  1. Well, the wonderful crowd and I'm very happy to see the

  2. presence of every one of you. I know.

  3. It took a special effort on your part to be here.

  4. I know it's either wants to get back home after the morning

  5. service to take a nap or to relax and to not come back,

  6. especially when it's 100 degrees outside, but thank you for

  7. coming by tonight and we hope that you will be able to come

  8. back each night of the meeting as well as encourage others to

  9. do the same. The same.

  10. As you see on the board tonight, we're going to study the book of

  11. Acts chapter 2. The bound to be topics that you

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  12. have thought about. You would like to talk with a

  13. friend or family member, a neighbor, a work colabor someone

  14. that you feel close to and you want them to know the truth but

  15. you don't exactly know how to persuade them.

  16. Don't know necessarily what material to cover.

  17. Well, there's a lot of options when that's the case.

  18. I'm going to give you one. That's real easy.

  19. One chapter when you look at acts to there'll be a couple of

  20. references that I'll make later on through the lesson.

  21. But I primarily, I'm going to spend our time with our chapter

  22. to this chapter is such a wonderful, wonderful chapter and

  23. we're going to break it down into ten great points.

  24. I am very confident, you could erase those 10 points that come

  25. up with 10 more points. This is the Magnificent chapter.

  26. But as we look through these, this chapter, the point number

  27. one, show that x 2. We're right here are all the

  28. verses Point. Number 2, verses 1 through 4

  29. point number 3. Verse 5 point number 4, verse 5

  30. to 13 and that is he outlined. As you see it on the board.

  31. This would be helpful to you to have in your purse in your

  32. wallet. In your Bible, whatever you do

  33. and wherever you keep good valuable information that you

  34. can use to talk to other people with about the gospel.

  35. You know I enjoy sharing my little bible with you wherever I

  36. go and I'm rarely very far away from my copy of the scriptures

  37. and you may have one in your purse I do a lot of schoolkids,

  38. it students in high school and college and all you know, they

  39. keep a Bible with Them. Use the small one.

  40. Maybe they can keep in their pocket.

  41. Keeping the locker keep handy in case of have a discussion that

  42. turns out, whatever your discretion is on when to have it

  43. and Walkman care to use, is certainly up to you.

  44. Now, there's a lot of other good information but this information

  45. it really will turn in to be a great chapter.

  46. That is where we will begin right here.

  47. A great chapter. I Chapter 2 is great.

  48. Now, I don't have room on the board to ride all the reasons of

  49. why. Why is that stew?

  50. A great chapter? I'm going to give you a few

  51. points that you might want to make reference to and your

  52. notes. If you're choosing to take

  53. notes, it is the great chapter after chapter 2 because this is

  54. the day, the very day, the church had its beginning, Acts

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  55. chapter 2, so you look at acts the second chapter And you can

  56. say she began to read great things are happening.

  57. Here it is a great chapter also because it fulfills many, many

  58. Old Testament prophecies about the church in Acts the second

  59. chapter. You have seen numerous Old

  60. Testament. Prophecies fulfilled.

  61. This is a great chapter because we're going to hear the very

  62. first gospel sermon that people had a chance to obey.

  63. Now, I used to say the First Gospel sermon, that was wrong.

  64. It is the First Gospel sermon that people have the opportunity

  65. to obey. Jesus during his ministry.

  66. He preached, the gospel of the Kingdom on being occasions.

  67. They were not yet able to embed a it.

  68. His law did not become binding until he died at Calvary.

  69. But this is the first gospel sermon and Acts chapter 2 and

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  70. this particular chapter you have written and record.

  71. Of the first sermon preached that people had the chance to

  72. obey. We're going to see that

  73. developing as we go along through this chapter.

  74. Now, would you turn with me to Acts 2 verse 40?

    Acts 2:40

  75. I want to show you that everything that happened this

  76. day. We don't have recorded.

  77. I wish the Bible were just a little bit thicker.

  78. So we could have had all the Bible.

  79. All the sermon that he preached. That's the second chapter verse

  80. 40 and with many Other words, did he testify and exhort

  81. saying, save yourself from this untoward generation.

