  1. of you, poor thing.

  2. Grab your Bibles, I want you to turn to Genesis chapter 16.

    Genesis 16 chapter mention

  3. Genesis chapter 16.

    Genesis 16 chapter mention

  4. You know, God has a plan for my life.

  5. God has a plan for your life.

  6. And he'll show us how to live out that plan through his word.

  7. And if you're a Christian today and you've surrendered your

  8. heart and life to the Lord Jesus Christ and committed to live

  9. for him, when you did that, you were blessed to have the Holy

  10. Spirit of God indwell within you to guide you through the maze of

  11. daily decisions and discouragements and temptations and

  12. hindrances.

  13. But the reality is we don't always agree with God on what

  14. he's doing in our lives and how he's doing it.

  15. And when it does not suit us or when it does not feel right, we have a

  16. tendency to try to fix it.

  17. And sometimes that means we yield to temptation.

  18. And when I mean yield, that's a real kind way of saying we mess up.

  19. We fall to it.

  20. We go our own way instead of God's way.

  21. Even though his word is clear about the matter, even though his guidance

  22. through our own time with him and our own relationship with him, and even the

  23. utterings of the Holy Spirit to our heart that are not audible but are louder

  24. than that, even with that sometimes the questioning of the timing of God causes us to go our own

  25. way.

  26. And, man, some folks do a good job of justifying it.

  27. I mean, just ask them.

  28. They'll tell you how it's justified.

  29. Or they'll blame somebody else.

  30. Or they'll try to wash their hands of it.

  31. But in our passage today, it's dealing with such as that.

  32. And it teaches us, I believe, a lot of lessons about what will happen when we try to fix God's

  33. plan by doing things our way instead of the way God has shown us to do it.

  34. God has told us to do it.

  35. And God has even spoke to us individually, given us guidance of how his word is personalized into our lives

  36. and how we ought to follow it.

  37. If a man of faith like Abraham can mess up in that plan, so can we.

  38. Genesis chapter 16, beginning in verse 1, it says,

    Genesis 16 chapter mention

  39. Now Sarai, Abram's wife, had borne him no children.

  40. She had a female Egyptian servant whose name was Hagar.

  41. And Sarai said to Abram,

  42. Behold now, the Lord has prevented me from bearing children.

  43. Go into my servant.

  44. It may be that I shall obtain children by her.

  45. And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.

  46. So after Abram had lived ten years in the land of Canaan,

  47. Sarai, Abram's wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, his servant,

  48. and gave her to Abram, her husband, as a wife.

  49. And he went in to Hagar, and she conceived.

  50. And when she saw that she had conceived,

  51. she looked with contempt on her mistress.

  52. And Sarai said to Abram,

  53. May the Lord, may the wrong done to me be on you.

  54. I gave my servant to your embrace,

  55. and when she saw that she had conceived,

  56. she looked on me with contempt.

  57. May the Lord judge between you and me.

  58. But Abram said to Sarai,

  59. Behold, your servant is in your power.

  60. Do to her as you please.

  61. Then Sarai dealt harshly with her,

  62. and she fled from her.

  63. Man, I wish I could clean this up for Sunday morning

  64. because it's kind of messy.

  65. But I am thankful that God tells the truth in His Word.

  66. He just puts it out there and shows us

  67. so that we can learn from it.

  68. I want you to notice this morning what happens

  69. when we fall to the temptation of overstepping God

  70. or fixing God's plan, at least attempting to.

  71. Because we sometimes miss God's plan.

  72. We overstep it or we try to fix it

  73. when we listen to people instead of God.

  74. This story starts long before this particular incident.

  75. Before Sarai offered her servant to Abram,

  76. it started when Abram went to Egypt during a famine.

  77. Egypt had plenty.

  78. And when you're hungry,

  79. you want to go to a land of plenty,

  80. and Egypt looked like it was a good spot.

  81. But you find that,

  82. as I spoke of when we talked about that passage,

  83. Egypt was never a good place to go in the Bible.

  84. It just wasn't a good place to go.

  85. It looked good all the time,

  86. but it was not a good place to go.

  87. It was dangerous.

  88. It was dangerous to Abraham,

  89. who was called Abram at the time.

  90. And to protect himself,

  91. Abram called Sarai his sister.

  92. Now, she was his half-sister,

  93. and until somebody asked for her hand,

  94. nobody would kill him to get his wife

  95. if she was just a sister.

