EP 456 | The Family Tree of Jesus Christ - Greg Branch 1/30/22

I don't know about you. But with me, as I grew up and

beginning to start reading the New Testament, first of all, and

then, as I grew up, it seemed like.

Every time we had this reading, it's like, what do you do with

the first 16 verses of Matthew Chapter 1?

What if that's your chapter steady?

What do you do with it? And, you know, the easy point is

to say, look, this just helps us prove that Jesus had the lineage

that he supposed to have. But now, Paul told Timothy says,

all scripture is given by the inspiration of God, it's

profitable for Doctrine for reproof for correction for

instruction, in righteousness. That the man of God may be

complete thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

So, what can we learn then? From the family tree of Jesus,

that might be profitable for Doctrine, reproof.

Correction and instruction A couple of years ago.

I decided it's time that I figured that out.

If if I can figure it out yet, and honestly, I was just kind of

like I'm still blown away. I haven't had the chance to

preach this very many times. So, Wade, warned me this morning

says, okay. Now it's going to be on the

website, so anywhere you go to preach a meeting, you know,

expect they're going to have heard it.

So can you at least give me till June.

The end of June, I've got three meetings and they'll be done

this year and after that But what, we're going to study to

me, I hope I can bring this off with the aha moment for you that

I felt when it it started to click when you back up into

Matthew chapter 1 says the book of the genealogy of Jesus

Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.

I'm not into genealogy. We have some different members

in the church at Oakdale that are really into it.

And there's one in particular and I get it now, why he's?

So, To it. He was actually a man, young man

that was brought to church because he was dating one of the

girls from church. And you guys may know Merlin

Tiffany Richardson used to be anyway.

I'm not going to go down the family lines of genealogy but he

thought he was first generation met it, Riverbank High School

and they dated got married. He happened to go back to a

Fourth of July meeting with her one year in Missouri.

And on the way because he's in the genealogies is like while we

were there. He says, I understand some of

our family were actually Richard sons and he knew where they were

from. He says, I want to go and try to

connect and see if we can make it his people when they came

West had to change their name to Richardson for legal reasons.

you know, you know, Todd Richardson, the preacher turns

out they're cousins, His people go back to this and this was

like for him, I'm getting chills thinking about just how he feels

about it. He thought he was the first

generation and so, genealogy to him, he's all the time asking me

about my people. And I don't know, I wish Evelyn

was here today because she kind of represents that for our

family. She's my Dad's cousin.

And I know nothing really about her.

Until I was here, one Sunday, and, and she was making

connections for me, and I thought that is really cool.

Jesus has a genealogy that sometimes and in the Just admit

it. I just blew through it like I

can't wait to get onto his birth.

And not even realizing where he came from.

He's a son of David, the son of Abraham, Abraham, begat, Isaac,

and Isaac begat, Jacob, Jacob, begat Judah and his brothers and

Judas, begat Perez and zerah, by Tamar the reason Perez and zamar

Perez and zerah are talked about here is because they're twins.

So usually when you read about this, you're going to hear just

one. But these two came out as Twins

and its really interesting as we go, let's consider just so you

know, a little bit about his family.

You know who Abraham is and you know Isaac and you know Jacob we

heard of your god of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and you probably

know enough to say. And so I won't spend time saying

much about the fact that Jacob really wasn't are he didn't have

the birthright to have all this happen through him but you

remember Esau sold it for a bowl of beans.

See, he didn't realize what he was given away and this is

exactly what he saw was given away.

I mean, there was other things that came with it, but there's

nothing like being the are the bloodline of the Messiah.

I mean we're so proud of our kids were so great.

It's awesome. When we hear good things about

them, it's awesome when we see them being able to take care of

things on their own and we see them progressing, can you

imagine what it would be like? Be like, for those that could

say, that's my grandson, that's my great grandson.

Jacob seen to understand this. I don't know why or what?

Or if you even understand the depth, I'm sure he did not but

he did understand the birthright and Jacob begat Judah.

Now, if you know much about Judy, you're like how is this?

Because Judo wasn't the oldest You know, the fact is there are

certain things about this. That's fascinating to me.

First of all, Judah was the third son of Leah?

Now you might remember the other two had curses against them one

because he laid with his father's concubine ruined it.

The other two were just Wicked people.

They lost it and so when it came time for blessing, Judah was the

first that was able to even receive it.

It's fascinating to me that he wasn't even the son of the one

who Jacob loved. Remember Jacob was absolutely in

love with Rachel. Who wouldn't be in love with

Rachel. But he got tricked and had to

marry Leah and then wait to marry Rachel.

