  1. So I want to preach tonight from Mark chapter 11.

    Mark 11 chapter mention

  2. If you've got it in front of you.

  3. And it is Palm Sunday.

  4. And the first thing that I want to say to you is,

  5. ! Despite the fact that Jesus had a large crowd around him,

  6. nobody was really with him.

  7. He was on his own.

  8. I don't know how you find it, but sometimes when I'm talking with people who are going through really difficult times,

  9. and like some of you are, and I can't identify myself with what is being said and what has happened,

  10. I find myself thinking and saying to them,

  11. there's no one who will understand this except Jesus Christ.

  12. And the great thing about Jesus is not only will he understand what you're going through,

  13. but he will be able to help you.

  14. The second thing I want you to notice as we begin, as we read these verses about the walk into Jerusalem,

  15. is that everything's upside down.

  16. All the things that are meant to be impressive are not impressive.

  17. And the things that you think are not impressive are very impressive, as we'll see.

  18. I read of two students in Aberdeen who went to an art show in an art gallery,

  19. and they took with them a one-pound pineapple they'd bought in the supermarket.

  20. They left the pineapple on an empty stand in the art show,

  21. and they were delighted a few days later when they went back

  22. to see that the pineapple had been given its own glass case

  23. and had been made part of the art show.

  24. That's the world that we live in, isn't it?

  25. So suddenly things that are really stupid become serious,

  26. and things that are really serious get treated stupidly.

  27. And so if you've got the passage open for you, there's two headings for tonight.

  28. One is The Lonely Road, and secondly, The Loving Word.

  29. Okay?

  30. The Lonely Road and The Loving Word.

  31. And my hope is that this sermon will help us be anchored,

  32. that this week we won't be like a cork bobbing along in the ocean.

  33. So we're on the road to Jerusalem, and Jerusalem is the point of Jesus' mission.

  34. He wants to get to the city because that is where he's going to be crucified.

  35. And so we read back in chapter 10 and verse 33 that he said to his disciples,

  36. we're going to Jerusalem where I'll be handed over to die.

  37. And even though the way that Jesus rides into Jerusalem is the way to death,

  38. and it should have registered with the disciples, they just don't get it.

  39. And they might have thought to themselves,

  40. he's about to ride in on a donkey,

  41. and it says, doesn't it, in the Old Testament,

  42. that somebody from the tribe of Judah,

  43. and Jesus is from the tribe of Judah,

  44. will eventually link donkey and death together,

  45. but they don't get it.

  46. They might have thought that almost the last book of the Old Testament is Zechariah,

  47. and it says this, it says,

  48. Rejoice, your king comes humble riding on a donkey,

  49. but they've obviously not been reading their Old Testament.

  50. And so they don't remember, and they don't register.

  51. And they don't get what Jesus is doing.

  52. And even though we need the word of God to understand the events which take place,

  53. nobody even seems to remember.

  54. In the incident before, Blind Bartimaeus, do you remember?

  55. He put one and one together, and he made two.

  56. He recognized that someone was coming who was called king,

  57. someone was coming who was called son of David,

  58. and Jesus is acting like this son of David,

  59. so he must be the son of David.

  60. He put one and one together, and he made two.

  61. But nobody here on Palm Sunday does that.

  62. Now, when I think of Palm Sunday,

  63. I don't know what you think of.

  64. There are certain hymns which we've missed singing today, aren't there?

  65. Certain hymns which, if you grew up in a church,

  66. you'll remember those choruses.

  67. You'll remember Sunday school lessons

  68. where you made palm branches

  69. and you put your coats on the ground.

  70. And we think often,

  71. Palm Sunday must have been a day

  72. when people really recognized who Jesus was.

  73. When people got very, very excited about Jesus

  74. and there was lots of faith in Jesus.

  75. And then really strangely,

  76. five days later,

  77. they all turn against him.

  78. And they call for his crucifixion.

  79. And I want to suggest to you

  80. that isn't what is happening.

  81. I want to suggest to you

  82. that actually there's no faith at all here.

  83. Everything is completely superficial.

  84. And I think I can prove that to you.

  85. If you look at the four Gospels,

  86. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John,

  87. they all record the coming of Jesus

  88. introducing him on a donkey.

