Once Saved, Always Saved | Allen Bailey

It's a wonderful joy to see the presence of everyone tonight.

We have a wonderful crowd and we appreciate the fact that you are

here and that you may put forth the effort to be here.

I know some of you driven quite a distance, and we totally

understand that. And we appreciate the time, the

effort that you put forth to support this gospel meeting and

to be here as we sing and we pray together.

The prayers have been wonderful. The songs have been well

selected and we want to now study a portion.

Of God's Word, one of the most requested topics in my preaching

and especially in the work that I do in personal work workshops,

whether just one-on-one or or. A.

Group of someone people wanted to study about workshops and

learning how to do personal work and things of that nature.

But one most important topic is what's written on the board.

What saved always saved people all over the country have told

them they said, listen nearly every one of our friends, they

believe what's saved always saved that once you've got it

you're taking punch to heaven. It's always punched and you're

not worried about it anymore. But I thought that'd be really

nice if it were true. The fact is it's not true and I

want to show you from the Bible book chapter verse here they are

on the board any of these first and now to you that are

accustomed to following maybe some preaching that I do around

the country or on YouTube or at Oklahoma City or wherever and

you're in the group of different ones who are doing Bible

markings. This would be a possibility if

you choose to utilize it that you can have it under what's

saved, always saved. And then if you want to use one

or more of these 12 year to do so, use whatever amount you want

to. We've numbered these from left

to right to make it real easy to follow and your Bible studies

with people. And not only that, you know, we

do like we do in all of our sermons in the morning because

we want people to understand what it is we're preaching.

You know, we don't abbreviate books of the Bible.

It's rarely you'll see me abbreviate that.

It's only because not because you don't know it, but visitors

sometimes don't know. And if you abbreviate a book of

the Bible, they don't have clues which one you'll want it.

And therefore I'd like to have it where everyone who chooses to

either take a picture of the board or write down what's on

the board that they are equipped to find the passage that we are

referring to. It's just so important.

A few minor details of change and presenting a message like

full you know, a verse of Scripture that you put the book

chapter and verse. Here you spell out the word.

These are so simple but it helps people.

Have you ever read a book where they had an abbreviation and you

wondered what does that even mean?

Where does that go? You know, a lot of times we

don't know because it's just not a normal school of thought of

where we're at. However, tonight you don't have

that problem. We have all the books of the

Bible written out. We have it all laid out to make

it real clear and what we're going to do.

I am not going to give you the history of what saved always

saved. That is about a 20 minute part

of the presentation that I've chosen to leave out of this

particular lesson. What we want to do, we want to

focus attention, time and effort and absolute attention to the

fact of proving this theory. What's saved always saved is

incorrect. What does incorrect mean?

It means anti biblical. It is not according to the

Bible. Therefore, it's going to be

really easy. We can March right along through

these 12 passages. There's many more we could go

to. I have chosen these 12 because

they have proven to me to be more effective.

When I study with people one-on-one or their family and

myself or someone that I take with me or whatever the case may

be, I will gain more progress with these 12 verses, even six

of the 12, and we'll talk about these as we go along.

Now, what we're going to emphasize here, each of these

verses, standing alone, will help you to answer.

Do you believe in what's saved, always saved?

No, you don't believe that. I doubt if there's anybody here

that believes that. If so, then please listen

carefully and do you that are eager and enthusiastic and talk

to your friends and your family and whoever you can about this

topic, have these verses. They'll be your new best friend.

They will help you be effective in showing people what the Word

of God said. So let's begin.

Point #1 and Luke the 8th chapter, verse 13.

Now, Luke 8 is a parallel passage of Matthew 13.

Most times when you're talking about the parable of the sower,

people go to Matthew 13. That's fine.

Matthew 13, the great place. However, I've chosen by the

wording of Luke 813 to use the Luke passage.

I will briefly say this. In Matthew's account, verses 3

through 9, the Lord gave the parable of the sword and then

verses 18 through 23, Jesus told us what the parable meant.

I wish he did that with everyone, this parable, It would

be a whole lot more than me and you trying to figure out what

did he mean by that? He tells us what it means.

He gives a parable to Matthew 13.

He tells us what it means here. And the 8th verses 18th to 23.

Well, Luke also gives a parable does not go into as much detail

as what Jesus did, but it's really pretty important and very

impressive how he addresses this.

So let's look. Together in Luke the 8th

chapter. I just want to read this one

verse. I'm not talking all about.

Not the powerful sword, because that's not the thrust of today's

lesson, but Luke 813 is a thrust and here's what it says.

The word of God said then on they on the rock are they which

here receive the word with joy, having no root, but which for a

while they believe, but in time of temptation they fall away.

