Okay, now, let's pray, Father God, we are so grateful today
-
that in Jesus we have life. We're grateful for your mercy. So grant
-
us as we study the scriptures to understand your character better today and to worship
-
you and obey you in Jesus' name. Amen. Recently I was listening on
-
Christian radio to a sermon by Pastor John MacArthur. Have you ever heard Pastor
-
John MacArthur, who is a prominent Christian Bible teacher today and he's heard daily
-
on his television radio broadcast called do you know what It's called? Grace to
-
You? And I've learned a lot from Pastor John MacArthur. I really appreciate
-
his broadcasts, but this one caught me a little different. I want to
-
interact with it. I for one, want to get as much of God's
-
grace as I can. So anything says grace to you, I want to
-
see if there's grace filled preaching and teaching from the Bible, and for good
-
reasons, because we grow by grace, don't we We're healed by God's grace.
-
God's grace matters. The subject of his sermon was focused on the Heathen
-
and the question, the question being if someone never heard of the Gospel,
-
if someone never had a Bible, if someone never had an opportunity, would
-
that person automatically be lost because they didn't know Jesus by name or they couldn't
-
respond to the scriptures? Isn't that a good question? You ever wondered about
-
that? Okay? And I appreciate the fact that Pastor John MacArthur affirmed that
-
Jesus Christ, that in Jesus Christ, God loves us, but he limited
-
it to believers, to people who would respond. I liked the first part
-
that God gave Jesus because he loves us, but I found it problematic in
-
the second part. I was horrified that there was no love for the unbeliever
-
that could save a certain someone in the heathen world who was unfortunate enough to
-
never hear, to never have a Bible, to never get a chance as
-
we have had. There are millions of those kinds of people in the past.
-
Are they automatically lost? So Pastor John MacArthur put it rather bluntly.
-
Rather, he says, those who have never heard, have never accepted Jesus
-
Christ, are lost for all time, with absolutely no hope of salvation,
-
but only the certain prospect of an eternal hell. I mean, he said
-
it very calmly. He just put it out there, as if that's supposed
-
to be grace to you for the day. Now. I'm not trying to
-
be critical to him. I was interacting with this. I believe we should
-
interact with thinking preachers in our culture. So I bristled when I heard the
-
stuff. I thought to himself, who wants to worship a God like that?
-
Is that a good question to ask? Who wants to worship a God
-
like that? If God will sentence sincere people to hell without giving them some
-
meaningful opt opportunity to be saved. Now, the question of eternal hell is
-
another subject. The Bible does not teach in the eternal hell, where people
-
are tormented forever and ever. It teaches that hell is an event. It's
-
when God's glory is revealed at the end of the millennium, and where everyone
-
has ever lived sees the Cross of Christ, the throne of God exalted over
-
the mount of Olives, where God's feet, where Christ's feet split the mountain
-
in two, and based on the Cross and the Book of Life, every
-
human destiny would be decided by what the choices that they have made that are
-
written in the books. But that's another subject matter. So would it be
-
fair that God would send it someone to hell or to final destruction, or
-
anything for that matter, without ever letting them have a chance to be saved.
-
Would that seem fair to you? No? And so as I heard
-
this, I thought to myself, if God will do that, If that's
-
the kind of God you know that we have to worship. I don't want
-
to worship him. I don't want to bow down to a God who's more
-
of a devil than God. And I mean it as I say it here
-
in the pulpit today. There is something good about the character of God.
-
Christ came to reveal who God is. You know, Jesus said, this
-
is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God. And
-
Jesus Christ, whom thou has sent friends, We are not safe in a
-
false knowledge of God, our creator. We must know him as he is.
-
To be moved in love. The Bible says it is the kindness of
-
God that moves us to repentance. In Romans, too, heaven would be
-
hell from me. And maybe you, if you think about it, if
-
we had to worship a God like that for all eternity. So Pastor John
-
MacArthur, if he ever hears this on the radio, I have great respect
-
for him in many areas, but I wish we could have a dialogue about
-
this matter. The character of God revealed in Jesus matters, because if we
-
worship the wrong kind of path, we become like the object of our worship.
