  1. It's good to see everyone that's here.

  2. This morning, we appreciate you being here.

  3. We have a good crowd, visitors amongst us, and we want to

  4. welcome you. As our honored guests this

  5. morning, And Hebrews the eleventh chapter and verse 7.

  6. The writer there says by faith, Noah being divinely warned of

  7. Things, Not Seen moved with Godly fear.

  8. Prepared an ark for the saving of his household, by which he

  9. condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness, which

  10. is according to Faith. On that last little phrase

  11. righteousness. According to Faith, we are going

  12. to base our thoughts this morning.

  13. I took a lesson from Heroes of Faith that I gave a few years

  14. ago and kind of reworked it a little bit and change some

  15. things a little bit. And so this is a reconditioned

  16. rerun I guess if you want to say So we want to know, notice this

  17. righteousness, which is according to Faith, and without

  18. a doubt, the story of Noah is one of the most familiar and

  19. most love stories in the Bible. And children play with their

  20. little toys of the Ark and the Animals, two by two going into

  21. the ark. And and of course the floods

  22. came And and flooded the Earth. I want to notice some of the

  23. facts about the ark. It was really quite an amazing

  24. ship. If you want to say or boat as

  25. some others considerate Vicki and I were lucky enough about a

  26. year and a half ago to go to the the ark experience or I think is

  27. what they call it a may be wrong about that back in.

  28. Kentucky, some of you others here this morning have been able

  29. to go to that as well. So some of the pictures that

  30. you'll see this morning or of that experience and hopefully it

  31. kind of gives us a little better idea of what was going on in

  32. that day and time. So, let's notice some facts

  33. about the arc. The ark was measured by cubits.

  34. And is in Genesis, the sixth chapter, it gives us the

  35. dimensions of that Arc. Now the Hebrew Cubit was about

  36. 17 and a half inches long. In the Egyptian Cubit was about

  37. 20 and a half inches long and I don't know if you've ever done

  38. this, but I did this this morning, I went out in the

  39. garage and I grabbed a tape tape measure and I measured from the

  40. tip of my finger to the, to the end of my elbow, which is

  41. considered a qubit and it was In inches.

  42. So this is what this is, just a diagram of how the Egyptians,

  43. and the Hebrews measured things in that day and time.

  44. And you can see here that from the into the elbow, to the tip

  45. of the fingers is considered a cubit, of course, that depends

  46. on the size of the person that's doing the measuring well,

  47. apparently, the Egyptians were quite larger than the Hebrews.

  48. The Egyptians about a 20 and a half inches.

  49. That's quite a bit mind. Measured 18, there was a Bigger,

  50. they were bigger people than I was then I am but they did the

  51. Hebrew qubit. Which possibly is what was used,

  52. was about 17 and a half inches. And then we see this this ruler,

  53. if you want to say was probably a Hebrew measuring stick in

  54. those day and time and that's a qubit there.

  55. So the arc Was at least four hundred and thirty seven feet

  56. long according to the Hebrew Cubit and as much as five

  57. hundred and twelve feet long. According to the Egyptian Cubit

  58. you can see this is the Queen Mary 2, how long it is and the

  59. Titanic and some of the other ships that we might be familiar.

  60. and then Noah's Ark was Is he may be about as Max's much as

  61. 512. And I've lost my my battery

  62. power this morning. So I'm going to stay close to

  63. this one here. The width of the Ark was at

  64. least about 73 feet and as much as eighty, four feet wide, You

  65. can see that I've got the little diagram here people, and you can

  66. see that little small thing right there.

  67. This is some of the picture of Vicki and I took last year and a

  68. half ago and that's a person standing over.

  69. You see, the size roughly of the size of this vessel or ship.

  70. It's not something that is really.

  71. We can even fathom in our minds till we kind of go and

  72. experience and see it. It gives you a little bit of

  73. concept of how big this this Arc was the height was at least 43

  74. and a half, forty three point seven, five feet high and as

  75. much as 51. Point 25 feet high.

  76. The ark had a ratio of 30:2 523 and according to master

  77. shipbuilders, the ratio represents an advanced knowledge

  78. of shipbuilding and is the optimum design for stability in

  79. rough Seas. The ark is designed by God was

  80. virtually impossible to capsize. It would have to have rolled on

  81. its side. 90 degrees to be in any Peril of capsize.