See people when they have Matthew said thorns or stones.

Whenever this occurs in Luke the 8th chapter, you find out that

people are overtaken because of the mere fact that they have

allowed the cares of this life to choke out the word and people

become unfruitful. When people become unfruitful,

the Bible teaches here in Luke 813, they fall away.

Now listen, when you fall away, that proves to you what saved

always saying is not a true doctrine.

It violates this one passage Luke 813 and Lord be willing

before we conclude tonight we can show you 12 passages that

evaluate then violates many others.

I'm just selecting these twelve OK number two and 1st strength

in nine and 27. I love this passage.

The apostle Paul is Speaking of himself, and he's making a point

that every one of us need to understand, Paul said in First

Corinthians 9 and 27. I keep under my own body, and I

bring it under subjection, lest that I try and preach to others,

get a hold of this. I myself should be castaway.

I mean, that's hard for me to fathom.

I can remember a time in my earlier preaching years it never

crossed my mind that Paul would ever be a castaway or he would

lose his soul. The man that wrote fourteen of

the 27 books of the Bible, the man that had that miraculous

event happened in the book of Acts and Outs chapter.

We had that conversation with Jesus and he said, who art thou,

Lord? And Jesus said, I am Jesus and

now you're persecuted. And it's quite a conversation

that they had. But let me tell you something,

Paul the apostle makes it abundantly clear.

And I want every man, woman, boy and girl here to get this point

in Chapter 9 and 27 to keep your own body under subjection,

practice self-control in your life.

I have a study that I love to study for myself.

I need this and that is self-control and I've strutted

this off and on for several years because I know me and I

need that. It affects many parts of my life

that I need to practice self-control and the Word of God

teaches here. Paul said I keep under my own

body. I'll watch after my own self

after I preach to you. I can be a castaway.

That is a sobering thought. Now this passage is not on the

board, but if you want to write one, put parentheses on it.

Write James 3 verse one. Where James said, be not many

teachers, for they shall receive the great condemnation.

Ouch. I mean, that almost makes you

not want to be a preacher. I mean, you're James three one.

You're under greater condemnation.

The Lord is going to look at you and judge you according to how

effective you've handled the word of God.

This is very, very important today.

Whenever you tell somebody something biblically,

spiritually, it is imperative that you make sure that you're

telling them what the Bible says.

Book, chapter, verse. You share with them the Word of

God. No whiffs, no ads, no butts.

No, I think it could be this way, or it could be that way, or

it may be another way. I don't want to hear that.

Give them book, chapter, verse. Give them a scripture.

Jesus said this, God's word said this Holy Spirit inspired that.

Let people know what the word of God said.

Don't worry about what you say or what I say.

That's very immature as far as being very valuable.

No, no, what's important is what the God's word say and that's

exactly what we find here in 1st 2927.

Paul said I've got to really watch out for old Allen, or in

his case old Paul Blessed after I.

Preach to you, I could be a castaway.

My dear friend, I don't want you to ever lose your soul.

I've dedicated my life to try to help people go to heaven.

I'm very fortunate. I do realize I lived in the

household of my family. My dad who was an evangelist,

who was an elder of the congregation in LaGrange, GA.

Not all of that. I live 4 houses down from my

grandfather EH Miller, who was an evangelist but he's also an

elder. And all of my life, or at least

all of my life from adolescent years on up, he was an elder and

there was other elders in the congregation.

But that was a great joy. And I learned a lot and and I

listened a lot. And I wanted to be like they

were, not all of them, but other people like them.

That love the Lord enough and they will make personal

sacrifices to do the right thing and and be the right person.

But that's what's important here.

Well, Paul, addressing in no uncertain term, watch out for

yourself. I've got a lesson.

I brought it with you, but I'm not have time to preach.

You know this go around. But that is simply this.

Take heed unto yourself. Self examination is very very

important. That's what Paul has mentioned,

without using the terminology I keep under my own.

Self, I take you to yourself and he's talking about what he does

for himself. Very important number three.

Look at the very next chapter. You make me even flip a page or

you may not even need to in your Bible first print in the 10th

chapter verse 12, the apostle Paul said wherefore my brethren,

I want you to take heed lest ye fall 1st Corinthians 10 and

verse 12. Now take a good look at that

passage. Now don't lose the title once

saved, always saved. This task we have on this

section of our preaching. We're going to use these 12

passages to show this is a false doctrine.

Now you're going to hear this taught on radio, no television

on Internet. You'll hear it talk with anybody

in the denomination of the world.

