  1. Tonight, I'd like to begin our series of meetings with sermon

  2. about God. God is had a rough go the last

  3. few years as far as its crunchy is concerned.

  4. There are many people who no longer have respect or adoration

  5. Aria reverence for God and I'm sorry to say there are people

  6. within the Lord's House who do not appreciate who God is.

  7. So I'm going to take our time tonight.

  8. We're going to talk about who God is.

  9. We're going to talk about the character of God.

  10. God. And I'm going to stress the idea

  11. over and over again because I think this is what we make our

  12. mistake. God is not like, man, he's not

  13. like us, we're not like him. And I think I'm any times we get

  14. to thinking that we're like God, or he's like us.

  15. Anytime you do that, you're going to make a terrible mistake

  16. because that's not the way that God is.

  17. I'm going to use five little words.

  18. I've written up here on the board and these five words are

  19. getting up this. They all begin with the middle

  20. for letter prefix. Om in Now mni is the word Omni

  21. and it just means all. What are we talking about?

  22. God is all of it. Now that is without restrictions

  23. he's all of it. I began to think about this

  24. lesson sometime ago and the reason I did I had the

  25. opportunity to study with a young man who was a preacher

  26. want to be and we were studying a particular verse and I

  27. happened to look up at him and just at the right time.

  28. Time or maybe just at the wrong time, and he had his eyes roll

  29. back in his head. It was obvious of all we were

  30. talking about God. He just didn't believe it.

  31. I don't, I don't even want to start in on that went across me

  32. at that second because it was something, which is the most

  33. aggravating thing I had to deal with in a long time.

  34. The very idea that somebody could question what God can do.

  35. So I decided, you know, we need to know better than that.

  36. I'll tell you what it was in more detail when I get to it.

  37. Here it again in a few minutes. Going to use.

  38. For those of you that like to read along, it'll be easy.

  39. We're going to use the 139th Psalm as a basis for our study.

  40. First one, Oh, Lord, that I searched me and known me that

  41. Louis, my down settings, in my uprisings, they understand my

  42. thoughts afar off. Now, that's just a little

  43. introduction. And we're going to talk about

  44. God before we do though, we want to use our privilege of prayer.

  45. We're going to ask you if you will do yourself in some

  46. fashion, while the brother slept in words of prayer, I find in

  47. general and this country anyway, that most of our society has

  48. lost its concern about God. And you know what also

  49. understand that That this nation is exceptional compared to the

  50. rest of the world. The rest of the world, for the

  51. most part, has no use for God whatsoever, but our country

  52. which we used to be able to say, was a God-fearing country is no

  53. longer that. Nowadays, we find that there are

  54. many people who didn't do, everything they possibly can to

  55. do away with the concept of God. Sadly, these people, if they try

  56. hard enough, will convince themselves that there is no God.

  57. I'd like to talk about this idea a little bit this evening and

  58. showed you how mayonnaise. Degraded God and brought God

  59. down to his level and that's a tragedy when you begin to do

  60. that. I find out.

  61. That the very name of God, nowadays is used by many people

  62. as nothing more than a bad word, people curse.

  63. And swear to the name of God, the Old Testament and Leviticus

  64. and it chapter verse 12 says, you shall not swear by my name.

  65. Falsely, neither shall thy profane, the name of thy God.

  66. I am the Lord, the word profane. If you just look up it up,

  67. dictionary means literally to use with a reverence with

  68. Contempt to pollute. And here's the bad one to make

  69. common. What do you do when you use the

  70. name of God? Just as a Bible word when you

  71. swear and curse for the name of God, you have for all practical

  72. purposes made God common and God is most uncommon.

  73. It is something which we begin to think that we are like God,

  74. you're not find that there are people on the television.

  75. We see them from time to time. So call Comedians and they laugh

  76. and scoff at the idea of God, I don't know how you feel about

  77. that, but you know what? They want to be standing next to

  78. a person who's ridiculing, the idea of God, I wouldn't want to

  79. be anywhere around somebody like that, and it's very common for

  80. us to see things after that, press people who ridicule.

  81. God, there are those who have no respect or adoration for God

  82. whatsoever, one night, and several years ago, quite a long

  83. time ago. Now, I was coming home from a

  84. gospel meeting somewhere way law in the middle of the night and I

  85. was listening to the radio and And I'm a big talk show, radio

  86. person. And back in those days.