-
Who wants to spend all eternity with a bad God and worship someone who's
-
a monster? I, for one, don't want that. So I thought
-
it relevant today to readdress the same question that Pastor John MacArthur took up on
-
the radio. Grace to you and to look and see what the Bible really
-
has to say about the subject. Can someone really be saved who never heard
-
of Jesus, who never had a Bible, who never met a missionary,
-
who never had someone share the truth of the Gospel. Is the heart of
-
God, the mind of God, the spirit of God able to reach out
-
and save someone like that? Can God save a person way out there who
-
never heard? Now? I say this with respect. They are amazing Bible
-
verses in the Bible that don't agree with Pastor John MacArthur's theology and the subject.
-
I hope you will one day look at them to consider the true character
-
of God that matters mighty much for those of us who worship Him in spirit
-
and truth. This morning, I want to have a Bible study in this
-
Bible question, not a sermon, but a Bible study, and then look
-
at some relevant statements in the spirit of prophecy that perfectly agree with the Bible.
-
And first of all, I'd like to affirm from the Bible that it
-
matters what we worship, because the Bible teaches we become like the object or
-
person we worship. Look at Psalms one hundred and fifteen, verse eight.
-
The Bible says of idols, where he says, you make an idol of
-
this and that and so on, and he says those who make them are
-
like them, so are all who trust in them. If you have a
-
false God in your life, if you have a bad view of God,
-
if you have an object that takes the place of God in your life,
-
the Bible saying, you've become like that which you adore. So our worship
-
affects our character, it affects who we are. This verse means that we
-
become like the God that is our God, whatever our knowledge of that is.
-
So that's why John Calvin would write in his Institutes the Christian Religion,
-
when he helped to foment the understanding of the Reformation, that the knowledge of
-
God the Creator matters in our understanding of God his character, so that the
-
Gospel is really good news and not bad news. We need to get to
-
God's character. We need to get it right in our minds based on scripture,
-
because if we get it wrong, we can become like the false notion
-
or theology that we have learned to love. Worship changes people in the church.
-
Worship matters John three point sixteen. Let's just start there. This is
-
the greatest version of the Bible. It's called the Magna cart of the Christian
-
faith. For God so loved the world that he what what does the Bible
-
say? He gave? God gave his only son monogony. Weios that whoever
-
believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. The text tells
-
us plainly that God loves the whole world. I mean there it is.
-
God doesn't love just the elect, which some of latter Calvinism and the Reformation
-
taught he loves the whole world. He loves the whosoever of John three point
-
sixteen. He is not willing that any should perish, but that all should
-
come to repentance. And then what is love? The Hebrew word for love
-
means to give, and here in the Greek it says he gave his only
-
son. God demonstrates his love toward us. The Book of Romans says,
-
and that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. God's love
-
is packaged in Jesus, whom he gave to save us. Whoever believes in
-
him should not perish but have eternal life. Now this might mean that if
-
you don't believe, he can't be saved. Of course, the pastor MacArthur
-
would focus in on that. But here it's saying that whoever believes in him
-
should not perish but have eternal life. But it's not talking about the person
-
who never heard. God gave Jesus so we can believe, and that's good.
-
Is that good? That's good? And he gave it so everyone can
-
have eternal life. Now, this text tells us plainly that God loves the
-
whole world. It means God loves everyone in the world. It means God
-
gave Jesus because God loves the world. And this verse says that God loves
-
the world because God doesn't want anyone to be lost. And yes, faith
-
in Jesus makes a huge difference here because God gave Jesus so we could have
-
faith in him. Hugely important. Now, just a few verses before,
-
take your bibles and turn to John one verse nine. Here John writes this
-
amazing statement to go along with John three point sixteen shared later on. We
-
should not read John three sixteen out of context with John one, especially verse
-
nine. Of course, in the beginning was the word. The word was
-
with God. The word was God. Verse one. All things were made
-
through him, that's Jesus. Without him, not was anything made that was
-
made. And him was life. The life was the light of men.