Majority of the people going to teach you once they would always

say they will talk about how great this person was or that

person was and and people are going to leave the convey the

edge they're right with the Lord, they're going to heaven

when they die. I'll tell you something today.

I want people to be saved. Those outside the church God

will judge according to First Corinthians chapter 5, verse 13.

1 Corinthians 5:13

We judge those within same passage 1st 25 and verse 13.

But what's important is what did Paul say?

I want you to get this, and I don't want you to miss one point

of what Paul said in 1st 2010. Twelve Paul said, Wherefore,

brethren, I want you to take heed.

Be alert, be conscious, be aware, take heed, lest ye fall.

Do what? Fall.

Let's see what fall. What saved?

Always saved. Now listen.

Would the apostle Paul have ever warned us about falling if we

could never fall to begin with? Would he have ever warned you?

Now don't do this. It's impossible to do anyway.

He would never warn you about doing something you cannot do to

begin with. He doesn't you, you really can't

fall, but just be careful that you don't.

No, no, no. He let him be laying on breath.

I want you to be on your guard. I want you to be alert.

I want you to be conscious. Be aware that you could fall

just like the previous chapter. In Chapter 9 and 27, Paul said I

can fall. Now in chapter 10 says you can

fall. He's driving a point home very,

very clear and that is that we all should stay true to the

course. The course is set forth by Jesus

Christ and his apostles and other inspired men of God is so

wonderful. And here Paul is saying to the

Corinthian church, a great congregation that had a lot of

issues. I'm not knocking that, but there

there were new converts. The congregation was newly

established and we we're at Rodney at home at 20 1st St. in

Oklahoma City. We're focusing in on every

Wednesday night. We're studying more and more of

First Corinthian. As a matter of fact, Lord be

willing, when I get home on Monday afternoon, on Wednesday,

I'm going to start in on explaining First Corinthians.

Chapter seven got 40 verses. No, I'm not doing one lesson and

maybe two, maybe 3. But it's very, very important

because these are very important truths and it's teaching people

if you do these things, you'll go to heaven.

If you don't, you won't. And they're all referring to

marriage type questions. Well, here we find in first in

1012, Paul said, I want to be honest with you brethren, here's

the deal. You've got to take heedless to

fall. Paul would have never warned us

about falling if we can never fall.

That's one of the ways you can know without any shadow of doubt

that once saved, always saved to the false doctrine, because Paul

would have never told the Church of Carpent you got to watch out

unless you fall, if they could not fall anyway.

But that's not it doesn't take a rocket.

Scientist to grab that point. All right, let's look at #4

Galatians one verse 6 through 9. This is one of the rarities of

Scripture. You're going to see Paul

repeating himself. And in Galatians one, I want to

look at the passages. I'm going to read verses 6

through 9, and then I'm going to explain them, but I'm going to

read them without comment. I want you to take a good look

at what we're finding here because what we're finding here

is so very important and it's going to really be a genuine

help to us. So would you go with me to the

Book of Galatians, chapter one, verses 6 through 9?

Now what we find here, let me give you a little bit of history

behind the congregation of Galatia.

The brethren Galatia were good people, just like every

congregation mentioned in the New Testament, those 14 from

Romans through Thessalonica, wonderful Christians with a lot

of challenges and difficulties. And those seven churches of

Asia, wonderful people, but have some problems.

They have some strength, but they have some weaknesses.

Guess what? They're just like me and just

like you. We are not perfect, We make

mistakes, we sin, and we need to learn to get rid of our sins.

Now what we find in Galatian, the Galatian Christians, they

were born under the Mosaic Law, the Law of Moses before the Lord

of Christ came into effect. They were born under that law.

They wanted to hang tight under that law, the Mosaic Law.

They do not want to turn it loose, however, they wanted to

embrace Jesus Christ and crucified.

They wanted to embrace grace and truth that came by Jesus.

They wanted that. But here's what they really

wanted. One hand on the Old Testament,

one hand on the New Testament, and they wanted to ride it out.

Guess what? It can't be done, can't do it.

Is it possible to go by both lawns at the same time?

And this is what has been addressed right here.

And Paul the apostle said these words.

And I'm going to read these passages from the King James

Version, the passes that I preach out.

Of most of the time and Galatians chapter one, verse six

and nine. Let's listen carefully what Paul

said. Please listen.

I'm marvel. That means I'm amazed.

I marvel that you're so soon removed from him.

They called you into the grace of Christ, and to another gospel

which is not another. But there be some that trouble

you. I would pervert the gospel of

Christ, but though we or anything from heaven, preach any

other gospel unto you than thou which we preach.

Let him be accursed. I like this part.

This is what's unique different about Paul's writing here.

