  1. I'm back to your tensions Book of Matthew.

  2. The 21st chapter. This is a very unique chapter,

  3. very unique circumstance that Jesus is again been faced with

  4. those who are opposing him. You know, the life of Jesus can

  5. be chronologically divided into approximately 200 events.

  6. It depends on who's doing it but usually it's he upper 181 90s if

  7. different events in the life of Our Lord.

  8. The one I use is 212 different events of give and take 200

  9. events. This event right here, is what

  10. we're going to talk about tonight.

  11. Matthew 21, please, let's begin at verse 23.

  12. Now, I'll be reading from the new King James version, Matthew

  13. 21, In verse 23. Now, when Jesus came into the

  14. temple, the chief priests, and the Elders of the people

  15. confronting him as he was teaching and said by, what

  16. Authority are you doing these things?

  17. And who gave you this Authority? But Jesus said unto them, I also

  18. will ask you one thing, which if you would tell me I also would

  19. tell you by what Authority I do these things.

  20. The baptism of John Where was it from from heaven or from men and

  21. they reasoned among themselves. Saying, if we say from Heaven,

  22. he will say to us. Why did you not then believe

  23. him? But if we should say, from Men,

  24. We Fear the multitude for all, hold John as a prophet.

  25. So they answered Jesus and said we do not know And he said unto

  26. them, neither will I tell you by what Authority I do these

  27. things. This story is a very masterful

  28. piece of assistance to help me and you to grow spiritually to

  29. make sure that our name is truly written in the Lamb's Book of

  30. Life. If we will yield to the Lord's

  31. and changing hand, it is a magnificent story because we

  32. find Jesus once again standing out of II and Toad and toe and

  33. dealing with those who opposed him.

  34. Now if you will find very few people today who will say, I

  35. oppose Jesus like she did in the day that he lived on this Earth,

  36. but bother actions, they oppose Jesus.

  37. They want to change the way he did things.

  38. And this reading Matthew 21, 23 to 27, these Chief priests, and

  39. these Elders. They've been brought in a

  40. variety of ways to try to get Jesus and trick him.

  41. Get him to say something that they would have just cause to

  42. crucify him. So this time is interesting how

  43. many different times they've tried but this time they asked

  44. him they said the chief priests and the Elders of sitting there

  45. by what Authority do you do these things and who gave you

  46. this Authority? Now I want you to know today,

  47. that's not a bad question. Another one of those by what

  48. Authority and he gave you this Authority.

  49. And I encourage everyone here to keep those questions.

  50. These four questions that we learn in Matthew 21, 23 to 27,

  51. closing your heart and on the tip of your tongue.

  52. That's a great way of having a discussion about of what what

  53. Authority do you do these things and who gave you that Authority

  54. when Jesus was not To answer their question, he could easily

  55. answer their question. However, He chose to use another

  56. approach. He's Auntie what I do boys.

  57. I will ask you a question. You answer mine, I'll answer

  58. yours now. Jesus did that quite a bit

  59. during his ministry whenever you read and study the life of the

  60. Lord and you studied in chronological event or you just

  61. read it through, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

  62. And you take take special attention to notice how many

  63. times. He has questioned numerous of

  64. times. He returned to question with a

  65. question. And Jesus said I want to ask you

  66. a question and your lab sir mind, I'll answer yours, he said

  67. the baptism of John which is a prevailing teaching of the day,

  68. the baptism of John. Where did it come from?

  69. Did it come from heaven or did it come from me?

  70. Again a very good question. They for question by what

  71. Authority who gave you this Authority?

  72. Is it from heaven or in the from men is really a strong approach

  73. And discussing with what nearly any topic from a Biblical basis.

  74. What are the chief priests and the elders were stunned.

  75. By the Lord's response. They had to get over here and

  76. kind of have a little huddle and tried to discuss what we can do

  77. with that. You know, what's going to

  78. happen. If we say it is from Heaven, he

  79. will say, why did you not obey him?

  80. That's what he's going to take. You don't want to go to say, you

  81. can say, why didn't you do it? Why don't you obey him?

  82. If it's from heaven. And another gentleman no doubt

  83. would have said but if we say it from man, look at all these

  84. people, this monster to young people.

  85. They're likely to take our life and do us damage.

  86. We just gonna have to go out there and more or less played

  87. the fifth and just simply say we don't know.

