father and mother and the father

and mother and the father and mother and their father and

mother and their father and mother.

To bring you and I to this point.

Now that we can now be the actualization of God's thought

and that we can live out the realities of how God sees you

and how He sees me. Help me out.

Nudge your neighbor and say neighbor, you ain't self-made,

you ain't self-made, you ain't self-made.

But here in this first movement, we also see that Solomon must

get some, some type of wisdom, knowledge, understanding to know

that we are all set up for a spiritual success.

I promise you, I'm in your body, but I'm just trying to fly in

the sky real quick. Proverbs 16 and three says

commit thy works unto the Lord and thy thoughts shall be

established. The text says it was him that

Solomon, the son of David was strengthened in his Kingdom and

the Lord his God was. You ain't got no Bibles open.

You missed it, I said. And the Lord his God was with

him. This is the next part that

really trips me out because the text says and magnified him

exceedingly. When God magnifies you, no one

can minimize you. I, I, I think you missed it.

I think you missed it. And like I this, this stop

button is really popular today. Let me stop, let me rewind it

back for you and let me hit play.

I said, when God magnifies you, no one can minimize you.

It's not about proving yourself. It's about positioning yourself

under God's hand. Here in the very first movement

of this text, we find that Solomon teaches us us teaches us

that when we got to put it all together, you got to that stands

strong in sovereign support. But secondarily, as we continue

in the text, Solomon shows us in the second movement that you've

got to be surrounded strategically for sacred

stewardship. You like that word play on the S

Come here. Let me give it to you again.

I said you got to be surrounded strategically for sacred

stewardship. It's in your Bible saying

Chronicles chapter one, verse two and three says then Solomon

spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of

hundreds, and to the judges, and to every governor in on Israel,

and the chief of the Father. 3 So Solomon and Arthur

congregation with him went to the high place that was at

Gibeon, for there was the Tabernacle of the congregation

of God, which Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the

rudeness, the second, the second movement of the sex and

surrounding strategically for sacred stewardship.

Solomon gathered Israel's captains, Solomon gathered

Israel's judges, Solomon gathered Israel's elders, and he

surrounded himself with all the right people.

Why? Because you can't build sacred

things with scattered carnal people.

I had to drop the mic for you a little bit so you can hear that,

That you can't build sacred things with scattered carnal

people. That here he shows us that he

had to gather greatness and not groupies.

My name, brothers and sisters. I know, I know.

We live in such a strange, odd, weird time right now that

everybody want their own clique. Everybody want their own circle

and they don't like circles or overlap.

Because you ain't going to beef and you ain't going to be nice.

But this person, and I don't like that person.

No, no, no, no, no, no. Solomon don't get caught up in

all that drama. Hallelujah.

God, He does not get caught up in all that foolishness.

Come here, I can hear Jennifer Pitts now.

Solomon does not get caught up in all that high school mess

because some of us still live in our high school glory days.

Class of 67, Class of 55, Class of 2008, Class of No, no, no,

no. Y'all know it's the truth.

That's why you giggle. Somebody still talking, but I

still got it at the €35 reunion. Okay, praise the I'm gonna leave

alone. I got a few minutes on the

cloud, but he got this still, he got this greatness and oh, he

doesn't gather groupies. Proverbs 13 and 20 says he then

walketh with the wise men shall be wise.

I want to let you know that you can't fly with eagles if you're

still nesting with chickens. Who you walk with shapes who

where you land my name, brothers and sisters.

If you show me your circle, I see your future.

It doesn't take a profit for that because who you hanger?

But come here, Mama. What?

She said Father. Oh, y'all don't like that one?

We must still be living in there.

Birds of a feather flock together.

I'm going to leave it alone. I felt something.

I'm going to leave it alone. Hallelujah to God.

So he gathers the greatness and not groupies because he realized

that he needed counselor, not chaos.

You missed it. It's in the Bible.

