  1. Fall in my lot to be your speaker today.

  2. And even though that we have studied this subject in the past

  3. many, many, many times I thought, maybe there might be

  4. some edification that we might give to remind us of just how

  5. important it is that the children of God be equipped

  6. properly, to handle our lives that we live this day.

  7. Artex comes from Ephesians the sixth chapter verses 10 through

  8. 18. And if you'd like to turn over

  9. there and just hold that place for just a minute, I'd like to

  10. introduce us by first mentioning the fact that the Civil War, the

  11. Spanish American War World War 1 World War 2, the Korean War, the

  12. Vietnam war Desert Storm, the current action that is going on

  13. in Afghanistan and Iraq. Are some of the conflicts that

  14. Americans down through the years have been involved in war today?

  15. Just seems to be a reality. It's something that is on the

  16. news, almost invariably, every minute of the day, even when

  17. there isn't War involving this nation, the United States of

  18. America. There is war going on somewhere

  19. else in the world. Seems like every day that

  20. evolves and every day that we live, there's a conflict going

  21. on somewhere. And there are also the smaller

  22. Wars. We could talk about gang wars

  23. drug Warfare terrorism, and his country even worldwide.

  24. There is also violence that we can know about and read about

  25. even in our very homes that we possess and live in this day.

  26. It should come as no surprise that.

  27. The Christian is also in a Warfare.

  28. When we read God's word, it is explicit.

  29. It tells us plainly that this is the way it is.

  30. One thing that we should be mindful of, as we start the

  31. process of going through this sermon outline that I have

  32. before us this morning, is today, we as children of God,

  33. have peace with him, in your Bible in Romans the 5th, chapter

  34. and verse number 1, if you'd like to read that while I

  35. proceed through this introduction.

  36. Also today we need to remind ourselves that we have this

  37. piece of God as he commits or we can commit everything to the

  38. Lord in prayer as we have done so far in our public worship

  39. this morning, Paul talked about that plainly over in Ephesians

  40. the fourth chapter verses 6 and 7.

  41. We also learn in God's word in Romans 12 or 17.

  42. That we should have peace among ourselves and I think really and

  43. truly We basically the congregation at this place has

  44. peace among itself among its members.

  45. That's a great blessing. That's not the case in every

  46. congregation that we learn about strife and division abounds in

  47. some areas. And that's a sad thing.

  48. A said, sad testimony, but listen in a real way that we can

  49. talk about and be specific about.

  50. The Christian is to be at war with Satan and his forces.

  51. Is of evil. Today, it is something that we

  52. need to be mindful of and to know that he can translate

  53. himself, even unto the angel of Light and make all things look

  54. like to us what he wants us to do is good for us and cause us

  55. sometimes to stray off of the beaten path.

  56. We want to make sure that we are aware of the fact that we are

  57. involved in a real spiritual war.

  58. Don't forget that and don't be caught up in the world.

  59. And lose sight of the fact that this spiritual war is against

  60. the forces of evil. And the child of God the great

  61. news is that you are guaranteed to win the war but there's a

  62. condition, you know what it is. It's simply if you will do what

  63. you're told. if you ever heard that on the job, now Darryl,

  64. come here, just a minute. I sent you out on a job today

  65. and I told you to do so. And so, and so, and so, and why

  66. didn't you do that or try to, at least accomplish that?

  67. You see, I fail sometimes in my everyday Walk of Life when I

  68. ceased to do that, which I've been told, and that's what gets

  69. the child of God in trouble. So much of the time when we

  70. stray off the beaten path, and we fail to listen to what we've

  71. been told to do. And therefore, we swoop off into

  72. a side track and send sometimes, because of the lust of the

  73. flesh, the lust of the eyes, the pride of life, some small

  74. circumstance gets us off of the way and we fall and are

  75. entrapped by this entity called Satan the devil.

  76. But listen we want to talk this morning about this and I want

  77. you to remember the words that were going to read now found in

  78. Ephesians chapter 6 beginning at verse 10, Paul said, finally my

    Ephesians 6 chapter mention

  79. brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might

  80. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand

  81. against The Wiles of the devil. Here we're going to be furnished

  82. and told and reminded of all the time that we read this.

  83. That there are tools that can sustain us from The Wiles or the

  84. evils of this entity. The devil it says, for we

  85. wrestle not against flesh and blood.

