  1. Amen. Okay. We're in Psalm chapter 140 and look down at verse number one.

    Psalms 140 chapter mention

  2. It says deliver me, oh Lord, from the evil man.

  3. Preserve me from the violent man which imagined mischiefs in their heart.

  4. Continually are they gathered together for war.

  5. They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent.

  6. Adder's poison is under their lips.

  7. Sila, and it's not a sermon tonight, is beware of toxicity.

  8. Beware of toxicity.

  9. Toxicity refers to the poison, how poisonous something is,

  10. and of course we know that something that is toxic can often possess properties

  11. that can destroy things, it destroys organisms, it can destroy you.

  12. The Bible says here that there are individuals whose tongues are like serpents,

  13. meaning they're like snakes, they're like adders that possess poison,

  14. they possess venom, and they can destroy you.

  15. They can destroy you in a physical way, of course,

  16. because there's a lot of crazy people out there,

  17. but of course we know that this is also referring to a spiritual way as well.

  18. This evening I want to preach a sermon where I instruct you not only to avoid toxic people,

  19. but also to avoid being a toxic person yourself.

  20. Obviously we as Christians need to avoid toxic individuals and people who are toxic,

  21. but we need to make sure that we're not the toxic person in a relationship as well.

  22. And so have the prudence and wisdom to avoid people who are poisonous,

  23. who can damage us spiritually, who can hinder us in a significant way

  24. in whom the Bible tells us to be aware of.

  25. Just as venom of a serpent or an adder can infect the body

  26. and shut down the organs in like manner, spiritually toxic people

  27. can often do the same to us if we don't avoid them

  28. and avoid being in contact with them.

  29. Let me read you a couple of verses here.

  30. Romans chapter 3 verse 13 says their throat is an open sepulcher

    Romans 3:13

  31. with their tongues they have used the seats.

  32. Excuse me.

  33. The poison of asps is under their lips whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.

  34. Their feet are swift as shed blood.

  35. Destruction and misery are in their ways.

  36. And the way of peace have they not known.

  37. There is no fear of God before their eyes.

  38. This is a toxic person right?

  39. They have lips as an adder.

  40. They are swift as shed blood.

  41. They're full of cursing and bitterness.

  42. Their throat is as an open sepulcher.

  43. James chapter 3 verse number 6 says that the tongue is a fire.

    James 3 chapter mention

  44. A world of iniquity so is the tongue among our members

  45. that it defileeth the whole body and seteth on fire the course of nature

  46. and it is set on fire of hell.

  47. Every kind of beast and of birds and of serpents

  48. and of things in the sea is tamed and have been tamed of mankind

  49. but the tongue can no man tame.

  50. It is an unruly evil full of deadly poison.

  51. Notice that a lot of the attributes that are associated with toxic people

  52. has to do with the things that they say.

  53. It has to do with the words that they communicate,

  54. the way people act with their communication,

  55. the things that they say unto you.

  56. They say to me Deuteronomy 32 and verse 33 says that their wine

  57. is the poison of dragons and the cruel venom of asps.

  58. This is basically implying here that wine of course we know to be

  59. in the Bible can refer to alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages.

  60. If we were to approach this in a non-alcoholic beverage type of context

  61. we could say oh it looks sweet.

  62. It tastes initially good.

  63. It tastes sweet but you know what it is?

  64. It's the poison of dragons.

  65. It's the cruel venom of asps.

  66. Go to Micah chapter 7 if you would.

    Micah 7 chapter mention

  67. Micah chapter 7 and then we're going to go to 2 Samuel chapter 13.

Micah 7 chapter mention 2 Samuel 13 chapter mention

  68. Micah chapter 7 and then 2 Samuel chapter 13.

Micah 7 chapter mention 2 Samuel 13 chapter mention

  69. Let me make a disclaimer here in this sermon is that

  70. the people I'm going to talk about in this sermon

  71. I'm not referring to Christians who simply need to grow or mature

  72. or lack a sense of self-awareness.

  73. Obviously all of us when we start out,

  74. when we first get saved or babes in Christ

  75. there's a lot of things we've got to work on.

  76. We have a lot of spiritual immaturity.

  77. We lack a lot of discernment

  78. and we come with baggage to the Christian life

  79. and it should be the goal of every Christian

  80. to essentially get rid of the baggage,

  81. go through the process, excuse me my throat is just dry

  82. it's like an open sepulchre.

  83. It should be that we get rid of the baggage,

  84. that we go through the process of sanctification

  85. and not necessarily be associated with the old man per se

  86. but we shed off a lot of that old man

  87. and we come better as the time goes by.

  88. And so the people I'm talking about here

  89. are not Christians who are still growing in their faith

  90. they're still growing in the Lord.

  91. I'm referring to people who are intentionally toxic

  92. and fit the description that I'm going to lay out

  93. to you this evening through the testimonies

  94. of various people in the Bible.

  95. Now I have three points for you this evening

  96. and so after I'm done ripping face

  97. then we're going to play some board games

  98. and we're going to be happy, it's going to be great

  99. and we're going to enjoy ourselves amen.

  100. Here are my three points.

  101. I'm going to talk about toxic family, friends and females.

  102. All F's.

  103. Now the last one is females.

  104. I might address some males but let's just be honest

  105. the Bible actually warns men more about women

  106. than vice versa.

  107. There's more warnings about the strange women in the Bible

  108. than there is warning women about strange men.

  109. So the three points are family, friends and females

  110. all of which can be found in and out of church.

  111. So point number one is beware of toxic family members.

  112. We're talking about people in your family,

  113. your immediate family, maybe even extended family

  114. who are tempting you to sin or would hinder you spiritually.

  115. We need to beware of people like this

  116. in our personalized family.

  117. It can often be the main culprit

  118. in hindering us spiritually.

  119. They sometimes succeed because they know us

  120. for who we really are or who we used to be.

  121. And can often use that as leverage.

  122. You get someone who's newly saved

  123. and you start serving God

  124. and what do you have?

  125. You have family members that see you

  126. making progress in the Christian life.

  127. They see you being sanctified,

  128. going to church, reading the Bible.

  129. What do they do?

  130. They begin to criticize you because of that.

  131. They begin to criticize you

  132. and try to slow you down

  133. and try to bring up your past

  134. and the things that you used to do

  135. and this isn't really you.

  136. These are toxic people that we don't need in our lives.

  137. Sometimes family, because they are close relatives,

  138. they can be far more successful

  139. at tempting us to sin

  140. because they have influence over us.

  141. Maybe family members, you have certain family members

  142. that you used to sin with, did sinful things with

  143. and now you're seeking to live a godly life

  144. and they see that they can often be the main culprits

  145. to come to you and tempt you

  146. to go back into that lifestyle,

  147. go back to that sinful habit

  148. and do things that are displeasing unto the Lord

  149. only because they know they have influence over you.

  150. They're the ones that introduced you

  151. to sin in the first place.

  152. They're the ones who introduced you

  153. to that particular environment to begin with

  154. and to that I say, you know, beware

  155. of the toxic family member in your life

  156. and you may think to yourself,

  157. well, you know, I don't really have a family member

  158. that tries to tempt me to sin

  159. but you might have a family member

  160. that tries to tempt you to become apathetic

  161. towards the things of God.

  162. Meaning, oh, don't be so, you know,

  163. excited about the things of God.

  164. You're doing too much. You're going to church too much.

  165. You're, you know, evangelizing too much.

  166. Oh, now you're wearing dresses all of a sudden.

  167. Oh, now you're wearing a suit all of a sudden.

  168. You know, these are toxic people, okay,

  169. that we need to be aware of.

  170. These are the fire extinguishers, so to speak.

  171. When you're on fire for God,

  172. they try to tame you a little bit.

  173. They try to calm you down

  174. because you're making them look bad

  175. and this is very common with Christians

  176. who have other so-called Christians

  177. as family members.

  178. You know, Christians are just like,

  179. well, I've been a Christian a lot longer than you.

  180. I've been in this thing a lot longer than you

  181. and you're going to tell me

  182. what the Christian life is all about.

  183. You know what it's called? It's called being salt unto them.

  184. Salt irritates people

  185. and so when they view that you kind of,

  186. you're lapping them spiritually speaking,

  187. they don't like that

  188. and they want to slow you down.

  189. Beware of the toxic family member

  190. that is seeking to hinder you spiritually.

  191. Now you might be sitting there thinking,

  192. well, I don't really have anybody like that.

  193. Okay, then ignore me right now, you know.

  194. Don't be that person then, okay?

  195. Let me read to you a couple passages here.

  196. I'm going to read to you from Deuteronomy 13 verse 6.

    Deuteronomy 13:6

  197. It says,

  198. If thy brother, the son of thy mother,

  199. or thy son, or thy daughter,

  200. or the wife of thy bosom,

  201. or thy friend, which is as thine own soul,

  202. entice thee secretly,

  203. saying, let us go and serve other gods,

  204. which thou has not known,

  205. thou nor thy fathers,

  206. namely of the gods of the people which are round about you,

  207. nigh unto thee, or far off from thee,

  208. from the one end of the earth,

  209. even unto the end of the earth,

  210. thou shalt not consent unto him,

  211. nor hearken unto him,

  212. neither shalt thou I pity him,

  213. neither shalt thou spare,

  214. neither shalt thou conceal him.

  215. What is the Bible telling us here?

  216. Don't be a respecter of people

  217. when it comes to your own family members

  218. who are trying to cause you to sin,

  219. deviate from the things of God,

  220. get out of church,

  221. or go to some other false religion.

  222. You need to make sure that your loyalty lies

  223. with the Lord Jesus Christ.

  224. You're like, oh man,

  225. but how is that going to work in my marriage?

  226. Well, you know what?

  227. The reality is sometimes Jesus Christ

  228. causes division in your marriage.

  229. And you know what?

  230. We're to choose Christ even over our own spouse.

  231. Yes, that's correct.

  232. Look at Micah 7 verse 5.

    Micah 7:5

  233. It says, trust ye not in a friend.

  234. Micah 7 verse 5.

    Micah 7:5

  235. Trust ye not in a friend.

  236. Put ye not confidence in a guide.

  237. Keep the doors of thy mouth

  238. from her that lieeth in thy bosom.

  239. For the son dishonoreth the father,

  240. the daughter riseeth up against her mother.