The Bible says then Solomon spake unto all the Israel, to

the captains of thousands and of hundreds and to the judges and

to every governor in all Israel, the chief of the what fathers?

He said, I've got to go and make sure that this pattern is tight,

that this blueprint has no holes in it.

You got to make sure that every level and layer is super put

together. So he says, I don't need

counsel. I need I don't need chaos.

I need counsel. Proverbs 11 and 14 says where no

counsel is, the people fall. But in the multitude of

counselors, there is safety. I'm going to let you know that

your future is shaped by the voices you trust and one wrong

voice can collapse the whole project you are trying to build

in life. I got to keep on moving, but I'm

going to let you know that the voice in your ear determines how

you walk. Come here.

That's why God is always so concerned about our sight,

because if we can never get our sight just on Him, then we can

get our ears tuned to His voice and He will gleed and guide us

in all ways and truth. The text shows us here that He

surrounds himself with spiritual sensitivity.

Amos chapter 3 and verse 3 says can two walk together except

Amos 3 · chapter mention

they agree. I won't let you know.

If they can't agree at the altar, then they can't advance

in your assignment. That agreement does not mean

control, it means covenants. I think I better add a little

bit more to this before I take it back.

Agreement does not mean control, it means covenant.

And you don't need people who are in competition with you.

You don't need people who are complacent.

Look at this, look at this, look at this.

Solomon built the covenant, not competition.

He didn't gather people who wanted to outshine him, nor did

he lean on the convenient people or the complacent people.

I know that's tight, but it's still right.

Because convenient people come and it's fun.

Hallelujah. But Covenant people saving, It's

hard. Convenient people cheer when

you're winning, but Covenant people cover you when you're

wounded. Convenient people stand beside

you on the spotlight, but Covenant people stand behind you

in the struggle. I feel like I'm gonna go a

little bit deeper, that if you don't find yourself but these

people who are competitive and these people who are complacent

and these people who are always just there for the chaos and the

convenience, you'll find yourself in a state of

disobedience or disunity. Because disobedience or disunity

doesn't just threaten every dream, every idea, every plan

that God's given you, but it threatens your entire life

system. It threatens your personal

destiny. It derails your calling and it

delays your purpose. Come here and your family.

It plants seeds of division, bitterness, and cycles of

generational pain where there should have been healing and

blessings in your business. It fractures trust and opens the

adored to things that are of question and could be

compromised as and ultimately weakens your witness as a

believer in the marketplace, in your community, in breeds and

justice fosters neglect. And are you in the room And

silence is the prophetic voice that's supposed to stand for the

vulnerable in the church. Disobedience and disunity will

turn a House of power into a hollow institution, a place

where the Spirit can't flow because the people can't align.

Come here Jesus. Jesus said there's nothing more

than a cemetery, a white wash, tombs that when disobedience

moves in, destiny moves out. But when covenant stays, glory

shows up. I'm reminded.

I'm reminded of an elite championship gaming team.

The strategy was clear, but one showboater decided to flex for

the crowd instead of following the plan.

And suddenly the whole team crumbles.

Not because of lack of skill, but because one ego broke the

flow. Solomon.

Solomon surrounds himself wisely.

Nor one wrong spirit can break the blessing God was about to

release. I think I better say this again.

I said I think last week, week before last.

But I need to let you know that your next move needs covenant

joints, not casual joints. You need people welded to your

purpose and not people clinging to your platform.

Lord, I'm preaching better than you talking.

Oh my God, I got to go on because I'm almost out of time.

But here we find ourselves into the third movement of the text.

And the third movement of the text we see a little bit more

happening. You ready?

It's in your Bible first, Second Chronicles, chapter one verse #3

says so Solomon and all the congregation with him went to

the high place that was at Gibeon.

For there was the Tabernacle of the congregation of God, which

Moses the servant of the Lord had made in the rudeness.

For the ark of God had David brought up from the kid, John,

Jerome to the place which David had prepared for it.