  89. It's a big event.

  90. This is what Matthew says in Matthew 21.

  91. He finishes with this verdict from the crowd.

  92. The crowd said Jesus is a prophet.

  93. And I'm absolutely sure they've missed the point.

  94. They don't say he's king.

  95. They don't say he's the Messiah.

  96. He's just a prophet.

  97. If you go to Luke's Gospel,

  98. chapter 19 records the event.

  99. And then it finishes with this verdict

  100. that Jesus wept.

  101. And he said,

  102. to the people,

  103. if only you'd know

  104. what would make for your peace.

  105. You did not recognize God's coming to you.

  106. And John tells us,

  107. in his account,

  108. in John 12,

  109. the final sentence of John 12,

  110. the disciples did not understand

  111. what Jesus was doing.

  112. And Mark's Gospel,

  113. he records a number of things

  114. they said,

  115. but none of the things they said

  116. really connect to Jesus.

  117. I want you to look at me

  118. with me at this lonely ride for Jesus

  119. and why it's important

  120. that it is a lonely ride.

  121. Because Jesus is doing

  122. a mission on his own

  123. that no one else can do.

  124. And as we look at

  125. these verses,

  126. verses

  127. nine and ten,

  128. some of you might think,

  129. isn't our minister

  130. really,

  131. really clever

  132. to show us things

  133. that we've never seen before?

  134. And where would we be

  135. without our great guide

  136. and guru,

  137. pastor?

  138. I doubt you're saying that.

  139. But I want you to notice

  140. that I'm not going to say anything

  141. that actually

  142. if you carefully read the text

  143. and follow up the references

  144. in the Old Testament,

  145. you wouldn't be able to see yourself.

  146. So first of all,

  147. look at verse nine

  148. of chapter 11.

  149. The people call out,

  150. don't they,

  151. Hosanna.

  152. And that word means save.

  153. And it was the sort of thing

  154. that they called out

  155. when they walked

  156. or marched into Jerusalem.

  157. And it was a very general word

  158. calling out to God

  159. to save us.

  160. And it doesn't say,

  161. does it save us from our sins?

  162. It could be just

  163. save us from our Roman oppressors.

  164. It's a general,

  165. oh God,

  166. save us from our problems.

  167. There's nothing specific

  168. being said about Jesus.

  169. And then in verse nine,

  170. and those who went before

  171. and those who followed

  172. were shouting,

  173. Hosanna.

  174. Blessed is he who comes

  175. in the name of the Lord.

  176. Now we read that

  177. and we think that

  178. it's speaking about Jesus.

  179. But if you go to the Psalm,

  180. it's not talking about Jesus.

  181. It's talking about the pilgrim.

  182. The pilgrim who is

  183. on his way to Jerusalem.

  184. Blessed is the person

  185. who goes up to Jerusalem.

  186. Blessed is the person

  187. who goes up to Jerusalem

  188. and ends up in the temple.

  189. It's not about Jesus at all.

  190. Then look at verse 10.

  191. Blessed is the coming kingdom.

  192. And that's just

  193. the standard language

  194. of we're looking forward

  195. to something better.

  196. There's no direct link

  197. to Jesus at all.

  198. And the final sentence

  199. of chapter 11, verse 10,

  200. Hosanna in the highest.

  201. Save us.

  202. Save us.

  203. It's vague.

  204. It's really vague.

  205. It's general.

  206. It's not specifically

  207. related to Jesus.

  208. It's pretty empty.

  209. And so you see,

  210. each of the Gospels

  211. in their own way

  212. are telling us

  213. that Jesus is on

  214. a very lonely ride.

  215. At Palm Sunday,

  216. the crowds don't understand him.

  217. The disciples

  218. don't understand him.

  219. They're just having

  220. standard Passover celebrations.

  221. There's no grasp

  222. that Jesus was the king at all.

  223. Do you think it's possible

  224. for you to be so in the dark?

  225. Do you think it's possible

  226. for people to be in a crowd

  227. and to be saying things

  228. and singing things

  229. that are really orthodox

  230. but actually completely

  231. missing the point

  232. at the same time?

  233. Do you think that's possible?

  234. Think about weddings.

  235. Think about Christian weddings.

  236. There's a hymn, isn't there,

  237. that explains that

  238. Jesus lived and died and rose.

  239. And then there's a reading

  240. from the Bible

  241. that explains that

  242. Jesus lived and died and rose.

  243. And then there's an explanation

  244. of what marriage is.

  245. There's a picture of

  246. Jesus living and dying and rising.

  247. And then there's a sermon,

  248. isn't there,

  249. or a talk.

