  1. I want to speak briefly with us on this title.

  2. Remembered by our actions, remembered by our actions. My text

  3. is taken from the Book of Ecclesiastis, Chapter twelve Versus

  4. thirteen and fourteen. Ecclesiastis Chapter twelve, thirteen and fourteen. Ecclesiastics

  5. Chapter twelve, thirteen and fourteen. This is what the Bible says.

  6. Now all has been heard. Here is the conclusion of

  7. the matter. Fear God keep his commandments, for this is

  8. the duty of all mankind. For God bring every deed

  9. into judgment, including every hidden thing, whether it is good

  10. or even. What we do in life determines.

  11. How we will be remembered.

  12. This study of Ecclesiastes twelve thirteen and fourteen.

  13. Teaches us God's.

  14. View on our actions and their lasting impact. Can you

  15. ask yourself, people of God, this money, what will I

  16. be remembered for?

  17. Will I be remembered for? Coming? Lets to judge?

  18. You know what on the day this man was buried

  19. because of emotion, things that he did, you know will

  20. not be able to say it. All that day is

  21. also you will not be able to see it because

  22. of what emotion. But you know what God does not

  23. deal with emotion. God doesn't deal with emotion. As pure

  24. as clean as it is. How God is going to

  25. meet every one of us. I know he surrendered his

  26. life to Christ. I know he was baptized. I know

  27. it was an active service. He did all he could.

  28. He made his mistakes in his errors. But this other

  29. one I can see he has gone right. It doesn't

  30. matter what I say, but the little I know it

  31. because he.

  32. Was my younger brother. But why will we build remember bad?

  33. For weill be.

  34. Remembered as one who does not protect in the life

  35. of the church. Will you be remembered as one who

  36. is careless about his life? Will you be remembered as

  37. one who is careless about his eternity? Will you be

  38. remembered as one who does not care about the concerns

  39. of humanity? The writer of Ecclesia Sis, after reflecting on

  40. lies many, he concludes that our main purpoles is to

  41. fear God and obey him. One day, everything we have done,

  42. whether good or bad, will be judged by God. This

  43. should encourage us to live in a way that honors

  44. the Lord. From that passage, our look at two things

  45. from that passage. Number one thing you see in that

  46. passage is the duty of every person, the duty of

  47. every man that you will see in Vest.

  48. Thirteen.

  49. And what is that duty? Fear God and obey him.

  50. Fear God and obey him. What does that Fear God means?

  51. Fear God means having a deep respect for God, acknowledging

  52. is power and his holiness. That's what it means to

  53. fear God. The Bible says Improvers, Chapter nine, verse ten.

  54. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

  55. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.

  56. That Bible passage also says, Kip is commandments. This is

  57. how we show that we truly respect and love God.

  58. If you say you love God, if you say you

  59. respect God, if you say that you Christian, then you

  60. must obey his commandments.

  61. If you don't obey his commandments, then.

  62. You are not a Christian. John fourteen, verse fifteen. The

  63. Bible says, you love me, keep my commandnames. How does

  64. this apply to us? Fearing God means letting his will.

  65. For those of us that are writing, please write this

  66. one down. Fearing God means letting his will guide our thoughts,

  67. guide our words, guide our actions. That's what fearing God

  68. means meaning that the will of God is what is

  69. guiding what.

  70. You are thinking.

  71. The will of God is what is guiding what you

  72. are saying. It is the will of God that is

  73. guiding how you are behaving.

  74. So I ask you this morning, people of God.

  75. Is the will of God guiding your thoughts, the way

  76. you think and what you think?

  77. The Bible says that I said, I think.

  78. So is when you see somebody behaving the way you're behaving,

  79. that is what is in your brain?

  80. Is the way you're thinking? Is the word? Is the

  81. will of God guiding your words?

