  1. And Isaiah chapter six beginning of verse 8.

  2. The Bible said in the year that King Uzziah died, I saw also the

  3. Lord sitting upon a throne high and lifted up and his train

  4. filled the temple and it's stood above it stood the seraphim.

  5. Each one had six wings with 20 covered his face with Twain.

  6. He covered his feet with 22 fly. And one Cried unto another and

  7. said, holy holy, holy is the Lord of hosts.

  8. The whole earth is full of his glory and the post of the door,

  9. moved at the voice of him that cried and the house was filled

  10. with smoke. Then I said, what was me for.

  11. I am undone because I'm a man of unclean lips.

  12. And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean, lips for mine

  13. eyes. Have seen the king, the Lord of

  14. hosts. Then flew one of the seraphim's

  15. unto me having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken

  16. with the tongs from off the Altar.

  17. And he laid it, upon my mouth and said, Lo this have touched

  18. on the lips and thine iniquity is taken away.

  19. And that sin is purged. Also, I heard the voice of the

  20. Lord saying, whom shall I send? And who will go for us?

  21. And then said, I here, am I send me?

  22. the vision of God seen by Isaiah In, this passage is his original

  23. call to being the great Messianic Prophet that were

  24. familiar with I've often wondered as I considered this

  25. thought as to why Isaiah skull would happen in chapter 6.

  26. And finally, I've come to the conclusion that the reason that

  27. it didn't come until chapter 6, as Isaiah just wasn't ready for

  28. it. The Messianic Prophet said that

  29. he saw the Lord sitting upon a stump on the throne.

  30. He had never seen anything like this in his life.

  31. Called into the very presence of the Lord God of all the

  32. universe. Not only was God sitting upon a

  33. throne but he was high and lifted up.

  34. I want to say Brethren that the movement toward God, He's always

  35. in that direction. It is high.

  36. And lift it up the ancient Kings Thrones were Majestic and golden

  37. Solomon's. Throne was glorious at the

  38. summit of six steps for he was high and lifted up.

  39. But not like this, throne. This was illuminated by the

  40. presence of God. And it was the essence of

  41. Brilliance as Jehovah. God said on the magazine fit

  42. magnificent, Throne, the skirts of his robe, filled the temple

  43. and Isaiah had never seen anything like that.

  44. Either. The room was full.

  45. Of the Lord God it was a holy place, above him, stood the

  46. seraphim. Majestic creatures.

  47. Standing for no one can sit in the presence of God, and each of

  48. them had six wings. And I think the idea of the six

  49. wings, probably describes their ability for a very rapid flight

  50. to be able to carry out, the will of God wherever that might

  51. be. And whatever the situation may

  52. be one pair of wings covered his face in the glory of God, two

  53. Wings covered his feet soil by his daily work.

  54. And the third was a pair of wings than a Told him to just

  55. hover in The Nearness of God, that he might be called.

  56. And ready when the Lord needed him, one of the Angels Cried.

  57. Holy holy holy is the Lord of hosts and the whole earth is

  58. full of his glory, but we can't forget that Isaiah started by

  59. saying that this was in the year that King Uzziah died.

  60. The time of this Vision happened in a time that the Ancients

  61. would always remember the year that Uzziah died.

  62. Isaiah remembers when God called in.

  63. Do you remember? When you answered that call.

  64. This call came to Isaiah the year that Uzziah died.

  65. He was 759 BC, that was two thousand seven hundred and

  66. seventy-eight years ago and uses I was a great king for Judah.

  67. Second Chronicles chapter, 26 tells us that he became King

  68. when he was 16 and that he reigned in Jerusalem for 52

  69. years and he was one of the great Kings because the people

  70. of God had drifted far away and he had brought them back to Joe.

  71. About verse 16 says, but when he was strong, as heart was lifted

  72. up to his destruction. What a note?

  73. For us to make to our self. He went into Temple Lord.

  74. In his exultation to burn incense on the altar.

  75. Uzziah was a king. He was not a priest.

  76. But he was so full of himself that he thought he could do

  77. anything, the high priest and 80 other priests resisted him.

  78. But the King was so angry. And with a sensor, still in his

  79. hand, little spots. Begin to rise on his forehead.

  80. And he got leprosy. And he was taken from the temple

  81. of God to isolated house. And died in that house.

  82. Rather than you cannot approach God in Pride and Disobedience.

  83. Isaiah could never forget this moment it was the year that King

  84. Uzziah died. Where were you when President

  85. Kennedy was assassinated? That was something that we

  86. probably all. Remember, I was in Miss floods,

  87. chemistry class, my junior year and Del City High School.

  88. I will never forget when that announcement was made.

  89. Isaiah would never forget this occasion because it was the year

  90. that Uzziah died. The seraphim said, holy holy,

  91. holy is the Lord of hosts. The whole earth is full of his

  92. glory. What is holiness?