  250. And they proclaim

  251. that Jesus lived and died and rose.

  252. And then you go to the reception.

  253. And what do people say?

  254. They say,

  255. Minister,

  256. that was a lovely service.

  257. Thank you.

  258. And they pay no attention

  259. to what was being said.

  260. Can I just say,

  261. that was a lovely service.

  262. They were lovely words.

  263. And even though they were singing

  264. and listening,

  265. nothing has gone in.

  266. Think about Christmas.

  267. It's a privilege, isn't it,

  268. that people pile into Christmas services.

  269. And the carols are

  270. so wonderfully full of

  271. rich truth about the Lord Jesus

  272. and who he is,

  273. that he's the King of Kings

  274. and the Lord of Lords.

  275. He's God made man.

  276. He's the saviour of the world.

  277. He's the Messiah.

  278. He's the one who comes

  279. to give second birth.

  280. And we discover very clearly

  281. who he is

  282. and what he came to do.

  283. And people sing

  284. and they listen

  285. and nothing

  286. goes in.

  287. And

  288. well,

  289. think about a normal church service

  290. where people can sing the hymns

  291. and listen to the reading

  292. and confess their sin

  293. and say the creed

  294. and hear God's word

  295. and nothing

  296. goes in.

  297. You see,

  298. it's possible,

  299. isn't it,

  300. to be like the crowds

  301. on Palm Sunday.

  302. To be listening

  303. and saying

  304. but not getting it.

  305. And if we look very,

  306. very carefully

  307. at Palm Sunday,

  308. I think we are meant

  309. to see Jesus is alone

  310. and we are not just meant

  311. to despair at that point.

  312. Because he is alone.

  313. He alone is the answer

  314. to our problem,

  315. the answer to unbelief.

  316. And he's the answer to sin

  317. and he's the answer

  318. to lostness.

  319. And so by the time

  320. you get to Jerusalem

  321. and he is crucified

  322. and he does his work,

  323. the temple of the curtain

  324. opens

  325. and people start

  326. to pour in.

  327. One more little clue

  328. in Mark 11

  329. that this crowd

  330. is not appreciating Jesus

  331. is that in verse 11

  332. when he actually gets

  333. to the temple,

  334. to the meeting place,

  335. that place where people

  336. were meant to meet

  337. with God,

  338. Mark doesn't tell us anything.

  339. There's no red carpet

  340. laid out for him.

  341. There's no people

  342. waiting for him.

  343. There's nobody

  344. talking to him.

  345. It's eerie, isn't it?

  346. He walks in

  347. and he looks around.

  348. And in Mark's gospel

  349. when you read it,

  350. that little phrase

  351. looking around

  352. is always ominous.

  353. It's almost

  354. always ominous.

  355. Whenever it says

  356. he looks around,

  357. what is he looking for?

  358. He's looking for life.

  359. He's looking for faith.

  360. And how many

  361. does he have with him

  362. when he leaves?

  363. Verse 12,

  364. no big crowds.

  365. And so here is perhaps

  366. the loneliest ride

  367. in the universe.

  368. And I want to say this to you

  369. because loneliness

  370. is such a big issue,

  371. isn't it?

  372. It's a big issue always,

  373. but it's a big issue

  374. at the moment.

  375. I quite like being alone.

  376. But being lonely

  377. is different,

  378. doesn't it?

  379. it's when you feel

  380. that nobody

  381. is really connecting

  382. or caring for you.

  383. And loneliness

  384. is when there's

  385. no guarantee

  386. that

  387. if things are going

  388. to get worse

  389. or not,

  390. that there'll be

  391. someone there for you.

  392. That is a terrible feeling.

  393. And you know

  394. that slight panic

  395. that you may be alone

  396. and adrift.

  397. And loneliness

  398. is a very big thing

  399. in our city.

  400. There's lots of loneliness

  401. out there,

  402. isn't there?

  403. And because our world

  404. is told

  405. that there is no

  406. loving Heavenly Father

  407. whatsoever,

  408. it's just you

  409. in an empty universe,

  410. it's no wonder

  411. that there's such

  412. a great deal

  413. of despair.

  414. But God

  415. has two answers,

  416. doesn't he,

  417. to loneliness.

  418. One is his son

  419. who is able

  420. to bring you

  421. and I

  422. immediately

  423. into the Father's

  424. presence

  425. so that you

  426. will return

  427. to him

  428. and he runs

  429. down the road

  430. and embraces you.