-
The light shines in the darkness at the dawn of time and creation, and
-
the darkness has not overcome. It goes on to say, there was a
-
man sent from God whose name was John. That's the disciple John. He
-
came for testimony to bear witness to the truth. Then it says in verse
-
nine, the true light that enlightens every man, meaning every human being,
-
was coming into the world. So how many people have been enlightened by Christ?
-
According to that verse? Read it with me. Every single human being
-
has received an illumination from Jesus Christ. Christ came to save those for whom
-
the light shines. The Gospel of John teaches us that every single person has
-
received a measure of the light that is Jesus Christ himself, whether that person
-
knows it or not. And John eight twelve Jesus identified himself as this light.
-
I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not
-
walk in darkness, will have the light of life. So the light that
-
is Jesus helps us to walk in the light that is right. God's light
-
is God's right righteousness. It is more moral than it is theological. It
-
is personal, it is relational. It is our response to God on the
-
inside of our heart, more than our understanding in our head. You can
-
have lousy theology, but the Lord can illumine your heart to be a good
-
person. Did you hear me? So the light that is Jesus helps us
-
to walk in the light that is right to be good people. That means
-
it is our walk in the light that makes more, that matters more to
-
God, than our talk about the light, our discussion of our theology,
-
our description of how right or wrong we are, and understanding of things.
-
Friend, now hear me here, Being a good person matters more than knowing
-
what a good person is. Being a good person matters more than being able
-
to articulate the Greek Hebrew aramag or whatever a fine theological point. Every single
-
person has received a measure of the true light, that is Jesus, the
-
light inside the heart that matters most to God. So what about the heathen
-
who may have a knowledge of what is right inside of themselves, but not
-
a knowledge of Jesus or his word or any kind of correct theology. Is
-
there any hope that someone like that can be saved? Look at Romans two
-
eleven to sixteen. They will the apostle Paul is great treatise and righteous by
-
faith. Here hits this question head on, For God shows no partiality.
-
All who have sinned without the law will perish without the law, and all
-
who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. God will
-
bring the whole human race to judgment. Look at verse thirteen. For it
-
is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God. But what
-
does the scripture say, but the doers of the law whill be justified?
-
That opens the box. And then Paul moves to the gentiles who may never
-
have heard about God from the Bible, that may never have heard about Jesus,
-
may never have heard the name Yabweh Loheim or anything like that, never
-
heard of the Holy Spirit. But who can be saved? Nonetheless, look
-
at verse fourteen. He says, when gentile meaning the other nations, the
-
unbelieving pagan world nations who have not the law, do by nature what the
-
law requires. That means inside they've responded to something that true light that enlightens
-
every man. He says, they are a law to themselves even though they
-
do not have the law. And they show that what the law requires is
-
written. Where what does it say in your Bible on their hearts? Now,
-
Hebrews eight the New covenants to take the law of God and right on
-
your hearts. So if they have the law written on their hearts, even
-
though they have no knowledge, God has the ability to put that law on
-
their hearts and give them a new coven experience even though they they don't know
-
anything. He says, they show that what the law requires has written their
-
hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts. Now we
-
all have conflicting thoughts as I do right here. Did I mess up here?
-
Yet? I messed up there, But I tried to get it right
-
here. I'm struggling to do better. That's what conflicting thoughts are about.
-
We all have that, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts.
-
Accuse or perhaps excuse them on that day when according to my Gospel,
-
God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus. That's an amazing passage.
-
Here are people who didn't have a clue, who just didn't. But they'll
-
stand for God, and they'll realize that they've tried to get it right,
-
and that something inside of them was working and what they have wanted all their
-
life, they now see it's God, and they'll have to figure it out.
