  1. We hope and pray that the things that we have chosen in this part

  2. of our worship today, will be good for the congregation that

  3. meets here from time to time. There was a little subject that

  4. came up the other evening in our Wednesday night.

  5. Study that prompt us prompted me to research this somewhat and I

  6. hope what we're going to talk about will be the very best for

  7. the occasion. I don't really know your

  8. thoughts because I'm not able to read your minds but from time to

  9. time, I think about the congregation and how long it's

  10. been here at this place. And in the course of thinking

  11. about that, I realize that, where's it going to be proc

  12. approximately maybe 10 years from now or maybe 20?

  13. And then that prompted me to really sort of get sober minded.

  14. and I took an accounting in my mind and I thought, you know, in

  15. about 20 years, maybe even less about a dozen of us that are

  16. here this morning in this assembly, won't be here.

  17. That's just the way things go because our bodies were out

  18. disease, takes us and so on and so forth.

  19. But my heart's desire and prayer to God is that this congregation

  20. will remain strong. and it will be here for the very, very long

  21. future serving, this community, and trying the best of our

  22. abilities, to preach the gospel to those that are lost That

  23. would be an answer to my prayer concerning this congregation.

  24. Now in reflecting on 2nd, Timothy 4, verses 1 through 5

  25. and that we quoted partial of it Wednesday evening and I'm going

  26. to read it and just a moment. But think about this for just,

  27. just a second, how many of us today without intention and

  28. having the best intentions for ourselves and our families and

  29. the congregation here have just relegated ourselves to

  30. churchgoers. Is that all we do is just come

  31. to the worship. Well, we're going to talk about

  32. some things today, and I'm going to give you some statistics.

  33. I'm going to talk about scriptures that perhaps, we need

  34. to be reminded about this is not a Hellfire sermon preaching down

  35. to you. I don't want to do that, but I

  36. wanted to be encouraged this morning and just take inventory

  37. of ourselves and possibly where we are as far as are serving.

  38. The lord goes at this moment of Time.

  39. That's important to me and I think it should be to all of us.

  40. In second, Timothy chapter 4 will be going to begin here.

  41. The Apostle Paul being the writer of this letter, he said I

  42. charge thee, therefore, before God and the Lord Jesus Christ,

  43. who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing, and

  44. his kingdom, preach the word be instant in season out of season

  45. reprove rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and Doctrine.

  46. For the time will come, when they will not endure sound

  47. Doctrine, but after their own lusts, shall they Heap to

  48. themselves teachers having itching ears, and they shall

  49. turn away their ears from the truth and shall be turned unto

  50. fables. But watch, thou.

  51. In all things endure, afflictions do the work of an

  52. evangelist make, full proof of thy Ministry. and another place

  53. when he was writing to this young preacher, this young

  54. evangelist He told us that we are commit the word I'm

  55. paraphrasing it. Of course, commit things that he

  56. has heard to good and faithful men.

  57. And let me say a word in behalf of our younger people.

  58. I see a growth period in this congregation.

  59. That was mentioned in Darren's prayer this morning.

  60. And I see that because of the things that were doing here

  61. especially on our Wednesday night studies growth in our

  62. younger people and that's a good thing and that is a positive as

  63. far as thinking about where the church at this place will be in

  64. the future and how strong it will maintain.

  65. And let me just say this, In our conservative thinking and

  66. according to what God teaches holdfast, those good things and

  67. cast aside, those things that are not good for the church,

  68. according to God's word. Well in the longest line this

  69. morning talking about the future church, let me just say that it

  70. doesn't take a lot of learning on our part.

  71. To learn that nothing stands still for very long, we can see

  72. that about us. We can understand the thought

  73. that I'm trying to make it this moment of time at this very

  74. moment. We are at the portals of another

  75. year, it seems like the 2010 just got started and now it's

  76. almost over. People are going to start making

  77. resolutions. Perhaps you do that, I don't

  78. know. But thinking about the future,

  79. what am I going to do? Am I going to better myself my

  80. family and what are we going to succeed at in the very near

  81. future? But I want to take this

  82. opportunity to talk about change that we see in the world, change

  83. is a very constant thing and all changes are not bad, but there

  84. are some changes that we expect some that we even hope for there

  85. are some though that are not For us and they should never occur

  86. and we should cast them off and certainly not let them enter

  87. into our lives, especially in the church.

  88. This morning, we're here today to talk about well, in essence,

  89. in a short segment of it, our leadership and we want to

  90. reflect upon upon that, we're here to discuss our attitudes.