  82. What you are saying out, everything that you spill out

  83. of your mouth, is it according to the guidiance of

  84. the will of God? Your actions? How you behave is

  85. this God that is guiding it. But the thing is this,

  86. how do you know the will of God? If the

  87. will of God must guide your thoughts, if the will

  88. of God must guide your words, if you will of

  89. God must guide your action.

  90. How do you know the will of God?

  91. The will of God is not known except is the word.

  92. If you're far away from the world of God, you

  93. are far away from the will of God. And in

  94. that same verse, obey God's word gives our lives meaning

  95. and impact, both now and in eternity.

  96. So when you obey the word of God.

  97. There is meaning to your life, not just now, but

  98. even in times to come in eternity. In verse fourteen,

  99. that verse fourteen emphasizes that God judges all our actions.

  100. That's number two. God judges all our actions. The verse says,

  101. for God, we bring every deed, every deed into judgment,

  102. including every hidden thing, whether it is good or evil.

  103. God we bring it to judgment. God, we bring it

  104. to judgment.

  105. Someone once said the woman was telling a friend, that's

  106. the way of some people. The woman was telling a friend.

  107. The woman said, like, say this, your husband, y get

  108. enough for hand. We go share our more, all of

  109. us go share. But because your husband not to get

  110. for hand, I maym we know if you share? What

  111. does that mean for another woman to confront a friend

  112. and telling the friend that you see that you're that.

  113. You have in your house. Eh, that husband would have

  114. been for all of us.

  115. Like say the man gets enough codifer hand, save the

  116. man to give a cool differ hand now waited free hand.

  117. Be that.

  118. On actions will be judged by God.

  119. There is second path to this summon. So all action,

  120. all the words.

  121. Eh, that's what.

  122. We're do in the second in the second part, but

  123. let's finish this first part. When somebody comes up to

  124. tell you all of those things, and the person is

  125. a Christian, right, do you think that person's thought is

  126. guided by the will of God? For God we bring

  127. every deed into judgments, including every hidden thing, whether it

  128. is good or bad. Just think for a moment, Think

  129. for a moment, what I do. Those things that you

  130. have done, eh, those thoughts that you have had, whether

  131. it is good, whether it is bad. Everything we come out.

  132. God is not only our creator, but also our judge.

  133. Every action, whether it is seen by others or done

  134. in secret, will be judged. It will be judged. Matthew,

  135. Chapter twelve, that's thirty six. The Bible says everyone, we

  136. have to give account on the day of judgment for

  137. every empty world they have spoken, every empty word that

  138. they have spoken, they are going to give account of

  139. it for the day of judgment. What does every empty

  140. word mean? Every empty word? We do better study. That's

  141. that's the text for this part two. But look at

  142. it that every word in Greek it means I mean

  143. it says, rema are gone.

  144. What does that means? It is? It means I do

  145. I do word?

  146. Careless word, unprofitable word, or what less word? These are

  147. words that serve no good purpose, lack of sincerity or

  148. a spoken is spoken anyhow, You just open your mouth

  149. and just drop something. You don't care the impact that

  150. it's making in the life of others, empty words. What

  151. will you be remembered for? From the Bible, we have

  152. people that were remembered or that we remember them for

  153. good actions. Abel in Genesis chapter four, vers.

  154. Four.

  155. The Bible says that Abel was remembered for offering is

  156. sacrifice that policed God.

  157. All right, that's what we know a blfor it brought.

  158. Our whoffering, an offering that pleased the Lord. What kind

  159. of offering do you bring? What will you be remembered for?

  160. Joseph in Genesis chapter fifty nineteen to twenty one, Joseph

  161. was remembered for forgiving his brothers and saving many lives.

  162. And Joseph was saying, after the death of their father

  163. and your brother's again, you see, our our father said

  164. you should not be angry with us and with everything

  165. that we have done, and Joseph replied and told them

  166. you intended to hunt me, You intended to hurt me.

  167. But God intended it for good, to establish what is

  168. now being done, the saving of many lives. It was

  169. remembered for forgiving his brothers. How many of us are

  170. hear this money? That many have offended you? And you

  171. have written it in your heart, and you said yes,

  172. shading no forgiveness. I tell you it's away a ticket

  173. to alfire. Unforgiveness, it's a ticket to alfire. It's a

  174. ticket to al fire. How about those that were remembered

  175. for bad actions in the Bible? Came was one of

  176. them Genesis chapter four, bus Head. He was remembered for

  177. jealousy and mother. He mothered his brother. He mothered his brother.

