The Boy and His Father

The heavenly Father. Lord, we are always grateful for Sabbath because it gives

us an opportunity to come into your presence. I pray Father, that hearts

are made follow this day, that the seed of the Word may populate and

bear fruit. And I pray that my oratory resembles as close as possible the

intent and the delivery that was intended by the writer of the sermon, Pastor

Michael oxentenkos So bless us now, Father, as we venture into your word

in Jesus' name. Amen, Jesus and demons, don't get along. Beware

that you are not in the company of demons. In the Gospel of Luke,

Jesus called the twelve apostles together for the express purpose of giving them power

over the demons. Turn your bibles with me to Luke chapter nine and verse

one. Then he called twelve disciples together and gave them power and authority over

all demons and to cure diseases. He sent them to preach the Kingdom of

God and to heal the sick. Luke records that Jesus gave the apostles both

power and authority in the Gospel of Luke and the Book of Acts written by

Luke. Also, power to heal and powder cast of demons is always Holy

Spirit power. At Luke one thirty five, the Bible says, and the

angels answered and said to her, the Holy Spirit will come upon you,

and the power of the Highest will overshadow you. Therefore also that holy one

who is to be born will be called the Son of God at Luke Chapter

four and verse fourteen. Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to

Galilee, and news of him went through through all the surrounding region, Acts

chapter one and eight. But you shall receive power, and the Holy Spirit

has upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and in

all Judea and Samarian, and to the end of the earth. Acts Chapter

ten and verse thirty eight. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy

Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were

oppressed by the devil. For God was with him. Jesus gifted the apostles

work with the power of the Holy Spirit to heal and to cast out demons.

He also gave the apostles authority. The proper use of authority implies the

idea of legitimate leadership and rule. And Jesus has authority because Jesus is God,

and because Jesus is the Word of God, and thus the authority of

God to heal and to defeat evil. In Hebrews one in eight, God

the Father calls his son Jesus God. Jesus called the Father his God and

his father in one John twenty and seventeen. But God the Father calls Jesus

God. And Hebrews one and eight the Father calls Jesus God, who holds

the right to rule on his eternal throne with him with all the authority of

the scepter of righteousness that is his law. Hebrews one in eight says,

But to the son, he says, your throne, O, God is

forever and ever. A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.

In Matthew twenty eight and eighteen, Jesus would later tell his disciples that all

authority in heaven and earth had been given me. Therefore go and make disciples

of all nations. This kind of absolute authority is the authority of God.

When you have God's authority, God is in charge of your life as God

gets it done for his glory and for his will. And thus you are

subject to His word and his will. And you therefore are His servants that

can command the situation because you have God's authority in your life. In Jesus

in the Spirit at Luke, chapter four and verse thirty six Bible says,

then they were all amazed and spoke among themselves, saying, what a word

this is. For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and

they come out. Jesus and demons don't get along at all. At one

time in the past, all the demons used to be holy angels under the

authority of the pre existent Christ, who was the rule of the angels and

captain of the Lord's hosts. In Isaiah forty four to six, God the

Father called Jesus Jehovah Yahaweh, Lord of host who is also that I am

the First and the Last identified as the Almighty in the Book of Revelation,

and Jesus claims the title of the First and the Last for himself in the

Book of Revelation. If Jesus is less than God, then Jesus doesn't have

the credentials to cast out demons, to save sinners, to heal, to

atone for God's broken law, that is God himself, and to raise the

dead at the end of the age with the power of God. You don't

get far into the Gospel of Luke before you see that Jesus is God in

a mission to save the lost and to cast out demons for his glory.

Demons inspires lies and false doctrines in the Church, and that diminishes Jesus,

God the Father, and the Holy Spirit, leading people to depart from the

faith without the power of God in their lives. At first the Misty,

chapter four and verse one, the Bible says, now the Spirit expressly says

that in latter times times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to

deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons. Demons diminish a person's individuality and rights because

they are a collective, like a hive full of hornets. They long ago

lost themselves and their personal identity to an evil group identity like many political philosophies

teach today in modern social justice movements, but demons it is never about I

and you, but about we. They trample on the rights of eye and

you for the good of the we, that is the collective. They're all

about the club, that is demons, and they could kill less about you

as a person or your personal survival with rights and dignity. They also try

to depersonal life, God and the Holy Spirit because they serve their desire to

diminish God. Also like modern communism, which is a satanic demonic philosophy,

demons call themselves we, the collective, the commune, the oppressed, the

victim. Class Mark, chapter five and verse nine says, then he asked

him, what is your name? And he answered saying, my name is

Legion, For we are Many demons glory in the death of children in the

Bible, and they still do on the ancient altars of Molik and other gods.