  82. I would love to know what all those other words were.

  83. I would love to know what else he wanted to tell them that we

  84. don't have any record of it, but what we do have record of is

  85. recorded in the 47 verses of Acts chapter 2 and I want

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  86. everyone to really get a handle on this chapter and really get a

  87. working knowledge right here. This right here will get

  88. people's attention that they need to re-evaluate.

  89. Where they are spiritually and they need to make the changes

  90. necessary to become a member of the church.

  91. That was established by Jesus right here and Acts chapter 2.

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  92. You know what we find? Let's begin in verse 1 and when

  93. the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one

  94. Accord in one place. And suddenly there came from

  95. Heaven as of a rushing, Mighty Wind, and it filled all the

  96. house, where they were sitting, In and there appeared to them,

  97. cloven, tongues, like, the fighter.

  98. And it said upon each of them, and they were all filled with

  99. the Holy Ghost and began to speak with other tongues, as the

  100. spirit. Gave them utterance indeed.

  101. It was a great day. 1 x 2, verse 1 through 4 saying it was in day

  102. of Pentecost. That's what you want to write

  103. down. It is a day of Pentecost.

  104. It was a great day. What day was it?

  105. The day of Pentecost. Now I want you to know something

  106. right here. We need to say more.

  107. I preached many sermons through the years and I said, the church

  108. was established of them Pentecost and that's true, but

  109. it's not enough. Formation for people to take in

  110. really be usable. When was the church established.

  111. You may say Acts chapter 2? That's right.

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  112. You might say all the day of Pentecost, that's right.

  113. But we need to say more than just a day of Pentecost.

  114. Here it is. The church was established in

  115. Acts 2 on the day of Pentecost. That is the first Pentecost I've

  116. After the resurrection, that's when the Church of the

  117. stablished, do you know how many days of Pentecost and working

  118. for this? Who knows how many, many, many

  119. days of Pentecost, but to be more clear and more precise The

  120. Church of Our Lord, the content of Acts chapter 2 is the day of

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  121. Pentecost. The first Pentecost after the

  122. resurrection. Now that is when the church

  123. began that is, what is so beautiful here?

  124. That is why this day this day of Pentecost is uniquely greater

  125. than other days of Pentecost. Because this day was today, the

  126. church had its And this is so very important and remember

  127. remember to add it to remember, the phrase are the worded like

  128. you want to the first Pentecost after the resurrection.

  129. Then you've ever precisely and concisely told people was

  130. happening and when it really took place, okay?

  131. Look at verse 5. The word said and there were

  132. dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men out of every nation

  133. under Heaven. You know what?

  134. This is a great place. It was indeed a great place.

  135. Where were we here? The Bible said, they were

  136. dwelling at Jerusalem. That's where we are.

  137. Listen, now, Jerusalem is the place that the Lord's church had

  138. its beginning and when you're speaking with your community,

  139. contacting your friend, and your neighbor and your family members

  140. and your reading and study this for yourself for your own

  141. spiritual growth, you understand that you want to know what this

  142. great place is? It's your Rouge l'm.

  143. You find that rare. Recorded in verse 5. so we know

  144. today, Any church or should I say religious organization?

  145. That started before Acts 2, it began to soon, therefore it's

  146. not the Lord's Church. Any religious organization that

  147. began after acts to began too late?

  148. It's not the Lord's Church, the Lord's Church started and acts

  149. to the first Pentecost after the resurrection and the City of

  150. Jerusalem. Did, you know, this was taught

  151. by Jesus and the Great Commission.

  152. Now, one night during this gospel meeting, I may preach a

  153. sermon on the Great Commission, but let me give you one verse of

  154. the Great Commission. Go with me.

  155. If you will dilute the 24th chapter Most times when people

  156. talk about the Great Commission, they will go to Matthew and Mark

  157. and that's obviously fine. But Luke also records, the Great

  158. Commission, and Luke, 24 and verse 47.

  159. The word of God says the following And that repentance

  160. and remission of sins should be preached in his name, among all

  161. nations, beginning at Jerusalem. Please remember, look, 24 and

  162. verse 47. Jesus delivering the Great

  163. Commission. He told them where this is going

  164. to take place and the City of Jerusalem, he told them what was

  165. going to be preached repentance. And remission of sins.

