  1. Bibles turn to Ephesians chapter 6, Ephesians chapter 6, we've spent several weeks studying

Ephesians 6 chapter mention Ephesians 6 chapter mention

  2. the enemy and struggle with that some because it's not an attempt to glamorize the evil

  3. one, to focus us on the evil one, but instead to educate us on the evil one because he's

  4. dark and he's diabolical and he's deadly and he's dirty. Jesus told us in John 10, 10 that

  5. he comes for the only reason, to steal and to kill and to destroy. I'm going to tell you

  6. something, he don't want to give you a headache, he wants to ruin your life. He wants to set

  7. your kids off course, he wants to ruin your marriage, he wants to upset your family, he

  8. wants to weaken your church, he wants to blow your mind. He's not playing, he's dangerous

  9. and dirty and he's not straightforward in how he does it. He's diabolical, he is not hurtful,

  10. he's deadly. It's guerrilla warfare and it's filled with sabotage, filled with subversion.

  11. He'll lie to you. He'll lie to you about you, even in ways that he'll quote scripture to you and

  12. he'll twist and turn that scripture into mistruth or he'll misquote it to you. He'll fill you with

  13. filth and then let you feel justified by it. He prowls around for an opportunity and then roars

  14. as if he's unable to be defeated. And I want to be clear, he hates the gospel.

  15. He hates the gospel and encourages false parodies of the real message of the gospel.

  16. He blinds minds by the loud voices of public opinion, hot trends, current fads. His effort

  17. is the same as it's always been and he fights to make your life worthless. He fights to make

  18. your life baseless. He is at war and his time is limited and he knows it and he's like a wounded

  19. animal. He only comes, it often comes when the devil continues to, it's a hellish battle and we get

  20. weary in it, quite honestly. And that weariness comes sometimes when the devil does those body blows

  21. throughout the normal day. And then there are those days, our scripture today calls it the evil day.

  22. In those days, that's kind of the focus of our passage today. You don't have those days every day, but

  23. somebody is having one today. There's a pain on every pew in this place. I don't know what that is,

  24. but the reality is there's people hurting all around us. And it would help if we knew when those days

  25. were coming because if we did, we'd get ready. Therefore, we have to prepare ourselves for whenever it is.

  26. And when you do that, when you prepare for the bad day, the evil day, the life-changing day, when you

  27. prepare for those rough days, you'll also prepare for the every day. I want you to see this this morning.

  28. Ephesians chapter 6, beginning in verse 13, just verse 13, says, therefore, take up the whole armor of God

    Ephesians 6 chapter mention

  29. that you may be able to withstand in the evil day and having done all to stand firm. The Lord wants us

  30. to stand. Trials are going to come. Battles are going to come. Some of them are going to be nasty.

  31. And we're responsible for this. We didn't talk about exposing the enemy for the last few weeks

  32. to not prepare for the battle. And so we are to resist. Or as the scripture puts it here, we are to

  33. stand. I want to tell you how to stand. We are to stand firmly, firmly. I want to be clear. The battle's

  34. bigger than us. Let us not think that we have the stamina or the spiritual strength to stand in the

  35. valley by ourself against the enemy on our own power. It's not going to happen. It's not in our

  36. strength. Our feet are not going to stay planted. We will slip. We'll fall. We need help. And thank

  37. God the Lord will provide you with all that you need. He'll provide me with all that I need. He'll

  38. provide us with all that we need. We can rely on him because he knows the battle plan. He understands

  39. the enemy. He's stronger and better than the enemy. And it's our responsibility to follow

  40. the Lord's instructions and to come out with victory. However, it is not a light manner.

  41. I'm not speaking of stepping deeper into your Christian faith so you can be with the Christian

  42. elite. I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about warfare, folks. I'm simply talking about winning.

  43. And sometimes winning is pretty and sometimes it's not. But folks, we got to win this.

  44. We got to stand firm. When I, Gideon was challenged by God to take on the Midianites. And I try to say

  45. that carefully because I preached on that one morning and we had a group of builders from the

  46. Mennonite church that attended our congregation that morning. And I kept talking about how we need to

  47. defeat the Midianites. And they got offended by me because I thought I was talking about the Mennonites.

  48. But anyway, he had an army of 32,000. And he told them, if you're scared, on the Lord's instruction,

  49. he said, if you're scared, go home. And 10,000 were left.