-
Paul is here indicating that there will be a gentiles in the judgment day
-
with clear consciences who never heard of the law of God as such, but
-
who keep the principles of the law that are written on their heart. Now
-
that matches well with acts seventeen thirty thirty one, when Paul preached Jesus to
-
the pagan philosophers and Greeks on Mars Hill. He came to Mars Hill in
-
fact, there was a statue to an unknown God, and he said,
-
well, you worship ignorantly. I proclaim to you there's a story behind that.
-
In antiquity, there's a great plague that hit the Greek Hellenistic world and
-
people were dying by the thousands. They were sacrificed to know this God,
-
that God, and any god you could think of, till finally a wise
-
philosopher who who knows where he God's wisdom from, probably the true light that
-
enlightens every man, come to the world. He said, it could be
-
there's a god we know nothing of, and that that unknown God, if
-
we pray to him, will somehow hear us and heal us so we don't
-
die anymore. So they went out in the middle of nowhere, they put
-
an altar up and they sacrificed to the unknown God. Right there on Mars
-
Hill in Greece, they had a statue to the unknown God. So Paul
-
is walking by and he sees it. He seizes on it. The philosophers
-
are arguing theology and philosophy and everything else. And he says, what you
-
worship ignorantly? This I proclaim to you. And he says this in verse
-
twenty nine, next seventeen, being then God's offspring, we ought not to
-
think that the deed is like gold or silver or stone and representation by the
-
art and imagination of man. Verse thirty the Times of Ignorance? What does
-
he say? Oh, it's not on the verse up there, Keep moving
-
to the next one. It's in verse Well, there's thirty. Oh,
-
the Times of Ignorance. That's it. God, what overlooked the King James
-
version? Says? Do we have a King James version out there? What
-
does it say? God winked at it like this? Okay, he winked
-
at it, But now see I like it. But now he commands all
-
men everywhere to repent, because he has fixed a day in which he will
-
judge the world in righteousness by a man whom he is appointed. And of
-
this he has given insurance to all men by raising him from the dead.
-
He said, look, God didn't hold those people accountable for what they did
-
not know. Isn't that good to know that I mean something's the world.
-
Yeah, Yeah, it's funny seeing preachers arguing with the Bible. They shouldn't.
-
God was fair to the times of ignorance. But we are no longer
-
in times of ignorance. People have a chance to know there's a Bible in
-
our hands. In the last days, we have a chance to dig and
-
get answers. Now, I was early on in my experience, throughout the
-
age of fifteen or sixteen, I would characterize myself as an agnostic. During
-
those years, I thank God that I took the time to seriously study the
-
books of Daniel Revelation where the evidence occurs, which gave me the knowledge of
-
God's existence. Of course, the Gospels gave me the knowledge of God's character.
-
The prophet Zachariah tells us that there will come a day when people have
-
never heard of Jesus will need to be instructed in the plan as they come
-
to Christ, to God and look upon his nail pierced hands and ask the
-
salient question, how did this happen to you? And why? And He
-
will tell them why look at Zacharat thirteen, verse four. And it shall
-
come to pass in that day that the prophets shall be ashamed every one of
-
his vision when he hath prophesied. Neither shall they wear a rough garment to
-
deceive. So about false prophets or people who grew up in other religions with
-
like the Oracle of Delphi and that kind of thing. But he shall say,
-
I am no prophet. I am an husbandman, for man taught me
-
to keep cattle from my youth. And here's the key verse verse six.
-
And one shall say unto him, what are these wounds in thy hands?
-
Then he shall answer those with which I was wounded in the house of my
-
friends, and they will be instructed in the plan. Jesus put it plainly
-
in John ten sixteen. And I have other sheep that are not of this
-
fold. I must bring them also, and they will hear my voice.
-
So there shall be one flock and one shepherd. When he said this,
-
he wasn't talking about Judaism. He was talking about the great were religions.
-
Cornelius, in the Book of Acts, was giving alms to God in his
-
pagan context until he got a knowledge of God. The apostles taught him.
