  1. Let us pray. And Father, I pray that in

  2. your grace, you give us each faith

  3. today.

  4. Faith to know you by your Holy Spirit

  5. and wisdom and revelation.

  6. And God, I pray that by your Holy

  7. Spirit, you would preach the gospel

  8. through me and apply it to all of our

  9. hearts, God, with boldness, with power

  10. and conviction, and transform us into

  11. the image of Christ for his glory and

  12. for his sake, in whose name we pray.

  13. Amen.

  14. >> Amen.

  15. >> Please be seated.

  16. There is a a church in the world. It's

  17. based in Nigeria. It's called the

  18. Reformed Christian Church of God. And I

  19. just learned about it recently.

  20. It has 51,000 congregations around the

  21. world. In fact, one here in Savannah.

  22. And a group of us were having coffee

  23. with Tommy Zitto, the evangelist, who is

  24. here in October. And he was sharing with

  25. us about their annual conference that

  26. occurs in Logos, Nigeria. And it takes

  27. place in a place called Redemption City,

  28. which is a whole development the church

  29. has constructed there to gather. And

  30. they have a building there that seats

  31. between five and six million people. And

  32. they had between five and six million

  33. people worshiping and gathering there

  34. for a week. If you're like me, that

  35. blows your mind and you think there's no

  36. way. The building is a 1.8 miles long

  37. and about a mile wide. And I saw

  38. pictures and videos of this worship

  39. event.

  40. worshiping the Lord, preaching the

  41. gospel, hearing testimonies of Jesus,

  42. offering prayers to God. And it is

  43. amazing to think about that. Five to six

  44. million people plus others in an

  45. additional site and millions others

  46. doing it live stream around the world

  47. worshiping the Lord. We don't hear about

  48. that sort of thing in our daily news and

  49. on social media too much, but imagine

  50. the impact that that has spiritually in

  51. the world and in the kingdom of heaven

  52. and the battle between it and the

  53. kingdom of darkness.

  54. Five to six million people worshiping

  55. the Lord for a week. One night they had

  56. a a Nigerian worship leader who sounds

  57. like everyone in Nigeria would

  58. recognize, none of us would. He began

  59. leading in worship at midnight and he

  60. led in worship until 4:00 a.m. Most of

  61. the people left. There were only about

  62. 200,000 during those four hours.

  63. When Isaiah sees this vision of God or

  64. I'm sorry, yeah, when Isaiah sees the

  65. vision of God in chapter 6 verse one

  66. that was read, it says that when God

  67. spoke, the foundations of the threshold

  68. shook.

  69. When we worship God and God, the Bible

  70. says, inhabits or is enthroned upon the

  71. praises of his people, imagine the

  72. shaking that occurs, the light that

  73. shines over and against the darkness.

  74. And it's not just because in this one

  75. case there's 6 million people. It's

  76. because there are those who are

  77. worshiping the Lord and the light is

  78. shining. Whether it is a gathering like

  79. this, a gathering like complin or even

  80. song or where two or three are gathered

  81. and are worshiping the Lord, God is

  82. present and he's impacting the world for

  83. the kingdom of heaven. That's why

  84. worship is and must continue to be an

  85. emphasized pillar of our vision as a

  86. church. Christ Church Anglican, our

  87. vision says, seeks to be a gospel-

  88. centered congregation in the Anglican

  89. tradition where worship is central,

  90. catechizus is pervasive, life together

  91. is nurtured and mission extended from

  92. Thomas Square where we are to the city

  93. of Savannah, the dasis in the world,

  94. wherever God may call us. Our

  95. congregation is and must continue to be

  96. committed to worship, a gospel-oriented

  97. and Christc centered worship both for

  98. mature believers and the unchurched

  99. inquir and yet unbeliever. And as a

  100. church, we are called to worship in the

  101. Anglican tradition, not because it's the

  102. only way. It's the way that God has

  103. called us. And we think it's a good way.

  104. One of the scriptures I think that sums

  105. up the approach to worship for the

  106. Christian is from Paul's letter to

  107. Romans in chapter 12 beginning in verse

  108. 1. Paul writes to the believers, "I

  109. appeal to you therefore, brothers and

  110. sisters, by the mercies of God to

  111. present your bodies as a living

  112. sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God,

  113. which is your spiritual or your

  114. reasonable worship. Do not be conformed

  115. to this world, but be transformed by the

  116. renewal of your mind. That by testing

  117. you may discern what is the will of God,

  118. what is good and acceptable and perfect.