  87. There was a radio station in Del Rio.

  88. Texas at about 10:00 or 11:00 at night, it would come on.

  89. Now, soon learned that this is sort of an outlaw station.

  90. They had their transmitter over and Old Mexico and they had

  91. their programmer or the office over the in the United States.

  92. The reason for that is in Old Mexico.

  93. They could do anything they wanted to do, and that

  94. transmitter come on, they just blow everybody out of the air

  95. and they would go All night long, you could hear anything

  96. you wanted to hear. If you just stay tuned.

  97. Well, I was staying tuned and this person had a talk show and

  98. he had a woman on there as a guest.

  99. And this woman ran a house of prostitution, you know, they

  100. were letting people call in and they were just he hollered and

  101. having a big thing out of this. They'd call it a talk to this

  102. woman and she was gross and she ridicule everything.

  103. That was holy and upright and I'm riding along everything

  104. head. When is somebody going to call

  105. in? In and call her hand on this.

  106. Well, finally, some little woman called me in and she said, what

  107. do you think God thinks about the business you're in?

  108. And you know what? I'm ready to say.

  109. Yeah, whoo. There's somebody out there.

  110. Who's a insulted by this? She said, what do you think God

  111. thinks about the business? You're in and I thought that I

  112. really gotta get back on that woman.

  113. You don't just that quick. I mean, she never even

  114. hesitated. She said, I don't care what God

  115. thinks about my business. He could take care of his

  116. business and Take care of mine. I thought you know it's the way

  117. people think that woman had no white oration of God, she had no

  118. reverence respect for God. She didn't care what he thought

  119. and I find that that's a general attitude, that a lot of people

  120. have already told you about the little preacher.

  121. Want to be rolled his eyes up in his head because he didn't think

  122. God could do what we were talking about.

  123. I'm afraid that we've missed the character of God because you

  124. know it is something that we want to be pretty important

  125. ourselves and I'm going to Try to illustrate this.

  126. Just a little bit as we go along.

  127. I'm going to begin again there. In Psalms 39 at verse 1, O,

  128. Lord, thou searched me and known me that.

  129. I know it's my down sittings and my Uprising there understands my

  130. thought afar all of their compasses, my path and my lying

  131. down and art acquainted with all my ways for there's not a word

  132. of my tongue but low Lord thou knowest it all together.

  133. Now, what is this? Well this is the one up here on

  134. Top. This is Omni all-omniscient.

  135. Omniscient. Yeah.

  136. He is all-knowing, God knows everything.

  137. There is nothing that he doesn't know and when I began to study

  138. on that, I thought now what does that mean?

  139. He knows my uprisings, he knows my sitting down, he knows what I

  140. lay down, you know, that must be something figured him, there

  141. must be some hidden meaning to that.

  142. So I studied and I studied not try to find out exactly what the

  143. education was and you to what I discovered I discovered that God

  144. knows when you said and he knows when you get up he knows

  145. everything about is simple things like that.

  146. This is not some hidden meaning. It is just the idea that God

  147. knows all about us and everybody else.

  148. It is something which again is illustrated by these first four

  149. verses that I just read, he understands my thoughts, afar

  150. off the, I don't know what you're thinking about.

  151. And believe me, I don't want to know, I'd like to thank that

  152. everybody here, your minds, just rapped on everything I'm saying.

  153. Now, I doubt that is the case, like I say, I would like for

  154. that to be the case, but whatever you're thinking about,

  155. God knows it. And here's the catch to this, he

  156. understand. If your thoughts are far off,

  157. the next thought that hasn't run through your head, yet he

  158. already knows it. In other words, he prinos

  159. everything you're going to think about this is something which

  160. you have a street. To me, God has an ability that

  161. you and I can't even think about.

  162. He knows our thoughts. Afar off the Bible, says he

  163. compasses my path. You know what a compass is?

  164. Don't you a compass? Is an ancient piece of

  165. equipment. Basically, all the compass does

  166. is show yet north magnetic door to be exactly.

  167. Are this little needle? It's in this watch.

  168. Look at thing. Is spins around and eventually

  169. Point straight to North. Now the understanding is if you

  170. know which way North is, then you don't know, east west And

  171. South and you can calculate your direction that away.

  172. Well, the Bible says God, he Kappa compasses my way.

  173. You know, I have people tell me all the time, especially young

  174. people were several young people in this audience.