  166. This is very, very important here.

  167. Did you know Luke's account of the Great Commission?

  168. And Luke 24, is the only account of the Great Commission that

  169. mention of repentance Matthew and Mark, they had other great

  170. things Luke's. The only one that mentioned

  171. repentance, they did not say the word.

  172. Baptism of the told you what baptism is for the remission of

  173. sins. Repentance and remission of

  174. sins. Dear friends.

  175. Will you learn so very much if we would allow the Bible to

  176. interpret the Bible? We can leave man-made ideas out

  177. of it. I like to study Matthew, Mark,

  178. Luke and John and see what one person may say.

  179. The other did not say, and when do you do a Chronological Study

  180. of the life of Our Lord, a parallel of the Gospels?

  181. It is amazing. What you will learn one of my

  182. favorite studies Through The Years, congregational study.

  183. Was done probably eight or nine years ago, and the 21st straight

  184. in Oklahoma City. We did a Chronological Study of

  185. the gospels that is event by event and the order in which it

  186. transpired. And it is very interesting to

  187. see how this is done. Of course, there are the time or

  188. two along, the way that you had to say, well, probably this

  189. happened here, you know, there might be a couple of those but

  190. by and large when you let the Bible interpret the Bible and

  191. you look at Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John You say a pretty clean

  192. clear-cut Chronological Study. Well, that's what we find here.

  193. We find a great place happened here and the Bible made it

  194. abundantly clear and their dwelling at Jerusalem.

  195. Therefore, please remember the New Testament started, where,

  196. and the City of Jerusalem, that's where it started.

  197. Many religious groups today, begin all over the world but the

  198. only true church of Our Lord began at Jerusalem.

  199. Now, let's look at verse Point. Number 4, we find here a great

  200. crowd. What in the word of this about

  201. in verses 5 to 13 and I won't read them all.

  202. But it makes you 17 different nationalities.

  203. It makes you and even in verse 5, there are people there out of

  204. every nation under Heaven. Can you imagine that?

  205. Attendance of that day. Well, I'll be very Frank with

  206. you. I do not know how many people

  207. were there, but I do know that if you got people there out of

  208. every nation under Heaven, you've got 17 nationalities that

  209. were named. You had a great crowd, a

  210. magnificent crowd, an event that has happened in this state that

  211. it never happened before, profit in your being fulfilled, for the

  212. very first time regarding the New Testament Church.

  213. And waited a, we never want to lose sight.

  214. Of what transpired here. Yes, indeed, this great crowd, I

  215. enjoy that time. Studying these 17 different

  216. nationalities, these different nations that were present but

  217. you know, that's what the Bible said would happen.

  218. I'm not going to read all this but you go back to Joel the

  219. second chapter. Oh Testament, The Book of Joel

    Joel 2 chapter mention

  220. chapter 2, you go to Daniel chapter, 2, you go to Isaiah,

    Isaiah 2 chapter mention

  221. chapter 2, Ooh, they're called a coincidence or called it

  222. Providence, I don't know, but I tell you what, it's interesting,

  223. the church established in Acts chapter 2, but you go to Joe and

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  224. to, I Isaiah to dang the two and you see prophecies about the

  225. church and had prophesied about, who all would be represented

  226. people go there out of every nation under heaven.

  227. Wow, this is a big event. I do not know what the biggest

  228. event you've ever been to. But they've been some tremendous

  229. events across the land. When they had thousands upon

  230. thousands upon thousands of people you can even go to a

  231. sporting event and have over 100,000 people.

  232. Yeah it's amazing. How many people you can have a

  233. variety of type of even a political event Plenty of what

  234. no event was more important than this event.

  235. This event right here. We see the Church of Our Lord is

  236. established. This is the day.

  237. It was established right here. Okay.

  238. Now verses 14 through 36, I want to put a little bit of trash

  239. trick right here. This is a great sermon.

  240. One thing we're prone to do today that Peter did not do.

  241. At least, he's not recorded, is tell you, the title of the

  242. sermon. So, if you want to name it

  243. different than what I want to name it, that's fine, Nathan,

  244. what you want to, I'm going to call it salvation from sin.

  245. Peter preached to them how to be saved saved from their sins.

  246. And so my preference, I like to call it salvation from sin but

  247. the Bible does not State Peter said, well, the title of my

  248. lesson today is whatever this sermon began to verse 14.

