  1. Morning everybody. It's good to see everyone here

  2. this morning and it's good to be here this morning, telling one,

  3. brother this morning. I can't remember not coming to

  4. Bakersfield. I was raised in LA and we always

  5. either stop by here in the way up North.

  6. The, we came here to see somebody and little bitty guy.

  7. I remember coming here, told him I had my first hayride here, I'm

  8. a city boy first hayride at dwell on Nancy's place when I

  9. was a kid. So thank you for the memories

  10. and thank you for being the good people that you.

  11. Are you able to do those things for us?

  12. We pray. That continues.

  13. This morning, I'm going to have little baseball theme.

  14. Hope that's okay. Call the Dream Team.

  15. When I was a kid, I used to always like to follow baseball

  16. up closer than I do. Now had baseball cards and

  17. everything and even adults like to see how they get two teams

  18. together, the beginning of the year.

  19. How do you start picking folks, getting rid of folks doing those

  20. kinds of things and every organization has her different

  21. priorities. Christy all want to be in the

  22. World Series every team does. That's what they're trying to

  23. do. But are there batting averages

  24. the PG&E Ras? All those different things and

  25. every team us to recruit the best team.

  26. They could have the Dream Team. I got to thinking about my dream

  27. team. If I had a baseball team at

  28. Dream Team, what would it be? The names of my team would

  29. probably be different to some of the younger people here, names?

  30. You had not recognized Maury Wills, people like that, that

  31. are older folks, but in my day were very good, but you might

  32. have a dream team. You might think about, not

  33. follow this kinds of things, there's a player and went to

  34. Fresno State. This alumni there, that I follow

  35. him. Pretty close.

  36. He's not on my favorite team, but I follow him because he'd be

  37. one. That would be on my dream team.

  38. Well, the second thing I think about We also thought about that

  39. when I was working at the shop, I worked at a body shop for many

  40. years. And then when the first idea,

  41. first came up about a dream team was, when I was in the shop,

  42. we're having some problems, some employees.

  43. Some employers who just really didn't care.

  44. They didn't like their trade. It's almost like we got by five

  45. in spite of some of these people than be rather than, because of

  46. these people in the shop. Got think what?

  47. How much my coworkers are really light.

  48. We sat down one day and thought about a dream team.

  49. How would you like to have a dream team in the shop?

  50. How much we could get done in the shop?

  51. We had the right folks. Here you're talking about some

  52. of our instructors from the trade schools.

  53. We went to some of the painters who we knew some of these other

  54. folks. Some of the guys that were

  55. really good be encountered you know they could come and they're

  56. just really make a really nice efficient shot.

  57. Get quality work done. We used to wonder about that

  58. their go home thinking about this some days.

  59. I really wish we had some of these guys here so you guys we

  60. have working with here just not You can say in they're not

  61. really adequate. Some are good Craftsman, but

  62. they just really weren't going to employees, you might say, but

  63. in spite of everything, when I retired, many of them were still

  64. there and they were still being inefficient, never still not

  65. putting out as much as we should have always kept that in mind, a

  66. dream. See how much it would have been

  67. along with those thoughts also came Jesus?

  68. When he prayed some time for some folks, one time he prayed

  69. all night before he chose some people.

  70. Luke records. Jesus been an entire night in

  71. prayer before he chose the Twelve Disciples in Luke chapter

  72. chapter 6. Verses 12 through 16, the Bible

  73. says this, can it pass in those days?

  74. Is he went out into a mountain to pray.

  75. It continued all night in prayer to God, I wouldn't with stay he

  76. called them to his disciples. The me.

  77. Chose twelve whom also he named Apostles Simon.

  78. Movie. Whom he also named Peter and

  79. Andrew, his brother, James, and John, Philip, Bartholomew,

  80. Matthew, and Thomas James, the son of alphaeus and Simon is

  81. lotus. And Judas, the brother of James

  82. and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor.

  83. He's been all night in prayer before he chose these 12 people.

  84. If you're to have a perfect sport, seemed a perfect

  85. workplace. You might see a perfect

  86. congregation congregation is the same way.

  87. We sometimes wish we had different people, don't we,

  88. which would be had more efficient people.