  88. That's what conclusion of their little huddle.

  89. So they go back to Jesus and they said, we can't tell they

  90. knew well and good. The answer to their the

  91. question, the Lord asked and he said, well, myth until are you

  92. but why don't thority I do these things.

  93. It is very interesting. That Jesus knew exactly how to

  94. be to show these Chief priests and these Elders to show them up

  95. and show. They were not been honest this

  96. month to the people they need the baptism of John they knew

  97. where it came from but these people rather say we don't know

  98. than to give the true and honest answer.

  99. He knew they were not honest therefore why did he do?

  100. He showed they were not honest before For the people, that is a

  101. great story and a great event. Jesus had to be on his toes

  102. every step of the way in his preaching and his teaching

  103. during his ministry. During his entire 33 years on

  104. this Earth, people are always trying to tempt him trick him, a

  105. put him into a bind and he was red and every occasion.

  106. It is so wonderful to read the life of Our Lord, in the four

  107. gospels and the see how it is that he won.

  108. Every time someone confronted him the new King James version

  109. use the word they confronted him.

  110. Confrontation is not very nice. We don't enjoy being confronted.

  111. Oh, but Jesus had to do it day in and day out he had to be on

  112. his toes. But he was a man of God, he was

  113. the son of the almighty. God, he was coming to preserve

  114. us a way that we can reach eternal life.

  115. In heaven, he was tempted in all points like where you are yet

  116. without sin. He preached many great sermons.

  117. He gave many rape Parables. He did many great Miracles.

  118. He my dear friend prayed many prayers and he gained a a

  119. watchful eye and people wanted to go with him and wherever he

  120. would go there be a crowd of people wanted to follow him and

  121. time, teachers had to escape the crowd for a little while.

  122. Maybe just take a breather. Jesus had a mission and his

  123. mission was, I want to save the people from their sins.

  124. Matthew 1 and verse 21. I just absolutely personally,

  125. adore, the opportunity of reading these events in the life

  126. of Jesus and see how he responded to people who were his

  127. adversaries. Christian friends.

  128. Listen, you're going to have adversaries in this life.

  129. They're gonna laugh at you and time to make fun of you.

  130. You go to church every night for all a whole week.

  131. You're going to go to church every Sunday, you're not gonna

  132. miss any. I mean, you go 51 times a year

  133. and you're going to make yourself.

  134. I forgot about 50. Second time of the year, you

  135. can't take me on vacation and not go to church if you're gone

  136. on Sunday and people will laugh at you.

  137. They'll make fun of you but you stand proud, not proud in a bad

  138. way but you stand up being very distinguished and very

  139. committed, I'm following Jesus, he Gave his all for me.

  140. I'm going to give my all to him. It is so wonderful.

  141. So wonderful to see how Jesus responded.

  142. We can learn a lot from that. Now I want to tell you why I

  143. want everybody here to remember to memorize things for

  144. questions. They're not hard by what

  145. Authority who gave you this Authority in the from heaven

  146. from man, nearly any Bible topics you want to talk about in

  147. a home study? With your friends, family

  148. community Prospect, you can talk with them and you can get to

  149. Matthew 21, 23 to 25 and when you get there, you can begin it.

  150. By what Authority who gave you this Authority from heaven or

  151. from men. I love it.

  152. When people ask me about what Authority do you do?

  153. What you do? Now that may worded differently,

  154. they want basically know why do you do what you do?

  155. Now so what I'm glad you asking and if you don't mind I like to

  156. ask you the same thing by what Authority.

  157. Do you do, what you do? Oh, whether you're talking about

  158. singing, whether you're talking about the communion, whether

  159. you're talking about preaching their rooms in the scriptures,

  160. they're teaching in the New Testament where by, we want to

  161. submit ourselves to and we want to make sure that what we do.

  162. We have Authority for it. We want to make sure we have the

  163. authority from heaven, from the word of God.

  164. We want to make sure it's from And not from Men.

  165. The majority of the religious world today, follows the

  166. teaching, a man rather than teaching the Came From Heaven,

  167. yet the Bible said and Proverbs 3 verse 5 Solomon, who wrote

    Proverbs 3:5

  168. this great book and this is indeed a great book.

  169. When you think of Proverbs, most people think of proverbs 31 and

  170. it is indeed a wonderful chapter about a virtuous woman.