  50. I spoke to football teams on Friday afternoon for about 30 years. And when I gave to this story,

  51. I'd always say, men, if you're scared, go home. Tell the coach because you won't amount to anything

  52. on a ball field if you're scared. You won't hold on to the ball. You won't catch the ball.

  53. You won't make the impact. Go home. You're not going to help us. And church, let me tell you

  54. something. If we flinch in the battle, we are not standing firmly and we are susceptible to fall.

  55. Period. There's no excuses. We have to stand firmly. We also have to stand completely,

  56. completely. Take up the whole armor of God. And we'll talk about the pieces of this armor

  57. in the next few weeks, about how the truth holds everything together and how righteousness protects

  58. us, how we need to be ready with the gospel and letting our faith lead and trusting in our salvation.

  59. And we'll talk about the fact that the only offensive weapon that we have is the Word of God.

  60. That's it. The sword of the Word of God. However, I want you to know from the get-go that we don't

  61. need to, we don't cherry pick through the spiritual attributes that we'd like to have. We don't

  62. cherry pick through our strengths. We don't cherry pick through our resources that we're hoping to

  63. lean on. The reality is the army that we represent establishes the battle gear. We strap on what the

  64. commander tells us to strap on and we need to be able to stand in the evil day. Now, when it speaks of

  65. the evil day, it's not talking about the last spiritual battle on earth, it's not talking about

  66. the last day of some apocalyptic battle. It talks about any day regardless. And we don't know when

  67. that day's coming. Remember the strategy of the evil one. If you understand his strategy,

  68. you'll know that he hits when you least expect it.

  69. You got to gird up every day, not just for certain days. And when you do that, you'll be prepared for

  70. when those certain days come along. And he can hit at any time. When I was in seminary, I lived in South

  71. Mississippi and met my wife and we married. And shortly after that, we moved to South Carolina.

  72. And I don't remember, I'm sure they had them, but I don't remember a tornado siren in South Mississippi.

  73. Maybe I was just too busy doing Greek and Hebrew and commuting to New Orleans. I don't know, but I

  74. don't remember that. But when I moved to North Mississippi, they had tornado sirens. And I'd never

  75. heard that before. And so what I was familiar with was a nuclear siren, for instance, you know.

  76. And so when we were in our first storm like that, that siren went off and we had a yard full of trees

  77. and so we got in the car, got the dog in the car, got some sorry weather radio that we bought on sale

  78. and put it in the car, found out how sorry it was during that storm. And we went to the church because

  79. outside of my study was a closet that was made of cinder block and there was no trees around. So we

  80. we hunkered down right in the middle of that facility to watch and see what was going on.

  81. But when we were on our way there, the siren was getting louder and louder and louder. And that was

  82. new to me. I didn't quite understand that. And I thought this tornado is chasing us.

  83. And what I didn't realize is the siren's not hooked to the tornado. It's hooked to the pole that we were

  84. driving near. And as we got closer to the pole, the louder it got. That's how freaked out we were.

  85. My family will freak me out like that. I'm supposed to be the calm one. They panic and get me fired up.

  86. And in the midst of that, in 2011, we had catastrophic storms in our county. Two tornadoes,

  87. 12 hours apart, crossed paths with each other, killing people, destroying homes. It was horrible.

  88. And FEMA came in, or as the old boy in the church called her, FEMA, came in. But when he broke his

  89. leg, he said he broke his FEMA. So I think he got mixed up. But anyway, but FEMA came in and said,

  90. if you can buy a storm shelter and we'll pay you back, it was either 75 or 80 percent of the money.

  91. So we went into prayerful discussion of whether the government ever pays you back

  92. and bought a storm shelter, big concrete block made by a septic tank company. Basically,

  93. two septic tanks put on top of each other with a big door inside of it. Basically what it was.

  94. And we put it behind a building in the backyard. And I told my family, I said, I bought that building

  95. so y'all can go out there when the storm comes. Leave me in the house to die. I'd rather die in the house

  96. and be in that box with y'all. So that's...

  97. But in 1936, Tupelo, Mississippi was wiped away. They didn't have sirens.

  98. An F-5 tornado came through and leveled 48 city blocks. Up to a thousand homes were destroyed

  99. and at least 216 people died. Among the survivors was a one-year-old boy named Elvis. Elvis Presley.

  100. Now, what was the difference? An F-5 and no warning. Even when we bought that big old concrete block

  101. and put it in the backyard, they told us, we don't guarantee this against an F-5. They're different.

