  1. In that.

  2. People are often marked by storms.

  3. When I was in college, I preached at churches primarily around the Charlotte area, but all over North Carolina.

  4. ! And one weekend, I stayed with a family overnight.

  5. And I had arrived to their home in the dark.

  6. And the next morning, when I looked out the window in the bathroom, I looked out in the backyard.

  7. I was stunned by the damage that was in their backyard.

  8. And they shared with me how Hurricane Hugo had devastated them.

  9. And over breakfast that morning, they told me about that story.

  10. I went on to New Orleans Seminary.

  11. And while I was in seminary, shortly after I got there, Hurricane Andrew hit South Louisiana.

  12. That's how they say it.

  13. We say Louisiana.

  14. But anyway, if you live there, you'll understand why they call it Louisiana.

  15. But anyway.

  16. But Hurricane Andrew had done a tremendous damage to them.

  17. And I went down and helped clean up and helped tear down houses so they could rebuild them.

  18. And I saw that devastation up close for, I guess, the first time.

  19. I pastored in South Mississippi.

  20. And I always heard people talk about Camille.

  21. And I didn't know who she was at first.

  22. And then I quickly learned she was not a person.

  23. It was a storm.

  24. A catastrophic storm.

  25. A catastrophic storm that hit in 1969.

  26. But at that time, more than two decades later, it had left its mark still.

  27. And people talked about, well, that was either before Camille or after Camille.

  28. I pastored in South Carolina.

  29. I moved back to North Mississippi.

  30. And I heard story after story about Hurricane Katrina.

  31. Yeah.

  32. The news covered New Orleans and the mess of New Orleans at Katrina.

  33. But it went way beyond that as well.

  34. And the Mississippi coast was hit hard.

  35. And the church that I pastored had teamed up with several other churches in that area

  36. and had traveled tirelessly in the aftermath to walk through that.

  37. One of the greatest ministry efforts that that church had ever produced in missions

  38. was through Katrina.

  39. And they've been marked by it.

  40. In September 2024, our whole region was rocked by Helene.

  41. North Carolina still is hurting from it in some parts.

  42. Many of you were marked by that.

  43. Storms mark our lives.

  44. But it's not just natural storms that do it, that leave scars.

  45. There are health storms that do it.

  46. There are relational hurricanes that happen in our life.

  47. There are career tsunamis that hit.

  48. And the kind of earthquakes that come when someone we love, life unravels before us and falls apart.

  49. And we strive to help them put it back together.

  50. I don't need to give you a lot of examples because you already know that.

  51. Because storms mark us.

  52. In our passage today, the disciples are in a storm.

  53. And they had Jesus with them.

  54. But even with his presence, they were still in a storm.

  55. It's found in Mark chapter 4, beginning in verse 35.

    Mark 4 chapter mention

  56. And it says,

  57. And they woke him and said to him,

  58. Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?

  59. And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea,

  60. Peace be still.

  61. And the wind ceased and there was great calm.

  62. And he said to them,

  63. Why are you so afraid?

  64. Have you still no faith?

  65. And they were filled with great fear and said to one another,

  66. Who then is this?

  67. That even the wind and the sea obey him.

  68. When you look at the previous chapters that we've covered,

  69. you find out that Jesus and his disciples had been crowded by people.

  70. And although there would be ministry on the other side of the water,

  71. all indications were that Jesus was looking to get them away from that crowd

  72. as urgently as possible.

  73. Jesus was warned.

  74. They placed him in the stern on a cushion.

  75. That was the seat of honor of sorts.

  76. It was as if they said,

  77. Listen, you rest.

  78. We got this.

  79. They were fishermen.

  80. They felt like they were on their turf.

  81. However, violent storms on the Sea of Galilee are not unusual.

  82. It's not a large body of water.

  83. It's 13 miles long and it's 7 1⁄2 miles wide.

  84. However, its natural setting makes it dangerous.

  85. It sits nearly 700 feet below sea level

  86. at the bottom of a rift between the Arabian Desert

  87. and the Mediterranean Sea.

  88. And it is surrounded by sheer cliffs on the east.

  89. When cool air rushes down from Mount Hermon,

  90. which stands 9,200 feet tall,

  91. and it funnels through the narrow passes around those cliffs,

  92. it collides with the warm tropical air over that lake

  93. and it leads to sudden and violent storms.