-
He was already serving God as best he knew how. And that's the paradox
-
here. You know, we think that somehow God can't reach or interact with
-
people unless they have the knowledge we have, not true in the Bible.
-
Jesus, I'm gonna gather them. I'm not satisfied with all of the world
-
religions. Galtama. I don't know if I said that right. Different people
-
say it. But you know, the father Buddhism taught that he was the
-
way. Jesus is, I'm the Way, the truth and the life.
-
But he was probably trying to figure it out as best he could. There
-
would be good people from every single part of the world who have lived throughout
-
the ages, from every nation, kindred, tribe, and tongue, who
-
if they never heard of God, those who yearn for a good God will
-
find him. Jesus was talking here about people and the other world religions who
-
will be gathered in by him. The good shepherd. His sheep are out
-
there also, He says, I must go and gather them. The prophet
-
Jeremiah for saw the day when these ignorant gentiles. By the way, I'm
-
an my ancestors were ignorant gentiles. How many of you are in that group
-
here? Okay? Anybody few people born in the Jewish line, but most
-
of us didn't have that are distant past. The prophet Jeremiah for saw the
-
day when these ignorant gentiles loved by God will come from the ends of the
-
earth and confess that they have inherited lies all their lives. But now they
-
know better the truth is before them, because God is before them Jeremiah sixteen
-
nineteen. Oh Lord, my strength and my stronghold, my refuge in the
-
day of trouble. To these shall the nations come from the ends of the
-
earth and say, our fathers have inherited not but lies, worthless things in
-
which there is no prophit. And how will God treat these dear people who
-
will come to God in the resurrection on the last Day, who discover who
-
wake up in eternity and it's not what they were expecting. It's not hades
-
in the middle of the earth. It's not some nirvana nonsense. It's a
-
real physical body resurrection at the end of the age. And they wake up
-
and they discover that they got there now. C. S. Lewis.
-
When I was a young person, I read a lot of C. S.
-
Lewis. He has a book called The Last Battle in his Narnia series,
-
and Taskland know tash I say, right, tash Land, but it's
-
a corruption the word Aslan. Aslan was the word Turkish word for lion,
-
representing Christ in his symbolic work there, and Taskland was the counterfeit at Antichrist
-
in his book The Last Battle. And it turns out that in the New
-
Narnia representing the New Earth, a faller of Taskland, the Antichrist shows up
-
and you can't figure out how he got there, and Asland, representing Christ,
-
that he was the lion terms to him, said, well, you
-
know, you didn't realize it, but all your life you were really mine
-
because you lived the right kind of way. You had the right principles inside.
-
Even though you were technically on the wrong side, you were on my
-
side. And I have you here in the New Narnia. That's an amazing
-
insight of C. S. Lewis, as he would do that table talk
-
in World War two post World War two times to encourage the people of England.
-
Now England is essentially a secular nation. How will God treat those dear
-
people who will come to God in the resurrection on the Last Day, who
-
discover that they relied to about God all their lives. How does God accept
-
someone who never heard a sermon, never had a Bible, never had a
-
chance to learn the truth? Now we do. That's why we're with that
-
excuse. You know, if you're a true seeker after truth and you haven't
-
really studied the Bible to examine it, well, I'm not talking about this
-
surface reading stuff, then you're really not honest about it. You need to
-
dig in. Allow God to give you a chance to show you the evidence
-
He's placed in this book for the time of the end. Look at Acts
-
ten thirty five. But in every nation, anyone who fears Him and does
-
what is right, what does it say is acceptable to him? How do
-
you feel about that? Isn't that a good thing? In Daniel seven,
-
now, Daniel seven is one of the most important chapters of the Bible,
-
the prophet Daniel tells us that just before the end, there will be a
-
judgment in heaven, and God, the Father the ancient days, will give
-
to Jesus, the Son of Man, people from all over the world,
-
from every nation, kindred, tribe, and tongue, so that they will
-
worship him, and he will be the King of the Fifth Kingdom, the
-
Toro Kingdom, the Kindness Kingdom, the Kingdom of Heaven, and then he
-
will return at the end of the age. And in this judgment that occurred
-
technically the end of the seventeen hundreds, coming into the year eighteen forty four,
-
it seats, and then in a special event in the year eighteen forty
-
four, thrones were cast down. It brought down the old world order of
-
the Holy Roman Empire. It brought the Church state system Middle Ages down.
