Dear Father God. We need Jesus bad so that will be good. We
-
don't know how much of Seventh the avenis we need him, but we need
-
him a lot. And we need the real Christ, not a fake one.
-
So help us to see Christ and the Sign and the seal, to
-
know who he is and not be deceived. In Jesus' name, Amen,
-
the title of my message this morning is the Sign and the Seal. It
-
is about the Sabbath, but more than that, it's about Jesus. How
-
many times have we spoken of the Sabbath and we left Jesus out of the
-
mix. Is it possible to do that to get the right day but missed
-
the right person. Now I'm gonna quiz you who is the Lord of the
-
Sabbath in the Bible? Christ is now? In the ancient Akkadian Jewish world,
-
a personal seal with a person's name was used to authenticate a document or
-
an agreement or a letter by placing the name of the owner of the seal
-
on the seal, and thus when the seal was impressed in either wax or
-
was put into clay, it authenticated the document. It made the agreement firm
-
because the identity of the name on the seal was certain. In the ancient
-
world, there were cylinder seals used on rolled clay and simpler seals that were
-
placed on a ring. There were two different kinds of seals. I want
-
to show you some slides of these. Here on the screen. Ancient Akkadian
-
cylinder seal. You see it on the left. You see the clay.
-
When it's rolled out, it creates that message that you see which contains the
-
name of the author of the seal. Go to the next slide. You
-
see it again where it's rolled out. Here a copy of a cylinder seal
-
is rolled out. To show you that we can do this today. Continue,
-
here's a picture of an ancient seal. Continue, it's a cylinder seal.
-
There's another cylinder seal from the Acadian uh with the Akkadian language in it,
-
ancient Babylonian. Next there is is a little bit more. You can
-
see it, very nicely done seal. Move to the next slide. Another
-
one rolled out. You can get all that out of a seal. Continue,
-
see some of the images that has the name of the person of the
-
seal on it. Next slide, move to the next one. Now this
-
is a ring seal that was that's from ancient Judea, was found in Jerusalem.
-
Has the name of the person on the seal. Moved to the next
-
slide. Here's the same here's another one. Another picture of that. And
-
so when they took that ring, they'd put it into clay or whatever wax
-
and it would seal the name of the person in the document. Move to
-
the next slide. The next here's another one. It has the prints of
-
the city on it. The title of the person is on the seal.
-
Move to the next one. A little close up of that same thing.
-
It says literally the saw hot ear, which is the prince of the city
-
in Hebrew, so you know who it is, the prince of the city.
-
When he put his ring down and he pressed it into clay, and
-
that was on a document or something, it meant the prince of the city
-
he had authorized it. And here's another one, says ed and I who
-
asher alhabit. The name of the person is closed right there on the seal.
-
Keep moving so much like a modern signature, ancient seals had the primary
-
purpose of transferring the owner's name to a legal document. Are you with me?
-
The owner's name goes to the legal document an authentic seal before the name
-
of the owner of the seal. It bore the name of the owner of
-
the seal. It was the proof of the identity, of the authenticity of
-
the person making the area, agreement or the covenant. And if you were
-
the owner of the seal, you are the person named on the seal.
-
That's why a seal is so important in the Bible. When the Bible speaks
-
of the seal of God, God's name, God's identity is in play.
-
The wicked queen Jezebel took her husband Ahab's seal, and she wrote letters in
-
his name to have the vineyard of Nay both seized, and they both killed.
-
So she took the seal, she stole it, and she misrepresented him.
-
And so in first King twenty one ver say you have the story.
-
She wrote letters in Aheb's name, sealed them with his seal, and she
-
sent the letters to the elders and the nobles who dwelt with Nay both in
-
his city. And she wrote in the letters, proclaim a fast and set
-
Nay both on high among the people, and set two base fellows opposite him,
-
and let them bring a charge against him, saying you have cursed God
-
and the King, then take him out and stone him to the death.
-
Was that a proper use of a seal? Yes or no? No,
-
it was a misuse of the seal. So key pointing to umber one,
-
I have three key points here. I want to just right up front give
-
you Number one. No one can take God's seal from God and replace it
-
with another seal. Correct, No one has the right to do that.