  86. But against principalities against Powers against the

  87. rulers, of the darkness of this world against spiritual

  88. wickedness, in high places, wherefore take unto you.

  89. The whole armor of God that you may be able to withstand in the

  90. evil. Evil day, and having done all to

  91. stand stand. Therefore, having your loins

  92. Girt about with truth and having on the breastplate of

  93. righteousness and your feet shod with the preparation of the

  94. gospel of peace above all taking the shield of Faith wherewith,

  95. ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked

  96. and take the helmet of salvation.

  97. And the sword of the spirit, which is the word of God.

  98. Praying, always with all prayer and supplication in the spirit

  99. and watching thereunto with all. Appearance and supplication for

  100. All Saints. God never intended for you.

  101. And I in obedience to the gospel and falling in a category of

  102. being his child. A Christian of you please to

  103. live a defeated Christian Life, That's not God's purpose.

  104. Never has been the God. Who saves you, through faith?

  105. In the Lord. Jesus Christ, is the god who

  106. expects you to be victorious when we will serve him and do as

  107. we're told old. God never ask anyone to do

  108. anything that's impossible. But listen, God, always ask us

  109. to do things that are impossible without his help.

  110. There are things that we cannot do for ourselves.

  111. And it is taught from time to time from this very Pulpit.

  112. Now, imagine if you will, that I we have several little ones in

  113. the congregation here this morning and this sort of just

  114. illustrates my point, rather crudely, I might add.

  115. But nevertheless, it gets the point across.

  116. Suppose I took one of these little ones and told them Reach

  117. up and touch the ceiling. Can't do that, that's

  118. impossible. But suppose on a drop ceiling

  119. situation that I took one of these little ones and put them

  120. on my shoulder and held him up. They could touch the ceiling and

  121. you know that's really the way it is with our God.

  122. I would never seriously ask anyone and neither would God to

  123. do something that's impossible. God would not be a just God if

  124. that be the case I would never and God would never ask us to do

  125. anything that we cannot do especially without him and think

  126. on that for just a minute. One difficulty we have as

  127. Christians is that we don't realize sometimes most of us do

  128. but just don't realize how much power is available to us for the

  129. express purpose of living. Victorious, Christian Life.

  130. We get bogged down with everyday things in this life.

  131. There are circumstances situations that come our way

  132. that beset us. In other words, deter us.

  133. If you, please But listen, we need to remember that.

  134. There are tools at our disposal that God gives us that we can

  135. thwart the devil in Ephesians. The first chapter I want to

  136. notice with you very briefly, verses 19 through 23.

  137. Verse number 19. This is part of a prayer that

  138. the Apostle Paul prayed for those individuals in the

  139. congregation there at Ephesus. He wanted them to grasp.

  140. And certainly understand the great power that is already been

  141. expressed and their behalf. And that it was available for

  142. them to take advantage of it. Verse 20 says, this great power

  143. was wrought, in Christ by raising him through the power of

  144. God from the dead and then seating him.

  145. The Bible says in Heavenly places, And gods, father's the

  146. father's own right hand, that's rather spectacular.

  147. When you study that in detail verses 21 to 23, gives us a

  148. description of how tremendous this accomplishment.

  149. This seeding of Christ in Heavenly places is now I want to

  150. turn there and I'm going to just very hurriedly read these verses

  151. that I have mentioned, very, very briefly.

  152. And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to

  153. us-ward who believe according to the working of his mighty power,

  154. which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead and

  155. set him at his own, right hand in Heavenly places.

  156. Far above all principality and power and might and dominion and

  157. every name that is named not only in this world but also in

  158. that which is to come and hath put all things under his feet

  159. and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, which

  160. is His body, the fullness of him, that filleth all in all.

  161. Now, let me follow that up with a question.

  162. Who is the church? You are and I am and we are that

  163. make up the body of Christ and talking about the power that can

  164. be meted out to us. Is rather spectacular isn't it.

  165. We can Avail ourselves of the power of God to defeat sin and

  166. Satan in his everyday activities.

  167. Listen, I want you to consider. The victories that is promised

  168. to us over in Philippians of fourth chapter verse 13.