  249. Please knows me verse 14, and Peter standing up with the

  250. eleven lifted up his voice and said, you men of Judea, all you

  251. would want to Jerusalem, be it known unto you.

  252. This day and hearken to my words.

  253. And it took off, he began at sermon at verse 14.

  254. All the way down through verse 36.

  255. Wow. What a privilege for that crowd

  256. of people to have heard the First Gospel sermon that was

  257. ever preached that they were going to have the opportunity to

  258. obey. That was a tremendous honor.

  259. They probably did not realize everybody there.

  260. The greatness of the honor they were now involved in.

  261. But here we find the First Gospel sermon Priest by the

  262. Apostle Peter on the day of Pentecost and the City of

  263. Jerusalem, you see this story is unfolding it all goes together.

  264. We learned the day will earn the place to learn the crowd.

  265. We learned the sermon, it's all together, and this is what is so

  266. helpful and talking people and converting people sharing the

  267. good news with people about this one little chapter of Acts

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  268. chapter 2, But now let's look at it.

  269. Another thought. One verse verse 37 what we find

  270. here, Peter 3 June away at his sermon and they seem to ask him

  271. a question. Maybe have been of even

  272. interrupted him you know there's some scholarly difference on

  273. that but they interrupt him or whether he paused or what, but

  274. they asked him a great question or look at verse 37 and we'll

  275. see what that great question is. They asked upon him, they said

  276. now who they are. Heard this, they were pricked in

  277. their heart and said unto Peter and to the rest of the Apostles

  278. men and Brethren. What shall we do?

  279. You know what they want to know? They want to know what must I do

  280. to be saved. What shall we do?

  281. Three times in the New Testament?

  282. This question was asked his ass right here.

  283. And that's 2 and verse 37, it was asked and asked and not

  284. chapter And the conversion of Saul of Tarsus, he's a lord.

  285. What will you have me to do? If that ask again, you're not 16

  286. Verse 30, the Philippian Jailer. What must I do to be saved my

  287. dear friends. Please everyone of you

  288. understand, you need to know what you must do to be saved.

  289. And not only that, you need to know what you must do to stay

  290. saved. We got to know that we got to

  291. know the answers to both of those and will we know the

  292. answers to both of those will become more effective personal

  293. worker. Because who were talking to if

  294. their loss, they need know what they must do to be saved if

  295. they're out of Duty of the church.

  296. They're out of Fellowship there back into the world.

  297. The Bible says that have gone astray.

  298. They aired. You can share with them what

  299. they must do to stay sane and how to come back.

  300. Oh this sermon was such a powerful sermon and whenever you

  301. have the opportunity look over this sermon verses 14 to 36 and

  302. these people were Were pricked in their heart.

  303. They're excited. And they said men and Brethren.

  304. What shall we do? Peter had preached a sermon that

  305. convicted, the people they were convicted.

  306. You remember during his sermon, he said, you delivered a

  307. murderer to be granted unto you. You denied the Son of God you

  308. killed Jesus your savior, We preached his heart out.

  309. Peter, a man of many thoughts. He was the same man.

  310. That deny the Lord three times in one night.

  311. You remember that's recorded in Matthew 26.

  312. Peter's one Duvall withstood to the face.

  313. Peter wasn't a perfect man, but tell you what.

  314. Right now, he was a man of God and his preaching, his heart out

  315. his preaching to thousands of people there, out of every

  316. nation under heaven. Where was he?

  317. She raised them. And he began and he preached his

  318. heart out. And these people said, why must

  319. we do? And you know what, Peter gave

  320. them, he gave them a great answer.

  321. What I want out of every one of you, ladies and men, I want

  322. everyone to be equipped with the right answer to question

  323. regarding salvation. I want you to be able to go to

  324. acts the second chapter. There are numerous of other

  325. places to go that are good. I didn't great.

  326. But I actually pretty awesome. You go to the second chapter.

  327. You can hear a sermon if you read it, you can see the

  328. question asked, what must I do it?

  329. And you see the question. Oh, let's read verse 38 to 40.

  330. Let's read the answer to the question and verse 38 about the

  331. second chapter. Here's what the Bible says.