-
Number two. Key point number two, God's seal must bear God's name and
-
you must be God himself to be the owner of God's seal. Does that
-
make sense? God's name on God's seal? Key point number three. The
-
lord of God's seal must be God himself, or he cannot be the lord
-
of the seal. So if you're the lord of the seal, who must
-
you be? God? That's right. In the Bible, God's seal will
-
be placed on the foreheads of God's people at the time of the end,
-
just before Jesus returns. God's seal is not some barcode conspiracy interacting with the
-
mark of the beast. It's not some secret society symbol that somehow appears at
-
the end and you got it, and you know some secret code. God's
-
seal authenticates God's name, and thus the seal points to the authority, the
-
legitimacy, the identity and ownership of God in our lives. So if we
-
have the Seal of the Living God, we have God's name, God's identity
-
in our lives, his rule. Is it important to have the Seal of
-
God? Yes? Or no? It would for those reasons. If God's
-
seal revised resides on your forehead, then God himself is truly in your mind
-
as king. His name is written on your forehead. Revelation seven one to
-
three. Let's take our bibles and turn there. After these things, I
-
saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding the four
-
winds of the Earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth on
-
the sea for any tree, goes on to say, after these things,
-
I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal. What does
-
it say in the Bible, the seal of who the Living God? So
-
God's not dead, God's not God on God's alive, the seal of the
-
Living God. And he cried with a loud voice to the four angels to
-
whom it was granted to harm the earth and the sea, Verse three,
-
saying, do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees till we
-
have sealed. Now, this is amazing, the servants of God on their
-
foreheads at the very end of time. There's a paradox and a challenge for
-
God in behalf of his people. On the one hand, the servants of
-
God who are Christians are indeed his people. They belong to God, and
-
the angels are holding back the four winds of strife because God loves his people
-
all over the world, millions of Christians. But here's the paradox. On
-
the other hand, these servants of God are not ready for the second coming
-
of Christ. They're not ready for the time of the end because they do
-
not have the Seal of the Living God on their foreheads. Isn't that what
-
it's getting out here? Hold off, wait, the servants of God God
-
need the seal. So what does God do for his people, his servants
-
who do not have the seal, who do not have the seal? He
-
has four angels here holding back the winds of strife at the time of so
-
the time of trouble doesn't come, so that men and women everywhere have a
-
chance to receive the seal of the Living God. So is God merciful in
-
Revelation seven? Yes? Or no? Extremely merciful. So I asked the
-
question, what is this seal of God that the servants of God desperately need
-
at the time of the end. Would you like to note today? Okay,
-
let's you're gonna need your Bible. You're gonna need a notepad. If
-
you don't get it all, you go on line to YouTube, you follow
-
the message up. This is a very important topic, especially as we live
-
on the eve of the mark of the Beast and Bible prophecy. To answer
-
this question, let us take note of the fact that the ceiling Angel of
-
Revelation seven is coming from the rising of the sun. In the Greek language,
-
any translations will just say the east. The rise of the sun is
-
the Greek way of saying the east in relation seven to three. The Ceilian
-
angel is coming from the direction of the east. Now, when we begin
-
our day, what's the beginning of the day, the west or the east?
-
The east? Have you ever heard of the expression the dawn of time?
-
What does that mean? It means the ancient past, the beginning of
-
time, so the east is a natural metaphor for the start of something or
-
antiquity. In the Hebrew Bible, the word east is often used to mean
-
the ancient past. The Hebrew word is hetem, and from the east mahetam
-
may may olam is used in Micah five to two to describe where Christ came
-
from. Let's look at the verse. But you, o, Bethlehem of
-
Fratha, who are little to be among the clans of Judah, from you
-
shall come forth from me, one who's to the ruler in Israel, whose
-
origin is from of old. Now the Hebrew is maheeram, from the east,
-
from ancient days, literally from days of eternity, so you can go
-
back forever. And the Christ who came to Bethlehem came to us from forever,
-
not from some beginning, but from eternity, from the east, the
-
ancient past. And the same phrase mahatim is using Genesis to eight. And
-
the Lord God planted a garden in Eden in the east, but that's not
-
how the Hebrew reads. Literally, from the east, he planted the guard,
-
identical to Micah five two, which means he planeted it from the ancient
-
past. A preexistent world, a pre existent universe. God put a holy
-
place here that goes beyond the creation of the earth. And there heaven and
-
Earth met in a place called Eden, and there he put the man whom
-
he had formed. The word Eden is used in the Aramaic of the Book
-
of Daniel for a time, times and the dividing of times. Han't you
-
been online watched Elder John's presentations on prophecy. Raise your hand high, okay,
-
good, give me a second here. Thank you for putting them online.
-
Angels in the Glen dot Org. Now the word to eaten is using
-
the Aramaic for a time, times and inviting times. The arame goes dan,
-
the UF flagidon adon va adenin the uflagidon a time times and divide in
-
times. Why because the antichrist little hornpower would think to change times and law
-
in Satan's focused attack on God's holy Sabbath day. And so when that little
-
horn thinks to change times in law, we have the word for Eden right
-
in there in the Book of Daniel. When you attacked the Sabbath, you
-
speak out again against God Most High, look at you. On seven twenty
-
five. Now here's the prophecy that predicted in the Middle Ages that the seventh
-
day Sabbath would be attacked by the antichrist, little horned power that would take
-
the place of the Son of Man. Would you serve authority in the church
-
in the Middle Ages and would claim to change the law of God, specifically
-
the law of images in the Second Commandment, and also the Fourth Commandment,
-
which is the Sabbath Commandment. The only commandment of God says remember that is
-
the one they forgot. And Daniel predicted at Daniel seven twenty five, he
-
shall speak words against the most High, shall wear out the saints the most
-
high. He shall thank to change what change what? What does your Bible
-
say? Thank to change times and law? And they should be given it
-
as hand for a time, times in half a time literally and Eden to
-
Eden's and happened Eden. The word Eden literally means an appointed time. The
-
ancient Babylonian word adn knu with the ooh Akadian case ending that word means a
-
fixed set sacred time, often determined by astronomical principles. So the garden of
-
Eden the gan adon in Hebrew means literally the garden of the appointed time.
-
So when we have Eden the Bible. What shows up as soon as we
-
have Eden, What a pointed time do we have? In Genesis do we
-
have the seventh day Sabbath? The holy place in the east called Eden,
-
at the very dawn of time was the holy garden of God that God planted
-
from the east for his Sabbath day fellowship with the whole human race. Thus
-
Eden became the first physical sanctuary in space at the dawn of time, and
-
the Sabbath became the eternal day of worship as God's temple in time at the
-
dawn of time from the East in the garden of Eden, the garden of
-
the Appointed Time. And so Eden and Sabbath are fused. In the Book
-
of Genesis, the word Sabbath and Hebrew can be divided into three words that
-
mean eternal Father's house, sanctuary in time, a temple in time for the
-
place called Eden, the garden of the Appointed Time. Sabbath commandment has found
-
in the heart of God's law, pointing to God himself as the king of
-
the universe. It has his name in it. God himself is the creer
-
of the world. It has his name in it. And God himself is
-
the Holy one who has the legal, moral, and relational claim for worship
-
and ultimate spiritual authority in our lives. The Sabbath is not just the right
-
day. The Sabbath is the day that has all the characteristics of a covenant
-
seal within the covenant of God's holy Law, his eternal law, and the
-
Bible of seal is a sign and a sign as a seal. Some people
-
say, how do you know that, Well, I read my Bible.