  169. We can do all things through Christ.

  170. Jesus who strengthens us. What does that mean?

  171. Well, it simply means that we have a responsibility to know

  172. what these powers are. How do we Avail ourselves and

  173. partake of these divinely given things that God will give us

  174. talks about that. In first John, the fourth

  175. chapter and verse for also, in the Old Testament in Zechariah 4

  176. and verse number 6. Now, there are some real

  177. problems that the child of God is going to face and you and I

  178. need to be aware of it. The Bible is playing concerning

  179. this. We Face The Wiles.

  180. What does that mean? Well, the King James version and

  181. that word right there, it simply means schemes.

  182. Or methods of the devil. What kind of method is he going

  183. to use on you that he might not use on me?

  184. The history of Satan is well documented in the Old Testament,

  185. Ezekiel 28, Isaiah 14, Genesis 3.

  186. That is just three places and there are many, many others.

  187. The good news is that Satan is not all powerful.

  188. Like God, remember that if you get nothing else from the lesson

  189. today? Remember that Satan is not Not

  190. all powerful like our God that we serve the good news.

  191. Is that Satan is not all-knowing like our God, he's not The good

  192. news is that Satan is not present everywhere like God.

  193. Now then there's a downturn to this, there's a downside, the

  194. bad news is that Satan has a lot of help from Fallen Angels, who

  195. followed him in his Rebellion, to the Creator.

  196. These demons have quite an influence.

  197. In his shown there, in verse 12 Satan and his forces are

  198. enticing. You and I to break God's

  199. commands to do something. We're not told, or to be

  200. involved in something that God says, don't do this.

  201. Or don't do that. Exodus the twentieth chapter are

  202. commands that the children of old were given specifically to

  203. obey. And they failed miserably.

  204. Did they not today under this new law?

  205. We can do the same thing and be involved in violating God's

  206. word. Listen!

  207. What if you don't even know it, What if you don't even

  208. understand and read this rule book that we have before us?

  209. How in the world can we obey something that we don't even

  210. know about God will not, he will not allow you to get into

  211. heaven, through the pre-plea of ignorance.

  212. He won't do it. Proverbs the 6th chapter in

  213. verse number 16, through 19 talks about the things that God

  214. hates and he describes them, they're very, very plainly.

  215. But, you know, listen, there is real participation to be made

  216. upon our part. We can stand against The Wiles

  217. of the devil. Another thing that is really

  218. interesting to me is the fact, and I'm reminded of this when I

  219. read and study God's word is today, we can be victorious over

  220. the vicious attacks, that he makes to us.

  221. You ever read about? And of course, you do this as a

  222. idiom that I'm going to give out to you.

  223. You read about people that are attacked by wild animals and

  224. survive, that's rather remarkable, isn't it?

  225. Can you imagine what it's like for a child of God, to be

  226. attacked and fall into sin because of an attack of the

  227. devil? The Bible says, we're all

  228. Sinners. That's going to happen to us.

  229. But, you know, survival is possible in.

  230. It's only through the church and our Lord Jesus Christ, that we

  231. can survive the attacks of this vicious animal.

  232. The devil, God has given us the Christian armor, which includes

  233. a helmet, a shield, a breastplate a belt, and some

  234. shoes to wear. Their purpose is to protect us

  235. from the attacks of Satan. It is our responsibility though,

  236. to make sure that we are fully clothed in his armor and to

  237. stand against these methods that he uses against us in our

  238. weakness. When we stand we are holding

  239. firm. We are as it were holding the

  240. fort. You know, you remember a story

  241. in our history. Books about a war that was

  242. fought, not too many years ago at the Alamo.

  243. Remember that You remembered how it was that?

  244. A few Gallant Brave Man fought off or tried to a tremendous

  245. Army that was coming. They lost, they simply lost

  246. those valid. Men were overwhelmed by the

  247. multitude where they not listen. When the Lord God Of Heaven

  248. tells us the Christian to hold the fort Against The Wiles of

  249. the devil were not outnumbered. That's not the case in this

  250. Christian Walk of Life. He has provided all the

  251. strength. If we Avail ourselves that we

  252. need to overcome, he's provided us with his strength, our Lord,

  253. and our God, never puts us in a battle that we will lose as long

  254. as we do what he says, and obey his commands.

