  1. There is something that God has kept inside of you.

  2. It is said that today the richest place on earth

  3. is the graveyard.

  4. True or true true, the richest place on earth.

  5. It's not done this place, but the cemetery where ideas

  6. that should have made our world to be better, Where

  7. ideas that should have led to progress, Where ideas I've

  8. been buried, ideas that never saw the light of day.

  9. And that's why I'm praying this morning that for you

  10. and for me we will die empty in Jesus' name.

  11. Somebody does not understand this.

  12. This is it.

  13. Where God was creating you. It kept ideas inside of you.

  14. And the ideas that God has kept inside of you

  15. is on hundred percent. Do you know that many of

  16. us die we leave this world without using any of

  17. these ideas, and some of us that even't try to

  18. use it, some of us that try to use it.

  19. Maybe what we have used is five percent of the ideas.

  20. Even though the person has grown as old as mental cellar,

  21. but he has only used five of the ideas that

  22. God has given the person. May we die empty in

  23. the name of Jesus. I will not die full, and

  24. we die empty in the name of Jesus. Because on

  25. the last day God, you want to get before God,

  26. and God will just look at you and you will

  27. see that you are empty because why you have been

  28. able to use all the ideas that God has given

  29. to you to benefit humanity. The question is what are

  30. you doing where you are? May God help us in

  31. Jesus' name. Now, before I bring the message this morning,

  32. all fathers, all fathers that are not in Father's uniform, eh,

  33. I want to plead with you. Your responsibility begins from

  34. that place. It is not wrong for you to buy

  35. something for yourself. And I will begin from m chairman.

  36. I would have told you to work out and go

  37. back home. You should have come the white one that

  38. you brought the needed Father's Day emphasis like this man came.

  39. That's that's better.

  40. Forgive me. Sorry.

  41. I don't mean to hurt you, but I think that

  42. responsibility from that place. Responsibility begins from that place. And

  43. I know things. All fingers are not equal years, but

  44. it takes years. Some of us are just using the

  45. top a loom. That makes sense, mister Patrick. Since I

  46. came to this church, you have been in MM. You're

  47. not new to M You. I can forgive people like

  48. Souleyman because they are new the air, new fathers, Baracoury,

  49. do something about it. And the Lord we all know

  50. you in Jesus' name. That's where responsibility begins.

  51. Movie.

  52. So who are you angry? Smile now, Jesus loves you.

  53. Don't be angry. That's what father is supposed to do.

  54. Mister came up. Don't wear our uniform on Father's Day,

  55. your father, even though you're there, cancel. This is not

  56. our race celebration. It is Father's Day. You are forgiven.

  57. Please next year, I expect all fathers to come, either

  58. this one or the one by back is wearing. In fact,

  59. they say fathers, the spirit I used to enter inside

  60. women as enter fathers. Now they say they want to

  61. do another one for father and as the Lord will

  62. save us for our mothers. You know all of them,

  63. they have plenty. If you ask some of them now

  64. to continue to wear all these chevy all this video

  65. doing for the wm U for conference for association for

  66. a centenary for this one, I'm sure some of them

  67. they have special bags for it.

  68. My wife has special bag for it.

  69. One of our mothers said that she has a complete

  70. world group like this for all those women attire that

  71. if for one one mon they said she should just

  72. be wearing different women group attire enough and you will

  73. not change to any other one except for all those

  74. kinds of clothes.

  75. Amen.

  76. But now the thing is entering into men too. Men,

  77. you're broken, fring Jesus name alja. I want to thank

  78. the Lord for safety on the journey. I had to

  79. make journey to bury my grandmother just this past week,

  80. and the journey was a complete day journey. And I

  81. was sharing before the service began, how many of us

  82. have been to Ilila before? You know a place in

  83. Angela called Ilila. Ah ooh, it's serious and you have

  84. been Naia, you've not been to Ilila before. It is

  85. actually in Socoto States. How many of us have been

  86. there or you ahead of it? Ah, that's serious even

  87. though you have been some of it. Josey and I

  88. we are from the north. We speak al sade. Listen,

  89. you've not even been to that place before. We have

  90. been there, Amen.

  91. So I'm more Nanjerlian than you.

  92. Eh, Elaila is okay about a movie? Adamar okay? Yes, sir,

  93. whelse okay, mommy okay, sir okay. So that's about fifteen

  94. You know from movie you have about fifteen minutes drive

  95. or so to Cameroon. Yes, Elela. It's also a border

  96. town to Nijer Republic.