-
They are the same thing when they relate to the covenant of the Law of
-
God. So if I have the seal of God, I have the sign
-
of God. They are the same thing. Let me prove it to you
-
with an example from the book Romans. Romans four eleven. It says he
-
received circumcision, that this is not the eternal covenant. This is not the
-
creation covenant. It's the Abrahamic Covenant. But notice the relationship of a sign
-
to a seal. He received circumcision as a what what does it say in
-
your Bible as a sign or a seal of the righteousness which you had by
-
faith, which he was still while he was still uncircumcised. The purpose was
-
to make him the father of all who believe without being circumcised, and who
-
thus have righteousness reckoned to them. So in this verse makes it very clear.
-
A sign in a covenant is also a seal in a covenant. Now
-
we know that the Ten Commandments is a covenant. We also know that it
-
reflects the most ancient covenant, which is the Everlasting Covenant. So you have
-
to have a sign or a seal in a covenant which authenticates the legal document.
-
This covenant was the covenant Circumcisions, I said, and Circumcisions was both
-
a sign and seal. But Circumcision was not the old oldest covenant or the
-
most important coven in the Bible, the oldest, oldest covenant. I'm going
-
to ask you what do you think the oldest covenants called in the Bible?
-
What would be the name of it? You had to guess It's easy.
-
The Everlasting Covenant, is that right? The Eternal Covenant, the eternal Covenant.
-
Friends, I'm going to state a forthrightly, is God's name that is
-
God's law because God's law and God's name are the same thing, and it
-
is eternal. Did you hear what he just said, God's name, God's
-
law, same thing. So when we speak of the law of God.
-
We're not talking about rules on a page. We're talking about the character of
-
God in his heart. He is his law. You know the very first
-
words of patriarchs and prophets. How many times will we read over them?
-
The Conflict series begins with God's Love. It ends with God is love.
-
God is love, she says his nature. His law is love, has
-
ever been and will ever be. That's the everlasting covenant. Who God is
-
his law eternal, the eternal Covenant Jude Aromy four thirteen. At Sinai,
-
God told us what his covenant is. And he declared to you his covenant,
-
which he commanded you to perform. That is what what does it call
-
it? Here? The Ten Commandments? And he wrote them upon two tables
-
of stone. Stone is solid, stable and fixed. How many of you
-
have granted countertops at your house? Yeah? Granted? Now, ladies,
-
how many of you would rather have granted than for Micah? Raise your hand,
-
honestly high, Do not you'd rather have for Micah? How many hands
-
went up? Three or four? Granted? Raise your hands for Micah?
-
Got one? Two? You got two? In the back? Bless you
-
all with granted, will work with you get with you with for Micah.
-
Okay, Look, stone is solid, stable and fixed. It's permanent.
-
Well, my wife has challenged that thesis a little bit. She WHACKX a
-
little bit with her knife on the edge of it. So we got some
-
chips. But you know what, my wife is worth a lot more than
-
granted. I learned to repair it because she's precious. Now, when God
-
chose a stone to represent his law, it's the blue sapphire stone that God
-
was standing on the top of Mount Sinai, and it represents Jesus Christ.
-
True blue. The color of the law. The throne of God is blue
-
sapphire Psalms one hundred, nineteen fifty five. Now, notice that God's name
-
in God's Law same thing. I remember thy name in the night, Oh
-
Lord, and I keep thy wi thy law. So if you remember God's
-
name, what are you really doing? You're keeping his law. God's name,
-
God's law, same thing Genesis twenty one thirty three. And the question
-
is how long does God's name last? Is it just here and there?
-
Or what Abraham planted Tamars tree in Beersheba and called there on the name of
-
the Lord. Do you see that in your Bible. Lord, how is
-
it spelled in your bible capel l kepel o keppel r kepel d. Now
-
every time you see it that way in your Bible, that is Yahweh Jehovah.
-
It is the sacred name given to Moses. And out SINAI, God
-
says that name means I am who I am Yahweh. The Lord means I
-
am who I am? That's his name, I am who I am.
-
And notice it says there he called on the name of Yahweh Jehovah. I
-
am who I am God, the everlasting God. Now how long has God
-
been here for eternity? How long will God be for eternity? So how
-
long does God's name last? I am who I am forever, from the
-
past into the future. So if you have the name of Yahweh, you're
-
an eternal being. Am I right? Am? I correct? Okay?
-
Now the name of God used here is the Lord with all capital letters.
-
Now brought out what that means, and he means, I am who I
-
am jeh Jehovah Yahweh. That's another way of saying that God's name is God's
-
character in God's nature and Malachi three to six, God tells us that he
-
does not change. As God. His character is fixed. His moral nature
-
is unchangeable. It is consistent forever. Now there are some people say,
-
well, you know the law of God was nailed to the cross. Do
-
you ever hear that law of God has nailed across? Only one? Problem
-
with that? And then he says, done away with at least parts of
-
it, the parts we don't like. The problem with that is God is
-
his law. Now, God can change. His law is fickle right.
-
It can be applied here and differently there. Look at Malachi three six.