  96. Therefore, he was good.

  97. But when Pharaoh,

  98. when she caught the attention of Pharaoh,

  99. and he wanted to bring her into his home,

  100. then that caused a problem.

  101. And it just proved that he never should have lied

  102. about the thing to start with.

  103. Now, you say, well, I mean,

  104. he said it was a sister and half-sister,

  105. and that ain't half a lie.

  106. Well, half a lie is a whole deception, you know.

  107. And plagues came to Pharaoh

  108. and started ruining his life,

  109. and when he finally realized

  110. that it had been due to his interest in Sarai,

  111. he told Abram to get her and get out

  112. and take all that he had been given.

  113. Take the sheep,

  114. take the goats,

  115. take the cattle,

  116. take the donkeys,

  117. take the male servants,

  118. and take the female servants,

  119. and the camels.

  120. Take them all.

  121. It's what Genesis 12, 16 says.

  122. And one of those female servants

  123. was named Hagar.

  124. And Sarai said,

  125. since apparently I can't bear the child

  126. that God has promised to us,

  127. have one with her,

  128. and that'll solve it.

  129. And that seemed like an acceptable solution

  130. to not having a child,

  131. therefore the world would have applauded

  132. Sarai's willingness

  133. to be open-minded

  134. about such a situation like that.

  135. I mean,

  136. why not put feet on God's promises

  137. instead of merely waiting on them?

  138. I'll tell you why.

  139. Because that's not a fulfillment

  140. of God's promise.

  141. That's manipulating our way

  142. and trying to make it look good,

  143. and it never works like that.

  144. Sarai was wrong to suggest it.

  145. Abram was wrong to go along with it.

  146. Because when God speaks

  147. through His Word

  148. and personalized to your life

  149. by the Holy Spirit of God,

  150. listen to God,

  151. not to others.

  152. People mean well.

  153. And some of them

  154. are looking out

  155. for your best interest.

  156. But they only have

  157. their own personal insight,

  158. which might be good,

  159. but it's not great.

  160. And God's insight's not only great,

  161. but it's perfect.

  162. And so listen to God.

  163. It's a bad day

  164. when somebody tries

  165. to fix God's plan

  166. because they,

  167. by listening to other people

  168. instead of God,

  169. that's when we try

  170. to fix God's plan.

  171. I'll tell you what else

  172. can happen

  173. when we try to fix God's plan.

  174. We try to justify

  175. what is blatant sin.

  176. Because this sinful plan

  177. was contrived by Sarai.

  178. God had given them

  179. a promise of a coming child,

  180. and she felt like

  181. it was her job

  182. to make it happen.

  183. And when it seemed

  184. she had failed,

  185. she turned to other means,

  186. and her mistake was

  187. she tried to fix God's plan.

  188. If God makes a plan,

  189. He don't need you

  190. to fix it.

  191. God will see it through.

  192. And it is,

  193. if it's from God,

  194. it does not depend on you

  195. to make it happen.

  196. All you have to do

  197. is to obey the Lord.

  198. do what He tells you to do.

  199. Do what He tells you to do

  200. and trust Him.

  201. It will not be

  202. on your timetable.

  203. I can't prove it's,

  204. it'll always surprise you,

  205. but I can tell you

  206. it'll probably always surprise you.

  207. God will move quicker

  208. than you think He will.

  209. God will move slower

  210. than you think He will.

  211. It's not your timetable,

  212. it's His.

  213. He developed chronology.

  214. He can handle it.

  215. And when you try to fix it,

  216. it'll cause problems.

  217. That's what happens.

  218. Hudson Taylor put it this way,

  219. he said,

  220. God's work done in God's way

  221. will never lack God's supply.

  222. However,

  223. having said that,

  224. I want you to understand

  225. that what they did

  226. was completely normal

  227. and acceptable

  228. in their society.

  229. It was the custom

  230. for a childless wife

  231. to permit her husband

  232. to take a servant

  233. as a second wife.

  234. And the offspring

  235. from that relationship

  236. was actually thought of

  237. as the child

  238. of the first wife.

  239. But I want you

  240. to hear me, folks.

  241. In 2023,

  242. it is just as relevant

  243. as it was in that year,

  244. I promise you.

  245. I want you to hear me.

  246. When society says it's right,

  247. it does not mean it's right.

  248. When society says

  249. that we can

  250. choose our gender

  251. and ignore

  252. the chromosomal makeup

  253. that God gave us,

  254. that's not right.