  94. That is apparently what happened to them.

  95. After I preached the morning of the early worship,

  96. somebody came to me afterwards and said,

  97. When I was taking a tour in Israel and I got out on that boat

  98. and went out on the Sea of Galilee,

  99. just a little water hit the side of the boat

  100. and the guy turned the boat around and started coming back shore.

  101. And he said, Now, you wonder why I'm doing that,

  102. but if we don't respond quickly, we may not make it back.

  103. And he said, By the time we got back,

  104. he said it was worse than anything I've ever experienced on Joe Cassie.

  105. Just that quickly it happens.

  106. So it's a setup for that,

  107. and apparently that's what happened to them that day.

  108. The waves overwhelmed the boat and water began to fill in it

  109. and they were terrified,

  110. and they were terrified for good reason.

  111. We're not talking about an overreaction here.

  112. These are fishermen, seasoned fishermen.

  113. They're used to such storms.

  114. They're accustomed to the violent temper of this sea.

  115. In reality, even modern-day captains on powered vessels

  116. watch the weather patterns closely on this sea

  117. to avoid the very thing that we read about in this passage.

  118. But what they didn't realize at that time was this.

  119. They had sailed into that storm for a reason.

  120. It was going to be a lesson for them.

  121. And it was not only a lesson for them,

  122. but I believe it's also for us.

  123. And by the way, I've heard this before,

  124. and I've said this before,

  125. and I'll probably say it again, and it's still true.

  126. So I want you to let your guard down and hear it, okay?

  127. All of us are either coming out of a storm,

  128. going into a storm,

  129. or right now in the middle of a storm.

  130. This is common ground.

  131. And we do a lot from Sunday to dress up and look pretty

  132. and look like we got all right together.

  133. All right.

  134. But the reality is,

  135. I learned a long time ago,

  136. there's a pain on every pew.

  137. A storm is common ground.

  138. You don't have to act like you don't know what we're talking about today

  139. because you do.

  140. Or you will

  141. because it's common ground.

  142. So the lessons that they learned that day,

  143. I hope we can learn as well.

  144. When in the storm,

  145. remember some things.

  146. One, remember this.

  147. When we don't think that he cares,

  148. he does.

  149. These were fishermen.

  150. They had been in storms before.

  151. This storm was different.

  152. It was at night,

  153. which makes it worse.

  154. But this storm was extremely violent.

  155. Mark calls it a great windstorm.

  156. Matthew calls it a great shaking.

  157. Even literally a sea quake.

  158. And this matters.

  159. It wasn't like they had caused the storm.

  160. They had not disobeyed.

  161. They had left when Jesus told them to leave.

  162. They went where Jesus told them to go.

  163. Listen to me.

  164. Storms even come when we are obedient.

  165. When they looked to Jesus,

  166. he was asleep.

  167. And they misunderstood that.

  168. They assumed that he was indifferent to the matter.

  169. And they asked him,

  170. Teacher, don't you care that we're perishing?

  171. Now we know that now he never sleeps

  172. and he never slumbers,

  173. but sometimes his silence feels like he's sleeping.

  174. Have you ever felt like you were trying to

  175. wake God up asking him,

  176. don't you care?

  177. I mean, it could be when we feel friendless.

  178. Or it could be when our car breaks down.

  179. It could be when a loved one's sick.

  180. Or when a family's crumbling.

  181. Or when a job's played out.

  182. Or our bank account's drying up.

  183. Or our test result is pending.

  184. And maybe it's not even a prayer.

  185. Maybe it's just a thought.

  186. Does God really care about my circumstances?

  187. And he quickly answered the question in his action.

  188. By the way, in their world and in their culture,

  189. a sleeping deity was not a sign of weakness.

  190. It was a sign of control.

  191. It was not that Jesus was unaware of the storm.

  192. He was at rest in the midst of the storm.

  193. Listen.

  194. He is at rest in our storms.

  195. He's not panicked by the things that panic us.

  196. The storm did not expose his indifference.

  197. The storm showed their spiritual immaturity.

  198. We're not alone when God is silent in our storms.

  199. Actually, he's in the boat

  200. through every wave that we face along the way.

  201. And of course he cares.

  202. And never think that you're alone.

  203. God may be quiet, but he is in your boat

  204. through every wave that you face.

