  1. Mark chapter 1, we're beginning a journey through the gospel of Mark.

    Mark 1 chapter mention

  2. I began three weeks ago talking about the baptism of Jesus because it was baptism Sunday for

  3. ! us and talked about that and then we talked about the man Mark himself who was a teenager

  4. during the ministry of Christ. Historians tell us we're heavily influenced by Peter and much

  5. of what Mark writes is based upon the testimonies of Peter and you can see that how this book will

  6. crescendo into Peter's great statement about you are the Christ the son of the living God. It's

  7. right there in the middle of Mark and then when he gets to that point he just rushes straight to

  8. the cross. Mark writes in a hurry and loves to talk about pronouncing Christ as Lord and Savior

  9. and then to talk about the the cross and last week we looked at John the Baptist and our very first

  10. Southern Baptist but today I want us to continue to last joke I want us to continue to look at

  11. at Mark and see the strength of the ministry of Christ but but also to see where that strength

  12. came from. Mark chapter 1 verse 12 and 13 says this the spirit immediately drove Christ out into the

    Mark 1:12

  13. wilderness right after his baptism and he was in the wilderness 40 days being tempted by Satan and he

  14. was with the wild animals and the angels were ministering to him. The plan of God for the incarnation

  15. of Christ or Christ coming into the flesh was that in Christ's sinless perfection he would die in our

  16. place take upon himself the sin of all the world and then all who will surrender to Christ before during

  17. our after the cross will be saved and forgiven of their sins as Christ has paid the required price of death for us.

  18. 2 Corinthians 5 verse 21 tells us for our sake God made Jesus to be sin who knew no sin so that in him we might

    2 Corinthians 5:21

  19. become the righteousness of God that is the plan of God but Satan wants to thwart that he wants to thwart that in

  20. individual lives he wants to thwart that in church ministry he wanted to thwart that in the life of Christ

  21. and you see it four different ways one is he tried to kill him as a babe with King Herod that was a

  22. satanic attack second he tempts him in the desert our passage today later he'd try to kill him but thank God

  23. after Christ died on the cross he rose again and ascended and is on the throne and since then his fourth way

  24. is that he has declared war on the church

  25. he's declared war on the people of God now today we focus on number two and that is that he

  26. led Jesus into temptation and and wanted to tempt Jesus to get him to fail it says he immediately went

  27. into the wilderness right after his baptism Satan hit him right out of the gate

  28. and he hits him by trying to get him to sin he hits him early before his ministry begins he hits him

  29. when he's most vulnerable he hits him when he's fasting he hits him in a desolate place in a dreary

  30. place in a in a lonely place mark is brief in everything that he says but I want you to notice what he

  31. what he speaks of when he speaks of the temptations in the wilderness one I want you to notice the source

  32. it was the spirit of God that drove Christ into the wilderness that compelled him to go to the desert

  33. the devil didn't drag him out there he didn't just wonder out there I talked to last week about how

  34. John the Baptist was was baptizing and ministering in the wilderness lived in the desert ate locusts and

  35. wild honey and all that kind of stuff and people came uh Jesus came from Nazareth 70 miles away to

  36. to be baptized by him Jerusalem's almost was more than half of that far from from where he was and

  37. and scripture says that all Jerusalem and all Judean country came they were coming long distances to hear

  38. John but but but I want you to understand that Jesus and he went out there to be baptized he didn't

  39. just kind of wander away from John and just happen to be still in the wilderness no scripture tells us

  40. the spirit immediately drove him into the wilderness it was spirit driven

  41. literally also notice the timing it says immediately sometimes translated straightway and uh

  42. uh that is Mark's favorite word probably ethos is a Greek word that's used often in Mark and it's used 59

  43. times in the New Testament 41 of those times it's used in the gospel of Mark and get this 11 of those

  44. times it's used in chapter one it was right after his baptism and the timing of that is is crucial

  45. I want you to also notice the location it was the desert it was the wilderness it was an arid

  46. desolate rough area it's dusty it's dangerous there's rocky peaks there there's craggy cliffs there

  47. there's sheer ravines there it's a difficult place also notice the occasion he was there to be tempted by

  48. Satan Mark tells us he was tempted while he was there but Matthew tells us that he was there to be tempted

  49. Matthew chapter 4 verse 1 says then Jesus was led by the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil

    Matthew 4:1

  50. it does not say that he was tempted by the spirit of God even though the spirit of God drove him into the