  255. You can't do that.

  256. When society says

  257. that you can murder

  258. a child in the womb

  259. because it's your choice,

  260. that's not right.

  261. completely normal

  262. to think that way

  263. in our society,

  264. but it's not right.

  265. When the moral codes

  266. of sexual acts

  267. are not based upon

  268. Scripture,

  269. but instead on the

  270. slippery slope

  271. of society,

  272. and that'll

  273. consist of

  274. unthinkable things

  275. that are accepted

  276. and applauded

  277. that does not

  278. make it right,

  279. if you're trying

  280. to figure out

  281. from the winds

  282. of culture

  283. what's right

  284. and what's wrong,

  285. just wait a minute.

  286. It'll change.

  287. But God's Word

  288. never changes.

  289. And I want you

  290. to hear me today.

  291. When society says

  292. that a Bible-believing

  293. and preaching church

  294. is one that's filled

  295. with bigotry

  296. and hatred,

  297. that does not

  298. mean it's true.

  299. Truth and love

  300. is Scripture.

  301. But I'm telling you,

  302. I feel a responsibility

  303. when you get inundated

  304. daily

  305. through our world

  306. in confusing matters

  307. that are

  308. making our world

  309. into a chaotic,

  310. perverted place,

  311. you need to hear

  312. the truth.

  313. and it needs

  314. to be clear.

  315. All of these matters

  316. are blatant sins

  317. and God does not

  318. ignore it

  319. and we cannot

  320. justify it.

  321. Sarai was just

  322. listening to society.

  323. That's what she did.

  324. However,

  325. if Sarai's going

  326. to get thrown

  327. under the bus,

  328. so is Abram.

  329. But they can't

  330. because they didn't

  331. actually have a bus.

  332. So,

  333. she's trying

  334. to please her husband

  335. but you don't

  336. sin against God

  337. to please anybody.

  338. And Abram knew better.

  339. He knew better.

  340. He had been living

  341. in Canaan

  342. for 10 years.

  343. He knew God

  344. would provide.

  345. But it's when

  346. we second guess

  347. God

  348. that we get in trouble.

  349. This is the time

  350. that Abram

  351. should have taken

  352. to sit down

  353. with his family

  354. and to lead them

  355. and to look

  356. at his wife

  357. and say,

  358. honey,

  359. this is not

  360. how we're going

  361. to do it.

  362. I believe God

  363. will provide

  364. what he said

  365. he will provide.

  366. I mean,

  367. I'm going to trust

  368. God in this matter.

  369. Now,

  370. he's an old man.

  371. So,

  372. it's easy

  373. to see

  374. why he's

  375. listening to voices

  376. instead of to God

  377. but

  378. because he's

  379. giving up hope

  380. but you never

  381. have to give up

  382. hope on the Lord.

  383. He's always faithful

  384. and he's always

  385. on time

  386. and it's never

  387. going to be

  388. on your timetable.

  389. It's always

  390. going to be

  391. on his.

  392. Abram

  393. should have

  394. just told his

  395. family that.

  396. Should have

  397. told his wife

  398. that.

  399. Thank you,

  400. ma'am,

  401. for looking

  402. out for me

  403. but no,

  404. I'd rather not

  405. but he didn't

  406. and I want

  407. you to understand

  408. that it was

  409. Abram

  410. that God

  411. had come to.

  412. It was Abram

  413. that God

  414. had spoke to.

  415. Sarai

  416. had not

  417. experienced

  418. that covenant

  419. experience.

  420. She wasn't

  421. there when the

  422. presence of the

  423. Lord came

  424. through in that

  425. fire.

  426. God's

  427. working in

  428. him.

  429. She was

  430. just going

  431. along with

  432. the flow

  433. that if it's

  434. normal in

  435. society,

  436. I guess it's

  437. okay and it's

  438. not.

  439. And when we

  440. try to fix

  441. God's plan,

  442. we will try

  443. to justify

  444. blatant sin.

  445. But not only

  446. that,

  447. when we try

  448. to fix

  449. God's plan,

  450. we'll cause

  451. contention.

  452. we will.

  453. We get

  454. petty when

  455. we act

  456. in the

  457. flesh.

  458. I mean,

  459. we do.

  460. We become

  461. jealous.

  462. We become

  463. angry,

  464. become

  465. paranoid,

  466. selfish.

  467. We just

  468. get ugly.

  469. And now

  470. there's a

  471. rivalry between

  472. Hagar and

  473. Sarai and

  474. no wonder

  475. because now

  476. Hagar is

  477. holding this

  478. over Sarai's

  479. head.