-
God is speaking for I the Lord. It's YAHWEH, L, O,
-
R, D, all capital letters, Jehovah. Do not change. Therefore
-
you o, sons of Jacob, what does it say? Consumed? The
-
fact that God cannot change is good for us. The fact that his law
-
is eternal and fixed is four are good. God's eternal character. In God's
-
eternal nature and law never ever change. And that is why God is consistently
-
merciful, consistently long suffering and kind, and also just in just the right
-
mix, so that mercy is the greater measure of his divine character. While
-
he is still a God of justice who will destroy the evil in the end
-
as the final mercy act of a loving, merciful God. Who is I
-
am? Who I am? I do not change. I am consistent as
-
a moral being, the everlasting covenant friends. In this sense is God's name,
-
and that eternal name Yahweh Jehovah, has always been in the eternal heart
-
of Jesus. Now hear me, because Jesus is Yahweh Jehovah, God two
-
in the one God. I'll prove that to you. I mean number two
-
here just too. He has the name by right Nextus thirty four six and
-
seven. When God revealed his glory to Moses, he proclaimed his divine name
-
Yahweh, Yahweh, the Lord, the Lord twice, a God who is
-
merciful and kind, the bounty in steadfast love and mercy, but who will
-
no means clear the guilty. God's name and God's glory cannot belong to anyone
-
but God, Jehovah Yahweh, God, the Lord God. And that's what
-
God says of himself. Turned to Isaiah forty eight, Verses eleven and twelve.
-
For my own sake, For my own sake, I do it,
-
for how should my name be profaned my glory I will not give to another.
-
Hearken to me, Oh Jacob and Israel, whom I have called I
-
am, he I am the first and the last. So what does God
-
call himself here? In verse twelve? I am, though what the first
-
and the last? In the book Revelation, God the Father will say that
-
in Revelation one of himself. He'll say it a couple other places, but
-
in Revelation twenty two, Jesus says this of himself, I am the first
-
and the last. I am the alpha and the omega. And the early
-
Christians would use alpha omega as the symbol for Christ. That's the language of
-
Yahweh Jehovah God in the Old Testament Isaiah forty four to six. Now here
-
becomes more clear, Thus says the Lord. And now look at this first,
-
that's Jehovah, all capital letters Lord, the king of the King of
-
Israel. That's God, the Father and his redeemer. And notice his title,
-
the Lord of Hosts. Now that's capital letters L R D. That's
-
Jehovah. So both the King of Israel and his redeemer, who's Jesus is
-
Yahweh the Lord. In Isaiah and they speak as one, I am the
-
first, and I am the last. Besides me, there is no God.
-
Now go down to Genesis forty eight fifteen, when Jacob was blessing his
-
grandchildren. He knew who Jesus was. He recognized him because he had fought
-
with him, and in the struggle of the night he prevailed, and his
-
name was changed. The pre existent Christ had taken the form of the Angel
-
of the Lord, the messenger from the Lord who is the Lord, who
-
is Jehovah. And he blessed Joseph and said, the God before whom my
-
fathers, Abraham and Isaac walk, the God who has led me all my
-
life long to this day. Now is that the God of creation? Yes?
-
Or no? Is the God who led Abraham, the God of Jenesis
-
one bedshet Badharah Eloheim in the beginning? God? Is that the same god?
-
Okay sixteen the Angel you see now, he said, the God.
-
But then he moved right to the the Angel Ah, the Angel who has
-
redeemed me from all evil. Blessed the lads. The God that had led
-
him was the Angel of the Lord. He clearly said. And this is
-
like the burnie when the Lord sees Moses. The Angel of the Lord calls
-
out to Moses. Because the Angel of the Lord is the Lord and the
-
Angel. When Abraham raised his hand to heaven to kill his son, the
-
Angel the Lord called from heaven, saying, now I know you fear God,
-
seeing you have not withheld your only son from me. The Angel the
-
Lord was Yahweh, an angel form, the messenger of Yahweh. Is Yahweh,
-
the God who has led me all my life long to this day,
-
the Angel who has redeemed me. Now who's the redeemer. It's in a
-
sense the Father and the Son. But here it's the Angel who has redeemed
-
me from all evil. Bless the lads, and in them let my name
-
be perpetuated. And in them let my name be the name of my father's
-
Abraham and Isaac, and let them grow in a multitude in the midst of
-
the earth. The Angel the Lord he redeemed Jacob was God in angel form,
-
before he was the Angel of the Lord, who is the Lord.
-
That eternal being was Jesus Christ, the Redeemer Yahweh, Lord God in Angel
-
form Isaiah sixty three nine. In all of their affliction, he was afflicted
-
and the Angel of his what what does it call it? Here his presence?
-
If this being shows up, God shows up. That's why he's the
-
Angel of His presence. He saved them, He's the Savior, and in
-
his love and his pity he redeemed them. He lifted them up and carried
-
them all the days of old. He was the good shepherd. That's why
-
David will say, Yahweh is my shepherd. The Lord is my shepherd.
-
Is the redeeming One, the redeeming Angel Galatians three thirteen. Now here's the
-
New Testament applies this word redeemer. Christ redeemed us from the curse of the
-
law. What does the text say there? Who redeemed Christ? Having become
-
a curse for us? For it is written everyone who hangs on a tree,
-
Christ redeemed us. Why because Jesus is Yahweh Jehovah God, and nothing
-
less than that will redeem you from the curse of the law. And John
-
seventeen, Jesus tells us that he legitimate. He possesses the name and the
-
glory that belong only to the One True God. And that is why Jesus
-
says in John seventeen to three. That eternal life is to know the One
-
True God and Jesus Christ, whom thou has sinned. That is the reason
-
why Jesus has the divine credentials to die on the cross to save us from
-
our sins. That is why Jesus can be the way to God as the
-
way, the truth and the life. Because Jesus is God. He is
-
God. God didn't put a demi god on the cross. You guys know
-
what a demi god is. You think of some demi gods in Greek mythology.