  102. Two-by-four will go through solid concrete and an F-5. I don't understand that. I'm just

  103. telling you what the salesman told me. I'm sure he was telling the truth.

  104. You can't even completely prepare for that tornado. But if you don't know it's coming,

  105. there's little you can do to prepare yourself and be saved.

  106. And I want you to understand something. I prepared this message two weeks ago in preparation

  107. for last Sunday. Seven o'clock Sunday morning. God changed my tune last Sunday morning and I preached

  108. a different message. I had no idea when I put this image in this slideshow of what we would experience

  109. over the last few days. What North Carolina, looks a lot like that in some cases, would experience.

  110. We had some warning. Not quite three feet of water coming into a valley. That didn't prepare us for

  111. that. I remember seeing 12 to 15 inches. But we had some warning. But Tupelo had no warning.

  112. Didn't know it was coming. And it so devastated that area and they became so familiar with it that it got

  113. their attention. Because tornadoes often go in the same places often. And it's went through tornado.

  114. We lived 15 years in North Mississippi and Tupelo got hit hard at least twice in that amount of time.

  115. Interesting to see how that happens. Let me tell you something. The devil comes rolling through like a tornado

  116. and we don't know when. There's not a siren that goes off.

  117. But we can prepare for it. And the key is to always be ready. He's a prowler and he's a lurker and so he

  118. knows when to hit. He knows when you're on your game. He knows when you're not. He can come at you as a

  119. roaring lion, clawing as he knocks you off your feet. Or he can come as an angel of light,

  120. camouflaged as something good and seductively and luringly lead you away but with a venomous bite.

  121. He'll come after you when you're tired.

  122. He'll come after you when you're depressed.

  123. He'll come after you when you're discouraged. He'll come after you when you're disgruntled.

  124. He'll come after you when you're not feeling good.

  125. We don't have power yet.

  126. We live right here in the city. We don't have power.

  127. We've been picked out about five people that don't have power.

  128. Right there in our little area.

  129. And I am thankful.

  130. I am thankful that I'm not experiencing what so many other people

  131. are experiencing. I am very thankful for that.

  132. But I'm just going to tell you, I heard that generator one too many times.

  133. Yesterday morning. And it just got me.

  134. It just got me. And I began to feel myself

  135. just kind of sinking.

  136. This is getting old.

  137. And I realized

  138. the evil one just

  139. just wants to mess me up

  140. so I can mess other people up

  141. and not be on my game.

  142. It's what he does.

  143. He'll hit you.

  144. When things aren't right.

  145. When it ain't fair.

  146. He'll hit you.

  147. He carefully strategizes.

  148. He customizes his plan of action against us.

  149. He aims at us

  150. at the right time

  151. and the right place

  152. and the right method.

  153. If you don't think you're being watched

  154. you don't need to worry about big brother.

  155. You need to worry about the evil one.

  156. He keeps up with

  157. our weaknesses

  158. and our strengths.

  159. Sees us when we feel like we're too confident.

  160. Knows when we're on guard.

  161. How do you combat that?

  162. How do you combat that?

  163. Well, you stay ready.

  164. You stay ready with a sense of urgency.

  165. You don't just put pieces of the armor on.

  166. You put the whole armor on.

  167. Not just the helmet.

  168. Not just the mouthpiece.

  169. Not just the padded pants.

  170. You play a ball game

  171. you got to put it all on.

  172. When I was in high school

  173. we had a running back.

  174. Man, that guy could outrun anybody.

  175. If we could just get him to the corner

  176. nobody could beat him down the sidelines.

  177. We were braggadocious.

  178. We were 5-0.

  179. We were ruling the roost

  180. because that boy could run.

  181. Nobody could catch him.

  182. He's a track star.

  183. He was little as he could be.

  184. You couldn't even see him.

  185. But man, he could move the ball.

  186. You could see the ball.

  187. As the season went on

  188. he got popped a few times

  189. and stopped running

  190. and we started losing.

  191. So it kind of changed everything.

  192. But I remember one time he ran

  193. and he got tackled

  194. and his helmet broke.

  195. And the coach said,

  196. Renga!

  197. That's what they called me.

  198. Renga!

  199. So I said,

  200. Well, I'm not a running back

  201. but I'm ready to serve.

  202. I said,

  203. Yes sir.

  204. He said,

  205. Give me your helmet.

  206. The boy can't go out there

  207. with half an outfit.