  51. desert James 1 verse 13 tells us that God does not tempt anyone but God the father allowed this to happen

    James 1:13

  52. the spirit of God led him to it but our Lord and Savior Jesus had to deal with Satan and he had to defeat

  53. Satan that was his mission that was his ministry and Satan hit him straight out of the gate while he was

  54. vulnerable while he was alone while he was in a tough place and that's often the way the evil one

  55. tempts he'll hit you straight out of the gate

  56. if you're here this morning you get convicted

  57. about sin in your life that you've been struggling with or maybe you've never given your heart and life

  58. to the Lord Jesus Christ and he convicts your heart today and you surrender your life to the Lord Jesus

  59. or you are a Christian but you know there's sin in your life and God convicts you of that and today

  60. you repent of that and to get that right and you want to leave this place right with God doing right

  61. watch out on Monday morning

  62. because when you wake up on the wrong side of the bed the devil will be smiling at you

  63. he loves to hit you straight out of the gate

  64. some of you may not even make it to lunch

  65. today

  66. but he loves to

  67. especially when we get charged

  68. to grow in the Lord he wants to shut that down

  69. he wants to shut that down

  70. I mean if you're playing ball a man gets

  71. I'm ready for football you can tell in a minute

  72. if you're playing ball a man gets a ball in the backfield

  73. it's best to just go ahead and hit him in the backfield

  74. don't let him get his steam up

  75. and that's exactly how Satan loves to do us

  76. he loves to hit us straight out of the gate

  77. it's a satanic strategy

  78. he also hits us when we're most vulnerable

  79. he'll hit us in our weak moments

  80. he'll do it when you feel spiritually weak

  81. he'll do it when you feel physically weak

  82. he'll do it when you feel emotionally weak

  83. he looks for those opportunities

  84. he also does it when we're alone

  85. most of our temptation will come in life when you're in your own head

  86. when you're by yourself

  87. and the random thoughts

  88. or the things that you're exposed to

  89. come about

  90. it's often an attack

  91. and too often the sins that people commit with other sins

  92. are because they didn't take care of it

  93. when they were alone

  94. and when you're in a tough place

  95. a tough place can be a tempting place

  96. a tough place can be a discouraging place

  97. a tough place can be a lonely place

  98. but when you're out of place

  99. Satan attacks

  100. and God was not unaware of that

  101. and God is not unaware of that

  102. he never is unaware of that

  103. he led Christ to the spot

  104. and he led him through it

  105. and I want you to notice how

  106. notice the company

  107. scripture says he was with angels

  108. and with wild beasts

  109. he was being strengthened

  110. and being provided for by angels

  111. and let me run a rabbit a minute

  112. by the way

  113. grandpa that passed

  114. is not your guardian angel

  115. nor is the cardinal that flies into your yard today

  116. when saints go to glory

  117. we don't become angels

  118. you wasn't an angel when you're on earth

  119. you're not an angel when you go to glory

  120. actually we're above angels

  121. we have something angels don't have

  122. and that's redemption

  123. scripture does not tell us

  124. that God provides us a body guard

  125. that will guard us

  126. it does say in Psalm 91 verse 11

    Psalms 91:11

  127. for he will command his angels concerning you

  128. to guard you in all your ways

  129. not an angel but angels

  130. Matthew 19 also speaks of the angelic protection of children

  131. when Christ speaks of

  132. my translation

  133. don't mess with kids

  134. that's what Jesus says

  135. if you cause one to sin

  136. you'd be better to have a millstone

  137. thrown around your neck

  138. that's worse than a cinder block around your ankle folks

  139. and to be thrown into the depths of the sea

  140. Jesus said that

  141. he was serious about it

  142. angels protect

  143. angels provide for

  144. angels strengthen

  145. and they do it all at

  146. get this

  147. get this

  148. they do it all at God's command

  149. God gets the credit

  150. not the angels

  151. not dead relatives

  152. God gets the glory

  153. and so if you leave here today

  154. and are almost in an accident

  155. but you're not in an accident

  156. and you're protected

  157. because angels envelop your car

  158. and took care of you

  159. don't give glory to the angels

  160. give glory to God

  161. because the angels wouldn't have been doing anything

  162. if God hadn't dispatched them to be right there at the time

  163. God gets the glory

  164. I'll say that again

  165. God gets the glory

  166. give God the glory

  167. we get distracted at times

  168. angels ministered to Jesus

  169. how'd they do that?

