  1. First of all, once again, it's my great pleasure

  2. to come here and spend this bright Monday with

  3. you all, and this very interesting time of the

  4. year. The apostles didn't know quite what to

  5. do when Christ had risen from the dead. They

  6. gathered in the room, then he appeared to them

  7. and left, and they didn't quite know what to

  8. do. And liturgically, we don't really know what

  9. to do half the time. It's all new. But it's interesting,

  10. in the Gospels, when Christ appears, you know,

  11. People don't recognize him right away. And then

  12. he reveals himself to them and he disappears.

  13. And how does he reveal himself? It's very interesting

  14. as we go through these Sundays of the time after

  15. Pascha. How is he revealed? He's revealed in

  16. the breaking of bread and opening the scriptures

  17. to the disciples. This is exactly what happens

  18. to us in the church. Christ reveals himself to

  19. us in the breaking of bread and the opening of

  20. the scriptures. I bless you all in this glorious

  21. time and hope that you will have a bright and

  22. glorious gospel period. Amen. Christ is risen.

  23. Indeed.