  208. He's got to have the whole thing.

  209. I won that ball game that night.

  210. Put the whole armor on.

  211. We've got to stand completely, folks.

  212. We've got to stand victoriously.

  213. The scripture says,

  214. Having done all to stand.

  215. That means fully equipped.

  216. That means ready and carrying through.

  217. When the fourth quarter comes

  218. people raise up the four.

  219. You know why?

  220. Because games are won or lost

  221. in the fourth quarter.

  222. You can blow it

  223. or you can win it

  224. in the fourth quarter.

  225. You've got to keep playing.

  226. And if you're in battle,

  227. you've got to keep fighting.

  228. John F. Kennedy,

  229. our 35th president,

  230. was a commissioned naval officer

  231. in World War II.

  232. And in August 1943,

  233. the patrol torpedo boat

  234. that he was in charge of,

  235. PT boat 109,

  236. that he commanded,

  237. was rammed and sunk

  238. by an enemy destroyer

  239. near the Japanese-held

  240. Solomon Islands.

  241. And he and another officer

  242. swam from one enemy-occupied island

  243. to another

  244. looking for friendly islanders.

  245. They finally found some.

  246. They got a message back

  247. to the U.S. forces.

  248. And those in that ship were saved.

  249. It was a heroic act.

  250. And Kennedy was known

  251. as a war hero because of it.

  252. And when they asked him afterwards,

  253. how did you do it?

  254. He said it was involuntary.

  255. They sank my boat.

  256. He had to.

  257. And I'm telling you folks,

  258. listen, child of God,

  259. this ain't an option.

  260. To fail at this

  261. is spiritual treason.

  262. And there are no

  263. participation trophies.

  264. I'm sorry.

  265. 1 Corinthians 16, 13, 14

  266. says this.

  267. Be watchful.

  268. Stand firm in your faith.

  269. Act like men.

  270. Be strong.

  271. Let all that you do

  272. be done in love.

  273. Listen, the thief comes

  274. when you least expect it.

  275. So you need to stand firm

  276. in your faith.

  277. You have to trust God.

  278. You have to follow his lead.

  279. The Apostle Paul warned us,

  280. and I've read this passage before,

  281. and I'll read it again.

  282. I think you ought to

  283. hang your hat on it.

  284. 1 Corinthians 10, 13,

  285. no temptation has overtaken you

  286. except what's common to man.

  287. You are not an exception

  288. to the rule.

  289. The devil plays the same games

  290. with all of us,

  291. quite honestly.

  292. God is faithful.

  293. He will not let you be tempted

  294. beyond your ability,

  295. but thank God.

  296. But with the temptation,

  297. he'll provide the way of escape

  298. that you may be able

  299. to endure it.

  300. God will step in

  301. if we'll turn to the Lord.

  302. This passage in 1 Corinthians

  303. 16, 13, 14 says,

  304. stand firm in your faith.

  305. And then it says,

  306. act like men.

  307. And sadly,

  308. we live in a day

  309. when I need to explain

  310. what that means.

  311. The feminization of America

  312. requires me to be clear,

  313. and I'll probably upset someone.

  314. I'm sorry,

  315. but I'm going to tell the truth.

  316. When Scripture says,

  317. act like men,

  318. it means act like someone

  319. who will protect

  320. what's precious to him.

  321. When it says act like men,

  322. it means act like somebody

  323. who will be courageous

  324. when the enemy comes,

  325. somebody who will be valiant,

  326. somebody who will stand their ground.

  327. And then it goes on

  328. in the next phrase

  329. to say,

  330. be strong.

  331. Don't quit.

  332. We have a lot of males today

  333. that quit.

  334. They quit on their family.

  335. They quit standing

  336. for what is right.

  337. They quit living morally.

  338. They quit having a zeal

  339. for the Lord.

  340. And it's a sad sight to see,

  341. to see somebody

  342. who walked with the Lord faithfully

  343. and just tapered off over time

  344. and now is distant from the Lord

  345. and don't even recognize it.

  346. I meet with men

  347. on Tuesday mornings,

  348. every Tuesday morning

  349. at 6 a.m.

  350. and at 9 a.m.

  351. to basically say,

  352. don't quit.

  353. Men, don't quit.

  354. Don't quit.

  355. You get tired,

  356. I'm tired too,

  357. but don't quit.

  358. Ralph Waldo Emerson

  359. says this,

  360. the hero is no braver

  361. than an ordinary man.

  362. He's just brave

  363. five minutes longer.