  91. We're going to talk about our goals and the future of the

  92. Lord's, cause upon this Earth, And in short, we are here at

  93. this time to take a long hard look.

  94. At ourselves and what we're doing for the Lord and for his

  95. cause I might just say the church and 20 years here at this

  96. place. What will it look like if I was

  97. able to be here and to see it in itself?

  98. The very thought to me is awesome.

  99. But think about it, we have to and we have to make plans, we

  100. have to succeed in order for us to be at this place.

  101. In the future. Proverbs 29.

  102. Verse 18 tells us where there is no vision, the people perish.

  103. So you see God's word teaches us that those that lead, the flock

  104. need to have some sort of a vision needs to have some sort

  105. of plans. I should use that term for what

  106. this church is going to be like in the future.

  107. And we can't wait to be dragged into the Next Generation and the

  108. next One. And the next one, we need to

  109. walk hand-in-hand with it and make sure that the later

  110. leadership first of all is strong and brings the young

  111. along and that's the way we sustain the conservatism that's

  112. found in God's word. Now this morning I give this

  113. lesson to you was several understandings.

  114. First of all I understand that I'm neither a prophet nor a son

  115. of a prophet. I have no crystal glass ball

  116. that I can look into and tell you what's going to happen.

  117. I don't know what the future holds but I understand that

  118. we're looking at a constantly changing scene against a

  119. backdrop of an unchanging word. Let me just rephrase that like

  120. this. Things are moving along at such

  121. a rapid pace and we get caught up in things, don't we?

  122. We certainly do. But behind the backdrop of life,

  123. that's moving along. So rapidly, there is still

  124. something behind that. That is constant, is always

  125. there and never changing and that's the word of almighty God.

  126. And we need to look through this movement, that is so fast and

  127. furious, and can cause us to stray off into the bushes, so,

  128. to speak. And remember that there is

  129. something that will draw us back to the straight and the narrow,

  130. and that's the word of all God almighty God.

  131. It never changes. God designed it that way.

  132. You know, there are many constants that we could talk

  133. about but I just want to talk about a few today for them.

  134. I am very, very grateful to God that he made it this way.

  135. I want you to hear something that this morning, we could turn

  136. over to Daniel chapter 2 and verse number 44.

    Daniel 2 chapter mention

  137. I believe it is talking about the kingdom and how it Come and

  138. what it would look like, and so on and so forth.

  139. Then we flip in our Bibles to Matthew Chapter 13 and we read

    Matthew 13 chapter mention

  140. the history that's found there and it's remarkable how the

  141. prophets could see and how it came to pass.

  142. You read over later on in James chapter 4 and how things were

    James 4 chapter mention

  143. succeeding in and going forth God is ever the same.

  144. Now, what's his product? Well, God's product is the word,

  145. and it is always here and constant, and it never changes.

  146. And I can't say that too many times clearly stated

  147. propositions that we find in God's word that can be Thought

  148. about studied about learned about our human intellect can be

  149. put in place and it's there for our reading for our

  150. understanding. But do we do we know God's word?

  151. Do we know what he's trying to tell us from the light of his

  152. word, the word itself demands that we study the signs of our

  153. times and we do move forward with a constant of God's word

  154. and do those things that he would have us to be.

  155. Already then. Turning our eyes to these times,

  156. it almost leaves us dizzy. Perhaps the right word might be

  157. dazed. The only constant thing

  158. sometimes that we see is change itself and how rapidly that it

  159. occurs. The field, the world, the hearts

  160. of men, the soils are all factors that we have to consider

  161. and we realize that men change, but the word of God doesn't it?

  162. Just stays there in a constant form for us to when we move to

  163. the right? Or we moved to the left can

  164. readjust The way we live and come back down, the straight and

  165. narrow. And that's a wonderful thing

  166. that God has given us. And most of us I'm sad to say

  167. just simply take it for granted. The changing world is out there

  168. and we need to admit it and we need to look at it in sometimes

  169. a bad way. We don't need to let it affect

  170. us. In 20 years, I am told to, as

  171. some surveyors have taken. And I've said this from the

  172. pulpit time and time again that statistics, by the time, you

  173. quote, them are usually old and perhaps forgotten or they change

  174. from time to time. But here's some of them in about

  175. 20 years. It's said that one of every

  176. three people that you meet will be of A different race.

  177. And that's probably already here.

  178. And you think about that, this is already true in some of our

  179. country. We do not see this, though, from

  180. a church standpoint as a problem as the world does.