  170. I like what one commentator said

  171. he said and I quote

  172. envision Jesus sleeping at night

  173. while angels flying around him

  174. welding swords that cut off the scorpion's tail

  175. the leopard's teeth

  176. the jackal's claws

  177. the boar's tusk

  178. and the snake's fangs

  179. end of quote

  180. well I don't know if that's exactly how it went down

  181. but I will tell you that in the area in which Christ was

  182. there are leopards

  183. there are jackals

  184. there are boars

  185. there are snakes

  186. there are scorpions

  187. they inhabit the wilderness that he was in

  188. and it's described that way

  189. to let us know

  190. that Christ was in the desert

  191. dealing with spiritual battles

  192. but he was also dealing with physical battles

  193. and through it all

  194. he was never alone

  195. even when nobody was in the desert with him

  196. he was still never alone

  197. Jesus gives us the same promise in John 14

  198. when he promises us

  199. we will never be alone

  200. I will not leave you alone

  201. I will come to you

  202. he promised he'd come to us

  203. and that God would give us a comforter

  204. the spirit of God

  205. to carry us through those times

  206. Jesus was not alone

  207. he had angels there

  208. he had animals there

  209. and the devil was all mixed in there as well

  210. and that's what Mark tells us

  211. now Mark don't deal with the type of temptations

  212. that Jesus faced

  213. because he's in a hurry

  214. he just tells us that he went there to be tempted

  215. and that he was tempted while he was there

  216. but Matthew 4 gives us a good idea

  217. of what was going on

  218. at the end of his 40 days

  219. he gives us three temptations

  220. that Jesus faced

  221. at the end of the 40 days

  222. scripture is quite clear

  223. that he was tempted throughout those 40 days

  224. but in Mark

  225. excuse me

  226. Matthew chapter 4

    Matthew 4 chapter mention

  227. beginning in verse 1

  228. it says this

  229. then Jesus was led by the spirit into the wilderness

  230. to be tempted by the devil

  231. and after fasting 40 days and 40 nights

  232. he was hungry

  233. and the tempter came and said to him

  234. if you are a son of God

  235. command these stones to become loaves of bread

  236. but he answered

  237. it is written

  238. man shall not live by bread alone

  239. but by every word that comes from the mouth of God

  240. fasting in the desert for 40 days

  241. can easily kill you

  242. especially if you don't have enough water

  243. and in that time of weakness

  244. Satan comes and tempts him

  245. to do a miracle

  246. to find food

  247. now Jesus was in the desert

  248. fasting and praying

  249. and leaning on the father

  250. and that was the point

  251. to provide his own bread

  252. is not leaning upon the father

  253. and being obedient to what the father led him

  254. and that's the rub here

  255. that's the problem

  256. and that's why Jesus quoted scripture

  257. about resting more in the obedience of the word of God

  258. than in our basic desires

  259. but the devil don't stop there

  260. he says in verse 5 of Matthew 4

  261. then the devil took him to the holy city

  262. and sent him on the pinnacle of the temple

  263. and said to him

  264. if you are the son of God

  265. throw yourself down

  266. for it's written

  267. he will command his angels concerning you

  268. and on their hands

  269. they will bear you up

  270. lest you strike your foot against a stone

  271. and Jesus said to him

  272. again it is written

  273. you shall not put the Lord your God to the test

  274. so what the devil does next

  275. the devil threw out the temptation

  276. to jump from the pinnacle of the temple

  277. we believe that probably is referring

  278. to the highest point on the wall of the temple mount

  279. which would be the southeast corner

  280. and if you were to throw yourself off of that

  281. you would throw yourself into the depths

  282. of the Kindred Valley

  283. that separates the Mount of Olives

  284. from the temple mount

  285. it's a deep crevice there

  286. he said do that to prove that God will protect you

  287. his main point was to cause him doubt

  288. to not trust the Lord

  289. but test God

  290. instead

  291. and Christ answered him with scripture

  292. again he answered him with scripture

  293. then the third temptation is mentioned

  294. in verses 8 through 10

  295. it says

  296. again the devil took him to a very high mountain

  297. and showed him all the kingdoms of the world

  298. and their glory

  299. and he said to him