  332. Peter said unto them, repent and be baptized every one of you and

  333. the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins and ye shall

  334. receive the gift of the Holy Ghost for the promise is unto

  335. you and to your children. To all of them that are far off,

  336. even as many as the Lord, Our God shall call.

  337. And with many other words did he testify to them?

  338. Saying, save yourself from this untoward generation.

  339. Just remember this. And verse 40.

  340. Peter put the ball in their Court.

  341. He said, save yourself from this untoward generation.

  342. You do watch necessary for you to be saved.

  343. You respond to the good news of the Lord Jesus Christ.

  344. And his answer, he gave to them. He told them of two commands, he

  345. said, you need to number one, you need to repent.

  346. You need to change your life. Change your ways, change your

  347. Find I met before the week's over friction.

  348. Less than our repentance. I get thinking of all the things

  349. I might Freaks and the next thing I know, we're next week.

  350. That's and then I'm out. And I don't have time, but I

  351. want to preach 190 repentance. Peter said you repent and you be

  352. baptized for the remission of sins and ye shall receive the

  353. gift of the Holy Ghost. He gave them two commands

  354. repentance baptism. He gave them two blessings.

  355. Remission of sins and give to the Holy Ghost.

  356. And then he said, This shall be not only unto you look at it.

  357. Now with me at verse 39, he said, for This Promise is unto

  358. you, it's up to your children, it is under them that are for

  359. off to as many as the Lord Our God shall called.

  360. Guess who we are. We are to as many as the Lord,

  361. Our God shall call that is our category.

  362. He said it's unto you the Jews and to your children to them

  363. afar off. The Gentiles, all of you the

  364. same gospel applies to the Jew and the Gentile, they said to,

  365. as many as the Lord Our God shall call and he had told them

  366. in the Great Commission. Going all the world, go to Every

  367. Nation. Go to Every Creature and

  368. preaching to them this great news of friends.

  369. Listen, when is the last time you had the opportunity to share

  370. with them, your friends, your neighbor, Your community

  371. contact. The gospel needs of Salvation.

  372. When's the last time you dated to take somebody that's two and

  373. 38 and showed them right here is what you do to be saved.

  374. When is the last time you use actually 38, or any of the other

  375. verse of the teacher? The same truth about salvation.

  376. See, listen, I'll be honest with you.

  377. Now, this may hurt a little bit but it needs to be said, we are

  378. allowing time and opportunity to escape us that we do not seize

  379. the opportunity to talk to people about the gospel.

  380. We get too busy talking, weather politics Sports, you name it

  381. anything but the gospel when we as Christians, we should love

  382. the gospel so much. We can't help.

  383. But say how is your spiritual life?

  384. Happy birthday. Whoo.

  385. What how is your spiritual life or do you believe in life after

  386. death life after death? I hadn't thought about that.

  387. Do you believe in it? Do you believe you're going to

  388. live after you die? This Earthly death?

  389. All these kind of question, they pierce people's heart and it

  390. really sets them back for a moment, but you have calls him

  391. spiritual evaluation, Dear friends.

  392. Please keep your Bible handy. Keep your notes and keep as much

  393. in your memory keep it on the tip of your tongue and teaching

  394. people what they must do to be saved.

  395. That's why these people right here, asked, they said, what

  396. must we do? And Peter answer them, you need

  397. to repent and, you know, you baptized for the remission of

  398. your sins over. It is so magnificent when you

  399. look at here and you began to see exactly What.

  400. Transpired now would you go with me to verse 41?

  401. Wow. Verse 41.

  402. It is amazing. The word of God says the

  403. following Then they that gladly received his word were baptized

  404. and the same day. They write into them about three

  405. thousand Souls. Wow.

  406. You know what? I've never preached.

  407. The gospel in front of 3,000 people.

  408. Maybe over the radio and television but not in person.

  409. I didn't know my audience of people that I could see with my

  410. own eyes and I could I could talk to them and shake their

  411. hand and hug her neck. I've never done that.

  412. I preached in front of 1,500 people.

  413. I did that in a funeral. We had a, when I lived in

  414. Dallas, Texas, we had three Community teenagers that were

  415. killed in a tragic automobile accident, and they select 23

  416. preachers in town and I've managed to be one of those

  417. three. And they asked me, if I would

  418. speak it. If I was pecan salvation, I

  419. think. Yeah, yes, I will.