  171. But at this time, it's look at Proverbs 3 and verse Five.

  172. The Bible said, trust in the Lord, lay not to your own

  173. understanding. Now, let's not puts us all in

  174. place. Trust in the Lord do not lean to

  175. whatever you think, what you think.

  176. And what I think does not make something right or wrong while

  177. makes it right or wrong is by what Authority who gave you that

  178. Authority in the from Heaven's? It from me, that's make

  179. something right or wrong. Now, if you had written the

  180. Bible, guess what you would have written it differently than what

  181. the Lord and through the apostles.

  182. And the Holy Spirit, did I would have written it differently.

  183. I was sure. Are you but guess what?

  184. You didn't? I didn't.

  185. It is through the mighty will of God, and his Majestic plan that

  186. the holy scriptures are written. By the inspiration of the Holy

  187. Spirit. It teaches us, everything we

  188. need to know in our spiritual life.

  189. How to worship what we should believe all the great truths of

  190. scripture and we should be so excited to follow it.

  191. We can always go back to these four questions and we can always

  192. go to Proverbs and we can learn. Listen, it's not what I want the

  193. matter. That's why does the Lord want?

  194. And we've got to have that heart.

  195. The heart that said is what the Lord wants.

  196. That's what matters. It's not what I want.

  197. I'm a would have done things differently.

  198. I know I would have and you would have.

  199. But listen, we are Servants of the Lord Almighty.

  200. We're yielding to, his unchanging hand.

  201. You know, we used to sing a song and it's been a long time that I

  202. remember it being in one of our selling books yield not to

  203. Temptation for yielding is sin. So many times we we read and we

  204. study And we leaned over to the way of the world and we yield to

  205. Temptation This song said that so well and some of you may have

  206. never heard that song but but most of us my age around.

  207. We've heard it. Will you scared all the time?

  208. Preachers used to preach on it and really made us think do not

  209. yield to Temptation for yielding is sin.

  210. Dear friend, I want you to make sure that in your life in your

  211. worship, wherever you may be move off to and attend a an

  212. assembly somewhere else. You make sure that is a faithful

  213. congregation that if worshipping by the authority of the Lord

  214. Jesus Christ, their worship about things that came from

  215. heaven and not from man, they're trusting in the Lord and not

  216. their own. Now, Proverbs 16 and 25 is very

  217. similar to Proverbs 3 & 5 is It's worded a little bit

  218. differently but it says the same basic truth and Proverbs 16.

  219. And 25 Solomon, said the following He said there is a way

  220. that seems right unto man, but the end thereof is the way of

  221. death. so, I understand if we engage and we embrace the way of

  222. man, We're not going to be saved.

  223. Our name is nothing to say written in the Lamb's Book of

  224. Life. Our name is going to be blotted

  225. out. If you want to make sure your

  226. name is in the Lamb's Book of Life, you know, the what the

  227. Lord wants. And you do not yield a man's

  228. way. Men and women have managed to

  229. start a great number. 138 thousands of different religious

  230. organizations. Every item of worship has been

  231. changed the singing, the prayers, the communion, the

  232. contribution. The teaching, all of that has

  233. been changed by man, not by God. But by man, It is amazing.

  234. How people embrace the ways of man rather than staying true to

  235. the word of God? I do not understand.

  236. I do realize that some people are deceived by smooth and fair

  237. speeches. They're deceived because people

  238. are very persuasive and what they teach?

  239. I ask of you to take your word of God with you and keep it

  240. close. Ladies, keep it in your purse.

  241. Keep it in the car and keep it handy, man.

  242. Keep it in your pocket. Keep it in your glove box of

  243. your car. Keep it in your desk, at work,

  244. whatever your circumstances. Keep it handy.

  245. And when someone has an opportunity, and they ask you a

  246. question, but ready to pull it out and say, well, here's what

  247. the Bible says. Says, or simply what does the

  248. Bible say about that? You know, I love it.

  249. When people say, how do you really believe whatever?

  250. I guess, you know what? I'm dealing with you, it doesn't

  251. matter what I believe, but that doesn't make it right or doesn't

  252. make it wrong. What matters is what the

  253. scriptures teach. That's what makes it right or

  254. wrong. Now it matters what I believe as

  255. far as obeying the will of God, but I can say is wrong but that

  256. doesn't make it wrong. What makes it wrong is?