-
And in this judgment, God the Father, the Ancient of Days, takes
-
his seat in the investigative judgment, which commences in the year eighteen forty four
-
at the end of the god Zone vision, the longest Time prophecy in the
-
Book of Daniel, and in the pre advent investigative judgment. And some people
-
said, Pastor Mike, why do we need a preadvent investigated judgment? Is
-
that a good question? Yes or no? Raise your hand now let me
-
just kind of walk you through this. And Luke nineteen eleven and twelve,
-
the Disciples were nearing Jerusalem and asked Jesus the question, will you at this
-
time restore the kingdom? And then he said gave them the answer. In
-
verse twelve, a nobleman went into a far off country to receive a kingdom
-
and then return. Have you ever read that in your Bible? Verse twelve.
-
Now the nobleman is Jesus. He ascends to heaven after the cross.
-
The far off country is Heaven. And why does he go, according to
-
that verse, to receive what is kingdom and then return? Now, how
-
many of you want Jesus to come raise your hand high? Based on that
-
verse? How many of you wanted to receive his kingdom in heaven? So
-
he can? Okay? So how does he receive his kingdom? In Dale
-
seven? He comes before the ancient days to him as given a kingdom,
-
glory and dominion that our nations should serve him. I'm going to read that
-
in a second, and we learned that he receives his kingdom one name out
-
of time. You see, Christ represents us in the judgment. Because Christ
-
died for us on the cross. He does not expose us to the raw,
-
naked, awful scrutiny. It is a proxy judgment. He presents us
-
in heaven to enroll us in the heavenly list that will be the Taara kingdom,
-
the fifth kingdom of Daniel that will never end. The Book of Daniel
-
indicates that this judgment for God's people began in the year eighteen forty four.
-
Excuse me, okay, I am I just need a drink of water.
-
Hey, I choke up with some of this stuff. Thank you. I'd
-
swallowed a frog. You ever swallowed a frog? It takes a while for
-
the frog to jump out. So the frog's jumping out. But I scratched
-
my voice box a little bit just now, so I'm all right, all
-
right. The Book of Daniel indicates that this judgment for God's people began the
-
year eighteen forty four, the end of the twenty third years. That's not
-
what the sermons about in Daniel seven thirteen and fourteen. At the end of
-
time. In this preavant judgment heaven, just before the Second Coming, the
-
prophet Daniel shows Jesus as the son of Man, coming to God the Father
-
in the most holy place on his chariot throne. That is the ark of
-
the Covenant of Heaven, to receive his eternal kingdom. Look at verse thirteen
-
Daniel seven, I saw in the night visions and behold with the clouds of
-
heaven. There came one like a son of man, and he came to
-
the ancient of days and was presented before him, and to him was given
-
dominion and glory and a kingdom that all peoples and nations and languages should serve
-
him. His dominions. What kinds of dominion was it? Say, every
-
lasting dominion which shall not pass away. His kingdom, one that shall not
-
be destroyed. That's the final kingdom. It's the king of Heaven. But
-
noblemen went into a far off country receive this kingdom, then returned. The
-
second coming follows the heaven event. And I'll tell you right now, we
-
need to understand the doctrine of the investigative judgment, because it's all about grace.
-
It's about seriously surrendering to Christ, but being enrolled by Grace in the
-
eternal Kingdom. And Christ tells us in Revelation three five that in this judgment
-
we have angels. We have God the Father, that he will confess the
-
names of his people before His Father and the Holy Angels, one name at
-
a time, and he will not take our names out of the book of
-
life. If we hang on to Jesus. Is that good news. That's
-
good news. And these people he confesses remain in the Book of Life and
-
be saved for all eternity. So what matters most is not what you say.
