  1. So in the past three Sundays ago or so or

  2. four Sundays ago we started the series and we used

  3. two Sundays and then three Sundays ago. There were some

  4. issues that last Sunday we had to trash all of

  5. those issues out and with thank God for moving us forward.

  6. So let's continue with this today. We want to look

  7. at the heart of the giver, the heart of the Giver,

  8. and we'll be looking at Second Corinthians chapter ninety six

  9. to eight and then Mark twelve forty one to forty four.

  10. So those are the two texts that we're going to

  11. be looking at looking at And I wrote down there

  12. this is not from me, but one of my Augusts.

  13. While I was in school.

  14. He used to tell us that the heart of the

  15. matter is a matter of the heart. The heart of

  16. the matter is matter of the heart. Can you say

  17. to somebody by your side, the heart of the matter

  18. is a matter of the heart.

  19. All right?

  20. It sounds like what the more people call tautology, but

  21. it's not really tautology. There's a lot of things that

  22. are you know, they're inside that that's understanding. So this morning,

  23. imagine that two people walk into the church and then

  24. someone came, you know, with his barbaria ga and then

  25. come in and he has come to give as we

  26. you know, ten thousand ira and he shows it to

  27. everybody and he dropped his money. But there's another woman

  28. who has decided to just come and with a five

  29. hundred nira and just came and just drop Think about it.

  30. Who among these two do you think God is going

  31. to receive that offering from? Just think a moment. Who

  32. do you think God is going to receive that from God?

  33. What is God's value? It is the heart, not the amount.

  34. It is the heart not the amount. What you see

  35. with the first giver is somebody that is coming with

  36. that notice me attitude, with that attitude of pride and arrogance,

  37. that hey, I want to give big thing. But the

  38. other person came with that humility and gave sincerely to

  39. God out of the little she has. So we have

  40. said when we started this series that all we have

  41. is from God. Nothing comes from us. If God had

  42. not given us what we have, we cannot say it

  43. belongs to us in the first place. And that's what

  44. we have established in the last session that we did.

  45. So today our focus is on why and how we

  46. are to give, how and why we are to give,

  47. and that's what we want to look at in the Bible.

  48. So we'll be looking at that first concience, and the

  49. Book of Mark chapter twelve will be considering what God

  50. has to give to us from those two texts. So

  51. the first thing I want us to know in this

  52. today is that God wants cheerful and willing give us.

  53. Can we say it? God wants cheerful and willing give us.

  54. That's all God wants. That's what God wants. And let's

  55. see it from the Bible. Second Corinthians, chapter nine, six

  56. to seven. Second Corinthians, chapter nine, six to seven. Let's

  57. see what the Bible says. Remember this, whoever sows sparingly

  58. will also reap sparingly. And whoever sows generously, we also

  59. reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided.

  60. In your heart.

  61. Not reluctantly or under compulsion. For God loves a cheerful giver.

  62. So what is the Bible telling us? Look at it again?

  63. And in fact, Paul is beginning with remember this, meaning

  64. that keep this to mind, don't forget it.

  65. So she looked Baptist Church. This is instruction.

  66. From a servant of God saying, remember this, keep this

  67. one to heart. And he says, whoever, and I like

  68. this because Paul is trying to give us disunderstanding from

  69. farming or agricultural in a setting, who havever sols sparingly?

  70. What does it mean to so sparingly?

  71. Eh? What does feel? Feel?

  72. Feel? In other words, you don't expect someone who has sown,

  73. who has sown corn in this entire church auditorium like this,

  74. uses this place to sow con and then someone who

  75. just decides to sown between displaced and displace, you don't

  76. expect them to get the same harvest at the end

  77. of the day.

  78. Is not so? And that's what the Bible is trying

  79. to us understand that.

  80. Whoever sows sparingly sows feel that person we also reap

  81. feel Why, because whatsoever a man saws, what will happen?

  82. That is what the person we reap. It is the

  83. size that you are going to reap. It is it is,

  84. It is not something more than that. But it also says,

  85. whoever sows generously generously having to sew more. Whoever does

  86. it in a better way, we also reap out generously.

  87. So it is not possible for you to sew sparingly

  88. and then you reap generously. It's not possible. So again

  89. the Bible says, hah, look at this, he says, each

  90. of you, eh, each one of us, as we are

  91. seated here today. The Bible says, you should give what

  92. you have decided where.

  93. Where, what you have decided in your hearts.

  94. It is not what somebody told you to give. It

  95. is what you you have decided in your heart. That

  96. is what God is saying that you give.

  97. And it's saying it not reluctantly.

  98. Reluctantly is when go and give, no give no july No,

  99. I won't, I will I won't.

  100. No, it's not.

  101. Reluctantly, but it's saying that's not under compulsion, not that

  102. they force you to come and give. Excuse me, have

  103. we been fulfilling this part of the Bible in the church.

