  1. Good evening.

  2. Certainly appreciate everyone being here tonight.

  3. Appreciate folks coming all the way from Africa to be in my class tonight.

  4. Very complimentary. Just a few announcements.

  5. This is Wednesday evening. We typically do announcements on Wednesday evenings. And I'm

  6. not sure it would be scriptural if we didn't, so we'll do that. We want

  7. to certainly extend our sympathies to Amanda Loden and her family

  8. during the loss of her father, Jeffrey Hogue, who passed

  9. away Monday, July 13th.

  10. The Wynn Funeral Home will be where the visitation in Horse Cave

  11. will be. That starts tomorrow from 4 to 8, and then Friday

  12. will be the funeral. Visitation will start at 8 o'clock on Friday

  13. until the time of the service at 11 o'clock. Also,

  14. Lorvetta Dillard received her recent PET scan results,

  15. which revealed tumors in her pancreas and liver.

  16. She's chosen not to seek treatment, so please continue to pray

  17. for her strength and all those that are on our

  18. prayer list. So I wanted to make sure we communicated those, those announcements.

  19. All right, let's start in Mark chapter 9 tonight.

    Mark 9 chapter mention

  20. Mark chapter 9. I want to thank those who taught

    Mark 9 chapter mention

  21. the class before me this week.

  22. We've looked at a lot of interesting things, I believe.

  23. I want to thank Bill for his presentation on the consistency

  24. of Scripture and archaeology,

  25. for Dale, who, his predictive

  26. prophecies, And then also, Joey last

  27. night with the scientific consistencies of Scripture.

  28. And tonight, what we're going to be looking at, my assignment is the unity,

  29. you call it unity or you can call it harmony of the

  30. Scriptures with itself. And so, that's what we're going to

  31. look at tonight. Start in Mark chapter 9

    Mark 9 chapter mention

  32. and let's go down to verse 24. The context

  33. here, Jesus had just healed a young boy, and his father

  34. makes a comment here in verse 24 of Mark chapter 9. He says,

    Mark 9 chapter mention

  35. Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears,

  36. Lord, I believe; help my

  37. unbelief. Lord, I believe;

  38. help my unbelief. Do we ever find ourselves

  39. there? We call ourselves believers.

  40. We do believe, but sometimes there's

  41. a little bit of seed of doubt maybe creep in.

  42. And so, we also have to say, Lord, I believe,

  43. but help my unbelief. I think that's

  44. only natural that from time to time,

  45. little pebbles of doubt might creep into our minds

  46. And I think hopefully this week has been an encouragement to you,

  47. not only as you study the Scriptures,

  48. but also as you talk to others, what we've learned about

  49. the archaeological consistencies of Scripture, the prophecies

  50. and how they've come to be, and then also the scientific

  51. consistencies. Well, tonight, again, we're going to be

  52. looking at Scripture as a whole, and the unity

  53. or harmony that's part of that. Let's go over

  54. to a couple more Scriptures here. Let's go to 2 Peter

    2 Peter 1 chapter mention

  55. chapter 1, 2 Peter chapter 1,

    2 Peter 1 chapter mention

  56. and let's look at verses 20 and 21,

  57. 2 Peter chapter 1, verses 20 and 21.

    2 Peter 1:20

  58. Here Peter writes, Knowing this first, that no prophecy

  59. of Scripture is of any private interpretation,

  60. for prophecy never came by the will of man,

  61. but holy men of God, as they were moved by

  62. the Holy Spirit. The second one I'd like

  63. for us to take a look at is 2 Timothy 3,

  64. 2 Timothy 3, And Paul

  65. writing to Timothy here, starting in verse 10 of chapter

  66. 3 of 2 Timothy, Paul writes, But you

  67. have carefully followed my doctrine, manner of

  68. life, purpose, faith,

  69. longsuffering, love, perseverance,

  70. persecutions, afflictions, which happened to me

  71. at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra,

  72. What persecutions I endured! And out of them all the Lord delivered

  73. me. Yes, and all who desire to live godly in

  74. Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.