  364. You stand until the fight's done.

  365. You don't back up.

  366. Faithful to the end

  367. from this day forward.

  368. Because I want you to remember,

  369. ladies and gentlemen,

  370. you're not fighting for victory.

  371. You're fighting from victory.

  372. Christ has already won.

  373. And because he's won,

  374. we can claim that.

  375. He has,

  376. 1 John 4,

    1 John 4:4

  377. verse 4 says,

  378. he who is in you

  379. is greater

  380. than he who's in the world.

  381. And because he's won,

  382. thank God,

  383. your faith in him

  384. will lead us

  385. to victory.

  386. We're to stand victoriously.

  387. Lastly,

  388. we're to stand gloriously.

  389. How do you stand?

  390. You put the whole armor on.

  391. What a powerful statement

  392. that armor is.

  393. It's like a military man

  394. dressed in dress blues,

  395. but yet still ready for battle.

  396. The armor reeks of power.

  397. The Apostle Paul

  398. is who penned these words,

  399. and he's intimately aware

  400. of the Roman army.

  401. He was chained

  402. to a Roman guard in prison.

  403. He knows what they wear.

  404. He knows that they represent,

  405. at the time,

  406. the greatest army of the world.

  407. He knows that they dominated

  408. the known world for a time.

  409. Their reputation

  410. went before them.

  411. Roman soldiers

  412. had the respect

  413. not only of their own citizens,

  414. they had the respect

  415. of the rest of the world.

  416. Their military army

  417. was not wasteful.

  418. It was not inconsistent.

  419. It didn't waver.

  420. The authority

  421. of all the empire

  422. was represented

  423. by the armor

  424. of the Roman soldier.

  425. But folks,

  426. we're not talking

  427. about the power

  428. of the Roman army

  429. in our situation.

  430. We're not talking

  431. about the prestige

  432. of the Roman army

  433. in our situation.

  434. We're not talking

  435. about the reputation

  436. of the Roman army

  437. in our situation.

  438. We are,

  439. I am telling us

  440. to stand

  441. in the strength

  442. of the strongest army

  443. in the known world

  444. for a season.

  445. We're talking about

  446. putting on

  447. the full armor of God.

  448. You want to stand

  449. in the might of God?

  450. You want to stand

  451. victorious for the Lord?

  452. You want the power

  453. of God working

  454. through your lives

  455. to win the daily battles,

  456. to deal with

  457. the daily struggle,

  458. to fight all hell

  459. when temptation hits,

  460. when difficulty comes,

  461. when worldliness seeps in?

  462. If we do that,

  463. then we're to put on

  464. not the mighty armor

  465. of Rome,

  466. but the glorious,

  467. almighty,

  468. ever victorious armor

  469. of a living Lord

  470. who came and lived

  471. and died on a cruel cross

  472. and rose again

  473. so that we could stand

  474. gloriously in the midst

  475. of spiritual battles

  476. we face.

  477. I'm telling you

  478. we ought to gloriously

  479. stand for the Lord.

  480. 1 Peter 5,

  481. 9 through 11,

  482. I've leaned on a lot

  483. the last few weeks.

  484. I've shared it a lot

  485. and I don't apologize

  486. for that.

  487. Resist Him.

  488. Firm in your faith

  489. and after you've suffered

  490. a little while

  491. the God of all grace

  492. who's called you

  493. to His eternal glory

  494. in Christ,

  495. listen to what He'll do

  496. for you.

  497. with Himself restore,

  498. will Himself restore,

  499. confirm,

  500. strengthen,

  501. and establish you.

  502. To Him

  503. be dominion

  504. forever and ever.

  505. Amen.

  506. How do we stand

  507. victorious?

  508. Only in Christ.

  509. And when we turn

  510. that over to the Lord,

  511. whatever it is, folks,

  512. I'm not making light

  513. of it.

  514. I know in your life

  515. it may be very serious,

  516. it may be very weighty,

  517. it may be very difficult

  518. to deal with.

  519. There are beat down,

  520. shackled people

  521. in this room.

  522. I don't know who you are,

  523. but I know how

  524. the evil one is.

  525. And I'm telling you,

  526. whatever that is,

  527. turn that over

  528. to the Lord

  529. and we win.

  530. Revelation 12, 11

  531. says that we'll conquer

  532. Satan by the blood

  533. of the Lamb

  534. and by the word

  535. of the testimony.

  536. Stand firm

  537. in the Lord.

