  1. It's good to see everyone that's here this morning.

  2. We appreciate your presence and certainly this morning is a

  3. blessing it's a blessing. And you know, with when we talk

  4. about blessings, really, we don't recognize a blessing till

  5. there, a problem presents itself.

  6. We sometimes we don't stop encounter blessing because we

  7. have so many blessings. And in other people in other

  8. parts of the world may be recognized a blessing, because

  9. they aren't as blessed as we are.

  10. But we are blessed this morning but I want to concentrate for a

  11. few moments this morning about the blessings of the Cross and

  12. the crucifixion just for a few moments.

  13. We can only recognize the blessings of the Cross because

  14. We sometimes need to know about the severity of the problems

  15. before the cross and one of the problems was with the Old Law,

  16. the law of Moses was an imperfect law.

  17. It was a law, that was incomplete.

  18. It was a law that could not take away sin.

  19. It couldn't we couldn't meet all the demands of the Old Law.

  20. Notice in Hebrews, attend chapter in verses 1 through 4

  21. for the law, talking about the Mosaic whole law, having a

  22. shadow of good things. To come and not the very image

  23. of the things can never with these same sacrifices, which

  24. they offer continually year-by-year.

  25. Make those who approach. Perfect for then would they have

  26. cease to be offered? For the worshippers.

  27. Once per purified, what have had no more conscience of sin?

  28. But in those sacrifices, there is a reminder of sins every year

  29. for it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats

  30. could take away sins. So there's a problem.

  31. What's the solution? The solution in the blessing is

  32. that the cross freed us from the bondage of sin.

  33. And from that imperfect law, notice they'll going on in the

  34. ninth verse of the same chapter Hebrews 10 verses 9 through 14.

    Hebrews 10:9–14

  35. Then he said behold I have come to do your Will O God he takes

  36. away the first that he may establish the second by that

  37. will we have been Sanctified through the offering of the

  38. body? Of Jesus Christ, once for all in

  39. every priest stands, ministering daily and offering repeatedly,

  40. the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins.

  41. But this man after he had offered one sacrifice for sins

  42. forever set down at the right hand of God.

  43. From that time waiting, till his enemies are made his footstool

  44. for by one offering. He has perfected forever.

  45. Those who are being Sanctified, there's a solution to the

  46. problem the blessing of the Cross.

  47. Well next let's notice that we are dead in sin, we were dead in

  48. sin and that is a problem, Ephesians 2 and verses 2 through

  49. 3. And you, he made alive who were

  50. dead in trespasses and sins in which you once walked, according

  51. to the course of this world, according to the prince of the

  52. power of the air, the spirit, who now works in the sons of

  53. Disobedience among whom. Also, we all once conducted

  54. ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of

  55. the Flesh, and of the mind, and we're by Nature children of

  56. Wrath. Just as the others.

  57. That's a problem. What's the solution?

  58. What's the blessing? Listen to the solution to the

  59. problem as he goes on to verses four through seven.

  60. But God, who is rich in Mercy? Because of his great love with

  61. which he loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us

  62. alive together with Christ and raised us up together and made

  63. us sit together in the Heavenly places in Christ Jesus that the

  64. ages to come. He might show the exceeding

  65. Riches of his grace and his kindness toward us in Christ

  66. Jesus. So there's the blessing because

  67. we're dead in sin were made alive in Christ.

  68. That's the solution. That's the blessing.

  69. Another problem is that sin separates us from God.

  70. We're all, we've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of

  71. God. Romans 2, 3, and verse 23, but

  72. the cross Takes that separation and brings us together.

  73. Into Christ, Ephesians 2 and verse 13.

  74. But now in Christ Jesus who were once were, who once were afar

  75. off, have been brought near by the blood of Christ, again, a

  76. solution of blessing in the cross and the crucifixion.

  77. Lastly. There's a problem that without

  78. Christ, there is no hope, Ephesians 2, and verse 12.

  79. That at the time, ye were without Christ, being aliens,

  80. from the Commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants

  81. of problem of Promise having no hope.

  82. And without God in the world, that's a big problem.

  83. That's a big problem. No, hope we had we just gave a

  84. lesson not too long ago about Hope and without hope means that

  85. there's desperation, there's despair.

  86. There is there's no future. There's nothing to look forward

  87. to and this hasn't wishful thinking, as we've said, this is

  88. a hope that is something that is guaranteed to the Christian, but

  89. here's the blessing. With the Christ's death and

  90. burial and Resurrection, the Christian has the hope of

  91. inheritance First. Peter 1 verses 3 through 4.

    1 Peter 1:3–4

  92. Blessed. Be the god of our father and our

  93. Lord Jesus Christ. Who according to His, abundant

  94. Mercy, has begotten us again to a Living Hope through the

  95. resurrection of Jesus Christ. From the dead to an inheritance

  96. Incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away.

  97. Reserved in heaven for you notice also John 3 and verse 16

  98. for God. So loved the world that he gave

  99. his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth In him

  100. should not perish but have everlasting life.

  101. Those are the blessings that we have in the cross and the

  102. crucifixion and the death burial and resurrection of Jesus

  103. Christ. What blessings?

  104. What wonderful blessings. We have the blessing to be able

  105. to gather together this morning to remember Jesus.

  106. And what he did for us we have a blessing being able to come

  107. together as a body of Christ and we even though we worry about

  108. someone maybe stepping through this door, what a blessing we

  109. have this morning in Christ. We thank you for listening to