  205. When you don't think he cares, he does.

  206. Second thing to remember in a storm is this.

  207. When we don't think he's in control, he is.

  208. Now, can you imagine this is a sturdy fishing vessel

  209. able to hold several men,

  210. but it was actually no match for a 10-foot wave.

  211. And the boat plunges, nose first, into a wall of water.

  212. The force of the waves tip it dangerously

  213. until the bow feels like it's pointing straight up.

  214. And just when you think that you're about to be

  215. thrown backwards, it pitches you forward

  216. into a valley of another wave.

  217. And hands are everywhere, gripping the mast,

  218. grabbing the rails, desperately trying to pull

  219. everything together, all but one set of hands.

  220. And he's asleep.

  221. He's sawing laws in the stern of the boat.

  222. They're amazed, maybe a little angry,

  223. and they wake him and they ask him if he cares.

  224. And with his voice, the storm is gone.

  225. He simply stands up and says,

  226. peace, be still.

  227. Literally, he's saying, be silent.

  228. Even stronger than that, the text tells us,

  229. literally, it'd be, be muzzled.

  230. It is the same command that he used for the demoniac

  231. in Mark chapter 1 that we looked at a few weeks ago.

    Mark 1 chapter mention

  232. God's in control.

  233. And the disciples would have known Psalm 107

  234. a whole lot better than we would,

  235. where it says,

  236. they reeled and staggered like drunken men

  237. as were at their wit's end.

  238. Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble,

  239. and he delivered them from their distress.

  240. He made the storm be still,

  241. and the waves of the sea were hushed.

  242. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet,

  243. and he brought them to their desired haven.

  244. Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,

  245. for his wondrous works to the children of man.

  246. Only the Lord does that.

  247. When he speaks, things change.

  248. And I'll tell you another story

  249. that must have echoed in their mind,

  250. and it's echoed in mine, it may echo in yours,

  251. and that's Jonah, who was running from God.

  252. He got in a boat that went the opposite direction

  253. that God told him to go.

  254. A mighty storm came.

  255. All the men called upon their gods,

  256. but Jonah was asleep.

  257. They wanted to do everything they possibly could,

  258. so they woke him up and said,

  259. why don't you call on your God?

  260. And when they realized that he worshiped the real God,

  261. they panicked.

  262. They didn't know what to do with him,

  263. and Jonah invited him to throw him overboard.

  264. They were afraid to do that

  265. because the God who had caused the storm

  266. was the same God they wanted to appease,

  267. and so they didn't quite know what to do.

  268. He had convinced them to do that.

  269. They threw him over,

  270. and there was a great calm.

  271. I want you to notice in verse 41,

  272. it says that they were filled with great fear.

  273. They were terrified,

  274. terrified, and that's after the storm's gone.

  275. The storm was gone,

  276. yet they were terrified.

  277. Terrified of what?

  278. Of Jesus?

  279. Of his power?

  280. They were no longer concerned about the weather.

  281. They were now focused on Jesus.

  282. They were now beginning to see who he really was.

  283. Only God himself can calm the storms,

  284. and the rain,

  285. and the sea,

  286. and suddenly as they're in that boat,

  287. it dawns on them maybe like it never had before.

  288. He is here,

  289. right here with us,

  290. and he's in control.

  291. Even though we may not feel like it,

  292. he's in control.

  293. And when we don't feel like he's in control,

  294. he is.

  295. The other thing I think we need to remember is this.

  296. When we don't know if we can trust him,

  297. we can.

  298. These men had reasons to not be overwhelmed by the storm,

  299. yet they were.

  300. Storms are a part of life.

  301. They're going to come,

  302. and when they do,

  303. the question is,

  304. are we going to trust God enough

  305. to not lose our faith through those storms?

  306. I think some things that we need to do,

  307. they need to do as well.

  308. One is remember his promise.

  309. He told them in verse 35

  310. that they were going to the other side.

  311. He didn't say,

  312. we're going to try to get to the other side.

  313. That's not what he said.

  314. He said,

  315. we're going to the other side.

  316. Isaiah 43 verse 2,

    Isaiah 43:2

  317. the prophet said,

  318. when you pass through the waters,

  319. I'll be with you.

  320. That's what God says to us.

  321. It don't say around the waters,

  322. it says through the waters.