  82. Size. Using the shorter Cubit for

  83. calculations the ark would have an internal volume of 1.5

  84. million cubic feet or the equivalent to 560 set, nine

  85. standard railroad boxcars. If the average sized animal was

  86. the size of a sheep, that means the, our could hold over 125,000

  87. sheep. And assuming the shape of the

  88. Ark to be rectangular, there would have been over 100,000

  89. square feet of floor space. So it's quite an amazing ship,

  90. it's quite an amazing structure, it's just quite an amazing piece

  91. of work. We picture, Noah, and his family

  92. huddled in the tiny cramped space of the arc, may be

  93. surrounded by his other loved ones and their families, maybe

  94. their own little cubicles, maybe they were all together.

  95. We don't know all that but But God decided, how he would build

  96. this Ark and certainly there was there was space inside for all

  97. this, but the story of Noah and the Ark is more than just a

  98. children's story. It's a true story about God's

  99. judgment against man and his unfaithfulness about salvation

  100. and Damnation. And perhaps, most of all, it's a

  101. story about one man's faith in God.

  102. The Bible says that Noah was warned.

  103. The flood that was coming in Genesis a sixth chapter will

  104. start reading with verse 5 and read through verse 22, then the

  105. Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth and

  106. that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only

  107. evil continually and the Lord. And I want you, as we read

  108. through this, I want you to think about what's going on in

  109. the world today. Just think about the things that

  110. we're going on in Noah's time and how God got fed up with

  111. that. And what's going on in our world

  112. today and we wonder how long the Lord is going to put up with the

  113. world that we live in today and verse 6.

  114. And the Lord was sorry that he had made man on the earth and he

  115. was grieved in his heart. So the Lord said, I will destroy

  116. man, whom I have created from the face of the Earth, both man

  117. and Beast creeping things, and birds of the air.

  118. For I am sorry that I have made them, but Noah found Grace.

  119. In the eyes of the Lord. This is the genealogy of Noah.

  120. Noah was a just man. Perfect in his Generations, Noah

  121. walked with God and Noah begat Three Sons, Shem, ham and

  122. japheth The Earth also was corrupt before God.

  123. And the Earth was filled with violence, so God looked upon the

  124. Earth. And indeed it was corrupt for

  125. All Flesh, had corrupted their ways on the earth and God said

  126. to Noah. The end of All Flesh has come

  127. before me for the Earth is filled with violence through

  128. them. And behold, I will destroy them

  129. with the Earth, make for yourself an ark of gopher wood,

  130. make rooms in the ark and cover it inside and out with pitch.

  131. And this is how you shall make it the length of the Ark shall

  132. be 300 cubits. Its width 50 cubits and its

  133. height Thirty cubits. You shall make a window, make a

  134. window. For the arc and you shall finish

  135. it to a cubit above from two, qubit from above, and set the

  136. door of the Ark in its side. You shall make it low with lower

  137. second and third decks and behold I myself am bringing

  138. flood waters upon the Earth to destroy from under Heaven, All

  139. Flesh, in which is the Breath of Life Breath of Life.

  140. Every everything that is on the Earth shall die.

  141. But I will establish my Covenant with you, and you shall go into

  142. the ark. You your son's, your wife and

  143. your sons wives with you and of every living thing of All Flesh,

  144. you shall bring two of every sort into the ark to keep them

  145. alive with you. They shall be male and female of

  146. the birds after their kind of animal after their kind of every

  147. creeping things of the earth after its kind.

  148. Two of every kind will come to you too.

  149. Keep them alive and you should take for yourselves of all food

  150. that is eaten and You Shall Gather it to yourselves and it

  151. shall be food for you and for them thus Noah did according to

  152. all that God commanded him. So he did.

  153. There's several things, as we read through that, that kind of

  154. flash into her mind about what's going on today.

  155. You know, the picture certainly that is painted about all the

  156. things that are happening around us, the the reducing of morality

  157. in the world and amongst us, but Noah, was warned of the coming,

  158. Judgment of God. Noah had faith and listen to God

  159. and did as God commanded him, no was found righteous in God's

  160. eyes and found God's favor, Noah lived a righteous life.