  175. Maybe you've thought about this, too?

  176. I don't know what I'm doing. I don't know what I'm here for.

  177. I don't know what I'm supposed to be doing.

  178. I'm just sort of wandering around through life.

  179. Well, you know, you may not know what you're doing and doing or

  180. where you're heading, but God does he is aware of you.

  181. He knows the direction you're taking and he is acquainted with

  182. all of our ways, the Bible says, this is something which God

  183. knows he understandeth. The words of my tongue again, I

  184. don't know why you preachers and teachers in the audience with

  185. you ever had. The experience that I have.

  186. I have an experience once in a while.

  187. I appreciate myself into a corner and Darlene who robs me

  188. about this, she'd knows, whatever happens.

  189. And she'll tell me after Services, you just couldn't wait

  190. to hear what you had to say next, could you, I was at a loss

  191. for thought. I wasn't for sure what I was

  192. going to say, but God knows who He knew what I was going to say

  193. before I said it. You see, he knows things like

  194. this. Again, I would ask you this, as

  195. I draw this idea, down to a close and by the way, each one

  196. of these is going to have a summary done to end.

  197. Does it hold any intimidation to you to be dealing with a God who

  198. knows, more about you than, you know about yourself?

  199. You know, the Bible uses indications like this one,

  200. Matthew 10 verse 30, the very hairs of your head are all

    Matthew 10:30

  201. numbered. Now, you know, we have me in who

  202. have bushy heads, With lots of hair on their head, we have men

  203. who have moderate sized about a hair on their head.

  204. We have some who have a little, we have some who have less.

  205. There was one person. Lord's Church who didn't have

  206. it? Not, what Harold his whole body

  207. is that important? Well, some people it is but it's

  208. really not the important thing is God knows how many hairs are

  209. on your head. The idea is he wants you to

  210. understand, he knows about you, he knows how many hairs are all

  211. in your head. Now, you know, I'll find out

  212. that this is intimidating, as far as I'm concerned, it is

  213. something which allows me to understand that God knows

  214. everything about me, all the Shams, and all the hypocrisies

  215. and all the put on. And all the fronts he sees right

  216. through those things. You know, we may deceive each

  217. other, occasionally we made. See people are on a regular

  218. basis but you don't see God. He's not seed, he knows the real

  219. you. Unlike anybody else?

  220. God knows you. And I find this is our little

  221. summary man. Who on many occasions has gotten

  222. too smart for God, is dealing with a God who knows more about

  223. him than he does about himself. God knows everything.

  224. Let's go again verse 7. Whither, shall I go from thy

  225. Spirit are whither? Shall I flee from thy presence?

  226. If I Ascend up into heaven? Thou Art there, if I make my bed

  227. in hell, behold Thou Art there. If I take the wings of the

  228. morning and One of the other most parts of the sea.

  229. Even there shall die. And leave me and thy right hand

  230. shall hold a now. What does he say?

  231. He says, if I go off into Heaven, There are clear.

  232. What are we talking about? Nadia is Omni present your.

  233. That means. He's everywhere.

  234. He's omnipresent. The writer says, if I went out

  235. into heaven and you know, the Bible uses heaven in three ways

  236. there is a heaven which is this atmosphere around us that were

  237. said of your breathing? That that's the first habit.

  238. There's a second, heaven is just what we called outer space.

  239. And then there's another heaven where God lives, I believe the

  240. psalmist is talking about, the idea of what we call, outer

  241. space are the universe. And when I went to school, I was

  242. a science major, I love science. But I didn't care anything about

  243. the idea of the study, the moon, and the stars, and the universe

  244. and the planets, and I just wasn't interested in astrology.

  245. Nothing, nothing whatsoever. Astronomy is the word I should

  246. use. I wasn't interested in that, but

  247. you don't want to got to read anything about this lesson.

  248. I went back and looked again and it is amazing.

  249. This universe that you and I live Ian and the thing, which

  250. first got my attention, it was something that happened a few

  251. years ago out in Mount Pleasant. Mark, California is the world's

  252. largest telescope and there are scientists out there who are a

  253. regular basis, look out in space through this telescope.

  254. And the best time to look is a dark night one dark night.

  255. They had this telescope strain and out into the universe, and

  256. it got it. Wound down to the highest power

  257. they could get. You know what?