  104. Mhm?

  105. Have we been fulfilling it in the church. That's exactly

  106. what the Bible is saying. The Bible is not looking

  107. for people that are forced to come and give or free. No,

  108. if you are willing and obedient, as I says, you

  109. will eat the fruit of the land. I tell us again,

  110. you see the Bible. The Christian life is a life

  111. of obedience. It's not about what you think. I've gone

  112. for some programs and in that program they were expecting

  113. people to come and give to support the program. It

  114. is not a church program. And they will call in

  115. fact children program parents are there too, and they will say,

  116. add this person. They've called them to come and do

  117. this beauty pageant that they do, and all the children

  118. would dress, and then they will come and do. They

  119. will come and do, and then when they will go back,

  120. and then all of them like that. Then they lined

  121. up all the children and then they say parents should

  122. start pay. So excuse me, So whatever whoever gives the

  123. most is the winner. Excuse me? You said we should

  124. do beauty pageants contests?

  125. Is that not?

  126. So?

  127. Isn't not based on who dresses fine abbi, who has

  128. had worked fine abby, who is looking better? That should

  129. win the race? You're not turning it around. You say

  130. it is the child that will win, is the one

  131. that the parents. So they will put something in front

  132. like this, so they will count all the morning. I say,

  133. where are we going? And you know what, that's what

  134. they want us to bring into the church, so that

  135. I'll bring the Coward family. I'll bring the Lass family.

  136. I'll bring the Bannerber's family. I'll bring the man On

  137. the family. And I say all of them today, these

  138. are the people who we give in the church. So

  139. whoever is able to motivate church members to give them more,

  140. these are.

  141. The people that have given more to the Lord.

  142. Come is shout allelujah, and then word shout allelujah.

  143. And that is.

  144. But look at what the Bible is saying.

  145. It is what you have decided in your heart, not

  146. because they forced you.

  147. Not reluctantly. So reluctantly is something that is from you.

  148. Compersion is something that all the other people are telling you.

  149. Go now, go now. No.

  150. I don't want to know, no why Because God lost

  151. a cheerful giver. God lost a cheerful giver. What are

  152. the points there for us? God is like I mean giving,

  153. It's like planting seeds. You get what your plants. You

  154. get what your plant. That's giving. That's giving. Number two me.

  155. You see in that text, God is not seeing anyone.

  156. No.

  157. When we're looking at the Book of Some fifty, the

  158. Bible says in that passage that the cutus on a

  159. thousand ears who owns them, God honds them, God holds them.

  160. And the Bible says some twenty four the earth.

  161. Is the Lord's and the fullness thereof. So if God

  162. holds everything, he wants us to give out willingly and cheerfully,

  163. not grudgingly or under or out of pressure. No, God

  164. doesn't want you to give in that way. Be free,

  165. be willing to give. And that why the heart of

  166. the matter is the matter of the heart. It's about

  167. the heart. Again, we see in that text that if

  168. you give because someone is watching or because you are

  169. afraid of a pastor's words, that is not cheerfulgiving. Eh,

  170. that's not cheerfulgiving. And it's not just about offering alone.

  171. If Jesus was saying that when you are giving, don't

  172. let the left hand know where the right hand is given,

  173. what does that mean? It's not the physical hand in

  174. this case, Jesus is just trying to give a figurative

  175. expression that don't let someone by your side know what

  176. you are giving. Give all right, let's summarize it. An example.

  177. Some people give during church programs or public events just

  178. to be praised. And that's why when you go for

  179. the Oan bears, how many of us who were at

  180. Owan Bear yesterday. You know you went for a party

  181. yesterday when you were dancing and then somebody is singing ah,

  182. and then you just go and then your dance like

  183. that and then you carrying money and anything with your

  184. in your bad context.

  185. The thing is crazy small, eh.

  186. You see this, This this drum that they used to

  187. play like this is talking drome and that that drum

  188. actually talks.

  189. It talks.

  190. In the Yorba palance, it is said that if they

  191. want to, if they want to scatter the entire place,

  192. they can use that gun going to do it, and

  193. they will scattered, in fact, if gurgle man if for

  194. like one month, because that's their business. If the man

  195. never chop, eh, you know what they would do. They

  196. will carry that there gaga and then somehow central place

  197. in the community they will just start playing. I tell

  198. you before that evening, somebody, one old person will die, yes, yes, yes,

  199. and then they will go and once the person died

  200. will come and tell that you want to announce the

  201. date of that person. So they will now go to

  202. the house and start play and start play, and then

  203. people will now know that somebody is dead. And then

  204. what happened, there will be enough. They will declare up

  205. plus whether you have the money or not. When somebody dies,

  206. because it's the crazy madness that we're having Nigeria. When

  207. somebody dies like this, even if the money that you

  208. didn't use to take care of the person when the

  209. person was sick, you're gonna bring it and then you

  210. declase surplus.