  241. The daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.

  242. And a man's enemies are the men of his own house.

  243. Of course, we know that this is reiterated

  244. in the New Testament by Jesus Christ

  245. in Matthew chapter 10

    Matthew 10 chapter mention

  246. in the context of end times.

  247. But we see that even today, right?

  248. And let me just remind you, you know,

  249. if you have the liberty to cut off

  250. toxic family members from your life,

  251. then do it.

  252. You know, if there's people in your life

  253. that you've invited into your life

  254. that are criticizing the things of God,

  255. criticizing your leadership,

  256. they're criticizing your stance on certain things,

  257. and you're choosing to keep them in your life,

  258. you should cut them off immediately.

  259. I would that they were cut off, right?

  260. Them that trouble you.

  261. And that goes for adult children as well.

  262. You know, if there's an adult child,

  263. you know, that you have in your life

  264. and they are mocking the things of God,

  265. they don't respect your leadership,

  266. they're disrespecting you, cut them off!

  267. Remove them completely.

  268. You say, why?

  269. Well, number one,

  270. because you don't want that toxic relationship

  271. in your life, but number two,

  272. let me also say this,

  273. they can often poison the other children

  274. to also have that same disposition towards you.

  275. So in order to prevent that leaven

  276. from spreading that toxicity

  277. from spreading in the family,

  278. you need to make sure you cut people off like that.

  279. Okay?

  280. You know, adult children that are involved in sin,

  281. they're involved in iniquity,

  282. they've been excommunicated from a church,

  283. they're involved in things they shouldn't be doing,

  284. you know, you should remove from people like that

  285. from your personal lives

  286. because you're a Christian

  287. and you need to practice

  288. ecclesiastical separation from them,

  289. removing toxic people from them.

  290. Don't make exceptions for people

  291. just because they're your family members.

  292. Now, look, obviously,

  293. you might be in a situation where you can't control that.

  294. You might be in a situation where your mom and your dad

  295. are involved in a particular sin

  296. and you know what?

  297. You can't really do anything about that.

  298. You can't move away,

  299. you can't rebuke them

  300. because they're paying the bills.

  301. Here's what you could do,

  302. grow up, get married and move out.

  303. If you're in that situation,

  304. there's nothing you can do.

  305. Okay?

  306. Sorry, that's just,

  307. that's your law and life

  308. until you become desirable

  309. to some human being in this world

  310. and they would want to marry you

  311. and then you can live happily ever after,

  312. thereafter, okay?

  313. Look at 2 Samuel 13.

  314. Let's look at an example

  315. of toxic family members.

  316. Let's look at Amnon and Jonadab, okay?

  317. 2 Samuel 13 verse 1 says,

    2 Samuel 13:1

  318. And it came to pass after this

  319. that Absalom, the son of David,

  320. had a fair sister

  321. whose name was Tamar

  322. and Amnon, the son of David,

  323. loved her.

  324. Amnon was so vexed

  325. that he fell sick for his sister Tamar

  326. for she was a virgin

  327. and Amnon thought it hard for him

  328. to do anything to her.

  329. Now this is weird.

  330. Okay, it's super weird.

  331. You know, I don't know what's up with this dude, okay?

  332. You know, this guy has a major crush

  333. on his half-sister Tamar

  334. and the Bible says in verse 2

  335. that he's fallen sick for her,

  336. meaning that he's just kind of like,

  337. he's become just obsessed over her.

  338. He has this inordinate affection

  339. towards his sister

  340. and, you know, he's struggling

  341. with these thoughts

  342. and he's struggling with these emotions

  343. and he's finding it hard to do anything to her

  344. because he knows that it would be wrong

  345. to do so, right?

  346. So, you know, if we were to just take

  347. this one part of the equation,

  348. this one variable out of the equation

  349. like it was her sister,

  350. we can say like maybe there's people

  351. in this world that exist like that.

  352. You know, a young man

  353. can fall in love with a woman

  354. and he can become like overly obsessed

  355. with her and all this stuff.

  356. You know, these are natural emotions

  357. that people can experience

  358. and they kind of need to work through them, right?

  359. They kind of need to like let it die out

  360. and pray through it if you're a Christian

  361. and not allow those things to consume you, okay?

  362. And then later on down the road,

  363. you grow up and you mature in your faith

  364. and you know, you just kind of get over it

  365. and you're just like, that was kind of stupid

  366. that I felt that way, you know?

  367. I wasn't really in love, I guess.

  368. I was just kind of feeling that way, you know?

  369. Because young people just kind of act dumb sometimes, right?

  370. They just are easily enveloped

  371. in this fantasy world in their mind

  372. towards an individual and then they can feel that way.

  373. So, you know, it's kind of natural

  374. that he felt this way.

  375. Obviously, it's weird that it was towards his sister,

  376. but let's just ignore that part

  377. just for the sake of the story, all right?

  378. You know, for the sake of the principle.

  379. So, you know, it would have been good if he just, you know,

  380. okay, he's struggling.

  381. He probably would have gotten over it later on

  382. and he is the king's son.

  383. He would have met some girl.

  384. It would have been great

  385. and, you know, he could have just kept us to himself

  386. and not being embarrassed for the last, you know,

  387. 4,000 years, 3,000 years

  388. over the fact that he had a crush on his sister, okay?

  389. But here's the problem.

  390. Look at verse 3.

  391. Amnon had a friend.

  392. Now, this friend is his cousin.

  393. His family.

  394. So it says,

  395. But Amnon had a friend whose name was John Adab,

  396. the son of Shimea,

  397. David's brother,

  398. and John Adab was a very subtle man.

  399. So if the story ended in verse 2,

  400. it would have been great

  401. and I'm sure we would have seen Amnon living later on.

  402. But the problem is he had a toxic family member

  403. by the name of John Adab, okay?

  404. And the Bible's telling us here

  405. that he's a very subtle man.

  406. Now, there's a reason the Bible's using this terminology

  407. is because of the fact that it's trying to help us

  408. to realize that he kind of,

  409. he kind of pictures Satan here, right?

  410. Satan in the serpent in Genesis 3

  411. was more subtle than all the beasts of the field.

  412. And we see that the cousin here, John Adab,

  413. is a very subtle man.

  414. So obviously the Bible's giving us this picture

  415. that he is very cunning.

  416. He's being introduced as like,

  417. okay, what's this guy all about?

  418. What's he gonna do here?

  419. Verse 4.

  420. And he said to him,

  421. Why art thou, being the king's son,

  422. lean from day to day?

  423. Well, don't not tell me.

  424. Let me just say this.

  425. Beware of who you divulge your emotions to, okay?

  426. You need to be careful who you divulge

  427. your innermost emotional thoughts to.

  428. You know, sometimes we just gotta let it out, right?

  429. You know, sometimes we just,

  430. and it's good for you to have someone

  431. that you can confide in, you know,

  432. like a godly person that you know

  433. will not be a tail bearer,

  434. someone who's trustworthy, someone who's mature.

  435. But don't choose like 10 of them though.

  436. I would even choose five of them.

  437. I'd choose maybe like one or two, if that.

  438. And you know, you should have someone like that.

  439. But you gotta be careful who you talk to

  440. because sometimes people just wanna hear your drama

  441. just so they can use it against you later on.

  442. Or even like in this case, at the very moment.

  443. So he's like, why aren't you telling me what's wrong, man?

  444. And Amnon said to him,

  445. I love Tamar, my brother, absolute sister.

  446. Now if Jonathan was a righteous person,

  447. he'd be like, that's weird, bro.

  448. Have you told anybody else about this?

  449. Okay, good, don't tell anybody else.

  450. Let's find you another woman in this kingdom.

  451. You're the king's son.

  452. Like your sister, really?

  453. That's gross, right?

  454. That's what a righteous family member would have done.

  455. Okay?

  456. Now if you have a family member

  457. that admonishes you in a very spiritual,

  458. righteous way, praise God for that.

  459. That's great.

  460. If you have someone that you can share your heart with,

  461. maybe it is a cousin or a brother or a sister,

  462. and they give you good scriptural advice,

  463. they encourage you in a righteous way,

  464. that's awesome.

  465. You know, to have someone you can share your heart with

  466. and they're just like, you know what,

  467. these emotions are normal,

  468. but don't tell anybody.

  469. You need to make sure that you just get over this

  470. and I'm gonna be there to help you,

  471. hold you accountable to this, you know,

  472. and you need to make sure you marry righteously.

  473. This is not God's will.

  474. It's not a natural thing for you

  475. to want to, you know, give in to.

  476. You know, that would have been the right answer.

  477. But instead, what does John the Dab do?

  478. He basically helps him to construct the plan

  479. to rape the sister.

  480. Verse five says in John the Dab said to him,

  481. lay thee down on thy bed, make thyself sick,

  482. and when thy father cometh to see thee,

  483. say unto him, I pray thee, let my sister Tamar come

  484. and give me meat and dress the meat of my sight,

  485. that I may see it and eat at her hand.

  486. So Amnon lay down, made himself sick,

  487. and when the king was come to see him,

  488. Amnon said unto the king, I pray thee, let Tamar,

  489. my sister come and make me a couple of cakes

  490. in my sight that I may eat at her hand.

  491. So instead of, you know,

  492. admonishing them, correcting him, rebuking him,

  493. what does he do?

  494. He's just like, I got a plan for you.

  495. You know, why don't you fake like you're sick,

  496. request for her to take care of you,

  497. and the implication there is like,

  498. then you can do whatever it is that you want to do.

  499. It's godless, wicked, okay?

  500. This is a toxic cousin here.

  501. Look at verse seven.

  502. So you know, he requests for this.

  503. Verse seven says then David sent home to Tamar saying,

  504. go now to thy brother Amnon's house,

  505. dress him meat.

  506. So Tamar went to her brother Amnon's house

  507. and he was laid down,

  508. and she took flour, needed it,

  509. and so forth.

  510. Skip down to verse number.

  511. Let's see here.

  512. Look at verse 11.

  513. And when she had brought them unto him to eat,

  514. he took hold of her and said unto her,

  515. come lie with me, my sister.

  516. Like bro, my sister, like,

  517. does that just seem weird?

  518. And she answered him,

  519. name my brother, do not force me

  520. for no such thing ought to be done in Israel.