  161. And it pleased God, Noah walked with God is what the scripture

  162. teaches us here and Noah acted on the Promises of what was

  163. coming. When we have faith, we listen to

  164. God. And what his warnings are in,

  165. Hebrews the eleventh chapter and verse 6 without faith.

  166. It's impossible to please God. For he who comes to God, must

  167. believe that he is, and that he is, a rewarder of those who

  168. diligently seek him. That's a warning from God.

  169. We need to seek Him in faith, a warning to remain faithful a

  170. warning to not get caught up in the things of this world.

  171. A warning to leave sin alone, a warning to believe everything

  172. God commands us to do and do it without hesitation Because we

  173. don't want to be lost. He doesn't want us to be lost

  174. either but God had lost his patience with man because every

  175. intent of the heart. It says in Genesis 6, every

  176. intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil.

  177. Continually. We see some people today that

  178. just can't seem to get it right. And it seems like they just

  179. continually live in a state of just messing things up

  180. throughout their life, making bad decisions, making poor

  181. decisions, making the wrong decisions.

  182. And the problem today is that a lot of people really don't

  183. believe God or believe in God. And that brings us to our next

  184. point, no moved with Godly fear and verse 7.

  185. This means that Noah had respect and reverence toward God for his

  186. word and for what he had said, no has Faith enabled him to

  187. trust in what God Said. And would happen.

  188. No. Has Faith enabled him to be

  189. obedient to what God told him to do, even though that he might

  190. think it impossible, Or not. Current day, Behavior, if you

  191. want to say or what's going along with, you know, being part

  192. of the world, he was going to be different.

  193. No probably said well I believe what God is said is going to

  194. happen and I better do what God tells me to do and be prepared

  195. for that day. Noah's Faith had caused him to

  196. believe something that in knows. Mine probably was impossible to

  197. do to build something that big that huge.

  198. You saw some of the pictures that we put up on the screen

  199. this morning and how huge this this vessel was this ship was

  200. and he and others built this with the faith that one day what

  201. God Said would happen would happen.

  202. Nothing else had happened like this before.

  203. No, not have ever had ever taken on a project like this before,

  204. and it took approximately between 75 to 100 years to

  205. build. As according to walk, we

  206. understand God calls us to have faith and believe in him, even

  207. though we cannot see him. And believe that what God has

  208. promised, he will provide to us, who remain faithful, when we

  209. have that healthy, fear, that respects.

  210. And References. God and His word will have the

  211. faith that that believes and acts upon the impossible.

  212. Our faith will cause us to move with Godly fear and act on what

  213. we believe and Obey, Romans 10 verses 20 and 21.

    Romans 10:20

  214. For since the creation of the world, his invisible attributes

  215. are clearly seen. Being understood by the things

  216. that are made even his eternal power and godhead.

  217. So that they are without excuse. We see the world around us how

  218. God created and things are around us.

  219. This is evidence of God. Because although they knew God,

  220. they did not glorify him as God nor we're thankful but became

  221. futile in their thoughts and their fuel foolish Hearts were

  222. hardened darken. Sometimes we have a problem

  223. because we can't see We Fall Away, We stray sometimes because

  224. we don't see God's Wrath right in front of us.

  225. We don't see heaven right in front of us but we have faith

  226. that's there because God said it is there.

  227. So we need we continue living the Christian Life.

  228. It wasn't easy for no to go against the grain of the day, if

  229. you want to say against Society at that point in time.

  230. Everybody else. Maybe it turned their back on

  231. God, Noah had warned them just like got Noah had been warned.

  232. But others turn their backs and to make matters worse.

  233. It's likely that most of neighbor knows neighbors.

  234. Thought he was completely crazy. So now let's look how the ark

  235. is. Symbolic of the church.

  236. The Ark of Noah is a great picture and symbol of the church

  237. provided by Christ and is our Ark of Safety First.

  238. Peter 3 and verses 20 and 21 who formerly were disobedient.

  239. When Once the Divine long-suffering, waited in the

  240. days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared and what, which a

  241. few that is eight Souls were saved through water, There is

  242. also an antitype which now saves us.