  258. They sought another planet a planet past Pluto.

  259. Now, when I went to school, the first find out there was Pluto,

  260. there's another planet past Pluto, so they tied her down a

  261. little bit more. You know what?

  262. This all they saw another planet past the planet past Pluto.

  263. And I'm convinced if they ever get that painting sharp enough

  264. and powerful enough, there's no telling what they'll see out

  265. there. It is, unbelievable, outer

  266. space. It is something which man is

  267. just beginning to think about? And yet the Bible says if I were

  268. able to go out there the furthest reaches ever have o

  269. Thou Art there. Now, I want to emphasize, right,

  270. right here. I'll say it again in a minute

  271. notice it says God Thou Art there.

  272. Not his influence, not his word, he is there.

  273. All right. He says, if I went out to the

  274. ends of the ocean, I don't know how much David seen the ocean.

  275. I'm sure he'd seen a Mediterranean Sea.

  276. You probably been to the ocean or you've been to some big lake

  277. and you know, if you look at the Horizon a big lake, it just

  278. looks like it goes on and on and on.

  279. He said, if I got out there to into this, this ocean Thou Art

  280. there and then he gets poetic about it.

  281. He said if I could take the wings of the morning, Couldn't

  282. get away from God. You know what, the wings of the

  283. morning are. Well I'll illustrate like this

  284. supposed next time you're out here in the country down on the

  285. lake or out somewhere where you can see the Horizon, you're

  286. waiting just for a few minutes to see the sun come up.

  287. It is just about time for the sun to come up and you're

  288. watching the Eastern Horizon and all of a sudden the sun peeks

  289. Over the Horizon. How does the light come across

  290. the Earth? Does it say?

  291. Here Comes Here Comes and get there goes Is that the way it

  292. does it? No, it didn't do it like that

  293. had supposed to night. I had a this room, totally dark.

  294. We're going to turn off all the lights and make it Pitch Black

  295. in here. And I've got a good strong

  296. flashlight and stand up here and I flip it on.

  297. How does light travel across this room?

  298. It says bitch and that bitch. Oh, bitch your honors flashes on

  299. the wall. Whoo.

  300. Whoo, it just hits along. How does it do that?

  301. Well, it travels with the wings of the morning, You know what,

  302. the wings of the morning are, is the speed of light 186,000 miles

  303. per second. If I could run 186,000 miles per

  304. second, I couldn't get away from God.

  305. He'd be there. Now you see what this is telling

  306. us, he is there. And again I emphasize he did not

  307. say his influence, he did not see his word.

  308. He said Thou Art, there it is, here that the young preacher,

  309. wrote his eyes up. We were studying, Matthew 18:20

    Matthew 18:20

  310. and the Bible says, for where two or three are gathered

  311. together in my name? There am I in the midst of the

  312. And he didn't believe that. Now I'll tell y'all tonight we

  313. are gathered together here in the name of Jesus Christ, and

  314. he's here. Not as influence, not his word,

  315. he's here that made Oklahoma Riley of their meeting, same

  316. time, you know, he's there if they're me to guy anywhere else

  317. United States. He said, if they're meeting in

  318. Africa, use their, if they're meeting anywhere on the face of

  319. this Earth, he's there and don't you dare all your eyes up in

  320. your head. If you do, that means you just

  321. think God's like you are. And he's not like you are we

  322. find out that this is something that ridiculing scoffing, man,

  323. who occupies about 3 square feet.

  324. And of course this depends on how big you are before the

  325. compact you and how hard the compact you but it's me

  326. something about that. That's all we occupy is dealing

  327. with a God who occupies the universe.

  328. Again. I'm going to go on it, verse.

  329. 11. If I say surely the darkness

  330. shall cover me. Even the night shall be light

  331. about me. Yeah, the darkness I doth not

  332. from the him but tonight shineth is the day.

  333. The darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

  334. You know what that tells us God is Omni visual you season with

  335. us. He said, you know, didn't matter

  336. to God, which dark. He sees you, it's light.

  337. He sees you. You know what?

  338. Most of the crimes and most of the sins are committed in this

  339. world. They're committed at night.

  340. You know why they're committed night?

  341. Of course, we don't see good at night.

  342. Does that hinder God from seeing the crimes in the sins of man?

  343. Not at all. It doesn't make any difference.

  344. If it's not heard our day, it is all the same as far as he's

  345. concerned because he sees everything.