  521. Do not thou this folly,

  522. and I withers shall I cause my shame to go.

  523. And as for thee, thou shalt be

  524. as one of the fools in Israel.

  525. Now therefore I pray thee,

  526. speaking to the king,

  527. for he will not withhold thee,

  528. hold me from thee.

  529. So you know, Tamar is just like,

  530. hey, at least go about this the right way

  531. if this is what you want.

  532. Request the king to allow you

  533. to marry me and vice versa,

  534. and he's not going to stop you.

  535. Why are you going to do it this way?

  536. Why are you going to rape this woman

  537. in order to satiate this desire?

  538. Verse 14, Habib,

  539. he would not harken unto her voice,

  540. but being stronger than she,

  541. forced her and lay with her.

  542. Then Amnon hated her exceedingly,

  543. so that the hatred with he hated her

  544. was greater than the love with he had loved her.

  545. And Amnon said unto her,

  546. arise, be gone.

  547. And so it's that story,

  548. and of course we know that

  549. Amnon ended up dying because of this.

  550. Absalom ends up murdering

  551. Amnon because of it,

  552. and a lot of family drama

  553. arose because of this particular sin.

  554. But who's the one who's behind all this?

  555. It was the toxic cousin.

  556. It was the toxic cousin

  557. who gave Amnon bad advice.

  558. He helped him to construct the plan

  559. to rape his sister

  560. thereby causing Tamar to be raped,

  561. thereby causing Amnon to lose his life,

  562. thereby causing Absalom

  563. to become bitter towards Amnon,

  564. towards his father,

  565. and essentially disrupting the kingdom.

  566. Why? Because there was a toxic family member

  567. involved.

  568. You better be aware

  569. of that toxic family member

  570. that you have in your life.

  571. The one who manipulates you,

  572. the one who is just

  573. constantly putting you down

  574. because you're a Christian,

  575. you're trying to serve your husband,

  576. you're trying to love your wife,

  577. you're trying to raise your kids

  578. in a godly manner,

  579. and they're just constantly talking down on you,

  580. constantly putting down in your mind,

  581. constantly questioning the Word of God,

  582. constantly giving you bad advice.

  583. Get away from people like that.

  584. And, you know, once Amnon dies,

  585. you know who's the one

  586. who basically tells David what happened?

  587. It's Jonadad.

  588. You know what? That's what Satan does.

  589. He tempts you to sin

  590. and then he accuses you to the father, right?

  591. Like, oh, look what he did, you know?

  592. He's there to see your downfall, okay?

  593. Jonadad provokes Amnon to sin.

  594. He planted the seeds in the mind of Amnon

  595. to commit this grievous sin,

  596. and he's there to see the outcome

  597. and essentially he's not affected by it at all.

  598. Go to 1 Kings chapter 21.

    1 Kings 21 chapter mention

  599. 1 Kings chapter 21, if you would.

    1 Kings 21 chapter mention

  600. 1 Kings chapter 21.

    1 Kings 21 chapter mention

  601. You know, beware of the aunt,

  602. you know, who's highly esteemed in your family

  603. as being the one who gives all the best advice.

  604. Beware of the uncle,

  605. especially the uncle, okay?

  606. You know, beware of the cousins,

  607. beware of the brother.

  608. We need to make sure that we're not a respecter of people

  609. and say, well, they're my family

  610. and so, you know, blood is thickening in water.

  611. Okay, if you want to go by that philosophy

  612. that blood is thickening in water,

  613. the blood of Christ is thickening in that.

  614. We need to realize that the family that we should esteem

  615. are those who actually serve God

  616. and obey the word of God, okay?

  617. Not at the exclusion at providing

  618. for our family members, okay?

  619. If they're under our household,

  620. they're under our jurisdiction.

  621. I'm just saying, don't just choose a family member

  622. based upon blood when they're out here

  623. blaspheming the Lord and giving you bad advice

  624. and trying to lead you astray in an intentional way.

  625. You know, criticizing your spouse,

  626. constantly putting down your husband,

  627. putting down your wife, you know, folks,

  628. you better make sure you defend your spouse

  629. to the people criticizing them.

  630. You better defend your spouse, you know,

  631. to your mother or your father.

  632. If your mom is saying stuff about your spouse,

  633. you better stand up for your spouse

  634. and be like, hey, watch your mouth.

  635. You don't talk that way about my wife, okay?

  636. You know, you don't talk that way about my wife,

  637. you don't talk that way about my kids.

  638. That's not, we don't do that here.

  639. And you know what?

  640. If they apologize and never do it again, it's good.

  641. But if they keep doing it,

  642. be like, don't ever come around.

  643. I'm not gonna tolerate people

  644. blasting my wife,

  645. you shouldn't tolerate people blasting your husband,

  646. you know, gossiping about them,

  647. putting them down, talking trash about them.

  648. Where's your loyalty?

  649. Your loyalty should be to your spouse

  650. and to your children, amen?

  651. So I don't, and you know,

  652. there's been times in my personal life

  653. where I've literally cut off blood relatives

  654. because they criticize my spouse.

  655. Which I don't even know how you can criticize my wife.

  656. She like never talks.

  657. She's just there, you know?

  658. But I remember a family member criticizing my wife,

  659. trying to use the situation

  660. and trying to manipulate a situation.

  661. And I said, like, I will never talk to you ever again.

  662. And I blocked that person

  663. and you know, when family members came,

  664. they were like, hey, what's going on?

  665. I don't know, I'm not interested.

  666. Until that person comes and apologizes

  667. for what they said against my wife,

  668. I'm not interested in talking to that person.

  669. I don't care if I grew up with this person,

  670. if I've known them my entire life,

  671. my loyalty is to my wife.

  672. And so, you know,

  673. get away from toxic family members

  674. who undermine your authority,

  675. who undermine your husband's authority,

  676. who, you know,

  677. are constantly criticizing the way you do things.

  678. Oh, you homeschool.

  679. What are you guys doing that for?

  680. Oh man, oh, that's why you do this.

  681. Why are you wearing dresses?

  682. You shouldn't be wearing dresses.

  683. Don't let them tell you what to do.

  684. You know, just, girl, just stand up for yourself.

  685. Girl, you're in your prime, girl.

  686. You know, if I walked in

  687. in a conversation like that,

  688. you know,

  689. you guys know jazz from French Prince of Bel Air?

  690. You know, every time you get thrown out,

  691. it's like, ah, you just get thrown out.

  692. Why? Because first and foremost,

  693. obviously our loyalty is towards the Lord Jesus Christ,

  694. but also towards those

  695. who He's placed in our lives,

  696. such as our spouse, our children.

  697. Bible tells us in Luke chapter 14,

    Luke 14 chapter mention

  698. in verse 26,

  699. This is not saying that our loyalty to Jesus Christ

  700. should be hatred towards our relatives,

  701. towards our spouse.

  702. It's saying that our loyalty should almost seem

  703. as though it's hatred towards others,

  704. because we love the Lord

  705. and we're loyal to Him

  706. and we're going to choose Him above everyone else.

  707. Let me read to you another scripture

  708. before we get into First Kings.

  709. Actually, let's skip First Kings.

  710. Go to Matthew 12.

  711. Matthew chapter 12.

    Matthew 12 chapter mention

  712. I was going to use First Kings to talk about the fact that,

  713. you know, we need to make sure

  714. we stay away from family members

  715. that are enablers.

  716. Okay?

  717. You know, don't raise your family

  718. in an environment of enablers.

  719. You know, if there's someone in your family

  720. that's committing grievous sins and they know that,

  721. you know, we should not be participating

  722. in enabling them in that sin.

  723. Okay?

  724. We should still exercise First Corinthians chapter 5

    1 Corinthians 5 chapter mention

  725. and cut that person off from our life

  726. until they decide to repent

  727. and not make exceptions for these individuals.

  728. Okay?

  729. You know, and you have people,

  730. like, for example, Jezebel,

  731. said that she stirred up Ahab

  732. to commit these sins.

  733. And let me read to you Jeremiah 23 verse 14.

    Jeremiah 23:14

  734. It says,

  735. And we don't want to be guilty of that.

  736. We don't want to be guilty

  737. of strengthening the hands of sinful people.

  738. If you have someone in your family

  739. who's a Christian and they're committing fornication,

  740. that needs to be cut off and they know that it's wrong.

  741. They know they need to repent

  742. and they're unwilling to do so.

  743. You should have the integrity to cut that person off.

  744. That's a toxic individual.

  745. That's leaven that will leaven the whole lump.

  746. And you know, you're providing a bad example

  747. for your children by tolerating that sin.

  748. You got to think about it, folks.

  749. It's not just loyalty to principle.

  750. Loyalty to Jesus Christ.

  751. It also just sets a bad example to your children.

  752. Because your children is like,

  753. oh, yeah, we're against fortification.

  754. Oh, mom and dad, but how come you're cool with it

  755. when it comes to, you know, auntie and uncle

  756. and, you know, a cousin, so and so.

  757. But it's okay with them.

  758. They're Christians. They're doing it.

  759. You seem to tolerate that.

  760. That's called being a respecter of people.

  761. You're a compromiser if that's you.

  762. You know, we need to make sure

  763. that we remove ourselves from toxic individuals.

  764. Look at Matthew 12, verse 46.

    Matthew 12:46

  765. It says here, while he yet talked to the people

  766. referring to Jesus,

  767. behold, his mother and his brethren

  768. stood without desiring to speak with him.

  769. Then one said that to him,

  770. behold, thy mother and thy brethren

  771. stand without desiring to speak with thee.

  772. This is what Jesus said.

  773. Oh, the blessed mother.

  774. Everyone move out of the way.

  775. This is the reason you guys are not

  776. going to get saved.

  777. It's because of the blessed holy mother.

  778. Eh.

  779. Verse 48.

  780. But he answered to him

  781. that told him, who is my mother

  782. and who are my brethren?

  783. Man, talk about a diss.

  784. Who?

  785. Your mom and your brother

  786. stand without, who?

  787. Who's my mother and who are my brethren?

  788. And he stretched forth his hand

  789. toward his disciples and said, behold,

  790. my mother and my brethren, for whose service shall

  791. I do the will of my father which is in heaven,

  792. the same as my brother and sister and mother.