For he had pitched the tits for it at Jerusalem. 5 Moreover than

brazen altar, than Baziel the son of your eye, the son of her

had made, he put before the Tabernacle of the Lord, and

Solomon and the congregation sought unto it. 6 And I'm done.

And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar before the

Lord, which was at the Tabernacle.

Of the congregation and offered 1000 burnt offerings upon it.

Notice the third movement of the text is that you've got to seek

sacred space before sovereign speech.

I said you've got to seek sacred space before having sovereign

speech. Notice what Solomon does next.

He leads the people to the high please at Gibeon and offers 1000

burnt offerings. Come here.

I think I better pause real quick before I get into this

clothes. That Gibbon wasn't just any old

location. It was the place where the

Tabernacle, glory to God of Moses, still stood, where Israel

had historically met with God, and Solomon had to go back to

the last place where God's presence had tangibly dwelt.

Because sometimes you can't step forward until you go back to the

altar. Lord, that was good for me.

I'm sorry I had to praise Him. Because you keep wanting to go

forward. But I come to tell you, you

can't go forward without God. And I know he may have given you

a dream, may give you a blueprint, but if you don't

include God in every step and facet, come here to Lauria.

You will see the intended results.

I want, I want to let you know that it's here.

It's here. The Bible says that Gibeon.

Gibeon was not just any old location, but it was the place

where they last had worshipped. It's the place they had last

seen God move tangibly. Some people have moved on with

their lives but forgot that praise gave them.

But they need them, and they found themselves at the end of

their hope. They found they found themselves

forgetting the promises they made when they were desperate

for a breakthrough. So Solomon, Solomon now teaches

us that worship is not just a future act, but it's a return to

the last place where you and God met deeply.

I think I better say that for me.

I said Solomon teaches us that worship is not just a future

act, but it's a return to the last place where you and God met

deeply to remind your spirit that presence matters more than

progress. It's not about looking like

you've moved on. It's about making sure you

haven't left the God who brought you this far.

Come here. Him, right?

And we've come this far by faith, trusting and depending on

his, on his word, on his word that he of the text shows us

that if we're going to go forward, we got to be like the

old writer, what's his name? Andre Crotch.

When he said take me back, take me back to the Lord, to the

place where I first received you.

Sometimes before God can move you forward and he has to bring

you back, he's got to bring you back to the place where your

knees hit the floor, where your voice it's cracked in

desperation, where you clung to him because you had nothing

else. And when the people of God

remember where they first met him, when they remember the

autumn, when they remember the praise they lifted when they

were at the end of the rope, that's when heaven.

Yeah, heaven opens up and the glory fills the house.

I'm sorry, but let me have this to your gumbo before I get out

your kitchen. That our worship is not some

rudimentary ritual. Yeah, but it has to be a

lifestyle. One that suppresses, surpasses

our temporary emotions. One that surpasses, surpasses

our temporary feelings, yet allows God to use those same

emotions, that allows God to use those same feelings to help us

recognize his spirit when he moves, when we've got a lot of

people, as Second Timothy three and five says, refine ourselves,

him the place of having a form here, a form of godliness, but

denying the power thereof them because we won't worship God.

Worship God not just on Sunday, not just for the 90 minutes I

call your attention to God, but when you worship God with your

lifestyle. The Bible says yeah, that we'll

find ourselves living beneath the idea that God has for our

life. How would we do it?

Do it. Remember too prideful to cry in

service will do it. Remember too prideful to yell

and dance. But do it remember too prideful

to jump and shout. Remember too prideful to give

God back his resources. Let me tell you, pride.

Pride will trap you in dead religion by your soul longs for

fresh revelation. So Jesus here allows us again to

know that you and I can't have dead worship you and I can't

elevate being fake and phony, treating God like a side piece.

But we gotta be like Solomon and we'll say Lord, I worship

because worship the man surrender.

Worship the round demands me and you to surrender until we

stretch every part of us until the part of us say that we keep

hidden from God becomes exposed to the Lord.