  119. Paul is calling us to offer ourselves as

  120. living sacrifices in worship to God. And

  121. it must be offering our bodies because

  122. we can't worship apart from our bodies.

  123. We worship in body, soul, and spirit all

  124. together and at once.

  125. And he encourages us not to be conformed

  126. to the world but to be transformed to

  127. understand God's will. Because to

  128. worship the Lord God Almighty is an

  129. affront to the world. It is a denial of

  130. the world's powers and systems and all

  131. that attracts our attention that is in

  132. the world apart from Christ. To worship

  133. the Lord God Almighty is to deny our own

  134. self-centeredness

  135. and it is to deny our sinful nature and

  136. its indulgences. So we must offer

  137. ourselves in surrender and as a living

  138. sacrifice to God to worship him fully in

  139. conformity with his will, not in

  140. conformity with the world.

  141. As we read scripture, uh because we have

  142. the chapters and the verses, it's

  143. natural for us to typically end a

  144. chapter and maybe we'll start the next

  145. chapter in the next day or we we intuit

  146. it an ending to the thoughts and then a

  147. new beginning.

  148. But the Bible wasn't written like that

  149. with chapters and verses. They were just

  150. written as a letter or as a scroll or as

  151. a prophetic vision. And Romans is like

  152. that. It was written as one continual

  153. letter. A and so preceding Ro Romans

    Romans 12:1

  154. 12:1 that I read is this statement that

  155. I think it is the foundation of why Paul

  156. exhorts us to offer ourselves as living

  157. sacrifices to God. Romans 11:36 he

    Romans 11:36

  158. writes, "For from him and through him

  159. and to him are all things. To him be

  160. glory forever. Amen."

  161. We worship God and we offer ourselves to

  162. him in worship and we do not allow

  163. ourselves to be conformed to this world

  164. but to be transformed by renewing our

  165. minds according to his will because all

  166. things come from God. All things come to

  167. us through God. All things will return

  168. to God. In one sense, God is all that

  169. matters to us because he is the source

  170. of all life. He is the one who sustains

  171. all life. He is the one that will hold

  172. every single eternity in his hand. He is

  173. the one that matters. So we offer

  174. ourselves to him. Th this is a a theme

  175. that is repeated throughout scripture in

  176. the the vision that was read from

  177. Revelation. Um Ed read chapter 5 which

  178. is a continuation of chapter 4 where

  179. John sees a vision of the throne room of

  180. heaven with God seated upon the throne

  181. with four living creatures around him

  182. with 24 elders around them and then

  183. ultimately with myriads and myriads

  184. thousands upon thousands of angels

  185. around the elders and then eventually

  186. all living creatures.

  187. It is a vision of the worship and the

  188. glory of heaven. And in chapter 4

  189. beginning in verse 9, Paul writes this

  190. about that vision. I mean, John writes

  191. this about the vision. He says,

  192. "Whenever the living creatures give

  193. glory and honor and thanks to him who is

  194. seated on the throne who lives forever

  195. and ever. The 24 elders fall down before

  196. him who is seated on the throne and

  197. worship him who lives forever. They cast

  198. their crowns before the throne, saying,

  199. "Worthy are you, O Lord, our Lord and

  200. God, to receive glory and honor and

  201. power, for you created all things, and

  202. by your will they existed and were

  203. created." This is a truth of scripture.

  204. This is a truth of God. And it is a

  205. truth that ought to inspire our worship

  206. of him because it's our worship is an

  207. acknowledgment that yes, God, we

  208. believe, we acknowledge that all things

  209. came from you. You sustain all things.

  210. All things are returning to you. So you

  211. are worthy of all of our praise, our

  212. honor, and our glory. Because when we

  213. separate ourselves from God, when we

  214. allow anything to come between us and

  215. God, we are allowing something to come

  216. between the one who gives us life.

  217. But when we worship him, we are coming

  218. before the one who gives us life, even

  219. breath. That vision continues in chapter

  220. 5 which was read and in beginning in

  221. verse 11 of chapter 5, John looks and it

  222. says,"I heard around the throne the

  223. living creatures and the elders the

  224. voice of many angels numbering myriads

  225. of myriads and thousands of thousands."

