Amen. Okay, we're in 1 John chapter 2 tonight and the title of my sermon tonight is they went out from us
1 John 2 chapter mention
-
They went out from us verse 19 says they went out from us, but they were not of us
-
For if they had been of us, they would have no doubt have continued with us
-
But they went out that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us
-
And what I want to preach about this evening is the subject of apostasy here in 1 John chapter 2
1 John 2 chapter mention
-
Specifically verse 19 now this verse here has been misused in many different contexts by a variety of pastors and Christians
-
And they often interpret this to mean that if you as a Christian if you get out of church if you stop serving God if
-
You leave church if you stop serving God if you get involved in sin
-
That is an indication that you went out from us
-
Therefore it's also an indication that you're not really of us in other words
-
It means that you're not saved, but that is a false interpretation of this verse and unfortunately
-
You know it's misled a lot of people into thinking that you have to persevere in your works for Christ in order to maintain
-
Your salvation this believe this Calvinistic belief that you have to persevere in your works
-
You have to persevere in your service for God if you really want to demonstrate that you're saved
-
Okay, and they often use this verse in conjunction with Matthew 24 that says they then endured to the end the same
-
Shall be saved okay, and when it comes to Matthew 24
-
we obviously understand that the context of the chapter is referring to end times Bible prophecy and
-
specifically it's referring to
-
The fifth seal in that context the fifth seal where Christians are being put to death on mass and the Bible saying there
-
That if you're able to endure that persecution
-
Until the end you will be saved meaning your flesh will be delivered from the persecution of the Antichrist
-
Because that persecution according to the biblical timeline lasts for 75 days
-
Then comes the rapture if you make it to the rapture guess what your flesh is saved from that persecution
-
So Matthew 24 when it says they then endured to the end has nothing to do with salvation
-
It has to do with the deliverance of the body
-
But this is what people do they'll take scriptures completely out of context and they will apply them to other portions of scripture
-
Such as what we see here in first on chapter 2 verse 19 and they'll say well
-
You know if you really want to say that you're saved obviously we know that it's by faith
-
We know that it's by believing in Jesus
-
However, if you decide to get out of the congregation of God you start serving your sin
-
You start doing things that are not pleasing unto the Lord first on 2 19 applies to you
-
It's an indication that you're not really of us
-
But this is a false interpretation
-
That is heresy because quite frankly folks if you are saved if you're a believer in Christ
-
It doesn't matter if you continue in the service of God or not because the Bible says that we and first on
-
At first Peter chapter 1 that we listen to this are kept by the power of God unto salvation
1 Peter 1 chapter mention
-
What does that mean it means the one who's responsible for keeping us keeping our salvation is the Lord Jesus Christ
-
He's the only one who possesses the power to maintain our salvation for us
-
Not we ourselves and you know, it's an oxymoron to say oh, it's not of works
-
But you got to do works to make sure that you stay safe, you know
-
It's a retarded doctrine that has no substance in the Bible
-
You know, you don't have to persevere in your works to be saved to prove that you're safe to God
-
They're like oh, well, you know faith without works is dead being alone yet to others not to God though
-
You know God obviously sees that if we have placed our faith in Christ, you know, that's all that's needed
-
That is sufficient for our salvation
-
But definitely if you don't have works coupled with your faith, it's a faith that does not work
-
It does not produce any works that will benefit someone else. Okay, very important to understand that now in light of that
-
What is first John chapter 2 verse 19 referring to what is it talking about exactly?
-
Well, we have to understand what he means by they okay
-
And let me just teach you something real quick is that you know, a lot of times when people interpret the Bible false prophets
-
Specifically they will often isolate verses
-
And look if you isolate a verse you can pretty much teach anything you want
-
If you remove it from its context of the verses prior the verses after if you remove it from the context of the chapter
-
The context of the book the context of the Bible you can make that verse say anything you want
-
Which is why we have to what compare scripture with scripture compare spiritual things with spiritual
-
Why because out of the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established
-
And you know that principle applies to Bible study as well
-
Okay, we have a variety of scriptures that teach us explicitly what salvation is and this is not
-
This is not in an application to salvation or to Christians when it says here they
-
We know who this is referring to look at verse 18
-
Little children. It is the last time and as you have heard that
-
Antichrist shall come what is that talking about it's referring to the fact that in the end times
-
There's gonna be a man known as the Antichrist also referred to as the man of sin the son of perdition
-
The beast as we see in Revelation chapter 13 and he is going to come so even though the apostle John is writing this
Revelation 13 chapter mention
-
You know in the first century AD
-
He's foretelling of a time in the future where the Antichrist will come and Antichrist is someone who is coming in the place of Christ
-
He's obviously someone who's you know a contrarian to Christ
-
He's against Christ, but it's also referring to someone who is coming in his place
-
That is referring to the man of sin that we see in the book of Revelation. However, look what it goes on to say here as
-
You've heard that Antichrist shall come even now are there many Antichrist
-
So this is telling us that even though there's going to be a
-
Main character Antichrist in the end times
-
We don't have to wait for the end times to find out who that is because there's many Antichrist that even exists today
-
There's many Antichrist that exist in John's day. This is referring to people who are coming in the place of Christ
-
They're against the Lord Jesus Christ. He says here. Whereby we know that it is the last time verse 19
-
They went out from us. Who are the day the Antichrists?
-
Okay, those who are against Christ those who are coming in the place of Christ
-
It's referring to false prophets false teachers. This is what it's being addressed here. I just got louder for some reason
-
I don't know that my ears pop or they're like a speaker just turned on
-
So it says they went out from us, but they were not of us
-
So the implication here is that these Antichrists were not originally referred to as Antichrist
-
They weren't referred to as false prophets and in fact they masqueraded as believers. Okay. Now. Who's the author of this book?
-
John
-
So if we're to look at John's life, who do you think he's referring to there? Well, obviously automatically you should think to yourself
-
Oh, this is referring to Judas
-
Judas Iscariot is a perfect example of someone who was among the twelve
-
He was of the twelve
-
He was given the apostleship by Jesus Christ, but he wasn't really of them now
-
Was he as noted by the fact that he went out from among them?
-
He says they went out from us, but they were not of us for if they had been with us
-
They would have no doubt
-
continued with us now let's go to John chapter 6 before I give more of the interpretation of
John 6 chapter mention
-
Verse 19 here. Let's go to John chapter 6 if you would
John 6 chapter mention
-
John chapter 6
John 6 chapter mention
-
Now automatically we know that it's referring to Judas Iscariot, but did you know?
-
There were other Antichrists other than Judas Iscariot who came out from among them
-
Okay, because keep in mind it says Antichrist they went out from they went out from us for they were not of us
-
For if they had been of us, they would have no doubt continued with us. Yes
-
This applies to Judas Iscariot, but you know, there's a lot of people there are many quote-unquote
-
Disciples that apostatized even during Christ's time now look at verse number
-
59 it says these things said he in the synagogue as he taught in Capernaum
-
Many therefore of his disciples when they heard this said this is a hard saying who can hear it?