-
It's what God says to Jesus in the judgment. And one by one,
-
this one and that one will be enrolled in Zion, this one and
-
that one will be enrolled in his eternal kingdom. Now let me say this.
-
I want Jesus to confess my name before His Father and the holy angels.
-
What about you? So you know what you need to do in our
-
daily life. We need to get on our knees and confess Jesus. We
-
get in the morning, we consecrate our lives to God. We share Christ
-
with our friends and neighbors. We ask God to straighten our lives out.
-
We want it to be fit for a Torah kindness, heavenly kingdom. Who
-
wants to live in a place with angels if we make them miserable all the
-
time, We should live like angels now right, learn to live to perfect
-
holiness in the Lord. Not to get to heaven, but because we're accepted
-
because of Jesus. I want to be right with him all the time.
-
So He will stand for me in that day and with me every day of
-
my life, so I need to stand for him. By grace right,
-
how many of you want to stand with Jesus? Choose that? Raise your
-
hand high, good choice. In the Bible, the sons of Korea,
-
you know who they were, sons of kor had a father, defied Moses,
-
we want to be in charge, and God too, and God said,
-
stand aside, I want to deal with this problem. And the earth
-
opened up swallowed them alive, and the Bibles as they went down to shield
-
alive. Then it closed back up. Kora died and some of the sons
-
of Kora died, But there were some of his sons who stood apart from
-
him in his rebellion. They didn't stand with him. They were saved,
-
and they became very important people in the worship of Israel. They wrote some
-
of the psalms that we have. The sons of Kora were outsiders who were
-
saved, who would not participate in an attitude of rebellion within the ranks,
-
who follow God. And the songs of Korra wrote Psalms eighty seven about the
-
nations who do the same thing as they did, who stand for God,
-
even though they don't know much. And this song tells us plainly that there
-
will be people from all over the world enrolled in the heavenly Kingdom when Jesus
-
confesses the names of his people in the Investigative Judgment just before the Second Coming,
-
that God will reach into places that we've never imagined, and that he
-
will enroll people in the Register of Zion. Look at verse one Psalms eighty
-
seven of the Sons of Kora song on the Holy Mountains stands the city he
-
has founded. The Lord loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwelling
-
places of Jacob. Glorious things are spoken of you, a city of God.
-
Among those who know me, I mentioned Rahab. That's Egypt, Babylon.
-
Behold Felictia and tire with Ethiopia. This one was born there, they
-
say. But this, that confession of the nations is not the final word
-
in the judgment day. God knows who belongs to him. God is the
-
one who decides who is born in Zion or not, and God chooses who
-
will be enrolled. So look at verse five. Excuse me, I have
-
an allergy too, You know I like you do. Know like about heaven,
-
there'll be no allergies. You back. This pollens out there or what
-
do they call it. It's not Paula, but in the fall it always
-
hits me. Ragweed, No ragweed in heaven. All right. Look at
-
verse five of Zion. It shall be said, and this one and that
-
one was born in her For the Most High himself will establish or the Lord
-
records as he registers the peoples. This one was born there. You may
-
have been born in the most awful place on planet Earth, but if you're
-
seeking God, you're trying to live for him. God accepts that person and
-
an investigative judgment, even though they were never a Christian. He will stand
-
before his Father and confess their names before the Father and the Holy Angels,
-
because this one was born in Zion. Verse seven says singers and dancers alike
-
say, all my springs are in you. In closing, I would like
-
to share some amazing statements in the spirit of prophecy that support every word we
-
have just read from the Bible Manuscript one, page one, eight eighty nine.
-
God tests God's test of the heathen who have not the light, and
-
of those living where the knowledge of truth and light has been abundant is altogether
-
different. He accepts from those in Heathen lands a phase of righteousness which does
-
not satisfy him when offered by those of Christian lands. He does not require
-
much where much has not been bestowed. Christ's object lessens page three eighty five.