  420. I'm excited, not a bother death. No, not a bit but about share

  421. with 1500 school kids about side.

  422. Elevation. It was such a great honor.

  423. Oh, we all went to work. We put together some packets of

  424. Salvation little tracks and writings and we were busy.

  425. We only had a short period of time.

  426. And I was able to gather into the school auditorium and they

  427. had two men who went before me and I took with me several men

  428. who knew the gospel well, and who is easy to share the good

  429. news and we were ready. As we was going to share the

  430. gospel Plan of Salvation to 1500 students.

  431. It was a great joy and a great opportunity.

  432. And my friends listen, you can have opportunity not maybe like

  433. that you might as man you might have something like that but

  434. probably things like that only happen occasionally but just be

  435. ready whether one person or one thousand people to share the

  436. good news. The good news of salvation.

  437. When there's work done, there was two.

  438. You see benefit from that work, you'll see salvation from

  439. people. But you kind of work and got to

  440. work hard got to work together and to team, you know, I get off

  441. on that talks a lot, but I do want you to know this is a great

  442. chapter to really get us going. And when you look at Acts 2 and

  443. verse 41, it becomes abundantly clear because what it does, it

  444. shows us a tremendous Response. About 3,000 people obey the

  445. gospel that day. What?

  446. I never preached in person in front of 3,000 people.

  447. Can you imagine baptized and 3,000?

  448. How many more thousands were there?

  449. As you go on and read in the book of Acts, you see where the

  450. church multiplied greatly. You can look at that for and

  451. there was 5,000. Now it's a little bit of a

  452. debate, a little bit of discussion whether that 5,000

  453. included, the 3000 of that stew and his only two thousand more

  454. in addition to that three or four or five thousand

  455. additional. What?

  456. I don't know. And it doesn't matter.

  457. They just shows the gospel was spreading.

  458. And that's what's important. You know what we find in Acts 2

  459. and verse 42, we find a great worship was introduced.

  460. Look at acts to on politicization here.

  461. This is very, very important. Acts 2 and verse 42.

  462. The word of God says the following And they continued

  463. steadfastly in the apostles Doctrine and fellowship and

  464. breaking of bread. and in prayers, And this one, passage

  465. four of the five items of worship are mentioned.

  466. I love the part it said and they continue.

  467. This wasn't a one-time one day event.

  468. They continued steadfastly in the apostles Doctrine which is

  469. the teaching and fellowship for just a contribution and breaking

  470. and bread, which is the communion and in prayers.

  471. And you say, wait, what about singing?

  472. I love to singing. That's fine.

  473. He drew two and twelve said in the midst of the church, well, I

  474. sing Raises under the Hebrew, 2, and verse 12.

  475. And, you know, there, when the communion with Indonesia by

  476. Jesus, they sang to him and departed.

  477. The seconds involved. you know, for you that are my age and

  478. older and some of you may say that's not very many, but I

  479. really is There used to be a great discussion about order of

  480. worship. And that phrase order of worship

  481. to you, young ones, you may have.

  482. What, what's that? Well, what that is is that to

  483. verse 42, some to the position. Even within my own family, my

  484. wife's family that you had to Worship in that precise order.

  485. Meaning you got to have, you know, the teaching the

  486. contribution, the communion, and then prayers.

  487. He had heard in the same order. And I don't get off on that

  488. topic, but that's where it came from Acts 2 verse 42, I've got

    Acts 2:42

  489. tracks at me and wrote trying to prove that precise for water.

  490. I spoke my wife's grandparents who for many, many years, they

  491. practice this order of worship out of conviction.

  492. There is no precise order of worship.

  493. I want you to know that and the way we know that is the order is

  494. different in different places of the New Testament that just

  495. briefly without true. But there's other time that the

  496. order was given is given differently and there's one

  497. precise order has been given the same way every time.

  498. But in Acts 2:42 what we find is a great worship.

    Acts 2:42

  499. You know. I hope today that in your

  500. spiritual maturity that you are eager to grow and grow fervently

  501. and grow day by day and you look forward to worship.