  538. Not just in the major battles,

  539. not just when

  540. all is on the line,

  541. not just when you feel

  542. an added weight.

  543. Stand firm

  544. in the Lord daily.

  545. Stand firm

  546. in the Lord

  547. right now.

  548. Stand firm

  549. when you leave

  550. this place.

  551. Stand firm

  552. when you feel

  553. like you're alone.

  554. Stand firm

  555. when Monday

  556. hits you right

  557. in the face.

  558. Stand firm

  559. when your pet sin

  560. that you've been

  561. nursing creeps back in.

  562. Stand

  563. for the Lord.

  564. 2 Corinthians

    2 Corinthians 2:15–17

  565. 2 verse 15

  566. through 17

  567. says this.

  568. So then brothers,

  569. stand firm

  570. and hold

  571. to the traditions

  572. that you were

  573. taught by us

  574. either by our

  575. spoken word

  576. or by our letter.

  577. In other words,

  578. the word of God.

  579. Now may our Lord

  580. Jesus himself

  581. and God our Father

  582. who loved us

  583. and gave us

  584. eternal comfort

  585. and good hope

  586. through grace

  587. comfort your hearts

  588. and establish

  589. in every good

  590. work

  591. and word.

  592. May God

  593. lead us

  594. and may we

  595. stand with Christ

  596. and be victorious

  597. gloriously

  598. not for our honor

  599. but for

  600. his honor.

  601. With every head bowed

  602. and every eye closed,

  603. I want to ask you today,

  604. has there ever been

  605. a time in your life

  606. when you've surrendered

  607. your life

  608. to the Lord Jesus Christ.

  609. He's asking

  610. to forgive you

  611. of your sins

  612. and to come into

  613. your life

  614. and to change you

  615. and you've committed

  616. your life to Christ.

  617. Seven people

  618. we baptized this morning

  619. have all committed

  620. their life to Christ.

  621. Surrender to the Lord.

  622. That's the only way

  623. you're going to have

  624. strength to fight

  625. the battles

  626. in which you do.

  627. The devil will try

  628. his best to deceive you

  629. to keep you

  630. from making a commitment

  631. to Christ.

  632. You can't live up to it.

  633. Well,

  634. he's right.

  635. You can't live up to it

  636. but thank God

  637. by the blood of the Lamb

  638. he gives us the strength to.

  639. You surrender your life

  640. to the Lord today

  641. and he'll give you

  642. victory in your life.

  643. Maybe you're here

  644. and you have done that

  645. and you never acknowledge

  646. the Lord through baptism.

  647. Every time we baptize people

  648. it leads somebody else

  649. to do the same.

  650. Jesus by his commission

  651. and by his example

  652. told us

  653. that we're to proclaim

  654. our faith

  655. through baptism.

  656. It's a first step

  657. of obedience

  658. for a believer.

  659. If you've never been baptized

  660. you come.

  661. I'll talk to you about that

  662. we'll line that up.

  663. Maybe God's leading you

  664. to First Baptist Church.

  665. God's doing a wonderful work

  666. in our church

  667. and I thank God for that.

  668. God's drawing you

  669. I encourage you

  670. to just respond.

  671. I'll guide you

  672. in that process.

  673. Maybe you're here

  674. and you're just shackled

  675. you're just burdened.

  676. You just got stuff going on.

  677. You're having trouble standing.

  678. I want you to know

  679. we're here today

  680. to encourage you

  681. to call upon the Lord

  682. and let him hold you up.

  683. We can be victorious.

  684. We can get through this

  685. and I encourage you

  686. to follow the Lord Jesus.

  687. Do exactly what

  688. he's told you to do.

  689. I don't know

  690. what God's speaking to you about

  691. but I encourage you

  692. to simply be obedient

  693. and do exactly

  694. what he tells you to do.

  695. Nothing more

  696. or nothing less

  697. and he'll be honored

  698. and he'll be pleased

  699. and he'll give you

  700. the strength to do

  701. exactly what he's told you to do.

  702. Lord Jesus I love you

  703. and I thank you

  704. for these dear people.

  705. I ask that you'll move

  706. and you'll work right now

  707. and help us to follow

  708. your lead

  709. in everything that you tell us to.

  710. Give us a courage

  711. that's beyond ourselves dear God.

  712. Be clear to us

  713. in what you'd have us to do

  714. and give us the strength

  715. to do it Father I pray

  716. in Jesus precious name.

  717. Amen.

  718. Stand together.