-
Zeus is one, you know, came from Cronos and all that.
-
God didn't put a demi god on the cross of Calvary. A demi god
-
like Zeus, Pollo for Odin, or any other demi god who is birthed
-
in time or before time, or who emanated from God to become a god.
-
That's how the gods showed up in pagan religions. It's a pagan idea
-
to become God. That way to birth a god from God is not what
-
the Bible teaches, and then worship him after he's created. The Bible and
-
the Spirit of Prophecy teaches clearly that Jesus has always been God. He's always
-
been with God, one in the Father and one with the Fathers. From
-
all eternity. It has always been this way. Now I'm want to prove
-
it to you desire Age's page nineteen, Spirit of Prophecy. But that's slide
-
on the screen. Thank you. His name should be called Emmanuel God with
-
us. The light of the knowledge of the glory God is seen in the
-
face of Jesus Christ. Now here's the blue. The days of eternity,
-
the Lord Jesus Christ was one with the Father. He was the image of
-
God, the image of his greatness and majesty, the outshining of his glory.
-
So how long back was Jesus this, according to her statement from the
-
days of eternity, there's no beginning to this relationship, is what she's saying.
-
He was the image of God, the image of his greatness and majesty.
-
He has always been the outshining of his glory. God has never been
-
dark. The light that comes from the Father is Christ. It has always
-
been that way. It was to manifest this glory that he came to our
-
world, to the sin darkened earth. He came to reveal the light of
-
God's love to be what what does she call him to be? God with
-
us? Therefore was prophesied of him. His name should be called Emmanuel.
-
She's working right out of the Bible here, very good use of the Bible.
-
Now, I think perhaps the most important document that Eli White has ever
-
produced on this topic. Write this down in your note review. In Herald
-
April five, nineteen oh six, she summarizes in a sense her work in
-
Patriarchs and Prophets, where she interacts with Proverbs eight. She summarizes her work
-
in John one after the tsire of Ages. It's really a magnificent completion of
-
her understanding life, understanding of who Jesus is. And I'm going to read
-
three paragraphs of this because it's amazing. But while God's word speaks of the
-
humanity of Christ when upon the earth, it also speaks decidedly regarding his pre
-
existence. So she's saying the Bible doesn't leave this for doubt. Here the
-
word, now, how is the word spelled in her writing there capitalized just
-
or no. That's because it's Jesus. The word existed as a divine being
-
even as the what she calls him, the eternal Son of God, as
-
a divine, being a person. He was always the eternal son of God,
-
she says, in union and oneness with his Father, from everlasting.
-
Now this is amazing. He was the mediator of the covenant, from how
-
long back eternity in the past, he was always the mediator of the covenant,
-
the one in whom all nations of the earth, both Jews and Gentiles,
-
if they accepted him, were to be blessed. Now, she quotes
-
John one, the word was with God. The word was God before men
-
or angels were created. The word was with God and was God. She's
-
right in sync with John one one moved to the next paragraph. The world
-
was made by him, and without him was not anything made that was made.
-
She's quoting John one one. And if Christ made all things, she
-
writes, he existed. And what does it say before all things? The
-
words spoken in regards to this are so decisive that no one need be left
-
in doubt. Christ was God, essentially, writes and in the highest sense
-
he was God from all eternity, God over all blessed forevermore. Now you
-
see I put that in red there? Do you see that that statement is
-
a direct quote from Romans nine to five, where she's applying that verse to
-
Jesus eternal deity. Moved to the next page. Nope, go back,
-
Yes, next light, the Lord Jesus Christ, the divine Son of God,
-
existed from what does she say? Eternity? But how did he exist
-
from eternity? A distinct person, yet one with a father. So when
-
we speak of the personhood of Jesus as the second person the God had,
-
according to sister White, that was from eternity. And look what she says
-
next. He was the surpassing glory of heaven. He was the commander of
-
the heaven intelligence, and the Adora car homage of the angels was received by
-
him as his right. This was no robbery of God. And then she
-
quotes Proverbs eight, which is often used by people. Honestly, so who
-
don't understand Proverbs eight. They argue that Christ was born in eternity based on
-
their misreading Proverbs eight. Look how sister White reads this, and I can't
-
read the whole article to you, But she says this was no robbery of
-
God. Then she quotes Proverbs eight. The Lord possessed me in the beginning
-
of his way, he declares, before his works of old, I was
-
set up from her lasting from the beginning, or even the earth was.
-
Now, that's how she interpreted those scriptures. She affirmed that Jesus was a
-
distinct person, second person of the God had from all eternity co equal with
-
the Father in the highest sense. So a view that departs from that you
-
really have to throw the spirit of prophecy out to get there. You can't
-
take a text in her writings out of context. She seals her understanding with
-
that very clear state as she approaches the end of her life, so we
-
are in no confusion about where she's coming from. So in one Corinthians five
-
nineteen, Paul says God was in Christ on the cross, dying for our
-
sins, reconciling us to himself. And Ephesians four three two Paul says that
-
God in Christ forgave us on the cross because no one less than God is
-
good enough to save us. The one who made us saved us. Christ
-
is God, because Jesus says in John fourteen ten that the Father is and
-
the Son, and the Son is in the Father. Friend. God gave
-
God on the cross of Calvary, and nothing less from God can atone for
-
the broken law of God won't work. So if you have an inadequate Christ,
-
you have no cross, no atonement, no freedom from sin. We
-
are still in our sins. God gave God on the cross. God was
-
in Christ as nature, as law is, love, has ever been,
-
ever will be. It was in Jesus hanging on the cross. God said
-
to Moses and the bush, I am who I am is my name and
-
God's law and God's name, or the same thing as God says in Psalms
-
one hundred, nineteen fifty five. So when Jesus die on the cross,
-
the living Lord, the living Law of God, died on the cross for
-
our sins. Do you get that? That's why Jesus' death is good enough
-
to wash away our sins by his blood the law of God in Jesus,
-
that is, Jesus atoned for the broken law of God. It wasn't the
-
law that was broken at the cross. It was the Son of God broken.