Also, demons accepted evil worship in the burning and mutilation of children as

an act of worship and for economic reasons. Also it was an evil thing

to do. People still do evil things like this in the hospitals throughout the

world. Seventy million children have been sacrificed in this country this way. The

Psalms at one O six, beginning at verse thirty seven, the scripture says

they sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons. They poured out innocent

blood, the blood of their sons and daughters, whom their sacrifice to the

idols of Canaan, and the land was polluted with blood. Thus they became

unclean by their acts and played the harlot and their doings. Then the anger

of the Lord was kindled against his people, and he offered his heritage.

Demons love to kill children. They're Some pastors have heard who are to turn

in their ministerial credentials, who have argued that abortion is a religious liberty,

a right to be protected. That is raw demon talk, in line with

Psalms one oh six. Killing children is not a religious rite or religious liberty.

It is an evil thing that God forbids because he loves the children.

In the Book of Revelation, unclean animals are associated with unclean spirits in Revelation

eighteen and two. Demons are represented as unclean birds. In Isaiah sixty six

and verse seventeen, God warns Israel to not participate in dermonic rituals that involve

eating pork and mice. God says he is coming to destroy that kind of

practice and the witchcraft that goes along with it. It makes no sense to

eat an unclean animal like a pig, a rat, a mouse, a

vulture, or hawk that represents demons. The symbol of an unclean bird is

still used in the Last Book of the Bible, and it makes no sense

to eat and clean foods that represent demons. Demons inspire in temperance and polluting

the body by lust. That is why Paul tells us that the Christian Church

is a temple of the Holy Spirit, with no place for sleeping with harlots

and no place for corrupting the body with intemperance. Demons work through drugs and

alcohol to control people. Also Ephesians five and verse eighteen, and be not

drunk with wine wherein is excess, but be filled with the spirit, speaking

to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in

your heart to the Lord. Alcohol doesn't pass the Holy Spirit test at all.

Rock music doesn't either be filled with the Holy Spirit and have the mind

of Christ within you, where the sweet melody rouse the music instead of the

beat that drives the wind. And the King Saul came under the power of

demons because he was arrogant and because he wouldn't submit to God's authority in the

Word of God or to a true prophet like Samuel. First Samuel, chapter

fifteen and verse twenty two, the Bible says, then Samuel said, has

the Lord as great the light in burning offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying

the voice of the Lord. Behold to obey is better than sacrifice, and

to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of

witchcraft and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word

of God, the word of the Lord, he also has rejected you from

being king. Saul rejected God's spirit by refusing to obey God's word through Samuel.

Just before Saul died, Sault consulted the witch at Endoor. When a

person harbors an intimate attitude of arrogance and rebellion toward God and his servants and

his word, they have opened the door to demons in their lives. Demons

can come into the life when resentment is cherished. Demons love to attend the

modern theater. They are found in the homes of many Christians who bring the

demonic material of the theater and rock concerts and evil novels and soap operas into

the home. In attendment systems, demons inspire the things that profane the mind

and heart. I haven't met a single person who is a strong student of

the Bible who regularly attends the theater for the latest action hero music of movie

fis or who attends the modern rock concerts, be they Christian or not,

where the group dynamic is not about surrounding yourself to Jesus, surrendering excuse me,

yourself to Jesus and his word, but rather getting caught up in the

group thatdynamic of feeling good, of swaying back and forth with the power of

the beef, as the we demons are today, we live in a time

where there is a movement afoot that claims to be the outpouring of the Holy

Spirit, and it is not. I'm here describing the modern charismatic tongue speaking

movement. You've heard them. This false Holy Spirit movement teaches people that when

they have the Holy Spirit, they don't need to hear what you have to

say from the Bible. If they have the spirit for themselves, they will

often say that I have a ram a word. You've heard the word.