  257. If it violates the will of God, I can say.

  258. It's right, that doesn't make it right.

  259. Unless it's supported by book chapter and verse in scripture

  260. and that is his thought and the message.

  261. We need to leave with people we have to play.

  262. Seized along the way. Give them food for thought and

  263. my dear friends, listen, Matthew 21, 23 to 27 establishes, by

  264. what Authority, and this little story.

  265. And those few verses teach volumes of lessons that will

  266. help people get committed to serving the lord.

  267. And that's what it's all about. To make sure that our name is

  268. really written in heaven. Well, you know, when you go down

  269. to John 8, verse 31, 32 Jesus, Preaching, one of his masterful

    John 8:31

  270. messages, he said in John 8:31-32.

    John 8:31–32

  271. He said, if you continue in my word, Then are you my disciples?

  272. And you shall know the truth and the truth shall set.

  273. You free share with your friends, share with your family.

  274. Make sure you yield to the things that are true and you

  275. will be saved. If if Jesus said if you continue

  276. in my word then are you my disciples and you shall know the

  277. truth and the truth shall set you free if they condition a

  278. word. And the condition that you

  279. continue in my word, then you're my disciple and you will know

  280. the truth and the truth will set you free.

  281. My dear friends, you know, your life better than I do.

  282. You don't have to try to persuade me.

  283. You're right, you need to know within yourself, you're right.

  284. And you're right before God Almighty, and you can know that

  285. if you continue following his word, if you continue in my

  286. word, Jesus said, then you're my disciple.

  287. Now, I'll tell you something. If you're not following his

  288. word, you're not a faithful disciple.

  289. Now that Might Sting but that is the truth.

  290. You there such a thing as the Bible talks about blotted out

  291. your name out of the Lamb's Book of Life, how terrible it would

  292. be for you to have salvation in the palm of your hand.

  293. I wanted to let it just drift away and get away from you

  294. because Satan is put something before you that you've chosen to

  295. yield to my new friends. Stay faithful to the end all the

  296. way to the end, eternal life. Your home.

  297. Well, you know, as you continue to think, I don't want to follow

  298. men. You look at John 14 and verse 6

  299. and Jesus made it abundantly clear.

  300. No ifs, no ands, no buts. Jesus said in John 14 verse 6 at

    John 14:6

  301. this location. Speaking to his Apostles, he

  302. said I want you to know, I am the way.

  303. I am the truth, I am the life. No man comes to the father but

  304. by me Me. Wow, that's a powerful passage.

  305. I love John 14, John 15 and John 16 where Jesus is talking to his

  306. Apostles and he was really consoling them you know.

  307. As a matter of fact if you take a look at John 14 verses 1

    John 14:1–3

  308. through 3. Those are the passengers you

  309. here at many or most funerals. And it's vital to haven't used

  310. had a funeral but the occasion that it was given with Jesus

  311. consoling, his Apostles about his departure, what Jesus said

  312. to them, let not your heart be troubled.

  313. Do you believe in God believe? Also in me in my father's house,

  314. he said there are many mansions. If it were not so I would have

  315. told you, I go to prepare your place and if I go, I will come

  316. again that where I am there. You may be also Don't you know

  317. that automatically right off the bat?

  318. Relax, the apostles. They were very alarmed in that

  319. kind of upset because Jesus and said I'm going to leave and

  320. there's only very few verses that he said, I'm the way I am

  321. the truth. I am the life you stay following

  322. me and heaven will be your home and John 17.

  323. He prayed for those Apostles, I mentioned, I love reading John

  324. 14, John 15, and John 16. Those are three chapters for the

  325. Lord is consoling. His fossils about his departure

  326. and then and John 17. He praised, he praised the

  327. mighty prayer and if many of your Bibles will have

  328. subheadings Some version was say, Jesus prayed for himself.

  329. Geez, the pray for his current of disciple mean an apostle and

  330. then Jesus prayed for future Apostle, our future disciples

  331. but someone worded differently, but he, if you break that prayer

  332. into three categories, he began for praying for himself.

  333. He begins with O Father. Glorify, thou me with thine own

  334. self, which I had with thee before the world was Verse 5,

  335. wow. Jesus said I'm ready to come

  336. home. Dad, I'm ready to come home.