  346. Now, I'm going to add something to this, and this just keeps

  347. getting better. You look a little further on

  348. down. This is going to go with the

  349. same category. The psalmist said, my Summit, my

  350. substance was not hid from thee. When I was made in secret and

  351. curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth than eyes did

  352. see my substance yet being in perfect, and in thy book, all my

  353. members were written, which in continuance were fashioned when,

  354. as yet there was none of them, that sounds like a riddle,

  355. doesn't it? You know, what he's saying

  356. there? God saw me when I was nothing

  357. but the substance of a man, the substance of a human being.

  358. You know, I don't think the David knew anything about

  359. genetics but he wrote the inspiration and we have learned

  360. in the last few years that the what we are physically speaking.

  361. And mentally speaking is determined, by our genes big

  362. deal about that now and we talked about DNA and RNA You

  363. know, he uses the term where curiously wrought now, I'm not a

  364. Hebrew scholar, but I looked at up and it means that we are

  365. woven. We are curiously, woven in order

  366. to even being starts as a conception a system of ribbons.

  367. We've got these ribbons Mama furnishes.

  368. A half a day to encourage your staff and of these ribbons have

  369. got genetic codes all up and down.

  370. They tell you how tall you're going to be what color your hair

  371. is going to be more close. Your eyes going to be, I smart,

  372. you're going to be everything about you.

  373. Everything about you is on these ribbons that are woven.

  374. Together. I couldn't put that in layman's

  375. terms and do any better than that.

  376. And these things are written down, hundreds and hundreds of

  377. years. Before man ever had any concept

  378. of that the elements of a human being, you know, this is

  379. something again, which I have to take a little tangent on right

  380. here. We're living in a very sad time

  381. when literally hundreds of thousands of babies are killed

  382. before. They have a chance to be born.

  383. And you know, the people who believe this is, all right, and

  384. I'm amazed that United States, the pagans we got in this

  385. country is ready to kill their babies for their own

  386. convenience. That's all it amounts to this

  387. little thing that we abort. You know what, they call it.

  388. It's a baby. No, no, no.

  389. It's not her baby. It is a human being.

  390. No, it's not a human being this thing.

  391. We tear out of The Mamas woman. Throw it in the trash.

  392. Can it's a little boy. No, it's not a little boy.

  393. It's a little girl. And we sure don't do that to

  394. little girls. We love little girls.

  395. What is it? It is a fetus and they spit that

  396. word out like they're talking about Iraq.

  397. You know, what a fetus is, a fetus is a human being.

  398. It is a little boy or a little girl, it's a baby.

  399. The something I learned about this, what I'm studying about

  400. it. Y'all remember a few years ago

  401. the Surgeon General for the United States was dr.

  402. G Edward Coupe. Bless his heart, I meant to look

  403. up dr. Cooper for I preach this again,

  404. I forgot to, I don't know if he still lived or not, but dr.

  405. Koop said the only difference between a fetus and an adult He

  406. just a little time. Just a little time.

  407. And when it, when is he become a human being, and then people

  408. arguing it take his, has to take its first breath.

  409. And that's a, that's not true either.

  410. The Bible says, when I was nothing more than the substance,

  411. a human being God, wrote me down in his book.

  412. Lord and me, he wrote me down. He saw me when I was nothing but

  413. the substance human being that ought to call all of us to sit

  414. back on her haunches and think about that just a little bit,

  415. The Casual way in which the world treats our babies.

  416. It is something which is quite amazing far as I'm concerned.

  417. And they're going to be people who answer for that.

  418. Very thing. It is something which again and

  419. if you look up here I'll show you how this is.

  420. I'm going to use the front of this appropriate.

  421. Here's my Ian, see this corner out here.

  422. I'll just use my cell for an example.

  423. This is me. This is me when I was conceived

  424. in my mother's womb, when I was a substance, I'm a human being.

  425. You see this corner over here? That's me.

  426. You can you see that across there?

  427. That's the way God sees me if he wants to, he sees me for the

  428. time. I was conceived till I take my

  429. last breath on this earth. Now, let's get bigger than me.

  430. I started, you know we're in this corner this corner.

  431. Now is Genesis 1. Verse 1.

  432. In the beginning God created heaven and earth.

  433. That's it right there. See this corner over here.

  434. This is revelation 22. When the angel said it's done.

  435. Beginning to done, God, sees it all.

  436. He sees it all God sees everything and man who scarcely

  437. can see all the end of his nose is dealing with God.

