St. Philip Catholic Church: One thing that I see similar in my culture and your culture is that I come from a culture where we like to party and celebrate a lot. And also it's very good that we are Catholic because in a Catholic church, we also celebrate a lot. Solanities and feast days in the church. ⁓ If you look at other Christian denominations, other Christians. That's why today is the third Easter Sunday. And we have to celebrate. Celebration itself is not pointless if we do not know the reason why we should celebrate. The reason that we celebrate Easter is to proclaim and to believe that our Lord is truly risen. Could not hold him and it was impossible for him to be held by death. By dying in our nature, he destroyed our debt. By rising, he restored our life. Means for us then we are purchased by the blood of God. That's why our life is worth living. Must continue to live in hope. of the resurrection. We must meditate, concentrate and celebrate the resurrection. Because of Jesus, we will participate in the resurrection. That is why it is a very worth living life. That's why very important and worth living it. But life we can face difficulties. When at for the two disciples, they were confused, worried and They were hopeless. And the scripture clearly said that they looked downcast. And because of that, they turned their backs to Jerusalem and they moved away from Jerusalem. It can happen in our life, you know, when we are confused, when we are worried, when we're anxious, when we're scared, that sometimes we ended up like giving our back to God and going away from our Lord. But do not be worried, my brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ. Even in this situation, Jesus come to us. If you look at the two disciples, they turn their backs to Jerusalem and they go away from Jerusalem. At that moment, Jesus find them, with them. And Jesus talk to them. Asking, what are you talking about? And what is happening in your life? Even when we don't recognize the presence of God and the presence of Jesus in our life. Especially when you don't feel like God is with you in your life can be when God is the closest to you. You know, the two disciples, their eyes were open and they experienced the presence of God. at the breaking of In every Mass, when the priest is celebrating the Mass, it is Jesus himself who is celebrating. That is why Mass is so important. We don't come to church because of the priests. We don't go to mass because of the music. We don't come to church because of the people. Even though they are all important, the most important thing that why we go to mass is because it is Jesus who celebrates the mass and it is Jesus himself who breaks the bread. You know when you come to mass, celebrating the mass, You know when the priests celebrate up, we say, my Lord and my God. I want you to ask another prayer. Only that you proclaim my Lord and my God. I want you to ask Jesus, Lord, open my eyes of faith. Help me to recognize it is you. and help my heart to be burning with the fire of your life. You know, when you experience, when you realize that it is the Lord, the two disciples, when they recognize it is Jesus, when they experience the resurrected Lord, they turn back and go back to Jerusalem. Ask us, where are you going in your life? We need to turn back to Jesus. But we must experience the resurrected Lord in our life. So in this Eucharistic celebration, let's ask Jesus, Lord, I want to see you. help to open my eyes of faith so that I may go out into the world and your witnesses of the resurrection. Me time we don't necessarily have to proclaim through our words. But then yet we must proclaim the resurrection the way we live our life. When people look at the way you live your life, may they see your faith in Jesus Christ, proclaim the resurrection and proclaim the resurrected Lord with your life.