  75. But evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse,

  76. deceiving and being deceived. But you,

  77. talking to Timothy, must continue in the things which you have

  78. learned and been assured of, knowing from whom

  79. you have learned them, And that from childhood you have known the Holy

  80. Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation

  81. through faith which is in Christ Jesus. I want

  82. you to particularly notice verse 16, all Scripture

  83. is given by inspiration of God

  84. and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,

  85. for instruction in righteousness. Look at verse 16,

  86. the first part of verse 16 again, all Scripture is

  87. given by inspiration of

  88. God. I think a lot

  89. of times we'll gloss over that Scripture and not really capture

  90. what's being said, not realizing what's being said.

  91. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God. Do we believe that?

  92. If that's really at the forefront of our minds and

  93. of our hearts, and we're really honed

  94. in on that, knowing that what we have

  95. here is from God to

  96. us, from God to

  97. us, if we really believed

  98. it, And if we really thought about that,

  99. would we treat the Bible as we do now? Would we study

  100. more? Would we be into the Scriptures more?

  101. All Scripture is given by inspiration of God.

  102. It's profitable, and it gives all the ways that it's profitable.

  103. So that's something to think about. Do tonight is talk

  104. about how it's obvious that

  105. this book that we have numerous copies

  106. of, we're very blessed people that we have ready

  107. access to Scripture, to what God is

  108. communicating to us, we're going

  109. to show how it's obviously inspired.

  110. I realize you probably believe that it is,

  111. but we may be talking to people on a daily basis

  112. that may not believe that. There's a lot of people out

  113. there that think, you know, this is a really good book.

  114. It's like classic literature. It's like

  115. Shakespeare or some great works of literary accomplishment.

  116. But this is more than that. This is special.

  117. This is from God. And so, that's what we're

  118. going to look at tonight, and the unity and the harmony of

  119. Scripture. We've looked at harmony with archaeology.

  120. We've looked at harmony with the prophecies. We've looked at harmony with scientific

  121. exploration.

  122. Tonight, we're going to look at harmony of the Bible with itself.

  123. Apologetics Press, Eric Lyons wrote an article.

  124. It was in the book that Neil gave us to use as

  125. a guide for these classes. I don't

  126. think anybody's used this one yet, so I'm going to go ahead and read

  127. this illustration to give you an idea of

  128. how difficult it would be to pull off what's

  129. been— by humans to pull off what what we have

  130. here, okay, without God being involved.

  131. Here's a story that Eric Lyons wrote as an illustration.

  132. You have been given a very challenging task: help

  133. write a 1,000-page book on human health

  134. and nutrition with 39 other people.

  135. The publishers of the book would like for it to become

  136. the best-selling most trusted and complete book in the world

  137. on eating healthy. It should be accurate about

  138. everything. Is chocolate good or bad for you?

  139. Is cow's milk harmful or helpful? Is it okay

  140. to eat large amounts of pork? And what about

  141. sugar? This is about eating healthy. Speaking of which,

  142. it is perfectly fine as far as nutrition is concerned

  143. to occasionally have a Papa John's pizza. They're really good.

  144. It's also very acceptable to have

  145. Baskin-Robbins ice cream with an extra

  146. scoop. But don't do that within 15 minutes of each other,

  147. okay? And don't ask me how I know that. The book needs

  148. to be perfectly consistent without contradictions,

  149. as well as in harmony with all scientific facts, whether known or currently

  150. unknown. The publishers want to print a resource that

  151. can stand up to all manner of inspection. They want a book that

  152. will stand the test of time and be helpful to people for the next

  153. 2,000 years, if Jesus has not returned by then.

  154. As if the job does not sound difficult enough, the publishers also inform

  155. you that the chosen authors of the book have a lot

  156. of differences. Several writers are from the United

  157. States, but some are also from Canada,

  158. Mexico, and Brazil.

  159. Most speak English, but some speak Spanish,

  160. and 2 speak Portuguese. There are a number

  161. of cultural differences among the writers, including their diets,

  162. and only a few of the chosen authors know

  163. much about nutrition. To top it all off,

  164. there is no financial gain working on such a difficult project.

  165. No one will get a paycheck. Everything is being done

  166. for the good of humanity.

  167. Could we pull that off? Is that possible?

  168. Is it humanly possible? Is it humanly

  169. possible for even 2 or 3 writers

  170. writing about the same subject to be consistent?

  171. Without contradiction, to make it last for

  172. thousands of years, to be— continue to be relevant?

  173. That's what we're going to talk about tonight. We're going

  174. to look at some things with Scripture that makes it obvious that

  175. it is united, there is harmony,

  176. and that it has to come from God.

