  1. St. Philip Catholic Church: Today, celebration of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ is very important for us because even to the point we ⁓ the church teaches the Eucharist the source and the summit the source of our Christian life. We talk about many, many other things, but today I want us to that. This feast day is feast day of love. Last week when we celebrate the Trinity, we heard in the gospel God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son. Today then the feast day would be that Jesus loves us so much the point ⁓ only save us but gave ⁓ his and blood in the for our spiritual Of course, we know ⁓ that the Father us, the Son loved us, Holy Spirit loves itself, ⁓ and the Trinity, ⁓ loves us. ⁓ Then we need to ask, then is this the body and blood of Christ or for salvation or ⁓ for Christian Before we think about the spiritual food and spirituality, we can think even an example, a sh a foreshadow of physical food ⁓ and body. We our body need food not only to be alive, to be nourished, grow ⁓ nourishment. Think the time when you hungry. I remember when I was I was angry. When I'm hungry, ⁓ some somehow I my temper. That is only ⁓ what the hunger. Or like because I don't I didn't eat I was supposed to eat. Think the hunger, ⁓ how more hunger gave body how important it ⁓ That's why think many people who are going under poverty and hunger. can see that there are in the life of the Israelite, they were hungry. They suffer hunger. God the Israelite ⁓ the slavery ⁓ Egypt. He divided the sea ⁓ saved them through water, ⁓ them salvation, sort of like freedom from the slavery of Egypt. But in their journey to the land of Canaan, in a they were hungry. They were tired, they lost strength, many of them are past perish. ⁓ God so loved the world that He didn't abandon His people, ⁓ provided manner come from heaven feed them in order that they may have food ⁓ for the journey, they may have strength ⁓ to get ⁓ to promised land. We are the new Israelite. Those who believe in Jesus Christ, we are the new Israelite. Similar to the Israelite, we were also safe slavery to sin ⁓ dad ⁓ Satan through water and the Holy Spirit. As God not save ⁓ But also provided the food that they need for the journey until they get to the promised land. For us, the promised land is heaven. the Israelites needed food ⁓ their journey to get to the promised land, ⁓ too need ⁓ spiritual food ⁓ get ⁓ the promised land, the new Canaan, ⁓ is ⁓ ⁓ And God knows in his divine wisdom that we would be perished, we would be weak, we would need strength their journey. Therefore, ⁓ Himself gave Himself this Eucharist in a sacramental note ⁓ under ⁓ species bread and wine, ⁓ changing substance, but remain in accident of the bread and the wine, ⁓ changing whole substance ⁓ in that we may consume. And receive and nourish ⁓ ⁓ spiritual food that we may have strength and courage and ⁓ the power on our way ⁓ to kingdom. That's why, ⁓ for who believe for Christians, ⁓ the ⁓ is for salvation and for our ⁓ on our way to the promised ⁓ Even the the effects of this Eucharistic effect of this Eucharist, we can see in the catechism of the Catholic Church, ⁓ strengthened our with our Lord. We all have ⁓ some or another ⁓ relationship union with our Lord. But this Eucharist ⁓ deepened and in our union with our Lord. ⁓ Not that, whenever we have venial sins. If we receive worthily receive ⁓ Eucharist, ⁓ venial sins ⁓ forgiven. ⁓ Lord washes away. ⁓ it also strengthened our charity. ⁓ Lord said the greatest commandment, the most important commandment, is ⁓ love God and our neighbor. The Eucharist ⁓ to love God and to love our neighbor. And those who are in union, those who receive the Eucharist. ⁓ Also in union with the church. Because wherever is the Eucharist, is the church. ⁓ there is the church, there the Eucharist. A person who loves the Eucharist ⁓ who to receive that spiritual food ⁓ can be separated from the church. And those who are in the church are being this ⁓ sacrament. Therefore, and sisters. As we receive worldly preparation, come to receive the Eucharist. do you need to do then? As we the bread and the wine ⁓ to offered, ⁓ and by the invocation and by the power of the Holy Spirit, ⁓ the ⁓ of bread and the wine is changed ⁓ into body and blood of Jesus Christ. ⁓ You me, as we receive that the body and blood of Jesus Christ, ⁓ we to allow God. To transform our life itself. What do you bring to Jesus? What is your offering? As you come to the church in this Eucharistic celebration, come as you are and allow your substance be changed ⁓ holiness. We'll in the Eucharistic prayer ⁓ that we receive this Eucharist, ⁓ Lord, Lord and Jesus and our God, ⁓ make ⁓ holy. And we have a foreshadow and a foretaste of that heavenly real realities. yourself to be transformed. You know, when you receive the Eucharist worthily, ⁓ God makes you holy, ⁓ accident will not change. What that means then, when I receive Jesus worthily, and when God makes me holy, I get taller. I don't get taller, you know. I'm the same, but inside being transformed, right? So as you go out, you will still be the same person, the same height, the same color. at the same time, the fruit ⁓ what you receive ⁓ to change. Because ⁓ you receive from the Eucharist, the fruit. People will be experienced. People receive the fruit ⁓ that holiness, what you receive here. Therefore. Come as you are, receive the Eucharist. And as our Lord transform and change the body, the bread and the wine into his own body and blood, and as we receive that body and blood of Jesus Christ, ask Jesus, Lord, transform my life, change into your life, me share and participate ⁓ your divine life. Make holy. And let me experience the foretaste of that heavenly realities. may you send me forth to ⁓ that ⁓ of Eucharist ⁓ to I encounter. The Lord wants to change your life. ⁓ The wants to make you holy. Allow it. Give him permission. ⁓