  89. We wish these things. Look at each other, the same way

  90. sometimes, even though we shouldn't, but we do, but think

  91. about this, if you want to have a perfect church and people are

  92. going to give the instructions, like the Great Commission did,

  93. remember what Jesus told these people in Matthew, 28:19-20

  94. going there for? And teach All Nations, baptizing

  95. them in the name of the Father, the Son of the Holy Ghost,

  96. teaching them to observe all things whatsoever.

  97. I have commanded you and lo I am with you even all the way into

  98. the end of the world. He prayed all night and the

  99. people who prayed for, we're going to take this right here

  100. when he left this Earth and never again, spread the gospel

  101. throughout the world. What they did is because that's

  102. what we have the church today because they were efficient Look

  103. at what Jesus got, Luke. He had to deal with.

  104. We're going to look at these guys real quick.

  105. I think if we have sports cards needs guys, what would they say?

  106. They would be empty. We know how the world looks at

  107. things. This is wonder, he's 12 could be

  108. an answer to any prayer. The Son of God prayed all night

  109. and he got these 12, people is included included, a trailer,

  110. which was Judas, Peter and impulsive person and sometimes a

  111. hothead. You might say, who once was told

  112. that Satan had a hold on him in Matthew. 8, + 33, the Bible,

  113. says Peter reboot. Jesus Jesus said, get thee with,

  114. get thee behind me, Satan So here you have a fellow here has

  115. Satan following him around, trying to get him to go his way.

  116. You see what happened? Then that Jesus was teaching

  117. Garden would be. He was crucified then.

  118. I've was crucified. Matthew the tax collector, whose

  119. career is not. The most honest respected.

  120. You wouldn't have good, attend your house.

  121. That's beep of IRS over for dinner.

  122. Invite some of the folks. See how many show up It's have a

  123. Matthew. Did he had a nephews?

  124. He catches over his house for dinner.

  125. After you met Jesus, guess who came all those kinds of folks,

  126. There are also a few fishermen are not usually known for their

  127. scholarly credentials, Peter and Andrew they weren't really

  128. Scholars, like Paul was were they really weren't that way.

  129. A lot of the others you occupations and most of the

  130. history is not even known. The way the world looks at the

  131. be bunch of nobodies, that wouldn't be the people you would

  132. choose. You're going to choose the world

  133. as you choose 12 people right now to spread the gospel.

  134. It wouldn't be a bunch of nobodies.

  135. They'd be credentials or beanie, all kinds of different folks,

  136. but that's not the way. Jesus looks at it.

  137. If I, we've been given these 12, learn responsibility, there are

  138. going to have I would have been worried.

  139. Look at the backgrounds of who they were of all the people

  140. available at that day and time, that Jesus could be used to

  141. spread the gospel when he prayed.

  142. He got these 12 as he lesson to all of us.

  143. The Great Commission was to be in their shoulders.

  144. It's you might say a bunch of minor Leaguers put in the major

  145. leagues. That's kind of what it was but

  146. you Benchwarmers putting the playing field but you know

  147. that's that's the way it is. So we deal with inadequacy, you

  148. know that's the others being up here.

  149. I'm before preacher Frankie I'm a format these other people and

  150. I'm just a retired blue-collar guy, you know but I'm doing my

  151. best because that's what these people did.

  152. These people did their best and look what happened just left the

  153. responsibilities friending gospel to where it was left up

  154. to these guys. And to me, that's the so

  155. amazing. That's why I love the story

  156. following these people. What they turned into this

  157. should be a lesson to us. The Lord does not look at things

  158. like we do. First Samuel, 16:7, the Bible

  159. says, this is speaking of, when David was chosen to be Keen, but

  160. the Lord said unto Samuel, look not on his countenance or on the

  161. height of his stature because I refused him.

  162. The Lord seeth, not as man seeth from, and look at the outward

  163. appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.

  164. Remember what they've done. They take all the Davis brothers

  165. from paraded him before the prophet, because he was going to

  166. anoint the king, their prey to all of them, except for the Runt

  167. of the litter you might say except for David, he was

  168. tending, the Sheep, they never dreamed it would be David.

  169. But it was not as man seated. Finally, we got all diocese or

  170. any more Sons, the way I got one over there, bring him and he was

  171. to be the king, not as men looked at it.