  793. You know what this demonstrates to me?

  794. It demonstrates that God expects us to be loyal

  795. to those who do the will of God

  796. and not to be a respecter of people

  797. to blood relatives just because they're blood relatives.

  798. You know, if you have a relative

  799. that is a complete drunkard,

  800. they're a drug addict, you need to cut

  801. that person off from your life.

  802. Well, we kind of grew up together

  803. and we just know each other.

  804. Yeah, you're being a bad testimony

  805. to him and to everyone around you

  806. by tolerating that.

  807. You're being a bad testimony to your kids

  808. because they're seeing that you're still buddy buddies

  809. with someone who's a pot smoker.

  810. They're a drunkard. They're a drug addict.

  811. They're compromising the word of God.

  812. We need to make sure that we get rid of,

  813. listen to this, toxic family members.

  814. Okay?

  815. You know, and again,

  816. you might think to yourself, well, all my family members are here.

  817. Well, good for you.

  818. Praise God for that.

  819. That's what I have too. My family's in church.

  820. I'm just talking to those of us who may not have

  821. all our family in church, okay?

  822. And I'm here to remind you

  823. that God still expects us

  824. to practice biblical separation

  825. from people who are involved in sin.

  826. They're called a brother,

  827. but they're a fornicator.

  828. They're a drunkard. They're a railer.

  829. They're an extortionist. They're an idolater.

  830. The Bible says, with such a one, no, not to eat.

  831. Why? Because they're toxic.

  832. It's leaven. It can spread.

  833. It can corrupt you.

  834. Go to 1 Kings chapter 12.

    1 Kings 12 chapter mention

  835. 1 Kings chapter 12, if you would.

    1 Kings 12 chapter mention

  836. 1 Kings chapter 12.

    1 Kings 12 chapter mention

  837. What's the title of the sermon?

  838. The title of the sermon is Beware of Toxicity.

  839. You got to beware of toxic family members

  840. who are trying to hinder you.

  841. They criticize you.

  842. And let me say this, you know,

  843. I believe that we need to honor our parents.

  844. Okay?

  845. We need to make sure we honor them, right?

  846. Loving honor our parents.

  847. But, if you are a father,

  848. if you are a mother of children,

  849. yes, you're obligated to honor your parents,

  850. but not beyond the scope

  851. and the boundaries of the Word of God.

  852. Meaning that if your parents

  853. are criticizing the things of God,

  854. especially in front of your children,

  855. don't tolerate that.

  856. Don't tolerate it.

  857. You know, criticizing your parenting,

  858. criticizing the way you do things,

  859. don't put up with it.

  860. You know, it's a privilege

  861. to allow our parents

  862. to be involved in our lives.

  863. It's a privilege for us, but it's also a privilege for them.

  864. Because you know,

  865. grandparents love their grandkids, right?

  866. Well, if they want to maintain that privilege,

  867. they need to do it on our terms.

  868. It's the way it works.

  869. Okay?

  870. Don't be a little compromiser

  871. and just, well, you know,

  872. when Nana's around,

  873. when Pawpaw's around,

  874. then it's a little different.

  875. We need to talk. No.

  876. They need to abide by scripture rules

  877. that you have in your home.

  878. They need to respect your authority.

  879. And don't allow anybody who just come into your house

  880. and undermine your scripture authority

  881. in front of your kids, especially.

  882. You don't have to do that.

  883. And look, don't encourage that.

  884. Don't allow that.

  885. Don't allow your mom and dad

  886. to not only undermine your authority

  887. to your kids,

  888. but also to try to teach them to lie,

  889. to try to teach them to

  890. adopt wicked habits

  891. against your authority.

  892. That's wrong. It's wicked. It's toxic.

  893. There's nothing wrong with saying, hey,

  894. if you do that again,

  895. you're not going to see these kids ever again.

  896. Because this is a Christian home.

  897. We're not going to teach our kids

  898. to be rebellious against us,

  899. to normalize lying

  900. to their parents

  901. and withholding information

  902. because you're telling them to do so.

  903. That's wrong.

  904. Beware of toxic family.

  905. Point number two,

  906. beware of toxic friends.

  907. You need to watch out

  908. for people who claim to be friends,

  909. but they're inwardly

  910. want your downfall or something.

  911. Toxic people.

  912. And look, there's people out there like this.

  913. I'm just telling you right now.

  914. You're like, why I got so many friends on Facebook?

  915. They're not your friends.

  916. These are frenemies

  917. in a lot of instances.

  918. You need to watch out for friends

  919. even if they're Christians.

  920. Because Christians can often

  921. also be guilty of envy,

  922. covetousness,

  923. feeling a sense of

  924. strife and emulation

  925. within themselves against you.

  926. Obviously, the Bible tells us

  927. to show ourselves friendly,

  928. to be a friend to all,

  929. but we need to make sure we choose

  930. our close friends carefully

  931. and not, you know,

  932. choose people who inwardly

  933. don't really like us.

  934. And that is the real thing.

  935. Now, what's a good example of this?

  936. When I'm talking about toxic friends,

  937. I'm talking about friends

  938. who claim to support you

  939. or want to give you advice,

  940. but they always give you bad advice

  941. so the outcome does not come out

  942. in your favor.

  943. People like that.

  944. Look at 1 Kings 12 verse 1.

    1 Kings 12:1

  945. And he said,

  946. and he said unto him, depart yet for three days,

  947. then come again to me,

  948. and the people depart.

  949. And King Rehoboam consulted with the old men

  950. that stood before Solomon his father

  951. while he had lived and said,

  952. how do you advise that I may answer this people?

  953. So he's like, you know,

  954. this guy's willing to just kind of give me

  955. the reins to the leadership.

  956. All he's saying is that we need to make sure

  957. we're a little nicer than my dad.

  958. My dad was pretty strict.

  959. He kind of ruled with an iron fist.

  960. And so what do you advise that I do?

  961. They speak unto him saying verse 7,

  962. if that will be a servant unto this people this day

  963. and will serve them and answer them

  964. and speak good words to them,

  965. then they will be thy servants forever.

  966. Now, this is not the sermon,

  967. but verse 7 gives a lot of good things there, right?

  968. There's a lot of good advice.

  969. In fact, these are New Testament principles that we see, right?

  970. Being a servant, speaking good words to them.

  971. He says they'll be your servants forever.

  972. If you just behave yourself wisely to these people,

  973. they'll serve you, okay?

  974. Verse 8,

  975. but he forsook the counsel of the old men

  976. which they had given him

  977. and consulted with the young men that were grown up with him

  978. which stood before him.

  979. And he said unto them,

  980. what counsel give ye that we may answer this people

  981. who have spoken to me saying,

  982. make the yoke which thy father did put upon us lighter?

  983. And the young men that were grown up with him

  984. spake unto them saying,

  985. thou shalt thou speak unto this people that spake unto thee same?

  986. Thy father made our yoke heavy,

  987. but make thou it lighter unto us,

  988. thou shalt say unto them,

  989. my little finger shall be thicker than my father's loins.

  990. He's like, man, you need to stand up for yourself

  991. and say, you think my dad was bad?

  992. Man, I'm going to be worse.

  993. You know, I'm going to whoop you.

  994. My little finger's going to be thicker than that.

  995. Then his loins,

  996. he's basically saying like you didn't see nothing yet.

  997. Now whereas my father did laid you with heavy yoke,

  998. I will add to your yoke,

  999. my father had chastised you with whips,

1000. but I would chastise you with scorpions.

  1001. Good night.

1002. Jeroboam and all the people came to Jeroboam the third day

1003. as the king had appointed same,

1004. come to me again the third day and so forth.

1005. And of course he tells them this.

1006. Now obviously this ended up causing the split of the kingdom

1007. because of this bad advice.

1008. Now we obviously know that this is of the Lord,

  1009. but it also demonstrates

1010. that these people who are giving this advice

1011. didn't necessarily have the kingdom

  1012. in its best interest.

1013. It wasn't necessarily looking to see,

1014. okay, what's the best outcome that we can provide here?

  1015. What's the best solution?

1016. They're just like, you need to just

1017. tell them how it is.

1018. You just need to tell the truth.

1019. You just need to make sure that you just stand your ground,

1020. but it wasn't necessarily a wise answer

1021. and it caused the kingdom to be split.

1022. Now what is the principle that we can learn here

1023. when it comes to friendship?

1024. We need to make sure first and foremost

1025. that we pick our friends wisely

1026. and then also just because they're your friends

1027. doesn't mean you need advice from them.

1028. You don't need advice from every friend.

  1029. Why?

1030. Because most of the time your contemporaries,

  1031. they're pretty dumb.

1032. And sometimes they're as dumb as you.

  1033. Okay?

  1034. Amen?

1035. Sometimes they just got bad advice.

1036. They just kind of come up with it on a whim.

1037. You know, go to the old men.

1038. Go to the people who have experience.

1039. You know, they don't got a dog in the fight.

1040. They don't necessarily have anything to prove.

1041. They have your best interest in mind.

1042. You know, sometimes your contemporaries,

  1043. they're just bad influences.

1044. And look, I'm not saying don't have friends,

1045. but I'm just saying your closest friend

1046. that is like your age

1047. doesn't always have the best advice.

  1048. Okay?

1049. And so, you know, you need to be careful

1050. that you don't have certain friends around you

  1051. that are toxic.

1052. Because let me just say this.

1053. There's sometimes that there are friends around you

1054. that will advise you because they know

  1055. that's a bad decision.

1056. They want you to make that bad decision

1057. because they want to look good

  1058. in comparison to you.

1059. And you need to be aware of that.

  1060. Does that really exist?

  1061. Yes, that exists.

1062. There's some dudes out there that are just toxic.

1063. There's friends out there that are just toxic.

1064. You know, there's people out there

1065. that, you know, they don't really care about you.

  1066. Okay?

  1067. They will flatter you.

1068. They will lie to your face

1069. because they don't really care.

1070. You know, I prefer the friend who tells me I'm fat

1071. and says, yeah, you know, you're a bit overweight

1072. and you got to, you know, work on that or whatever.

1073. And instead of like, oh, you look great, man.

1074. Take off your shirt, bro.

  1075. You're jacked, bro.

1076. Just straight causing delusions, you know?

1077. You think it's cool if I take off?

  1078. Just do it, bro.

1079. You're more jacked than me.

1080. And then everyone's just like,

1081. because you just look disgusting.