-
Just like Moses took the tables of the Law and he threw them and
-
broke them at the foot of the mountain. Christ was broken, and we
-
break bread to symbolize the brokenness of Christ. If Jesus is in God,
-
friends, you have a weak cross that doesn't save you one lick. And
-
you have a non savior who did not atone for the broken law of God
-
because he's unable to. And that means you are still in your sins with
-
no atonement for the judgment day. This is why the subject matters. On
-
the cross, the law of God was shattered because Jesus' body, Jesus' heart,
-
God's heart was broken because of our sins. Don't let anyone tell you
-
that any part of God's tend commandment law is done away with. Have you
-
ever heard that? Don't let him say that to you. I mean,
-
they can say it, but don't believe it. And don't let anyone get
-
you to believe that Jesus is not God for real, because that's just as
-
bad. God didn't nail his holy, perfect Law to the cross. God
-
knailed to the cross, the lawgiver. He nailed the law, the living
-
Law, who is the Law of Love, bleeding out for the sins of
-
the world, making peace with his precious blood, the blood of the ever
-
lasting Covenant on the cross Hebrews thirteen twenty. Now may the God of Peace
-
who brought again from the dead, our Lord, Jesus the Great shepherd of
-
the sheep, by the blood of what what does it call it? Here?
-
Of the Eternal Covenant, God's name, God's law. It's ever been
-
so. When Jesus died, he couldn't shed the blood of the eternal covent
-
unless he's God. And so he God bled out and died in Jesus twenty
-
one to equip you with everything good that you may do as will. That's
-
the ten Commandment's working in you, that which is pleasing in sight through Jesus
-
Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever Amen. Jesus' blood could not
-
ratify the Eternal Covenant as God's law and name, as the Book of Hebrew
-
says, unless God's seal is on the Son of God. Turn me to
-
the John six twenty six and twenty seven. Our children read it. It
-
was also here read this morning beautifully in our scripture reading thank you. Jesus
-
answered them, truly, truly, I say to you, you seek me
-
not because you saw signs, but because you ate your feel of the loves.
-
Some people come to churches just for the potlucks. Some people come to
-
churches just where you can get out of the church. That happened to Christ
-
too. But he says, look, this is what matters. In verse
-
twenty seven, do not labor for the food which parises, but for the
-
food which endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give to
-
you. And here's the key phrase, for on him God, the Father
-
has set his seal. So who possesses the seal the living God? According
-
to this verse, Jesus Christ does seal of God that belongs to God belongs
-
to Jesus Christ. Also, because Jesus is God, Jesus is the lord
-
of the seal. Remember that a sign and a seal are the same thing
-
in Romans. For eleven, God sign is God seal Exodus thirty one thirteen.
-
Now Here is his sign and seal identified in scripture. Say to the
-
people of Israel, you shall keep my sabbaths, for this is what What
-
does it say? It is a sign between me and you throughout your generations,
-
that you may know something that I What does it say? In other
-
words, you may know me my name the Lord Yeahweh Jehovah all capital letters
-
sanctifies you. We are set apart by the knowledge of God. The sabbath
-
is the sign that God is Yahweh, the eternal God, the Loving God,
-
the God who is law. The sacred name of the Lord, Yahweh
-
Jehovah is God's Law, God's eternal covenant. I am who I am?
-
So how do we know God by his personal name? God said he gave
-
He gave the Sabbath as a sign so we'd know him as Yahweh. The
-
Sabbath is the creation covenant NEXTUS thirty one. In fact, the words seven
-
and Hebrew means oath, and it's used synonymously with covenant in Genesis twenty one,
-
when Abraham dug the well there at Bearsheba, which means well of the
-
seven or well of the oath. The Sabbath is also in the context of
-
the Bible, not just the creation covenant when He made the covenant creation,
-
but it is the sign of the eternal covenant that is God's name, God's
-
law, his character. Remember that a seal must bear the name of the
-
one who owns the seal. The Sabbath is the sign and seal of the
-
everlasting Covenant, as it bears God's name, his credent, his identity,
-
his claim on our lives. In worship and obedience, The Sabbath is the
-
only command which God says remembered, because it's the only one in which they
-
deliberately forgot it. In the Christian world, the servants of God across the
-
world no longer keep it. Let's look at Exodes twenty verses eight through eleven.