  226. Essentially, he's saying too many to

  227. count. as many as you can imagine,

  228. saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the

  229. Lamb who was slain to receive power and

  230. wealth and wisdom and might and honor,

  231. glory and blessing." And I heard every

  232. creature in heaven and on earth and

  233. under the earth and in the sea and all

  234. that is in them, saying, "To him who

  235. sits on the throne and to the Lamb be

  236. blessing and honor and glory and might

  237. forever and ever." And the four living

  238. creatures said, "Amen." and the elders

  239. fell down and worshiped. And this is a

  240. glorious vision of the kingdom of

  241. heaven, the throne of God and our and it

  242. is an invitation to all of us to join in

  243. that worship in the in that new creation

  244. that is facilitated by the redemption of

  245. the lamb who was slain. At the beginning

  246. of that vision, John sees the elders and

  247. they have harps and they have bowls of

  248. incense. He says, "And the incense flows

  249. up before the throne of God along with

  250. the prayers of God's people." That is

  251. our participation in the worship that is

  252. occurring in heaven right now. As we

  253. worship the Lord, as we offer prayers

  254. and praises, they ascend to the throne

  255. of God. Even in the midst of the living

  256. creatures, the elders, and all the

  257. angels in heaven, our prayers ascend.

  258. And Revelation 7 shows us that one day

  259. we will be there in person before Jesus

  260. worshiping

  261. our worship of God is our response and I

  262. would say our responsibility

  263. to the prayer that Jesus taught us. Our

  264. father in heaven,

  265. your kingdom come, your will be done on

  266. earth as it is in heaven. As we worship,

  267. a as we develop a vision and an

  268. understanding of the kingdom of God and

  269. the throne of God and as we worship

  270. according to that, we are facilitating

  271. his kingdom and his will being done on

  272. earth through worship and through

  273. prayer.

  274. God gave to Isaiah this wonderful vision

  275. of heaven as well in chapter 6 verse 1

  276. when he says that in the year that King

  277. Uzziah died I saw the Lord sitting upon

  278. the throne high and lifted up and the

  279. train of his robe filled the temple

  280. above him stood the saraphim that are

  281. angels each had six wings and with two

  282. he covered his face and with two he

  283. covered his feet and with two he flew

  284. and with one one called to one another

  285. and said, "Holy, holy, holy is the Lord

  286. of hosts. The whole earth is full of his

  287. glory."

  288. The whole earth is full of God's glory.

  289. And the whole earth is going to be

  290. filled with the knowledge of that glory

  291. through Christ as the waters cover the

  292. sea is the promise of scripture. Our

  293. participation in worship as individuals,

  294. as families, as small groups, as a

  295. congregation

  296. is participating in that glory of God

  297. that is filling the earth.

  298. God's kingdom is here. The kingdom that

  299. John saw in his vision is here.

  300. It's not yet fulfilled, but that day is

  301. coming. And our worship participates in

  302. the fullness of his kingdom. And that's

  303. why it's part of our vision, not only as

  304. a church, but must be a part of our

  305. vision as a Christian life. And what

  306. Isaiah is showing us is that our God is

  307. not a boring God. And that to worship

  308. the Lord in spirit and truth is not a

  309. boring endeavor,

  310. a box that must be checked. when he sees

  311. the worship of God. When he hears the

  312. chorus, holy, holy is the Lord of hosts,

  313. the whole earth is full of his glory.

  314. And he feels that temple of his vision

  315. shaking.

  316. His response is, "Woe is me, for I am

  317. lost, for I am a man of unclean lips. I

  318. dwell in the midst of a people of

  319. unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the

  320. King, the Lord of hosts." The delusions

  321. of his life are wiped away by the

  322. reality of God's presence, his holiness,

  323. and his glory. And thanks be to God that

  324. he is merciful and gracious. That in in

  325. the presence of his glory,

  326. he offers us redemption and forgiveness

  327. of sins. For Isaiah, Christ had not yet

  328. come, but there was an altar there. And

  329. the angel takes the coal from the altar

  330. and touches his lips and says, "You are

  331. made clean." For us, we are cleansed by

  332. the blood of Jesus and able to come

  333. before this throne of holiness in the

  334. holiness and righteousness of Christ.