1082. But you know, there's toxic people out there

1083. that will lie to you like that.

1084. Just because they want to embarrass you,

1085. you know what I mean?

  1086. They want your downfall.

1087. You need to make sure that you have

1088. the right people around you.

1089. And look, it's good to have friends

  1090. that challenge each other,

1091. but don't necessarily keep friends around you

1092. that are constantly competing with you, though.

  1093. Meaning that like,

1094. and look, if you're competing with your friend,

1095. it's like a healthy competition where they want you to succeed

1096. and, you know, you want them to succeed

1097. and you guys kind of, you know, iron sharpen it, iron.

  1098. That's one thing.

1099. But then there are other friends out there

1100. who are just toxic who compete with you

1101. because they don't want you to succeed.

1102. They want to be better than you.

1103. You know what, they want to gloat of their success.

1104. They want to brag about their success to you.

  1105. That's a toxic friend.

1106. And look, if you're that friend

1107. and people are talking about their success to you,

  1108. praise them for it.

  1109. Rejoice with them.

  1110. They rejoice.

  1111. Be happy for them.

  1112. Don't have emulation.

  1113. Don't have strife.

1114. Don't have envy in your heart for them.

  1115. Rejoice in that matter.

1116. But you know what, if there's people

1117. who are constantly bragging to you about that,

1118. they're constantly saying stuff like that

1119. and you might have this indication like,

1120. I think this person is just kind of like doing this

1121. to kind of put me down.

1122. You know what I mean?

1123. Then it's time to just fellowship with someone else.

1124. It's time to find a new friend, okay?

1125. And look, you know, in our church,

1126. you don't have to be best friends with everyone, okay?

1127. You know, we have to be diplomatic.

1128. We have to be friendly.

1129. But we don't have to be best friends with everyone.

1130. We don't have to hang out with everyone.

1131. We just have to be good Christians with one another, right?

1132. You know, there's people in our church

1133. who I'm very friendly with

1134. and we get along great,

1135. but we're not best friends or anything

  1136. and it's not bad.

  1137. It's just normal.

  1138. It's not bad, right?

1139. Jerry and I, you know, he's my church member.

  1140. I enjoy his company,

1141. but him and I aren't necessarily best friends, right?

  1142. I don't think we are.

1143. If you think we are, sorry man.

1144. You know, we're not best friends, okay?

  1145. Now I'm just kidding.

  1146. We're good friends

1147. and I'm like that with a lot of church friends.

1148. There's nothing wrong with that.

1149. Don't think, oh, just because they're in our church,

1150. we have to be the closest of friends or something.

1151. No, because there's other people

1152. that just click with other people

1153. more than others do with others.

1154. So we just got to realize that, you know,

1155. you need to choose your friends wisely.

  1156. When I say friends,

1157. I mean it as in those you can fight in,

1158. those that provoke you unto love

  1159. and to good works,

1160. those who like don't want your downfall.

  1161. And you know what?

1162. If this person has a track record

1163. of just constantly putting you down,

  1164. constantly mocking your success,

  1165. constantly just, you know,

  1166. bragging about their success

1167. in order to make you look like a complete loser,

1168. then it's time to go fellowship with someone else.

1169. What do I tell them?

  1170. Don't tell them anything.

  1171. Just ghost that fool.

1172. Just when you see them,

1173. go talk to someone else.

1174. Just go talk to someone else

1175. and be like, hey, it's good to see you, hey.

1176. And just like, you know,

1177. find someone that you're, you know,

1178. just call someone out or something.

1179. That's what you need to do.

  1180. Okay?

  1181. And so you're like,

1182. how do I know if I have a toxic friend?

1183. What kind of advice do they give you?

1184. The advice they give you,

1185. has it actually helped you?

1186. Has it made you a better Christian?

1187. Has it helped you in your endeavors

1188. to become successful at your job

  1189. and your spiritual life?

1190. If you feel like every single piece of advice you get,

1191. you just go down the drain,

  1192. down the toilet,

1193. you know, first of all,

1194. it's time to just find someone

1195. new to get advice from.

  1196. Okay?

1197. Walk not in the counsel of the ungodly,

  1198. the Bible says.

1199. The Bible tells us in Proverbs 12

1200. you don't have to turn there.

1201. Go with me if you would.

  1202. Go to Judges 16.

  1203. Judges chapter 16.

    Judges 16 chapter mention

  1204. Proverbs 12 verse 5 says this,

    Proverbs 12:5

1205. the thoughts of the righteous are right,

1206. but the counsels of the wicked are deceit.

  1207. Proverbs 14 verse 7 says,

    Proverbs 14:7

1208. go from the presence of a foolish man

1209. when thou perceiveest not in him

  1210. the lips of knowledge.

1211. And look, if you keep going back to that friend

1212. after that friend has been a piece of crap,

  1213. that's your fault.

1214. You got no one else to blame but yourself.

  1215. Okay?

1216. You just like having toxic people around you.

  1217. And so, you know,

1218. the Bible says also in Proverbs 19 verse 27,

    Proverbs 19:27

1219. cease my son to hear the instructions

1220. that causeth to err from the words of knowledge.

1221. Confidence in an unfaithful man,

  1222. Proverbs 25 verse 19,

    Proverbs 25:19

1223. in a time of troubles like a broken tooth

1224. and a foot out of joint.

1225. You see, a good friend, the Bible says,

  1226. loveth at all times.

1227. If you're down in the dumps,

1228. you know what a good friend does,

1229. tries to pick you up.

1230. You know, if you're on the brink of quitting,

1231. a good friend will tell you to keep going forward.

1232. Not aid you in getting out of church.

  1233. Right?

  1234. It's not someone who's just like,

  1235. yeah, just give up.

  1236. It's over with.

1237. I saw it real like that is super funny,

1238. but you know, give up.

1239. Someone's got to stay behind and tell a story.

1240. Not everyone's going to make it.

1241. You know what I mean?

1242. Go back, gather your thoughts.

1243. Go back to the drawing board.

1244. But you know, a good friend is someone

1245. who is born for adversity.

1246. A good friend recognizes that his friend

1247. is struggling and tries to come up

1248. with every single possible solution

1249. to keep that guy in the fight.

1250. Keep that guy in church, right?

  1251. That's what a good friend does.

  1252. A good friend doesn't brag about

1253. how good of a friend he is.

1254. He just actually gives his friend

1255. good advice to keep him in the fight.

1256. You know, he loved it at all times.

  1257. Proverbs 18 verse 24 says,

    Proverbs 18:24

1258. A man to have friends must show himself friendly,

1259. and there is a friend to stick it closer

1260. than a brother, the Bible says.

  1261. Okay?

  1262. Proverbs 27 verse 9 says,

    Proverbs 27:9

1263. Oitman in perfume rejoiced the heart,

1264. so doth the sweetness of a man's friend

  1265. by hearty counsel.

1266. You got a sweet friend?

1267. He should give sweet counsel.

1268. You know, if you're discouraged,

1269. you want to throw on the towel,

1270. and you tell your friend,

1271. and he's just like, yeah,

1272. you should quit, for sure.

1273. Go to a different church, yeah.

1274. That's probably what you should do.

  1275. That's not sweet counsel.

  1276. That's bad advice.

1277. And let me just say this,

1278. if there's anyone who's struggling in our church

  1279. to stay in church,

1280. you better never give that advice.

1281. Or you're going to quit anyway,

1282. so you might as well just get going or something.

  1283. That's wicked.

  1284. That's godless.

  1285. You're a horrible, horrible friend.

  1286. You're a toxic friend if that's you.

1287. I just didn't think they were going to make it.

  1288. You know what?

1289. You're not going to make it then,

  1290. because you're such a toxic friend.

  1291. You're such a toxic friend

1292. that you have no faith in people.

1293. You're not willing to provoke them to love

  1294. and to good works,

1295. and you're just discouraging them

1296. from continuing in the faith.

  1297. That's godless.

1298. I want people to remain in church

1299. and just fight through tribulation,

  1300. fight through anguish,

  1301. fight through depression,

1302. and not throw in the towel.

  1303. Okay?

  1304. How about this?

1305. Greater love has no man than this

1306. that a man laid down his life for his friends.

1307. You know, a good friend

  1308. will do everything possible

1309. to keep his friend in the fight.

  1310. He will admonish him,

  1311. create solutions.

1312. He will try to pray for him.

1313. He will do everything possible

1314. to make that person not faint in his mind.

  1315. Okay?

  1316. Beware of toxic friends.

1317. Beware of toxic family members.

  1318. And lastly, number three,

  1319. beware of toxic females.

1320. You know, the Bible gives us more explicit warnings

  1321. against women for men

1322. than it does men for women.

  1323. That's true.

1324. Like, why do you say females?

1325. There's toxic males out there, too.

1326. We're not talking about them.

1327. And the Bible doesn't emphasize that a whole lot.

  1328. Okay?

1329. The Bible emphasizes a lot

1330. when it comes to toxic females, though.

  1331. A lot.

1332. I mean, the entire book of Proverbs.

1333. You want to debate that with me?

1334. See me after the debate?

1335. We can talk about it if you want.

1336. In fact, you know, let's look at this.

1337. You know, what do you mean by toxic females?

  1338. Destructive, godless women

1339. that can just destroy your life.

  1340. That's a real thing.

  1341. Okay?

  1342. And you know what?

1343. The Manisphere is one of the faggliest movements ever.

1344. But sometimes it's rooted in

1345. just their experience with toxic females.

1346. And unfortunately, they just paint women

  1347. with the broad brush

1348. and say, like, all women are bad.

1349. We know that's not true

1350. because those of us who are married

1351. we got ourselves a good woman, amen?

  1352. But, you know,

1353. they've had experiences with people like this

  1354. and it is true.

  1355. It's a real thing.

  1356. Okay?

1357. Now let's look at an example of a toxic woman.

1358. We're not even talking about Jezebel.

  1359. I mean, that's super toxic.

  1360. Alright?

1361. Never name your daughter Jezebel.

1362. Let's look at another one, okay?

1363. Never name your daughter Jezebel or Delilah.

  1364. Okay, just kidding.

  1365. Look at Judges 16, verse 4.

    Judges 16:4

1366. And it came to pass afterward

1367. that he loved a woman in the valley of Sorek

  1368. whose name was Delilah.