  181. But we see it as a challenge. What am I talking about?

  182. Do we not need to develop some young preachers that can speak

  183. Hispanic, Spanish, maybe foreign languages, that we would never

  184. dream that we could do. This is a ideas that I was

  185. thinking about and I wrote down some of them.

  186. We need to plan for it. We need to face it.

  187. We really have not done much for those people that migrated into

  188. our Country. Well for sake, of a better term

  189. they call minorities. I don't know what you want to

  190. call it. But listen let me start talking

  191. about this from the light of our homes are American Homes.

  192. I want you to think about them. Things now that I'm going to

  193. mention, we already in the church, I believe most of us

  194. wrestle with the problem of what our homes are like.

  195. Some of them are wonderful. Some of them are are just like

  196. the Bible teaches, they should be.

  197. But then again on the other hand, there are homes that even

  198. in the church have been affected by evil and sin and been

  199. decimated by divorce and so on and so forth. 20 years ago,

  200. divorce among church members was practically unheard of It's

  201. something you just did not hear much about because it wasn't

  202. here today. There are very very few families

  203. even possibly in the churches in this area that have about been

  204. affected by that evil. It's an awful thing for the

  205. church to be broken up because of divorce.

  206. And, you know, if you had the ability to have the old serpent

  207. or the devil's book, if he's written down names, let's never

  208. let our name get there. We need to be mindful of it.

  209. Losses up to 48 percent occur, among our young and our young to

  210. middle-aged families. That is a startling to statistic

  211. And if you were to take a survey today, it's probably higher but

  212. this congregation, I believe moves in a, in a positive good

  213. direction and that's to train our children and the way that

  214. they should go and when they're old, they will not depart from

  215. thee. That's what the Bible says over

  216. in Proverbs. So you see there's a mission for

  217. us something that we can all work together for and succeed in

  218. And that's training our little ones and showing them.

  219. The need to be mindful of God and to respect him and serve

  220. him, all the days that they live.

  221. Out of every 100 children that are born today.

  222. According to this survey Statistics indicate the

  223. following 12 are born out of wedlock. 40 were born to

  224. parents. Who will divorce before the

  225. children? Reach the age of 18.

  226. Five were born to parents who will separate before they reach

  227. 18. Two were born to parents of

  228. home. One will die before the

  229. children. Reach, 18, only 41 will reach

  230. age 18 in what the world calls normal Now, if you talk to 10

  231. different people, you get different in different ideas

  232. today about what is normal. 59 percent of the children.

  233. Born in 1983, will live only one with one parent before, reaching

  234. 18. But today this is a normal

  235. experience. This is what we see in our

  236. society. Good know what can the church do

  237. about it. We can affect it, we can do

  238. things further. Statistics reveal that real

  239. problems are ahead for the the world.

  240. A society, the church, And it is alarming when you think about it

  241. in 1955. Now this goes back several years

  242. in nineteen fifty five, sixty percent of American households

  243. had a working father, a household mother who was a

  244. housewife and two or more children found therein in 1980

  245. that Union was unit was found in only 11 percent of our homes, In

  246. 1995, it was down to 7% already. So you see the decline.

  247. Now, we're talking about the foundation of everything and

  248. that's our homes. So if we work hard, if we use

  249. the instructions found in God's word, as far as how the home is

  250. to look and survive and succeed, these statistics will not affect

  251. us in the church whatsoever. I'm told according to a survey

  252. that was back in in the early 2000s.

  253. That the typical family includes any of the following single

  254. parent male or female with one or more children, a female

  255. Breadwinner with a child and a live-in, husband, a previously,

  256. married couple with a combination of children.

  257. One of the three. The family by never definition

  258. several years ago. Was this a combo of people not

  259. related by blood or marriage but by voluntary Association Folks

  260. listen, I say this too began to show you just how detrimental

  261. Society can become if we just let ourselves become

  262. churchgoers, just coming to worship and I might just mention

  263. the fact that some of us can't even do that.

  264. Except on the Lord's day. If we're going to build up this

  265. congregation, it takes everyone. And let me tell you this, if you

  266. think for one minute in this particular place of the church

  267. that the leadership here is not interested in you and how you

  268. are to live and succeed to make Evan Then you are absolutely

  269. diluted. The congregation here together

  270. can accomplish that and the leadership will help you.