  438. Who sees it all. Let's try another one, I'm going

  439. on a verse 14 we skipped over back up to verse 14.

  440. You see his, I will praise thee for, I am fearfully and

  441. wonderfully. Made marvelous are thy works and

  442. that my soul knoweth, right, well, And this is my favorite.

  443. One of these, God is omnipotent. Preach this wants when I first

  444. started preaching it. And after service is a teacher,

  445. came around to me. Now, don't misunderstand me.

  446. I love teachers don't like teachers are special calling,

  447. and there's nothing. Teachers would teachers can do

  448. wonderful things in people's lives.

  449. What a teacher came around to me, and she said, You made that.

  450. But up, by the way, she was an English teacher at even made

  451. better. She said you made that with us

  452. said, there's no such word as I mean, if he and I said, well, I

  453. appreciate the compliment. But when you get home, you look

  454. it up and she come back the next night and sheepish.

  455. And she said, yeah, you're right.

  456. That it is a word. You know what that word means?

  457. All creating God is all creating and he says, I am fearfully and

  458. wonderfully made. I am so are you?

  459. You know, we are distinguish. When all the rest of creation,

  460. we're not like inanimate objects, we're not like rocks

  461. and trees and the dirt, we're not like beasts and birds and

  462. fishes, we're not like creeping things.

  463. We're human beings. The human body is the crowning

  464. Glory of God's creative ability. There's nothing quite like a

  465. human body. That man.

  466. I've been studying the human body almost since the beginning

  467. of time, there are still studying the human body and you

  468. know, we have several MDS in the church now and they're not the

  469. only ones I've asked other doctors about this question.

  470. I said, what do you think about what you know about medicine now

  471. and they'll still say there's more?

  472. I don't know than I do know. Because the human body is a

  473. miracle, that's the best I can put it, it is a miracle and I

  474. believe I could describe it to you.

  475. Have you ever wondered why doctor say that they're

  476. practicing medicine? A doctor may have been doctored

  477. for 50 years but he still practicing medicine.

  478. Does that bother anybody? But me, you know, I've been

  479. preaching for this is going on 51 years and just to be honest I

  480. don't feel like a practicing tonight.

  481. But if a doctor's been working at Madison for 51 years, he's

  482. still practicing, now I'm just using this with the point.

  483. Don't misunderstand this, I had the greatest appreciation, the

  484. world for the medical profession, my family is full of

  485. nurses and so I appreciate it, but suppose you're sick and

  486. you're feeling really bad, battle have to go to the doctor.

  487. So you go to the doctor. Now, if your doctor's like mine,

  488. the first thing you have to do is diagnosed yourself.

  489. And get this, you're paying the big money to her and you're

  490. diagnosing yourself. Well, they diagnose, you you

  491. diagnose yourself and they say, yeah, you're pretty sick.

  492. I'm gonna write you a prescription and I'll call it

  493. down at Walmart and you go down and get it.

  494. Now, this little pricey this is $89 but is is good medicine.

  495. So you go get to $89 medicine and you take it for the week.

  496. At the end of that week, you are really sick.

  497. Now, you just thought you too, sick a week, Go.

  498. Now your re-secure feel so bad, you don't even want to go to the

  499. doctor. So you call down to the doctor

  500. and you tell him what's wrong. And he says, Well, we got to do

  501. something, throw all that medicine away, and I'll call you

  502. another one. Now, this was just $29.

  503. So you go get to $29 and you take $29 medicine, you take it

  504. for the week at the end of the week.

  505. You are genuine said, now you don't even feel like lift your

  506. head off the pillow. You don't even want to get up.

  507. So you cut get somebody to call for you and tell him what's

  508. going on Doctor. He's really gets excited now.

  509. He says well let's do something else.

  510. Said, go down there and get this medicine.

  511. It's just a $9 it maybe it'll work.

  512. So you go get there. Have somebody go get the nine

  513. dollar medicine you take it for a week and you're well now you

  514. two probably been well anyway in three weeks but you know what?