1369. The lords of the Philistines came up

1370. unto her and said unto her,

1371. entice him and see where in his great strength lieth

1372. and by what means we may prevail against him

1373. that we may bind him to afflict him

1374. and we will give thee every one of us

1375. eleven hundred pieces of silver.

1376. So, they hired Delilah, you know,

1377. and Samson, you know, he's an idiot.

  1378. He's just, you know, he's a fornicator.

  1379. He's backslidden and he's just like,

1380. he's head over heels over this woman.

1381. But this woman wants his downfall.

1382. This woman is just a toxic woman.

  1383. Delilah said to Samson,

1384. tell me I pray thee wherein thy great strength lieth

1385. wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee

1386. and Samson said unto her,

1387. if they bind me with seven green widths

  1388. that were never dried,

1389. then shall I be weak and be as other men,

  1390. another man.

1391. Then the lords of the Philistines brought up to her

1392. seven green widths which had not been dried

1393. and she bound him with them.

1394. Now, let me tell you how stupid Samson is.

1395. He tells her this and then she does it.

1396. And, you know, at that point you'd be like,

1397. why are you doing this?

1398. If I told you this is my weakness.

1399. But he's just like, he doesn't even see it.

1400. Love is blind, you know.

  1401. Verse 9 says,

1402. now there were men lying in wait

1403. abiding with her in the chamber

  1404. and she sentenced him.

1405. The Philistines be upon thee Samson

1406. and he break the widths as a thread of toe

1407. is broken when it touched the fire

1408. so his strength was not known.

  1409. Delilah sentenced Samson.

1410. Behold, thou has mocked me and told me lies.

1411. This is a manipulator right here

  1412. because she's mocking him

1413. in lying to him, right?

  1414. Now tell me,

1415. I pray thee, wherewith thou mightest be bound.

1416. Now, you know, Samson will be like,

  1417. no, I don't think I will.

1418. Because I told you and then you actually like did that.

1419. But he's just an idiot.

  1420. He is an idiot.

1421. Can I get a witness, right? Amen?

1422. It's like, bro, what are you doing?

  1423. Okay.

  1424. Verse 11, he said,

1425. if they bind me fast with new robes

  1426. that never were occupied,

1427. then shall I be weak and be as another man.

1428. Delilah therefore took new robes,

1429. bound him therewith and sentenced him.

1430. The Philistines be upon thee, Samson.

1431. And there were liars and weight abiding in the chamber

1432. and he break them from off his arms like a thread.

  1433. And Delilah sentenced Samson.

1434. Hitherto thou has mocked me and told me lies.

1435. Tell me wherewith thou mightest be bound.

1436. And he said unto her,

1437. if thou weaves the seven locks of my head with the web

1438. and she fastened it with the pen,

1439. so foreskip down to verse 15.

  1440. And she sentenced him.

1441. How can thou say I love thee

1442. when thine heart is not with me?

  1443. It's like, woman,

1444. you literally try to get me merked.

1445. You almost got me killed.

1446. I told you where my strength lied

1447. and you try to do that.

  1448. And you're saying that I don't love you,

  1449. but he's, you know,

1450. bro is just a weakling, okay?

1451. How can thou say I love thee

1452. when thine heart is not with me?

1453. Thou has mocked me these three times

1454. and has not told me where in that great strength lieeth.

1455. And it came to pass when she pressed him daily

1456. with her words and urged him

1457. so that his soul was vexed unto death,

1458. that he told her all his heart and said unto her,

1459. there hath not come a razor upon my head

1460. for I have been a Nazarene unto God

  1461. for my mother's womb.

1462. If I be shaven, then my strength will go for me

1463. and I shall be weak and be like any other man.

1464. So he's like, all right, leave me alone.

  1465. You're nagging me.

1466. Because she's just constantly telling him, constantly telling him,

1467. he's like fine, you know, if I shave off my head

1468. then my strength will go for him.

1469. It's like, what are you thinking?

1470. You know, he didn't have a friend.

1471. They can tell him like,

1472. hey bro, I think she's trying to kill you.

1473. Hey bro, I'm not envious at all, okay?

1474. I'm not trying to put you down or anything like that.

1475. But she's trying to kill you.

1476. Like I don't know how you don't see this right now, you know?

  1477. And he doesn't.

1478. But you know, a lot of young men are like this though.

  1479. Okay, even today.

1480. And when Delilah saw that he had told her all his heart, verse 18,

1481. she's sending calls for the Lord's of the Philistines,

1482. saying, come up this once, for he had showed me all his heart.

1483. Then the Lord's of the Philistines came up unto her,

1484. brought money in her hand,

1485. and she made him sleep upon her knees,

1486. and she called for a man,

1487. and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head,

1488. and she began to afflict him,

1489. and his strength went from him.

1490. And she said, the Philistines be upon these Samson,

1491. and he awoke out of his sleep,

1492. and said, I will go out as other times before,

  1493. and shake myself,

1494. and he wist not that the Lord was departed from him,

1495. and we know exactly how the story ends.

1496. His eyes are gouged out.

1497. He is grinding the mill like a beast,

1498. and of course he ends up committing suicide thereafter.

  1499. Okay?

1500. What does this show us?

1501. Young men, beware of toxic females.

  1502. Okay?

1503. This is important, because again,

1504. this is a real thing, you know?

1505. And in fact, it's so real

1506. that there's a movie that came out recently.

  1507. It's a movie called Obsession.

  1508. Okay?

1509. Now, let me just say this.

1510. I don't recommend anybody to watch that stupid godless movie.

1511. And if you've already watched it,

1512. it obviously doesn't apply to you now.

  1513. You know?

1514. But after this, you shouldn't watch it again.

  1515. All right?

1516. It is a stupid godless movie,

1517. and, you know, let me just give you a synopsis

1518. of what the movie's about.

1519. Spoiler alert on this, okay?

1520. And most of you are like,

1521. I already know what it is about.

  1522. I saw it already.

1523. Now, I've never seen the movie.

1524. I feel like I have only because there's so many reels

1525. on Instagram that show a lot of scenes,

1526. and I feel like I've seen enough

1527. that I know what the movie's about.

1528. But this is basically what it is, okay?

1529. The story follows a guy named Bear.

1530. What kind of name is that?

1531. Who is just madly in love

1532. with his longtime friend, Nikki, okay?

1533. So this guy, he's like the Amnon dude, okay?

1534. He's like sick over this girl, Nikki, okay?

1535. You old folks, just ignore me right now.

1536. You're just like, what kind of, you know,

1537. this is horror, by the way.

1538. It was like a horror movie.

1539. Horror movie for me back in the day

1540. was like Freddy Krueger, right?

1541. It was like Jason, Hellraiser, Freddy Krueger.

  1542. Now it's just like a relationship.

  1543. It's just like horror.

1544. It's like the scariest thing is to be involved

  1545. in a crazy relationship.

  1546. Man.

1547. So he's so desperate, okay?

1548. To have this girl love him,

1549. that he has to use this mysterious object

1550. called the One Wish Willow, okay?

1551. It's like a stick that he finds at some weird store.

1552. And basically, like, he breaks it

1553. and he wishes for this girl, Nikki,

1554. to just fall madly in love with him, okay?

  1555. And she does, okay?

1556. And, you know, at first, everything's working out,

1557. but then her affection becomes, like, extreme and dangerous.

1558. You know, like, she starts killing people and stuff

1559. and, like, just doing some of the most psychopathic things ever.

1560. And that's pretty much what the movie's about, okay?

1561. And, you know, you would think, like,

1562. once he realized, like, oh, dang, she's a psychopath.

1563. Like, this didn't work out.

1564. Like, let's break up or something.

1565. No, he continues with this, right?

1566. Because there's dudes in this world that are like that.

1567. And let me just tell you something,

  1568. obsession, though it's a fantasy, it's fiction,

1569. it's actually a documentary on toxic Latinas.

1570. It is a documentary on toxic Latinas.

1571. I'm convinced that the director dated a toxic Latina

1572. and was just like, this will make a great horror movie.

1573. He's like, we just have to add some sort of supernatural element

1574. to this because, you know, we've got to figure out

1575. how this girl would become this way.

1576. Oh, one wish willow, okay?

1577. So, like, I'm sure he had some sort of experience

1578. with the toxic Latina and was just like,

1579. we'll just make it a movie, okay?

  1580. It's a stupid movie.

1581. It's, you know, I don't recommend for anybody to watch it.

  1582. There's gore, it's, I'm sure it's rated R.

  1583. You know, it's godless.

1584. You should not watch it, okay?

1585. But let me say this, movies like that seek to normalize

  1586. that type of behavior.

1587. I'm talking about the behavior of Nikki, okay?

1588. And, you know, a lot of women are like, I'm Nikki.

1589. No, no, no, no, no, no, no.

1590. Nikki is a fictional character that was made that way

1591. with the willow, a one wish willow.

  1592. You're just naturally a toxic woman.

1593. You're toxic without the one wish willow.

1594. Bear, bear is the villain.

1595. Bear is a fictional character.

1596. No one in this world can make a one wish willow

1597. to make someone madly fall in love with them

1598. and do all that stuff.

  1599. Bear's not real.

1600. Obviously there's people in this world that are like Bear.

  1601. They're a bunch of limp-risted, effeminate,

1602. you know, mommy issue boys

1603. who want a woman like that.

1604. I don't know why you would want someone like that.

1605. But let me just say this, you know,

1606. if you're a woman that identifies with that psychopath,

  1607. you got issues.

1608. Because Nikki was made that way through one wish willow,

  1609. you weren't.

1610. Now look, if you're like, well, you know,

1611. I've been through some things in my life

1612. that has caused me to be this way,

1613. okay, you know, I'm sympathetic towards that,

  1614. but you're a Christian now.

1615. You're a Christian, you have the Bible,

1616. you have the Holy Spirit.

  1617. Stop acting like Nikki.

1618. And look, young men need to be discouraged

1619. from pursuing a woman like that.

1620. And if you're a dude and you like Nikki from that movie,

  1621. get right with God.