  337. Father, I want to be with you. I wanted to be like he was

  338. between me and you before the world was I'm ready to come

  339. back. He was nearing his death and is

  340. ready. John 17 is truly The Lord's

  341. Prayer. Many people like to go over to

  342. Matthew 6, verse 9 through 13. Our Father, which art in heaven,

    Matthew 6:9–13

  343. Hallowed, be thy name. Great passage of scripture and

  344. they said, that's the Lord's Prayer.

  345. And in school, I'm back in our days, in school back before you,

  346. you couldn't have a Bible and you couldn't have prayer.

  347. We recited that prayer every morning.

  348. Stood up, we had to stand up beside our desk and we would

  349. recite that every morning and it wasn't a Christian School to the

  350. puppet School. And then we would salute the

  351. flag, and that's just kind of a morning routine.

  352. My dear friends, listen times have changed, and you just can't

  353. hardly do that anymore, not without some difficulty, but I

  354. love it. When I know that people are

  355. still staying the course and talking to people about

  356. spiritual things. Well, in John 17 verse 20 and 21

    John 17:20

  357. when Jesus was praying for The Apostle and fourteen fifteen

  358. sixteen, he spoke words of comfort and then pray to God

  359. Almighty for his Apostles. He said I pray that you'll all

  360. be one as thou art with me. I want you to be one.

  361. He said I want my future disciple, the Hue.

  362. And that is me that we're one that will tell you what a church

  363. unified is priceless. Total Priceless a church in

  364. constant disarray constant fussing and fighting and feuding

  365. and people mad at somebody for this, that of the other for

  366. doing something or not doing something on and on it goes that

  367. can be disruptive to the growth and the maturity of a

  368. congregation. Everybody get ahold of this now.

  369. Jesus, I pray that all the future decide would be one.

  370. Just not the father and the son are one.

  371. When tell you something, however, you whatever number you

  372. place on your membership. However, number it is, that's

  373. the number is great. I won't tell you sir, every

  374. member men and women, Boys and girls.

  375. Everybody. It is their duty to promote

  376. peace and Harmony in the church. It takes everybody in the

  377. congregation to have the Oneness that Jesus talked about in John

  378. 17. And do you know what it takes on

  379. a one person to file that up only one person, somebody got up

  380. on the wrong side of the bed and they going to take it out on

  381. somebody else and and here they go.

  382. Mouthing off and popping off and making somebody feel terrible.

  383. And then you've dominoed one down to two and then it goes to

  384. 3 to 4 and then people began to take sides and and he just

  385. Begins to go downhill fast. It takes everybody to be

  386. peaceful and provide Harmony. One person is all it takes to

  387. create a division or problem. My friends, don't you ever dare

  388. become that one person? Keep your name written in the

  389. Book of Life. Keep your name written in heaven

  390. and make sure that you are not responsible for a problem Jesus.

  391. Pray that the Apostle will be one.

  392. He prayed for future. Disciple would be one.

  393. Let's continue on here first rather than one of her sin.

  394. Wow. And this passage of scripture,

  395. the Apostle Paul is writing a troubled congregation The

  396. congregation a car rent. And before we thump on them too

  397. much, let us understand that church and car.

  398. Rent was a newly established congregation.

  399. It was in a town of 600. Current thousand people over a

  400. half. A million people made up the

  401. city of car rent. And there are a bunch of

  402. different cultures within that, but they didn't have not have a

  403. church that did not have a faith for congregation.

  404. And what Paul said, I'm a rotten heart of there and I'm going to

  405. stab his church, they need the Lord.

  406. And the first Trend in chapter 1, after Paul had established,

  407. this great work, you can read about that in Acts 18, we're not

  408. take the time to do that right now, they wrote them a letter

  409. and there was division in the grouping.

  410. There's much. I can preach about First

  411. Corinthians. What would you can?

  412. Look at verse 10. if you're with me first thing the 110 this is a

  413. powerful passage now I beseech you therefore brethren In the

  414. name of the Lord, Jesus Christ that you all speak, the same

  415. thing. Get a hold of that same thing,

  416. and that there be no divisions among you, but that ye be

  417. perfectly joined together and the same mind and in the same

  418. judgment. Now, if you write in your Bible,

  419. you might want to underline the same thing.

  420. Underline, no division. Underlying perfectly joined

  421. together. Underlying saying, mind

  422. underlying science saying judgment, that one verse is

  423. power packed. It really helps us to

  424. understand. This is what the Lord's will is.