He said as I've said before, so say I now again, if any man

preach any other gospel than what I preach to you, let him be

a curse. Galatians one verse six and

nine. Now when you look back up here,

verse six and seven when he said I marvel or I'm amazed that

you're so soon removed. Things were new Christians and

they were quick to fall away and Paul said please listen to me.

I am amazed. I am shocked that you're so soon

removed and going into another gospel.

But he said which is not another.

Now many of your translation, if you're using an up to date

modern translation, it will word it slightly different, but

perhaps more clear, more clear than the King James, what you'll

probably find and your passage here.

And I want to talk with you a little bit about this because

this is very, very important. I want to talk about this word

another because what Paul said is very, very interesting when

he says that. I'm so amazed that you're moved

to another gospel which is not another.

Did he contradict himself? No, he didn't contradict.

Himself, let us never think that No, no, no, he used two

different Greek words. Two different words, two

different Greek words, one English word, the word another.

Now you'll find out two different Greek words used here.

And here's one of the Greek words.

Alas, this. Is very important you find this

word, alas, and it simply means a lot.

You'll see some Greek studies call it the same.

Now there's another Greek word for the English word, another,

and this is heteros, HETEROS, heteros.

Now heteros talks about something that is different.

This is very important and I ask you to pay very close attention

because this here will help to understand and appreciate the

teaching of Galatians from chapter one to chapter 6.

It's very, very important. So he's saying, here I am marvel

that you're so soon removing him, that causing the grace of

Christ into another gospel, another of a different gospel,

which is not another of the same kind.

You follow me, he said. I am amazed that you're so soon

removed to follow something different, which is not the same

thing. It's not alike what you've

already obeyed. So Paul the Apostle is driving

this point very much home with these people, letting the

Galatians know you have made a move in the wrong direction.

You have gone after something that is totally different than

what we have presented, totally different than what you've

already obeyed. It's you're not going after.

Something that's just like what you've obeyed.

You're not going after the same thing.

No, no, you're going after something totally different, a

heteros, a different gospel. My dear friends, today that

shows you and that shows me the possibility of falling.

The reality. These Galatian Christians have

done just what you did. They obeyed the gospel of

baptism. They became son and daughters of

God Almighty. They became brothers and sisters

of those that were living in that day and time.

This is wonderful, but this is huge that we understand.

All of this comes from Galatians 1 verses 6 through 9 and

Galatians 1:6–9

learning the difference between a loss of verse 6 and heteros of

verse 7. Grabbing this, being able to

share with your friends, looking at your translation of

preference, whichever one that you may be using it will help to

understand what we're writing right here.

Matter of fact, many of your version will very likely use the

word alike, which is not alike what you have, and it also used

the word different, but not every one of them There.

I've read many many versions of it, but you get the.

Point We're proven by this passage the possibility of

falling. I want everybody to know that I

don't want you to believe me. Get a hold of this and please

listen. I don't want you to get to the

point that you believe the likelihood is you're going to

fall because that's not right. I don't want you to.

Well, I'll probably go to hell. No, that's not right in there.

I want you to be mad enough, woman enough.

Strong enough that you're a resistant of the Satan of sin,

of evil, and all those wicked things the devil puts before

you. You let people know I'm

dedicated to serving the Lord. This is real, true, loyal

commitment to you. I'm going to stay following the

Allah's Gospel, same thing that he preached.

I'm going to obey everyone of you in this assembly who are new

converts in the last three months, six months, a year, two

years. Everyone of you here who was

born and raised in the Lord's Church, every one of us here.

It is so imperative that we stay true to God's Word and we let

nothing get in our way of being faithful.

All the way to the day that we die for the Lord comes back.

This is huge and we have learned from reading Galatians 169 how

it is and what he really meant. He meant exactly what he said,

but he illustrated it this way with the one English word

another the two different Greek words.

If you have any question whatever about that particular

point from Galatians one, please, after services, we're

having a a social gathering where we'll have refreshments

and such like. I'll be glad to visit with you

and we can go into more detail if you would like to.

OK, Galatians five and four, by the way, look at points 4-5 and

six. They're all from Galatians.

They're all doing the same thing.

And and what Paul is really. Striving to do is to stabilize

the Christians. Now listen, it's OK for you to

feel unstable at times. It's not OK for you to stay

further than unstable. I want you to be a God fearing

man and a God fearing woman and you know you got some things

wrong in your life. You see how quickly you can get

rid of the wrong and you can embrace the right things of your

life and Galatians 5 and verse 4.