  323. The psalmist says in Psalm 56,

  324. three and four,

  325. when I am afraid,

  326. I put my trust in you.

  327. In God,

  328. whose word I praise,

  329. in God I trust,

  330. I shall not be afraid.

  331. When you do not think you can trust him,

  332. I want you to remember his promise

  333. to you.

  334. But also,

  335. I want you to recognize his presence.

  336. He was with them.

  337. He might have been silent.

  338. It might have felt like he wasn't interested,

  339. but however,

  340. their impression of him

  341. did not change the reality of him.

  342. Did you get that?

  343. Our impression of him

  344. does not change the reality of him.

  345. He was on it.

  346. When I read this,

  347. it reminds me of the upper room.

  348. Christ is in the upper room

  349. with his disciples.

  350. He has ministered to them

  351. for three and a half years,

  352. ministered with them

  353. for three and a half years.

  354. In the latter part of those days with them,

  355. he began to prepare them

  356. for a day when he would no longer be with them.

  357. And he told them

  358. that they were going to come after him

  359. and that he was going to die,

  360. but he'd rise again.

  361. And he began to tell them those things

  362. and they didn't really want to hear it.

  363. They couldn't imagine a change like that.

  364. And so that night

  365. before he goes to the Garden of Gethsemane

  366. and is arrested,

  367. he takes them into the upper room

  368. and he tells them

  369. about how he will soon

  370. no longer be physically with them,

  371. but that does not mean

  372. he would leave them.

  373. He says in that

  374. longest discourse we have

  375. of Jesus at one time anywhere,

  376. it's in John 13 through 17,

  377. most of which at least

  378. was in the upper room.

  379. And he says there,

  380. I will not leave you comfort

  381. lest I'll come to you.

  382. He promises them that.

  383. They may feel like they're alone,

  384. but he's not going to leave them like that.

  385. F.B. Meyer was a great theologian,

  386. contemporary in London

  387. with Spurgeon,

  388. good friends with D.L. Moody.

  389. And he said this,

  390. he said,

  391. they that bear Christ's company

  392. must prepare for squalls.

  393. Yet why should we fear

  394. when the master is on board?

  395. When we don't think

  396. we can trust him,

  397. we can.

  398. We just kind of need

  399. to remember his promise.

  400. He didn't bring us this far

  401. to let us fail

  402. and just recognize his presence.

  403. He will never leave us

  404. nor forsake us.

  405. And when you don't think

  406. we can trust him,

  407. we need to be able

  408. to rest in his peace.

  409. By the time the storm stops,

  410. something else has started.

  411. The wind is quiet,

  412. the waves have laid down,

  413. the danger has passed,

  414. but the disciples

  415. are not relieved.

  416. They are unsettled.

  417. And Mark tells us

  418. that they are filled

  419. with great fear.

  420. They're not fearing

  421. the storm anymore,

  422. but they fear the one

  423. who's standing

  424. in the boat with them.

  425. Storms are terrifying.

  426. But a Savior

  427. who speaks to storms

  428. and stops them,

  429. that's something else

  430. altogether.

  431. Isn't it interesting

  432. that the very storm

  433. that made veteran fishermen

  434. panic made the Lord Jesus

  435. drowsy?

  436. That what put fear

  437. in their eyes

  438. put him to sleep?

  439. That the boat

  440. that felt like a certain tomb

  441. to his disciples

  442. was a steady cradle

  443. to Christ?

  444. It's wasn't that Jesus

  445. was unaware of the storm.

  446. Jesus was at peace

  447. in the midst of the storm.

  448. He also tells them

  449. in the upper room

  450. in John 14, 27,

  451. Peace I leave with you,

  452. my peace I give to you,

  453. not as the world gives

  454. do I give unto you.

  455. Let not your hearts

  456. be troubled,

  457. neither let it be afraid.

  458. The peace he gives,

  459. and I want you to get this,

  460. is not an absence

  461. of storms or trouble.

  462. The thunder is going

  463. to roll in our lives.

  464. It's not the absence

  465. of tough times.

  466. It is the presence

  467. of Christ

  468. through all of us

  469. and Jesus could have

  470. rebuked them harshly.

  471. He could have pointed out

  472. their immaturity,

  473. but instead he patiently

  474. asked them two questions,

  475. not to shame them,

  476. but to invite them

  477. to see what this moment

  478. had revealed.