  425. It takes effort, genuine effort, it takes love and commitment to

  426. the Lord to do that and then all throughout First Corinthians.

  427. You know, First Corinthian is One of the most practical books

  428. of the New Testament. Really first strengthen, and

  429. James are considered to be the most to to most practical verse

  430. in the Bible. It does your problem and a

  431. solution, problem and solution. All the way through 1st

  432. Corinthians problem and solution.

  433. And it's wonderful, but and preach out of is either.

  434. But to breach out of I've held gospel meeting where every

  435. sermon wasn't first strengths and where you went, you know,

  436. situation by situation and learn what we could.

  437. And reminded that a problem here with their solution.

  438. If we have that problem, we need the same solution Today, in

  439. order to fulfill that prayer that Jesus, pray, we need to be

  440. of the same mind. The same Accord, the same

  441. judgment, and we need to really follow that now.

  442. Second Corinthians 13 and verse 5, the Apostle Paul wrote The

  443. Church of Corinth. First Corinthians, 16 chapters

  444. second Corinthians, 13 chapter. That's 29 chapters.

  445. He wrote to the Church of car rent.

  446. Now these letters were separate for shrimp is Sacrament.

  447. The mm by the wasn't long after he wrote.

  448. First one that wrote the second one.

  449. But he said in Chapter 13 Verse 5, which is the very last

  450. chapter of sankranthi and he said, examine yourselves,

  451. whether ye be in the faith, prove yourself know yourself how

  452. Jesus Christ is in you, except you be reprobate.

  453. The word reprobate, simply means unable to stand or passed the

  454. test. Examine yourself.

  455. Prepare yourself, know yourself. Listen, you've got to examine

  456. yourself and know yourself, prove yourself OPP, just get all

  457. wrinkled up. She's anyway, you got to prove

  458. yourself. People.

  459. Don't like that. But, you know what?

  460. The Bible talks about that you need to take an inventory of

  461. your life. Examine it.

  462. Prove it and know yourself. You know what before you can

  463. really ever really know yourself.

  464. Self. You've got exactly himself and

  465. prove yourself. Then you can really know

  466. yourself. All right.

  467. Second, Peter 2, verse 1. Now we can turn to a another

  468. thought of what happens. When people follow men.

  469. Let's look at second Peter 2 1 and then when go to First Char

  470. and 4 verse 1 and revelation 22 and I want to just simply show

  471. you that the Lord addressed the fact that he was fully aware of

  472. the fact and second They're 21. They're be false prophets out

  473. there, he was. So, there should be false

  474. teachers among you second, Peter, 2 wine.

  475. And in first sign for one there to be false Spirits out there

  476. and revelation 22 verse 2. There will be false Apostles,

    Revelation 22:2

  477. even during the day of the writing of John, he said to the

  478. church at Ephesus, there's false apostles who claim to be

  479. Apostles that or not. And found those men to be Liars.

  480. My dear friends, you've got to stand up and be firm.

  481. You've got to stand up and get a dust at the Lord, however,

  482. rugged or however, a smooth, a person, maybe and explaining

  483. whatever they want to explain you.

  484. Put you compare to book chapter verse in the Bible.

  485. I love it. When people ask me, why don't

  486. you do this a lot to say, well, because of the authority given

  487. to us by the Lord. And it's from Heaven is not from

  488. man. Man, I love taking them right

  489. back to Matthew 21, many question.

  490. I believe I could say most questions, people asked, I would

  491. go to Matthew 21 and let's turn over here.

  492. Let me show you. You go to Matthew 21 and

  493. established by what Authority and who gave you this Authority.

  494. I've got several lessons that when I'm preaching on

  495. establishing Bible Authority and such like I'm a began here but

  496. then I take off down another path and and Can you own show on

  497. the importance of scripture but that's not what this meeting is

  498. designed to do and so tonight will be the only lesson on that.

  499. Well where do people go? If they don't follow Heaven,

  500. that is God. And Jesus, and they go to

  501. following man. Many people say, well let all of

  502. that. My current just be my God.

  503. All right, look at that. 23 verse.

  504. Okay, let's take a look at that because what people say today,

  505. you've heard it, you've heard it.

  506. Most of you've all heard it. If you've been involved in

  507. personal work at all, you've heard it.