This is a great passage. It's one that illustrates the

mere fact that you cannot go by the law of Christ and the law of

Moses at the same time. The word of God, said Christ,

has no effect unto you. This is the Galatians five and

four. Christ is not effect unto you if

you're justified by the law. Now listen what he's talking

about here. If you're justified by the law,

that is the Old Testament. That is the law of Moses.

If you're justified by the law of Moses, if you're going by the

Old Testament, you're going away from the grace and truth.

That came by Jesus Christ. You can't do them both.

Paul told us that you know what he meant.

He meant just what he said. No, if no, if no buts He knew

exactly what he said. You can't go back to the old

law, but you can stay true to the new.

Stay true to what Jesus brought. Jesus replaced many of the old

law teachings with the truth of what God's will was.

Much more can be said on that, but we will continue to press

on. But you now know Pop Galatians

169 teaches. You now know Pop Galatians 5 and

verse. Four teach you.

Now we're going to look at Galatians 6.

And verse one. I like this factors too.

You say, well, you like them all.

I really do. You know, people at home cut up

with me and they say, you know what we've learned about you.

You've been here for 20 years. You've been preaching for 20

years plus the time you've been here, but 20 years right here,

and we've learned that your favorite scripture is one you're

preaching on. Well, they're right.

I can't argue with that. Because it is.

Because I love learning every word, every phrase, every

passage, every context of Scripture.

I love it. But I get it said to hear

preachers preaching, congregation of teachers

teaching as important biblical truths, and we just listen and

soak it up like a sponge. Oh, it's so important.

Let's look at Galatians 6:00 and 1:00.

The word of God says the following and this is so

beautiful. It's really encouraging to me,

although it establishes our premise for the lesson tonight.

Once saved, always saved to the false doctrine.

And we never, ever want you to believe that Galatians six,

first one begins the word brethren.

It said, brethren, if any man is overtaken in a fault.

Wait a minute. Whoa, I didn't think you could

commit sin. I didn't think you could fault.

But apparently you can't because he warned the Galatians.

Brethren, if any man is overtaken in a fault, you which

a spiritual restore such one and spirit of meekness, considering

yourself that you also be tempted.

Friends, please listen in an effort to help other people to

become stronger spiritually. The Bible teaches help other

people, but at the same time watch out what you're doing.

Very similar to what Paul said in first year to 927.

I keep finding my own body and I bring them in a suggestion

that's not going to preach to you.

I could be a castaway. He realized I've got to watch

out for me. I want to watch out for you, but

I also got to watch out for me. Paul said, well now right here,

he's illustrated Galatians 6 verse one is called them

brethren. They're baptized believers.

He said I want you to be. Fully aware of the fact that

even after you reach out and try to help others, you could be a

castaway. You can lose your soul.

My dear friends, we are wanting to present to you a very

positive message that will help you in every way.

Go to heaven. It'll help you cleanse your life

of, of sin and Satan and evil and all that stuff.

It will help you. But you know what's going to

have to happen? You're going to have to want to

go to heaven bad enough to make some good choices.

You know, one of the things and I, I'm trying to think the

actual theme of the Oklahoma New Year meeting a few weeks ago,

but it was one of the things that talked about rejoicing in

Philippians 4. Rejoicing.

But you know, it is a choice to rejoice.

I preached on that at the New Year meeting.

It is a joy and it's a choice to rejoice.

It is a choice that you make to do the right thing, or it's a

choice that you make to do the wrong thing.

We've got to be like Paul in the Corinthian.

We've got to be like Paul directing the Galatian brethren.

And he wanted them to make the right choice.

To do the right thing. Oh my dear Christian friends,

listen, you don't let anything get in your way of living a

Christian life. You don't let anybody get in

your way. You don't let any job, any

school, any career, you don't let anything get in your way.

God is first. Jesus said it this way.

Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and all these things will

be added to you. You know what it meant?

He meant seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all these

things will be added to you. He meant exactly what he said.

So don't guess second guess Jesus.

Don't try to figure out how to wiggle around what he said.

Just simply say speak. Lord, thy servant Herod, your,

your servant Herod command Lord, I will obey you live a life of

obedience. You do his will.

You keep his will. You obey his will.

You observe his will you hold his will, fire hold fast.

There are many verses of Scripture.

You've got to do that. That's where your level, high

level of commitment comes in. One day, and I don't know when

it's going to be, but one day this world's going to come to an

end and this earth and everything they're in the Bible

said by writing of the Apostle Peters can be burned up.

Wow. I mean burned up.

Now, what's going to be important?

Are you ready to meet your Maker or not?

Because see, what saved, always saved is not true.

And if you just sit back and do nothing, you're acting like

you're saying nothing you can do to be lost and that is not

accurate. I want you to do the right

thing, make the right decision, pray to God and say thank you

God for all that you've done and ask God to forgive you.