-
When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it. He said into him that this offend you now
-
it's important to know
-
That you know I've often used this verse in a tertiary secondary tertiary way or you know
-
We talk about hey is this offending you like are you are you mad that I said this are you offended at this?
-
Are you being weak about this but really an offense in the Bible is referring to what a stumbling block
-
So when you think of an offense in the Bible
-
yeah, we often associate that with
-
Hard preaching offending someone because it goes against the grain it goes against their ideology
-
But an offense in the most literal way that it's being used in the Bible is referring to like a stumbling block
-
So in other words, you know for example the Bible talks about Jesus Christ being the stone that rock of offense
-
Meaning that when people come across him they stumble at the stumbling stone
-
They're not willing to believe on him is what it's saying. Okay
-
So what Jesus is preaching here in John chapter 6 is he's talking about salvation and he's using the illustration of
John 6 chapter mention
-
drinking his blood and eating his physical flesh as
-
Illustration of salvation. This is not teaching the false doctrine of transubstantiation is put forth by the Catholics
-
Yeah, you know the Pharisees who were unsafe or the were also the ones who interpreted that passage just like that, too
-
That should tell you something. Okay, and it's interesting that the unsaved people in
-
John chapter 6 were the ones who interpreted just as the Catholics do and the ones that didn't interpret it that way were the actual
John 6 chapter mention
-
Disciples Peter James John they said to whom shall we go for thou hast the words of eternal life
-
And we believe in our shirt that thou art the Christ the son of the living God, you know
-
They didn't say oh, you know, we believed that we got to eat your flesh and drink your blood to be saved
-
They're referring to the eternal words that are coming out of his mouth because they actually understood what he was actually teaching
-
so he's using this illustration in order to convey salvation and
-
The disciples doesn't say specifically who but keep in mind during Jesus ministry. You know a lot of people following him
-
What is the disciples someone who follows Christ a?
-
Lot of the disciples they were like oh man, this is kind of hard, you know
-
You know, this is a hard saying
-
Who can hear it? They're like this is kind of tough
-
I don't know if we can accept this and what's so hard to accept about salvation
-
What's so hard to accept about the gift of eternal life? What he's explaining here and Jesus says
-
You know does this offend you? He they're murmuring at it verse 62
-
What and if he shall see the Son of Man ascend up where it was before so he's saying you know if this offends you wait
-
Do you see me ascend?
-
Okay, you're gonna stumble at that as well. What is Jesus saying if you're not willing to believe what?
-
I'm saying now. You're not even gonna believe even if I ascend up into heaven and you're able to actually be hold it with your eyes
-
All the way
-
This is an important point here because we got to realize that when it comes to place in our faith in Jesus Christ
-
We don't need any visible evidence
-
All right, we walk by faith not by sight. We accept these things by faith not by sight
-
That's why it's ridiculous to think. Oh Jews are gonna get saved in Revelation 19 when they see Jesus Christ coming in
-
It's not gonna happen
-
Okay, it's not gonna happen because they saw him come in the first century AD
-
They beheld them with their eyes and they still rejected him. Okay, so it's like if this offends you
-
What and if you shall see the Son of Man to send up where he was before?
-
It is the spirit the quicken it the flesh profit nothing the words that I speak into you
-
They are spirit and they are life now Jesus being very merciful here because in verse 63
-
He tells them hey by the way the flesh doesn't profit anything. It is the spirit the quicken it
-
In other words, it's like I'm talking to you about spiritual things here and obviously they're not catching
-
It's just going over their minds going over their heads now. Why is it going over there the disciples heads?
-
I'll tell you why because they're not saved
-
They may consider themselves to be disciples, but they're not really saved
-
Look what it says verse 64. How do you know that? But there are some of you that believe not
-
Okay
-
For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believe not and who should betray him
-
We often use this verse to prove that Judas is scary was not saved and it's definitely true
-
He wasn't saved. He didn't believe okay
-
You know he is also the son of perdition. He is a first-century example of an antichrist
-
Okay, but we see here that it's also applicable to some of the disciples now
-
I'm not referring to the 12 disciples. I'm not referring to the 12. I'm not referring to the three
-
But just keep in mind there were a variety of people who followed the Lord Jesus Christ
-
Why do they follow him? Well because he fed them
-
Well because he performed the miracles because they like what he was saying
-
But when it came to a message like this in John chapter 6 it just oh, we're not going to cross that line
John 6 chapter mention
-
This offends us. This is a hard saying who can hear it this and it's just a message on salvation
-
He's like oh, you're offended. You're stumbling at this particular same
-
This is demonstrating here that you don't believe okay
-
Because it's just a message on salvation
-
Verse 65 and he said therefore said I unto you that no man can come unto me
-
Except that were given unto him of my father from that time listen to this
-
Many of his disciples went back and walked no more with him
-
What does this mean? It means they departed from the faith. That's what it means
-
Okay, and I do believe that when it says many of his disciples went back and walked no more with him
-
It's referring to people who essentially apostatized they went out from us for they were not of us for if they had been of us
-
They would have no doubt continued with us continuing what in believing
-
That's what it means to continue means to
-
Continue to believe that Jesus is the Christ continue to believe that it's by
-
Say salvation is by grace through faith alone in Jesus Christ meaning that if someone claims to believe that
-
They profess to believe these things somewhere along down the road
-
They stumble at that message. It's a demonstration. They never believed to begin with
-
A lot of people have problems with this because they're like, oh, you know, no, it just means they lost their salvation
-
Well, here's the thing. There's absolutely no example in the bible of anybody losing their salvation
-
Does it exist?
-
There's no illustration of someone losing their salvation. There's no indication of anybody losing their salvation
-
There's just indication of people going apostate
-
And it literally says here verse 64
-
But there are some of you that believe not for jesus knew from the beginning
-
Who they were that believed not and who should betray him meaning that at the beginning of the ministry of jesus christ
-
When he collected the disciples he knew from the start these guys don't believe
-
These guys are not saved. They're kind of going along. They're just playing along. They're making this profession of faith
-
But they don't really believe in their hearts and look folks
-
It's important to make a profession of faith for sure
-
Which is why when we go out sowning we close the deal at the end of the gospel presentation
-
And aid them in calling upon the name of the lord
-
All right, because that's what the bible commands us to do
-
But keep in mind folks that if thou should confess with thy mouth the lord jesus and
-
Believe in thine heart that god would raise him from the dead. I'll show you safe
-
For what the hard man believe it's not the righteous but with the mouth confession is made into salvation
-
So yeah, you know if a person believes in their heart the natural byproduct of that is they they would ask for salvation
-
But you know what there's going to be people out there who ask for salvation, but they don't really believe it in their hearts
-
That's a legitimate thing
-
Where people claim to believe these things and look we have to do our part to make sure that we're very thorough in our gospel presentation
-
And that's why I think it's it's extremely important
-
That when we are preaching the gospel that we communicate that it's by faith in jesus christ exclusively
-
Meaning at the exclusion of everything else
-
Why well because you know you'll have catholics that you'll witness to and they'll agree with you on everything that you're saying
-
They'll agree that it's by faith in jesus christ
-
They'll agree. They're like, oh, yeah, I believe that. Yeah
-
Jesus it's by faith in jesus christ
-
You know by grace through faith in jesus christ, but then you're like, yeah
-
But it's at the exclusion of everything else including mary. Well, I don't agree with that
-
I'm telling you that happens all the time
-
They have no problem agreeing with you regarding those things until you tell them that it's like literally only by believing in jesus christ
-
And you can't add another belief to that another person to that another way of salvation that because you didn't you just can't be saved
-
okay
-
He says in verse 66 again from that time any of his disciples went back and walked no more with him
-
Then jesus then said jesus unto the 12th will ye also go away
-
Then simon peter answered him lord to whom shall we go thou has the words of eternal life
-
We believe in our sure that thou art the christ the son of the living god
-
Now I love this passage here because you know peter is is very
-
It's a very heartfelt confession, right?