  97. Yeah.

  98. My my town that I went to is another border town.

  99. Two been a republic. So you see all of this,

  100. brother town. If you begin your journey the money, God

  101. save you, that you get there the same day or

  102. else you get there the following day. That was the

  103. kind of journey that I went to. Well, glory to God.

  104. Here we are. We're back, and the Lad's name be glorified.

  105. In Jesus' name, Father, we ask that you will speak

  106. to us as we challenge ourselves as men, as fathers,

  107. Holy Spirit, let your word come alive in the best

  108. way that we will understand. In Jesus mighty name, we

  109. pray responsible men, responsible men. Thank you Father for that presentation.

  110. And in that presentation they said, a responsible man is

  111. a man that is a prophet, a prophet that speaks

  112. the word of God, speaks the word of truth to

  113. the family.

  114. That's where it begins from.

  115. Fathers, how many of you led devotion in your houses

  116. this morning.

  117. Thank you sir, Thank you mister Harry, thank you Dad. Mama.

  118. Yes, fathers, our fathers. Please look at me, Look at me,

  119. look at me. Don't write yet, don't write. How many

  120. of you led devotion in your houses this morning? Thank you, sir?

  121. So three of all of these fathers. Yet mister fann Shaques,

  122. what happened? No? No, no, no, you see the reason

  123. why I'm doing this is it is easier said than

  124. don't we have responsible But if we cannot confront matters,

  125. we are just going to talk and they will leave.

  126. Mister Soho, you didn't lead devotion of this money in

  127. your house. No, it's not right. Mister James, you didn't

  128. lead devotion this money in the house. Why, sir, that

  129. is not right. That is John, you didn't lead devotion

  130. this money in your house. It is not good.

  131. It has to change.

  132. We are saying that responsible men are men that are prophets,

  133. and the second speaker said, responsible men are men that

  134. are priests, men who will stand in the gap, men

  135. who we sacrifice.

  136. Are we actually such men? It is not just a

  137. tie to.

  138. Even chairman did not lead devotion in his house this morning,

  139. and we are saying.

  140. This are not working. How will they work? Because we

  141. have men?

  142. Should I say men that are not responsible, because that's

  143. what you have told us this morning.

  144. Is that not mother's youth? Is that what they have

  145. told us?

  146. They say fathers or responsible men and men that are prophets,

  147. men that are priests.

  148. And that is the function. That's where it starts from.

  149. So when we.

  150. Fail in our responsibilities, what is what exactly are we

  151. trying to preach?

  152. You cannot tell what you are not under the games.

  153. In his own word, he said, responsible men are patriarchs.

  154. And who are patriarchs?

  155. Patriarchs are family aids, their leaders, their examples, fathers in

  156. the house. Are we truly examples at home? Can I

  157. call one of our children and say write ten things

  158. about your father and the man or the young person

  159. who say, yes, indeed, my father is actually a responsible man.

  160. Let's drive you home, eh, Let's bring it home. And

  161. mister Patrick said that a responsible man is a man

  162. that provides a provider. A provider. It is not just

  163. providing money. You know, part of your assignment is to

  164. also be available. Many of us are too occupied hearing

  165. the money you get out before you come back. Your

  166. children are about to sleep, and you say you are

  167. a responsible man, No, you are not you don't need

  168. your children in the way of the Lord. Listen this interpretation.

  169. I think somebody brought it also to my wife.

  170. I know.

  171. The Bible says, train up a child in the way

  172. issue go, and when issue, when is old, what will happen?

  173. It will not depart from it. But you see, we

  174. have turned the Bible upside down. The Bible is talking

  175. about child children. Many of us are not right examples

  176. to our children. Then when they are old, when they

  177. have become adults, that's when you want to teach. Is

  178. that what the Bible says. They are already formed. You

  179. can't teach them again. Our responsibility begins from the beginning.

  180. It is not until when the children are old. Are

  181. we through patriarchs? Are we true priests? Are we true prophets?

  182. Are we true providers in our homes? There are three

  183. verses of the scriptures, First and Monthly Chapter five, verse eight,

  184. Ephicients chapter six, verse four, Colossians Chapter three, verse nineteen.

  185. I'll just pick a few things from this and then

  186. we close. So if somebody is sleeping, tab the person,

  187. let us hear from God. Don't sleep.

  188. You know.

  189. That's why when we come for prayer, vigil I don't

  190. like praise singing to confirst. It's better we pray before

  191. we start singing praise when people are feeling sleepy. Then

  192. you start singing praise, then we wake up. The men

  193. have led us to pray, to pray, me to sing

  194. this money. And after we are finished singing, now we

  195. are set to down. What do you think we begin

  196. apple when the world of God is coming, you start sleeping.