  93. And in the Greek term means separation to God.

  94. And I think this is God's most outstanding characteristic.

  95. It is his uniqueness. It is his Oneness.

  96. I like to call it his other notice.

  97. Because there was no other like him and never will be.

  98. Leviticus chapter 11 and verse 45 says, for I am the Lord that

    Leviticus 11 chapter mention

  99. bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God, and

  100. you shall therefore be holy for. I am Holy First Peter, chapter

    1 Peter 1:15

  101. 1, verse 15 and 16 says, but as he is, which has called you is

  102. Holy so be ye holy in all manner of conversation because it is

  103. written be holy. For I am.

  104. Holy. Brother, this is one of the real

  105. cores of scripture. When God called us from the

  106. world of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, he called us to be a

  107. holy people. And one of our lessons, this

  108. morning was about the details. You can clearly see that and

  109. Isaiah's call, God is Holy his Essence, separates him from

  110. everything else. And so when the call of God goes

  111. out, it comes to us. We're invited to come to him in

  112. verse 4 says that the post of the doors, moved at the voice of

  113. him that cried and that the house was filled with smoke.

  114. Don't ever forget, Brethren that when Heaven speaks things Shake.

  115. The doors. To the room where God was shook.

  116. When the voice of Heaven spoke and Isaiah said it was filled

  117. with smoke for our God is a consuming fire.

  118. Do you remember when Moses was at Mount Sinai and got the law?

  119. There was earthquakes and fire and smoke.

  120. Same thing. Isaiah seize on this occasion.

  121. Do you remember the vision of God in this life?

  122. whether it is natural or aesthetic, Cannot but produce

  123. and the beholder, a deep feeling of our own unworthiness.

  124. She's not a person in this room tonight.

  125. Who deserves the salvation of Jesus Christ.

  126. And he had, isn't it amazing? That God has seen fit to call

  127. each of us. his kingdom and don't you dare miss the idea

  128. that when he called Isaiah and any other He calls him to do the

  129. work of God. Exodus chapter 3 and verse 5,

    Exodus 3 chapter mention

  130. God said to Moses draw, not nigh hither.

  131. Put off thy shoes from off thy feet for the place where thou

  132. stand. Is Holy Ground.

  133. When you look at their six and that passage, you'll find why he

  134. decided it was Holy Ground. It was not wholly because the

  135. Bush was burning and not consumed, it was not wholly

  136. because of Any miracle that happened, it was holy because

  137. God was there. And Isaiah finds the same thing

  138. in this passage. Isaiah came saying that the

  139. people had sinned with their lips and that they were undone,

  140. they could not stand in the presence of God.

  141. You know, when you look at Christian life, I don't really

  142. know a quicker way that you can lose your influence then with

  143. your mouth. Isaiah had sin with his lips.

  144. And because of that, he said, I'm undone.

  145. And that's what made me. Draw the conclusion.

  146. That the reason that the call of Isaiah is in chapter 6, instead

  147. of chapter one, Because he wasn't ready in chapter one.

  148. His wasn't ready, are you? You really ready?

  149. To serve God are for one reason or another.

  150. Do you find yourself undone? as Isaiah said, he was, And

  151. because of that, he could not stand in the presence of God,

  152. he's out in the hall. Looking through the door, you'll

  153. notice he's not said anything about the face of God.

  154. He's not seen it all. He's seen is the illumination of

  155. the almighty God and the robes that fill the room.

  156. He recognizes the presence of God, but he has not seen him.

  157. Isaiah is in the temple of God. When this happens.

  158. He's in the presence of God. Isaiah did what we all need to

  159. do and keep doing. And that's going back to the

  160. house of God. We need to just keep going back

  161. to the house of God. We keep seeking the presence of

  162. God. Secondly, Isaiah confessed, his

  163. sins and wasn't? He honest when he described

  164. himself, while he blame society, the society wasn't much

  165. different than he but nonetheless, he acknowledged his

  166. sins before God and before his mission for God?

  167. Watch to begin. In verse 6 and 7 then flew.

  168. One of the seraphim's unto him having a live coal in his hand,

  169. which he had taken with a tongs from off the Altar.

  170. And he laid it, upon my mouth and said, Lo this is touched thy

  171. lips. And thine iniquity is taken away

  172. in my sin, Is purged. Can you imagine just picture

  173. that picture that angel taking a hot coal off the altar of

  174. incense and flying over by Isaiah and placing it on his

  175. tender lips. Sacrifice was painful.

  176. But efficient. And it was declared that that

  177. had made him clean. And it was only then that he

  178. would become the great Messianic prophet.

  179. Rather than we need to repent. We need to confess.

  180. We need to go back to the temple and we need to seek the presence

  181. of the Lord. We thank you for listening to