  172. They all thought the king would be like, this brother are like

  173. this brother like this brother, that's not the way God looked at

  174. it, all. That's why it says that first

    1 Samuel 16:7

  175. Samuel 16 verse 7, we needed to save thing.

  176. Jesus did the same thing when he got those twelve who looked like

  177. Jesus does because he sees the heart.

  178. He's who we really are. We see, we come here, we try to

  179. be creative. It's good to each other.

  180. We are it compassionate folks. Good Christian folks but Jesus

  181. sees us away from here. He's is who we really are.

  182. That's when you remember that. Cuz he did with these folks.

  183. The ones that might not fit in. they did, they fit in exactly

  184. right with Jesus wanted them to This always remember to view the

  185. world has Jesus does not as the world does not this influence

  186. that that's much this day and time.

  187. The fluence of the world is a scary thing, but we have so much

  188. information, fun of us. A lot of his faults, we have it.

  189. All. There is really, really hard

  190. that influence not to enter into our families, our personal lives

  191. and even in the church since we have to just remember and do a

  192. timeout take. Okay.

  193. We need to stop and think stop and think just Take your time

  194. out. Stop and think about where the

  195. world is influencing your life where it might even squeeze into

  196. the church. Your family think about those

  197. things and be very careful. Look at things like Jesus would

  198. look at things, like the world looks at things.

  199. That's very, very important based on our day and time the

  200. highest have the eyes of Jesus because world of politics would

  201. have religion were to Hollywood and Gates and Buffett.

  202. All these things they can influence us.

  203. They can carry over sudden when we don't even Realize it because

  204. it's so slow. But to be so careful, look at

  205. things like. Jesus did not like the people

  206. did when they were picking the king, the good things like

  207. Godless There's an old saying that says you won't be judged

  208. by. How intelligent or how

  209. knowledgeable You Are by how well you will be.

  210. The Bible says you be known by your works.

  211. I'll bet you did. Think about that, God looks at

  212. things. Much differently.

  213. Not just knowledge intelligence by how well you obeyed the

  214. fisherman. He chose think about that.

  215. They weren't Scholars, were they?

  216. It was a really good group of folks, here.

  217. Good group of folks at home. It's refreshing to look out and

  218. see the good group of folks. We have here we have at home

  219. makes me feel good about the future of the church.

  220. A lot of possibilities, you know, got Frankie working for

  221. you. Here we got shot, he come to

  222. force, a clovis, trying to work on these things really, really

  223. hard. It's refreshing after flushing,

  224. so we're going to use this, but we can't let Satan get in the

  225. way. We just can't do that as he was

  226. with Peter calling Peter. You think we're immune the, he's

  227. Not following us like he was Peter be very very careful.

  228. We all should be doing our best well in 3D wedges.

  229. If anything happened to the world to prevent us from doing

  230. these things. The apostles, these mid

  231. 12-member throwing, all kinds of things, run out of you, follow

  232. their lives. You follow throughout the Book

  233. of Acts. What they did?

  234. You follow things with your, they're all kinds of things were

  235. thrown at them, but they rebuked everything.

  236. They had a tough time, did they? Yes, they did.

  237. They had a real tough time, but did they do it yet?

  238. The Satan try to get on way to progress.

  239. She sure did But they still strove on and they strove on and

  240. they strove on this work, we need to do it's amazing to me

  241. what these men did. Because they did what they did.

  242. Look how things turned out. This mismatch of common men

  243. miss, you turned into fantastic leaders.

  244. They were amazing men, but we have to remember too that they

  245. weren't perfect. So now the acted just like, some

  246. of us do they disagree? They had little spats.

  247. It did those things. Matthew chapter 22 was

    Matthew 22 chapter mention

  248. discussion about placing the Kingdom of Heaven.

  249. Matthew chapter 20 verses 20 through 24.

    Matthew 20:20–24

  250. The Bible says this, this is The Human Side of them.

  251. The game behind the mother of zebedee's children with her

  252. son's worshipping him and Desiring, a certain thing of

  253. him. And he said, unto her, What?

  254. Wilt thou? She said to him, grant that

  255. these, my two sons me, sit the one on the right hand the other

  256. on the left and the kingdom. Jesus answered and said, you

  257. know, not what ye ask, are you able to drink of the cup that I

  258. shall drink of and to be baptized with the baptism that I

  259. am baptized with this. And then we are able.