The bloodline that led to Jesus didn't even go through Jacobs

love. See God sees things different

than we do. That's what we're beginning to

learn already with this this, this lineage and it wasn't

Joseph. I mean, Joseph, there's so much

written about Joseph. We know so many things about the

details of Joseph's life, but yet, that's not where this

bloodline, that's not where it comes from.

In fact, it was Judah. The one who the bloodline came

through. This was part of selling Joseph

for twenty shekels of silver that was the price of a Slave.

His grandson would be sold for thirty shekels inflation.

The price of a Slave. You got to go down to judah's

great. Great grandson in Matthew 26 15.

You see where we're going. You know, this is the genealogy

of Jesus. He had Judah by Tamar.

Now, this is all recorded in Genesis chapter 38.

Genesis 38 · chapter mention

Tamar Tamar, are you pronounce? It was actually his

daughter-in-law. His son earlier was wicked, and

God killed him before he and Tamar had children.

And so, it was by the Old Law. The next in line had to take it.

The next son was Onan and so he was given to her to continue the

bloodline. He was unfaithful to God

scriptures, say God killed him Judah, now is getting nervous,

he promised Shayla the youngest son but then he didn't ever

really let it happen. He sent her to her father's

house in her widows garments, but he was afraid, she would

die. He thought that Tamar was like

I'm going to lose all my kids because they're married her.

She's bad luck. He didn't give her to her and

Tamar realized this. Well, judah's wife dies.

And then he begins to seek companionship.

I don't want to go in the whole story for time sake.

He ends up finding companionship because Tamar puts a veil over

her health had takes off for widows garments, but to another

Veil over her head and goes out and sits where unsavory women

would sit the Harlot would sit and he comes along and he goes

into her, she gets pregnant. Now, she's said he was supposed

to Perry, didn't have money. So she said, give me something

to prove, you'll come back, he gave him his Signet and his and

his staff. Remember later when word gets

out hey your daughter-in-law is pregnant.

Goes like this is my chance. Let's get her as killer because

she's clearly been playing the Harlot.

And she says, she sends message to him by the man who owns these

as whose child, this is. That's these two twins.

You see, this is not like the family treat.

I've known people who say you don't want to know about my

family. It gets dirty and gets ugly

quick. I'm like, you know what?

You're not the only one this is one of the things that makes the

Bible so believable to me, is it doesn't protect the greatest

names in the greatest people from the truth and the reality

of the ugliness of sin, like, we talked about this morning, She's

tiled Willis. We already talked about that

Perez. This is interesting because he

was a twin, but he was the second one.

And yet prophecies were that he would dominate.

And indeed the Bloodlines comes through Perez Judah.

The got Perez and zerah by Tamar Perez begat hezron, hezron begat

ram ram to got a minute dad. A minute ab begat nahshon

nahshon begat Salman. There is little known about many

of this accepted a minute. Dad's daughter married Erin the

priests. And so Aaron being Moses

brother, her name was Alice Sheba.

That makes a minute to have the grandpa denied, having a by Hugh

and Eleazar and ithamar. That's about all I could find on

these because actually, to be honest, I began to try to seek

information on these guys in this, in the genealogy, Jesus

more than I have my own. I couldn't tell you this about

my own ancestors. Salman though. we start to

Ruth and Obed begat, Jesse, and Jesse begat David, the King

David, the king begat Solomon by her, who had been the wife of

Uriah That's how I came to, finally, decide what to preach

this morning. We're going to save a lot of

time this afternoon by me, not have to explain her that had

been the wife of Uriah you know, it now.

There are Generations here six of them with a very gloriously

in glorious family tree think about and if you don't know that

Solomon married Rahab you can read about this in Joshua

Joshua 2 · chapter mention

chapters 2 and + 6. And she bore Boaz.

This is Rahab who was a Canaanite, harlot.

You can read this for sure. And Hebrews 11 31, James 225 Now

we know it was her faith and she saw something different about

Israel and she wanted to be protected and be a part of that.

And she winds up because of her stand of Faith, even though she

was really from the enemy. Boaz begat Obed, by Ruth.

That you've read the book of Ruth.

I don't want to go through the this time because we got so much

but it's a great read and it won't take you very long if you

don't know the story. But the fact is so what I want

you to know for the portion of this study is she was a moabite

and in Deuteronomy chapter 23 and verse 3, it says an ammonite

or moabite shall not. Enter the Assembly of the Lord

even to the tenth generation. None of his descendants shall

enter the Assembly of the Lord forever.