  335. Part of our worship as a church is to

  336. bring the reality of God's holiness and

  337. glory into this world, into our lives,

  338. into this community, so that others will

  339. be confronted with the reality of God's

  340. presence, his sovereignty, and they will

  341. be awakened out of their delusions,

  342. out of their apathy,

  343. and they will come to this place that

  344. Isaiah came to of

  345. a self-examination saying, "Woe is me

  346. before a holy God. I am unclean." And

  347. they will receive the forgiveness that

  348. comes only through Jesus and become part

  349. of God's family and welcomed into his

  350. presence.

  351. This is what God desires.

  352. And we as a church are invited to be a

  353. part of that.

  354. When Jesus in John chapter 4 is sitting

    John 4 chapter mention

  355. beside the well in Samaria, he has a

  356. wonderful loving conversation with a

  357. Samaritan woman. And I love how

  358. compassion and gentle yet also uh

  359. truthful and honest he is with her. And

  360. and she responds to that by being

  361. truthful and honest with him. And

  362. they're discussing worship. They're even

  363. discussing the Messiah. And she's

  364. telling him how it is from her

  365. perspective as a Samaritan.

  366. And Jesus says this in John 4:23 says,

    John 4:23

  367. "The hour is coming and is now here when

  368. the true worshippers will worship the

  369. Father in spirit and truth. For the

  370. Father is seeking such people to worship

  371. him." How wonderful is this? This is a

  372. revelation from Jesus of God's heart,

  373. the Father, the Son, and the Holy

  374. Spirit. Not seeking to push people away,

  375. not seeking to condemn people or punish

  376. people.

  377. Not seeking to make everyone all the

  378. same,

  379. but seeking people who will worship him

  380. in spirit and truth. Seeking those who

  381. will come not through artificial or

  382. religious means, but through the means

  383. of Jesus Christ.

  384. Not coming to worship a God of their own

  385. delusion or making, but a God who is the

  386. one true God. and not worshiping in a

  387. way that makes them like everybody else.

  388. God has all called us to worship him in

  389. Christ as the person that he created us

  390. to be in his image and likeness.

  391. That's to worship in spirit and truth.

  392. To worship as the person God made you to

  393. be. Worshiping the God as he is. This is

  394. what God desires. If we as a church came

  395. together and we said, "Let's be the kind

  396. of church that God desires, that he

  397. wants us to be."

  398. Those who started this church discern

  399. that we were called to be an Anglican

  400. church, to worship in the Anglican

  401. tradition. But we could also know that

  402. what God wants us to be is a church that

  403. worships.

  404. And there's various ways to worship, but

  405. that's what God desires of us

  406. individually, small groups, as a

  407. congregation.

  408. The Psalm 100, which is part of our

  409. morning prayer service and liturgy.

  410. The psalmist says, "Oh, be joyful in the

  411. Lord, all you lands. Serve the Lord with

  412. gladness and come before his presence

  413. with a song. Be assured that the Lord,

  414. he is God. It is he that has made us and

  415. not we ourselves. We are his people and

  416. the sheep of his pasture. Oh, go your

  417. way into his gates with thanksgiving and

  418. into his courts with praise. Be thankful

  419. unto him and speak good of his name. For

  420. the Lord is gracious, his mercy is

  421. everlasting, and his truth endures from

  422. generation to generation. The psalmist

  423. isn't exhorting this worship because

  424. it's a rule and it's a mandate and you

  425. got to do it. It is a revelation and an

  426. expression of God's heart for us. It

  427. It's the same expression that Jesus

  428. shared in our gospel lesson in Luke 17:1

    Luke 17:1

  429. when the 10 lepers called out to him.

  430. And Jesus being so good in his mercy and

  431. grace recognizes their suffering, their

  432. ostracism, and in this case, he heals

  433. all of them as they are obedient in

  434. faith to go show themselves to the

  435. priest. But did Jesus didn't come to

  436. just heal people and send them on their

  437. way? So the one leper, the Samaritan,

  438. when he comes back, he

  439. saw that he was healed and he praised

  440. God with a loud voice falling on his

  441. face at Jesus's feet, giving him thanks,

  442. worshiping him.

  443. We see Jesus's heart. On one hand, he

  444. delights in this person who comes back

  445. to worship him, who comes back

  446. recognizing that the one who healed him

  447. is also the savior, the Lord. And Jesus

  448. delights in him, but we also recognize

  449. Jesus's longing. Were not all 10

  450. cleansed? Where are the other nine?

  451. Where are those going their own way,

  452. missing out on this opportunity to come

  453. and worship the Lord?