  271. If we can't do those, things will find ways to do.

  272. Them will learn will educate ourselves and will help you

  273. every way that we can Brethren, listen The Winds of Change blow

  274. and they blow in Gale proportions in my short

  275. lifetime. I've seen us move from Workers

  276. in the field. Over into the industrial side

  277. from the industrial side to the informational side.

  278. And that's just the way how things are, and how fast things

  279. are moving today. I remember as a kid to make

  280. extra money to help buy my school clothes, I got out and I

  281. chop cotton Pick cotton. Worked out in the fields.

  282. Why are kids wouldn't do that today?

  283. If they if you force them, if you beat him to death almost

  284. they think that oh how persecuted they are?

  285. And that's okay, we have educated ourselves.

  286. We have sent them to school, we have better dim and that's a

  287. good thing. But us never look down upon

  288. those that still do it. Technology is turning the world

  289. inside inward upon itself, I cannot keep up with it.

  290. I would break break Darrell and Gail's Financial Bank.

  291. If I tried to keep up with electronics, it's amazing.

  292. What things can be done in a little handheld.

  293. Gadget-gadget today. And what it will succeed in

  294. doing technology is a tremendous thing.

  295. We can Avail ourselves of it but let's not get caught up in it.

  296. And let us take us away from the road that we're traveling.

  297. You know, folks listen one man said this and think about it.

  298. He said that the global village is here Think about how far we

  299. can get from point A to point B and just a few hours today.

  300. How small the world has become and how fast we can travel from

  301. this place to that place. It's just remarkable.

  302. We are in transition if we like it or not.

  303. If there has ever been a time to think for the leadership of

  304. congregations to plan things out.

  305. Together to sit goals. It's now, who are we?

  306. What are we about? Where do we want to go?

  307. And what do we want to achieve? When we get there?

  308. That's some things that we can think about and study about.

  309. And that's the reason why today for the purpose of this lesson

  310. is to remind us and the leadership of this congregation

  311. that we have plans that we need to make and stick it and adhere

  312. to them and do those things that God would have us do.

  313. What's out in this changing world.

  314. The greatest need of the church today and in the future will be

  315. the leadership and see it strong.

  316. Strong in the eyes of the Lord and the congregations there is

  317. Grass Roots cry for leadership in our congregations.

  318. And if you think for one minute that if you study to show

  319. thyself approved unto God, a Workman that needeth not to be

  320. ashamed, rightly dividing it in its true sense.

  321. You will be followed and appreciated because you'll be on

  322. the straight and narrow and that's what we're talking about

  323. today. It's so important we need to

  324. have the Proper scriptural, guidance, that God didn't give

  325. us, never has leadership and so important, never have, we had a

  326. priority, so great. And, you know, truth.

  327. I want to say this in a course of our study this morning.

  328. Truth does not assure leadership while truth provides it and

  329. God's word demands it. We are the ones that must

  330. develop it. It's our responsibility to do

  331. that. No one will do it for us.

  332. You know, it's appalling to me than in one survey, 59 percent

  333. of our Brethren have no plans for developing elders.

  334. Deacon's or preachers. Now, we've talked about this on

  335. our Wednesday night, cited study to, and it's a, it's a marvelous

  336. in the fact that God has designed a way for the church to

  337. be governed. But yet we just kind of Move

  338. Along at a snail's pace and perhaps we need to think about

  339. that a little bit more. Do we not all read from the same

  340. book and what he teaches us web solutely we do and we can read

  341. together the instructions for leading the church forward and

  342. the things that need to be need to be done the word demands that

  343. we do. That are we not forced to the

  344. conclusion that we either? Do not know the word.

  345. Or sometimes. We just get in a mode that we

  346. really don't care. And that's the dangerous part.

  347. We really just don't seem to care.

  348. There is indeed a crisis today Among Us I believe and it is a

  349. terrible lack of biblical knowledge.

  350. Let me cite to you what God said about this many hundreds of

  351. years ago, over in Hosea, the fourth chapter verse 6 and it's

  352. never been truer. Listen my people are destroyed

  353. for lack of knowledge. This can be decimating to you

  354. and your life and your family's atmosphere.

  355. If you don't step up to the plate and learn the language,

  356. found in God's word, people can cause you to drift because you

  357. don't have the strength that it takes to withstand those that

  358. put pressure on us from the outside.

  359. My people are gone into captivity because they have no

  360. knowledge. That's what the Bible says.