  243. Baptism, not the removal of the filth of the flesh, but the

  244. answer of a good conscience toward God, through the

  245. resurrection of Jesus Christ. You see.

  246. It's a type of the the ark and he saying is how the baptism

  247. saves us today. That is our Ark of Safety that

  248. is given to us today. There was also one family that

  249. was saved in the flood, every everyone except Noah and his

  250. immediate family didn't believe Noah.

  251. There was only one family. And one name in the church

  252. Galatians 3 and 26 for you are all sons of God through faith in

  253. Christ, Jesus Romans 12 and verse 5.

  254. So we being many are one body in Christ and individually members

  255. of one another. We take on the family name.

  256. And our brothers and sisters with each other, God made a

  257. covenant with Noah Genesis 9 verses 11 and through 13.

    Genesis 9:11

  258. Thus thus, I establish my Covenant with you, never.

  259. Again, shall any flesh. Be cut off By the Waters of the

  260. flood. Never again, shall there be a

  261. flood to destroy the Earth? And God said, this is the sign

  262. of the Covenant, which I make between me and you.

  263. And every living creature that is with you for Perpetual

  264. Generations. I set my rainbow in the cloud

  265. and it shall be for a sign of the Covenant between me and the

  266. Earth, every time you see a rainbow in the sky.

  267. Just remember God put that there as a reminder of his Covenant

  268. with us that he would never flood the Earth again.

  269. Gossip God also made a covenant with us Hebrews 10 and verses 16

  270. through 17. This is the Covenant that I will

  271. make with them. After those days, says the Lord,

  272. I will put my laws into their hearts and in their minds.

  273. I will write them then he adds their sins and their Lawless

  274. Deeds. I will remember no more.

  275. That's a promise. And that's a covenant God made

  276. with us. Did there would be a day that he

  277. would take away our sins and he would remember them, no more and

  278. God has provided the Ark of Safety for us because he loves

  279. us second. Peter 3 and verse 9.

  280. The Lord is not slack concerning his promise as some count

  281. slackness but is long-suffering toward us not willing that any

  282. should perish but that all should come to repentance.

  283. God didn't want everyone to be destroyed in the days of Noah.

  284. If they would listen to his warning and repent and John 3

  285. and verse 16 for God. So loved the world that he gave

  286. his only begotten, son, that whoever believes in him should

  287. not perish but have everlasting life.

  288. So, God has prepared this Ark of Safety for us because he loves

  289. us. There is only one door into the

  290. ark and there is only one way into the Church of Jesus Christ.

  291. In Genesis 6, and verse 16. He says, in set the door of the

  292. Ark and its side. Symbolically listen to what

  293. Thomas had just said to Jesus in John 14 and verses five and six

  294. Lord, we do not know where you are going or how can we know the

  295. way Jesus said to him? I am the way.

  296. I am the truth. I am the life.

  297. No one comes to the father, but through me in other religious

  298. organizations in the world today, man has changed.

  299. What God designed to what they think is a better way.

  300. Or that certain things are not necessary to please God, and be

  301. pleasing to God. Remember faith and remaining

  302. Faithful is what pleases God things that are not faith.

  303. Displease God. You know.

  304. You may have heard this story. I've given the example before,

  305. but Roger, Staubach, who was a Dallas Cowboy quarterback?

  306. They went to Victory to Victory of a Super Bowl in 1970.

  307. Once one, and he admitted that he really struggled with taking

  308. direction from coach Landry, coach Landry would send in every

  309. single play. And Roger Staubach wasn't the

  310. one to be able to make the decisions on which play to run,

  311. but he said, if you ever do that you better, make sure it works.

  312. And Roger, Staubach really had to come to the conclusion that

  313. he needed to Humble himself. If you want to say and face up

  314. and be obedient if you want to say to coach Landry and he said,

  315. once I learned to obey there was Harmony and there was

  316. fulfillment and there was Victory and that's the way it is

  317. with God when we want to do things, our way, when we want to

  318. change, things up to our liking. And we want to well I think

  319. Think it would be better this way.

  320. Or I really don't like that or wouldn't it be better if we did

  321. this? When we have clear instruction

  322. in the scriptures of how God wants it to be and how Jesus

  323. designed them? And we want to change that.