As a baptized believer, that is one of the most beautiful,

precious gifts that we have from above and that is simply this,

that we can pray to God for forgiveness as a baptized

believer. Let me give you an example.

Acts is done on the board now to write this one down.

Acts 8 and verse 22 when Simon the sorcerer was baptized, he

was baptized back in verse 13. Acts 8 verse 13, he was baptized

Acts 8:13

and sometimes when verse 13 and verses around 20, he said I

don't know if it was the day after noon next day, I don't

know. I don't really care.

I don't know where it was, but I do know this Peter lit him up.

Peter said your man who perished with you, you think the gift of

God be perched with money. You're offering US money so we

could you can do what the apostles are able to do.

He let him know in no uncertain terms.

Your heart's not. Right at the sight of God.

You know what that shows me? That shows me you can fall from

grace. See, there's a lot of verses of

Scripture that we never use to prove the theory that we have

here we're talking about. But we need to.

But what we need to do is have these verses so clean, so clear,

so methodical. You lay it down and it would

take a rocket scientist to figure it out that hey, boy,

that's right, we can lose ourselves.

What? Once saved, always saved is such

a false doctrine. It's hard for me to imagine

people embracing it, but they do, and they do it by the

thousands. They do it by the hundreds of

thousands. But let me tell you what, I

don't want you to do it. I do not want any of you,

however long or however little you've been in the Lord's

church. I don't want you to ever, ever

embrace that. Once I'm saved, I'm always

saved. You've obeyed the gospel, many

of you have. And the baptistry right here,

you became a son or daughter of God.

You became a brother and sister of this congregation.

Now I want to tell you something about all of that.

You made a commitment to the Lord.

It's time to fulfill your commitment.

You don't have anything. Get in your way of doing the

right thing. Oh, there's so much more we

could talk about here. Well, we're going to move on.

Live with me, please. First Timothy four and one.

You know, Paul is writing this young preacher.

That's first Timothy 4 verse one.

Paul is doing everything he could to stabilize Timothy and

get him ready. Paul loved Timothy.

You know, Timothy mother was in the church, his grandmother was

in the church. They were known as Eunice and

Lois. We typically today we pronounce

it Eunice. It's my understanding that in

the Bible days in the 1st century.

They called it Eunice, but whatever it's called, it's OK

Eunice. That's fine.

I had one of my elders wives in in LaGrange, GA.

Her name is Eunice. I never heard her calling you.

Nicest well whatever it is it's OK.

I just want you to know this when you look at first Timothy 4

and verse one here's what we're going to find.

This is again one of those past you where Paul was really

stabilized in Timothy and I I man this passage really hits

home. Run now the Spirit.

This is chapter four of first Timothy verse one.

Now the Spirit speaketh expressly that some shall depart

from the faith. Wait a minute, I didn't think

you could fall from the faith. Yeah, you can, it said.

Spirit speaketh expressly that in a lot of time some shall

depart from the faith. You know why he said that?

Because it's possible to fall from grace.

All these verses are so clear. I'm I'm assuring you this these

I've looked at. I've used many, many verses.

There have been times I've used verses that didn't even include

the end of these 12. But in the last number of years,

these passenger out here, they're not taken to a very

successful Bible. Study and then it's my

opportunity to help convert someone, Paul said.

The Spirit, thus Holy Spirit speaketh expressly.

The sun shall depart from the faith.

They'll give heed to seduce and spirits and doctrines of devil.

They're going to be people followed the doctrines of devil,

even though they've been baptized different.

Don't let it be you. That's the main point I want to

get across today. I don't want any of you, young

or old. We've got some very precious

eternal souls in our assembly. Variety of physical ages,

spiritual ages. That's all wonderful.

I just don't want you to ever lose sight that once saved

always saves a false doctrine. It is a going to hell offense.

And if you embrace that, you'll lose your soul.

I want you to be the man or the woman who said, let me tell you

one thing. I know this is false and I know

we have all these verses that will support that it is false.

OK, now look at point #8 and point #9.

It's both from Hebrew. Now I'll tell you something.

I want to draw you a comparison between Galatians.

We noticed three of those .45 and six to Hebrews.

Now, there's more I could have talked about in Hebrews, but I

just include the two because I know that by the time I get

through 12, it's already time to have to quit preaching.

And don't go looking at your clock.

It's 8:30, I'll tell you, OK? But let's be real.

What we find right here in Hebrew is a similarity of

Galatia, but it's not identically the same thing.

OK, you remember what I mentioned about Galatians?