  515. The doctor does. The next time he sees somebody

  516. kind of like you were to start with, he gives them the nine

  517. dollar medicine. If it worked for you, maybe

  518. it'll work for somebody else. That's called practicing

  519. medicine. you know what, I find that the human body is awesome

  520. in a way, which was it confounds me, I was raised up BC now if

  521. you don't know what that is that's before computers and I

  522. was hanging around with some of the young preachers and they all

  523. had computers and they were showing me how they could bring

  524. up a, write a sermon and change it and move it around ad versus.

  525. And I thought oh that's wonderful and I got tapped me

  526. one of those. So finally I got brother Bill

  527. Curtis I don't know him or not he's a computer wizard who lived

  528. at more for a long time or Oklahoma.

  529. Emma. I talked to Bill, he said, yeah,

  530. well I'll get you one. I'll help you get started.

  531. So in about three months, he calls me.

  532. So you got your computer yet? No, no, I'm waiting.

  533. They get them. Thanks perfected.

  534. He said they won't ever get a perfect.

  535. It you just got to dive in so darling.

  536. And I went down and got us a computer and we bought a little

  537. bit. Yes to save it on and we set it

  538. on a desk. We walked around admiring it

  539. like two monkeys looking at the moon.

  540. We couldn't even turn this thing on.

  541. So we decided we needed to get some education so we went to

  542. college and we got a woman who was a computer teacher and she

  543. had a computer sitting up there. We could all see it and she was

  544. really into it as she been asking computer a question and

  545. then she would sit there and she'd sit there and Pat it while

  546. he was groaning and moaning and get the answer on the screen and

  547. she'd say he's really working in me and he was and we're all

  548. blown away, you know? Look what this thing can do.

  549. Well, I got home and struggle with hurt again.

  550. But I wasn't going to let the machine get the best of me.

  551. I decided, you know, this just can't happen after all.

  552. I have a brain and everything in that machine was put in there by

  553. a human brain. Your brain is wonderful.

  554. You ever seen a brain. Most of you seeing some kind of

  555. a brain. It is a human.

  556. Brain is about size of two fish and it's a real mushy fleshy

  557. material. It has all kinds of Of

  558. convolutions and wrinkles and in it and this brain, remembers

  559. everything you've ever done, you know, you can smell something,

  560. it brings back a memory. You can hear something, reminds

  561. you of something. You can see, something reminds

  562. you of something, you learn something.

  563. You think I need to know you can call it back, you don't have

  564. those that. What is it really easy.

  565. Apparently your brain. There are little up electrical

  566. poets. And you want to remember

  567. something it just fires around. Fans, unitherm World wrinkles

  568. and brings it up. Well really, it's not, the

  569. electrical is chemical. We got all those little chemical

  570. stations around on her brain and you're trying to think of

  571. something. And it's these chemicals are You

  572. know, I don't understand it, I have never been able to

  573. understand how you could store thought in a piece of meat.

  574. How is that possible? It is something that is a

  575. wondrous thing. You know, the simplest human

  576. mind is superior. The most complex computer.

  577. I'm going to ask you to all three questions.

  578. I don't want any show of hands or anything, but I would like to

  579. think about it, long as it takes.

  580. What's your first name? We got that.

  581. What state in the United States? Are we in?

  582. And how's the weather outside? Did you have any trouble?

  583. Those, I didn't either you're not going to get the answer.

  584. All those quick. As I could ask the questions.

  585. Did you hear any moaning and groaning, or no?

  586. We just knew the answers. Now, how was that possible for

  587. us to do? That is possible because we have

  588. a brain that God gave us Man is never duplicated it.

  589. He is used it for many, good things, but the human mind is

  590. unbelievable. You know, furthermore, I find

  591. out that man has never created anything.

  592. You know, what word create means it means to make out of nothing.

  593. There's a lot of brouhaha going around nowadays about cloning

  594. and I understand, they put on the little sheep, I believe they

  595. did. I think they clone some dogs, I

  596. believe. They probably did that but you

  597. know how they put on that little sheep.

  598. Did they close that little sheep?

  599. Make it out of nothing? No, you know what they had to

  600. have to start with they had to have a living cell and I

  601. influence emphasize the idea of living that cell from that

  602. little sheep had to be living who put to life in that little

  603. cell some scientists know. God is on and do that.

  604. And that little sell out of that little that sheep was put it a

  605. little petri dish and encouraged to grow.

  606. And it grew. Like they wanted it to It.

  607. Produced another sheep. Now, what vandu fed living cell,

  608. that's all he did. Who gave the life God did.