  480. And so

  481. Sarai blames

  482. Abram.

  483. Now remember,

  484. she's the one

  485. that came up

  486. with a plan.

  487. But she

  488. blames Abram.

  489. Ladies,

  490. it's never

  491. our fault,

  492. okay?

  493. What does

  494. Abram do?

  495. I mean,

  496. he's like a

  497. lightweight boxer.

  498. He's bobbing

  499. and weaving

  500. and trying to

  501. stay out from,

  502. you know,

  503. y'all work

  504. this out,

  505. you know.

  506. Sarai mistreats

  507. her and

  508. Hagar runs

  509. away.

  510. Why?

  511. Because they

  512. wanted to fix

  513. God's plan.

  514. God does

  515. not need

  516. our help.

  517. What's

  518. you trusting

  519. God for

  520. today?

  521. what is it

  522. in your life

  523. that you're

  524. holding on to

  525. that you need

  526. to let go

  527. of?

  528. What is it

  529. about God's

  530. plan and

  531. about what

  532. His word

  533. has shown

  534. you and

  535. about how

  536. what He

  537. has convicted

  538. you of

  539. or has

  540. He given

  541. you direction

  542. of and

  543. you

  544. and you're

  545. going to

  546. pause

  547. and you're

  548. going to

  549. wait and

  550. try to

  551. fix it

  552. first.

  553. That's

  554. what I'm

  555. talking about.

  556. Whatever

  557. that is.

  558. Let me

  559. tell you

  560. what God

  561. wants.

  562. God does

  563. not want

  564. our help

  565. in fulfilling

  566. the plan

  567. that He's

  568. promised to

  569. us.

  570. God wants

  571. our obedience.

  572. And

  573. sometimes

  574. He holds

  575. out a

  576. little

  577. longer or

  578. a lot

  579. longer than

  580. we wish He

  581. would to

  582. grow our

  583. faith and

  584. trust in

  585. Him.

  586. You say,

  587. well, that

  588. wouldn't be my

  589. plan.

  590. He didn't

  591. ask you.

  592. It's His

  593. plan.

  594. We follow

  595. His plan.

  596. What God

  597. comes up

  598. with, God

  599. can handle.

  600. He don't

  601. need your

  602. help.

  603. He just

  604. wants your

  605. obedience.

  606. It's not

  607. too hard

  608. for Him.

  609. But when

  610. we sin in

  611. an effort

  612. to fix

  613. the plan

  614. of God,

  615. we cause

  616. damage

  617. bigger

  618. than it

  619. first appears.

  620. Israel.

  621. This is an

  622. out-of-wedlock

  623. birth that

  624. started a

  625. war-torn

  626. relationship

  627. between Israel

  628. and the

  629. Arab people

  630. that make

  631. up so much

  632. of history.

  633. Ishmael

  634. would be

  635. born and

  636. the twelve

  637. tribes of

  638. Ishmael

  639. would be

  640. absorbed into

  641. the Assyrians

  642. and then the

  643. Babylonians.

  644. And if you

  645. know anything

  646. about biblical

  647. history, you

  648. know that they

  649. always caused

  650. havoc for the

  651. people of

  652. Israel.

  653. In verse 12

  654. of this passage,

  655. Ishmael, the

  656. coming offspring

  657. is described as

  658. a wild donkey

  659. of a man, his

  660. hand against

  661. everyone and

  662. everyone's hand

  663. against him and

  664. he shall dwell

  665. over and against

  666. all his

  667. kinsmen.

  668. A donkey is

  669. resourceful unless

  670. he's wild and

  671. against everybody.

  672. God says,

  673. that's what your

  674. son will be.

  675. And history

  676. has proven it's

  677. true.

  678. Sin and its

  679. ramifications are

  680. kind of like the

  681. side mirrors in a

  682. car.

  683. Long time ago,

  684. when they put

  685. mirrors on cars,

  686. they had a little

  687. message on the

  688. bottom of it.

  689. Some of y'all

  690. remember it.

  691. It said,

  692. objects are closer

  693. than they appear.

  694. It means stay in

  695. your lane is what

  696. it means, okay?

  697. They didn't have

  698. blindside monitors

  699. to go on off in

  700. your mirror.

  701. You just had to

  702. trust it and it

  703. was saying don't

  704. trust it.

  705. And I will tell you

  706. the ramifications of

  707. sin are always

  708. larger than they

  709. appear.