-
to whom shall we go
-
That's the words of eternal life
-
It's just powerful. We believe in our shirt that thou art the christ the son of the living god is just like
-
Yeah, that's good
-
Verse 70 jesus answered him have not chosen you told me one of you's a devil just completely ignores him
-
He just looks at it. He's like didn't I choose you guys and one of you guys is a devil
-
And by the way verse 70 is a good verse for the calvinist amen
-
Because they're chosen yet one of them's a devil
-
Not interesting
-
He spoke of judice is scary the son of simon for he was that should betray him being one of the 12th
-
What is judice is scary it?
-
You know have to do with first john chapter 2 verse 19
-
What are the disciples that walked away have to do a first john 2 19?
-
I'll tell you what it has to do with they departed from the faith that were never really safe to begin with
-
Now let me tell you something go to go back to first john if you wouldn't
-
You and I aren't gonna have to come to grips with people doing this throughout our christian life
-
Okay, you're gonna hear about people
-
You know god forbid, but it may happen in our church one day
-
Or someone claims to be saved they are using all the christianese. They may even come to church for years
-
Okay, it is a thing and then somewhere along down the road
-
They stumble at the stumbling stone. They're not stumbling at some secondary tertiary doctrine
-
They're not gonna stumble at end times prophecy. It's not that they're stumbling at you know the jews
-
They're not stumbling at dispensationalism. They stumble out salvation
-
And you know what they depart from the faith and you know what that indicates to us this person was never safe to begin with
-
He says in first john chapter 2 verse 19 again
-
They went out from us, but they were not of us for if they had been with us been of excuse me
-
They would have no doubt have continued with us
-
But they went out that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us
-
And you know what you need to make sure that you're not a bleeding heart when this happens
-
Just a bleeding heart
-
Oh, but they were here though and I went soul-winning with them and all this then oh, but they said they read the bible
-
Yeah, but guess what they're apostates
-
You try to tell me that the 11 disciples weren't tripping out that judas was like an absolute devil
-
They spent three and a half years with him
-
They went soul-winning with him
-
They preached the gospel with him and you know, I do believe that he performed miracles as well
-
Not because he was saved but because god gave him the capability of doing so and they're probably like thinking like whoa
-
What in the world?
-
I mean folks judas the scary must have been someone who just you know was upright
-
Outwardly because no one suspected him
-
And you know, that's exactly how it's going to be
-
For us as a church. That's how it's going to be for other churches
-
You know, we need to make sure that we're not like well, they're just falling
-
You know, well, you don't fall into damnable heresy. Let me just tell you that first and foremost
-
It's not like man. I'm just struggling with just believing it's by works right now
-
It's just I'm going through this season. I think it's by works
-
You know, I I think I feel there's more evidence in the bible to demonstrate that salvation is by works
-
Now look folks if you agree with what we're talking about regarding salvation being by grace your faith
-
But you've never actually called upon the name of the lord to do so you better do that tonight
-
You better do it tonight. You're like, man, I can't remember when it was that I got saved
-
Well, and I don't really know if that ever happened then just pray right now
-
Just kind of shut me off right now and just pray thus within yourself unto the lord lord
-
I accept you as my personal savior. I believe on you for salvation
-
I know that it's not by works and I'm placing my faith in you exclusively better to do that
-
Then to become an apostate somewhere down the road because you're not really saved
-
Yeah
-
And folks, I'm telling you this happens a lot
-
Okay, apostasy abounds today
-
And obviously, you know when we look at for example the profile of a false prophet in 2nd Peter chapter 2
-
This profile can be broken up into four categories
-
If you study 2nd Peter chapter 2, we'll go there in just a bit
-
You have basically four categories of false prophets. You have the false prophet who wants to teach damnable heresy
-
Right, this is the person who isn't necessary. He's not a sexual pervert. He's not doing it for money
-
He's just in it to teach damnable heresy. He's in it to corrupt the scriptures
-
Right, there are false teachers among the people there are false prophets also among the people even as there should be false teachers among you
-
Who privately shall bring in damnable heresies?
-
Denying even the lord god that bought them you got that brother
-
Denying even the lord god that bought them
-
This is referring to someone who's teaching damnable heresy
-
Category number one damnable heresy category number two covetousness
-
Someone who
-
You know has the office of a pastor or a religious leader. Why because they want to make money
-
Is the joe holsteins of this world, right? These are the fake healers of this world
-
Category number three are those who hate magistrates. These are the usurpers
-
These are the people who want to have the preeminence among them
-
They like to have power over people and they will seek to destroy the reputation of the men of god in order to get it
-
The last category are the sexual perverts
-
And so false prophets these reprobates and apostates they fall into one of those four categories, okay
-
See why preach this because this week
-
You know, there's this guy out there. His name is kenny Baldwin
-
And you may not even know who that is, but he's a prominent pastor in the old IFB
-
Very prominent pastor. He was one at least
-
His dad was a very prominent pastor. Lou Baldwin was responsible for starting
-
tons of churches
-
Okay, he was he did a great work
-
But his son kenny Baldwin kind of rose up to the ranks
-
Became a pastor started a church was a major conference speaker
-
People loved him. They esteemed him. The guy's a freaking pedophile
-
Is arrested because he's sending new photos to a 15 year old boy
-
Disgusting and people were like, oh man, we're not for the grace of god. We'd be the what do you mean for what what?