-
Wherever there is an impulse of love and sympathy, wherever the heart reaches
-
out to bless and uplift others, there is revealed the working of God's Holy
-
Spirit. In the depths of Heathenism, men who have had no knowledge of
-
the written law of God, who have never even heard the name of Christ,
-
have been kind to His servants, protecting them at the risk of their
-
own lives. Their acts show the working of a divine power. The Holy
-
Spirit has implanted the grace of Christ and the heart of the savage, quickening
-
his sympathies contrary to his nature, contrary to his education. The light which
-
lighteth excuse me, the light which lighteneth every man that cometh in the world.
-
John one nine is shining in his soul, and this light, if
-
heated, will guide his feet to the King of God Andrew. Thank you
-
for this water. Okay, the desire of Ages, page six thirty eight.
-
Those whom Christ commands in the judgment may have known little of theology,
-
but they have cherished His principles through the influence of the spirit. They have
-
been a blessing to those about them. Even among the heathen are those who
-
have cherished the spirit of kindness before the words of life have fallen upon their
-
ears. They have befriended the missionaries even ministering to them, and peril their
-
own lives. Among the heathen are those who worship God ignorantly, those to
-
whom the light is never brought by human instrumentality. Yet they will not perish.
-
Though ignorant of the written law of God, they have heard His voice
-
speaking to them in nature, have done the things that the law required.
-
Their works are evidence that the Holy Spirit has touched their hearts, and they
-
are recognized as the children of God. Isn't that an amazing statement? Friend?
-
It still matters if we preach the gospel or not, because many more
-
will be saved, but no one will be lost because God didn't care,
-
and God didn't give each and every person person a portion of Holy Spirit light
-
that is really Jesus light, the light of the world. Christ loves the
-
little children of the world, all the children of the world, red and
-
yellow, black and white. They are precious in his sight. Jesus loves
-
the little children of the world Romans ten, fourteen and fifteen. But how
-
are men to call upon him whom they have not believed? And how are
-
they to believe in Him whom they have never heard? And how are they
-
to hear without a preacher? And how can men preach unless they are sent?
-
As it is written? How beautiful are the feet of those who preach
-
the good news? How many of you want to help people come to Christ,
-
you know, not just come to church, but really learn. Look,
-
I spend most of my time teaching people how to know the books of
-
Dean, Revelation, Romans, the Gospel so they can have Bible studies.
-
Would you let me teach some of you that would be interested in that?
-
That's what I live for. We have people in our community have never heard
-
of Christ, and they won't hear unless you share him and friends, our
-
neighbors are there, and our children and some others. Let's be soul winning
-
Christians. But don't forget God has already gone before us. He's got people
-
out there waiting. You're ready to hear preaching, and teaching matters. But
-
don't think for a moment that God doesn't love those dear people who have never
-
heard. He wants everyone to be saved and come to knowledge of the truth.
-
Dear Heart, we worship of God who wants every single person to be
-
saved, including you and me. So make your decision sure by removing every
-
ounce of rebellion in your life, so you two can stand with the redeemed
-
of all ages. Dear heavenly Father. No one gets to heaven without being
-
in heart part of a kingdom of kindness. So the Lord guard arts.
-
I don't want to be anything like Cora. I don't want to be an
-
unbelieving Judas. I don't be anything that would hurt you, Lord, just
-
part of the mixed multitude at the end that just go along and don't matter.
-
Help us, Lord to be humble, surrendered, up, respectful,
-
grateful that we belong to a worldwide movement that Jesus brought into existence for the
-
time of the end. Heal our church, Heal the pastors, our conference,
-
and Lord, our precious people. Lord, not a single one of
-
them is someone that can easily be discarded, Keep them for You and Lord.
-
All those people in our community that need to know what we've just talked
-
about today, May we be the good news and the pleasant feet on hills
-
that bring them to Jesus in this place, and maybe never surrender the truth
-
in Jesus name. Amen, Amen,