  324. Look at the religious world today, I was watching a video

  325. the other day. That had some guy flying out of

  326. the rafters on a, like a zip line out into the audience and

  327. calling this a church service. It's nothing more than

  328. entertainment, and we don't find anything like that.

  329. With in the scriptures, we're not here to attain entertain,

  330. we're here to obey, and to worship God, this is not for our

  331. liking. It is for God's.

  332. Enjoyment. God's praise.

  333. God's worship. And so, we can't change the

  334. design of things to our liking liking.

  335. There was only one window in the ark, Genesis 6 and 16.

  336. You shall make a window for the ark and you shall finish it to a

  337. cubic from above, Cubit, from above the window, allowed light

  338. into the ark to reveal what was going on inside.

  339. And symbolically, there is only one truth and that is the Bible.

  340. Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path way,

  341. Psalm 119 and 105. There is one only one Arc he

  342. says in Genesis 6 and 14, make yourself an ark of gopher wood,

  343. make rooms in the ark and covered inside and out with

  344. pitch and symbolically, they just like there is only one Arc,

  345. there is only one Church Ephesians four verses four

  346. through six. There is one body and one Spirit

  347. just as you called in one, hope of your calling one Lord, One

  348. Faith, one. Baptism one God and Father of

  349. all, who is above all and through all and in you all,

  350. Isn't it nice? When we can always rely on

  351. something, being the same, something being so simple that

  352. we can rely on that, that we can have faith in that, that we can

  353. have trust in that that we can go about our day realizing that,

  354. we made the right decision. And not wonder about it.

  355. That's God's design. One body the church.

  356. Baptism is the only way you can get into the Ark of Safety and

  357. it takes Faith to go in the right door.

  358. X, 4, and verse 12 nor is there, salvation in any other, for

  359. there is no other name under Heaven, given among men whereby

  360. we must be saved. If God designed the church.

  361. And Christ put his name on it then a church or an organization

  362. that has another name. You can't be saved by that in

  363. John 10 verses 7 through 10. Then Jesus said to them.

    John 10:7–10

  364. Again, most assuredly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.

  365. All who ever came before me are thieves and robbers, but the

  366. Sheep did not hear them. I am the door.

  367. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved, and I will go in and

  368. out and find pasture. I have come that they may have

  369. life and that they may have it more abundantly.

  370. Another illustration. In an NCAA cross country

  371. Championship held in Riverside. California 123 of 128 Runners

  372. missed a turn on the course. One competitor.

  373. Mike del Cabo turned the right way stain on the 10,000 meter

  374. course. And began waving for his fellow

  375. Runners to follow him but he was only able to convince for other

  376. Runners to go with him. When asked what his competitors

  377. thought. Hit about his mid-race decision.

  378. To not follow the crowd, no Cabo said they thought it was funny

  379. that I went the right way. You see there is only one way.

  380. To Heaven. There's only one Church.

  381. There's only one God. There's only one of everything

  382. that he we just read about and we have to make sure we get in

  383. the right way that we get on the right ship that we get in the

  384. Ark of Safety. And don't get on the wrong ship.

  385. There's safety in the ark. It takes Faith to realize God's

  386. love and care for us. Romans 8 and verses 31 and

  387. verses 37 through 39. What then shall we say to these

  388. things if God is for us? Who can be against us?

  389. It in all these things, we are more than conquerors through

  390. him, who loved us for? I am persuaded that neither

  391. death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities nor powers nor

  392. things present, nor things to come nor height nor depth nor

  393. any other created thing shall be able.

  394. To separate us from the love of God which is in Christ.

  395. Jesus, our lord. there's safety in the ark there, safety in the

  396. church because God shows us shows us that he loves us.

  397. We must get in the ark to be saved.

  398. It takes Faith to get in the ark and Genesis 7 and one lord said

  399. to Noah scum, Noah, come into the ark.

  400. You and all your household because I have seen that you are

  401. righteous before me in this generation.