  260. He said to them, you shall indeed drink of my cup and be

  261. baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with but to sit on

  262. my My right hand and on my left is not mine to give, but it

  263. shall be given to them. For whom is prepared for by

  264. prepared of my father with ten heard it, they were moved with

  265. indignation against the to Brethren You know, I visas.

  266. They were displeased here, they had a discussion and they agreed

  267. with currently. All of them are involved, And

  268. the others were upset because they might get it just like us,

  269. little difference, the human element of it there.

  270. Yes, milk. So many today.

  271. But what about me? What about me?

  272. They're going to get it. What about me?

  273. This. Like today we need to be very

  274. careful about these things. Where the human?

  275. Yes, did you overcome these things?

  276. Yes they did. They got over these things

  277. because he worked for Superior cause they came what they

  278. overcame the incidentals for the important.

  279. They learn to separate the sheep from the goats no more forget

  280. when I was younger. I lied signs, the signs of

  281. maturity, I learned this, I'll never forget it.

  282. I used to worship the congregation Rose Hollywood, it

  283. was a tree out front. Some brother liked and some

  284. brother. And didn't one brother came and

  285. trim that tree. And really didn't do a good job

  286. of it. I remember that.

  287. So, my other brother like the tree, he kind of got upset 84

  288. doing it without talking to the brother and then not a conflict.

  289. It had very heated discussion in might say about the who do that

  290. future. The next Sunday, there was some

  291. church issues. It's amazing to me how those

  292. brother all of a sudden on the same page, but the serious

  293. Church issues the tree. Yeah, they're upset about the

  294. tree but they're like, that's, that's the tree.

  295. But this is the church. This is different.

  296. I never forget that as long as the sign of maturity, to be able

  297. to separate things, from what happens to the trivial in your

  298. lives. You might say or the small

  299. things, the things that are really, really important effect.

  300. The salvations of folks, the fact that family lives of folks,

  301. Effective spiritual aspect of your lives, very important.

  302. We understand those thing. Be able to separate one preacher

  303. said that sheeps and goats. So it's really really important.

  304. Realize what's really, really important trimming the tree.

  305. Yeah, we can get over that. But this is what's really

  306. important over here. I realized that I would remember

  307. that is done be good. Through the years, you've looked

  308. through the New Testament, the story, these men through acts.

  309. You'll see, they went through these kinds of things and this

  310. little things the same way they realized what was really

  311. important. What's not?

  312. And he tried to teach that. And your relationship,

  313. everything. This lesson we have to also have

  314. to learn to work with what we have that's hard to do some

  315. time. But you really might be

  316. surprised working with what you have.

  317. So you don't know what it's going to turn into the also be

  318. careful about swimming things about other people because

  319. they're did this they're going to be like this, you think?

  320. Because one thing that did they're going to be like the all

  321. the time, be very careful about so many things about other

  322. people because that's a very dangerous area to be explain why

  323. in just a few minutes. For get to that.

  324. I want to say one more another part here.

  325. That's how much salt about with these 12, you ever think how

  326. they felt when Judas betrayed them and betrayed Christ.

  327. How they felt when he did that they've been together.

  328. Obviously he had tricked him too because he wants to suspect any

  329. of them. Judas was good.

  330. He was slick. Think about the behavior of The

  331. Garden of Gethsemane. What happened, if the Garden of

  332. Gethsemane, they were in shock, all what happened?

  333. Fact it says Iran. Shocked us astonishment,

  334. depression, and fear. I have written down here.

  335. We talked about Peter being the wonderful cook them, but let's

  336. read this. Matthew chapter 26, verses 55.

    Matthew 26:55

  337. And 56 of Bible says this the same, our Jesus said unto the

  338. multitudes, it's when they coming to get them are you

  339. coming out against as a are you come out as against a thief with

  340. swords and staves for to take me a dataset with you teaching in

  341. the temple and you lay your hand on me.

  342. But all this was done that the scriptures of the prophets Might

  343. be fulfilled, then all the disciples forsook him and fled.

  344. As soon as Peter was it. That happened.

  345. And the next stage, you just did after that, Judas killed

  346. himself. The next day, Jesus was dead.

  347. This all happened so fast doing. Jesus, remember they were at the

  348. asking who beat this Kingdom sitting right hand?

  349. The left hand of Jesus and not long after that.

  350. Here. All of a sudden you have a woman

  351. betrayed them, that person committed suicide.