Because they did not meet you with bread and water on the road

when you came up out of Egypt because they hired against you

Balaam, the son of beor, frumpy Thor of Mesopotamia to curse

you. If you don't know all those

stories, you have read those, they're great when you can

preach on them. Here's what I want you to get

out of this. One of Jesus's.

Could not even as enter the Assembly of the Lord, according

to the Old Testament. Do you realize when Jesus died

on the cross his blood as it were float forward and

backwards? He was opening up a pathway even

for his ancestors. That didn't exist without his

blood. And what we're going to begin to

fill in this is that he is open up a pathway for everyone in the

same way. Obed, begat, Jesse, and Jesse

begat David, the King David, the king begat Solomon by her, who

had been the wife of Uriah Won't even use her name.

But it reminds us of the sin. You see, sometimes the

consequences we can't get away at get away from.

See how much time we're saving. In Jesus, family, tree so far.

We have found deceit. We found for slavery in his

family, tree, Judah and Joseph, we found fornication between

Judah and Tamar. And now we add cannot adultery

and even murder to the family tree Solomon begat, ribaldry

bigotry, Obama got abijah abijah begat ASA.

Now, Solomon was a man that had was them like no other.

We know that and he learned some pretty tough life lessons.

His son rehoboam You can read about First Kings 14 and 15.

It was basically because he took the bad advice of his peers and

not the good advice of the elders that the whole Kingdom

became divided. Now it was prophesied so I

agree. It was bound to happen but it

was only bound to happen because God knew how irresponsible

riobamba would be about who he gathered and took wisdom and

advice from. So if we learn nothing else from

the family tree than this right here, Value.

The advice of your elders, over the advice of your peers.

When push comes to shove, am I saying, they're always right,

sometimes you'll find that the word of God gives clear

Direction and The Pier is right, and the older was wrong, but on

many cases it's not. There isn't a clear direction.

If you make a mistake, make a mistake listening to your

elders. Abijah and second Chronicles

2 Chronicles 13 · chapter mention

chapter 13 relied on God and he had victory over jeroboam.

Now jeroboam was the one who had the other 10 when the kingdom

divided and they got ugly abide. You was able to overcome

jeroboam at that point in second, chronicles, 14 and 15.

There's ASA, he's good, and right?

And he's loyal to God. Until chapter 16, says late in

his life, he made in a treaty with Syria.

Now, God, scolded ASA through the Seer.

A Seer is kind of like a prophet.

And the prophet came to him and God scolded him.

And so, you know what, he did with the prophet, he did not

say, you know what, you're right, I'm wrong.

I'll be like David, and I will just confess my sin.

Instead he threw the Seer in prison and so God gave him a

disease. Started in his feet and killed

him. We don't know what that disease

is. I know of three people who died

from diseases that started in their feet.

Everyone, I'm diabetic. I'm a bit curious.

If that's what a sad. But the question I have is, why

do people change when they grow old?

We're going to start to notice a pattern as we go through this

and blow through this genealogy. That there were some of the

people that were good when they were younger.

And as they got older, they turned away from God.

What was it that would take ASA and somebody that was loyal to

God did good and right, but later kind of started calling

his own shots. You know, I wonder if it's not

like Paul's warning to the Ephesian Elders that even have

their own cells would arise men. Who would be ravenous wolves?

I've known of people who in their youth and in their younger

days and their young men's age, could could literally explain to

you and defend. You the way we've commune today?

The way we worship today. Everything we stand for, they

could help and identify from the word of God.

Thus saith the Lord and somewhere between 40 and 50.

They became arrogant or something, they began to think

they understood better than this.

And I've had a couple of them. Tell me personally, I know it

says that but I cannot believe that.

Insert whatever. Doctrinal point we're talking

about. And it goes something like that.

What is it? That makes us.

We get older. We been around the block a few

times. That we think we're good?

God, we'll take it from here. I'm not saying everyone does

that but it seems like this man ASA did and he's not alone and

we continue to see that Trend today.

If I as I grow older will remember this And check myself

and my own attitude and my own desire to help others that it

doesn't start to come between my ears, but it comes from the good

book, I will help to protect myself and you will do the same

for yourself as we stand before God in our own chronology of

family ASA. Begat Jehoshaphat Jehoshaphat

began joram and joram. Begat Uzziah Jehoshaphat is you

can read about him in second chronicles 17.

He was a good King. There's another but he made an

alliance with Ahab and Merit in marriage.