  361. In Isaiah chapter 5. Verse number 13, you can be

    Isaiah 5 chapter mention

  362. captivated by sin because of the lack of knowledge of God's word

  363. to combat it. And we don't want that to

  364. happen. Especially not in this

  365. congregation. Hebrews chapter 5 and verse 12

    Hebrews 5 chapter mention

  366. is so applicable. Today, there is a distinct

  367. correlation between the way we live and what we know between

  368. the leadership of a congregation what it knows and what it can

  369. accomplish by the knowledge that it has studied and received from

  370. God's word. We must have leaders who will

  371. lead us to accept the destiny of our design.

  372. Let me give you a challenge. Sometime, take the time to read

  373. and study at length Ephesians 3. Ephesians chapter 3.

    Ephesians 3 chapter mention

  374. There's a great deal of insight. Their leaders who senses have

  375. been exercises to sort out what matters from what does not

  376. matter the sacred from the secular, the primary from the

  377. secondary and growth from change folks.

  378. Let me say this one is permitted and one is not one is permitted

  379. and what the other is condemned. We desperately need men who know

  380. and will lead the church to know.

  381. It is just over simplified, perhaps, but that's the way it

  382. is. We need men who will stand in

  383. the Gap and show the world. A city that is set on a hill

  384. whose streets are not lace with denominationalism.

  385. We don't want that in this congregation.

  386. We don't want to have anything to do with it, and we need to

  387. have the knowledge to combat it from time to time.

  388. If it does attack us from the outside, The Winds of Change

  389. blow Brethren and they blow universally Something that I

  390. read, that was rather interesting and it's far from

  391. our Shores. But men who have led the church

  392. for years in this country have looked across the Atlantic Ocean

  393. to Great Britain. And they say that there is great

  394. concern about the falling away that they see, they state that

  395. there are many following doctrines that the church wants

  396. once fought and condemned. And this is the way change

  397. happens. Sometimes it's such a subtle

  398. slow thing, but you look around and it's here and it's too late.

  399. Almost, let's grow up the Old Paths movement of 1920 shall

  400. have ground for us to remember that.

  401. The church can be decimated by those who will teach error.

  402. Let's train, our younger boys that are going to come up and

  403. have a voice and leading this congregation excuse me, so that

  404. they can stand on a dust, saith the Lord and the congregation

  405. will support a minute. That's what we strive for Both

  406. at home and abroad. We're face sometimes with what

  407. we call a Monumental task. You know, if I could have my way

  408. do you know what a simulation is?

  409. Assimilation is where we let ourselves gradually, be changed

  410. into something different. And it's sometimes, like I said,

  411. just a moment ago, it's a soul slow process and the

  412. assimilation. If we let ourselves become weak

  413. and we forget the word or we don't even know it to start with

  414. can cause us to assimilate into something that God doesn't like

  415. that, he doesn't want and he won't have it and it's just as

  416. simple as that simple as that. We cannot sit idly by and watch

  417. people. Assimilate into the world and

  418. become weak because of the way that they live and let the world

  419. influence them. That's the thing that we need to

  420. fight movements. Tend toward three distinct

  421. stages. There is a beginning stage

  422. characterized by a fervent urgent evangelism, distinctive

  423. people and great unity. And that's what we need to

  424. exercise and stay with and promote The second is a

  425. degenerating of the first. And like I've already said it

  426. sometimes it's a very slow process.

  427. Let's be mindful of it. Let's think about it evangelism.

  428. First of all, drops off. In Camp conflicts, rise and

  429. power struggles began in the congregation.

  430. You might have a whole congregation, but one brother,

  431. that stands out, that supposed to everything the congregation

  432. wants to do to let it go forward and succeed in this world, what

  433. do we do about that? Set on our Laurels and nothing?

  434. Absolutely, not the word of God instructs us.

  435. What we can do about that. Well, in the third evangelism is

  436. almost non-existent The people battle or settle down to

  437. church-going. As I've already mentioned,

  438. briefly peaceful coexistence is the order of the day.

  439. In order for us to just get along, all we want to do is just

  440. come to worship. That's not the way it works.

  441. We all know that there are different personalities in this

  442. congregation and others, and sometimes are going to be times

  443. when we don't agree with everything, but upon the

  444. scriptural side, First Corinthians, the first chapter

  445. says, that's a necessity. So we grow up, we learned that,

  446. and we learned how to cope with each other.

  447. And I think we succeeded that here.

  448. I really do and we need to keep up that good work.

  449. To me. The matter of most concern

  450. utmost concern. I should say, is where are we?