  402. Symbolically, we must be in the church to be saved.

  403. John John 3 and verses 3 through 5.

  404. Jesus answered and said to him, most assuredly I say to you.

  405. Unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom.

  406. Them of God. Nicodemus said to him, how can a

  407. man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into

  408. his mother's womb and be born? Jesus answered most assuredly I

  409. say to you unless one is born of the water and of the spirit, he

  410. cannot enter the kingdom of God. That's kind of scary, isn't it?

  411. So that's how we get into the Ark of Safety.

  412. It's faith that causes us to obey, God.

  413. We must remain in the ark to get.

  414. To our destination. Receive the rewarded takes Faith

  415. to stay in the ark. He know Noah had to remain

  416. faithful for a long time and while he was building the ark

  417. from 75 to 100 years, whatever it was he had to remain

  418. faithful. He had to keep on building.

  419. You know, here I'm 68 years old. And it took longer than that for

  420. Noah to build the ark. And to remain faithful to what

  421. God had promised that he would save. decides to do this now,

  422. No, I had to remain faithful through all the ridicule.

  423. Through all the jeers and and making fun of him and his family

  424. for building this Ark, he had to remain faithful.

  425. There would be tough times in our Christian Life that we have

  426. to remain faithful to fight the ridicule of being a Christian to

  427. fight all the persecution that we might be, that might be sent

  428. towards us. The frustration, the Temptation,

  429. the discouragements of life. In Revelation, 2 and 10 be

  430. faithful unto death and I will give you a crown of life.

  431. It takes courage to go the right way when everyone else seems to

  432. give you going the wrong way, wrong way, just like, I'm sure

  433. there was a little bit of doubt, in this person's mind when he

  434. was running this race. This 10,000 meter race

  435. wondering. Well, now, did I really make the

  436. right decision but he pretty pretty much made his commitment

  437. to that he was going to go the right way.

  438. Regardless of how much the other crowd went the wrong way.

  439. Way, it takes courage to stay in the right way.

  440. Sometimes You must endure the storms that are outside the arc

  441. and dear The Winds of Change that are around us.

  442. Matthew 7, verses 24 through 27. Therefore whoever hears my saint

    Matthew 7:24–27

  443. the same of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man

  444. who built his house upon the rock and the rain descended and

  445. the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house and

  446. it did not fall for it was founded on the Rock.

  447. But everyone who hears these sayings of mine and does not do

  448. them will be like a foolish man who built.

  449. Built his house upon the sand and the rain descended and the

  450. floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house.

  451. And it fell and great was its fall.

  452. Also, James 10 verses, 2 through 8 and verse 12, my brother and

  453. count it all joy. When you fall into various

  454. trials, knowing that the testing of your faith.

  455. Produces patience, but let patience have.

  456. It's perfect work that you may be perfect and complete lacking

  457. nothing. If any of you lacks wisdom, let

  458. him ask of God who gives to all liberally.

  459. And without Reproach, and it will be given to him.

  460. But let him ask in faith with no doubting for, He Who doubts is

  461. like a wave, like a wave of the sea driven, and tossed by the

  462. wind for. Let not met that men suppose

  463. that he will receive anything from the Lord.

  464. He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

  465. Blessed is the man who endures Temptation for, when he has been

  466. approved, he will receive the Crown of Life which the Lord has

  467. promised to those who love him. No one says it's going to be

  468. easy. And sometimes we're going to be,

  469. we're going to be faced with hard decisions in our life.

  470. To remain faithful or to go with the world and some of that

  471. sometimes that's pretty tough decisions for us to make, just

  472. like Noah had to make in that day and time.

  473. But we have to remain faithful to be able to enjoy the

  474. pleasures of Eternity. Outside the arc is death and

  475. drowning in sin. It takes Faith to stay in the

  476. art, Romans 6, and verse 23 for the wages of sin is death.

  477. But the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ, Our Lord

  478. All that is not in the ark will be destroyed, Genesis 4 and

  479. verse 7 verse 4 and I will destroy from the face of the

  480. Earth all living things that I have made.

  481. Listen to what Peter says in second, Peter 2 3 and verse 13

  482. through 14. Knowing this first, that

  483. scoffers will come in the last days.