  177. When we think about the various— well,

  178. let's look at the time period. What kind of time period are

  179. we looking at here in Scripture? It's a period over approximately

  180. 1,600 years. You had Moses who

  181. penned the books that he wrote roughly

  182. around 1,500 BC. You had

  183. Isaiah come along a few hundred years later around 700

  184. BC. And then you've got Malachi around 400

  185. BC. And then you have the writings of the New Testament,

  186. which were roughly between 50 AD and 100 AD.

  187. So, if you do the math, you're talking about a span of

  188. 1,600 years for 40 individuals,

  189. 40 individuals to write 66

  190. books that comprise the

  191. book that you have, okay, the Bible.

  192. So think about that, over 1,600 years,

  193. which is approximately 40 generations.

  194. But then also add to that,

  195. who are the writers? Are the writers in

  196. sync with one another? Well,

  197. they're in different time periods, but what about their

  198. backgrounds? What kind of background does each of these writers have?

  199. Is it consistent with one another? Well, I think we

  200. could safely say that the writers of Scripture that

  201. God used came from various backgrounds.

  202. What about Moses? What was his background?

  203. You can talk, by the way. It's okay. Pharaoh's house.

  204. Okay, so he was a political leader trained in Egypt,

  205. right? Okay. Who are some

  206. others? How does that compare with,

  207. say, several hundred years later, an author of,

  208. you know, let's say Peter. Fisherman.

  209. Peter have much education? Probably not,

  210. okay? What about Amos?

  211. Herdsman.

  212. Joshua? Military guy, right?

  213. Nehemiah? What was his profession?

  214. Cupbearer, cupbearer to the king of Persia. What about Daniel?

  215. Daniel, prime minister in the courts of Babylon.

  216. You have one that wrote 2 books of the New Testament,

  217. Luke. What about him?

  218. Physician, doctor, right.

  219. Solomon, a philosopher, you might say, a king.

  220. What about Matthew?

  221. Tax collector. The IRS,

  222. basically. What about Paul?

  223. Well-educated, Pharisee of Pharisees.

  224. But he also worked with his hands, didn't he? Tentmaker.

  225. Okay. So I think it becomes very clear that

  226. not only was this book authored over a period of 1,600

  227. years, by 40 individuals over

  228. a long period of time, but they are from very

  229. diverse backgrounds, very diverse backgrounds.

  230. What about the circumstances they were in?

  231. Okay, you had Paul, you know, he wrote some while

  232. in prison, had the prison epistles, Ephesians,

  233. Colossians, Help me

  234. out here, Philemon, I think. Philippians, Philippians, there you go,

  235. thank you. Okay,

  236. Luke while traveling. What about John? What was his situation when he wrote

  237. the book of Revelation? Exile,

  238. island of Patmos, right? Okay, so we have

  239. a diversity of authors, diversity of backgrounds,

  240. diversity of You know, times,

  241. diversity of location, okay,

  242. 3 continents at that time, Asia, Africa,

  243. and Europe, languages, 3 languages,

  244. Hebrew, Aramaic, Greek,

  245. diversity of subject matter, okay.

  246. So I think it becomes pretty clear that This

  247. comes from God. This comes from God. Okay,

  248. uh, let's see here. And it's organized

  249. so well. Of course, you know, man has done the chapter breaks and

  250. kind of organized some of this. It's not necessarily in chronological order,

  251. but, you know, you have history and law. You also have a diversity

  252. in writing styles, right? You have law

  253. and history. You also have,

  254. let's see, what else do we have? Poetry, we have

  255. poetry, okay? We even have apocalyptic literature

  256. that we see in the book of, primarily in the book of Revelation, but also

  257. here and there in some other books as well,

  258. basically communicating in signs and symbols like

  259. the book of Revelation. We also have

  260. a situation where we're promised that we're

  261. going to have these Scriptures, the longevity,

  262. we'll have this whenever Christ returns. If you go to Revelation chapter

    Revelation 12 chapter mention

  263. 12, you don't have to go there, but if you go to Revelation chapter

    Revelation 12 chapter mention

  264. 12, what you're going to see in John's

  265. writing there in that apocalyptic language

  266. or literature that he employs there, Meaning,

  267. it's in signs and symbols. You're going

  268. to see there that Satan tried to conquer

  269. Christ. Didn't work,

  270. will not work, okay?