  211. Eh. It is like somebody.

  212. Whose wife I just put to bed nine months, even

  213. common pampas you know by and the baby come, you

  214. declare suplas.

  215. Excuse me, what's happening to us?

  216. So people give during these programs, why just to be praised,

  217. just to be praised, not because they actually were giving

  218. to bring glory to God. Some give so their names

  219. will be announced.

  220. Eh.

  221. So that it is me I am the one giving.

  222. But that's not what the Bible is teaching us. But

  223. that's kind of giving us no reward from God is

  224. looking at your heart. God is looking at our hearts.

  225. What is the state of your heart? That's number one.

  226. So let's go to number two. Things that I want

  227. us to see from the Bible today. Number two, God

  228. supplies and rewards faithful give us. He's there in the

  229. verse nine of that place we're read. So you see

  230. it in this.

  231. This eight. Rather look at what the Bible says there.

  232. And God is able to bless how abundantly. When you

  233. say something is abundant, what is the size of abundant?

  234. Immeasurably you can measure it abundantly, so that in all

  235. things and at all times.

  236. I in want all that you need.

  237. But somebody is going to say, ah, but do you

  238. usually have everything I need?

  239. Let me tell you have what you need, it is

  240. not what you want.

  241. God is concerned, and that's why Paul when he was writing,

  242. he said, and my God, we supply all that you need,

  243. not what you want.

  244. There's a difference. There's a difference. So he says, IVN

  245. all that you need.

  246. What we app you will abound, abounding, mean that you

  247. will have sorts of the flowing supply that you can give,

  248. that you can continue to give again, that you can

  249. continue to gieve in every good work. So what's the

  250. God the Lord telling us there? When you give with

  251. the right heart, God blesses you. But listen, not always

  252. with money, because that is where the issue is. Many

  253. of us think, and that's why it has become the

  254. church has become a place of transaction. Now HM, So

  255. if I bring God must give me no. But if

  256. you consider the peace somebody was sharing that God had

  257. instructed the person to speak to a particular person, and

  258. for some time, the person was reluctant. It didn't want to.

  259. The person doesn't want to. He didn't want to speak

  260. to the person, just to tell the person. And you

  261. know what, as soon as the person decided to even

  262. speak to that person that same week, there was a

  263. gift that came to that person, appreciating the fact that

  264. the person who took their college to.

  265. Even warn that person.

  266. There are times that God is expecting us to give

  267. It is not because he doesn't have in the first place.

  268. What you have.

  269. He gave it, and he's saying just part of it,

  270. and then we're still complaining. But when God blesses us,

  271. he could give us opportunities. When God blesses us, he

  272. could make it available. Sufficiency, sufficiency meaning that God will

  273. always make it available.

  274. You don't know about a begging.

  275. I pray for deeper understanding of the revelation of the

  276. world of God. Look at this, The more you give faithfully,

  277. the more God trusts you.

  278. With more.

  279. Jesus gave the parable of the talent. A man was

  280. giving fife, another man was giving to another, one was

  281. giving one. The one that was giving fife multiplied. The

  282. one that was given to multiply. The one that was

  283. giving one buried it. So some of us we always

  284. want to keep what we have. No, but that's not

  285. what God wants us to do. A woman in a

  286. local church was known to give small but faithful offering.

  287. When a financial emergency came up, she testified to our

  288. God provided through unexpected help. Through unexpected help, that's the

  289. God who sees our hearts. God steps into situation for us.

  290. God curses even to run away from us. God blesses

  291. whichever weigh, just like a way looking at the matter

  292. of prayer being answered, No, you don't dictate to God.

  293. God has the right to do what he wants to do.

  294. But he has promised that he's going to bless and

  295. so whatever he has decided to do is left to him.

  296. But it's going to bless. You made the Lord help

  297. us in Jesus' name. All right, let's go to number three.

  298. Thing that I want us to get this money a

  299. heart of sacrifice and that's something about giving.

  300. A heart of sacrifice.

  301. So let's go to the Book of Marc Chapter twelve

  302. forty one to forty four. Mark chapter twelve forty one

  303. to forty four, Mark twelve forty one to forty four.

  304. Look at what the Bible say is there. Jesus sat

  305. down opposite the place where the offerings were put and

  306. watched the crowd putting their money into the temple treasury.

  307. Many rich people threw in large amounts, but a poor

  308. widow came and put in two very small copper coins

  309. worth only a few cents.

  310. Colin Is disciples to him.

  311. Jesus said, truly, I tell you, this poor widow has

  312. put more into the treasury than all the others.

  313. They all gave out of.

  314. Their wealth, but she, out of her poverty, put in

  315. everything all she had.

  316. To leave on.

  317. This is something about God, the institution of marriage. A

  318. man and a woman, we come, eh, and the Bible

  319. says they will do or they will become one.