  300. all these I have given you

  301. if you will fall down and worship me

  302. then Jesus said to him

  303. be gone Satan

  304. for it is written

  305. you shall worship the Lord your God

  306. and him only you shall serve

  307. so lastly he tempts Christ

  308. to bow down to him

  309. and in return he could rule the world

  310. and Christ responded

  311. with only worshiping the Father

  312. now what I want you to understand

  313. about these temptations are

  314. I hope you see that

  315. each one of these temptations

  316. is about the direction

  317. and the power

  318. and the positioning

  319. of the ministry

  320. of Christ

  321. the intent of the devil

  322. is to make him sin

  323. by defying God

  324. and choosing a second best route

  325. instead of God's best

  326. the other intent

  327. was to throw him off course

  328. for his whole ministry

  329. because the devil

  330. was not the only one

  331. that was going to try

  332. to persuade Christ

  333. to do things

  334. that he was not led

  335. by God to do

  336. people would do that as well

  337. and I believe

  338. these temptations

  339. kind of precede

  340. what people would expect

  341. out of him

  342. as well

  343. some people just wanted

  344. a savior on their terms

  345. to be able to

  346. have God do

  347. what they wanted him

  348. to do for them

  349. instead of surrendering

  350. their life

  351. to follow him

  352. and trust him

  353. others

  354. really believed

  355. that prophecy

  356. proclaimed him

  357. to be something

  358. different

  359. than who he is

  360. and to do something

  361. different than

  362. what he's done

  363. and this may shock you

  364. but some people

  365. misunderstood prophecy

  366. in that day

  367. and this may shock

  368. even more

  369. some people

  370. misunderstand it today

  371. they sell a lot

  372. of books on it

  373. but they misunderstand it

  374. especially that guy

  375. a great example

  376. is the guy

  377. that wrote the book

  378. called 88 Reasons

  379. Why the Rapture

  380. Will Take Place

  381. in 1988

  382. it's a pretty cheap

  383. book on eBay now

  384. it was a hot seller

  385. at the time

  386. the reality is

  387. people sometimes

  388. want God

  389. to be something

  390. different than

  391. what God is

  392. or wants him

  393. to do something

  394. different for them

  395. than what it's

  396. his will to do

  397. and when Jesus

  398. came out of the desert

  399. he had faced

  400. that kind of temptation

  401. he had been tested

  402. he had been tried

  403. and the challenges

  404. that he faced

  405. by people

  406. after that

  407. never faced him

  408. I don't believe

  409. because he had already

  410. experienced all that

  411. these challenges

  412. were always about

  413. defying the will

  414. of God

  415. and going another way

  416. and that's always

  417. the challenge

  418. of temptations

  419. and every time

  420. we face temptation

  421. we need to remember

  422. some things

  423. I'm going to give you

  424. three

  425. one is

  426. we are not alone

  427. when we're tempted

  428. I told you

  429. that temptation

  430. often comes

  431. when we're alone

  432. but you're not really

  433. alone when you're tempted

  434. for one

  435. the temptation

  436. comes from Satan

  437. and his powers

  438. and principalities

  439. of the air

  440. as Ephesians

  441. talks about

  442. and I'll tell you

  443. it is an attack

  444. so always

  445. keep that in mind

  446. it's bigger

  447. than what we see

  448. and second

  449. the Holy Spirit

  450. of God

  451. is with us

  452. and angels

  453. are dispatched

  454. by our Heavenly Father

  455. and they're there

  456. to assist

  457. and to strengthen

  458. and to guide

  459. and to drag us

  460. out of that

  461. we are not alone

  462. when we're tempted

  463. second thing is this

  464. there's always a way out

  465. the devil would love

  466. for us to think

  467. there's no way out

  468. often I have people

  469. tell me

  470. I didn't have a choice

  471. I had to give in

  472. that's a lie

  473. that smells of smoke

  474. 1 Corinthians 10

  475. 13 says this

  476. no temptation

  477. has overtaken you

  478. that's not common

  479. to man

  480. God is faithful

  481. and he will not

  482. let you be tempted

  483. beyond your ability

  484. but with the temptation

  485. he will also provide

  486. the way of escape

  487. that you may be able

  488. to endure it

  489. and that goes back

  490. to my previous point