  271. Satan will also try to

  272. conquer us. It makes it very clear. He may or

  273. may not, that's going to depend upon us, right?

  274. But he says, Satan also tries

  275. to conquer and wipe out the church.

  276. That's not going to happen. We're told that's not going to happen,

  277. okay? There's something else that's not going to happen.

  278. Go to 1 Peter chapter— let's go to

  279. 1 Peter chapter 1, back in 1 Peter.

    1 Peter 1 chapter mention

  280. We'll go back there for just a minute. 1 Peter chapter

    1 Peter 1 chapter mention

  281. 1, and let's look

  282. at verses 22 through 25.

  283. This is one of the things that's so special. You know,

  284. books come and books go. You know, there'll be a book that's out

  285. on the market for a while, and then, You know, it fades away.

  286. But look at what we're told about Scripture,

  287. starting in verse 22, since you have purified your souls in obeying the

  288. truth through the Spirit and sincere love of the brethren, love one

  289. another fervently with a pure heart, having been born again, not of corruptible seed,

  290. but incorruptible, through the Word of God,

  291. which lives and abides, how long?

  292. Forever. Forever, because— now,

  293. look at the unity of Scripture here. He quotes Isaiah

    Isaiah 40 chapter mention

  294. chapter 40 right here, Peter does.

  295. All flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as

  296. the flower of the grass. The grass withers,

  297. and its flower falls away. Now remember, he's quoting somebody

  298. from hundreds of years before, He says,

  299. but the Word of the Lord endures!

  300. He puts an exclamation point on here, endures forever!

  301. Okay? Christ's church will

  302. endure. God's Word will also endure.

  303. It's what makes it unique, makes it special,

  304. okay, one of the things, okay? And again, that's a quote

  305. from Isaiah 40:8. Showing that

    Isaiah 40:8

  306. unity, okay?

  307. So, unity of God's Word,

  308. the fact that it's so harmonious even among 66 books,

  309. okay? A few other areas that shows the unity of

  310. Scripture. There's a unity of the overall

  311. theme of this book, okay?

  312. If I were to ask you,

  313. the Old Testament, what is, in one sentence,

  314. what is the overall theme of Genesis

  315. to Malachi of the Old Testament?

  316. Christ is coming. A Savior is coming. Okay?

  317. Absolutely. Okay?

  318. If I were to ask you, okay, Let's go to the New

  319. Testament, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, the Gospels.

  320. What's the overall theme in one sentence of

  321. Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John? Christ came,

  322. right? He was here. What is the overall

  323. theme, Acts to Revelation?

  324. He's coming back, okay?

  325. That's how you boil it down.

  326. Unity of theme. Now, that's communicated within

  327. the Law. It's communicated within the prophecies.

  328. It's communicated within the Gospels.

  329. It's communicated within letters to

  330. individuals. It's communicated in letters to churches.

  331. It's communicated to the 7 churches of Asia

  332. in an apocalyptic manner.

  333. That is the unity of the

  334. Scripture, the whole Scripture authored over 1,600 years by

  335. 40 individuals through God, by God,

  336. okay? You also have another

  337. area, unity of God's instructions.

  338. There's consistency there. If you take a

  339. subject, let's say, lying,

  340. for instance, okay? There is harmony,

  341. there's unity of Scripture there. Let's take a

  342. look at that. Go to Exodus chapter 20,

    Exodus 20 chapter mention

  343. Exodus chapter 20 and verse

    Exodus 20 chapter mention

  344. 16,

  345. Acts chapter 20 and verse 16.

    Acts 20 chapter mention

  346. What's going on in Exodus 20:16?

    Exodus 20:16

  347. We're in the midst of the 10 Commandments, right? What's verse

  348. 16 say? Thou shalt not bear false witness against your neighbor. In other words,

  349. don't be lying about your neighbor, okay? Don't be doing that.

  350. So that was written somewhere around 1450 BC.

  351. Well, let's go 500 years later and see what Solomon has

  352. to say about it. In Proverbs chapter 12.

    Proverbs 12 chapter mention

  353. Proverbs chapter 12, and let's go down to

    Proverbs 12 chapter mention

  354. verse 17. Here Solomon writes,

  355. He who speaks truth declares righteousness,

  356. but a false witness deceit. There is one who speaks

  357. like the piercings of a sword, but the tongue of the wise promotes health.