1622. Oh man, I just, I get you Bear.

  1623. I get it Bear.

  1624. I can see why.

  1625. What do you mean?

1626. The scenes that I've seen,

1627. it should like literally make any dude

1628. sick to their stomach that a woman

1629. would actually be that way.

1630. And look, there are women like that.

1631. The scenes that I've seen, I feel like I've seen this before.

1632. And let me say this,

1633. the parents shouldn't let their daughter

  1634. watch that movie

1635. for fear that they may think that behavior is appropriate.

1636. And don't let your boys see it for fear

1637. that they may want someone like that.

1638. Then you'll be like Esau

1639. where his parents are like,

1640. the women he marries are just a grief of mind, right?

1641. Because they got a Nikki in their life.

  1642. Pursue a godly woman

  1643. who is level-headed.

  1644. Not a toxic Latina,

  1645. a toxic Asian,

1646. mostly it's toxic Latinas though,

1647. that's just where they get it from.

1648. That's why they chose a Latina to play the role.

1649. We should endeavor to tell our boys,

1650. hey, this is not appropriate behavior at all

1651. for a woman to be this way.

  1652. This is godless behavior.

  1653. This is not right.

1654. And you should never pursue a woman like this.

1655. Pastor, you don't understand though.

1656. She was made that way.

  1657. It's a movie!

  1658. It's a fictional movie!

1659. She was made that way in the movie,

1660. but you know what, that's not reality.

1661. Reality is there are women who are like that

1662. without the one wish willow.

  1663. That's the reality, okay?

1664. Go to Ecclesiastes chapter 7.

    Ecclesiastes 7 chapter mention

  1665. Ecclesiastes chapter number 7.

  1666. And look folks, again,

1667. you know, if you are a toxic man,

  1668. a toxic male, a toxic female,

1669. you know, oh, you just grew up that way,

1670. you just had experiences in your personal life

1671. that has molded you into being that way.

1672. Okay, but you know what?

  1673. Now it's different though.

1674. Now you have a church,

  1675. you have right preaching,

1676. you have the Holy Spirit,

1677. you have the new man that transcends that nature.

1678. And you know, it's not cute to be like a psychopath.

1679. That's not cute at all.

1680. And look, the scenes that I've seen

1681. in that movie on Reels,

  1682. it just annoyed me.

1683. You know, it's just like,

1684. I feel like you don't love me the way I do.

1685. I'm like, if a woman ever said that,

1686. I'd be like, all right, we're done.

  1687. Done!

1688. So let me give you, you know,

1689. a personal testimony of a toxic Latina

1690. that I dated at one time.

1691. Now this is BC, okay?

  1692. Before Christ.

1693. I was about, like, 17 years old, okay?

1694. And you know, I remember,

1695. you know, I was hanging out with my buddies

1696. and he had a sister

1697. who had all these friends that were older than us.

1698. And you know, one of them I was just interested in

1699. and so I ended up talking to her

1700. and I got her number

1701. and then I took her out on a date.

1702. The first date was good, it was great, you know.

  1703. It was just normal.

1704. Second date, a little weird.

1705. She said some things that were just kind of weird, you know.

1706. I was just like, all right, whatever, you know.

1707. Just wanted to overlook it.

1708. She was a Latina, by the way.

1709. So one day, this is like week two, okay?

1710. And she was older than me.

1711. And it was cool because you know, she's older.

1712. She's a friend of my buddy's sister and all that.

1713. And so like one day,

1714. I don't know if I'm like coming back from school or work

1715. but I was coming back home

1716. and you know, I walked through the door

1717. and my mom is just furious.

  1718. And she's just like,

1719. who are you giving your number to?

1720. Because in those days we just had house numbers.

  1721. I didn't have a cell phone.

1722. And I'm like, what do you mean?

1723. She was like, someone's been calling this house

1724. some girl's been calling this house

  1725. over and over again.

1726. And in these days we had like caller ID

1727. and we had answering machines like with tape, okay?

1728. So you have to like, you know, press a button

1729. and you know, you get an answer.

1730. I know you guys, Jen's ears don't know what I'm talking about

1731. but this is the way it worked back in the dinosaur era, okay?

  1732. And he's just like, someone's calling.

1733. They're yelling on the answering machine

1734. and I'm like, oh, it's my friends.

  1735. I'm thinking it's like, it's my buddies

1736. who are playing a prank on me, right?

1737. They're just trying to get me in trouble with my mom or something.

  1738. I'm like, oh, it's probably so-and-so.

1739. Let me listen to it, you know?

1740. And it did not occur to me that it might have been this woman.

  1741. Okay?

1742. Because she said that she was yelling on there

  1743. and all this.

1744. So I was like, all right, so I look.

  1745. 15 missed calls.

  1746. I was like, 15?

1747. I was like, man, these guys are like going overboard on this.

  1748. 15, 10 of those 15 were messages.

1749. One of those messages was the craziest one.

1750. That's the one that sent my mom over the edge

1751. and got me in trouble.

1752. And she's like, listen to it.

  1753. And I'm like, and I'm listening.

1754. I'm like, man, what is, because I had a friend.

1755. I was just like, what is this guy doing?

1756. Did he really do this?

1757. He went kind of overboard on this.

1758. So, you know, a couple of the messages.

1759. It was a girl and she's just like, where are you?

1760. Just kind of, and I'm like, I feel like I know this voice.

1761. And then the last message is just like,

1762. she's just like, why don't you answer your blanket phone?

1763. And I remember thinking like, that's the girl.

1764. And it like, I felt like my stomach was like right here.

1765. And I was like, no, stink.

1766. I was like, this is that girl.

1767. And then immediately I thought to myself, oh, this is over.

1768. I must sever this person off immediately.

  1769. I was like, that's crazy.

  1770. This is week two.

  1771. Week two.

  1772. Okay.

1773. And again, she's like cussing on there.

1774. Like, why won't you answer your blanket phone?

1775. And you don't love me the way I do.

1776. I'm just kidding, you know.

  1777. Weird stuff.

1778. When I saw those clips, I'm having like flashbacks.

  1779. I'm like, ah!

1780. So then I went up to my mom.

1781. I was like, I'm sorry about that mom.

  1782. It'll never happen again.

1783. So I thought to myself, man, this chick is crazy.

1784. I'm like, I gotta figure out how to sever this relationship

1785. so that she doesn't stalk me anymore.

1786. And I'm like, if I personally break up with this girl,

1787. this is good advice for you.

1788. I was like, if I personally break up with this girl,

  1789. she's gonna keep calling.

  1790. I said, I got an idea.

1791. So what I did was, I went to my buddy's friend.

1792. I said, I'm gonna ghost your friend

1793. and I want nothing to do with her.

1794. And ghosting wasn't a term, but it was basically like,

1795. I'm not gonna tell her that I'm breaking up with her.

1796. You're gonna tell her, and you're gonna tell her

1797. all the reasons why, and you're gonna tell her

1798. that my mom even knows everything that she said.

1799. Therefore, she'll be so embarrassed that, you know,

1800. my mom knows, and her friend knows

1801. that she will never contact me.

  1802. And it worked.

1803. And she's like, no, you need to contact.

1804. I'm like, I want nothing to do with that girl.

1805. I was like, no offense to you.

  1806. I'm like, I'm not against you,

1807. but I'm just telling you right now,

  1808. that chick is crazy.

1809. And you know, I said it in different ways.

  1810. Okay?

  1811. Different verbiage.

  1812. I'm like, she's crazy.

1813. I want nothing to do with her.

1814. And you tell her that I want nothing to do with her.

1815. You tell her never to call my house ever again.

1816. And you know, and I said,

1817. if we ever hang out as a group,

1818. you better let me know if you're inviting that girl.

1819. Because if you do, I'm not going.

1820. I was like, that girl is crazy.

  1821. And she never did.

  1822. And you know what?

1823. You're like, how did you know to cut it off like that?

1824. Well, because I had a brother who only dated toxic Latinas.

1825. And I saw the absolute hell that he went through with them.

1826. So as a kid growing up in that environment,

1827. I remember thinking to myself like, I don't want that.

1828. You know, give me the quiet girl.

  1829. Right?

  1830. That's why I married Sarah.

  1831. She's just really quiet.

1832. And she's not toxic at all.

1833. In fact, I'm probably more toxic than she is.

1834. I'm probably more crazier than she is.

1835. But I remember thinking to myself like, man, I do not want that.

1836. But here's the weird thing is if you're a young man

1837. and you're like, man, that would be so good.

  1838. What's wrong with you?

  1839. What do you mean?

1840. You want someone to kill your cat

1841. and stare you in the middle of the night?

1842. I'd be like, you don't love me the way I do.

  1843. That's what they do.

1844. That's what the girl was doing in that movie.

  1845. Oh, you don't understand.

  1846. It's really scary.

  1847. She walks backwards.

1848. First of all, if that scares you, man, you're a wimp.

  1849. No offense to anybody.

1850. Walking backwards scares you now?

1851. She looks like a retard.

  1852. Beware of that stuff.

1853. Why are you making such a big deal about it?

1854. Because that's not appropriate normal behavior.

1855. And those aren't appropriate attributes

1856. that a Christian man should be seeking for in a woman.

1857. You say, what kind of woman is that?

  1858. A psychopath.

1859. That's completely contrary to the word of God.

  1860. And again, you're a parent.

1861. Don't be showing that to your...

1862. I'm not going to police your home.

1863. I'm just telling you right now,

1864. my kids would never watch something like that

1865. because I don't want my daughters to be psychopaths.

1866. I don't want them to think that it's okay to walk backwards.

1867. And to tell their husbands,

1868. you don't love me the way I do.

  1869. It's not mutual.

1870. And I don't want my sons to think that,

1871. yeah, that sounds pretty good.

1872. I want to be entrenched in a relationship like that.

1873. Where, you know, the woman loves me so much,

1874. she just kills everyone who's around me

1875. just to keep me to herself.

  1876. You're weird.

1877. And you know what, if that's you,

1878. and you like that stuff,

1879. and you like that kind of woman,

1880. you need to allow the spirit of God

1881. to transcend that stupid flesh of yours

1882. and renew your mind and become a righteous person

  1883. because that's not a righteous desire.

  1884. It's not.

1885. It's not a righteous desire at all.

1886. Plus, Bear looks like a fag anyways.

  1887. You know?

1888. He's super wimpy and he's just like,

1889. I love you, like bro,

1890. she killed your cat, bro.