Give your worship never breaks your right.

It's not a workshop, it's just performance and we've got people

on stages and platforms just God performing because it keeps the

applause of people. But it it's the heart of God.

Hold on one second. I feel like I better go further

here because the text shows us that this man of God named

Solomon had prioritized presence before power.

I said he prioritized presence before power.

Come here. He prioritized presence before

power. John 4 and 23 says that the

Father seeketh such to worship Him in spirit and in true.

And your author will take you where your ambition never could.

You can chase positions, but only worship gives you proximity

to God. I'm gonna get out of here now,

but I'm so glad that the text shows us that Solomon offered

obedience over the optics. I'm so glad the text here shows

us what he does when they finally get to get beyond the

high place, that when they finally get to the church house,

when they finally get to the sanctuary, He does not put his

mind on what just happened. He does not put his mind on his

daddy dying. He doesn't put his mind harm

this group of people with him, but he said his mind harm the

Lord. I feel like preaching God and

the Bible shows us that. I see.

Yeah. He offers obedience over the

optics because it's better to obey than to sacrifice.

I'm going to get out of here now, but I've got to let you

know that heaven. He responds to surrender and not

stage light Tylerman yes, God wasn't putting on the show, but

he was laying himself down because putting on the show.

Yes, God might impress the people, but it would help you

Blocked by the power of God. Disobedience doesn't just cause

a leader his personal blessing, but it threatens the entire

Kingdom. And let me break it down a

little further. That disobedience doesn't just

threaten the Kingdom. It threatens your destiny.

It threatens your family's unity.

It threatens your business integrity.

It threatens your community's arrival.

It threatens the future of our church.

And when you disobey, disobeying God and your family, you pass

down patterns of dysfunction instead of patterns of

generational breakthrough. I'm so glad that you can find

yourself him the tax because the tax shows us that when you

disobeying God in your business, you sacrifice integrity for

short term gain, but you'll lose long term trust when you disobey

God in your community. You can shimmy to cycles of

injustice etcetera, rising up as an agent of change.

And when we disobey God as a church, we become a museum.

Come here, listen to me. A Museum of religion, etcetera,

movement, a revival and resurrection.

So Solomon says I'm a city right here and I'm a worship while I

wait. I'm a worship him, the House of

the Lord. I know you're trying to hear me

over the organ, but I want to let you know that you got to put

your mind on God here because there's still more to go.

There's still away the journey. There's still more for you to

do. There's still more for your

plan. And you can't get stopped.

You can't get paused, you can't get caught, can't get snagged,

they can't get trapped. Right here, 'cause right here

God wants to see how will you handle the waiting room of life.

God wants to see how will you handle this place of not there

yet, this place of in between. Will you worship Him this place

or will you cause yourself to plan your party man that the

text shows us to put it together.

You got to commit to worshipping, worshipping him to

wait because when you worship him to wait, The Bible shows us

that God will whisper as he watch him to wait.

Hold on Alan, I got to get this one out.

I said God will whisper as he watches you wait, because how

you posture yourself in the waiting determines what you're

carrying, the winning. I said how you posture yourself,

him, the waiting, determines what you're carrying, Him, the

winning. I want to let you know today

that in this place of waiting, you'll find yourself #4 stepping

into a sovereign selection and supernatural supply.

I know it's my time, but I got to go.

I got to let you know that it was because of his worship that

Solomon now, yes Sir, prioritizes the presence of God

and he surrounds himself with the right people and they return

to the altar. And here comes the moment of

God's encounter. Verse #7 says, after all of that

worship, you got your Bible. I'm about to go for real, going

to fly together. You ready in verse #7 says In

that night God did appear unto Solomon and said unto him, ask

what I should give thee. I'm so glad tonight that we're

all about to leave together because I want to leave this

with you on the tablets of your heart that when you worship

you'll find yourself in a different position that you've

never been in before. And the text shows us all that

solemn had did and I'm going to let you know that when God came

to Solomon, God did enhance Solomon A to do list.