I have a ramer word from God that is a word within me, like

I'm a prophet. They believe the Lord speaks directly to them. They claim

as if we should be impressed that at all, and then they act like

they are prophets themselves when they are not prophets. In the least believers are

not to go about here, and they are saying, the Lord told me

to tell you something. We have bibles, and God doesn't move on believers

to be little prophets for everybody else in the church when they have Bibles.

In the New Covenant experience in Hebrews eight and eleven, God says his people

will all know him, from the least to them to the greatest, because

He will forgive their sins one by one and remember them no more. God

has given each one of us a Bible for the Bible itself to work on

us individually as Christians, so each one of us can come to know God

for ourselves with a pure Bible religion that is personal and based on clear evidence.

At the end of time, Bible says three unclean spirits will come out

of the mouth of the Dragon, the beasts, and the false Prophet to

anger the nations and to gather them to destroy the commandment keeping people of God

from off the face of the earth. At Revelation chapter sixteen, Verses thirteen

and fourteen, the Bible says, and I saw three unclean spirits like frogs,

coming out of the mouth of the Dragon, out of the mouth of

the beasts, and out of the mouth of the false Prophet. For they

are spirits of demons, performing signs which go out to the kings of the

earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle on that

great day of God Almighty. After these three unclean spirits look like frogs,

symbolically speaking, because frogs jump up and down and all around, and they

make loud noises that no one can understand, with long tongues that catch nothing

but flies. In the Bible, Belziboba, the Lord of the flies,

the Bible says and the Greek that these three unclean spirits synagogue the kings of

the earth. They meet with the kings of the earth together for the battle

of the Great Day of God Almighty, the battle of AMAgeddon. These three

frog like spirits in Revelation sixteen represent the modern charismatic movement, that is,

a demonic movement that moves on people and trust their feelings instead of the clear

word of God. These three evil spirits, like frogs, challenge the three

Angels messages of Revelation fourteen, messages that are built on the authority of the

blasting Gospel, the Bible and the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.

Demons would love to have people leave Bible religion for whatever they feel like

is religion or feel good religion that won't save a soul and pass the Bible

test. There are some people they who feel like all religion leads to God.

That's naive. The modern tongue speaking charismatic movement that was embraced by the

papacy at Vatican Two has expanded into an inefate ecumenicism today, where the tongue

speaking phenomena occurs with Christians alongside others of pagan religions who also speak in tongues,

side by side with professed Christians in large auditoriums and stadiums. This fact

has been well documented many times over at First Corinthians, chapter ten in verse

twenty in verse twenty one, the Bible says, rather that the things which

the gentile sacrifice, they sacrifice to demons and not to God. And I

do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup

of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake up the Lord's

table of the table of demons. At Mark one and thirty five, the

Bible says Jesus was in their synagogue casting out demons. Don't think for a

minute that demons can't come into the church. If you are controlled by a

feel good religion that does not bring even every thought and action into captivity to

the word of God and the will of God, your religion is the wrong

kind of religion. Here's a practical test of true religion. If Jesus cannot

be there with you and feel good about what you're doing, then it's a

good thing to not do it at all. But if He can be there

and bless it with his presence, then it's a good thing for you and

him to do together. You need the Bible and prayer to know the difference

between the holy and the unholy. When Peter confessed that Jesus was the Christ,

in Luke nine and twenty, he was confessing that Jesus is the authority

and the source of Holy Spirit, power of God in his own life.

It doesn't take long to forget something as profound as this when you get excited

about a religious experience, good or bad. Luke nine, Jesus took Peter

up on the mountain with James and John, where Peter saw the glorified Christ,

where he was transfigured into dazzling light in the night. Moses and Elijah

stood on each side of Jesus on the Holy Mountain that night, and Peter

got so excited that he wanted to build a tabnac of for Moses and Elijah

right alongside Jesus. Bad idea. God stopped the light show immediately, and

he told Peter to listen to Jesus because Jesus is the one with the answers.

The Father gave good advice for all of us to stop Peter's nonsense.