  255. Our Lord tells us to use the weapons.

  256. The armors he is provided in order to resist the devil and we

  257. need to be mindful of that. We day we live.

  258. We should make sure that we have made up once and for all

  259. decision that we are going to wear and use the armor, which

  260. God is provided daily. Daily.

  261. We have to put on this armor. Do we not?

  262. The Bible says stand therefore, having your loins Girt about

  263. with truth. What does that mean?

  264. You know, we could use a great deal of illustrations right

  265. here, probably from our own personal experiences, but let me

  266. just use the word hypocrisy right here for a minute.

  267. You know, we laugh about it, when we see it in other people,

  268. Yeah, we do. We don't like it when we see it

  269. in one of our Brethren are our sisters.

  270. But you know what? So much of the time we ignore it

  271. or tolerate it in ourselves. And that's the sad part, is it

  272. not? That probably is the only

  273. downside that I have in this little outline this morning is

  274. don't be a hypocrite, try to look in side yourself in the

  275. mirror as it were and see. Do I fit that category because

  276. we are sinners, folks. Listen to me.

  277. Sometimes we tend to be hypocrites.

  278. We tend to our pretend to be what we are not.

  279. We pretend not to be what we are.

  280. The one who is in influence, us. Influencing us towards

  281. apocryphally is the devil. And that's where it comes from

  282. in Ephesians 6 verse 11 to 12. As I've already mentioned we are

    Ephesians 6:11–12

  283. warned against the methods or The Wiles of the devil and

  284. against the work of his demons verse 12.

  285. We are encouraged and verse 10 verse 11 and verse 13 that we

  286. have Spiritual armor, that is provided, which God should put

  287. on, listen. No matter how many times we talk

  288. about this, no matter how many times we read it, if we never

  289. apply it, it does us no good and were vulnerable.

  290. We open ourselves up to brain damage Heart and Lung damage.

  291. Our vital organs spiritually. Speaking are wide open for him

  292. to accommodate himself and put us down in our stand against

  293. Satan. We are first told stand

  294. therefore having your loins Girt about with truth.

  295. Paul is in prison, when he wrote this, if you remember his being

  296. guarded there by a Roman soldier who probably had most or all of

  297. this armor on him or at least nearby, Paul get Begins by

  298. discussing the belt. You know, when a soldier got

  299. dressed, he put on his belt over his tunic, I'm just reading to

  300. you about things that I have learned in the study of what it

  301. looked like or are the stuff that they wore to protect

  302. themselves as soldiers. The tunic was the primary piece

  303. of outer clothing that covered much of the Soldier's body.

  304. I'm told that it was a simple square piece of material with

  305. holes in it that the soldiers head and his arm.

  306. Ames and his waist could fit into very Loosely was it fit

  307. upon him? And as you can imagine during

  308. battle the tunic could very easily be a hindrance getting in

  309. the way the tunic that they wore was tucked into a heavy leather

  310. belt drawn up, tightly and secured with a buckle.

  311. The belt also held to hold other pieces of armor and place.

  312. The belt was an Joel piece of this particular equipment.

  313. That the soldier War I'm told according to historians the

  314. thing. That is so Wonderful about this

  315. is the fact that the individual that was off to war before he

  316. ever stepped out of the place where they were housed, made

  317. sure that he had every piece on and in place trying to protect

  318. himself, it would be insane for the soldier to run out there.

  319. And you remember how they used to line up in a line with their

  320. Spears drawn and they're and bayonets and so on and so forth.

  321. And March toward each other, certain death, wasn't it,

  322. especially if you had on no protection.

  323. Paul tells us to wear the belt of Truth.

  324. Now right here folks is self-examination.

  325. I can't do it for you. I can't make you study and learn

  326. the word of God but it is the truth that will help us keep all

  327. other pieces of armor and our lives in place and live like God

  328. wants us to as the belt surrounds the person wearing it

  329. the truth. Of God's Learning, his word can

  330. surround us and keep us safe. And I might add this thought if

  331. we surround ourselves with truth and actually practice it, the

  332. Bible says it makes us truthful. Isn't that amazing?

  333. To truly surround ourselves with truth.

  334. We are also surrounding ourselves with truthfulness and

  335. the best antidote for hypocrisy in our lives is that we practice

  336. this truth that we learn from the will of God.