  178. He was jealous, He was jealous of his brother.

  179. How about Jezebel In Second Kings chapter nine Versus thirty

  180. and thirty two seven, Jezba was remembered for leading Israel

  181. into saying and I doolecty. What will you be remembered for?

  182. What will you be remembered for? How do we apply

  183. this to our lives? Think about your daily choices. What

  184. are the decisions that you make every day. Are they

  185. plesten to God your decisions? Every day I did plesten

  186. to God. Remember that even secret actions will be judged

  187. by God.

  188. As you engage the journey of this week? Do you think.

  189. That God will be pleased by everything that you do?

  190. Number? Three things? Is this living in life that matters?

  191. How can we live in life that matters?

  192. What should we do? What should we forecaus on as

  193. children of God? What are the things that we should

  194. be pursuing as Christians? Number one is faith and obedience.

  195. The Bible says in the Book of Imprils doubterih level,

  196. verse six. Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

  197. Pursue faith, pursue obedience. Our faith should lead us to

  198. obey God and trust in Him completely all the.

  199. Days of our lives.

  200. Faith and obedience, those are the things that we should

  201. pursue in our journey. Number two is for us to

  202. pursue love and servece to others. Love and serve it

  203. to others Matthew twenty two, thirty seven to thirty nine.

  204. The Bible says, love.

  205. The Lord your God, without your heart, without your strength,

  206. with and love your neighbor as your soul. Love the Lord,

  207. your God. Love your neighbor as yourself. If you love

  208. that person, you won't plan any evil against that person.

  209. The moment you begin to think of negative things against

  210. someone else, what that means is that.

  211. You're going out of the will of God.

  212. Acts of kindness and love leave a lasting impact. Number

  213. three day of what we should continue to pursue its

  214. integrity and holiness. First Bitter, Chapter one, verse sixteen. The

  215. Bible said, the only because I am holy, the only

  216. because I am holy. We're moving towards perfection. We are

  217. not all perfect. But you know what, let us pursue

  218. that integrity and holiness. That's what the Bible is. So

  219. how do we achieve all of this in our lives

  220. as Christians today? Number one way to achieve these is

  221. daily devosion, daily devotionion, spend time in prayer and Bible study.

  222. Spend time in prayer and Bible study. Number two.

  223. Save others, show love.

  224. Through acts of kindness. Show love through acts of kindness.

  225. Number three mentor the next generation. Teach and guide the

  226. younger believers, your children, those who are not your children.

  227. Show them the way, let them know the love of Christ.

  228. Leave them a right.

  229. And that is the way that we can embrace it,

  230. this legacy. Repent regularly, that's number four. Repent regularly. Turn

  231. away from scenes that can destroy your testimony, every kind

  232. of scene that can destroy your testimony as a child

  233. of God, as a Christian, stay away from it.

  234. You know them, you know them.

  235. You know those things, and I'm sure the Holy Spirit

  236. is reminding you of them right about now. Go and

  237. bury those things before they bury you. And then, for

  238. fourth section of my message is this God's judgment and

  239. our legacy. The last part of that verse or first

  240. part of chapter verse fourteen says for God shall bring

  241. every work into judgment, whether you like it or not.

  242. God's judgment is certain.

  243. The only help that you can do for yourself is

  244. to leave a purposeful life, to live a life that

  245. brings glory to God. That's the only way you can

  246. escape this. God's judgment is certain. Second Corinthians, chapter five,

  247. verse ten, the Bible says, for we must all appear

  248. before the judgment's seat of Christ. It doesn't matter what

  249. you think you're going to appear there. You don't need

  250. to consider yourself or bother yourself about those who are

  251. not even Christian at all. There are only two opportunities

  252. for every human being to meet with Jesus. Either they

  253. meet within as the lamp that was crucified on the

  254. cross of cavalry, meeting as the judge of all humanity?