  451. I will tell you right now, were some of us are and it's

  452. alarming. We are more like the world than

  453. we've ever been. Now I could get specific but

  454. time will not permit. Let me go on, we talk like the

  455. world. Listen now.

  456. We dress like the world. We go to the same places of

  457. entertainment that the Worlds at In short, we are.

  458. And in many instances, not only in it brethren, we are it.

  459. And that's what I'm talking about.

  460. That's dangerous. We seek the world for

  461. entertainment. We forget the church and the

  462. things that need to make it survive.

  463. And that's dangerous. Let's not do that.

  464. Let's be reminded of it. We are confusing the world and

  465. doing this. Now, what do I mean by that

  466. confusing? The world?

  467. well, you know They don't like to understand why we're trying

  468. to change them. Sometimes they get frustrated,

  469. they don't understand. Why are you preaching to me this

  470. Doctrine? And this commandment and so on

  471. and so forth? When they look at us and we're

  472. just like them. We'd look like them.

  473. We sound like them. We dress like them.

  474. And that proverbial duck quacks like him.

  475. So, you see the fruit ility in the Church of our Lord and

  476. Savior. Jesus Christ, doing the things

  477. that God has taught us to do to convert the world.

  478. And the danger is we're just like them sometimes and we can't

  479. do that the church in the future real problems faced us and would

  480. less we look back and be a distinctive people that God

  481. intended us for us to be a peculiar people that simply

  482. means different that they can see a difference in us.

  483. A holy nation, the light and the salt I want to remind you of

  484. something right here. Salt and I'm told that if you

  485. put a lot of it on your food, it's not good for you.

  486. But spiritually speaking in this in this idea that's given forth

  487. in Scripture, it preserves. It flavors it stings.

  488. And makes people thirsty. Now, what do we do about that?

  489. The Lord grant us boldness to run out into the world and

  490. emphasize what makes us unique. We need to tell them, show them,

  491. remind them convert them. That's what the Bible is talking

  492. about. And you know what, Brethren the

  493. Mandate that we have before us is very, very clear indeed.

  494. Distinctive people of God, preaching a definitive word is

  495. what God is looking for today and what the world needs.

  496. Why is the church and the world still here today?

  497. Can you answer that question for me?

  498. Think about that, just a moment. We'll listen in conclusion this

  499. morning, and I'm just about out of time.

  500. Skills are not developed by wishing that they were ours.

  501. And here it is. Parents may love their children

  502. with all of their heart, but they may still lack parenting

  503. skills. You don't just learn how to

  504. raise a child overnight. It is something that is worked

  505. at continually to train these little children.

  506. The way that they should be. Doctors may wish to help people

  507. by the score, not to have. And within their repertoire, the

  508. skills to fix something that this person needs.

  509. So they send you to a specialist.

  510. That's what we do. Folks, listen, if I was to

  511. design a leader in the Church of Our Lord, it would be a skilled

  512. individual with every facet of what it takes to live a

  513. Christian life and to help you along the way.

  514. Facing the future is getting prepared for things that are

  515. going to come our way. The church in the future will

  516. depend largely on its people. In this room, all of us will be

  517. involved in it all of you. If you live to see tomorrow a

  518. week a month, twenty years will be involved in the process of

  519. what the church is going to be like on down the road.

  520. In conclusion this morning, let me read something from First

    1 Corinthians 3 chapter mention

  521. Corinthians chapter 3, and I want to begin at verse 10.

  522. According to the grace of God, which is given unto me as a wise

  523. master builder. I've laid the foundation and

  524. another buildeth thereon, but let every man, take heed how he

  525. buildeth thereupon. For other Foundation can no man.

  526. Lay than that is laid which is Jesus Christ.

  527. Now if any man build upon this Foundation, gold silver,

  528. precious stones wood, hay and stubble.

  529. Every Man's work shall be made manifest for the day.

  530. Shall declare it because it shall be revealed by fire and

  531. the fire shall try. Every man's work of what sort it

  532. is. If any man's work abide which he

  533. hath built thereupon he shall receive a reward.

  534. If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss,

  535. but he himself shall be saved yet.

  536. So, as by fire, Brother, listen, we cannot let the church go

  537. begging and let it become like the world.

  538. We need to take those things that are found there in, and

  539. hold fast to it, and train, and teach our young.

  540. That one day in the distant future.

  541. Our congregation will still be intact and the word of God will

  542. succeed. We thank you for listening to

  543. our podcast, put on by the Church of Christ at 22:15 plans.