  479. He said,

  480. why are you so afraid?

  481. Have you still no faith?

  482. The storm did not create

  483. their fear.

  484. It exposed it.

  485. The storm did not reveal

  486. who Jesus was.

  487. It confirmed it.

  488. And the greatest storms

  489. that we face

  490. are not wind

  491. and they're not waves.

  492. They're not even the losses.

  493. They're not even

  494. the disappointments.

  495. They're not even

  496. the diagnoses.

  497. The greatest storm

  498. that we face

  499. is the unbelief

  500. that reveals itself

  501. in our hearts

  502. in the midst

  503. of our hardship.

  504. And the question

  505. of whether we can

  506. really trust the Lord.

  507. And that is the question

  508. that the storms

  509. bring to light.

  510. Isn't it interesting?

  511. Isn't it interesting?

  512. Did Jesus know

  513. this storm was coming?

  514. Before they ever

  515. stepped in the boat?

  516. If you go back

  517. and look,

  518. he had been sharing

  519. with them how faith works.

  520. He had been telling them

  521. how the kingdom grows.

  522. He had been

  523. telling them,

  524. talking to them

  525. about trusting God

  526. with things

  527. that we cannot control.

  528. And now on the water

  529. is a great object lesson

  530. for the disciples.

  531. This storm

  532. is not punishment.

  533. I want you

  534. to understand

  535. something today.

  536. If you've given

  537. your heart and life

  538. to the Lord Jesus Christ,

  539. if you're a Christian

  540. that's dedicated

  541. to following him,

  542. God does not punish you.

  543. Your punishment

  544. has already been taken.

  545. Do you know

  546. who took on

  547. your punishment?

  548. Christ Jesus

  549. took on your punishment

  550. on the cross.

  551. God's not mad at you.

  552. God's not punishing you.

  553. This is not a rebuke.

  554. It is a living illustration.

  555. This is the curriculum

  556. of God.

  557. Not because we deserve storms.

  558. Not because every storm

  559. is caused by sin.

  560. Don't misunderstand me.

  561. Sin causes huge storms.

  562. But not every storm

  563. is caused by sin.

  564. This storm

  565. was not caused

  566. by their sin.

  567. It was not.

  568. But because storms

  569. are often

  570. where our faith

  571. is clarified

  572. and our trust

  573. is formed,

  574. he teaches us

  575. in that.

  576. He teaches us

  577. that we can trust

  578. Jesus

  579. in the storm.

  580. That when we think

  581. he don't care,

  582. he does.

  583. And when we think

  584. he's not in control,

  585. he is.

  586. And so Mark

  587. ends this account

  588. the way life

  589. often happens.

  590. Not with an explanation,

  591. but with a question.

  592. He says,

  593. they ask,

  594. who then is this

  595. that even the wind

  596. and the sea

  597. obey him?

  598. and no answer

  599. was given.

  600. Their eyes

  601. are fixed

  602. upon him

  603. as they marvel

  604. at who they look to.

  605. Their eyes

  606. are fixed

  607. on him

  608. and that is

  609. exactly

  610. where

  611. they needed

  612. to be.

  613. And it's

  614. exactly

  615. where we need

  616. to be.

  617. Fixed on him.

  618. Because folks,

  619. once you know

  620. who's in the boat

  621. with you,

  622. the storm

  623. is not the focus.

  624. The focus

  625. is upon the Lord

  626. who's right there

  627. with you

  628. in the midst

  629. of your storm.

  630. there's some

  631. storms here today.

  632. I know of some.

  633. I know of few.

  634. I don't know of most.

  635. But I know

  636. the storms.

  637. Been doing this

  638. long enough

  639. and praying

  640. for people

  641. long enough,

  642. praying with people

  643. long enough,

  644. talking to people

  645. long enough

  646. to know

  647. there's some storms.

  648. And I want you

  649. to know

  650. that if there's

  651. never been a time

  652. in your life

  653. when you surrender

  654. your life

  655. to the Lord

  656. Jesus Christ,

  657. I don't know

  658. how else

  659. to help you

  660. except to bring

  661. you to the one

  662. who can calm

  663. your storm.