  431. And the other

  432. partial answer

  433. to loneliness

  434. is God's family,

  435. isn't it,

  436. that you see

  437. on your screen.

  438. And God's family

  439. is made

  440. up of sinful

  441. people

  442. and imperfect

  443. people.

  444. It's literally

  445. tonight a rogues

  446. gallery.

  447. But it's one

  448. of the ways

  449. that God

  450. builds the bridges

  451. of relationships

  452. in our world,

  453. isn't it?

  454. And we begin

  455. to show some care

  456. and kindness

  457. to one another.

  458. We don't do it

  459. perfectly,

  460. we know that.

  461. But we do it

  462. profitably.

  463. And so that's

  464. the lonely road.

  465. Secondly,

  466. a loving word.

  467. A loving word.

  468. I don't know

  469. what you feel

  470. when you read

  471. the first few

  472. verses of Mark

    Mark 11 chapter mention

  473. chapter 11.

  474. I think

  475. when you read

  476. the first few

  477. verses of Mark

  478. 11,

  479. you scratch your

  480. head and you

  481. think,

  482. what is this

  483. here for?

  484. Why are we

  485. being told

  486. all this stuff

  487. about a donkey

  488. that's tied up

  489. and you're

  490. going to go

  491. and untie it

  492. and somebody's

  493. going to say

  494. to you,

  495. why are you

  496. untying it?

  497. And you're

  498. going to say

  499. I'm untying it

  500. because of this.

  501. What is that

  502. all about?

  503. Don't you feel

  504. like calling out

  505. I don't get it?

  506. Well,

  507. let me try

  508. and give you

  509. the answer,

  510. I think.

  511. Jesus is giving

  512. his disciples

  513. a reminder

  514. that he can be

  515. trusted

  516. and his words

  517. can be trusted.

  518. and the reason

  519. is if you

  520. look at what

  521. he says,

  522. just look at

  523. chapter 11

  524. verse 2,

  525. he says

  526. to two

  527. disciples,

  528. remember they

  529. forgot in the

  530. Old Testament,

  531. they're not

  532. thinking,

  533. are they?

  534. They're not

  535. registering,

  536. but he wants

  537. to help them.

  538. So he says

  539. in verse 2,

  540. go into the

  541. village in front

  542. of you and

  543. immediately as

  544. you enter it

  545. you'll find

  546. a colt tied

  547. on which

  548. no one has

  549. ever sat.

  550. Untie it

  551. and bring it.

  552. And

  553. the implication

  554. is this,

  555. Jesus knows

  556. what is in

  557. front.

  558. And Jesus

  559. knows what's

  560. around the

  561. corner.

  562. And in the

  563. future.

  564. And that is

  565. a very definite

  566. prediction of the

  567. future that is

  568. going to prove to

  569. be true in a

  570. matter of minutes.

  571. Most of the

  572. promises in the

  573. Bible that we

  574. have, you've

  575. got to wait a

  576. long, long

  577. time for their

  578. fulfillment.

  579. But this

  580. promise to the

  581. disciples is going

  582. to be fulfilled

  583. in minutes.

  584. So the

  585. disciples might

  586. have said to

  587. themselves, he

  588. is amazing.

  589. Or look at

  590. verse 2

  591. again.

  592. Go into the

  593. village in

  594. front of you

  595. and immediately

  596. as you enter

  597. it, you will

  598. find a colt

  599. tied on which

  600. no one has

  601. ever sat, no

  602. one has ever

  603. ridden it.

  604. And so my

  605. reaction to

  606. that would be

  607. don't attempt

  608. to ride a

  609. colt that has

  610. never been

  611. ridden on.

  612. It's going to

  613. be a disaster.

  614. But Jesus is

  615. Lord of all,

  616. isn't it?

  617. So it's no

  618. problem.

  619. Or look at

  620. verse 3.

  621. And if

  622. anyone says

  623. to you,

  624. why are you

  625. doing this?

  626. Well, you

  627. say to

  628. them, the

  629. Lord is

  630. in need of

  631. it and

  632. we'll send

  633. it back

  634. here immediately.

  635. And they

  636. went away

  637. and found a

  638. colt tied

  639. outside a

  640. street and

  641. they untied

  642. it.

  643. So they

  644. turn up,

  645. they start

  646. untying the

  647. donkey and

  648. the people

  649. say, what

  650. are you

  651. doing?