No, he invited him into a conversation.

And here's the mind blowing homiletical highlight.

We keep asking God for solutions when God it's posing questions

because you and I are the solution He's placed in the

earth. I think he missed it.

Let me run it back real quick. I said you and I are the

solution through the Russians. The enemy wants to trap you in

doubt, make you question your purpose.

He wants to make you believe you're stuck waiting on God to

fix it when God's already ordered yourselves, crafted the

plan. And that leans in asking you and

I, how do you want me to move with you?

That's all God was asking Solomon.

He saw his worship. And so God says, what do you

want me to do through you? Oh my God, you've been given a

genius, you've been given gifts and you've been given graces.

But will you activate them by faith?

So God questions Solomon. His question wasn't about

filling a God gap, it was about unlocking Solomon's own calling.

Because Heaven's question is not because God is unsure, it's

because he's trying to reveal to you and I what's already inside

of us. I've got to go for real now.

You want to put it back together, Go back to the altar.

And when you go to the altar, you won't find God giving you

something else to do. But you're fine, God asking a

question. What do you want me to do?

I'm going to go for real now, but I want to let you know that

God has Solomon. What do you want?

He could have had a wealth, He could have had his enemies

killed. But he said, Lord, give me

wisdom. I got to leave for real now.

He didn't want weapons. He didn't want wealth, but he

wanted wisdom. And for some of us in this

season, they got enough money, didn't fumble that enough.

He didn't have enough relationships, been in and out

of them. But in this season we got to be

like Solomon and say, Lord, give me wisdom, Lord, give me wisdom,

because with wisdom I can win every war.

With wisdom I can handle every storm.

With wisdom I can triumph every tail.

With wisdom I know I want to lose.

Lord, give me wisdom. Lord, give me wisdom.

Putting it back together. Solomon does not ask for wealth.

It's a lot of scripture. I didn't go through all of it

because I want you to see just a few intricate details that at

the every step of this process. At the end of the day, it was

not about something else. I can get to be flashy.

It was not something else for me to parade myself in this glory

of status and stature. But he realizes that if I'm

going to go to another level, I've already got your hand on

me. You're already with me, with

your spirit. But now I need check this out

not know how knowledge. I need wisdom.

And I'll be honest, for a lot of us, Hallelujah, the thing that

we lack it's wisdom for the moment.

I I I know, I know you may be offended because you say I'm 87

1/2. How you going to tell me I need

wisdom? Hear me in the Holy Ghost that

you need wisdom for a day you and I have never experienced it

might be similar, but you need wisdom to navigate this move.

This prayer was, Lord, there's a lot around me, but my eyes days

are fixed on you. And because it's fixed on you,

Lord, and down me with wisdom. Listen, I'm going to pray for

you today as we leave this place before I pray for you, you may

not know Jesus in the free pardon of your sin.

I want to invite you to get to know for yourself that God wants

to not only just be there with you, but He wants to be there

beside you, in you, around you. They don't want you to be

something, somewhere that you pick up when it's convenient,

but he wants to always be there leading you.

That's why he hung, bled, and died.

Not so that you could be by yourself.

Because this world we lives in, right living right now, want you

to be isolated. Thank you Deacon House, this

world that we live in want you to be by yourself.

That's why we still deal with come here, Surgeon General, this

issue of isolationism that people are secretly fighting

depression. And you come to church and you

play like you, OK, But I know you struggling because in your

mind, you're still stuck in a room.

You're still stuck in a place that you have allowed yourself

to hide in, but don't let you know.

Get out of that room. Come to the altar, make a alt at

your house, wherever you're at. God wants to come into that

place. He wants to commune, converse

with you. He don't want that cute little

prayer. He don't want that little 2

second grace. God wants your heart.

He wants you to break yourself, break your back, bend yourself

in His presence because He wants to show that I really am

everything you need. Let's pray this prayer with me.

Lord Jesus, come into my heart, save me.