  710. They are.

  711. But thank God,

  712. when we try to fix

  713. the plan of God,

  714. God's not absent.

  715. He's not absent.

  716. This sense that God

  717. was not responding

  718. and was not going

  719. to led to this

  720. whole problem,

  721. but God knew what

  722. he was doing.

  723. He also didn't give

  724. up on them when

  725. they messed up.

  726. Hagar went away.

  727. The abuse and the

  728. rivalry was too much

  729. for her and she went

  730. away and I want you

  731. to notice what

  732. happens.

  733. It's in verse 7 of

  734. Genesis 16 it says

  735. this, the angel of

  736. the Lord found her

  737. by a spring of water

  738. in the wilderness,

  739. the spring on the

  740. way to Shur.

  741. And he said,

  742. Hagar, servant of

  743. Sarai, where have

  744. you come from and

  745. where are you going?

  746. And she said, I am

  747. fleeing from my

  748. mistress Sarai.

  749. The angel of the

  750. Lord said to her,

  751. return to your

  752. mistress and submit

  753. to her.

  754. The angel of the

  755. Lord also said to

  756. her, I will surely

  757. multiply your

  758. offspring so that

  759. they cannot be

  760. numbered for multitude.

  761. And the angel of the

  762. Lord said to her,

  763. behold you are

  764. pregnant and shall

  765. bear a son and you

  766. shall call his name

  767. Ishmael because the

  768. Lord has listened to

  769. your affliction.

  770. He shall be a wild

  771. donkey of a man, his

  772. hand against everyone

  773. and everyone's hand

  774. against him and he

  775. shall dwell over against

  776. all his kinsmen.

  777. So she called the

  778. name of the Lord who

  779. spoke to her.

  780. You are a God of

  781. seeing for she said

  782. truly here I have

  783. seen him who looks

  784. after me.

  785. Therefore the well

  786. was called Bir-la-hiro.

  787. It lies between

  788. Kadesh and Baird.

  789. And Hagar bore

  790. Abram a son and

  791. Abram called the name

  792. of his son whom

  793. Hagar bore Ishmael.

  794. Abram was 86 years old

  795. when Hagar bore

  796. Ishmael to Abram.

  797. We mess up and feel

  798. the effects of it but I

  799. want you to understand

  800. when we're feeling the

  801. effects of it God does

  802. not abandon us.

  803. You say well it sure

  804. does feel like it.

  805. Well I want you to

  806. understand something that

  807. I've told you before.

  808. God's presence is not

  809. based upon your feelings.

  810. It's based upon his

  811. promises and he will

  812. not leave you.

  813. I want you to notice

  814. something here this

  815. angelical question.

  816. Where have you come

  817. from and where are you

  818. going?

  819. Does God not know where

  820. the girl's been?

  821. I mean you know he knows

  822. where the lady's been.

  823. So why is he asking that

  824. question?

  825. Why would God ask any

  826. question?

  827. God never asks a

  828. question to get the

  829. answer.

  830. God asks a question so

  831. you can think about the

  832. answer.

  833. So you can answer it for

  834. yourself.

  835. He already knows the

  836. answers.

  837. He asks it so that we can

  838. grapple with those

  839. questions in our hearts and

  840. then God tells her to go

  841. home and get back after

  842. it.

  843. And I want you to get

  844. this and I'll close.

  845. When we make a mess of

  846. our lives by not allowing

  847. God's plan but instead

  848. trying to fix God's plan and

  849. we pout about it and we

  850. go off by ourselves it

  851. does us no good.

  852. And God came to her and

  853. said go home and get

  854. after it.

  855. Don't alter the plan of

  856. your life.

  857. Follow the plan of God for

  858. your life.

  859. Now listen for some this

  860. morning that may be major.

  861. I mean God told Jonah to

  862. go west and he turned

  863. around and went east.

  864. He did exactly the opposite

  865. of what God told him to do.

  866. That's major.

  867. It could be what you

  868. consider minor.

  869. It could be stuff that

  870. you're dealing with just

  871. disobediently quite honestly.

  872. You don't think it's a big

  873. deal.

  874. God thinks it's a big deal.

  875. God went to the cross for

  876. the sins in your life that

  877. you think are small.

  878. He died for.

  879. So it is a big deal to him.

  880. Maybe you're dealing with

  881. stuff disobediently or

  882. stuff that you're not

  883. dealing with when God's

  884. telling you to deal with

  885. it.