  652. And they

  653. say, dot,

  654. dot,

  655. dot.

  656. And the

  657. owners of

  658. the donkey

  659. say, it's

  660. all yours.

  661. It's all

  662. yours.

  663. In other

  664. words, nobody

  665. may be

  666. listening to

  667. the word of

  668. God, but

  669. the donkey

  670. owners are

  671. listening to

  672. the word of

  673. God.

  674. When they

  675. hear Jesus

  676. needs it,

  677. they say,

  678. it's all

  679. yours.

  680. They cooperate.

  681. And the

  682. fourth thing is

  683. Jesus gives

  684. them in verse

  685. three, the

  686. key to

  687. who he

  688. is.

  689. Can you

  690. see?

  691. He says,

  692. the Lord

  693. needs it.

  694. The Lord

  695. needs it.

  696. I want you

  697. to know that

  698. Jesus hardly

  699. threw the

  700. word Lord

  701. around.

  702. Most of

  703. the time,

  704. you'll know

  705. that Jesus

  706. called himself

  707. the Son

  708. of Man.

  709. The Son

  710. of Man is

  711. one of those

  712. phrases like

  713. Clark Kent

  714. or Peter

  715. Parker, which

  716. means a lot

  717. if you're in

  718. the know,

  719. doesn't it?

  720. But it

  721. doesn't mean

  722. anything if

  723. you're not

  724. in the know.

  725. And the

  726. Son of

  727. Man was

  728. a veiled

  729. way of

  730. saying, I

  731. am significant,

  732. but I'm

  733. not making

  734. it too

  735. obvious.

  736. And here

  737. he says,

  738. though, the

  739. Lord needs

  740. it.

  741. And the

  742. word Lord

  743. is the

  744. word used

  745. to describe

  746. God.

  747. And so

  748. finally, as

  749. Jesus is

  750. entering into

  751. Jerusalem, he

  752. says to the

  753. disciples, go

  754. and speak to

  755. these people

  756. and tell

  757. them that

  758. God needs

  759. the donkey.

  760. Jesus needs

  761. the donkey.

  762. And so

  763. these owners

  764. of the donkey

  765. get the

  766. point.

  767. But I

  768. wonder whether

  769. the disciples

  770. got the

  771. point.

  772. Probably

  773. not.

  774. John tells

  775. us, doesn't

  776. he, they

  777. didn't get

  778. it as they

  779. marched into

  780. Jerusalem.

  781. They hadn't

  782. listened to

  783. the Old

  784. Testament.

  785. They weren't

  786. listening to

  787. Jesus.

  788. They didn't

  789. get it.

  790. Jesus was

  791. on a lonely

  792. ride.

  793. And even

  794. though he'd

  795. given them

  796. a loving

  797. word, he

  798. now this

  799. instruction is

  800. given to

  801. the disciples

  802. and to

  803. me and

  804. to you

  805. to cause

  806. you and

  807. I to say

  808. something like

  809. this.

  810. Jesus

  811. Christ knows

  812. what's in

  813. front of

  814. us.

  815. He is in

  816. charge of

  817. the future.

  818. Jesus

  819. Christ controls

  820. the uncontrollable

  821. and his words

  822. are to be

  823. listened to.

  824. And his

  825. words are to

  826. be trusted

  827. and his

  828. words are

  829. to be

  830. obeyed.

  831. And he

  832. describes

  833. himself as

  834. the Lord.

  835. And we

  836. need to

  837. make a

  838. decision.

  839. What will

  840. our family

  841. do?

  842. What will

  843. we do

  844. about

  845. Jesus

  846. Christ?

  847. That's the

  848. big question.

  849. Will we

  850. just say

  851. he's a

  852. prophet?

  853. In which

  854. case we

  855. press the

  856. point.

  857. Will we

  858. say he's

  859. a good

  860. man,

  861. he's a

  862. religious

  863. leader?

  864. In that

  865. case we

  866. press the

  867. point.

  868. Or will

  869. we say

  870. he is the

  871. Lord?

  872. God.

  873. And our

  874. family is

  875. only going

  876. to be

  877. safe and

  878. sound and

  879. wise and

  880. well underneath

  881. the Lordship

  882. of Jesus

  883. Christ.

  884. And that

  885. is the

  886. decision,

  887. isn't it?

  888. But can

  889. you notice

  890. with me

  891. here there's

  892. a real

  893. contrast.