  255. How do you want to meet this God?

  256. For those who follow Christ, judgment is not a condemnation,

  257. but a review of our faithfulness those who have surrendered

  258. their lives to Christ. Judgment is not that God is

  259. going to condemn them, no, but God is just going

  260. to show them and tell them how faithful they have

  261. been while they were here. Revelation chapter fourteen, Vest thirteen,

  262. the Bible says, blessed as the dead who die in

  263. the Lord, Why their.

  264. Deeds follow them? Amen? Amen.

  265. Listen to that passage again. Revelation fourteen thirteen. Blessed at

  266. the dead who die in the Lord, their deeds follow them.

  267. Let me say this again. I've been saying it. When

  268. this man died, I received a lot of call and

  269. everybody will save me soul rest in perfect peace. And

  270. my response is thank you. I didn't say amen, because

  271. that is not a prayer. That prayer is not the

  272. will of God. It is borne out of emotion. Look

  273. at what the Bible says, blessed I did dead who

  274. die in the Lord.

  275. M hm.

  276. Let's take it to twists around those who did not

  277. die in the Lord I did blessed, they're not blessed.

  278. Now those who die in the Lord, they're blessed. Why

  279. because they are deeds did actuals our behavior? Our attitude,

  280. h we follow after you, and when you get there.

  281. Jesus was saying to those by his rights, I was sick,

  282. you came to visit.

  283. I was in prison, You came to visit. I was hungry.

  284. You feed me. I was thirsty. You give me water.

  285. And then as the question, Lord, when did we see you?

  286. And we attend to you, saying, as much as you

  287. have done it to any of these little ones, you

  288. have done it to me and for the gods who

  289. are by the left. May you not be got in

  290. Jesus name. You know the fearful thing is that among

  291. the disciples of Jesus, as Jesus was teaching all of these.

  292. Things, there was a Judas I know.

  293. The cry of my every day as I pray for

  294. Shilo Baptist Church, is that Lord, I pray that every

  295. member of Shilo Baptist Church, as they hear me.

  296. It's not sif they're not hearing. They're hearing.

  297. But you see as you are hearing, and there is

  298. no repentance, there is no turn around with you. On

  299. the day of judgment, it's going to wait for you.

  300. He's going to wait for you. Jesus told us by

  301. his left I was in prison, you didn't come.

  302. I was hungry. You didn't feed me. I was thirsty.

  303. You didn't give me water to drink. And I said,

  304. when did we see you? And we didn't do this. Oh,

  305. you're thinking you're going to see Jesus physically. No no, no, no,

  306. you're not going to see in physically. But he said,

  307. in as smuch as you have done it to any

  308. of these.

  309. Your action.

  310. Part of our vision as a church is that we

  311. develop a personal, authentic faith, all right, that pro this

  312. is what go deed, that produces good deeds.

  313. That kind of fact.

  314. That's what we're talking about, because on the day of judgment,

  315. your faith and your action will stand for you. What

  316. are you going to show when you get to that place.

  317. So when you say to somebody, ah, sorry, I may

  318. so resting perfect peace, supposing that person has not been

  319. a Christian. Number one the person has not behaved well,

  320. or the person has been one of us. He has

  321. been coming to Shillobatis churge, and all of us thought

  322. that he's a Christian, she's a Christian.

  323. Ah this listen. You see.

  324. The point is that because as far as I'm concerned

  325. as a pastor, and will bring the body here and

  326. will bury the body, you understand. But when it gets

  327. to God, God, we say, don't worry. My son does

  328. not have the ability to see beyond earth, all right,

  329. So you know he has tried his best. And that's

  330. when somebody die and say, come my gift testimony. Everybody

  331. was stand there. Ah, it was nice, but right in

  332. your heart, you know that person was holding you. It

  333. was nice, he was beautiful, It was this, It was that.