  352. Jesus Is Dead real quick. Let me take him like now what's

  353. next? Their world was falling.

  354. Apart is collapsing, just like what happened?

  355. All the promises other things that Jesus said what happened,

  356. all those, as many people today. They don't, they didn't get it

  357. yet. When you complete a, don't get

  358. it yet. There's a hint of this in the

  359. store and the road to Emmaus. Now, Luke chapter 14, Luke 24,

    Luke 14 chapter mention

  360. excuse me, Luke 24. We're going to start reading in

  361. verse 13. Bible says, is remember, this is

  362. after these things happen. This is how some of these folks

  363. felt it says, and behold the two of them, with the same way to a

  364. village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore

  365. furlongs and they taught together all talk together of

  366. all these things which had happened came to pass that while

  367. the commune together and reasoned Jesus himself Drew near

  368. and went with him. But their eyes were holding that

  369. they should not know him. And he said unto them, what

  370. manner of communications are these that ye have one to

  371. another as you walk and are sad. But one of them whose name is

  372. cleopas. Answering said unto him art the

  373. only a stranger in Jerusalem and has not known the things which

  374. are come to pass their and these days, he said to them, what

  375. things they said unto him concerning Jesus of Nazareth,

  376. which was a prophet Mighty in deed and word before God, and

  377. all the people and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered

  378. him to be condemned to death. Have crucified him, but we

  379. trusted that it had been, he who should have redeemed, Israel.

  380. He said all this today is the third day since these things

  381. were done. Yay.

  382. In a certain women also of our company made its astonished

  383. which early at the Sepulchre when he found not his body, they

  384. came saying that they had seen a vision.

  385. They also seen a vision of angels And said that he was

  386. alive at certain of them. Which are with us once it's up

  387. liquor and found it even. So as women had said but him,

  388. they saw not need that. He said unto them o fools, slow

  389. of heart to believe and all of the prophets have spoken.

  390. I'm not Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into

  391. his glory and beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he

  392. expounded unto them and all the scriptures, the things

  393. concerning himself, they had that doubt the world's falling

  394. apart. What?

  395. Now you see supposed to happen, it They're confused and puzzles.

  396. What to do next? It happened so fast, but what

  397. did they do? It wasn't very long.

  398. The overcame would it be ever overcame the overcame and they

  399. rebounded, This is many other folks did Abraham and Isaac

  400. Abraham was asked to kill the son.

  401. Think about where he went after that.

  402. Think about Job Jonah, David Moses think my inadequacies I

  403. took it less than ni cohesive story of Moses when he felt, he

  404. wasn't good enough. He contributed God God's.

  405. I want you to do is to go the people with whom either.

  406. Get listen to me. He went on and on and on

  407. everything that Moses had a complaint about God had it.

  408. Rebound to know there's Moses you have no excuse, you feel,

  409. you're not a good but you can do it.

  410. Well I can't do because of this or God would give them a reason

  411. I can't do. Because of this God would give

  412. them a reason. And you feel you're inadequate,

  413. go read the story of Moses, how he really felt.

  414. I want. God told him, send me these

  415. guys. Would Jesus died.

  416. How they feel? They really get it all yet, they

  417. did soon after. But the time they didn't, Listen

  418. for us when my world is collapsing.

  419. Hang in there. Don't give up.

  420. Don't leave to go back and go to fishing and repeat. 100 did they

  421. went back and they went fishing but they come.

  422. They came back from that didn't make it.

  423. When they books, these folks realize that Jesus was still

  424. with them. He reassured them and acts. 1:3

    Acts 1:3

  425. says, when he came back, he spent 40 days with him when he

  426. came back, he thought would have had someone come back from the

  427. dead but he's guys Road to Mass. Later on after that Jesus

  428. revealed himself to them, and they knew who it was here.

  429. Jesus said, spent 40 days with them.

  430. When they see that / preparation did a lot.

  431. That cleared up many things. They got it.

  432. Then after that, they got it. They're finally ready to go here

  433. at the Greg commission, the world.

  434. It's amazing what he's unqualified and called

  435. inadequate. Men went through until they

  436. died. One example is next 4:13.

  437. The Bible says this, now then when they saw the boldness of

  438. Peter and John perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant

  439. men, they marled, they took knowledge of them.