  454. It is Jesus wooing us with his love and

  455. his compassion

  456. and his desire for us to come and

  457. receive the goodness from his hands

  458. and also worship him and stay in his

  459. presence.

  460. The psalmist in Psalm 90:14,

    Psalms 90:14

  461. he cries out to God and he says,

  462. "Satisfy in the morning with satisfy us

  463. in the morning with your unfailing love

  464. that we may sing for joy and be glad all

  465. our days." As we worship the Lord, what

  466. we are doing is placing ourselves in the

  467. presence of unfailing love,

  468. of unconditional love, which we can't

  469. get from anywhere else in this world,

  470. less it comes from the lover of our

  471. souls, Jesus.

  472. Our worship of God places us before him

  473. who loves us unconditionally and

  474. unfailingly.

  475. In in fact the psalmist in Psalm 48:9

    Psalms 48:9

  476. even describes worship it like this. He

  477. says, "Within your temple, oh God, we

  478. meditate on your unfailing love."

  479. This is the benefit that we get from

  480. worship.

  481. The more we worship, the more we

  482. experience that unfailing love of God.

  483. And the more we worship, the more that

  484. love comes and immerses us and comes

  485. among us and flows out of us, not only

  486. for our sake, but for the sake of those

  487. around us.

  488. When we have worship services here, the

  489. world's going on all around us. And it

  490. can seem like nothing else is happening.

  491. But I think the scriptures assure us

  492. that as we worship the Lord, the Lord is

  493. here. And where the Lord is present, he

  494. is fulfilling his purposes and his will.

  495. And his light is shining over and

  496. against the darkness outside of these

  497. walls. And it is making an impact all

  498. around us, not only in our lives.

  499. And our worship, and this is important

  500. for us as a church and as individuals to

  501. understand, our worship is not dependent

  502. on how life is going.

  503. There is an assurance in this world that

  504. we will go through trials and

  505. tribulations that we will have

  506. suffering.

  507. Our worship doesn't depend on whether

  508. we're in those times or in happy times.

  509. What the Bible exhorts us is to worship

  510. the Lord and ascribe to him the glory.

  511. Do his name because he is Lord, because

  512. he is sovereign, because he is perfect

  513. in glory and splendor.

  514. There's an exhortation of this in the

  515. prophetic book of Habach. It's in the

  516. Old Testament. It's three chapters. It's

  517. a wonderful book. And the prophet is

  518. exhorting the people to worship, to

  519. repent, to return to God.

  520. And he ends the book like this in what I

  521. think is an odd way to end such an

  522. exhortational book.

  523. He says, "Though the fig tree should not

  524. blossom, nor fruit beyond the vines, the

  525. produce of the olive fail and the fields

  526. yield no food, the flock be cut off from

  527. the fold, and there be no herd in the

  528. stalls.

  529. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord. I will

  530. take joy in the God of my salvation.

  531. God, the Lord is my strength. He makes

  532. my feet like the deers. He makes me

  533. tread on the high places.

  534. Even as things are going terribly, he is

  535. saying, "I will rejoice in my God. I

  536. will take joy in my God and in his

  537. salvation. And in the midst of these

  538. times, as I worship him, he will

  539. strengthen me. He will raise me up. He

  540. will lead me and guide me through the

  541. trials, through the suffering to that

  542. place that he has prepared for me."

  543. There's an interesting note in the text

  544. as that book of Habach ends and it is a

  545. part of the scripture. It says to the

  546. choir master with stringed instruments

  547. in the midst of the sorrows and

  548. suffering. This is to be sung in worship

  549. to the Lord. An acknowledgement that God

  550. you are greater than any of my

  551. circumstances or what I may be going

  552. through.

  553. Uh Psalm 16 which we we talked about in

  554. Sunday school today talks about that in

  555. his presence there are fullness there is

  556. fullness of joy and pleasures forever

  557. more. Our worship of God also does

  558. recognize that that is where we are

  559. going in a place that is a paradise that

  560. God has prepared for us because he's

  561. overcome death and the grave.

  562. God promises us in Isaiah 577:15

  563. that while he is high and lifted up and

  564. we worship him in his glory and

  565. transcendence, he promises us that he

  566. also is with those who are contrite and

  567. lowly in spirit to revive the spirit of

  568. the lowly and to revive the heart of the

  569. contrite. There is a movement of God

  570. when we worship that gives us life, that

  571. revives us, that refreshes and

  572. re-energizes us with his supernatural

  573. presence and power and light. And this

  574. is what shakes the foundations of even

  575. this world when we worship him is

  576. because he comes in power and might to

  577. bring revival.