  320. You see something that is happening here.

  321. People who are rich, they were coming with their big

  322. bags of money, and the Bible said Jesus sat down

  323. there and was watching, and he saw all of them

  324. give it. But the conclusion is that the person who

  325. came because she gave out of all she has, and

  326. that's a big expression from that woman. It is not

  327. about the amount now, so we will see it in details.

  328. So what are the things that we can glean from

  329. that text? Jesus watches how we give? Can you tell

  330. somebody by your side say, Jesus watches how you give.

  331. Jesus is always watching how you give.

  332. Number two things you see in that textis that many

  333. rich people gave large psums, but Jesus noticed the widows

  334. gifts because it was sacrificial. I pray that each time

  335. that you give, either in the church or even to

  336. other people, that God evils will notice what you are

  337. given in Jesus' name. It is not enough to give,

  338. but does God notice what you are giving? The only

  339. point when God notices such giving is when it is

  340. actually sacrificial.

  341. What else do we see there? She gave all she

  342. had a heart.

  343. It shows that she actually has a total trust in God,

  344. total trust in God. I have this all I have,

  345. but I believe that God will provide.

  346. And that's what she gave.

  347. Oh pastor is saying that as you're going to bring

  348. all my bank accounts and come and pour it in

  349. the church.

  350. That is not it, That is not it.

  351. And that's where we began from the first Corinthian account.

  352. It's about your heart, what have you decided. But it's

  353. not enough about the decision of what you intend to give,

  354. but also that God is expecting a sacrificial giving. And David,

  355. when David was to sacrifice to the Lord, and God

  356. instructed him that he should sacrifice because of the plague

  357. that was going on in the land and.

  358. Around now the Jebucide said to.

  359. When David told him that he wanted that land and

  360. he will pay for it, he said, no, don't pay

  361. for it. I will just give you everything, including all

  362. this thing, for you to do the sacrifice. And he said, no,

  363. I will not give to my God what will cost

  364. me nothing. That's a level of sacrifice. And that's what

  365. God again is expressing in this text about that woman.

  366. Our motive was not to show off. When we come

  367. to church to give, it is not to show off.

  368. It's the motive was that of love, that of faith,

  369. that of obedience to the instruction of God. And Jesus

  370. was saying that give m h and it shall be

  371. given unto you. What are we to give? From that text?

  372. What are we to give? It's not clear. Give anything

  373. that is givable and then it shall be given to you.

  374. What would they give to you? Anything that is givable

  375. to you? And that's the principle of the Kingdom of God.

  376. What is it takeaway? Whether you end one thousand ira

  377. or one hundred thousand ira. What masters is your motive?

  378. And faith?

  379. That widow will be unnoticed in our today's society. Is

  380. that true or not very true? Nobody will notice her.

  381. But meanwhile in the Kingdom of God, she's establishing mansions there.

  382. But Jesus saw a heart. I pray that Jesus, we

  383. always see your heart, and evans will notice what you

  384. give in the name of Jesus Christ.

  385. Let's go to number four and that's the final point

  386. I want to bring.

  387. Out this morning. God measures what we keep, not just

  388. what we give. See, my sister is laughing.

  389. God is also measuring what you don't give, not just

  390. what you have given. What does this.

  391. The rich in that text gave out of excess. They

  392. have plenty. Out of plenty that they have, they give.

  393. The widow gave.

  394. Out of a lock, which means that there's a day

  395. that you have ten thousand ira, there's another day, and

  396. on that day you could give.

  397. But now today.

  398. All you have is just on hundred in ira, and

  399. God wants to see how sacrificial that you are. God

  400. is looking, it's also measuring what we have not given.

  401. So when God is looking at what you have given,

  402. it's also looking at what you have not given. God

  403. is not asking for what you do not have. And

  404. the Bible says, what do we have that has not

  405. been given to us? Only this life? Even the life

  406. God has given it to us. If God decided it's

  407. going to take that life away from us, who are

  408. you to question God?

  409. God? Lives have been taken out of people.

  410. What can they do about it? So God is not looking,

  411. He's not asking for what you don't have. It is

  412. based on what you have. If all that you have

  413. is just ten thousand diar, God is just saying, take

  414. part of it, and I'll go to another explanation later on.

  415. So it is asking you to trust Him with what

  416. you have. Trust God with what you have. It is

  417. not what you don't have. Another point is that giving

  418. that places God often comes with sacrifice, a cost, that

  419. shows it comes first. And that's why the encouragement is

  420. that we give our tithes as soon as you know

  421. we receive something, give part of what we want to

  422. give to God.

  423. That's the encouragement.

  424. Look at what the Bible says in the Book of

  425. Proverbs Proveraps Eleven twenty four. See, there's some principles in

  426. the Bible.

  427. That I had to choose. Look at this.

  428. The Bible says, one person give freely, eh, Yet it

  429. gains more analysis. Somebody is always giving, it's always giving.