  337. We cease to be Hypocrites and sinners you see.

  338. So what is the truth? First of all, there is the truth

  339. of the Gospel. A person must come to a point in

  340. his or her life trusting. The one who died for our sins

  341. was buried and was risen again a person.

  342. One must make a decision to believe, on the one who is the

  343. way, the truth and the life that the Bible talks about John 14,

    John 14:6

  344. verse 6, John Jesus said, I am the truth, the way, the life, no

  345. man cometh unto the father, except by me second, there is

  346. the truth of God's word thirdly. There is the truth of practicing

  347. God's word. You know, we can learn it all we

  348. want to, we can hear it day after day.

  349. Meeting after meeting. But if we do not practice what

  350. we hear, you see the Bible says, the condition of being a child

  351. of God and doing that, which we're told walks out the door.

  352. Well, listen for the rest of this little lesson this morning,

  353. I'd like to take you to a passage of scripture that is

  354. going to help you. I hope help you to show you how

  355. to put on the belt of Truth. So that our lives can be

  356. truthful on hypocritical and be a true child of God, and Joshua.

  357. The first chapter and verse number 8, This book of the law

  358. shall not depart out of thy mouth, but Thou shalt meditate

  359. therein day and night and thou mayest observe to do.

  360. According to all that is written therein for then.

  361. Thou shalt make thy way prosperous and then Thou shalt

  362. have good success. All right, what's my resource?

  363. The resources found this book of the law you know, Joshua had

  364. five books that he could reference today you and I have

  365. Genesis to Revelation that we can reference and find out how

  366. it is that we are to live for our God.

  367. We have a great book written by God second Timothy 3 second

  368. Timothy 1 Romans 15 and last but not least Psalms 19 tells us all

  369. explicitly. Lie about the resources of this

  370. wonderful book. You know, have you ever thought

  371. about your ability to read? You know, I can remember and I

  372. guess it's probably been 35 40 years ago, taking a class in

  373. speed reading. Now, I've never been an animal

  374. that can read super fast. And one statistic that I

  375. understand is is a really kind of glaring You know what, the

  376. average speed that a person reads at?

  377. Is how fast he talks. How fast he talks and it's about

  378. 300 words, give or take a minute.

  379. In this class for about an hour, I learned how through just a few

  380. little suggestions. That I could speed it up double.

  381. So when I left that class, I was reading at the rate of about 800

  382. words, a minute. That's pretty quick.

  383. But you know what? I went home.

  384. I never went back to the class. And I regressed, you know what

  385. that means, that means to fall back.

  386. I didn't practice what I learned in that couple hours and pretty

  387. soon. I'm reading again at about 350

  388. words. A minute.

  389. So, it takes practice. what we know and what we do you see to

  390. in order to make it work for us, Now.

  391. Retainment or retention of what we read.

  392. That's very vital. Not only did this class teach

  393. you how to enhance your reading skills per minute, but it also,

  394. it was absolutely amazing to me how much your retention level

  395. went up. Normally, we retain about 60% of

  396. what we read. Now some of us retain more, some

  397. less, some for longer times than others.

  398. That's because of our ability to think on these things and

  399. practice these things, and so on and so forth.

  400. But all of a sudden and the ability to read faster, my

  401. retention rate went up about 30% to in the 90s.

  402. Now that was a remarkable to me. How do I, how do I illustrate

  403. this? You know, most of us, most of us

  404. are sports fans. I know for as long as I've been

  405. able to know that there are sports, I was probably a ram

  406. football fan. A Dodger, baseball fan.

  407. And you know what's amazing? Is most of us.

  408. Can go over and tell you who's playing first.

  409. Second base, third shortstop, who they've traded for, who they

  410. signed, as free agents name them tell how big they are and so on

  411. and so forth, but you can't cite the books of the Bible.

  412. Something wrong with that equation, isn't it?

  413. There's something wrong when that's the case and I must

  414. guilty as you are. I'm not talking down to you, I'm

  415. just stating facts. What we need to do is be

  416. involved in reading the book and the statistics in it more.

  417. So than these fleshly things that were involved in.

  418. And we can learn because we're smart people, we can know what

  419. God would have us. Do listen, there's a reflection

  420. that can be made in talking about this subject this morning.