Bad choice on who he married and the family.

He connected himself with You can read about lacaille has

warning all about what happened with that.

You know, good people. Can create a bad Alliance.

And it can suffer their genealogy and what goes on as it

were in their Kingdom. This happened with Josh at joram

and second Chronicles chapter, 20 and 21.

He was a bad man, he killed his own Brothers.

He married, Wicked 8/2 daughter and he suffered a bad death,

we'll leave it at that. Zion second chronicles 26 had a

good start but then he was given up to Pride which ended up

giving him leprosy. Who's Zaya begat joatham and

joatham begat ahaz ahaz begat Hezekiah.

Now, Joe them you can read about and second chronicles. 27 just

says he was a good king, that's a summary, I can make a has in

second chronicles, 28 was a bad King, he gave in to the Baal

worship. Hezekiah second chronicles, 29

through 32 is a good King. You see how things going back

and forth Let us not be shocked that we look back and we look at

a generation and say, you know what, things just aren't like

they used to be that's been going on since the beginning.

Ups and downs, ups, and downs. Make sure your generation is on

and up. I can't control the Next

Generation Wade, and his brothers and those kids, they're

going to decide. I can control what my choices

are. And what will I will humble

myself before God or not, you can do the same thing.

You see, part of understanding his genealogy is to see the ups

and downs, and the choices each person had Hezekiah restored,

Temple worship, he kept the Passover.

He even tried to unify the Kingdom because he loved his

Brethren. There is a lot of good things

written his about Hezekiah, a wonderful example.

He destroyed pillars, and, and altars and images, and He

restored truthful warship. but you know, at the end of his

life, he struggled with the sin of Pride as well, He had to

learn humility. Pride, you see it keeps Finding

its way back in Hezekiah, begat Manasses and Manasses begat Amon

and Amon begat, Josiah. Manasseh was a bad King cording.

Second chronicles 33, he rebuilt those altars that have been torn

down the Bell warship. He caused his sons to pass

through the fire. He was guilty of sorcery.

He defiled the temple. And the Bible says he did more

evil than other nations. God's people became more wicked

than the wicked people. but, This is finally a good change.

In fact, in the genealogy of Jesus, I wish there were more of

these. But unfortunately, his genealogy

is write a reflective of ours that seems.

Like there's more people that go bad and stay bad, then, bad

people, that turn good. But now here's an example of

Manasseh that says, it can God humbled him through the

Assyrians. He repented.

He wound up destroying those altars.

He restored true worship before. God.

Then there was a man in second chronicles 33.

He was a bad King. He never did repent and Josiah.

He was a good King. He sought He restored.

He tried to give the BET Josiah's tragedy.

She really came to the fact that he died.

Choosing War. Over piece.

It wasn't really a bad king and you read through what he did and

he wasn't Wicked. He had a chance to choose peace

and he chose War. In the New Testament.

We are taught a whole different concept or under Jesus.

Then you can read about through some of the genealogical things

we're studying. And today, you and I live in a

nation and which we are blessed to be able to choose peace or

War. It's called conscientious

objectors. We're told to love our enemies

as Christians. We're told the weapons of our

Warfare are not carnal but they're Mighty to God building

out strong. It's it's the, it's the sword of

the spirit. It's not machine guns and

missiles. It's true from wrong.

It's when our enemy is hungry, we feed them when they're

thirsty. We give them drink.

We have a choice. Nobody is forcing anybody in

this room or this nation to go to war or align yourself with

people that would kill. Don't make the same mistake.

Josiah made in choosing when he had the opportunity for peace.

He chose war and tragically died.

Josiah begat jeconiah his brothers about the time.

They were carried away to Babylon and after they were

brought to Babylon, Babylon, Jack, and I have begot Shield

Hill, shalt, ill-begotten, Sarah bubble, jeconiah Esther's

chapter 2 and 6, Jeremiah 24 429 that's when they go into

Babylonian captivity. In fact, he is the last declared

king of Judah that I could find. She was dealing with a lot of

kings in the lineage of Jesus up.

To this point, I mean, Patriarchs and kings.

But Jack and I will now be the last one who was declared to be

a king. Shall tell is only revealed as

their bubbles dad. That's really all we know.

Is there a bubble? You can read about in Ezra

Nehemiah haggai and Zechariah. He was a governor of though he

was not a king, the king is Darius King of Babylon according

to haggai chapter 1 and 1. He's a good governor.