  430. And yet the Bible says, the person has more when

  431. you always give.

  432. Eh.

  433. God, we trust you with more, and so you will

  434. always bless you with more. Because I know this one well,

  435. not hide, it will not hold. But look at it.

  436. The Bible now says that I'm not that person with

  437. all unduly.

  438. Eh.

  439. Some people everything about them is how they will receive,

  440. how they will receive, how they will receive. I am

  441. in needle, I am in needle all the time. They

  442. are always in need. They don't give, and the Bible say,

  443. what apples they come to poverty? Ah, May the Lord

  444. deliver us from perverting Jesus name. Sorry to use.

  445. This description.

  446. Our nation and Anigeria doesn't give to other nations, but

  447. they are always borrowing.

  448. You see the reason why we are poor.

  449. And Angeria is one of the poorest the nations of

  450. the world.

  451. But we're always borrowing.

  452. During about just time, you know, they wrote off many

  453. of our debts eh, meaning that they gave it to us.

  454. Then we went back.

  455. We start borrowing and borrowing and collecting and collecting, but

  456. never to give. If you're someone that's always receiving and receiving,

  457. you're not giving out.

  458. You are dead. See. And that's the tropic of dead sea.

  459. For what they have told us about the dead sea.

  460. Every river comes into the dead sea, but nothing goes

  461. out of the dead sea. Nothing goes out of it.

  462. Stagnant there. And that's the description that God is telling

  463. us here. One person gives idea money life to the

  464. service of God everything. It is not just about money alone. No,

  465. you are available for the things of God. You are

  466. available to assist other people. You are available to hep

  467. and support. You are available all of these things. Is

  468. part of giving, is part of giving, and the person

  469. as it gives is energised. But somebody that doesn't give

  470. is falling sick. Yet it doesn't give. He doesn't do

  471. this one, he doesn't do all these other things. It's

  472. fighting challenges.

  473. How come.

  474. Give us never lack. Everyone who gives will never lack.

  475. That statement is not a prayer, it's a principle of life.

  476. It's a strong facts of life. You don't have to

  477. be a Christian. You don't even need to know Jesus.

  478. If you give, you will never lack. Somehow somebody will

  479. come to your head. I pray that God we open

  480. our eyes in Jesus' name, had attitude that pleases God.

  481. Number One, give with joy, not because you most give

  482. with joy. The Sami says, I was glad when they

  483. said to me, let us go to the house of God.

  484. Some people, when.

  485. They say it is time for church, they are sad.

  486. They don't want to come to church. They will have

  487. reasons upon reasons not to come to church. My bellot

  488. is turning me. Something is happening to me, and I

  489. say with joy, not because you must come to church,

  490. not because you much, but because you are happy. Like

  491. the Sami says, I was glad when they said to me,

  492. let us go to the House of the Lord.

  493. Because a place for you to worship and save your God.

  494. Give with joy, not because it is a must, even

  495. though it is required of you to give.

  496. God does not.

  497. Firsts trust God, don't fear, don't fear, trust him. Be

  498. willing to sacrifice, Be willing to sacrifice.

  499. Obey God's voice. What is God telling you right about?

  500. Now? Obey his voice. Let's look at some real life

  501. examples and then.

  502. I'll be.

  503. I'll give room. I will summarize it and then interact

  504. real life examples. A wealthy business man in my Tama

  505. gives five hundred thousand and ira offer him every Sunday,

  506. but he spends two million Ira on one dinner. Now

  507. let's understand this description. He's a business man. These are

  508. ways that he could have spent the money. He's a

  509. business man. I could get my business partners because I

  510. want to get business from them, and then go there

  511. and just let's have a business meeting. And then he

  512. decided to spend the two million Iraw that's a possibility,

  513. and God, it's not it's not faulting that it's business.

  514. But just imagine this man is a business man, has

  515. so much money and every Sunday it comes, it gives

  516. five one hundred thousand dora. You know, it makes the ear,

  517. it makes the account of the church to swear right.

  518. But this same person can go and declare surplus with

  519. two million ira get girls and just you know, declares

  520. supplus everywhere. It is not about what has been done,

  521. it's about the value. What value has this percing placed. Meanwhile,

  522. a woman selling tomatoes in caramel market gives two hundred

  523. naira every Sunday, which is our profit from the sales

  524. of tomato. Every two days, she's only able to get

  525. two hundred naira. And then she said that two hundred

  526. naira that are we get for selling tomato in two days.

  527. And we take that one and give in the church, all.

  528. Right, But the rest of the two two hundred narra

  529. that will come in the rest of the days of

  530. the week. And we keep that one to myself to

  531. help my family. In God's eyes, who gave more? In

  532. God's eyes, who gave more? It is not what we

  533. are thinking. I prave that God we open our eyes

  534. beyond the letters in the name of Jesus. Sometimes these

  535. principles of the kingdom are so tough, but you know what,

  536. the hand is always peaceful look at this experience again.