-
Speak for yourself son
-
You know, oh man, well, david fell David committed adultery
-
David murdered and you know what these are sins common to man
-
I'm not justifying david sin, but find me a book chapter verse in the bible that talks about david committing pedophilia
-
It doesn't exist
-
Pedophilia is a disgusting
-
Abominable disgusting sin that merits the merits execution
-
Public execution at that and you know, it's associated with reprobation and being apostate
-
And you know, kenny Baldwin is not someone who just oh, he just stopped reading the bible
-
Bro, he never believed the bible
-
Bro's a homo
-
Yup. Yup. He's a homo. He denied the gospel long ago
-
Went apostate and was given over to a reprobate mind, which is why he was committing such filthy acts
-
Pray for him, you know pray for kenny Baldwin, you know just for what pray that he dies
-
But you know what this is this is the major problem with old ip churches
-
And again, you know, I'm a major advocate for old ip churches. You know this, okay
-
I'm probably the biggest advocate for old ip churches in our church
-
You know, I know a lot of you guys don't like old ip churches. Some of you don't you know, I actually do like them
-
But you know, they have a lot of blind spots
-
And one of them is this particular area
-
Where they just make excuses for people who are just absolute reprobates
-
And obviously some of it is just because of ignorance. They don't understand the reprobate doctrine
-
They were never taught but I don't know that I think sometimes the other percentage of people who struggle with this is because they're reprobates themselves or something
-
You just kind of wonder
-
Yeah, people on facebook, you know, and what drives me absolutely insane and just just bananas is when
-
You know something like this happens you find out about some pervert pastor
-
Doing some godless thing with kids some just reprobate and then these pastors hop on they're trying to be all hyper spiritual
-
And like, you know what another soldier has fallen
-
Bro's not a soldier
-
He didn't fall he's exposed
-
It's not falling. It's called getting exposed for being the absolute reprobate that he is
-
And look folks, let me just repeat it again pedophiles deserve the death penalty
-
They should be publicly shot in the head
-
That's what the government should institute upon these monsters
-
Because they destroy kids lives
-
A millstone should be tied about their neck and they should be drowned in the depths of the sea as the bible says
-
Okay, and any pastor, well, I just don't see god in that Jesus said that
-
He's the one who said that
-
Don't give me the spiritual hyper spiritual talk of another soldier has fallen
-
No, that's not the case. This dude went apostate long ago
-
Just like jack scopp just like these other perverts out there
-
And here's another thing is that
-
You know, you have these people like the like the preacher boys podcast
-
Right who's probably an apostate himself
-
And you you have these guys are like, you know, this happens a law in the high beach
-
This happens in every church. What are you talking about?
-
Not just ios churches. You ever heard of something called the roman catholic church?
-
You ever heard of monumentism
-
Apostasy happens everywhere
-
And you know what ifp churches are not immune to apostasy
-
Why because we can do everything we possibly can on our part to preach the word of god and preach the gospel
-
But people have to accept it in the pews
-
They have to accept the truth of the gospel in the pews
-
You know and you have this other argument from the other side is just like
-
Well, you know, I just see that people who go down this road of getting all liberal are just more likely
-
To be committing these horrible crimes and abominations
-
And you know, I get what they're saying about that because you know, these these non-denom churches are super liberal
-
And and you know, limp-wristed and it's very it's a very loose environment
-
But you know that that's not the biblical description of that though
-
The reason people do these things is because they reject the gospel
-
And this is the answer they'll say well these people profess to be christian. Yeah professed
-
You know, I don't I don't know if you know about this one sin called lying
-
There's a sin in the bible called lying
-
You know people do that
-
And you expect to tell you expect me to believe that some pedophile would not lie to your face
-
That's what they do. They're full of deceit. That's what the bible says
-
You know, oh man, we just got to pray for him and he just felt no they went out from us
-
Kenny bald one was not of us
-
He masqueraded. He has a wolf in sheep's clothing. He's a homo. He's a pedophile
-
He's the disgusting monstrous animal that needs to be put down
-
And you know what? I don't care if you think they get this gives ifp churches a bad name or not
-
Our church believes the pedophile should be put to death
-
But they're reprobate. They're apostate and you know again if it happens in our church
-
If ever an apostate comes out of our church and commits some wicked act like that
-
You better know for sure we will publicly condemn that person
-
Obviously there's nothing we could do on our part to like harm this individual maybe
-
But they will be we will turn them into the low
-
We're not gonna
-
You know hide it under a rug or something just sweep everything under a rug and just not talk about it
-
If this person is responsible for harming children committing crimes, they're gonna be turned over to the authorities
-
And that's you know, that's another problem that these ifp churches have
-
Is that they do sweep stuff under the rug
-
And move people around
-
You know, oh this guy commits pedophilia just move them to another church
-
Let them be a youth pastor somewhere else give them another chance, but folks pedophiles can't be reformed
-
It doesn't exist
-
Now it's important to note that when we talk about the reprobate and the apostate because look folks
-
You have to understand these things
-
When it comes to both they're two sides of the same exact coin
-
We're talking about two people
-
Who are beyond the hope of salvation they can no longer be saved
-
They're referred to as the reprobating Romans one in order to describe them for their perversion
-
Their sexual perversion perversion their degeneracy. That's what reprobate is about right the apostate is also the reprobate
-
But he's more closely linked to
-
Scriptural corruption, but they're both the same thing
-
And they both overlap one another
-
Okay, you know because you could have a reprobate out in public
-
Who's some sodomite?
-
Right. He's not a christian. He never identified as a christian. He might have been given the gospel
-
He might have known about the things of god and in light of that he rejected him became some pervert
-
But then you have people who grow up in church
-
People who hear the preaching of god's word
-
People who hear the gospel over and over and over again
-
They hear bible preaching over and over again, and they reject it. You know what happens apostate
-
Reprobate
-
That is a major danger my friends and folks. This is why it's important important, you know parents
-
We need to make sure we check on kids salvations
-
our kids salvations
-
you know
-
I have three kids that have made a profession of faith. They they they got saved
-
But you know what throughout their lives. I'm just gonna randomly check in
-
Not just assume
-
Why because you just never know
-
And you know what I teach a lot of saturated doctrine in this church
-
I teach a lot of bible we go through a lot of verses. I'm constantly quoting scripture
-
You know, I'm constantly saturating the services with the word of god
-
And I don't want anybody to become hardened towards the word of god because they're they never believed to begin with
-
It's a legitimate danger
-
Right
-
Not just for kids for everyone
-
But you know we need to make sure we check on our kids salvation and not just assume
-
And you know what you shouldn't assume that your friend you're brought to church is just saved like well
-
Don't witness them because he's already saved. No, let us check on their salvation
-
Let us check on them. They're saved and we'll just have a good conversation about salvation
-
right
-
Don't and look and if you talk to them and they're not saved don't take it as a as a insult to you
-
Just take it as like oh, I thought he was safe
-
You know, there's people that I thought I got saved and they weren't saved and they got saved later on
-
I'm not embarrassed about that because you know what there's not a competition of how many people we can just get saved
-
We know the goal is to just get people saved
-
So I have no issue with checking on my kids salvation
-
I check on their salvation. Okay, and I'm going to continue to do so throughout their lives
-
You know because it's great to be in a church where the bible is being preached and thundered forth and be able to just
-
Preach the word of god unfiltered, but as I mentioned whatever was sunday or last Thursday or whatever
-
You know the word of god can harden the heart as well though
-
Okay
-
You know, I remember years ago
-
And we often you know, I've preached against christian schools because christian schools essentially
-
You know, they do streamline the reprobation process. Let me just be real honest with you
-
You say why well because they're forced to go to the christian school students
-
And in the christian school, what are they getting just constant bible?