  502. It's not. Oh, go to church tonight.

  503. Probably one time know that every one of us have said that

  504. or something to that effect. But as we grow and spirituality

  505. and we become more mature, brothers and sisters Sons, and

  506. Daughters, God, we get to go to church tonight.

  507. We get to study this particular chapter.

  508. We get to hear this chicken preacher.

  509. We get to study this particular passage.

  510. It's wonderful. I hope you enjoy worship, but

  511. one thing you have to understand about worship, Worship Is God

  512. designed, and not man designed. And John 4 and verse 23 it says

  513. god sakes. It's true worshipers to worship

  514. Him in spirit and in truth and then verse 24 of John Ford.

  515. He's a god of the spirit and they that worship Him must

  516. worship Him in spirit and in truth that's John 4 verse 23 and

    John 4:23

  517. 24. Worship is so valuable and so

  518. important and it's God's plan. He had people were spent years

  519. and years ago before this, sermon yet.

  520. They're in different ways. But today I'll worship services

  521. are important and you cannot go running off on vacation or

  522. somewhere some luxury trip and just had I'm just not going to

  523. do this. That know it's every first day

  524. of the week you gather and worship scripturally with those

  525. of like Precious faith. Some people get two laps on that

  526. and we can't afford to do that. Let me tell you what when people

  527. did not observe the sabbath day and keep it.

  528. Holy, they pay the price is huge price and we're going to pay a

  529. price. If we don't worship with God

  530. wants us to well the tenth point that I want to mention is found

  531. in Verses 43 47. And what we're going to find is

  532. a great beginning. Why I want to begin.

  533. This really is. This is the beginning of the

  534. church, everybody. The church is now beginning.

  535. Would you turn your Bibles made Arch?

  536. To we began verse 43. The Bible says, and fear Came

  537. Upon every soul and Many Wonders and signs were done by the

  538. apostles and all that believed were together and had all things

  539. common. They sold their possessions and

  540. their goods. I think part of them.

  541. Every man as he had need in verse 46 and they continuing

  542. daily with one Accord in the temple.

  543. Breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with

  544. gladness and singleness of heart, praising God, and having

  545. favor with all the people and the Lord added to the church

  546. daily, such as should be saved. The Lord added into the church.

  547. Wow, the church. Now that's King James version,

  548. some other versions used a different word of this.

  549. The accuracy of the church. The church had its beginning in

  550. the year a.d. 33. who this Gathering of thousand people

  551. were there and the First Gospel, sermon, and the people responded

  552. about 3,000 people were baptized I beg continue to worship

  553. because the church was had its beginning.

  554. And my friends, when you grab hold of Acts 2 and the book of

  555. Acts and you start reading, he's got 28 chapters, you're going to

  556. see Paul making missionary journey.

  557. Number one, number two, and number three.

  558. You can see congregation established here there and over

  559. there, you can see. Great, many people not to Blind

  560. greatly because they are saved because they were baptized in

  561. the name of the Lord Jesus. Jesus Christ for the remission

  562. of their sins and the name of the father, Son, and Holy

  563. Spirit, they're in there. Now children of God, well, this

  564. is magnificent. It is so very important.

  565. I asked you today. Will you please get a renewed

  566. Zeal and interest and joy of your salvation?

  567. I'm so afraid and I want to be very candid with you, you know?

  568. I love you and you know, I care for you but I'm afraid people

  569. have lost the joy of their salvation.

  570. How many times you said, hey, did you see my new car?

  571. I got a new car and you take people out and you go show them

  572. the new car. You know what your ad rifle?

  573. You got a new vehicle. Are you talking about your new

  574. job or you're accepting to school, or your grades?

  575. Are you GPA? I'm gonna whatever your

  576. certificate of completion, your graduation.

  577. Whatever it is. I mean, you put on Facebook, all

  578. the happy things that happen in your life.

  579. I want you to have that kind of joy of your salvation.

  580. Shh. Because we're members of the

  581. family of God. We're privileged to be able to

  582. call him our father. His son, our savior.

  583. Well there's so much more in Acts chapter 2.

    Acts 2 chapter mention

  584. I look forward to and I pray today that we could have a very

  585. successful gospel meeting. We can cover a lot of variety of

  586. material that would be given wisdom that will help us.

  587. You know what it's best to teach.

  588. We want you to grow during this week and then continue to grow.

  589. But we prayed to God, for all of you and I ask you to pray for me

  590. because we're in the first day of this meeting here.