  358. The truthful A true lip shall be established

  359. forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

  360. Deceit is in the heart of those who devise evil, but counselors of

  361. peace have joy. No grave trouble will overtake the

  362. righteous, but the wicked shall be filled with evil. Lying lips

  363. are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully

  364. are his delight. So, what Solomon pens

  365. there sounds like right on track with what we saw

  366. in Exodus chapter 20. Alright, let's go about 1,000

    Exodus 20 chapter mention

  367. years later and see what Paul has to say on the subject.

  368. Ephesians chapter 4, Ephesians chapter

Ephesians 4 chapter mention Ephesians 4 chapter mention

  369. 4, and let's go down to about verse 25.

  370. Here Paul writes, therefore putting away lying, Let each

  371. of you speak truth with his neighbor,

  372. for we are members of one another.

  373. So, there's harmony and unity in God's instructions,

  374. and that's an example. It's other things too,

  375. murder, you know, just pick, and it's consistent

  376. throughout Scripture. There's also unity

  377. and consistency as it pertains to historical

  378. accounts. If you look at, you know,

  379. those rulers that Paul was in front of, it lines up perfectly

  380. with actual history, okay?

  381. Another area I'd like for us to look at as far as example

  382. of unity of Scripture, this is probably one

  383. of my favorites. And let's

  384. go to Genesis chapter 2. Let's kind of go toward the beginning

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  385. there, Genesis chapter 2.

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  386. All right, let's go down to about verse

  387. 8. What I want us to look at here is

  388. the unity of the end of human history

  389. with the beginning of human history, okay?

  390. So, what's going on here? In Genesis chapter 2,

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  391. finishing up creation, right? In chapter

  392. 2, man is created.

  393. See verse 4, he says, this is the history of the heavens and the earth

  394. when they were created. And if you go down

  395. to verse 8, there's a few things I'd like

  396. for you to particularly notice. Starting in

  397. verse 8, it says, the Lord God after He'd made

  398. man here, planted a garden eastward in Eden,

  399. and there He put the man whom He had formed.

  400. And out of the ground, the Lord God made every tree grow

  401. that is pleasant to the sight and good for food.

  402. The tree of life,

  403. keep that in mind. You can even mark it if you want to. The tree

  404. of life, okay, pay particular attention to that,

  405. was also in the midst of the garden,

  406. and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

  407. Verse 10, now a river, remember that,

  408. river, okay? So remember tree of life,

  409. remember river. Now a river went out of Eden to

  410. water the garden. And from there it parted

  411. and became 4 riverheads. Okay?

  412. Remember tree of life, remember river.

  413. Let's see,

  414. go down to— let's go

  415. down to verse 15. Then the

  416. Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden.

  417. To tend and keep it. And the Lord God

  418. commanded the man, saying, of every tree

  419. of the garden you may freely eat, but of the

  420. tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in

  421. the day that you eat of it you shall surely

  422. What happens? Chapter 3 happens,

  423. right? Chapter 3 happens. Is chapter

    Isaiah 3 chapter mention

  424. 3— is that a good thing? Chapter 3,

  425. disobedience.

  426. And you're going to see some words as a result of

  427. this sin that has now entered the world.

  428. Sin has now entered the world. Man has become disobedient,

  429. and as a result, there are some words you are going to see.

  430. Look at verse 16 of chapter 3,

  431. because you have done this, you are cursed. You see the word

  432. cursed. If you go on down,

  433. He talks— He is talking to the serpent there, then He talks

  434. to the woman. And the curse.

  435. Then to Adam, about verse 17,

  436. cursed is the ground for your sake. Okay?

  437. You see all that? Cursed. Remember that word,

  438. cursed. Go down to verse 23,

  439. therefore the Lord God sent him out of the Garden of

  440. Eden to till the ground from which he

  441. was taken. Verse 24,

  442. remember this, so he drove out the man,

  443. remember that, and he placed cherubim

  444. at the east of the Garden of Eden with a flaming sword

  445. which turned every way to guard the way to the

  446. tree of life. Okay, remember,

  447. They've been banished from the garden, no access

  448. to the tree of life. Remember that.

  449. Go all the way back, to the back of

  450. your Bible, to Revelation chapter 21.