  537. A civil servant turning eighty thousand ira monthly decide to

  538. give ten thousand naira as tithe for eighty thousand mira. Normally,

  539. what should have been the tide eight thousand mira. Okay,

  540. so ten percent of that should have been eight thousand ira.

  541. But this person decided, I'm going to give ten thousand mira,

  542. which is above the tide, even when for costs have increased.

  543. School fees I do allelujah. Parents, parents shout allelujah. School

  544. feez is coming is also uh h. But in spite

  545. of all that, that person is giving ten thousand mira.

  546. To do that.

  547. This requires faith that God will provide this place. Is

  548. God more than politician who gives one million naira from

  549. money It should not have even half in the first place.

  550. So when they bring it to church, you know where

  551. we're talking about that the other time, whether we should

  552. receive it or not. If they have brought it to

  553. the Lord, we receive it and we use it to

  554. the glory of God. But between you and God, and

  555. that's why you see, it is very important that we

  556. understand what is going on here. It is God who

  557. decides in all of this, He has his principles. All

  558. that God requires from us its obedience. Look at this.

  559. A university student like Shello and Tardita gives one thousand

  560. hour from our five thousand aram monthly. Mister Fanshadow, reduce

  561. what you're giving her every month, please, is part of

  562. the increase it. So she takes one thousand dora out

  563. of five thousand hora to support church mission, fellowship mission

  564. in school, meaning she must walk instead of taking an

  565. acada some days. But you see what that sacrifice of

  566. one thousand era that she's giving to mission work has

  567. touched the heart of God. It doesn't have to be

  568. much the rest of the four thousand era. What is

  569. that going to be for? For other things that you

  570. need to do. But you have taken again that Oh,

  571. this one that should have been for me to take. No,

  572. let me go through this. God will see the heart

  573. and God will bless.

  574. So personal check.

  575. Why do you give? Can you ask yourself that question

  576. this morning? Why exactly am I giving? How much do

  577. you really give? Are you a cheerful I mean, are

  578. you cheerful when giving? Or you are grumbling? These people

  579. have come and let's just go and give. Let's just

  580. go there. Let's just drop something that's not just about it.

  581. Do you give only when you have enough? Or do

  582. you trust God even when you have little? Even when

  583. you have little? Do you trust God that's going to

  584. bless you? So let's summarize the point this way. God

  585. values the motive or the reason behind your giving more

  586. than the amounts.

  587. God is looking at. The reason.

  588. Is it for you to show off? Or is for

  589. you to glorify God? Cheerful and willing giving places? God

  590. cheerful and willing given places God. The Widow's offering teaches

  591. us about sacrificial giving and trust in God. Giving is

  592. a way to honor God, not to impress people. So

  593. when you bring, that is the reasy. Are you honoring God?

  594. When you bring to God? It is not to impress anybody.

  595. And finally, when we give faithfully, God supplies our needs.

  596. When we give faithfully God, we always supply our needs. Remember,

  597. God sees your heart. He is not impressed by big

  598. envelopes or loud announcements. He is honored by a heart

  599. that gives out of love, faith.

  600. And joy.

  601. That is what God is looking at. That is what

  602. God is looking at because God wants to bless us,

  603. so let me say this. Does it mean God is

  604. not asking us for be big money? Bring the big money,

  605. but give it from the heart that is out of love,

  606. out of faith and joy, and me the Lord help

  607. us in Jesus' name. All right, questions and interactions before

  608. we pray. Questions and interactions?

  609. Okay? One? Two? Just two people? Where's the second mic? Please?

  610. Mister Barnabas and mister came up one of their church someday.

  611. I told pastor about it that I will not becoming

  612. at if Fred inverted me. So the first time I

  613. actad the church, I said, Bro, your church is beautiful.

  614. You say thank you? So where and it is time

  615. for all three? Then I now went to outside then

  616. and now remove to Aldrednran to Tally places as even

  617. if they want to dance like dlet times after that

  618. is my cot is. I just want to say, you

  619. don't want to dance like Dley times. I have money

  620. to to put so we have many in number. I

  621. don't know why your eyes just flash to me, he said, Bro,

  622. how much are you breaking out?

  623. It's to organize? Are you saying? To now? Many of them?

  624. Some of them are breaking five thousands even this mo

  625. children one five, two thousands, he said, at the people

  626. that respect me a lot in my working place.

  627. Amen, bro, No, you can't do that. I was ashamed.

  628. Immediately, people that I preach for, we're now telling me

  629. how to give the approaching for me on how to

  630. give the church. I shameless, lady move one thousand another

  631. I put as an a free Immediately I do the

  632. A three I run out of the church.

  633. Were judging me.

  634. I said, k Now, you see when I go back

  635. to my church, no wonder, your church is beautiful. If

  636. I go back to my church to ordnarize cancel, that

  637. is that is me. That's my gos to hodnize, cancel

  638. the broad them. But it's just I say, five thousands.