  421. The Bible says but Thou shalt meditate therein day and night.

  422. That's a command. And you can dismiss it and so

  423. can I and get away from it and not do it.

  424. But that's a command meditate therein day and night.

  425. Psalms 1 verse 2, Jeremiah the 15th chapter, Psalms 119, all

    Psalms 1:2

  426. these places and different areas, tell us about that.

  427. It also reasons with us when we think about what God is trying

  428. to tell us as human beings, listen there's a reason there.

  429. That thou mayest observe to do. According to all that is written

  430. therein. That's the reason that it is

  431. given the Way It Is, by God, the Creator.

  432. You remember where it says, which is our reasonable service.

  433. It lays in to do this idea of not reasoning about what God's

  434. word says. They're also I might mention by

  435. way of passing That this has a very profound result when it

  436. takes place, and when we exercise it, the Bible says, for

  437. then Thou shalt make thy ways prosperous, and then Thou shalt

  438. have good success. Folks, listen, I believe that

  439. the prosperity mentioned here is primarily spiritual over in

  440. Psalms the first chapter verse 3, read that and study it

  441. sometimes and you'll see exactly what I'm talking about.

  442. All right, in the last few minutes that I have designated

  443. for the lesson today, I want to show you how it is that we are

  444. as children of God, protected by righteousness.

  445. Protection. Do you ever think about that,

  446. you know, on this little outline that I have and it's a little

  447. story. I'll relate it to you right

  448. quick. It said that there was a guy in

  449. Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, that when the law was first passed

  450. about guys using helmets, when they wrote a motorcycle, he was

  451. a host on our local radio station man.

  452. He hated that law. He talked it down.

  453. But a short year or so. After this law went into effect,

  454. he was a motorcycle rider. He had an accident that almost

  455. took his life and because of the law of having to wear a helmet,

  456. his life was spared You know what happened next few days

  457. after he got out of the hospital, he was talking how

  458. important that law was. It was reversed and the way he

  459. thought see Protected by righteousness in the eyes of the

  460. child of God is important. Listen, don't ever get down on

  461. the god of Heaven. You can succeed.

  462. And so, I can I, and we can all go to heaven.

  463. One day, if we'll just do what we're told.

  464. And understand what it is that God is trying to lay out for us.

  465. Now, some of us may not like some of the laws that require us

  466. to wear these armored products that God has given us.

  467. We may not want to do that. We made it think that all some

  468. of these things are just too cumbersome.

  469. I'm here to tell you this morning that it's required by

  470. law that we do his commands. And if we don't we are

  471. jeopardizing our soul salvation protection, listen, Most parents

  472. do things to protect their children.

  473. That's right. We protect our children by where

  474. we allow them to go. We protect our children by what

  475. we allow them to do. We protect our children by

  476. teaching them proper behavior, and procedures.

  477. And the way we're supposed to live commonly among men that's

  478. called morality. We protect our children by

  479. watching out for them. Keeping them away from things as

  480. staircases, electric out. Light, let's running out in the

  481. street. Listen, if the recent tragedy

  482. that has been involved in some of our schools, like the one in

  483. Colorado, not too long ago, has taught us anything.

  484. It's taught us that our children need to be protected from wrong

  485. influence. The wrong type of influences, we

  486. protect our children. Why?

  487. Because we love them. That's why God our heavenly

  488. father protects his children because he loves us.

  489. Don't ever forget that. You know, I don't know of one

  490. case in the Bible maybe you're smarter than I am.

  491. I don't know of one case in the Bible where God has left his

  492. people. The people always left God and

  493. violated his law. Listen as Christians, our enemy

  494. is Satan. First Peter, the fifth chapter,

  495. verse 8, Ephesians 6, verse 11 through 12 and because God wants

    Ephesians 6:11–12

  496. to protect us, he has given us Spiritual armor for us to wear

  497. found. There in that chapter Roman

  498. soldiers would wear a breastplate that could cover the

  499. Torso, protect the vital organs and spiritually speaking.

  500. Folks, you have that ability to wear those things today.

  501. To begin with. No human being is naturally

  502. righteous. Listen and I'll wind this down

  503. in just a moment. Romans the third chapter, if

  504. you've never studied that in detail, do so, it talks about

  505. man's sinful State and how he can come out of that state and

  506. be pleasing. And righteous in the sight of

  507. God. Our Lord, Jesus Christ died for

  508. us to become righteous. The word righteous just simply

  509. means right doing second Corinthians 5:21 and Romans

    2 Corinthians 5:21 Romans 5 chapter mention

  510. chapter 5. When a person trust Christ as

  511. our savior, he or she is Justified that simply means

  512. declared righteous or right doing by faith.