In fact he was chosen by the Lord of hosts according to

haggai 2 and 23, he rebuilt the temple and he trusted God, he's

a good guy. But royalty and the language is

now beginning to change in Jesus genealogy.

Is there a bubble begat ABIA to be Hood?

matthan and matthan begat. Jacob, Jacob begat Joseph, the

Now, I don't know if that's interesting to you.

That to me, is interesting because the family tree of Jesus

went to Patriarchs and Keynes to relative obscurity.

Can you find anything about these people?

Until Jesus was finally, Born Into the family of a carpenter.

I'm not sure what that says about the trade of carpentry

relative to other traits. He's a common man.

He's common people and that is exactly.

We're his invitation will go in his ministry.

What can we learn from Jesus family?

True family tree. We can learn that.

Prophecy was fulfilled, concerning the Messiah.

We can learn that social status is not relevant.

It doesn't matter where you came from, and who your family people

and who they were, it matters. Who we are together as the

children of God, and we learned that our parents have an

influence over who we become. But our faith is in our own

control. Think about the kings that would

be good than bad, good than bad. It's almost like it took a bad

parent to make a kid. So you know what?

I don't want to live that way and what a kid had a good

parent. They're like, I don't want to

live that way. And then they went bad and then

their kids, I Don't Wanna Live that way and then they get good

and kissing. I want to live that way.

See this is the same thing going on in your families and my

families and every generation. And every group, what is the key

to weathering? This storm of up and down?

I believe wholeheartedly the key is that you stand firm with

truth? Read an article not too long

ago, I believe was in the light. I don't remember who wrote it.

But I won't forget, I don't think the illustration.

Talked about a farmer Rancher guy whose cow had got off in the

winter and caft clear on the other side of the place.

The snow was bad. The blizzard was coming in.

And they went out to try to get it.

And, of course, the mama took off, and here's this calf in the

snow. And Has his son with him and he

picks up that little calf and starts going back to the barn.

The sun was just worried. This calf can't live.

It's just brand new, but it needs.

Its mama needs the milk and he's the warmth of her body.

It needs mama. He kept his fret over it and

dancing. Don't you worry don't you worry?

Talked about watching his dad, go back into the into the barn.

And in, through all the gates, he left everything open and he

said pretty soon that Mama Cal followed him right into the bar.

They shut it all in the cath, lived, everything was safe.

He said, I learned a big lesson that night, there's some

instincts of motherhood. If they're going to be, we're

going to be where the children are.

He says in some ways that's beautiful in other ways.

He says, I've seen people lead them their children lead the

parents into captivity under the same principle.

Moms and dads. It's tough.

When we have to decide where to be when it comes to our

children. But make sure wherever we are

Wherever You Are. When they're ready to come home,

they come to a place of faithfulness.

That is the most. We can offer them so that their

faith can try to find that plane.

We learn from the family tree of Jesus.

The common trait of those who failed.

They did not have faith in God's word and therefore, they were

disobedient. You can read through all those

chapters. We've really blew through it

really in historical setting. When the New Testament talks

about us having faith in God, it's not just because God wants

us to do what he wants us to do, and just deal with it.

He wants us to have faith in it so we believe it, we see the

value of it. Because he knows if we don't

have faith will give in, I mean, it's like that plan.

When the doctor says, look you need to do this or you need to

do that and you're like okay I'll do it but you're really not

convinced. That's Wilt what it'll take, are

you really not convinced, it'll make that big a difference so

you don't sell out to it. The great physician tells us in

his word, this is how we have to live.

If I believe it the common trait of those who failed, they didn't

believe it and they were disobedient.

The commentary to those who succeeded.

They had faith in God's word. They completely believe it.

They obeyed to it. And when necessary, they

repented, We also learn that God was also always faithful to

receive and forgive repentance, Souls over and over.

When people would repent, God would receive them.

You know, there's a verse there that I put up here on the slide

Isaiah 55:8 night. I had that verse memorized long

Isaiah 55:8

before I knew what it was talking about.

In fact, I quoted that verse, in sermons about other things, that

I believe is true long. Before I knew what that was

talking about. Isaiah 55, 89 for my ways are

not your ways. My thoughts are not your

thoughts, as the heavens are higher than the earth.

So are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your

thoughts. And I always and I believe it's

true, apply it to our worship, this doesn't seem right but

God's ways are higher than our ways.

Certain items have Doctrine doesn't make sense, but God's

ways higher than my voice and that's all true.

But do you know what, Isaiah 55, what he's been talking about?

he's been talking about his mercy and his grace, and his

willingness to forgive And less man.