At Luke nineteen thirty five, the Bible says, and the boys came out

of the cloud saying, this is my beloved son. Hear him. This

is the background for the story that follows immediately In the narrative, so turn

your bibles to Luke chapter nine. We're gonna look at verses thirty six through

forty Luke chapter nine, verses thirty six through forty, or follow along on

the screen. When the voice had ceased, Jesus was found alone. But

they kept quiet and told no one in those days any of the things they

had seen. Now it happened on the next day, when they had come

down from the mountain, that a great multitude met them, met him.

Suddenly, a man from the multitude cried out, saying, Teacher, I

implore you look at my son, for he is my only child. And

behold, a spirit seizes him, and he suddenly cries out. It convulses

him so that he forms at the mouth, and it departs from him with

great difficulty, bruising him. So I implored your disciples to cast it out,

but they couldn't. Jesus said it Luke nine and verse one. He

had given his disciples power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal

every disease. And that means the devil himself was not strong enough to resist

the authority and power that Christ gave them. A desperate father came to Jesus

seeking help for his son, his only son, and he told Jesus Pliny

that his disciples couldn't cast the demons out and heal his son. In Mark

nine fourteen, Jesus calls Jesus came down the mountain and found his disciples arguing

with the scribes. Demons loved to argue. And you can't cast out demons

if you're arguing with them, You keep them around. By arguing. Demons

stir up strife, and God does not. In the context, there's a

great multitude at the bottom of the mountain that is clueless. The great multitude

was no different. Excuse me that the great multitude was no doubt there because

they saw a light show in the night at the top of the mountain.

Multitudes today are often drawn to bright lights, dramatic displays, and light shows.

When Jesus came down the mountain, he saw a mess of a confusion

all around, the crowd arguing, challenging, posturing, lots of people moving

moving about, confused by the devil, and a desperate father with his only

boy. And Jesus's disciples were there, and they couldn't heal him and cast

out the demons. The verse forty one Luke nine, the Bible says,

Then Jesus answered and said, oh, faithless and perverse general, how long

shall I be with you and bear with you? Bring your son here?

And so the tortured father came to Jesus with his only son, and he

brought him, his tortured son, to the eternal son of God, who

has a father. Also, we parents, we need to realize that we

can't save our children at all. The Church can't save your children. The

pastor can't save your children. And that is why we need to bring our

children to Jesus, because Jesus is the one who saves God. The father

told Peter, James and John on the mountain, this is my beloved son.

Listen to him. When you obey Christ and you start to bring your

child to Jesus, don't be surprised if the demons resist the good effort with

a lot of devilish drama. In the mix at verse forty two, Luke

nine, the Bible says, and he was still coming. The demon threw

him down and convulsed him. Then Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit, healed the

child and gave him back to his father. The Greek reads that the demons

ripped the child like a bird of prey. The demons ripped the child.

That's why demons resemble unclean birds. In the Book of Revelation, demons fly

from the air as they swoop down on your children, and they ripped people

apart and away from Christ. Luke records three actions on Jesus's part in Luke

nine that rescued the boy from the demons. Action number one, Luke,

excuse me. Jesus rebuked the unclean spirit. Action number two, Jesus healed

the child, and action number three Jesus gave the boy back to his father.

Action number one represents the power of Jesus as God when Jesus rebuked the

unclean spirit. In the Bible, God is the only one who can ultimately

rebuke the devil and win the contest of true authority. Zachariah three and two

Bible says, the Lord said to Satan, the Lord rebuke you, Satan,

the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you. Is this not a brand

plucked from the fire a Jude one and nine, the Bible says, Yet

Michael, the archangel, in contending with the devil when he disputed about the

body of Moses, dared not bring against him a reviling accusation, but said,

the Lord rebuke you. Luke doesn't say that God rebuked the demon.