  513. Romans 5 verse 1. What did Christ do for you and

    Romans 5:1

  514. for me? Folks, listen, he wiped out the

  515. debt that caught was caused by sin.

  516. That's right. God, protects those of us who

  517. are saved from the Judgment of Hell by covering them up.

  518. If you please with righteousness, that he gives and

  519. provided for us in his word, Now, then after a person is

  520. standing in the righteousness of Christ for salvation, he is also

  521. to put on that breastplate of righteousness to protect him

  522. from The Wiles of the devil. This righteousness is not the

  523. righteousness that saved him, that was once and for all

  524. righteousness, done by Jesus Christ.

  525. This righteousness is a practical daily righteousness

  526. that protects from the attacks of Satan and our So Hearts,

  527. listen, it takes you're thinking mechanism to be kicked in gear

  528. to do sin. And if you can have it groomed

  529. and educated where some circumstance comes your way,

  530. you're going to deviate from that.

  531. Your Righteous. You see and God has protected

  532. you by giving you how it is that you become righteous.

  533. You know, one of the passages that describes the Practical

  534. righteousness is found in Galatians 2:20.

    Galatians 2:20

  535. Listen. Paul said, I'm crucified with

  536. Christ. What does that mean?

  537. Basically, it's just simply that I put off the old man, in

  538. baptism. Raised to walk in newness of

  539. Life. Nevertheless, I live yet, not I,

  540. but Christ liveth in me, and the life, which I now live in the

  541. flesh, I live by the faith of the son of God.

  542. God who gave me and gave himself for me.

  543. In that passage of scripture right there, in a very hurried,

  544. summon summation. We are crucified with Christ

  545. because Christ died for me. And when Jesus died on the

  546. cross, he shed his blood there for my sins and for the world he

  547. purchased you see, he purchased, we are to be clothed with Christ

  548. this, holy spirit that gave his word can.

  549. Rectus today, just as it did when it was given we are to be

  550. today as members of the church. And I don't mean to be arrogant,

  551. I don't mean for us to be haughty.

  552. God plainly condemns those two traits and a Christian.

  553. But listen, we are to be confident in Christ Jesus, and

  554. we can know that if will live and do that, which we are to do.

  555. The commands. If you please, we can be saved

  556. one day. I'm trusting Christ when I want

  557. to hold a grudge but no longer hold it against a person.

  558. I'm trusting Christ when I want to lose my temper but quietly

  559. discuss a matter instead. I'm trusting Christ when I want

  560. to do, or say, what is dishonest, but instead do and

  561. say, what is truthful? I'm trusting Christ when I begin

  562. to fear or worry, but turn those fears over to him.

  563. I'm trusting Christ when I start to doubt, but instead have

  564. faith. My faith does not need to

  565. waiver. I trust Christ, I will be

  566. clothed with Christ's righteousness and Christ will

  567. live his life through Me by what I know about him and the god of

  568. Heaven. Why should I want to live such a

  569. life? Why should I want to be

  570. righteous in the way? I live.

  571. Paul tells us Destiny. Jesus loved us and gave himself

  572. for us. He gave us his all for me and

  573. for you. He gave his all for every one of

  574. us and we should trust him and live through the life that he is

  575. designated that we should be from his word.

  576. If will take ourselves and use these instruments, that God has

  577. given us, Satan will flee. Thus it is written.

  578. That's what the Savior said on the day that he was taken up to

  579. the Pinnacle of the temple and viewed that vast Wilderness and

  580. told that he can have all those things but the condition was

  581. that he serve Satan. Thus, it is written.

  582. The Lord said several times there and you and I as a child

  583. of God today can do that. Very same thing.

  584. Listen, don't be ashamed of the Gospel.

  585. Full of Jesus Christ, don't be ashamed to witness out in this

  586. old world and will tell about what God in Christ has done for

  587. you. We thank you for listening to