  894. The words

  895. of men

  896. and women

  897. are really

  898. empty.

  899. empty.

  900. The words

  901. of men

  902. and women

  903. in this

  904. passage are

  905. really

  906. empty.

  907. Even the

  908. slogans,

  909. the pious

  910. slogans,

  911. they are

  912. empty.

  913. And if you

  914. don't see

  915. that Jesus

  916. Christ and

  917. his words

  918. are crucial,

  919. not only

  920. the words

  921. of men

  922. are so

  923. empty,

  924. but the

  925. words of

  926. Jesus are

  927. so powerful,

  928. so safe,

  929. so true,

  930. so foundational.

  931. And so

  932. isn't it

  933. true that

  934. you and

  935. I, we

  936. listen to

  937. thousands of

  938. words each

  939. day, most

  940. of which

  941. are completely

  942. useless.

  943. And in a

  944. week's time,

  945. no one will

  946. pay the

  947. blindness bit

  948. of attention.

  949. Just think

  950. of the things

  951. that are said

  952. today,

  953. and there

  954. will be a

  955. complete waste

  956. of space

  957. next week.

  958. But the

  959. words of

  960. Jesus will

  961. be utterly

  962. necessary.

  963. Next week.

  964. And the

  965. week after,

  966. and the

  967. week after

  968. that.

  969. And the

  970. deeds of

  971. men,

  972. they're so

  973. empty.

  974. All these

  975. religious

  976. actions,

  977. all these

  978. waving of

  979. palm branches,

  980. all these

  981. throwing of

  982. cloaks,

  983. there's no

  984. clue as to

  985. who Jesus

  986. is.

  987. But when

  988. you are lit

  989. up by the

  990. person of

  991. Jesus,

  992. suddenly

  993. everything

  994. starts to

  995. make sense.

  996. And you

  997. understand that

  998. your future

  999. is under

  1000. control,

  1001. and you

  1002. have promises

  1003. to stand

  1004. on,

  1005. and his

  1006. deeds make

  1007. your deeds

  1008. worthwhile.

  1009. And so

  1010. Jesus is on

  1011. a very lonely

  1012. road,

  1013. and he's on

  1014. a lonely

  1015. road for a

  1016. reason.

  1017. And he is

  1018. the only one

  1019. that understands

  1020. his mission.

  1021. He is the

  1022. only one that

  1023. can do his

  1024. mission,

  1025. and within a

  1026. week he will

  1027. be completely

  1028. alone.

  1029. He will not

  1030. even have the

  1031. fellowship of

  1032. his father

  1033. anymore.

  1034. he'll be

  1035. on the

  1036. cross and

  1037. he will

  1038. cry out,

  1039. my God,

  1040. my God,

  1041. why have

  1042. you forsaken

  1043. me?

  1044. Because he

  1045. is going to

  1046. experience the

  1047. darkness that

  1048. our sin

  1049. deserves in

  1050. order to

  1051. give us

  1052. freely the

  1053. salvation that

  1054. he deserves.

  1055. And so let

  1056. me ask you

  1057. tonight,

  1058. are you like

  1059. the crowds?

  1060. A bit of a

  1061. song when we

  1062. sing?

  1063. A bit of a

  1064. listen?

  1065. A bit of a

  1066. song,

  1067. but no

  1068. change.

  1069. Or are you

  1070. really hearing

  1071. the words of

  1072. God that

  1073. Jesus is the

  1074. King and

  1075. the Saviour

  1076. and he is

  1077. the key to

  1078. the future

  1079. and the

  1080. Lord of

  1081. your life?

  1082. And you

  1083. need to

  1084. surrender to

  1085. him and

  1086. to trust

  1087. him.

  1088. Let me

  1089. tell you what

  1090. Jesus Christ

  1091. is like.

  1092. He goes on

  1093. a lonely

  1094. road right

  1095. to the

  1096. end to

  1097. make sure

  1098. that you

  1099. and I

  1100. can have

  1101. a certain

  1102. future.

  1103. And he

  1104. gives a

  1105. loving word

  1106. to you.

  1107. He's

  1108. promised

  1109. so that

  1110. you and I

  1111. can have

  1112. a certain

  1113. presence.

  1114. Right now,

  1115. let's thank

  1116. him.

  1117. Let's bow

  1118. our heads.

  1119. Let's

  1120. bow our heads.

  1121. Thank you.