  508. People saying we'll listen it doesn't hurt my conscience at

  509. all or do this or do that. The Apostle, Paul wrote these

  510. words and Paul lagrone heard about Paul I should say and Paul

  511. earnestly at 23, verse one right here.

  512. Here that's 23 verse 1 and Paul earnestly beholding the capsule.

  513. He said men and Brethren. I have lived in all good

  514. conscience before God until this day.

  515. Wow, if you take time to read out 23, you see Paul standing

  516. before the council defending himself.

  517. He said, I want you to know I've lived in all good conscience but

  518. he's going to betray him to them how he has sinned.

  519. How he was wrong. Listen.

  520. Just because something does not bother your conscience does not

  521. mean it's okay. It doesn't mean that at all, you

  522. know why, the Bible talks about it?

  523. And first 10242 that people can have their conscience seared

  524. with a hot iron Them tell you something.

  525. Now, this is very pointed, very direct but I'm going to say it

  526. because this needs to be heard and you need to be reminded of

  527. this. I'm sure you've heard it before,

  528. but you need to be reminded of this and I do too, if you commit

  529. a sin, whatever that sin is something you say, something you

  530. do places, you go, whatever the sin is the first time you do it.

  531. I mean, they just all managers hurt your conscious and

  532. something terribly. But the next time it's not quite

  533. as bad, the third time, not near as bad, and that's saying the

  534. new. I could commit that sin and it

  535. doesn't bother me anymore. That's when you get really

  536. scared. Because I can commit sin, I can

  537. lie and they don't bother me anymore.

  538. I can be immoral and that doesn't bother me anymore

  539. because I've done it so much. Whenever you get to the point

  540. that you commit sin and it doesn't bother you anymore.

  541. My dear friends, you better get your ducks in order.

  542. Are you going to go to hell? It is a problem and it's a

  543. problem. We've got to come to grips with

  544. just two called the death of all that your conscious doesn't mean

  545. God has said, oh good boy a good girl, know if you can commit a

  546. sin and it doesn't bother you. You've got to stand up, and let

  547. the devil know you're not going to take me to hell.

  548. I'm going to follow Jesus and I want to repent of my sin.

  549. I'm going to confess my faults and I'm going to have prayer.

  550. I'm a member of the family of God, I want my name right back.

  551. I can Outlast bugs of life. I want my name written in heaven

  552. and I'm going to turn my back on.

  553. Satan. I'm turn my back on sin.

  554. I'm turning my back on evil and I'm going to press on So, I

  555. asked if you examine yourself, like we've already read and make

  556. sure you don't have sin in your life that you think.

  557. I'm just going to pretend it's not there.

  558. No, no. You got to get rid of it, get

  559. rid of it. Okay, some people.

  560. So, I want to just follow the religion, my forefathers, my

  561. parents, my grandparents, my great-grandparents and whoever

  562. You know, the Apostle Paul laid out so abundantly, clear and

  563. Jesus. Did Jesus said in John Ford, 23

  564. and 24. Paul did, and Galatians 1 and 14

  565. showing the other religion of your forefathers is okay, if it

  566. was okay, but if it was not okay, you got to make a change

  567. when Paul and Grayson 114, he talked about how the religion of

  568. his forefathers, what he was doing Paul was not intending to

  569. be mean spirited when they put Steve in the death or assisted

  570. in that, that's the first record we have a Paul.

  571. He was known as Saul acts 7 + 58.

  572. When they were stoning Stephen to death, they laid their coats

  573. out of young man's feet back. 758 whose name was Saul.

  574. That's the first time we find him, mentioned in the New

  575. Testament. That's all later.

  576. Became the Apostle Paul and he said he's, I've lived in all

  577. Good conscience before God until this day.

  578. But once he saw the light, literally saw the light and Acts

    Acts 9 chapter mention

  579. chapter 9, or did he ever make a change?

  580. And he was so quick to say, Lord, what we have me to do.

  581. He was ready not to follow the religion of it for fathers by

  582. default of God. I want you to know today, you

  583. need to believe what you believe because you know the Bible

  584. teaches that Be thankful to your father in Heaven.

  585. If you were raised in a Christian home, someone took the

  586. introducing you to tell you the truth of the young person and

  587. you obey the gospel. Stay the course to you and our

  588. assembly who are first generation Christians.