  639. It's worse in the week. Now you know that you

  640. are coming to the church. Praise Master Jesus. So web

  641. pastor is dep preaching about it. Now reflect again and

  642. now say I'm as say it to clear my court

  643. yet Praise Master Jesus.

  644. Amen.

  645. Thank you very much, sir. I like the points you made.

  646. Once in a week, many of us we don't even

  647. get to this church environment except once, and it's only

  648. on Sunday, and the only thing that you have of

  649. everything that God has done, your God is so small

  650. that it is only five point fifteen nine that you

  651. can bring to him every week. It's a shame on you.

  652. That's how big your God is. That's how much you

  653. appreciate your God. That's how much you appreciate your God.

  654. And I'm sure the church that you are talking about

  655. is within this our vicinity.

  656. They are not. They don't have two aids in that place.

  657. No. I remember when Gary Kee was still struggling, people

  658. were giving out of the little day had. But look

  659. at that church today, the Convention president, while he was there,

  660. that church was always giving as a church. And so

  661. that thing has entered into every member of the church.

  662. And I was sharing with somebody. When is the prayermitting

  663. they don't need to announce in this church? Is only

  664. on Sunday that we give?

  665. Is not so?

  666. Which other time do we give? There's none, There is

  667. none in Garrigede. There is nothing that happens in that

  668. church that they don't give. Even if you don't ask them.

  669. The pastor has forgotten. Once you close, like these people,

  670. they will they will open. Because the offa tree boxes

  671. they are always lined up in front like this, they

  672. will come and give.

  673. That is a level of relationship with God.

  674. But you see most times when we feel that God

  675. has what exactly has God done for me? And because

  676. God has not done anything, look at that proverbs that

  677. we read. Some people keep holding like this, They keep

  678. holding to themselves, and what is happening? They are getting poorer.

  679. The church you have said, the members are giving. It

  680. is once in a week, once in a week, once

  681. in a week. May God open our eyes.

  682. See. The principle of the world of God is simple.

  683. It is what look at somebody decided that it is

  684. five thousand I want to give.

  685. He gave example of himself.

  686. Ins still trying to divide the money in his pocket

  687. even to two hundred, instill trying.

  688. To divide it.

  689. It's a mentality because you feel that God has not

  690. done anything for me, So why should I give you?

  691. But God, they allow what happened to Job and his

  692. children and to happen to you. Your business did not collapse. Eh,

  693. it is send you out of work. But you come

  694. and the only thing you come and do is just

  695. say this is God, just I beg manage this five

  696. hundred this week. I will see you next week when

  697. I come back. Made the Lord open our eyes. May

  698. the Lord help our hearts.

  699. Praise a lot, men, Thank you, Thank you person of

  700. the lecture that you're giving us. My questions go like this,

  701. and the example, yes, the teaching that you give us

  702. about politicians and the market women. Now if the politicians,

  703. we are aware the avoided contract and the federal government

  704. removed the money gave him to do the contract of

  705. his constituency, and he didn't do the project, and he

  706. removed some amount of money, brought it to the church.

  707. They supposed to accepted the money. That is my question.

  708. No, make it clear I say that.

  709. But yes, the example that you give the for the

  710. politician the market Twolman.

  711. Yes. Now, if the politicians.

  712. The constituency requested a work for their side, yes, and

  713. they go through him, Yes, and he submite the proposal

  714. to the government, Yes, and the government approved the contracts okay,

  715. and they give him the money.

  716. He didn't do the work, okay.

  717. And now you know removed amount of money inside that

  718. project that he didn't do for the constituency. He brought

  719. it to the church he was supposed to accepted the money. Okay,

  720. So that's a question. Is the church supposed to accept

  721. the money? Is the church supposed to accept the money?

  722. You said, thank you very.

  723. Much, man.

  724. So the only reason why the church it is a

  725. gift that you are bringing. The church is not aware

  726. all of this story, their background stories. If the church

  727. is aware, If the church is aware, thank you all right.

  728. So if the church is aware that they of course

  729. the church, sorry, please. The church is part of the community, abby,

  730. and they are aware that the community has gone through

  731. their representative, and they are also aware the government has

  732. approved of the money, and they are also aware that

  733. the money has been paid, and they are also aware

  734. that that's the money is somewhere sitting in the politician's

  735. bank account, and they are aware that he has taken

  736. the money out of that account and he has brought

  737. it to church. That's the scenario, is that not so

  738. the church is aware of all of those steps, which

  739. ideally the church can never be aware of all of that.

  740. But let's hear prais the Lord.

  741. From my own point of view, there are gifts and

  742. there are a gift that are meant to shut them

  743. out of the receiver. If that gift bringing to church

  744. is like give you a night food that will not

  745. make the church to say the truth to the power.