  491. you're not alone

  492. ever

  493. there's a way out

  494. and the last thing

  495. when we stand

  496. Satan will flee

  497. you need to rely

  498. on this passage

  499. you need to hear it

  500. you need to digest it

  501. you need to write it down

  502. put it on your dash

  503. put it on your mirror

  504. put it on your head

  505. memorize it

  506. James 4 7

  507. submit yourself

  508. therefore to God

  509. resist the devil

  510. and he'll flee

  511. from you

  512. draw near to God

  513. and he'll draw near

  514. to you

  515. what Jesus do

  516. he relied

  517. on scripture

  518. and I give you

  519. these scriptures

  520. today

  521. to rely on

  522. now notice

  523. what happens

  524. when this season

  525. of the Lord's

  526. temptation

  527. is over

  528. in Luke chapter 4

    Luke 4:13

  529. verse 13

  530. it says

  531. and when the devil

  532. had ended

  533. every temptation

  534. he departed

  535. from him

  536. until an

  537. opportune

  538. time

  539. an opportune

  540. time

  541. means that

  542. Satan

  543. will be back

  544. now scripture

  545. tells us

  546. when we resist

  547. him

  548. he will flee

  549. for a little

  550. while

  551. and the strength

  552. that we have

  553. against the

  554. temptation

  555. that we face

  556. is the word

  557. of God

  558. that's what Jesus

  559. used in the desert

  560. it's what we need

  561. to use

  562. we have to stay

  563. laser focused

  564. on the word

  565. of God

  566. if Jesus

  567. need to rely

  568. on it

  569. how much

  570. more

  571. we need

  572. to rely

  573. on it

  574. and I hope

  575. you understand

  576. that the whole

  577. strategy

  578. of Satan

  579. against Christ

  580. was to change

  581. his focus

  582. on the gospel

  583. to somehow

  584. distort the focus

  585. of the gospel

  586. if he could

  587. kill our hope

  588. by having Jesus

  589. fall into sin

  590. and no longer

  591. be a substitute

  592. for our atonement

  593. then sin wins

  594. and that was his point

  595. or if he could

  596. change the focus

  597. of the ministry

  598. of Christ

  599. from a gospel

  600. driven reliance

  601. upon the father

  602. to instead

  603. a power hungry

  604. miracle driven

  605. reliance

  606. upon popularity

  607. then sin wins

  608. there is no

  609. eternal difference

  610. in a popularity

  611. contest

  612. but thank God

  613. Jesus saw

  614. straight through

  615. his attempted

  616. deceptions

  617. and I'm telling you

  618. by the spirit

  619. of God

  620. we need to

  621. as well

  622. stand

  623. when temptation

  624. comes

  625. stand

  626. stand

  627. stand firm

  628. on the word

  629. of God

  630. you're not alone

  631. stand firm

  632. on the word

  633. of God

  634. no temptation

  635. has come upon

  636. you except

  637. what's common

  638. to man

  639. and God

  640. will always

  641. provide a way

  642. out

  643. stand on the word

  644. of God

  645. stand against

  646. the evil one

  647. and he will

  648. flee

  649. from

  650. you

  651. you can

  652. rest in that

  653. my friend

  654. draw near

  655. to God

  656. and he'll

  657. draw near

  658. to you

  659. we just

  660. have to stay

  661. laser focused

  662. on the hope

  663. that we have

  664. and the hope

  665. that we have

  666. is in the word

  667. of God

  668. and if we

  669. don't rest

  670. on it

  671. if we're not

  672. familiar with it

  673. if it's not

  674. at the tip

  675. of our tongue

  676. when temptations

  677. come

  678. we'll fall

  679. every time

  680. our hope

  681. is found

  682. in the power

  683. of the blood

  684. of Christ

  685. and the strength

  686. of the word

  687. of God

  688. and we

  689. rest our

  690. life on it

  691. now if you've

  692. never done

  693. that

  694. if you've

  695. never surrendered

  696. your life

  697. to the Lord

  698. Jesus Christ

  699. the process

  700. of salvation

  701. is to acknowledge

  702. that you are

  703. a sinner

  704. you've done

  705. wrong

  706. and that you

  707. can't provide

  708. a way out

  709. by yourself

  710. that in reality

  711. you need to

  712. ask the Lord

  713. to forgive you

  714. and to cleanse

  715. you and from

  716. this day forward

  717. you commit

  718. your life

  719. to follow him

  720. it's a decision

  721. that requires

  722. a change

  723. in our direction

  724. that's what

  725. repentance means

  726. it's not just

  727. an intellectual

  728. engagement to it