-
But they don't want to be there. There's students that don't want to be there
-
Kids just don't want to be there, but they're being forced their chapel services
-
And and and bible classes and they're constantly given the word of god and you know what it turns out reprobates
-
I've seen this personally when I used to work in a christian school. I saw this with students
-
You know, you have these guys that would come in. They were super on fire for god
-
They're a major fundamentalist. They preach the word of god now. They're a flaming faggot
-
They're married to some other dude
-
A dude married to a dude just denying the things of christ
-
Say how oh man, how did such a thing happen? I'll tell you how they rejected the gospel long ago
-
They went out from
-
I've gotten to a point where
-
I'm thinking of myself like I appreciate the men who have done
-
You know great things in my life in the old IFB, but you know what?
-
I gotta prepare myself in case I find out one of these guys ends up being a bad person
-
I'm not gonna assume that will happen. I just gotta prepare myself in case it does
-
Because I don't want to be a respecter of people
-
And just be completely devastated or something if I found something out like that
-
You say well then what would you do because you said that person was so influential in your life
-
I'll just say the word of god was influential in my life
-
That's just what I'll say
-
I'll say the word of god that this person was preaching influenced my life and that was it
-
And look, you know, you think of a guy like jack scott anybody who knows who jack scott is
-
Okay, he was the pastor of first baptist church of ham and the largest fundamental baptist church in america
-
I don't think in the world but in america for sure
-
It's the it's the church that jack house pastor. Okay, his son-in-law took over that which is jack scott
-
This guy's a reprobate. Okay posse reprobate false prophet for a variety of reasons
-
Okay
-
It's a major pervert
-
Sexual pervert. He's also, you know perverting the scriptures and so forth
-
But you know prior to all this I liked this preaching
-
I did
-
And I have pastor friends that also enjoyed his preaching because he was just a dynamic preacher
-
But you know just because I like that guy's preaching doesn't
-
You know that doesn't mean that when he was exposed
-
I'm just like well
-
I just think he fell because he was just so influential in my life or something. I was like this guy can pertinent hell for all I care
-
Whatever I got from him, you know, the wealth of the sinners laid up for the just amen
-
Whatever he taught from the bible that I glean wisdom from I'm just going to give credit to whoever he stole it from
-
And I'm not going to be like well, you know, he was influential
-
I do appreciate him for everything that he's a reprobate
-
And you know, there's a major issue with people like well, you know
-
He's such a great man jack scott did a lot of great things. Yeah, but folks you can't be a respecter of people
-
You can't be a respected people
-
If the guy is an absolute pervert
-
If he's an apostate if he's denying the word of god, which is exactly what jack scott did
-
Literally holding a conference called the king james summit in order to discredit the king james bible
-
We're talking about a fundamental baptist here
-
You know, he's talking about how you know when god hung jesus on the cross, you know, he hates you
-
He hates you just just teaching blasphemous things about jesus christ. You know at that point you say well, this guy's an apostate
-
And not make excuses. Well, you know, we're not for the grace of god bro. Check that guy's history
-
Whoever says that let's get that guy's computer and check his history real quick
-
You know, oh man, you know, everyone falls into sin. Let me see your phone, bro
-
Let me see your let let's do a search history on your phone real quick
-
Because you're making me very suspicious of you when you start defending pedophiles and apostates
-
You do well to just be like this guy's gonna get what he deserves pray for the victims and just keep your mouth shut
-
Or how about just keep your mouth shut period
-
And just say pray for the victims
-
Why do you feel like it's important for you to just back up an absolute apostate?
-
Rather than actually speak up for the victims
-
It's weird
-
But let me tell you why because out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speak it that's why
-
And an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringing forth evil things
-
And he can't help but defend wicked people because he's probably wicked himself
-
That's how it works
-
They went out from us for they were not of us for if they had been of us
-
They would have no doubt continued with us go to first timothy chapter four first timothy chapter four
-
We'll come back to first john
-
First timothy chapter four
-
So the idea when the bible says here that they went out from us they would have no doubt continued with us
-
It's implying that there is a departure
-
From the truth right look at first timothy chapter one
-
I'm sorry first timothy chapter four verse number one says now the spirits speak at the expressly that in the latter times
-
Some shall depart from the faith
-
Giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils speaking lies and hypocrisy
-
I want you to notice this having their conscience seared with a hot iron
-
So when it says that they departed from the faith, this is referred to apostasy
-
And I don't believe this is referring to christians, okay
-
I think it's just saying that in the latter times
-
People are going to depart from they're going to apostatize because they're allowing themselves themselves to be influenced by seducing spirits
-
Doctrines of devils and I want you to notice it says that they have their conscience seared with the hot iron
-
Okay, when you see or something you lose all sensation in it
-
Right
-
You see or something is like the the nerves are gone the sensation is gone
-
This is what Ephesians chapter four renders as what being past feeling
-
Me you could no longer feel
-
And this is the equivalent to what we see in roman chapter one that they're given over to a reprobate mind
-
To do those things which are not convenient. Why can the reprobate?
-
Why is the reprobate capable of committing them to some of the most heinous of crimes sins and abominations according to the bible?
-
Because they have a seared conscience
-
Doesn't bother them anymore. That's why they could commit pedophilia
-
Beastiality sodomy just disgusting acts because it doesn't bother them
-
Their conscience is seared with the hot iron
-
This is the punishment that they receive
-
Because of their rejection of the truth go back to first jawn if you would
-
first jawn chapter two
-
So they would have no doubt continued with us. What does it mean to continue in the faith?
-
It means that you basically believe the right salvation
-
The right beliefs about salvation about jesus christ to the very end
-
It doesn't mean you have to make okay. I gotta keep believing this. I gotta keep believing
-
I gotta make sure I believe it. Oh, I forgot, you know, it's just
-
It's referring to the fact that if you have these beliefs
-
And in the very end of life you deny those beliefs
-
It means that you didn't really believe them to begin with it was a vain belief as it says in first Corinthians chapter 15
1 Corinthians 15 chapter mention
-
Okay, I just think he's off doctrine. You know, a lot of people are off doctrine. It's true
-
Because people are just off doctrine sometimes, you know, it's believe weird stuff
-
Believe, you know dispensationalism
-
Flat earth
-
Zionism so all kinds of weirds beliefs out there, right? Yeah, amen
-
But when it says depart from the faith it's referring to like beliefs about the resurrection
-
So when you have the Corinthian church denying the resurrection, that's a made that's that's a major major problem there
-
Because part of the gospel
-
So he's like you believe them vain you're and he specifically says in second Corinthians chapter 13
2 Corinthians 13 chapter mention
-
Examine yourselves if you be in the faith
-
Know you're not your own selves that crisis in you except you be reprobates
-
So he's saying like you better make sure you examine yourself meaning like you better make sure you're actually saved
-
Not by your works
-
Not by your behavior, but by your beliefs
-
Do you actually believe this?
-
And look folks sometimes people worry they're like man, I wonder if i'm a reprobate
-
Are they worried like man am I in this situation? What do you believe?