  334. But what was that other thing in your heart? That

  335. person slapped you the other day? And you have not

  336. forgiven the person, and yet you're saying the person was nice?

  337. Our did? Our did? It is not the prayers lay.

  338. In other religions, all right, other religions we pray, my

  339. God rest their soul.

  340. It is soul.

  341. Has surrendered itself to Jesus Christ, then that soul we rest.

  342. But I can tell you yes, that's so. We rest

  343. somewhere When I never or hearth fire, it will be somewhere.

  344. But where is You're also going to be? What will

  345. you be remembered? For? As I conclude, blessed are the

  346. dead who die in the Lord, Their dates follow them.

  347. How will you be remembered? Is the question of today.

  348. Life's purpose is to fear God, orbear him, and leave,

  349. knowing that He will judge all who Are our actions?

  350. Our den choices determine our legacy and how we will

  351. be remembered, both on earth and in eternity. Are your

  352. actions drawing others closer to God? Or pushing them away?

  353. Is your attitude not the one that when people hear? Is?

  354. If this one a Christian me and become Christian? It

  355. means that you have become someone who blows people from

  356. coming to the Lord.

  357. I tell you what.

  358. There is serious punishment for those who do that. How

  359. can you live in a way that places God and

  360. leaves a good legacy? The challenge this money is this.

  361. Make a personal decision today to fear God and obey

  362. his word. Take practical steps to ensure your actions glorify

  363. God and bless others.

  364. Remember, life is too short. Life is too short.

  365. But you know what, as short as life may be,

  366. our actions have eternal impact. Life is short, but our life,

  367. our actions have eternal impact. People of God, what would

  368. be said above you on that to day? What is

  369. your contribution to Shiloh Baptist Church? What is your contribution

  370. to Shiloh Baptist Church?

  371. Sunday?

  372. Sunday tonic, You disappear, nobody knows anything about you. Then

  373. later on you come, you complain, Oh, there's no love

  374. in this church, the church that does not know anything

  375. about you. There is our fellowship. You are never there.

  376. There's worship that you are never there. There's MMU, you

  377. are not there.

  378. WMU.

  379. They don't know anything about you. Youth, you are not

  380. even functional.

  381. Yet you want the people of God to know that you?

  382. Is this a Britens life of pretense is against the

  383. will of God?

  384. Can we make a turn around? Today? Twenty twenty five

  385. is just beginning, and I'm sure.

  386. Just early this year, just daily two weeks right, there

  387. was somebody that's you know, related to the to the

  388. man of mass. The person was traveling to one pick

  389. up people from the east and just at somewhere around

  390. on the way to look at your dad. The person

  391. didn't get there if they could, had accidents, and I

  392. think it was the only one who died. And then

  393. some of us are here and we're thinking that there

  394. is there are greater things ahead. This young man had

  395. a lot of plans here. We had some plans together.

  396. We had some plan together. It was also traveling, and

  397. the accident boom, and that was all. No room, no room,

  398. people of God, no room to make a change. There's

  399. going to be that time if you're waiting for a

  400. time that you are going to be sick, and then

  401. that time you'll be able to organize yourself. That time

  402. may never be there. It may never be there. That

  403. accident happens, and that is all. And they touch that life,

  404. and that life that was talking and talking and talking

  405. suddenly as tone lifeless.

  406. What happened.

  407. The end has come. Jesus had come for him. When

  408. with Jesus come for you. It can be tonight.

  409. Only remembered, only remembered, only remember bad by what we

  410. have done.

  411. That is all that anyone we think of you, only

  412. by what you have done, whether good or evil. I

  413. want to give room to some people this money, people

  414. who are considering I've not come to make you afraid,

  415. all right, and I've not come to make you sorrow.

  416. But if it is to make you sorrow, let it

  417. be a godly sorrow. And the Bible say, godly sorrow

  418. does what leads to repentance, but godly sorrow leads to destruction.

  419. It makes you more stubborn things of God. We're going

  420. to be taking that song again. We're going to be

  421. taking that song again. And as we take that song,

  422. I want you to reflect over your life.