  609. I won't go on record right now as saying man and all of his

  610. wisdom will never create anything.

  611. You'll never create anything, man.

  612. All of his wisdom will never give life to the smallest,

  613. little one cell organism. He'll never do that because

  614. that's not something man can do. Now hear things about, you know,

  615. it's artificial life you ever think about that?

  616. That's one of those oxymorons, like, jumbo shrimp, there's no

  617. such thing as artificial life. It's either Libor, it's not,

  618. that's all. There is to that.

  619. We hear people talk about different types of life.

  620. Only God can give life man and all of his worldly wisdom.

  621. As we said is never created one atom of anything.

  622. He has never given life to the simplest little one cell

  623. organism and he never will God gives life God creates last of

  624. all for tonight. Verse 17.

  625. How precious also are thy thoughts on Me O.

  626. God. How great is our?

  627. Some of them I love you. This is the word omnipotent.

  628. You know what that means? All powerful.

  629. He is not limited to knowing everything are being everywhere

  630. are seeing everything are created.

  631. Every thing he is all-powerful Almighty, you know, right here.

  632. And I've thought about this a lot, I have been listening to

  633. our Brethren, pray for a long time.

  634. And you know, I understand by the prayer of example Jesus gave

  635. us that it's a proper thing to begin our prayers by praising

  636. God, you remember that. And they the prayer that Jesus

  637. gave, he said, Hallowed be thy name.

  638. Another word Holy Is Thy Name. I really there's a lot of ways

  639. to open your prayers and our you as our brethren.

  640. We know how to open a prayer to God.

  641. We could speak to him. In terms that we praise him and

  642. praise His name, but it seems to me like our old brother and used

  643. to pray a whole lot to God almighty Our almighty God, I

  644. rarely hear that anymore. What's wrong with getting down

  645. on your knees and seeing our almighty God.

  646. Why is that hard? If it is, is that hard, I think

  647. it's hard sometimes because we think we're pretty Almighty

  648. ourselves. Why is it hard to say, almighty

  649. God? It may not be for you.

  650. Some people, I believe it is, God is Almighty.

  651. When Jesus was here on this Earth.

  652. In Matthew the eighth chapter, he ran up on a Roman Centurion.

  653. Now, you know, I wrote the book, the commentary on the book of

  654. Acts, and I got to know him several centurions every single

  655. Center in, in the New Testament is a man of ethics and

  656. principle. I believe you had to be that

  657. kind of a man to get to be a captain of 100 Roman soldiers.

  658. That's what a centurion was. All of them are men of

  659. principle. Well, Jesus meets Us in Torreon

  660. in Matthew chapter 9 and is centering our chapter 8, 8 verse

    Matthew 9 chapter mention

  661. 9 and the Centurion comes up to the Lord and He said, My servant

  662. is sick. You just give the word and he

  663. will be healed. He said I am a man of authority

  664. myself. I tell my soldiers to go and let

  665. go. I tell them to come and they

  666. come. All you got to do is give the

  667. word. You know what Jesus said.

  668. Not at all of Israel. Have I seen such faith?

  669. But that's injury, you know. He knew Authority was best shown

  670. by the fact that you could just give the word What do you know

  671. by the word of God? Heaven and Earth and all things

  672. therein with created by the word of God, Heaven and Earth and all

  673. things therein will be destroyed by God's word kingdoms were

  674. raised by God's word kingdoms have been destroyed by God's

  675. word. Men have been raised for the did

  676. by God's word, meaning to drop dead by God's word bread fed,

  677. all the Sky by God's word fire rained, out of Heaven, by God's

  678. word, that the Earth that the end was was drown in the

  679. Universal flood by. By God's word Earth that now.

  680. Is it going to be burned up? How's he going to do?

  681. All that by his word? How can he do that?

  682. Cause he's almighty. God He's almighty God.

  683. I had to tell you one other thing, man, Hardy as he is, and

  684. blustering about his power is dealing with an all-powerful.

  685. God is all powerful. God loves you.

  686. He loves me. He loves us so much, that he

  687. gave the greatest gift in heaven, and this is the part.

  688. I don't understand. So we can go to heaven and leave

  689. with him. You think about that?

  690. This God we've been describing this almighty God.

  691. Has done all. He can to get you to heaven with

  692. you. He gave you that opportunity.

  693. To go and live with him. That's amazing in it.