-
If you believe the right thing you got nothing to worry about
-
You're good
-
And let me also say this, you know if you're worried that you're a reprobate then that's one of the indications that you're not
-
Because reprobates don't care
-
They don't care
-
You know, they're they're they're just like they're good being a reprobate. They're good being a little faggot
-
They're cool with that
-
Don't bother them, right
-
Don't really bother them. They're like that
-
But if you're struggling is just like well, that's probably an indication that you're not because you're you're just you're just
-
You know, you're you're you're basically carnal or you know, you're struggling with something
-
But it doesn't mean that you're a reprobate, okay
-
It says that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us
-
So the bible's telling us here that like god is doing us a favor when he exposes these people
-
Right
-
So when Kenny Baldwin came out as a pedophile, I was just like thank god that he's exposed
-
You say why well number one he can't keep harming children, right? And look, you know this
-
Disgusting pervert would go and preach at churches and just collect numbers of teenagers
-
You know and there's like these testimonies of people like this pastor said like man
-
One of my church members was at this conference and he said that Kenny Baldwin gave him his number
-
And he's like if you ever need anything just let me just just call me and the the teenager felt like really uncomfortable. I was just like
-
That's kind of weird. You know like why would you do that?
-
It is weird
-
And thank god nothing happened, but you know what whatever 15 year old boy is the victim I I guarantee you he's not the only one
-
That they might be made manifest this is what the bible means in 2 Timothy chapter 3 that these shall proceed no further
2 Timothy 3 chapter mention
-
So god just exposes them and you know what it's just like how much more exposure do you need in order to understand that this person's wicked
-
You're so you know consumed with preserving the reputation of IFP churches and churches this and that
-
And just being such a godly self-righteous person you forget that you're not loyal to the bible
-
By defending these pedophiles and perverts
-
He says they went out from us, you know Judas went out so everyone can know that he's an absolute betrayer
-
He's a traitor. He's an apostate. He is the son of perdition. God wants you to know that
-
You know god has a problem with the people are like they go out and just like pray for them
-
Look at them over there hanging
-
Look at him just hanging look at his bowels just gushed out poor guy
-
Man he just
-
He's the treasurer
-
God doesn't like that
-
In i in whose eyes a vile person is condemned. That's what the bible says
-
The person who dwells on the holy hill is the one who actually hates that person
-
Because they're a traitor to the christian faith
-
Okay, and again not every time a person is made manifest. Is it through
-
Perversion pedophilia
-
Here's a good way to determine if someone went apostate if they go to a church like this and then become a catholic
-
That's an apostate
-
If they become an orthodox
-
apostate
-
If they become a Mormon
-
apostate
-
Okay, if they become a part of if they become a muslim
-
Apostate
-
If you leave the christian faith the beliefs not our church
-
Not you know this congregation if you are a christian and you abandon you depart from
-
The fundamentals of the christian faith of salvation the bible the trinity the resurrection the principles of the doctrines of christ
-
Your apostate according to the bible
-
I
-
Look what it goes on to say in chapter 2. This is how we know this is this is the context
-
Verse 22 says who is a liar but he that denyeth
-
That jesus is the christ he is antichrist that denyeth the father and the son who served to deny the son
-
The same as not the father but he that acknowledges the son hath the father
-
Also, so this is all in the context, right? It's saying if you deny these things then you're not you don't have god
-
You deny the father and the son you deny the son and you claim to have the father you are apostate
-
Okay, and we're talking about people who claim to believe these things in times past and no longer believe them
-
We're not talking about the person you meet at the door who doesn't believe these things
-
They claim to be an atheist or something like that because they could still be safe
-
We're talking about someone who made the profession to believe in these things
-
Got themselves up to be in church at 10 30 in the morning on a sunday
-
acted like a christian
-
Went through all the the rig of morrow of being a fundamental baptist
-
Sung the hymns god of king james bible
-
Even went out and did some evangelism
-
That's a person who's claiming to believe these things and doesn't really believe them. That's an apostate right there
-
That's a person who's denying jesus christ and make no mistake about it
-
You know god is angry with that person. He's furious with that person
-
You know years ago. I think it was back in 2018 2019. I might have told the story here. I don't remember
-
um
-
But you know we had gone on a mission trip to aruba did I tell the story recently
-
We went on a mission trip to aruba with pastor anerson and faithful ward and various other churches joined
-
And it was great, you know, it's just meant a lot of new people and I got paired with the guy and his wife, okay
-
And you know, we spent a couple. I mean it was like a like a seven-day trip or something like that
-
And it was great. We got a lot of people saved. Well, this guy was newly married to this girl
-
And she you know, this is her first time going out first time on a missions trip
-
She was learning how to sew in then she started preaching the gospel there
-
And it was just one of those things like man, this is awesome. It's a great trip
-
and you know
-
Just good ratings overall just like one of those nice trips, right
-
A couple months go by
-
She goes apostate
-
She just says like I don't believe in any of this
-
Like I don't believe in cod. I don't believe in Jesus. I don't believe in the bible
-
I don't believe in any of it
-
And he I remember him calling like he's just like I'm like devastated like my wife's not saved
-
And she became extremely wicked ended up divorcing him and and doing all this stuff or whatever and just kind of just being an absolute atheist
-
Okay, and I remember him explaining. He's like I remember when we came back
-
You know, uh, she was a stayed-home wife
-
And she would just listen to you
-
Pastor Anderson and and Roger. I'll call him Roger right now
-
You know, he's he would listen to all three of you for hours every single day
-
Now if you do that
-
Kudos to you amen. You just got to get rid of the Jimenez one, all right
-
Because bro's a gooner
-
You know
-
That's good when you're listening to preaching right you're feeding the spirit
-
You are listening to bible content. You're increasing your knowledge
-
But if you're a person who's not saved though
-
Right and you're listening to hours on end of the truth and in your heart you're saying that's not true
-
That's not true. I don't accept that I reject that
-
And then you tell people oh, yeah, that was good
-
Oh, yeah, that was a good sermon
-
But here you don't believe it
-
You're pissing god off
-
Because you're making a mockery of the truth
-
You're making a mockery of the truth, you know, let me see if I can find this verse real quick
-
I would say talk amongst yourselves, but you shouldn't do that right now
-
and so, you know, she would listen to the uh
-
She listened to preaching on end and then after a while
-
It was like a it was like a switch. It just went off and then she just no longer believed it anymore. I don't know. Oh, here it is
-
Let's go to uh, ezekiel 33
-
I don't have any notes. So I'm just
-
You know trying to remember all these passages here
-
You know, if you're just listening to preaching and you're reading the bible and then you're also preaching the gospel
-
And you don't even believe the stuff that you're preaching
-
You're leading other people to believe these truths or to claim to believe these truths
-
And and you don't believe it yourself
-
That's insanity
-
That's evil
-
That's like super wicked
-
Because in your heart you don't really believe it. It's a ezekiel 33 ezekiel 33 folks, you know
-
It's like someone sitting in here right now
-
And you just completely hate my guts
-
Okay
-
And you just don't agree with what I'm saying. You don't you you just reject it in your heart
-
But then you come up to me and be like, hey, that was good. That was good
-
But you're just lying. You're just like lying in your heart. Do you actually believe these things?