  197. So don't sleep in our world today many men have

  198. abandoned their god giving rules.

  199. Is that true or not very true?

  200. They are priests, their prophets, their providers, and your patriarchs.

  201. These are their rules, but they have abandoned these rules.

  202. Some neglect their families. Others will provoke their children or

  203. mistreat their wives. The Bible provides clear guidance for men

  204. regarding their responsibilities, particularly in family relationships. And so those

  205. three verses that mister Patrick read to earlier on first

  206. Remote chapter five, vers eight, efficiency after verse four Colossians

  207. Chapter three, verse nineteen, we you know, give us fundamental principles,

  208. principles of our fathers. We take up their responsibilities at all.

  209. Let's go to the first one. The first one is

  210. the provider's hearts first motive verse five, verse five, US eight.

  211. The provider's heart. That is the first responsibility of a man.

  212. Look at what the Bible says, First Timothy, chapter five,

  213. US eight. But if anyone does not provide for his

  214. relatives or his family, okay.

  215. And especially for members of his household, he says, that

  216. person has denied faith and is worse than an unbeliever, infidel,

  217. an unbeliever, that's what infidel is worse than unbeliever.

  218. Because if you say you are a Christian.

  219. And you can provide for your family, then you'd better

  220. never be called a believer.

  221. What Adverse is saying is this.

  222. That this major responsibility of men, one of his is

  223. as heads of household, which is patriarx. So the word

  224. provide that the Bible renders in that place. In Greek,

  225. it is proneo proneo. What does that mean? It means

  226. to think ahead, It means to plan. It means to

  227. take care of needs before they become urgent. So a

  228. family head, a father who is to be a provider

  229. must be a man responsible enough to think ahead of

  230. what is likely going to app must be a man

  231. that is ready to plan ahead, must be a man

  232. that will be ready to take care of needs.

  233. Before they begin.

  234. They begin to take place, so that you don't begin

  235. to run around and say, oh, it is urgent.

  236. It is urgent.

  237. And this includes more than just financial support. It is

  238. not just money alone that the Bible is talking about here.

  239. What are the biblical provision that the Bible is talking

  240. about here? Physical needs like food, like shelter, like clothing,

  241. like health health care. Okay, it is the responsibility of

  242. the father fathers are in trouble. Alleluyer, father's wake up.

  243. Another one is emotional security. They mentioned it for us

  244. as we're talking the other time. You create and enabling

  245. environments and loving environment and environment where you fathers, fathers,

  246. fathers or she Loo Baptist change. When last did you

  247. have some meeting with your children? All of it your

  248. decide to sit down? When as did you watch TV

  249. with your children? Even we have not been doing that well,

  250. as did you watch TV with your children.

  251. Fathers?

  252. I mean you just decided that today we just go

  253. back home. Everybody will just sit down and your friend

  254. will come. You say, no, I have personal time with

  255. my family. How many of us are doing that?

  256. Eh? We don't do it. Oh babaku does it? Okay,

  257. very good.

  258. Okay, So that's the first ass I meant today. No

  259. father is going out today your special gifts on this

  260. Father's Day. Once we finished service, go home and sit

  261. with your family. As a matter of fact, your wife

  262. is supposed to cook. And as your wife is cookie,

  263. I know those who are closed by here, so I

  264. can come to your house. I want to see all

  265. of you in the kitchen with your wife today. Yes, amen,

  266. even if your wife is not around. Hey, even if

  267. your wife is not around, Rather than cookie, rise today,

  268. do swallow if your wife is not around. Mister Piles,

  269. I know my dam is not around. So today go man, cook,

  270. don't go to eat outside. Eh, you're not a bachelor,

  271. you're a married man. MMU President, missus, missus, m mu President.

  272. He must join you in the kitchen. Only two of

  273. you must cook. This have to noon meal. Thank you

  274. very much. I will ask you if that is not done,

  275. just give me a called.

  276. Flash me.

  277. No going out, don't go out today. Where's the Gideon?

  278. Where's Gideon? Where are you?

  279. And you are the one that will report whatever has

  280. happened in the house. Amen. Amen, let's begin to take

  281. this responsibility.

  282. Mister James of Carasana, you're not babbing today, Abby and

  283. missus James in the kitchen, two of you.

  284. Amen.

  285. The father also has the responsibility of spiritual leadership. I've

  286. said this one, so don't let me repeat myself again.

  287. If you're not doing family devotion, you are part of

  288. the problem of our society.

  289. Is that true or not?

  290. If you like say it, you're part of the problem

  291. in our society. You're a bad example. If you say

  292. you are a Christian and in your house there is

  293. no family altar. You're not irresponsible, man, No, you're not.