-
Remember the Sabbath day. That's like saying, remember our anniversary? Have
-
you ever forgotten your wife's anniversary? I have erred in this way before,
-
and there is lots of grief that follows. I must say, okay,
-
because my precious wife is deserving of a good memory. Right, remember the
-
Sabbath day to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor and do all
-
they work? But the seventh day is the Sabbath of who. Now here's
-
the name within the Covenant seal? What does it say? The Lord thy
-
God? And how is Lord spelled there cab It's Jehovah Yahweh. So the
-
Sabbath belongs to who, Jehovah Yahweh, Lord God. In it, thou
-
shalt not do any work. Thou are and a son or their daughter,
-
the manserve and their maid servant, they cattle. Are they strangers within their
-
gates? For in six days. What does it say the Lord, the
-
Lord made heaven and earth. It's Jehovah Yahweh. It's capitalized the see and
-
all that is in and the rest of the seventh day. Where for the
-
Lord Jehovah Yahweh again blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it. Now you will
-
find the word Yahweh used three times in the Sabbath commandment, not one,
-
not two, three times. Verse ten says, but the seventh day is
-
the Sabbath of Yahweh alahen the Lord thy God. That means you have to
-
be the Lord with all capital letters Jehovah Yahweh God, to be the Lord
-
of the Sabbath. Am I right. Jesus has these divine credentials to be
-
the Lord thy God of the Sabbath day. This is why what he says
-
in Matthew Mark and Lucas Radical Matthew twelve eight. For the son of Man
-
is lord even of the Sabbath. Mark. Therefore, the son of Man
-
is also lord of the Sabbath Luke six five. And he said to them,
-
the son of Man is also a lord of the Sabbath. Friends of
-
Jesus is lord of the Sabbath, and this statement applies to him in the
-
Fourth Commandment, Verse ten of Exodus twenty. But the seventh day is the
-
Sabbath of the Lord thy God. Christ is nothing less than the Lord thy
-
God. To make the claim he did three times in the Gospels, the
-
seal of God that vallitates God's law is the Sabbath. And God has his
-
seal upon the son of Man. Because God's name God's law are in Jesus,
-
the Son of Man, and the book of Genesis. As soon as
-
you have the Sabbath day appear on the seventh day, the divine name Yahweh
-
or Jehovah spelled as the Lord in all capital letters appears for the very first
-
time, glued to the Sabbath day. Just like the mark of the beast
-
is glued to the name of the beast in Revelation is a counterfeit. You
-
have the Sabbath day glued to the name Jehovah. It appears for the very
-
first time when the Sabbath comes online. Look at Genesis two to one.
-
Thus the heavens of the earth were finished and all the host of them.
-
And on the seventh day, God in his work what she had done,
-
he rests in the seventh day. The word seven means oath day. That's
-
the covenant day from all his work which he had made, and God blessed
-
the seventh day, which means in Hebrew the oath day or covenant day.
-
He's safetified it because that in it he rested from all his works with God
-
had created made. Now verse four. As soon as you have the Sabbath,
-
notice what happens to the name Yahweh. The very first time it appears
-
in the Bible is in verse four. These are the generations of the heavens
-
and the earth when they were created in the day the Lord God made the
-
earth and the heavens. As soon as you have the seventh Day as the
-
sign of the everlasting coven, you have God's name showing up as Lord Jehovah
-
Yahweh. God. Sabbath is the sign and seal of the Lord God that
-
validates his eternal law, that communicates his divine claim and purpose in our lives.
-
This is why we need to honor the edges of the Sabbath to really
-
it's keeping. Jesus is the Lord of the Sabbath. Because Jesus is the
-
Lord God who finished the work of creation on the Sabbath day. The one
-
who made us saved us, the one who is the Law of God died
-
because it was broken. And as the sun was setting on Good Friday,
-
it was the Sabbath day. It was coming. And it says they rested
-
according to the commandment, and we were at home in Eden because of the
-
Cross of Christ. The Seal of God is the seal of the Son of
-
God, because the Son of God is the Lord Jehovah Yabah, God who
-
is worthy of worship, the Lord of the Sabbath. Remember, the seal
-
of Revelation seventh three must go on the foreheads of the servants of God who
-
do not yet have the Seal of God. It must go on the forehead,
-
just like God's name and the name of the Lamb Revelation fourteen one.
-
The name of God and the Lamb is on the forehead. The seal of
-
God goes on the forehead. Deuteronomy six. God's ten commandment. Law goes
-
on the forehead, as frontlets between your eyes, and it goes in your
-
hand. God's Law belongs there not the mark of the beast, as the
-
counterfeit the mark of the beast goes on the fore in the hand where God's
-
law should go, the Sabbath seals should go. That completes the unity of
-
the law for the final Christians. At the time of the end Deuteronomy six,
-
God's ten commandment law was given to function as a sign on the forehead.
-
Verse four. Here of Israel, the Lord our God is what What
-
does it say? Now? The King James will just say one, and
-
it's both the right The revised here is working off the Greeks of Tuagen,
-
which also reflects some Hebrew manuscripts and the Dead Sea scrolls. It means the
-
same thing, one but one, yahweh implied. And thou shalt love the
-
Lord, thy God with all thine heart, with all thy soul, with
-
all thy might. What. Because God's law is one, the Father and
-
the Son are one. We are to obey God as they are one.
-
And these words which I command you this day shall be in thine heart,
-
and thou shalt teach them diligently to that children shall talk of them when that
-
citizen in the in that house, and when thou walk us by the way,
-
when they last down, and when they rise us up. Children are
-
to learn the Bible and the Word of God verse eight. And thou shalt
-
bind them for a What what does it say in the Bible? A sign
-
where on your hand, and they shall be as frontlence between your eyes,
-
as a jewel. Right here, look, God's law goes in the forehead
-
and the hand. The mark of the beast is usurping the place of God's
-
law, God's sabbath side and other things. The Beast and the Revelation is
-
the Antichrist kingdom power in the world order. And like Jesus, the Antichrist,
-
Beast and Revelation thirteen has a pre existence before his antichrist phase of forty
-
two prophetic months, which is three and a half years, mimicking jesus ministry.
-
Christ's death, the beast is wounded to death. Christ was resurrected.
-
The beast gets resurrected as deadly wound is healed. So the beast is Antichrist.