-
You know, god will punish you with strong delusion and you will give you over to a reprobate mind
-
Look at ezekiel 33. It reminds me of ezekiel 33
-
And look down your bibles at verse number 31
-
It says here and they come unto thee as the people cometh
-
All right, let's go to 30 actually verse 30
-
Also, thou son of man the children of the people of thy people still are talking against thee by the walls
-
And in the doors of the houses
-
And speak one to another every one to his brother saying come I pray you and hear
-
What is the word that cometh forth from the Lord?
-
So they hate ezekiel but they're like, oh come talk about the bible
-
And they come unto thee as the people cometh and they sit before thee as my people and they hear thy words
-
But they do them not but they will not do them for with their mouth they show much love
-
But their heart goes after their covetousness
-
So they're being fakes. They're being phonies, right
-
And lo thou art unto them
-
as a very lovely song
-
Of one that hath a pleasant voice and can play well
-
On an instrument for they hear thy words, but they do them not. What is he saying?
-
You know, there's people out there that just like to listen to preaching just because it's entertaining to them
-
I mean hered
-
Hered jesus gladly, right or he heard john the baptist gladly
-
You know a lot of people just like to be entertained by these prophets
-
But they don't actually believe what's being sated and you know what that make that makes god bad
-
Yeah
-
Why because you are making a mockery of the truth
-
Because the the word of god has a lot of power
-
Right, and so it penetrates. It's like and it's not just the word of god. It's like the holy spirit using the word of god
-
And it's like tugging at your heart. It's saying this is true. You need to accept this
-
Stop messing around stop projecting this and then in your heart you're like
-
Who does he think he is this is so fake
-
I hate this, but then you keep coming back for more see
-
Be not deceived god is not mocked
-
For what's over a man so that shall we also reap and you know
-
God doesn't give us like a timeline of when this takes place, but there comes a point where god just like
-
All right, he's done cut him off
-
Cut him off
-
You know, he's he's made such a mockery of the truth
-
He's not willing to turn when the proof comes when i'm trying to reach him when i'm trying to reach her
-
They keep rejected in their hearts. They're making a mockery. Look. He's saying that he likes a sermon. That's a lie
-
He's singing to hymns, but it's a lie. You know what he does just makes him a reprobate
-
Makes him a reprobate
-
And you know what? Kenny Baldwin that happened a long time ago
-
Long time ago
-
He's a wolf in sheep's clothing
-
Seeking to take advantage of the innocent. That's a fact
-
Okay
-
You know may the word of god never be a very lovely song to you
-
As an unsafe person and if you like the song just accept the song amen
-
And look we we've literally had that in our church
-
We've had people come to our church. Listen to me who were here for years
-
Teenagers who were here for years
-
And they never got saved now. They're a complete reprobate
-
Like well, you know, what do you mean reprobate? I'm talking about they married
-
You know, they're a girl who married a girl
-
Sodomite
-
You say why did that happen? I'll tell you why because there's so much preaching being thundered forth here
-
It just hardened the heart of that person to the point where they said I don't want it and god gave them over to a reprobate mind
-
The word of god is powerful, but it's also dangerous to the person who makes a mockery of it as well
-
Go to heber's chapter three. Let's look at heber's chapter three
-
It's not that like oh it's just these churches that have these loose environments and you know ccm
-
Obviously ccm is super gay. Okay
-
You know the church is super gay
-
That's that's a fact you're right about that
-
Okay, and if you don't know what ccm is it's contemporary christian music
-
Okay, just in case you don't know what that is. It's the really gay music
-
It's what gay people produce when they claim to be christians
-
Ccm is what gay people do
-
The kind of music gay people make when they claim to be christians
-
Okay, so make sure you remember that the next time you listen to a song
-
A gay man wrote that it's a very lovely song
-
Um
-
So, you know, obviously the these types of churches
-
Are super gay and all that but at the end of the day at the end of the day folks
-
The apostate is made through the word of god
-
You have to like come to grips with that
-
It's the bible that makes people apostate
-
I'm not blaming the word of god. I'm blaming the person's
-
rejection of the word of god
-
That does that
-
Look at heber chapter three
-
And let's look at verse number six
-
It says but christ as a son over his own house whose house are we
-
If we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope
-
Firm unto the end this doesn't mean that we have to hold on to it
-
It means if you believe this hope hope is that faith until the end then yeah, christ is over you
-
You are a partaker of christ
-
He goes on to say in verse seven, wherefore as the holy ghost sayeth today if you will hear his voice
-
Harden not your hearts as in the provocation in the day of temptation in the wilderness
-
When your father's tempted me proved me and saw my works 40 years
-
Wherefore I was grieved with that generation
-
And they said they do always err in their heart and they have not known my
-
Waste skip down to verse 12 take heed brethren
-
Lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief
-
In departing from the living god
-
He's and he's talking to christians here, but he's like hey, you better make sure that you are an actual believer though
-
And you better give he to make sure there's not an evil heart of unbelief to the point where you end up departing from the faith
-
as an apostate
-
He says verse 13 but exhort one another daily
-
While it is called today
-
Lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin for we are made partakers of christ
-
If we hold the beginning of our confidence
-
Steadfast unto the end while it is said today today if you will hear his voice
-
Harden not your hearts as in the provocation. What is he saying? You know
-
You got to make sure that you actually believe the right doctrines. You believe the right salvation
-
Don't just play along
-
Hey teenagers don't just play along
-
There's there's no shame and you come into church for this amount of time
-
And you're like i'm just afraid that you know if i get saved right now
-
My parents are going to be disappointed. No, they're not going to be disappointed in you
-
They're going to be extremely happy that you got saved today if you're not
-
I will be extremely happy
-
If you got saved today people in our church will be extremely happy if you got saved today and no one's going to be like
-
What but i thought
-
Didn't you get saved long ago?
-
And i can't believe
-
And even if someone did do that, which would be really stupid
-
But even if someone did do that you should just be like yeah, but at least i'm saved now though
-
And he's saying here we need to exhort one another daily, you know part of the exhortations we need to talk about salvation
-
Talk about salvation. You know, I I got one child right now
-
Who's not saved?
-
But it's almost as if they're starting to become awakened to the truth
-
They start asking questions, you know
-
And they start saying like
-
I think I need to get saved
-
You know or am I going to get saved today?
-
They'll still say things like that and then you know we'll give them the gospel
-
We'll teach them but it's not it's still kind of going over their their heads
-
But you can see the light is starting to wipe because dad always talks about salvation
-
You know the church constantly talk about the gospel. This is exhorting one another daily
-
Okay
-
Look what it says in verse number 16 for some when they had heard
-
did provoke
-
How be it not all that came out of the egypt by moses, but with whom was he grieved 40 years?
-
Was it not with them that had sin whose carcasses fell in the wilderness?
-
And to whom swear he that they should not enter into his rest, but to them that what believe not
-
So we see that they could not enter in because of unbelief
-
Now what what example is he given here?