Luke says that Jesus rebuked the demon in that young boy. The disciples have

been arguing at the foot of the mountain, and they were able to rebuke

anything at all. They needed to realize that even though they had been given

power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal every disease, Jesus

is the only one who really gets the work done in the power of the

Holy Spirit. Action number one is the authority of Jesus Christ when he rebuked

the unclean spirit. Action number two is the power of Jesus Christ when he

healed the boy. Jesus had the authority to rebuke the evil demon, but

Jesus also had the power to heal the boy and make him well. In

the Gospel of Mark, Jesus told his disciples that they could not heal the

boy and cast out the demon without praying and fasting. Here, no full

of themselves kind of Christian can get anything from God without a heartfelt humbling in

prayer. To stare down evil. Prayer is the key that unlocks Heaven's treasures,

and the treasure is the Holy Spirit himself. When God blesses us in

Jesus, God gives you and me the Holy Spirit, because the Holy Spirit

is the blessing we need the most. The Bible says it Acts, Chapter

one, verse eight. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has

come upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me in Jerusalem and in

all Judare and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. There is

no power to heal without the Holy Spirit in your life. The Spirit himself,

as Paul calls him in Romans eight sixteen. In Romans eight twenty six,

is God's power to save us. In the Gospel from the law of

sin and death and every trial of life. When we feel separated from God,

our abba Father, Jesus cast out demons by the finger of God in

a peril place, it says, he cast out demons by the Holy Spirit,

because the Holy Spirit is the finger of God. At actually, say

eight nineteen, the magicians of Pharaoh realize that Moses is Rod represented the finger

of God. Moses struck the mighty Egyptian empire and Pharaoh, also with the

Holy Spirit's finger of God power. The Holy Spirit is a rod, the

rod of power that can smack a demon down and free a child, and

comfort a father and heal the boy. The rod of God can discipline,

and as the Rod of God, he can also comfort us. The Bible

teaches us that God has both a rod and a staff to comfort us.

The staff of God is Jesus Christ, who holds the righteous scepter of God's

kingdom as God, the son to God the Father. In Hebrews One a

Jesus called the Holy Spirit another comforter in John fourteen, verse sixteen seventeen,

the Spirit of God. Here's what it says. And I will pray the

Father, and he shall give you another comforter, that he may abide with

you forever, even the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive because

it seeth him not neither knoweth him. But you know him, for He

dwells with you and shall be in you. At Psalms twenty three and verse

four, David says, God's wrought in God's staff, they comfort me.

Psalms twenty three and verse four. YEA, though I walk through the value

of the shadow of death. I would fear no evil, for thou art

with me that rather in thy staff they comfort me Isaiah, chapter forty and

verse one. Comfort, Yes, comfort, my people, says your God.

God the Father sent Jesus, his son with the shepherd's staff destined for

the Messiah in the kingly line of Judah. God the Father and Jesus's son

sent the Holy Spirit as his rod of power to defeat the evil spirits.

In the Gospelly era, both Jesus and the Holy Spirit are comforters and counselors

as they deliver the save. As they deliver and save together the person in

need of God, they work together to get it done. Jesus is the

staff as the moral authority of God, and the Holy Spirit is the power,

the wrod of God, and together they are double trouble for any demon

that would destroy a child of God, and a double comfort for anyone in

need of God. When this miracle was done by Jesus in the power of

the Holy Spirit, the people all knew that Jesus got it done, and

they knew that Jesus was God to get it done that day Luke nineteen forty

three records, and they were all amazed at the majesty of God. But

while everyone marveled at the things which Jesus did, why not let Jesus do

the same kind of thing in your life and in your children's lives. Also.

Jesus has given us authority and power in the power of the Spirit in

Jesus's name, to be healed and to heal. So go in Jesus's name

and by faith get it done for God in Jesus's name. Live in the

joy of the authority and the power of God. Let us pray their Heavenly

Father. But we know, as the closing scenes of times happened upon us,

that the devil's cross here is focus on the last bastion of hope.

This movement lod to do everything the anhiesist of God, everything the anthesist of

Love, to this unite and to separate and to bring devastation and destruction.

But Father, we know that faith in the One God and the one faith

in the One Baptism is intended to bring unity and love and peace in the

Church. Whoever we find this unity and separation couldnot be of God. Father,

help us to stay the onslaught and the attacks from the enemy to bring

destruction and disunity to this movement. Truth of your word find light and give

men cause to live by the spirit in faith and to come into unity.

But Father, we know that there would always be variance in the thoughts as

their influence. But we know we serve a powerful God who is able to

cleanse the conscience and put truth in there if we do so by faith.

So bless this congregation, Father, with your spirit, to stand in faith

through trials in Jesus' name. Amen, Amen, Amen,