They wanted one hand of the Lord of Moses and the other hand of

the Lord of Christ. You remember that from a few

minutes ago where the Hebrew people weren't trying to do

that. They were going to abandon the

Lord of Christ completely. And it's in an entirety.

Some of them are willing to abandon Jesus and go back to the

old law. Guess what?

Paul's dead. It's not a good idea.

It's not going to be of any benefit.

So I want to look at these two verses.

Once you look at Hebrew 3 and 12, this passage right here is

going to say it's so clear that everybody can understand it.

And then we've got to just be committed.

We've got to be committed to do the right thing, made the right

choices. Hebrews 3 and 12, the word of

God said take heed brethren, if you're wondering if they're

remember the church or not, live that word, brethren.

Take heed brethren, lest there be in any of you and even heart

of unbelief and departed from the living God.

Why would he say and departed from the living God.

If you cannot depart from the living God because you can, you

can depart from God's wonderful. Grace Abrah, 312 He told them

they were brethren. Paul wanted them to stay there.

Of course. He didn't want them to wander

away. You know, there are times that

we worry about people. We're concerned when they seem

to be slowly drifting away. And we want to grab them and

pull them back in because it gets hot in hell.

It is eternity in hell. We don't want anybody to be lost

in hell. We want you to hear the right

words. Well done.

We want you to be a good and faithful servant.

Let me tell you what the only way you're going to ever hear

well done, not good and faithful servant is if you've done well

and you are a good and faithful servant.

That's the only way you can ever hear from God.

Are you with me? Hebrew 312.

Now let's go to chapter 10 and 26.

Now Paul is getting really wound up right here.

I love preaching about Hebrew, the 10th chapter and verse 26.

You know, when when Paul writing this particular point, he makes

it so clear that sometimes it kind of makes us sit back a

little bit. I remember distinctly I

misunderstood this passage earlier on in my preaching.

And when I read that the first number of times, I thought, man,

this is not good. Hebrew 1026 the Bible says the

following. How you look at it, it's very

clear for if we sin willfully. After.

We've received the knowledge of the truth.

There remaineth no more sacrifice for sin.

That's a great passage. But you know what?

I thought it meant you there were meeting back in Manteca

back July, maybe last year. I explained it there too.

But you can hear it again. Hebrew 1026 If we sin willfully,

after we receive the knowledge of the truth, no more sacrifice

is granted for you. What that means is if you sin

and what I was afraid of, let me first say that what I was afraid

of, I was afraid of what I thought it meant.

If you sin, knowing you sin, when you sin, you are a goner.

There's nothing you can do to be.

Saved. I was so thankful to find out I

was wrong. That's not what he meant.

I was. Wrong.

I want you to get used to saying I'm wrong, OK?

Why don't you get used to saying that?

There's some people I just almost think they just don't

know how to say I'm wrong. I want you to learn to say I'm

wrong. I want you to learn to say I

have sin because those things can help you go to heaven.

Therefore he said in Hebrew the 10th chapter, verse 26, he said

there's no more sacrifice for sin.

You know where the sacrifice is all the way back to the old law.

They go back to the Mosaic, the law, law of Moses.

You go back to the Old Testament.

You know they had daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi

annually and annual sacrifices also.

Hey, there's no more sacrificing for sin.

Those days are gone. This passage is not on the

board, but you may want to write it down. 1st Serenthem 5 and

verse 7. And he said the Christ is our

Passover is sacrifice for us. First Corinthians 5 verse seven.

Dear friends, when we do things God's way, going to heaven

becomes a piece of cake. It's wonderful.

God went through a lot. He gave up his begotten,

begotten Son. Jesus went through a lot.

He gave up his life. My dear friend, it's time for me

and for you, man or woman, that we do a lot, and that is we give

our heart, soul, mind and strength to the Lord.

We let nothing get in our way. Well, you now see the

similarities of Hebrews and Galatians, but you also see the

difference, all right. Let's look at verse.

Ten. Wow, this is the last passage.

James, the brother of our Lord says the following.

Confess your faults 1 to another, pray one for another.

Why? That you may be healed.

You know why you need to confess?

The Bible says you're false. Guess what?

Once saved, always saved is false because you got to confess

your faults. If you've got faults, they need

to confess it. I don't think go hanging on to

him until. What?

I don't care what your sin is, it's not worth going to hell

over. Please understand that it's not

worth going to hell over. You confess your sin.

The word confess means to own up to, to acknowledge your sin.

As a matter of fact, there's two passages of scripture you can

find that one is James 5 and 16 and the other is first John

chapter one. It says if you confess your sin,

God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sin and to

cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

We've got it made. We're living a Christian life.

We know God's truth. We can sing, we can pray, we can

teach, we can commute, we can contribute.