    Revelation 21 chapter mention

  451. Revelation chapter 21.

    Revelation 21 chapter mention

  452. We're going to get a description of heaven.

  453. Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and

  454. the first earth had passed away, and there was no more sea.

  455. Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem,

  456. coming down out of heaven from God.

  457. Prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice

  458. from heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with

  459. men. Look at this. He will dwell with them,

  460. and they shall be His people. God Himself

  461. will be with them and be their God.

  462. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes,

  463. There shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.

  464. There shall be no more pain, for the former things

  465. have passed away. Look at this wording in verse

  466. 5, then He who sat on the throne said,

  467. behold, I make all things new.

  468. Why is He making things new? Because of Genesis

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  469. chapter 3 when man gommed everything up.

  470. Sin comes into the world. He's going to make

  471. everything new. And he said to me, write, for these

  472. words are true and faithful.

  473. Go over to chapter 22. As he continues this description,

  474. look at the wording that's used and notice the

  475. harmony and the unity as

  476. he concludes human history here,

  477. the end of human history, and ties it to the beginning.

  478. Look at the wording that's used here and see if you notice

  479. anything. Hint,

  480. maybe something we've just read, okay?

  481. Chapter 22, verse 1, And He showed me

  482. a pure river of water,

  483. where did we hear that? Genesis chapter 2,

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  484. of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from

  485. the throne of God and of the Lamb.

  486. In the middle of its street, and on either side of

  487. the river, was the tree of life.

  488. Where have we heard about that tree of life? Genesis chapter 2

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  489. at the beginning. Which bore 12 fruits, each tree yielding

  490. its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were

  491. for the healing of the nations. And there shall be

  492. no more, what? Curse.

  493. No more curse. Where do we hear about curse?

  494. Genesis chapter 3, right? And the throne

    Genesis 3 chapter mention

  495. of God and of the Lamb shall be

  496. in it, and His servants shall serve Him.

  497. They shall see His face.

  498. Whose face? God, okay?

  499. Remember, they were driven out.

  500. Sin will separate you

  501. from God. In the end,

  502. all the effects of sin— remember, all things made new?

  503. All the effects of sin are going to be gone. No effects

  504. of sin in heaven.

  505. They shall see His face, and His name

  506. shall be on their forehead. There shall be no night

  507. there. They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord

  508. God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and

  509. ever. So here,

  510. talking about unity of Scripture,

  511. John is linking up the end of human history

  512. with the beginning that we saw in Genesis chapter 2 and

    Genesis 2 chapter mention

  513. 3.

  514. Humans by themselves cannot pull this off.

  515. Absolutely no way. Absolutely no way.

  516. Period of 1,600 years, 40 individuals

  517. being used that spoke 3 languages,

  518. from 3 different continents over

  519. a period of about 40 generations, and you

  520. will not find a book anywhere that links

  521. up and harmonizes like

  522. Scripture does. And what we've been promised,

  523. just like the church will be here, When Christ

  524. returns, so will this. So,

  525. when we think about that, the fact that

  526. this 66 books, it's a letter to me

  527. and it's a letter to you from God.

  528. If we keep that at the forefront of our minds,

  529. I don't think we'll be leaving the book on the shelf. We'll be

  530. getting in it. And we'll be learning from it and we'll be doing

  531. what it says. I appreciate,

  532. again, Bill and Dale and Joey

  533. and the way they've— the way they showed that.

  534. But they did an outstanding job. And between

  535. that and the way you see the unity of the Bible,

  536. surely, There's no doubt who

  537. this book is from. Any comments or anything

  538. anybody else wants to make? I've done pretty much all the talking. Yes, sir.

  539. Chris, it's interesting that when Jesus was

  540. tempted 3 times, he said,

  541. it is written. Yeah. Satan knows the Word. Right.

  542. He misuses it, uses it, but Jesus

  543. That's all he had to say. Right. We can say

  544. the same thing. Absolutely. Others say the same thing. Absolutely.

  545. The Word of God does. Sword of the Spirit. That's right. That's right.

  546. You know, it talks about the sword of the Spirit. That's what Scripture is.

  547. Anything else? All right. Thank you

  548. all for your attention. I think I was

  549. told you're supposed to be in here quietly until the children come back.

  550. But you can talk if you want to, I think. All right.

  551. Thank you.