-
He's saying, you know the people in the wilderness before they went into the promise land
-
They died on the other side
-
And in fact, there are certain people they were like on the border of the promise land
-
But they never went in why because of their unbelief
-
And that is a picture it symbolically represents someone who is hearing the word of god
-
They refuse to hear it. They refuse to accept it and believe it
-
And they don't make it to the promise and they don't make it to salvation because of their unbelief
-
It's a posthumousy go back to first shon
-
I'm giving you the reality of this
-
You know doctrine here that this does happen
-
Okay, and you know
-
Obviously we should do everything we possibly can to make sure that it doesn't but there's only so much we can do
-
Right, there's only so much we can do we can preach the bible
-
We can make salvation as clear abundantly clear as possible
-
We can talk about it. We can we can do everything we possibly can but at the end of the day people have a free will
-
And they have to choose to believe these things
-
Look at second john if you would second john
-
This would be the last verse because uh, actually, I don't know yet. We'll see I'm not going to speak too soon
-
Look at verse nine. It says who serve a transgressive and abideth not in the doctrine of christ
-
Hath not god he that abideth in the doctrine of christ
-
He has both the father and the son so the bible is telling us here that someone who transgresses they pass over
-
Right, they go beyond the boundaries of the doctrines of christ. They don't have god
-
They don't have christ. This is an apostate go to jude if you would the book of jude
-
You say to yourself
-
You know, I get what you're saying
-
But like how can someone like Kenny Baldwin for example?
-
Just being a church like that
-
be pastoring a church
-
Teach the word of god claim to lead people to christ
-
Talk about the things of god
-
Be a king james only is
-
preach at conferences
-
Do all these things and it just doesn't bother him
-
You know, don't you think the word of god would have like
-
Convicted him or he would felt some sort of illumination from that
-
How is it that he can just continue like that and nothing ever happened? Well, look what it says in verse
-
Let's see here
-
verse 13
-
Actually, let me see here
-
Look at verse 12. These are spots in your feast of charity
-
Listen to this when they feast with you
-
feeding themselves
-
without fear
-
You know why they can do this because they have no conscience
-
They're not afraid of being exposed
-
They can go to you and be like brother feast with you and there's just no fear whatsoever
-
This is what I mean when I say the reprobate don't care
-
If you're afraid is because you have actual fear
-
You know, you're just like oh man, but this person has no fear of god
-
They can literally go to conferences feast with you do all these things and they're not scared
-
Of getting caught why because they're absolute psychopaths
-
They feast themselves without fear clouds
-
They are without water carried about of winds trees whose fruit withereth without fruit twice
-
They plucked up by the words go to 2nd peter chapter 2
-
2nd peter chapter 2
-
2nd peter chapter 2
-
Very similar wording here it says in verse 13 and shall receive the reward of unrighteousness
-
As they they counted pleasure to write in the daytime spots. They are and blemishes
-
Sporting themselves with their own deceivings
-
While they feast with you meaning they kind of come to you they have a
-
A form of godliness they sport themselves with their own deceivings
-
They try to act and look like a christian, but they're lying to you, but they have no fear of being caught
-
They don't really care
-
So that's why we have to really rely upon the lord to expose these people
-
Right
-
I mean that's one of the things that I literally have on my prayer list
-
I pray lord make manifest the folly of the infiltrators
-
I don't have to do the job myself. I preach the word of god
-
I preach what the bible says
-
I try to keep my ear to the ground, but you know what? I'm not on a witch hunt here
-
I'm not going to be on a witch hunt trying to figure out. Who's the Judas Iscariot?
-
I don't even think we have a Judas Iscariot, but we might I don't know
-
But I don't think we do
-
How can you live like that? I'll tell you how I just got to rely upon the lord to make manifest the folly of the infiltrators
-
Because this is his church. This is his congregation
-
This is you know
-
This is his flock
-
I'm the under shepherd and I just have to have faith that god will make manifest the folly of the infiltrators
-
But let me also say this
-
Just because that's the case doesn't mean you should be careless though
-
Kids I mean parents watch your kids in church
-
Don't just let them go in the rooms by themselves with other kids
-
Don't just let them run amok and go into the dark corners
-
I know you love the fellowship and you know, we love the fellowship here
-
But you need to be paying attention to what's going on in our church
-
But this is a fundamental Baptist church though. This is a new IFB church. How this is a family integrated church
-
Yeah, and it's inside of a sin-filled world
-
Where infiltrators actually exist
-
And I'm not calling anybody an infiltrator here, but you know what just because I don't believe there's infiltrators here
-
Doesn't mean I'm going to be reckless either
-
With my parenting, you know, I tell my kids I want to I want you to can I play nope
-
You you be where I can see you
-
I want you to go into some dark corner
-
You know and you know, I don't want you to go to the kitchen
-
No going to the kitchen no going to the mother-baby rooms alone
-
With other kids it's not going to happen
-
And you know what we need to make sure that we're vigilant with our kids regarding that
-
Just because it's a Baptist church doesn't mean nothing can happen
-
Oh, is that not here? Yes here
-
And so yeah, you know, we have confidence that the Lord will make manifest the folly of the Kenny Baldwin's
-
That absolute perverts, but you know what I don't want him or anybody else to take anybody down with him
-
And unless kids because of the fact that people are just reckless
-
Watch your kids
-
You know watch your kids be vigilant take care of them
-
Keep an eye on them have rules for them have boundaries for them have guidelines for them
-
Yeah, but you know, we just trust look
-
I'm all for trusting people but there has to be a line where you're just like this is one area. We just don't
-
We don't cross over
-
Okay, plan is simple. They're like family. I get that but you know what at the end of the day
-
Those are your kids though
-
And you know like the people in our church they are like family, but you know
-
It just that's just a cute saying that we like to say to say we love each other
-
But I do I love you guys you guys are cool
-
I like you guys
-
I like you, you know, but you know what this is this is literally my family though, okay
-
That's just it, you know, some of you guys are you guys are like my spiritual sons, but that but spiritual emphasis on spiritual
-
You know
-
And so we need to make sure we recognize that and not just think well, we're all one big happy family
-
Yeah, but you know what unfortunately, it's just a sinful world. And so don't be stupid
-
Okay, be vigilant
-
Be sober because your adversary the devil walk at the bow seeking whom he made of our
-
Plain and simple
-
Okay, all right. Let's let's pray father. We thank you so much for your word lord help us to
-
Identify the false prophets but recognizes there's only so much we can do and I don't think it's our job
-
To point out who may be the false prophet in our church because I don't even think there's any
-
But if there is I have full faith in you that you will make manifest their folly
-
And we could all we can do is preach the word of god preach the gospel
-
Not be ignorant
-
Not give people too much the benefit of the doubt
-
And and recognize that you know, there's gonna be times where there is a Judas Iscariot that comes through and we may not see it
-
John didn't see it. Peter didn't see it. James didn't see it
-
We obviously know the lord Jesus Christ did he knew from the beginning
-
But I pray that you'd help us as your people to
-
Be discerning and may you protect us as your flock from the Kenny Baldwin's of this world
-
pray for the victims
-
of the people that
-
He molested lord or or was inappropriate with lord
-
I pray father god that they would find solace within your word
-
And I pray that the churches that they're a part of would stand with them and and preach against that wicked reprobate
-
And maybe bless this as we go on our way. Bless the fellowship and follow in Jesus's name. We pray amen