1891. Or she's feeding you your cat.

1892. She's doing all kinds of psychopathic things.

1893. It's like, how do you not,

  1894. after all that behavior,

1895. just walk away from them and be like,

  1896. you know what?

  1897. I made a mistake.

1898. I'm going to put a restraining order on you

1899. so you never come near me ever again

1900. and just move yourself to a different state.

  1901. But he just maintains,

1902. he just stays in that relationship.

  1903. But you know what?

1904. That's a documentary on lame dudes too.

  1905. I've known guys

1906. who dated toxically at the end

1907. and they just stayed with them.

1908. They just put up with all the psychopathy.

  1909. Okay?

  1910. And you know what?

  1911. As a Christian,

1912. you should seek to be as far away

  1913. from that as possible.

1914. And some of you are like,

1915. I have no idea what you're talking about.

  1916. Like that scene.

1917. Is this like a real thing?

  1918. Yes, unfortunately it's real.

1919. You know, as a pastor, I have the uncomfortable job

1920. of talking about these like trends sometimes.

1921. Because, and I have to talk about them,

1922. because sometimes they can creep into church a little bit.

  1923. Where people in church

  1924. get into this stuff.

1925. You know, obviously the pastor doesn't know about it.

1926. He's not going to tell the pastor about it.

1927. Because then he's going to preach

1928. on toxicity on Sunday night.

1929. But it's important for you

1930. to stay away from toxic females.

1931. That behavior is not normal.

  1932. It's godless.

  1933. And you know what?

1934. You don't need a one wish willow to get that.

1935. You know, you just need to go out in the world

1936. and find someone like that.

1937. You know, you should find someone in the house of God

1938. who's level headed, who loves the Lord.

  1939. And you know what?

  1940. Women are naturally emotional,

1941. but may they never like

1942. feed you your cat though.

1943. Can we just have that standard, please?

1944. And you know what? It's normal to be

  1945. to be, you know,

  1946. to be needed, right?

  1947. Want to be needed.

1948. We all want to be needed.

1949. I want my wife to need me.

1950. And I'm sure my wife wants me to need her.

  1951. That's a normal thing.

1952. But you know, let's not

  1953. be so enthralled

1954. in that that we just become weirdos.

1955. Okay? Or it's just like,

1956. you know, oh, you didn't say that.

1957. It's just like every little thing just kind of

1958. just knocks you off kilter

1959. and you can't function properly.

  1960. You are a Christian.

  1961. You are a believer.

1962. You are a woman of God.

1963. You are a man of God.

1964. Behave like a, hey, you know,

1965. walk worthy of the vocation we're with you are called.

1966. And let me just say this.

1967. Have some shame about yourself too.

1968. Okay? Be ashamed of that.

1969. You know, when boys watch

1970. Superman, they walk away with saying

1971. like, I want to save the world.

  1972. Right?

  1973. They watch Batman.

1974. They're like, I want to fight crime.

  1975. Right?

1976. I watch Power Rangers when I was a guy.

1977. I want to beat up putties.

  1978. Right?

  1979. Right?

  1980. Now it's just like

1981. I want to grow up and be a psychopath woman

  1982. who walks backwards

1983. and scares the living daylights out of my boyfriend.

  1984. And you're like, oh, you're exaggerating.

  1985. I'm not exaggerating.

1986. You go on the comment sections of these videos

  1987. that are being played.

1988. There's tons of people who are for this behavior.

  1989. He's the villain.

  1990. He's the villain.

  1991. He's the villain.

1992. He's the one who did all this.

  1993. It's a fake movie.

  1994. You're just superimposing

1995. who you want to be into that movie.

  1996. You know, it's a documentary

1997. on toxic latinas and that's a fact.

  1998. Look at Ecclesiastes 7, verse 26.

    Ecclesiastes 7:26

  1999. You're like, oh,

2000. show me a verse from the Bible.

  2001. Okay? I find more

2002. bitter than death a woman.

  2003. Now, like right there,

  2004. Solomon's on it.

2005. 700 wives, you're going to find a toxic woman in there.

  2006. Right?

2007. You know, he got 700

  2008. and he's just like

2009. I find more bitter than death

  2010. a woman.

  2011. Okay?

2012. Who's hard is snares and nets

2013. and I want you to notice this

2014. and her hands as bands.

  2015. That's called obsession.

2016. Okay? And look, I want my daughters

  2017. to love their husbands.

2018. Yes, I want them to worship the ground

2019. that their husbands walk on

2020. and to treat them as the Lord of the House

2021. and I'm going to train them to be as such.

  2022. Okay?

2023. But there's a big difference between that

  2024. and Nikki.

  2025. Nikki.

  2026. You know?

  2027. Not walk backwards

2028. and do all kinds of

  2029. weird stuff. Okay?

2030. He says her hands are as bands

2031. and look what it says.

2032. Who's so pleased that God shall escape her?

  2033. But the sinner

2034. shall be taken by her.

2035. Okay? So it's saying like,

2036. you know, if you don't please God

2037. God's going to punish you with a woman like that.

2038. Now look folks, you know

  2039. if you're like a Christian, you're like,

2040. oh I feel like, yeah that's me then, you know?

2041. Well here's the good news. The good news is

2042. you're a Christian. The good news is

2043. you have the Bible. The good news is

2044. you have the Holy Spirit of God

2045. within you. The good news is

2046. you're under the sound of my voice right now

2047. meaning that there's hope. Amen?

2048. There's not hope for these people out there

2049. who think this is normal behavior

2050. and just kind of go with it.

2051. Behold, this how I found

2052. say at the preacher counting one by one

2053. to find out the account

2054. which yet my soul seeketh but I find

2055. not one man among a thousand

2056. have I found but a woman among all those

  2057. have I not found? There's a lot more

2058. that I can say about that but

  2059. here's the point

  2060. beware of toxic females

2061. and you know don't ever think

2062. that that should be the objective

2063. for you is to find a woman who's an absolute

  2064. psychopath.

2065. And look, that's why it's important young men

2066. and I'm preaching to the men who are

  2067. not married.

  2068. Very important.

2069. I'm preaching to you, I'm not preaching to people who are men

2070. I'm preaching to the young men who have not yet gotten married.

2071. That's why it's important for you to not just

  2072. jump into a relationship

  2073. hastily

2074. and not put in some thought into what's going on.

2075. You need to make sure

  2076. that you observe

2077. is this girl all about

  2078. the obsession movie?

2079. If her favorite movie is obsession

2080. just check it out like okay

  2081. it's nice knowing you

2082. I love that movie so much

  2083. why?

  2084. Why?

  2085. Why?

2086. There's nothing good about that movie

2087. Hey, I'm saying it right now

2088. there's nothing good about that movie

  2089. that movie is trash

  2090. Amen

  2091. Amen

  2092. I can't say amen because

2093. I got people in my family who love that movie

  2094. Amen

  2095. Amen

  2096. Stand up

  2097. Amen

  2098. That's a trashy movie

2099. and we need to make sure

2100. you said why are you so mad about this

2101. because I'm trying to shame it

2102. so that people don't identify with that psychopathy

  2103. and they don't think it's normal

  2104. they don't empathize towards a fictional

  2105. character

2106. and think that's normal behavior

2107. why don't you spend more time reading the bible

2108. spend more time living a godly life

  2109. being a godly woman

2110. and teaching your children don't be like that

  2111. it's important

2112. Bible says who's so fine at the wife

2113. find it's a good thing and obtain it in favor of the lord

2114. the mouth of a strange woman

2115. is at a deep pit

2116. he that is abhorred of the lord

2117. shall fall there in the bible

  2118. says

2119. house and riches are the inheritance of fathers

2120. and a prudent wife is from

  2121. the lord

  2122. now look folks again

2123. if you come from that background

2124. okay I get it but you know what

2125. let's not add more to that

2126. by watching movies like that

  2127. and identifying with it

2128. leave that in the past

2129. leave it in the past

  2130. I feel like I'm nicky

2131. put on the new man

2132. you're basically saying like I'm that old man

2133. that old man is me

2134. we'll put it away with the ungodly lust

  2135. that corruptible

  2136. part of your aspect

  2137. dye to self

2138. crucify that thing because it's not honoring to god at all

  2139. okay

2140. and so what's the sermon today

2141. the sermon is simply this

  2142. beware of toxicity

2143. and all of us have the potential to be a toxic person

2144. because we have the unregenerated

2145. aspect of our being dwelling within us

2146. we need to make sure that we transcend that

  2147. through bible reading

  2148. through godly preaching

  2149. you know hey men

  2150. don't be a wimp

  2151. take some leadership

2152. get your confidence from the lord

  2153. make sure that you

2154. grow in your appetite for righteous things

2155. hey ladies don't be nicky

  2156. don't identify

  2157. with nicky

  2158. okay and I'm sure

2159. the actress who played her is just sick and tired of that

  2160. character already

  2161. okay you know

  2162. don't and don't raise your daughters

2163. to think that's an honorable thing to do

2164. you know raise your daughters to be

  2165. like your wife

  2166. I hope my daughters

2167. grow up to be like my wife Sarah

  2168. that's what I want

2169. I want them to copy her

  2170. and behave like her

2171. think like her talk like her

2172. that's exactly how I want her to think

2173. you know why because my wife walks forward

2174. let's pray father we thank you so much for your word

2175. pray you bless us as we go on our way lord

2176. help us help our minds to be

2177. reformed and not to envy

  2178. sinners lord

2179. not to think as the

  2180. unrighteous lord help us

2181. not to think as the gentiles

2182. think in the vanity of their minds

2183. and I pray that lord you'd help us to

  2184. have our minds renewed

2185. that we would desire righteousness lord

2186. and separate ourselves from toxic

  2187. people who

  2188. are can

2189. and are hindering us spiritually lord

2190. I pray that lord you'd help us to

2191. have the discernment to do so

2192. to separate ourselves from toxic

  2193. family members from toxic

2194. friends who are giving us bad

2195. advice lord who may be

2196. praying on our downfall and also from

2197. toxic females and yes even

2198. males as well I pray that you'd

2199. help us to have an

2200. appropriate biblical standard and the people

2201. we choose in our personal lives

2202. we love you we thank you pray this things in Jesus name amen