  886. If so, I want you to do

  887. what God told Hagar to do.

  888. Get up and come home.

  889. He told her you get up and

  890. go back and serve your

  891. master.

  892. God's plan for your life.

  893. And I'm telling you today,

  894. if you know God's plan for

  895. your life does not involve

  896. what you're dealing with and

  897. what you're in the midst of

  898. it, get up and come home and

  899. serve your master and trust him.

  900. Don't try to fix God's plan.

  901. Don't try to alter God's plan.

  902. Don't try to change God's plan.

  903. Trust God's plan.

  904. Follow God's plan.

  905. Honor God's plan.

  906. And God will bless your life.

  907. God's plan.

  908. Because a life of obedience is a

  909. blessed life.

  910. It's not our job to fix God's plan.

  911. It's our job to fix our eyes on

  912. God's plan.

  913. To fix our minds on God's plan.

  914. To fix our hearts on God's plan.

  915. And then to do it.

  916. Whatever it is.

  917. With every head bow and every eye

  918. close this morning.

  919. I'm not going to even try to

  920. guess this morning.

  921. Where this hits you.

  922. Because for some you need to

  923. make a bold step of obedience.

  924. It's not about that there's

  925. things in your life that are

  926. just you know blatant sins

  927. against God.

  928. It's just that God's leading

  929. you in an area and you're you

  930. kind of struggle to follow

  931. through with that and it's time

  932. to follow through with that.

  933. You know.

  934. Man we live in a society of

  935. uncommitted people and the

  936. reality is if you're not

  937. committed to Christ you're

  938. committed to something and so

  939. we just need to be committed.

  940. Maybe you're here this morning

  941. and that there is some blatant

  942. sin in your life and maybe it's

  943. blatant but nobody else knows

  944. about it but you but I mean it's

  945. real and it presses on you and

  946. you know it's not part of God's

  947. plan for your life and you've

  948. done your own deal and went your

  949. own way and you not wanted to

  950. give up that little area of your

  951. life.

  952. Well it's time to give it up.

  953. It's time to get up and come home

  954. and serve the master in that area

  955. of your life.

  956. Maybe you're here this morning and

  957. you've never surrendered your life

  958. to follow the Lord Jesus Christ.

  959. You never have.

  960. Never been a time when you can go

  961. back and say Lord I committed my

  962. life to you and I trusted you and

  963. asked you to forgive me and to save

  964. me.

  965. And if that's never happened to

  966. you I want you to know that today

  967. is the day of salvation.

  968. We're going to stand in just a

  969. moment and we're going to sing and

  970. the most important thing you can

  971. do is obey God.

  972. You come down this aisle I'll be

  973. happy to help you know what it

  974. means to have a personal

  975. relationship with Christ.

  976. Maybe you've done that but there's

  977. areas of your life that you need

  978. to get right with God.

  979. You deal with that.

  980. You can deal with it where you

  981. are.

  982. You can deal with it at this altar.

  983. You can have a pastor pray with

  984. you.

  985. However God tells you to do it.

  986. Maybe you're a guest with us and

  987. you feel like God's drawing you to

  988. be a part of this fellowship.

  989. As a matter of fact you know

  990. that's God's plan.

  991. You're just kind of putting it

  992. off because you're not sure.

  993. Just follow God's plan.

  994. Just do what he tells you to do.

  995. Maybe you've made a private

  996. decision for the Lord but you've

  997. never made it public through

  998. baptism.

  999. We had the joy last week of

  1000. baptizing.

1001. Have more candidates that we're

  1002. counseling now.

1003. Maybe when you look at your life

1004. the reality is that you've never

1005. been baptized as a believer and

1006. you need to obey God in that.

1007. I have no idea what God's doing

1008. in your life today but I pray that

1009. he is and I pray that you'll be

  1010. obedient.

1011. I'll never ask you to do anything

1012. more than what God tells you to do

1013. and I never want you to be

1014. satisfied with doing anything less.

1015. Lord Jesus I love you and I thank

1016. you for your love for us.

1017. I thank you Lord for your love for

1018. every person in this place today.

1019. And I ask dear God that you'll move

1020. and you'll work in their lives.

1021. That you'll speak to them

  1022. individually dear God.

1023. Let them know exactly what you'd

1024. have them to do and give them a

1025. boldness and a surrender as can

1026. only come from you dear God.

1027. To just simply follow you Lord I

  1028. pray.

  1029. In Jesus precious name.

  1030. Amen.