  440. They had been with Jesus, Unlearned ignorant.

  441. Men, in other words, these guys weren't Scholars and they're

  442. doing these things, but there was a Jesus that made the

  443. difference, that makes a difference in our lives,

  444. wouldn't have to be Scholars. We would Jesus, that makes the

  445. difference that made the difference with them because

  446. they did what they did. They blazed the trail, they did

  447. look where we're at today. They hadn't done that.

  448. Obviously, those 12 were the right people but not once I can

  449. see, we would have picked that's what the world thought of them

  450. unlearned and ignorant people. But we remember what Jesus

  451. thought of them, Satan. God thought of David Those guys

  452. played a Trill, I guess a week only had three would respect at

  453. all. Going through this, I think of

  454. people in the church and my past never discount, our brother and

  455. our preachers meta what the world rather think of them.

  456. As many people like this congregation others are

  457. hardworking, folks, many of them under the radar.

  458. You might say, we don't ever hear about, even some preachers

  459. to wonderful things. We don't hear about working on

  460. the radar. You might say, trying to the

  461. same thing. He's been were doing their best.

  462. That's all we can in essence doing our best.

  463. My best returns may not be what you think it should be.

  464. Maybe sometimes I should do better.

  465. I get in this morning, you might criticize my lesson.

  466. Think I should have done better. I miss this, I missed that but

  467. I'm doing my best. I'm up here, trying to do my

  468. best to spread the word of God. Hopefully we will make an impact

  469. on your life's. Not what I said.

  470. But hard present, this hopefully will help you.

  471. I'm doing my best to do that. We all should do our best to do

  472. that. Not one is evident like right

  473. now in our lives. Everything in allies was evident

  474. Because God always knows what you're doing and he knows your

  475. heart. That's what these men did.

  476. It was 24/7 for these men. It wasn't just a certain times.

  477. Next time you happy performs your life.

  478. Remember when you pray for something, remember what Jesus

  479. got, we always get what you want.

  480. You made me give it. Jesus wants you to have may not

  481. always be the same. When you pray for those 12,

  482. remember that, that choice was preceded by night of prayer, we

  483. chose your member prayer is important, prayer does wonders,

  484. Peter was out of prison Acts chapter 12.

    Acts 12 chapter mention

  485. The story is told in 11 verses 11 through 17, they went out the

  486. first place you went with stuff, the Christian ladies home which

  487. he knew that was a safe place. He could go to and what do you

  488. find him doing there? They're praying.

  489. They'll definitely wrote it. Come to the door.

  490. There are prey to the house of Mary.

  491. Isn't that amazing? What they were doing and they

  492. were praying? What would Peter Doug?

  493. They thought he was going to die.

  494. Also, he's out of prison knocking on the door.

  495. Her prayers were answered, weren't they?

  496. Prayers were answered. They're absolutely wanted him to

  497. it that time but sometimes it's a little different, you're

  498. praying for brother and danger and have need and it remember it

  499. is never wrong to pray. Providence, teachers a bad time

  500. to pray. Pray without ceasing.

  501. Always, pray. As you know, they're probably

  502. never quit. Praying.

  503. It means you continue. Always pray everyday, you

  504. continue praying, that's what that means.

  505. Continue praying. Don't discount folks, like I

  506. said, the Lord don't see folks like we do.

  507. I know of as a young man or the teenager one fellow who spent

  508. time in jail, And of another fellow had problems with alcohol

  509. substance abuse and devotees brother.

  510. And he got in trouble when they were young, And now that they're

  511. older guys. Those people don't remember

  512. those things I do. They also think about me when I

  513. was young so we don't come on telling each other, we got too

  514. much but their leaders in churches right now they have

  515. children or good Christians or good family men but his young

  516. men it brother would have discounted them of told him.

  517. You're bad, is not dealt with them, we just got rid of them.

  518. Think what would have happened to these Brethren?

  519. Where would they be now? But because of brother and saw

  520. these kids just don't despise the youth as a big meaning to

  521. it. Don't despise the youth.

  522. We can't discount folks like that.

  523. You could have just gotten these fishermen do not need the other

  524. guys, we know nothing about him, who are these guys would be

  525. preaching? The gospel have the Great

  526. Commission who are these guys. Jesus didn't discount him.

  527. Did he? We don't need to Discount folks

  528. is some of these kids that were two troublemakers and

  529. rabble-rousers and cause problems in every young some of

  530. them are other ones are leaders in the church.