  294. You're not.

  295. And we meet, especially with our mothers. So I'm going

  296. to see whether there's going to be a change in

  297. the next couple of weeks.

  298. Change.

  299. Future planning is another provision that is expected of us

  300. as father. Let's look at second one, the father's calling

  301. in Ephicients, chapter six, verse four. The father's calling in

  302. that passage, there's a special calling of the father.

  303. The Bible says, fathers, do not provoke.

  304. Do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them

  305. up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.

  306. It is simple.

  307. Don't provoke them to anger. What this passage is saying,

  308. is this it reveals very delicate balance that is required

  309. in a biblical fatherhood. Paul gives birth a prohibition, meaning

  310. that what a father should not to do. He says,

  311. don't provoke them. In my version, he says, exaspirates beg English,

  312. but no vex them.

  313. No vex your children.

  314. The word provoked in the Greek rendition is parorogiso, which

  315. means to arousph to rap or exaspirates.

  316. What does that mean?

  317. Don't frustrate your children, don't annoy your children, don't irritate

  318. your children. Don't make your children to be angry. How

  319. many of us have made our children to be angry?

  320. They've not done something, but you accuse them of doing it.

  321. How do fathers provoke their children by being harsh and

  322. making all reasonable demands? Can I give you one of

  323. your reasonable demands? While I was growing up, every father,

  324. there is no house where a father has snogged or

  325. the father they always getting first position. When they went

  326. primary and secondary school, All of them weren't check any

  327. house The father would sit down. When I was young,

  328. like you, I used to take first position. And you

  329. now wonder upon all the children when their school, so

  330. all of them they gets first position. So they when

  331. I say you too, you must get first position. Very

  332. unreasonable demand. I'm for you to see that and helped

  333. his children. You won't be there yet, you say. When

  334. I was young like you, I used to take false position.

  335. In fact, my children know me. I didn't take false position.

  336. It was only one time that my father because my

  337. father used to stay in Abuja Yea and we were

  338. in our village that we went to and that year

  339. my father took his leave and he came home and

  340. it was we're preparing for example, and it sat with

  341. me and helped me. That was the only time in

  342. my primary school that I got taught position. And we

  343. were even three of us in the class that God

  344. is taught position three people and I was one of them.

  345. After that time, back to start to school, I didn't

  346. discover myself. Those in younger an exceptional didn't know my story.

  347. I didn't discover myself until after secondary school. But many times,

  348. many of us as fathers, we paint a picture that ah,

  349. when I was like you me, I used to me.

  350. I used to okay, sure us are you used to

  351. May God forgive fathers in Jesus name. Do you know

  352. how we make our children angry? Inconsistent discipline, all favoritism.

  353. Somebody lied, you disciplined this song and this one lies.

  354. You said, it's okay. You know you don't have to

  355. do that. Don't do it that way. Favoritism in the house,

  356. then that one with Vegs and what happened between n

  357. and Ebel. We start you start creating it in your family.

  358. You start creating it in your family.

  359. Ah.

  360. But when you crush their spirits with constant criticism, you

  361. this child, I don't even know where your mother brings

  362. you from. Sef You're just good for nothing child. I'm

  363. not even sure you're my son because you don't behave.

  364. Like me.

  365. Criticism. We make these children angry in this way part

  366. of the training that the Bible enjoins us. In fact,

  367. speare the road. What happens you spoil the child me.

  368. I don't beat children, but my wife used to beat

  369. children very well. But when it is time for me

  370. to beat I have special cubocle that used to beat them.

  371. But before I do that, what many fathers do is

  372. that they beat the children. And you won't tell them

  373. the reason why you're beating them. Well, first of us,

  374. sit down when we explain, this is what you did.

  375. Eh.

  376. And one of my children did something like that. I

  377. went out with my wife to do some visitation, and

  378. as soon as we came back, the tab that they

  379. use for their online class, he was using it to

  380. play game.

  381. Eh.

  382. No matter how much you have new clothes, young people,

  383. you can never have old clothes rags like fathers or

  384. like older people. What does that mean? I'm not talking

  385. in this physical thing. And when we go to the house,

  386. he went inside the room and he was coming from

  387. inside the room, and I said, what happened? This was

  388. my wife that first asked him. Said he was just

  389. coming from inside the room. I say, you have done

  390. something wrong. What were you doing? You were supposed to

  391. be ready. The others have slept, only you just your

  392. year to sleep. Say I'm not doing anything. You were

  393. playing with this tab. Say no, and I carried the tab.