-
The whole world that the time of the end will worship the beast,
-
who's the counterfeit to Christ. Now think about this. The mark is the
-
mark of the beast. Right the beast is Antichrist. What is the mark
-
of Jesus Christ, the seal of Jesus Christ, the sign of Jesus Christ.
-
It's the Sabbath. The mark of the beast is direct attack upon the
-
Sabbath. You know, they the first commandment. They worship the beast.
-
They violated second commandment, the image of the beast, Third Commandment. The
-
name of the beast God's name. Fourth Commandment. The mark of the beast.
-
The sighing of God is the Sabbath. The mark of the beast issues
-
a direct attack on the fourth Commandment at the time of the end. Think
-
about this. The mark of the beast is the opposite of the seal and
-
sign of God. The mark belongs to the beast as Antichrist. The sign
-
and seal belong to Jesus Christ. The beast is the Antichrist's power at the
-
end. That means the beast has a counterfeit Sabbath as a sign and seal.
-
That is the mark of its authority, and with it people are led
-
away from Jesus. When people will choose the mark of the beast, and
-
that issue has not yet occurred at the end of time, they will in
-
the future choose the beast instead of Jesus and the dragon instead of God the
-
when those honors started. Christians who do not yet have the Seal of God,
-
who study their Bibles, who are led in love to see Jesus as
-
the Lord of the Sabbath, when they discover that there are ten commandments in
-
not nine, and the fourth commandment is the Forgotten Commandment, they will turn
-
their hearts toward God to Jesus. And when you have the sign and seal
-
of the Son of Man, it means that you have Jesus, the law
-
of Christ, the spirit of Christ is in your heart. I'm going to
-
be very direct here. There are some sabbath keepers today who believe in the
-
Sabbath day Sabbath, but they deny that Jesus is the Lord God of the
-
Sabbath, as the Bible clearly teaches. So let's say you have the Sabbath
-
right on the day, but you just can't accept Jesus for his divine credentials.
-
Thus the Seal of God isn't his seal. Thus he's not the Lord
-
of the Sabbath. How do they do that, Well, they deny it
-
by claiming that Jesus is not Yahweh Jehovah God. He's not an eternal being
-
that he isn't God from all eternity. He doesn't possess the divine credentials to
-
die on the cross. He's a demi god of sorts. And when they
-
do that innocently so they have done exactly what the beast power will do at
-
the time of the end. They have stripped Jesus of his right to be
-
the lord of our life. They've forgotten that the one who made us saved
-
us, that he is Yahweh Jehovah, God like his father, and that's
-
why he shares the throne of God in Revelation twenty two to one, because
-
he is God. The Sabbath is the sign of the Living God, is
-
the sign that points to Jesus. But if it doesn't, if you don't
-
get who Jesus is, it doesn't mean anything. The seal doesn't get on
-
your forehead if you deny the name of the one who bears the seal.
-
Friends, if you have the Sabbath and you don't have Jesus as the Lord
-
God of the Sabbath, you have nothing in the Sabbath, and the seal
-
of God doesn't work for you. In the mark of the Beast. Really,
-
I would like to finish this message by listening to Jesus again. Take
-
your bibles. Turn to John sixth seventh twenty nine. Do not labor for
-
the food which perishes, but for the food which endures, to eternal life,
-
which the Son of Man will give to you. See he can give
-
you eternal life, for on him has God the Father set his seal.
-
Then they said him, what west we do to be doing the works of
-
God? And Jesus answered them, this is the work of God that you
-
believe in him whom he has sinn. They're heavenly. Father. When Satan
-
attacked you for the creation of the world, when he claimed that you and
-
your law are not the same thing, that you're just a tyrant, that
-
you don't have sufficient capacity to give. You can receive worship, but you
-
can't give. And Father, who had thought that a lamb, who had
-
thought that a lamb would answer the question of who you are, thank you
-
that Jesus is more than just a savior. He's the Savior. He is
-
the I am who I am God, the glory of SINAI at the cross,
-
the Lord. There are times in life where we can't understand the complexity
-
of your nature. None of us. He are a physicists to deduce exactly
-
how this is. But Lord, when we look at the cross and we
-
hear the words of Jesus, Father, forgive them, they know not what
-
they do. Lord, if we're listening right, you know this. You
-
are speaking through Jesus because you are forgiving them. Thank you that God in
-
Christ forgave us. And Lord, maybe go from this place not arrogant because
-
we know something others may not, but help us to keep our eyes on
-
Jesus and by so doing, to keep her eyes on you and to cherish
-
your presence in our life. Father, thank you that we don't deny you.
-
By affirming who Jesus is, we affirm you. And Lord, how
-
the Father and the Son are one, we don't know, but we do
-
know. Jesus says. It's so so, Father, I laid down my
-
theologian's hat, and I just thank you for the simple word of God.
-
Help us to live it, to know it, and to be found in
-
Christ. Forgive every one of their sins. Lord. It could be that
-
someone here today is saying, Father, I need to surrender to Jesus today,
-
and I've not. You're that person. You raise your hand right now
-
to God. You raise your hand. If you have been walking away from
-
Christ to Christ has been diminished in your life life by worldly living, and
-
you've got to renew your life. Raise your hand and say, Lord,
-
that's me. I need Jesus. And if you just need Jesus forever and
-
ever, you don't will ever lose Him as the Great I am. Raise
-
your hand to God. Now, Father, you've heard the different commitments.
-
If some brother or sister here needs to be baptized soon, may them get
-
with me and Mervyn john Dom and let's get it going for them. But
-
Father, save your people in Jesus' name. Amen,