  531. Today doing a very good job. So we have to be careful like I

  532. say, but thinking about those things, We can't do is try look

  533. for something better. We're trying to convert people,

  534. we have in our minds, sometimes we convert people, what they're

  535. going to be, turn them into, where they come from, people

  536. that come in the door, where the walk-ins, who they are, can

  537. invent of mine, who would fit conversion, who wouldn't put

  538. conversion. We think about these things.

  539. Well, we need to rethink about these things because sometimes

  540. we're trying to build our own dream team, but sometimes it may

  541. look like the Bad News. Bears is that one movie is maybe

  542. that way the sort of First Corinthians chapter 6 Three

    1 Corinthians 6 chapter mention

  543. verses 9 through 11. I'll have to read this because

  544. it's very humbling of how some people perceive the church and

  545. how the church really was. We all know that your to Corinth

  546. had a lot of issues, but let's read this, little series is

  547. scripted. First Corinthians chapter 6

    1 Corinthians 6:9–11

  548. verses 9 through 11. Know, ye not that.

  549. The unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

  550. Be not deceived neither. Fornicators nor idolaters nor

  551. adulterers nor effeminate nor abusers of themselves.

  552. With mankind, nor thieves nor Covetous, nor drunkards, nor

  553. revilers nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God.

  554. As such were, some of you, you're washed your Sanctified,

  555. you Justified the a lord Jesus by the spirit of our God such as

  556. summary year. I got to thinking who would I

  557. sit by? Who would I have my kids?

  558. Bye. Well, yeah, it's you think about

  559. those things, but there's those folks were Christians such as

  560. were some of you. You can become a Christian.

  561. No one is immune from Christianity.

  562. Everybody can become Christian good to very careful.

  563. We think of who can't who can't become a Christian in our minds

  564. because we just never know who can become a Christian.

  565. My father was a baptized until he was after retiring, he's an

  566. older guy at my sister called to tell me that he'd been baptized

  567. first thing. She said, was she need to sit

  568. down God, I never dream my dad lied, to my dad told Trent, I

  569. never dreamed. He would be baptized, I never

  570. did. I course I shouldn't shouldn't

  571. have felt that way. That was wrong.

  572. But I knew my dad pretty good. I never felt he would do it when

  573. I found out he did. I was good thing.

  574. I was sitting down. It was very emotional for me to

  575. do that. I was wrong because I discounted

  576. my My dad, but when I talked to him afterwards, he told me the

  577. reason is not talk to Laverne lumps.

  578. One, the baptized him, I talked to Laverne about these things,

  579. it all made sense, it all kind of came together.

  580. It's a lot of things that I didn't know that made it all

  581. come together. I didn't know the stories are

  582. brought it together and God bless laverna for doing what he

  583. did because of him. My dad was a, be the gospel.

  584. My dad's passed away. Now, we have some comfort.

  585. That's what it's all about. That was my own father who I had

  586. doubts about. We have people in our world, we

  587. probably have doubts do all day. Bitcoin creation and went.

  588. Hey wait time out. Time out, waiting Think Jesus

  589. prayed all night. Look what he got.

  590. Think about those kinds of things.

  591. Don't discount these things. Look at this.

  592. What it says in Corinthians here is his chapter verses 9 through

  593. 11. Look at those folks, we can't

  594. discount people And I lie is you must remember the Lord might

  595. have plans for us in our Circle. We might not know about Peter

  596. and all them. They didn't know what their

  597. future would be. Jesus said come follow me, they

  598. didn't know what plans, he had at that moment in time.

  599. They didn't know what the Great Commission.

  600. They didn't all these things. When Matthew walked away, he

  601. didn't know what was going to happen.

  602. He didn't know what what places they would have in the Lord's.

  603. Will you might say they had no idea neither do we?

  604. That's what we think about. Think about that, need to keep

  605. yourself ready. So if you do have a place in

  606. Lord's, will is something comes up.

  607. You're prepared to do it. That's what you need to do.

  608. Keep yourself. Spiritually healthy.

  609. But Jenna was alive and she had the MS.

  610. He was so bad. The doctors always told her do

  611. something cure for this but you're working get yourself as

  612. healthy as you can. So if a cure does come, you're a

  613. candidate for one. That's what kept her going so

  614. many years, but she want to become be candidate for one.