Say, I just can't believe that I can't I just don't see how God

can really forgive. He says my ways are higher than

your ways and my thoughts are higher than your thoughts.

So the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways.

God is always faithful to receive Andhra forgive those who

will repent. You know, I suppose, when we

consider Jesus, family tree, there are a lot more questions

without closure than there are answers.

And I believe God probably did that intentionally.

But I asked you, what was Jesus perspective of his genealogy.

I've told you what I studied and what I gathered out of the first

16 verses of Matthew chapter 1, Listen to what Jesus said in

Matthew 1 · chapter mention

Matthew, 20, 12, and verse 46. Now the specifically

contextually what happens here is he's inside preaching, and

his mother and his brothers are outside and some people aren't

even sure if he's going crazy or what's really happening and

while he was still talking to the multitudes, behold his

mother. And brothers, stood outside

seeking to speak with him, then once said to him, look your

mother and your brothers are standing outside seeking to

speak with you, but he answered and said to the one who told

him, who is my mother? And who are my brothers?

He stretched out his hand toward his disciples and said, here are

my mother and my brothers for whoever does the will of my

Father in Heaven is my brother and sister.

And mother. I remember hearing this saying

when I was growing up, Bloods thicker than water.

And what that meant by the people, I heard say it was who

you were relative to blood relation to.

That's who are you going to line up with before where you were

baptized and what church? You were a member of Jesus is

not the other way around. God's word is always.

This is my mother. This is my sister.

This is my brother. This is my family.

Does that disassociate him from those people standing outside?

Absolutely not, in fact, you can read where they stayed together

but they knew where he stood when they were outside wanting

him to come out to. He says that's not a place.

I'm going there. Welcome in here.

And you know what they came in, we learned that by the time they

were at the cross. Jesus is saying, John take care

of my mama? Jesus brother.

He's part of the early church, the faithful though.

You see the faithful or adopted in Ephesians chapter 1 and 1.

Ephesians 1 · chapter mention

Paul an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God to the Saints

who are in Ephesus and faithful in Christ Jesus.

This is to those who are Saints and those who are faithful grace

to you and peace from God. Our Father and the Lord Jesus

Christ blessed, be the God, and father of our Lord.

Jesus Christ who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing.

In the Heavenly places in Christ just as he chose us in him

before the foundations of the world that we should be holy and

Without Blame before him in love having predestined us to

adoption as his son by Jesus Christ to himself, according to

the good pleasure of his will to the praise of the glory.

Of his grace by which he made us accepted in the Beloved, how was

it? That we were predestined to

adoption as Sons. Was it just random on God's side

that we have? No real know about like some

would teach It's called Calvinism.

Nope. It's to the Saints who are in

Ephesus and faithful in Christ, Jesus, he predestined long

before all this happened that if people would be faithful, they

would be adopted. That plan was long before all

this started. Now, I'm not going to take the

time right now to give you my two cents worth on that.

But he decided before all this was even created.

How he was going to determine who he would adopt.

He said a plan in order and it required faithfulness in Christ

Jesus. The adopted then that are

adopted, they're not just like put in there to be kind of like

half welcome. Know their heirs according to

Galatians chapter 4 and verse 4 but when the fullness of the

time had come God sent forth his son born of a woman born under

the law to redeem. Those who were under the law

that we might receive the adoption as Sons.

And because you are Sons, God has sent forth the spirit of his

son into your heart, crying out, Abba Father.

Therefore you are no longer a slave but a son and if a son

then an heir of God through Christ You're our adoption into

Christ, through our faithfulness comes with all the blessings, as

if we were natural born. That's just awesome.

You know, when we stop and realize it theologically when we

know God is the father of all, I mean.

So of course, There are two sides to that.

There are conditions of this inheritance.

This inheritance in this faithfulness isn't just left is

like here, come, get it and just receive it.

He says, their conditions for it according to Roman's 11 and 19

and I wanted to use this worse. There's plenty of that we could

use, but Romans chapter 8, Romans chapter 4 gets just

branches He may not spare you either.

Therefore what do you do consider the goodness and

severity of God? On those who fell severity but

toward you goodness? If if you continue in his

goodness, otherwise you also will become You see, it's really

simple. The message is still the same

that said, God wants us and he gave Jesus so that we can be

saved. But here's the deal.

If I don't continue in his goodness, I will also be cut

off. What if you're cut off, can you

repent? Absolutely God is faithful and

just to forgive us and cleanse us of all unrighteousness.