  394. My wife carried the tub and felt the tab. When

  395. you have using your phone, we lead you warm or

  396. not it would be warm. He said, no, that's okay.

  397. So I check all the logs everything way don't they do?

  398. You don't clear everything come out as a good. I

  399. love that very smart. I love that smartness. I said

  400. number one, you lied. Eh he has not said he

  401. did it. Say you lied, And the only reason why

  402. I'm going to flog you today is because you're lied,

  403. not because of anything. I'm not angry with you because

  404. you use this tab. It's okay if you use it,

  405. but simply tell me, yes, I use it. What were

  406. you using it for? To play a game? Okay, fine,

  407. don't do it again. I don't like that. Use it

  408. to study. Simple and we may just overlooked it and go.

  409. But for the next thirty minutes instead did not confess.

  410. But somehow, on my own phone, I have set it

  411. so I can monitor what is done on that tab.

  412. So I opened my phone and I showed him everything

  413. he had done with time, because it will show time

  414. on my own.

  415. And then finish. Nothing more to do.

  416. I say, so, because you have lied, it is time

  417. to display. While I encourage discipline, but let us tell

  418. them the reason why we are disciplining them. I didn't

  419. want to discipline him, but you see, our society is

  420. full of bad people because parents and fathers especially, we

  421. have failed in our capacity.

  422. We want to train adults rather.

  423. Than training children, when we fail to explain the reason

  424. why we are disciplining them.

  425. When we don't set where we set impossible standards, eh

  426. or being hypocritical.

  427. You yourself, you are not doing the thing, but you want

  428. your children.

  429. To do it.

  430. No, that is not right, that is not right. Number three,

  431. the husband's love. That's what you see in Collusions chapter three,

  432. verse nineteen. The husband's love. The Bible says in that passage, husbands,

  433. love your wives and do not be hush with them.

  434. And this command is side by side what we see

  435. in Efphicients chapter five, twenty five to thirty three. It

  436. defines the husband's primary responsibility towards his wife, which is

  437. love alghab power love and that means to sacrifice, to

  438. be selfless. And that is the kind of love that

  439. Christ as In actually shows to the church. What does

  440. that can of love look like? It is Number one sacrificial.

  441. That is, you put the needs of your wife before

  442. your own comfort. Father, forgive us, Father made in Jesus name,

  443. saying man, now, Father, forgive men in Jesus name, because

  444. we have.

  445. Not been sacrificial enough by African tradition.

  446. You go carried out woman from your Papa house, you

  447. bring then your house. You know, the first thing that

  448. you do by the child, by that woman coming to

  449. your house is to remove the father's name, the father

  450. that we don't pay all the money from beginning to

  451. the tire where you go carrier, your commodifather name. See

  452. now from today, you're going to start there in my name.

  453. Yet you're not sacrificial. You're not protective. You're not guiding

  454. her physically, you're not guiding her emotionally. You're not guiding

  455. us spiritually. Fathers, this is what God's world is explaining

  456. to us. I'm not saying that I'm perfect to I'm

  457. not perfect in this. I am not because the Bible

  458. says that the world of God is a double edged sword,

  459. double edge.

  460. Two sides.

  461. So when you go like this, you're telling people when

  462. you come like this is pointing to you too. But

  463. look at this. We have to be protective of our wives.

  464. We have to cherish them. That is what the love

  465. looks like. We have to cherish them. We have to

  466. value and treasure them as pressures gift. Do we actually

  467. do that? When we don't do that, we are not responsible.

  468. Men seven looking for ways to bless and support our daily.

  469. That's why I say, men today you have to go

  470. to the kitchen. If your wife is not around, you yourself,

  471. go to the kitchen, cook for children. Amen a man.

  472. So father's not going out to this afternoon, stay at home.

  473. Let him feel you. Are you faithful to your wife,

  474. maintaining exclusive devotion and commitments. This is what the Bible

  475. is expecting of us. May the Lord help us in

  476. the martin name of Jesus. I just want to pick

  477. those three things. Just challenge us today as fathers. Be

  478. a responsible man, a man that is a priest, a

  479. man that is a prophet, a man that is a

  480. patriarch in the family, a man that is a provider. Father,

  481. where we have failed you as men, were, ask that

  482. you will forgive us. In Jesus' name, Lord, we seek

  483. your face, that you will make our lives better from

  484. today onward. In the name of Jesus, we pray that

  485. your grace beyond measure, you will shower upon our father's

  486. in the mighty name of Jesus, Thank you, Holy Spirit.

  487. Let's deced of word germinate and bear much fruit in

  488. the life.

  489. Of our father's. In Jesus' name, we pray,