We are members of God's family, the sky.

Is the limit. I just want you to always be so

determined that you're not going to let anything or anybody or

any circumstance keep you away from living up faithful life.

But the mere fact that confessing your faults 1 to

another, it shows that as a baptized believer, you can still

have faults. And it shows you that what's

saved, always saved is a false doctrine.

OK, verse 11. I'm sorry, point #11 only has

one chapter. I put a.

One there just for the sake of those who are not in the queen

of the Scripture as what you may be, but it's book of Jude on one

chapter. I put chapter one and verse 24.

You know, this is the book you find right before the Book of

Revelation and it's really a good book.

It's a book that teaches about a lot of people that make them bad

choices. And when you look at James the

1st chapter and verse 24, I'm sorry about James, Jude, Jude

the 1st chapter and verse 24. Here's what he said.

This is the next to the last. Verse of the.

Book of Jude. Here's what he said.

Not unto him. That saved you to get hold of

this keep you from. Falling not unto him that's able

to keep you from falling, and because then you faultless

before the presence of the glory of exceeding joy, the Lord can

keep you from falling. I thought you couldn't fall.

You can before we get through tonight.

Everybody, this assembly, I have confidence in you.

You won't realize what saved always saved, the false

doctrine. We could fall, but we can rally

back if we choose to see. You have to make a choice to be

in a position to rejoice. You know what I don't want?

I do not want us to lose the joy of our salvation.

You remember the day he was baptized?

Wow, that was the best day of your life.

You became a son or daughter of God Almighty.

You come out of that water grave of baptism and my dear friend,

the blessings from above came to you.

It is fabulous. I.

Just want you to know this right here.

When you're living a dedicated life, you are letting nothing

get in your way of continuing faithful until the day the Lord

comes back or until the day your life ends.

OK, let's look at the last point, Revelation 2, verse four

and five. Now Revelation 2, verse four and

five is very similar to a couple of other places.

We're talking about the seven congregations of Asia.

Two of the seven congregations had done things that were not in

accordance to the will of God. Chapter 2 is talking to the

congregation of Ephesus. Now it's a great study and I

love preaching on it, but all I'm talking about is 2 verses of

Revelation 2 and Revelation chapter three.

Look at Revelation 2, the Angel of the Church of Ephesus.

You can see that in verse one, two verse one, it identifies the

congregation. We now looking at the Church of

Ephesus. So there and then verse one.

Now look at verse four and five. He said, nevertheless, he'd

already bragged on him a little bit.

But he said nevertheless, in other words, uh oh, he got a

problem with us. Nevertheless, I have somewhat

against him. What can he possibly have

against him after all the goodness in great things he said

He said because. You've left your first life.

Whoa. What a mind boggling thought.

You've left your first love. Listen friends, don't dare lose

your first love. Look at the dance first.

Remember therefore, whence you have fallen.

Why do you think you could fall? Well yeah, you can't remember

where you've fallen. This is Christian people,

baptized believers. Remember where you have fallen

and repent and do the 1st works. He said RLS or else I'm coming

to you quickly and I'm going to remove the counterstick out of

his place. And you're not having one.

You're not having a counterstick either.

I'm going to remove the counterstick out of his place.

Except I repent. Wow, my dear friend, I just ask

of you, I beg of you, I'm honored to be here at the Plants

Rd. congregation. I am honored to study the Word

of God with you. It is a great joy.

And tonight I want us to get a good handle on the fact of what

saved, always saved and how it's not a true doctrine.

It's disproven by these and many, many other passages of

scripture. And you can take these passages,

you can put in your Bible markings.

You can take these passages and put them wherever you put

anything that you can put your finger on real quick when you

have an opportunity to study instead of the word of God's

people. Well, there's a lot more I could

say, but I'm going to let tonight go down to be completed.

It's such a pleasure. You've been a great audience and

it's a joy to be with you and worship tonight.

Now my question to you is, Are you ready to meet your Maker?

If today were the end of the world, have you sinned and for

whatever reason you've hung on to it?

If you have, get rid of it. Have the baptized believer

repent of your sins, confess your faults and we'll pray with

him for you to God Almighty that He'll forgive you everything and

you being reinstated. Into the Lamb's book of life.

If you've never been baptized, Oh my friends, you just don't

know what you're missing. The you don't have the privilege

of saying our Father, which art in heaven because he's not your

father and you're not his son or daughter, but you need to be.

You heard the word believe it, repent of your sin, confess the

beautiful, glorious, magnificent name of Jesus be buried in

baptism to wash the way your sins they've got in this

facility the baptistry water a candidate.

You're the candidate. Please come while stand while.