  729. it's saying

  730. from this day

  731. forward

  732. I'm going to

  733. live

  734. for the Lord

  735. Jesus Christ

  736. I want him

  737. to guide me

  738. in the deserts

  739. of my life

  740. I want to

  741. remember him

  742. on the mountaintops

  743. of my life

  744. I want him

  745. to guide my life

  746. and if you've

  747. never made

  748. that decision

  749. I want you

  750. to know

  751. scripture says

  752. today's the day

  753. of salvation

  754. he'll meet you

  755. where you are

  756. and he'll say

  757. if you think

  758. you have a need

  759. for that

  760. I'll tell you

  761. you didn't

  762. come up

  763. with it

  764. on your own

  765. the spirit

  766. of God

  767. has led you

  768. to this point

  769. and you just

  770. need to follow

  771. his lead

  772. maybe you're

  773. here and you

  774. have done that

  775. but you've

  776. never acknowledged

  777. that publicly

  778. it's been a

  779. private matter

  780. for you

  781. and Jesus

  782. by his example

  783. and by his

  784. commission

  785. tells us

  786. to follow

  787. that with

  788. baptism

  789. it is a

  790. public

  791. confession

  792. of what

  793. Christ has

  794. done in

  795. our heart

  796. and life

  797. you've

  798. never been

  799. baptized

  800. as a

  801. believer

  802. I'll tell

  803. you it's

  804. a major

  805. stumbling

  806. block

  807. in your

  808. Christian

  809. walk

  810. because it's

  811. the first

  812. step of

  813. obedience

  814. and it's

  815. something

  816. that you've

  817. missed

  818. a long

  819. way

  820. so you

  821. just need

  822. to be

  823. obedient

  824. and follow

  825. the Lord

  826. in that

  827. we won't

  828. do it

  829. this morning

  830. but we'll

  831. guide you

  832. through that

  833. prepare for

  834. that in

  835. the days

  836. ahead

  837. maybe you're

  838. here this

  839. morning

  840. God's

  841. leading you

  842. to Pickens

  843. First Baptist

  844. Church

  845. and you

  846. know this

  847. is the

  848. place

  849. where God

  850. would have

  851. you to

  852. serve

  853. you join

  854. with us

  855. let's do

  856. everything we

  857. can till

  858. the Lord

  859. returns

  860. to uplift

  861. his name

  862. to lean

  863. upon his

  864. word

  865. to share

  866. his gospel

  867. or maybe

  868. you're like

  869. a lot

  870. of folks

  871. here

  872. and there's

  873. stuff in your

  874. life that you

  875. need to lay

  876. down before

  877. the Lord

  878. you need to

  879. trust him

  880. with it

  881. you've been

  882. pandering in

  883. stuff you

  884. don't need to

  885. be pandering

  886. in

  887. you've been

  888. dwelling on

  889. thoughts you

  890. don't need to

  891. be dwelling

  892. on

  893. you've been

  894. going places

  895. you don't

  896. need to be

  897. going

  898. and you

  899. need to lay

  900. that down

  901. before the

  902. Lord

  903. you can do

  904. that where

  905. you stand

  906. in just a

  907. moment

  908. you can do

  909. it at this

  910. altar

  911. or I'll be

  912. happy to

  913. pray with

  914. you through

  915. that

  916. but let's

  917. do whatever

  918. we need to

  919. do to get

  920. our hearts

  921. and lives

  922. right today

  923. before we

  924. leave this

  925. place

  926. and then

  927. let's have

  928. our shield

  929. of faith

  930. up and

  931. ready

  932. when the

  933. evil one

  934. picks his

  935. head back

  936. up

  937. and we

  938. go back

  939. to the

  940. word of

  941. God

  942. and stand

  943. firm and

  944. watch him

  945. flee

  946. that's the

  947. goal here

  948. let's get

  949. right

  950. Lord Jesus

  951. I love

  952. you

  953. I thank

  954. you for

  955. your word

  956. I thank

  957. you for

  958. the encouragement

  959. of it

  960. I thank

  961. you for

  962. allowing

  963. Christ

  964. to go

  965. through

  966. it

  967. because he

  968. understands

  969. he's actually

  970. faced every

  971. temptation

  972. that we

  973. face

  974. he

  975. understands

  976. our

  977. circumstances

  978. so God

  979. I pray

  980. that we'll

  981. surrender

  982. our lives

  983. today

  984. and be

  985. obedient

  986. give us

  987. the boldness

  988. and the

  989. obedience

  990. to do

  991. exactly

  992. what you

  993. tell us

  994. to do

  995. right now

  996. Father

  997. I pray

  998. in Jesus

  999. precious name

  1000. amen

  1001. miracle