  615. We asked the doctors ever once wanted was something out there.

  616. She could be a candidate for, that's what drove her to do that

  617. as Christians. We kind of have to have that

  618. same thing. Make sure we're able to fulfill

  619. the will of God be ready for whatever.

  620. It's not just be standing back. The baseball thing.

  621. Again we're not to be in the bleachers.

  622. We got to be in a field. We can be on the bench, it takes

  623. people on the bench. Got to have a strong bench and

  624. have bad boy too. Get up all kinds of different

  625. books. Different roles.

  626. Yes we do. It's all the way but we all got.

  627. We all gotta suit up. Are going to be down there with

  628. play that day or not. We got to be down there.

  629. We never know what's going to happen.

  630. Do we same thing in life? He's can have some things in

  631. store for some of you and only he knows you don't.

  632. Be ready. Disciples of all, we had to be

  633. ready. Waiting, they're receptive to

  634. God's word, that's important. Receptive to God's word, with

  635. Johnny Omer, you stories, he uses was someone who would be

  636. someone who is teachable. If you're not teachable, you got

  637. a problem. He loved people who are teaching

  638. the apostles were teachable, it listen to Jesus.

  639. They learned faith comes by hearing hearing by the word of

  640. God, I'm Tim 17, that's how it works.

  641. That's how it worked in that is how it works.

  642. And now we need the same kind of people today.

  643. Brave people like that. Think about that.

  644. You think baseball, analogy is maybe not fitting but you know

  645. what, we're bought with the price was at least make a lot of

  646. money, we're about with the price, we need to suit up.

  647. We need to do these things. Doesn't matter what position we

  648. fulfill. Your honor roster were, there

  649. were about with the price we belong to him.

  650. It's not all about me, me me, she Keepers keep him God and his

  651. righteousness stuff, keeping the back your head, all the time,

  652. all throughout the day. What kept me in on the

  653. straightener, you might see throughout the day when I was

  654. working, James 4:17, there him note to do, good, do it, and not

    James 4:17

  655. to him, to send, start your day, doing something.

  656. Is this a good thing to do or not?

  657. Replying to one of your co-workers, it does something

  658. bad to you. You're falling back timeout

  659. again. This is good thing to do or not

  660. difficult to do good, and doeth Analysis in.

  661. Do that with your lives. They did that.

  662. They did good. They had to stop and think,

  663. sometimes, but they did. That's what they did.

  664. You're bought with a price. We've already been drafted.

  665. Were there we need to remember this morning.

  666. They'll never be another day in our lives were not live

  667. somewhere. Will be alive somewhere over

  668. our, the choice is ours. Jesus, when he died where he

  669. went, he talks about this, speak to Dead coming up with a meeting

  670. him in the air. We have a choice where we want

  671. to be what we want to do. Like about the choice.

  672. Generation has been that way since New Testament times, we

  673. have a choice to make this morning this morning, hopefully,

  674. you heard the gospel. It says, I said worked in Romans

    Romans 10:17

  675. 10:17. Faith comes by hearing hearing

  676. by the word of God. You have to believe he believed

  677. in baptized shall be saved. Leave not shall be down Mark

    Mark 16:16

  678. 16:16. Real important verse.

  679. Let's hear your opinion shoot. You'll perish for 13 313 five.

  680. That's pretty clear. Let's you repent.

  681. You will all likewise perish confessed.

  682. A great confession was done. When filled up in unique, Philip

  683. baptized the unique about transmission of sins.

  684. Acts 2:38, most of you are familiar with that.

    Acts 2:38

  685. Apostle Paul in his converted be baptized washing away.

  686. Your sins calling on the name of the Lord.

  687. That's what baptism does. If you've done those things and

  688. you straight away from the Lord, You're not where you should be.

  689. As some folks on the outside. Are you want starts with a clean

  690. slate? You can become a Christian to

  691. start with a clean slate. When you leave here, B is one of

  692. those and meet him in the air. If you're Christian, you've

  693. aired, you think you need to have that slate clean member

  694. would it be a good thing this morning to come?

  695. Make sure you have a clean slate.

  696. They're him noted a good do, it's not time to send remember

  697. that this morning. We thank you for listening to