  484. Again, think about what's going on in our world today.

  485. Knowing this that scoffers will come in the last days walking

  486. according to their own lusts and saying, where is the promise of

  487. his coming for since the father's fell asleep?

  488. All things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.

  489. For this, they willfully forget. That by the word of God, the

  490. heavens were of old and the Earth standing out of water.

  491. And in the Water by which the world that then existed perished

  492. being flooded with water, but the heavens and the Earth which

  493. are now preserved by the same word are reserved for fire until

  494. the day of judgment and Perdition of ungodly men.

  495. But beloved do not forget this one thing that the Lord that

  496. that the with the Lord one day is a thousand years and a

  497. thousand years as one day, the Lord is not slack concerning his

  498. promise as some count slackness but is long-suffering to us

  499. toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all

  500. should come to repentance. But the day of the Lord will

  501. come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away

  502. with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent

  503. heat both the earth and the The Works that are that are in, it

  504. will be burned up. Therefore, since all these

  505. things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to

  506. be in, holy conduct and godliness, looking for, and

  507. hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the

  508. heavens will be dissolved being on fire and the elements will

  509. melt elements will melt with fervent heat.

  510. Nevertheless, we according to his promise, look for the new

  511. heavens and the new Earth in which righteousness, dwells,

  512. therefore, beloved Looking forward to these things, be

  513. diligent that to be found by him in peace without spot and

  514. blameless. So just as no was warned and

  515. that day and time, we are warned of the coming destruction.

  516. So we need to be ready. Well, how can we get into the

  517. ark? How do we get into the ark?

  518. We've noticed that we need to be in the ark, but there is an arc.

  519. There's only one Arc to get into.

  520. There's only one way to get into it.

  521. How do you get into it? Let's notice that first we must

  522. hear the word of God in Romans 10 verse 17.

    Romans 10:17

  523. So then faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.

  524. If we don't ever hear of God, if we don't ever hear of the Ark of

  525. Safety, then we won't obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

  526. So, faith comes from hearing what we need to do, just like,

  527. Noah was told what he needed to do.

  528. He heard God's word, and he acted on it.

  529. But we must believe God also, Mark 16 verse 16, he who

    Mark 16:16

  530. believes and is baptized, will be saved, but he, who does not

  531. believe will be condemned. Also, we must repent.

  532. Luke 13 Verse 3, I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will

    Luke 13:3

  533. all likewise perish. You must confess the name of

  534. Jesus Christ. Matthew 10 verse 32, therefore,

    Matthew 10:32

  535. whoever confesses me before men, him will I confess before.

  536. My father, who is in heaven, And then we must be baptized into

  537. Christ. Acts 2 and verse 38, then Peter

  538. said to them, repent. And let every one of you be

  539. baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins

  540. and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

  541. That's how we get in to the Ark of Safety.

  542. That's how we get into the church.

  543. That's how we become a child of God.

  544. That's how we become born again. That's how we become a new

  545. child. That's how our sins are washed

  546. away. That's how we're cleansed.

  547. Is buying be baptized into Jesus Christ, for the remission of our

  548. sins. Hear the word.

  549. Believe it. Repent of our life.

  550. Maybe that means make a change of heart and mind the changes.

  551. The direction, our life is going to live a life that is dedicated

  552. to living for God. Now, and then being baptized

  553. into Christ, making the confession of our faith that we

  554. believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, and then being

  555. baptized into Christ for the remission of our sins.

  556. And if we stepped out of the Ark of Safety, we confess our faults

  557. James 5 and verse 16 confess your trespasses.

  558. One to another and pray for one another that you may. be healed,

  559. the effective, fervent, prayer of a righteous man avails much

  560. It's a Wonderful story, the story of the Ark and Noah how he

  561. believed, what God commanded him to do for many many, many years,

  562. and eight Souls were saved. We're here because of Noah.

  563. And we want to be in heaven because of our faith.

  564. Believing what God has said that one of these days, the Earth

  565. will be destroyed in all things that are in it.

  566. And we don't want to be, we don't want to be here, we want

  567. to be in heaven, we want to be with God.

  568. So here, the word, believe it, repent confess and be baptized

  569. into Christ for the remission of your sins.