  664. If you've never

  665. asked the Lord

  666. Jesus to forgive

  667. you of your sins,

  668. to come into

  669. your life

  670. and to change

  671. you,

  672. I want you to know

  673. that is the next

  674. step that you

  675. need to do

  676. in your life,

  677. period.

  678. That's where

  679. a relationship

  680. starts.

  681. And if you feel

  682. alienated from God

  683. as if you're

  684. separated from God,

  685. do you know

  686. why you feel that?

  687. Because you are

  688. if you don't have

  689. a relationship

  690. with it.

  691. So it starts there.

  692. and then if you do

  693. know that you have

  694. a relationship

  695. with him,

  696. if you've surrendered

  697. your life to the

  698. Lord Jesus Christ,

  699. you need to remember

  700. some things

  701. for the storms.

  702. You might be in the

  703. middle of one.

  704. Some of you are,

  705. I know.

  706. Some of you are

  707. coming out of it

  708. and you're walking

  709. with a limp.

  710. And then who knows

  711. what tomorrow holds

  712. except the one

  713. who holds tomorrow.

  714. You might just need

  715. to lay your storm

  716. down before the

  717. Lord today.

  718. You've been trying

  719. to control it

  720. yourself.

  721. And you need

  722. to surrender

  723. to him.

  724. I'm here to pray

  725. for you

  726. if you'd like

  727. for me to.

  728. You can lay your

  729. storm down

  730. at this altar.

  731. You can do it

  732. where you stand.

  733. But let's don't

  734. go through these

  735. things alone.

  736. It always amazes

  737. me

  738. that oftentimes

  739. when people go

  740. through difficulties

  741. and storms,

  742. they'll tell me

  743. when we get

  744. through this

  745. we'll be back

  746. to church.

  747. Now I'm not

  748. talking about

  749. something that's

  750. a health crisis

  751. that won't allow

  752. you to be in public.

  753. I'm just talking

  754. about somebody

  755. who's going

  756. through something.

  757. We feel like

  758. everybody can see

  759. straight through us

  760. and they know

  761. everything that's

  762. going on in our

  763. lives and we

  764. just can't face

  765. anybody.

  766. And I'm just

  767. telling you,

  768. there's a Greek

  769. word for that,

  770. baloney.

  771. There's so much

  772. going on in

  773. people's lives

  774. today,

  775. they don't know

  776. what's happening

  777. with you.

  778. And they got so

  779. much stuff going

  780. on.

  781. They ain't got

  782. time to worry

  783. about you.

  784. I mean,

  785. they may pray

  786. for you,

  787. don't misunderstand

  788. me about that,

  789. but I'm just

  790. telling you,

  791. people aren't

  792. sitting back

  793. drinking a

  794. checklist,

  795. are they going

  796. to show up

  797. or not because

  798. I know what's

  799. going on in

  800. their life.

  801. It's just not

  802. true.

  803. That's the

  804. evil one.

  805. God's going

  806. to show up.

  807. And I'll tell

  808. you what he

  809. does,

  810. he loves to

  811. polarize us,

  812. he loves to

  813. isolate us,

  814. he loves to

  815. get us alone

  816. in the hardest

  817. of times so

  818. he can beat

  819. us down.

  820. And the

  821. reality is,

  822. what we need

  823. to acknowledge

  824. more than

  825. anything else

  826. is the one

  827. that is the

  828. master of the

  829. storm is right

  830. there with me.

  831. And he's got a

  832. whole crew of

  833. people that

  834. love me

  835. dearly,

  836. that will love

  837. me through

  838. what's going

  839. on in my

  840. life.

  841. Just drop a

  842. facade.

  843. Be honest

  844. with God.

  845. Be honest

  846. with ourself.

  847. And look

  848. to him.

  849. Heavenly

  850. Father,

  851. I love you.

  852. I thank you

  853. Lord for your

  854. love for us

  855. and I ask

  856. today that

  857. we'll lay our

  858. storm down

  859. before you,

  860. oh God.

  861. That we'll

  862. trust you.

  863. Whether it

  864. appears you're

  865. asleep,

  866. whether we're

  867. waiting for you

  868. to say peace

  869. be still.

  870. God, I pray

  871. that we'll

  872. trust you today

  873. with all of

  874. our lives.

  875. Lead us,

  876. Lord,

  877. to follow

  878. your lead.

  879. In Jesus'

  880. name,

  881. amen.