  578. revival for us, revival for those around

  579. us, which is what God desires,

  580. the revival of people who are dead

  581. through worship.

  582. So, I want to close w with an

  583. encouragement. And we've been reading

  584. through the nativity stories of Jesus

  585. during this time in Christmas. And while

  586. I was reading in Luke chapter 2, I

    Luke 2 chapter mention

  587. think, you know, the Lord put it on my

  588. heart how it relates to worship. And

  589. this is the story of when Jesus is a

  590. little baby and his parents bring him

  591. into the temple to offer the sacrifices

  592. required for a little baby. And they

  593. come into the temple and they're they

  594. encounter Simeon the prophet who has

  595. received a message from the Lord that

  596. God would show him the Messiah. And then

  597. they see Anna and this is what Luke says

  598. about Anna in Luke 2 verse 36. There was

    Luke 2:36

  599. a prophetus Anna the daughter of Faniel

  600. of the tribe of Asher. She was advanced

  601. in years, having lived with her husband

  602. 7 years from when she was a virgin. And

  603. then as a widow until she was 84. She

  604. did not depart from the temple

  605. worshiping with fasting and prayer night

  606. and day. And coming up at that very

  607. hour, she began to give thanks to God

  608. and to speak of him to all who were

  609. waiting for the redemption of Israel.

  610. When when I read this recently in light

  611. of this sermon and the topic of worship,

  612. it's like God just prompted me in my

  613. mind to think that is what we need

  614. today. We need people who will worship

  615. with fasting and prayer night and day

  616. and who will give thanks to God and

  617. speak of him to all who are present.

  618. And we don't have to do that here like

  619. Anna did it in the temple even in the

  620. midst of so much chaos and confusion in

  621. the temple that Jesus rebuked later but

  622. she was there praying fasting and

  623. worshiping. We don't have to do it in a

  624. particular place but I think God is

  625. calling us to be a people who worship

  626. night and day with prayer and fasting

  627. with thanksgiving with the testimony of

  628. the gospel of grace. And when I thought

  629. that, I thought, well, maybe we could do

  630. a little bit, a little bit here and

  631. there. That's good enough, right? A

  632. little bit more than the church down the

  633. road. That should get us by. Please God.

  634. And then I spoke with someone yesterday

  635. at the wonderful retirement party for

  636. Steve who's in our church who was

  637. sharing with me just as she got some

  638. snacks how she was coming off a six-day

  639. fast of having only water that God had

  640. inspired and enabled her to do this past

  641. week for the sake of praying for the

  642. lost and for family and for God's

  643. kingdom. And I thought

  644. that's confirmation of what God is

  645. calling his people to do to worship with

  646. prayer and fasting and thanksgiving and

  647. to share the gospel.

  648. And what also encourages me knowing that

  649. it's impossible God will enable us to

  650. worship him. But it also shows that God

  651. led her to pray and fast because God is

  652. about to move in response to that prayer

  653. and fasting. God is ready to move and

  654. inhabit the praise and worship of his

  655. people in a new and mighty way.

  656. Our responsibility, our role is to

  657. worship. To pray is to worship. To read

  658. and study scripture is worship. To

  659. meditate on the Father and the Son and

  660. the Holy Spirit's goodness is worship.

  661. To thank God for his blessings is

  662. worship. To serve God in your vocation

  663. with all of your heart is worship. To

  664. share the gospel is worship. To shout

  665. with joy and triumph is worship. To be

  666. calm and at peace and trusting God is

  667. worship. To participate in the life of

  668. God's people in communion is worship. So

  669. may we be people who worship. And by

  670. God's grace, may he inhabit our worship

  671. with blessings, with all of his goodness

  672. and grace. Let us pray.

  673. But Father, we pray that we would be the

  674. kind of people that you desire, those

  675. who seek you and worship you in spirit

  676. and truth. Show us how, Lord. God, lead

  677. us deeper into your presence. And

  678. Father, let it not just be for our sake,

  679. but for the sake of the lost who do not

  680. yet know you. For the sake of the

  681. hurting and the suffering, for the sake

  682. that of those who are bound in darkness,

  683. that they would see a great light coming

  684. from this people. And that Jesus would

  685. be glorified. Amen. Amen.