  589. And by that I mean your parents and your grandparents and maybe

  590. Aunts Uncles, nieces and nephew. They're not members of the

  591. Lord's church but you are congratulations.

  592. You've taken a difficult path but you where you ought to be in

  593. the Lord's Church. And he's done, always easy

  594. because your family may want to go do this or do that.

  595. You said well I can but I'll be home before on be home for the

  596. Lord, stay on to be home for worship.

  597. You can always follow the religion of your family, is the

  598. religion of your family strong. Paul was Paul, the Apostle was

  599. an educated man. He was so educating.

  600. He was educated under doctor Gamaliel, who the doctor of the

  601. law? But he was a wise man.

  602. And when he found out his wrong, he saw quick ways to change

  603. that. The religion, the majority old

  604. man. That's what some people want.

  605. Especially if their business medical doctors, I've heard

  606. medical doctor said, well, I go to the church Downtown, you

  607. know, the big whatever XYZ church because that's where the

  608. business is. He can draw businesses way.

  609. We had one telling us that before, that's why I go there.

  610. Jesus let me make known just cause majorities do.

  611. It does not make it right. Most people be lost.

  612. Few people be saved, Matthew 7:13 and 14.

    Matthew 7:13

  613. Oh many people follow Creed books, and catechisms and other

  614. writings of, man. I don't follow who rises from

  615. God. In Matthew 15 verse 9.

    Matthew 15:9

  616. In Colossians 2 verse 21 in Isaiah 55, verse 8, and verse 9.

    Colossians 2:21 Isaiah 55:8

  617. It teaches you that. Any other writers is not in the

  618. writings of God. Touch not taste not handle or

  619. not. Isaiah said my thoughts are not

  620. your thoughts. Neither are your ways.

  621. My ways saith the Lord as the heavens are higher than the

  622. earth. So are my ways higher than your

  623. ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.

  624. Don't follow man, that's your deal.

  625. Do not follow man. Feel free to always ask.

  626. Whoever the brother is is teaching.

  627. You know, if there's some point that's made that you have never

  628. heard before or you want to think about About.

  629. After the book chapter verse and make sure you stay true to the

  630. scriptures. We're establishing.

  631. What is the authority Who Came From Above?

  632. Jesus Christ, is the solution. You remember that question and

  633. are attached by what Authority do you do these things and who

  634. gave you that authority? Jesus said in Matthew 28 and 18.

  635. All authority is given to me in heaven and in Earth.

  636. That wasn't hard for the Lord of answered, but he knew at that

  637. moment, he needed to take a different approach.

  638. John 12:48 the words that I have spoken, they're going to judge

    John 12:48

  639. you in the last day, you know, in your Bible.

  640. Read it study it obey, it being a student of the word.

  641. You may just read a few verses each day.

  642. But met at the Bible says, meditate upon them because in

  643. the final day, we're going to be judged was written in this book.

  644. We're going to be judged by that, and if your name is

  645. written, in the Lamb's Book of Life, if your name is written in

  646. heaven, it's because you've obey this word, if you Nah baby, it's

  647. not there. I ask you today.

  648. Please consider your Eternal Soul of where you are.

  649. Are you ready to meet your maker if today were then to the world

  650. would Heaven be your home of Jesus?

  651. Say to you, I'm sorry, but the part, I don't know.

  652. You depart for me. I've never known you.

  653. Oh, how sad of Warriors that is. But on the flip side well done

  654. thou good and faithful servant you've been wise over a few

  655. things and I'll make you ruler over many things.

  656. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord.

  657. I love that. But let me tell you what?

  658. Well done, thou good and faithful servant.

  659. The only way to ever hear that. It should be a good and faithful

  660. servant. It's overweight ever hear it?

  661. You're never hear. Jesus.

  662. Say, well, he's a good old boy. Go ahead and say it.

  663. No, no, you've got to be good and faithful to stay in the

  664. Lamb's Book of Life. If you're ready to meet your

  665. maker, God bless you. And if you're not get right

  666. tonight, you've heard the word today.

  667. Believe it. Repent of your sin to confess a

  668. beautiful name of Jesus. I believe that Jesus Christ is

  669. the Son of God. Be buried in baptism, washes

  670. away, your sins. The Lord added to the church

  671. daily, such as should be saved. We thank you for listening to