  746. I'm of the opinion that the church should not collects

  747. such And recently there was one that happened between Kby's

  748. state government and one of our pastor and then Pastor

  749. Pollinating when during the crusade, the governor sends money to

  750. them like TEXTI maybe three million or texts a million.

  751. As they were back announcing and saying that I want

  752. to use this to support the ministry of.

  753. Pastor this and this we heard. Even the wife was

  754. the first person saying no, no, no, no, no no.

  755. So when the pastor we talk, so I see there

  756. are all funds in these states. There are people that

  757. need this money. Take it to them, But are they

  758. going to take it to them? So gifts are not

  759. all the time gifts. So are we advised that the

  760. Church of God should be sensitive.

  761. And allow the only spirit to guide us in whom

  762. we received from and what we received from them? The

  763. lobby apples and Jesus, and.

  764. You see, perhaps the church is not even a place

  765. like dunamis the place.

  766. It's like she Loo Baptist Church.

  767. And somebody say, and somebody has brought teny million to

  768. the pastor's office, say, pastor, give me the account of

  769. the church, and this money is hot, let me drop

  770. it to the account of the church.

  771. God has led me to do that.

  772. But this is money that you are aware there's supposed

  773. to use for project community project.

  774. Should the church take it.

  775. Or not? He gets as he b and b as

  776. he gets praise the Lord after mister Patrick mamadicness Bardi.

  777. Yes, after what moment I've just said. I think I

  778. think recently it's like the f City minister worship with

  779. Apostolic Church. I don't know, maybe probably he grew grew

  780. up from that church, so he visited a particular district.

  781. So he went to the church and was like trying

  782. to you know, trying to monetize the church and influence

  783. them on their voting patterns, you understand. So recently the

  784. hierarchy of the church came out and said that's that

  785. should be the firsts and the last that any politician

  786. will visit their church to try to influence them on

  787. who to vote for or on how to go about.

  788. Their voting im patterns.

  789. You understand, because some of these politicians, we're talking politicians

  790. we are talking about. Some of them are outside the outside,

  791. their conturt jobs, their businessmen. I don't think there's no how.

  792. Even there are criminals that will go we will go

  793. out there, you understand. Raw people will still come back

  794. to church, you understand, and go to church and job offerings.

  795. So like those politicians we are talking about their businessmen,

  796. there is no how you identify that this particular money

  797. was taken from the contract awarded, and this particular money

  798. is from their business aspect. So I feel that whatever

  799. that is brought to church is left between you and

  800. your God.

  801. Thank you, sir, thank you.

  802. My man.

  803. Dickness, Oh there I said your mind, Okay.

  804. Praise the Lord. Amen.

  805. As human beings, we should look at money from each size,

  806. like in this church. We have seen the way we

  807. come to church and the way we look. Invariably, we

  808. don't know each one's account, but from the look at

  809. of things, you can be able to know that this

  810. person heed this amount, this person heed this amount, and

  811. if by tomorrow I should come here to give thirty million,

  812. there should be questions around like a case we're handled

  813. in soccer.

  814. Somebody ran to you.

  815. And say give me ten thousand, give me ten thousand,

  816. I will sende it for thirty million.

  817. It's got a questioning.

  818. Sure, you are asking me for ten thousand and you

  819. are giving me thirty million. Why not go with that

  820. thirty million? Why do you want to which means in

  821. the first place, you must know that that thirty million

  822. is deity. He wants to drop that day thirty million

  823. with you and go with your ten thousand.

  824. And that was what's happened all these people. That's and.

  825. They enter into somebody's account. Then he wants these Pews

  826. people to give him ten thousand, and after collecting the

  827. ten thousands from pos, he now enter into another person's

  828. account and transfer that a million. And when the ICI

  829. icip you see people was checking the account, they came

  830. and hold the fewers. I was not the person somebody

  831. transferred into my cant and he has this appeared. So

  832. we must make use of our behavior, even why in

  833. the church, even why in the market, thank you.

  834. Thank you. We must be people of integrity. We must

  835. be people of integrity.

  836. Yes, we may not know whether or not that money,

  837. as some of them are business people, and let's not

  838. take that out of it, all right, But then as

  839. a church, as a church we must leave under the

  840. influence of the power of the Oly Spirit to guide

  841. us in anything such as that. It's not just even

  842. about politician illum, but people who are not politicians. So

  843. let's take it out of those who are not even politician.

  844. It's not just about politician illue. Do we just receive

  845. anything just because it's coming from Uh? This is where

  846. you are aware. But if you're not aware the person

  847. has brought a gift to the church. Why should I question?

  848. It is between you and God, and you have brought

  849. it to God. You have left it on the Lord's

  850. table let. It be used for the work of mission.

  851. It's all about that. But then between you and God

  852. the matter will be sorted out. Made the Lord guide

  853. our thoughts. May the Low strengthen our beliefs. In Jesus' name.
